YAP ABOUT HASEMURA
this is such a dangerous ask oh my goodness
alright gang let's talk hasemura.
oh um kinda spoilers ig??? idk proceed w caution…
they are my everything sigh i can’t stop drawing them n thinking about them…..
I find their characters to be particularly interesting as a pair. they are two sides of the same coin. I think from woodshop we’ve gotten a good idea of kamimura’s life; he’s really on his own. no parents, hardly any friends, and just ignored by society. on his own, isolated as he couldn’t even get out of bed, drowning in his own self hatred, and forgotten by the world.
then there’s hasegawa, a microcelebrity on game shows with a caring mother and sister, making tons of money from being on tv for these shows. he’s an intelligent kid who’s got many possible paths for his life. and yet, he probably feels a similar way to kamimura. this is the kid who just goes to school and comes back home most of the time, spending his leisure time studying for school and trivia shows. not to mention hasegawa’s anxiety making his day to day life more difficult. of course, he’s not as alone as kamimura, but that doesn’t mean there may not be something that makes him feel alone despite being surrounded by people (plus the absence of his late sister). sometimes everything is just too much and not enough at the same time.
his family is definitely worried of his whereabouts, but other than that, who else is worried about them?
for some reason, kamimura was drawn to hasegawa, and hasegawa was drawn to him in turn. it’s quite beautiful, two people tossed around by life and just getting through day by day finding something, someone, to look forward to. in this shitty hellhole, watching other teenagers kill each other and, they managed to find someone who got them. these two finally get to act like teenagers, the dumb, genuine first love teens will have, the banter, the care, everything. they can be themselves. they can be who they wanted to be that wasn’t possible outside.
how ironic, isn’t it? somehow, they achieved what they couldn’t have in the regular world. in some fucked up way, the killing game brought them together by something as stupid as fate.
of course their time is pretty limited— let’s face it they’re not both getting out alive. but even so, they have connected so quickly and so meaningfully, being the shoulder to cry on, the hand to hold.
in the end, they’re just two kids who were hiding from the world, who managed to find love in their hiding spot.
#tetro danganronpa#tetro danganronpa pink#tetro pink#kamimura kazutoshi#hasegawa ken#hasemura#kamigawa#this was so cheesy but like#i love them#WHO LET ME YAP ABOUT THEM BRO 😭#tysm for the ask i am ALWAYS here to talk about hasemura#PLSSSS TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS N FEELINGS ABOUT HASEMURA 😈😈😈

Wolfgang Akire through the lens of the law: an analysis
i would like to give a disclaimer that while im very interested in the law, im not a lawyer or in law school. my knowledge comes from the few law classes i have taken, participation in a couple mock trials, and some personal research, so please take this with a grain of salt! if im missing something or saying something inaccurate, please let me know! i am always open to learning more!! not to mention this is my understanding of law in the United States, so this may differ by country.
in the end, this isn’t meant to be too serious, just using the knowledge i do have and applying it to p:eg!!!
okay now spoilers for the prologue and all of chapter 1!
well ig before we get into it let me say rest in peace a king... I will miss you, you hypocritical bastard........
alright, so firstly, let’s consider Wolfgang’s character profile.
two things stand out to me here. the first is how he has “successfully defended over 200 of his clients without dropping a single case.” we can infer that Wolfgang is a criminal defense attorney. it’s possible he could be a lawyer in the civil law sector instead, but considering his strong feelings about murder and crime, and the fact that this is Danganronpa, it leads me to believe he is a criminal attorney for the sake of relevance (I don't think any of us would care if he were a corporate attorney after all).
now, that sentence you just read is particularly interesting in the case of Wolfgang Akire. From the prologue's mock trial, we can see that Wolfgang feels very passionately about murder, condemning the murderer even without insight as to why they committed the crime, instead big on retribution and justice (which the definition of could definitely be debated). Yet, as a defense lawyer, Wolfgang would have been defending people from criminal accusations, from anything to armed robbery, arson, or murder. we’re not particularly sure on his view of other crime, but we can assume he also has a similarly negative view of it that he has of murder. out of 200 people (within such a short time span of finishing law school too), what are the odds that out of all 200, not one of them was actually guilty? of course, lawyers have the ability to drop or not take on cases, but as his profile says, he hasn’t dropped a single case! it’s quite possible he had complete faith that every client was innocent, but with the evidence and files he’d have to go through, he had to have seen something that was damning and prepared accordingly to address in the most sympathetic way possible to avoid prosecution winning their case. and that's the thing with Wolfgang; his job requires building sympathy for the accused, and it requires sowing seeds of doubt in prosecution's case. there had to have been someone that he was defending from an accurate charge(s). so whether he knew it or not, he has very likely defended people guilty of crime; and yet, he still feels very adamantly against them.
Here's where I fall short on my analysis; I honestly do not know what to make of this conclusion. his behavior and his ideals are almost contradictory in a sense. is this insight to wolfgang's clear hypocrisy? but what does that really say about him? I'd love to know what any of y'all think in regards to this :0
Now, the second thing that stands out to me is that he wants to make sure that everyone is fairly represented and make sure logic and evidence drive the discussion. While this does seem to be true, the mock trial shows that he lets his feelings become a big part of the discussion as well. everything he does screams prosecutor to me, so it was shocking to find out he works as defense. Wolfgang has a very interesting way of viewing things, almost dichotomous, unlike what his profile says. it's similar to the format of a trial, where it's not meant to be a team working together to find the complexities and nuance within a certain issue, but rather an attempt to prove your point and disprove the other side. trials aren't supposed to be a discussion where everyone reaches the truth together (Danganronpa trials are not very accurate but of course I don't think they were intended to be in the first place), they are for you to win your case-- as a defense attorney, its poking as many holes into the prosecution’s case as possible. (little fun side note, this is very similar to how debate works; Wolfgang and Damon are a lot more alike than one would originally think.)
Considering all of this, it makes me wonder if Wolfgang was intentionally trying to split the group apart,,,, because it's easier. because it makes more sense. as defense, lawyers may pin the crime on another, but without the burden of proof that prosecution does, they can sling out accusations to increase doubt on prosecutions case without having to actually prove it (that would be left for a separate case). it's easier to divide a group and have a bunch of people follow you while isolating the 'other side', and with that division made, it's more likely someone you isolated will be the 'villian' anyways; and in this case, this was true-- Eva, who has been socially ostracized her whole life, was driven to murder to protect herself from the blinding fear that everyone was out for her (even if that wasn't entirely true). this could be just how Wolfgang has gotten used to going through his life. maybe the bad habits he picked up from his father were the divisive kind of us vs them mindset lawyers have to have in a courtroom.
speaking of his father, let's address the motive-- there's so many things that Wolfgang's blackmail could be about; faking his law degree, not taking the bar exam, defending horrible people, the list goes on. Honestly, a scenario i have considered is that it's about him defending his father for a crime he actually did commit, yet winning the case; or his father commuting a crime in general and winning his case, leaving Wolfgang conflicted as that is the sort of thing he does all the time, yet his father had just taken away his mothers life and gotten free (this is very much just me guessing a possibility though). when Wolfgang was hallucinating, he says he's not like them (to diana who he thinks is someone else) and he'll never be like them; It's most likely that he saw his father. the theory I'm going with right now is that his father was at the very least heavily involved in the likely murder of his mother (thus bring her back in reference to his mom). his father was probably also a lawyer and may have pushed wolfgang into going into the field himself, especially when he sent him to law school as a teenager. maybe Wolfgang wanted to live up to the expectations his father had of him. who knows exactly what Wolfgang wanted everyone to know him as, it was probably a long the lines of a competent lawyer. but, as of right now it's all speculation (objection! haha.... that was not funny my bad), so again, I'd love to hear some thoughts.
Another little funny thing i'd like to note is when Damon and Eva come back to the dinning hall and Wolfgang asks where they've been, Damon responds saying it was for discussing the motive. He's internally smug about how defeated Wolfgang seemed to be by that, and I thought that the funniest shit; very similar to being on cross examination, thinking you have the witness in your hands, when suddenly they wiggle out of your accusation. he's so real for that.
that is pretty much all i've got so far! let me know what y'all think and thanks for reading!!! :)

CHAPTER 1 EDEN'S GARDEN EXECUTION SPOILERS
wow that shit was DEVASTATING. wow. just that was so much to see.
watching eva's execution reminded me of the origins of the treadmill. treadmills were first used in the 19th century in British prisons as ways to keep the prisoners exercising. it was an attempt at prison reform but when you're having people walk for like 6 hrs a day, it's debatable on if it's more humane when many of them fall off n injure themselves, or even having breakdowns, but have to continue anyways. yeah idk just thought it was kinda interesting to see a treadmill-like contraption being used. rip Eva that shit was high-key depressing I will be crying for the next few hours </3

well this aged guys
SAW YOU POST ABOUT PROJECT EDEN'S GARDEN WHO DO YOU THINK WILL DIE IN CHAPTER 1??? ILL PROB REBLOG MY GUESS AFTER/IF YOU ANSWER. THAT WAY I DONT INFLUENCE YOUR OWN PREDICTIONS!!
!P:EG predictions! Not particularly spoilers cause I'm prolly wrong but proceed w caution I guess!
dude I genuinely have no fucking clue.... I'm just hoping it's not kai we CANNOT lose my king fr,,,, but if I had to guess, the most likely candidates would be Wolfgang, Eva, or maybe a bit too much of a stretch but Damon?
im not the only one who thinks Wolfgang might be going first, and I solely say it's a possibility that could put Damon in a really suspicious light and bring us to the group further dividing. Not only that, but by having the lawyer character, the most trustworthy person to a majority of the cast, be gone for the trials would make everything much harder and might even cause the cast to give up a bit easier.
Eva I could see dying similarly to Rantaro and a lot of her significance would become clear later. Maybe we'd get a peak of her importance and then suddenly she's murdered.
Damon I'm just throwing out there bc it'd be pretty interesting to see the protagonist to die, and so soon. Honestly tho, I'd see it more as someone attempting to kill him but not actually succeeding yk....
I'd love to hear what people think! I have a lot of faith in the team working on Eden's garden to deliver a phenomenal story regardless! I'm excited to see what they actually do :0

so true i cant make coherent thoughts after this week oh my god.
SO UHM WHAT THE FUCK
spoilers under the cut because genuinely so much shit happened today in day 20
Looking back to what I said at the start of the day thinking nothing too extreme or horrific was gonna happen and instead it’ll focus more on the subtle relationships and combating the cold. As well as me pointing out how the tetro spoilers chat was suspiciously slow
BOY HOW WAS I WRONG???
So we got what was essentially ice fairy 2.0 but this time nobody around to stop Okazaki physically assaulting Wada so ruthlessly unlike Yanagi and how he hid away in his room to hide what has happened to him. And what the ever living fuck was going on with Okazaki’s motive for this??? And if I thought the tetro server in ice fairy was a war event I could not have prepared for the absolute mayhem that was good child I am scarred for life.
Hiroaki coming out as gay holy fucking Christ if I was traumatised from good child then boy talk set me over the moon. Buuuut there’s also how devastating it is with this conformation how we’ve learnt about Hiroaki’s struggles with compulsorily heterosexuality due to all the stigma about being gay and how much he forces himself to hide who he is and I already did a mini analysis on this but aaaaaaa. At least this means the odds of hirojima becoming canon have dramatically shot up.
The whole conflict with tamba beginning to lose it and having a mental break at hayashi screaming at her and blaming her for the deaths of the others because she said she’d protect them. And how hayashi was alone crying after what tamba said to her and especially after that with tamba showing a ton of growth when she was talking to Tsuno and feeling legitimately bad about her lapse of anger and wanting to apologise to hayashi
Kamimura’s backstory being shown with his chronic depression and how it’s been heavily affecting his life to where he can’t even get out of bed on lots of days and how he felt when he dropped out of school and nobody really cared. And him starting to believe he has a worthless existence which that and his depression lead to him becoming suicidal and wishing to disappear in which from confession game we already know he attempted multiple times. And hasegawa being so worried and genuinely upset for kamimura saying that he cares so much about him and what I can only assume was kamimura about to confess to hasegawa only to back out of it???
HAYASHI DISAPPEARING IN THE LAST EPISODE??? Like I was worried from the last episode of last Friday that she’d try to break the rules and she tried to bust down the door in which monomoko came in and teleported away with hayashi only for the remaining 3 to hear a horrifying piano note and high pitched ringing and becoming extremely frightened over what just happened and the text at the end? And oh my god in the staffside threads we learned that hayashi got teleported to the facility and now she’s under heavy restrains in DR KANS LAB??? OH MY GOD NO NO FUCK NO NO FUCK. AT LEAST YONEKURA IS MORE ATTENTIVE ON HIS DIRECT INFLUENCE ON THE KILLING GAME NOW? But oh my god what is he going to do to hayashi we’ve seen the absolute torture that he’s done to the interns hayashi is not coming back in one piece. I have so many thoughts on this scene but I’ll save them for a ramble later when my brain isn’t as messed up
