so when you take the gymnastics stuff away, and put her in a terrifying death game, you see a heavily flawed person who cant emotionally regulate well and isn't too skilled at reasoning

I present to you a silly idea: “On the Run” AU.

The kids manage to escape and manage to do so with one of the scientists' phone. Okazaki gets the funny idea of “hey let’s live tweet our escape and doxx our captors” especially when she finds out her mom is involved. So she hacks Hiroaki’s social media and takes a picture of them all together and the following tweets are unhinged and shit.

“Yo, got kidnapped with 15 other people including THEE Hiroaki Nakamigawa and Chiba Airi!!!!! We’re currently trying to find a way home without getting kidnapped or killed again. Please send help if you want or something idk.”

“Also btw here are the faces of the peeps that kidnapped us.”

The rest of the tweets are just the kids going on a roadtrip until they find a safe place, which just so happens to be Hasegawa’s sister (along with the police) intercepting. When Ken asks Mao who she found them, Mao is like “The person with the fox mask hacked Hiroaki’s social media has been live tweeting EVERYTHING. The internet has been going CRAZY.”

The kids get to look back at the tweets later and it’s just utter fucking chaos. Someone streamed the scientists' arrest. There’s a picture of Yanagi eating McDonald’s. They have pictures of sleepovers in the woods. There’s a video of Ojima walking into a tree and falling backwards on impact and landing on Hiroaki. Kamimura said something sassy and Okazaki got it on camera and it became a meme overnight. There’s a video of Chiba playing with Sawa. Hama’s mom went ballistic in one of the posts like “THAT’S MY SON WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU”. The comments on the post are insane.

The kids have millions of followers overnight and some of them just . . . Deleted social media. There’s no coming back after this. They’re all famous now.

Tamba is beautifully written as a flawed character who can be cruel not out of maliciousness but impulse and ignorance. Seeing her has helped me be more courteous to people in my own life rather than jumping to conclusions.

i have such feelings on tamba. i liked her and then i couldnt stand her and then i absolutely loved her with my entire heart and soul. shes the realest mfer in that building. everyone thinks they'd be good in a killing game but actually you'd all be tamba.
