And now, a tiny rant/explaination that no one will care about but I feel like I need to bring it up or some people might have questions lol;

From what I remember I don’t think Dr. Lanyon was ever given a first name in the book, if he did have name I forgot. I know he’s been given different names throughout the years, but I’m going off of the cartoon from the 1980s, and in that version his name is Dr. Haste Lanyon. After some research, I found that a feminine name similar to that in the 1800s was Hasty, so I used that. I apologize for any confusion, and honestly I’m not sure how much I like that name so I might very well change it, but as of right now her name is Dr. Hasty Lanyon.

And before anyone asks, yes, I have read ‘The Glass Scientists’ Comics, but I wanted to make my own designs. I have nothing against the artist and the writing, it’s still an amazing comic and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Jekyll and Hyde. (I haven’t really read in the past few years tho, I got caught up in life and found other interests. If I felt like going through three years worth of comics I’ve missed, I’d probably start reading it again, but alas I don’t feel like it lol. I still recommend it tho, it has a great storyline and a beautiful art style)

okay i’m finally ready to talk about the archer ending because HUH. i’m sorry but what the fuck even was that. that shit made me GLAD it’s over.

i wanted to avoid saying anything cos i didn’t wanna be overly negative but fuck that i can say what i want.

these new writers, man. the One thing i liked about the new seasons written by them was that they were forcing archer to consider his mortality a bit more and then they just. did a complete 180 in Into The Cold? idk.

i get it’s supposed to be reminiscent of season 1-5 with all the cold war stuff, katya, slater, archer falling back into old habits, the Unknown Dad Thing, etc but they just. did it badly. they did it badly. and it was boring too, that’s what gets me. i checked how long was left multiple times because i was waiting for it to be over. my close-second favourite show that i’ve loved for 5 years.

it ended and i felt nothing.

So for a very long time I like to do a yearly wrap up in my private journal before the new year starts. It’s a basic summary of what I’ve done over the year, what I look forward to in the coming year and also a goal. Or maybe a wish is a better way to say it

And to be completely honest I can’t think of a single goal right now, nothing that I covet so deeply. For maybe the first time in my life I am content with where I am at.

Is it perfect? Not by any stretch. But it’s safe and it’s mine and I don’t really have a greater wish than that.

This year was filled with so much growth and firsts for me. It wasn’t exactly smooth riding but I’ve grown so damn much that the hills look like bumps looking back. And I’ve proud of myself for the growth. I have little things I want to change, and anxiety to manage but for the first time in my life, the hole in my chest is a little smaller I think.
