A/n: i love vampires! Thanks for the request! I’m going to try a new format so bear with me. I also think this is the first time i wrote about Shikamaru. I’ve made shorter bullet points but with more concepts.

♥ Neji finds you fascinating, despite his original hesitation he couldn’t help but want to learn more about you and your experiences as a vampire. Once he got over his discomfort he’d ask to see your fangs like I said, he was fascinated by you. ♥

♥ Like Shikamaru he’s very understanding when you need sleep and how your sleep schedule is less than orthodox. He likes when you stay with him at night when you’re usually awake and just lay in bed with him while he sleeps. It makes him feel safe. ♥

♥ Does he let you bite him? At first it was a resounding absolutely not, as much as he loved you his fear still ran deep even if he didn’t show it. Before he got comfortable, your fangs made him nervous but after an awhile he opened up more to the idea and finally let you bite him. He enjoyed it much more than he’d confess.♥

♥ He understood your nature and the fact you could get a little too passionate sometimes and accidentally bite too hard. In order to not upset you he tries to suppress the pain he’s feeling but it’s evident all over his face. He was relieved when you apologized and licked the excess blood away. ♥

♥ As a vampire you definitely have mood swings, he’s fairly good at handling them by keeping calm and not turning it into something bigger than it needs to be, he gets that you can’t control it. ♥

♥ He definitely wasn’t as freaked out as Neji, it intrigued him more than anything. Wasn’t a big fan of the idea of being bitten though, he’s seen horrible things so he didn’t mind you being a vampire. ♥

♥ He learns to appreciate your culture as a vampire and humor in your deep seated hatred of most vampire media for obvious reasons. He didn’t get much sleep at night so it was nice to have someone to stay up with him.♥

♥ As I mentioned, he enjoys your non existent sleep schedule because he doesn’t like to be alone at night. So the fact that you can stay up with him is amazing and relieving to him. It doesn’t matter what you two do together he just wants to be with you, no matter how much he denies it.♥

♥ Now the pressing question; does he let you bite him? Surprisingly yet unsurprisingly yes he does but not without hesitation the first few times, he’s not sure how he feels about the feeling of his blood leaving his body, it’s not like you’re rough with him but it’s still sharp objects piercing the skin. He gets that’s how you eat and is happy to supply.♥

You grew up alone in the hidden leaf village being left on the door steps of the third hokage. The only reason he knew you were apart of the hidden L/n clan was based off of a tattoo you had on your ankle.

He and a select few knew what had happened to your clan the horrible massacre that took upon your family leaving you an orphan. The third hokage gladly took you in a raised you as his own daughter but was clear to make sure to not hide who you were and what your past consisted of.

You now at the age of 18 could master all five nature transformations. You went through intense training after the chunin exams and went through hidden training but sometimes the third would have you train with an actual team. And the team he chose was Gai sensei.

That’s when you first met Neji Hyuga, you were both the same age and had the same set of skills. At that time you could only master two of the nature transformations, water release and wind release.

“Third Hokage what a surprise.” Gai said walking into the room, you kept your head down on your paper writing down things to study. “This is Y/n. I would like for you to train her with your team for now.” Gai gladly accepted and brought you to the training grounds where everyone else was waiting.

You saying that Neji is one of the most requested characters actually reminded me of an angst plot line I thought about a couple weeks ago.

I don’t usually think about Neji dying (because he shouldn’t have but that’s besides the point) but it does have really good angst potential.

I imagine an alpha who’s a bright person, kinda like Naruto but to a lesser degree and they have a huge crush on Neji. I’m talking ginormous crush on him. They meet Neji when they both enter the academy because they’re also a shinobi but they don’t interact with him very often because he’s Neji.

During the Chunin exams when Neji reveals what the Hyuga clan has done to him they make it their mission to help Neji get out of the clan. They go to see Neji after his match (they lost in the previous matches) to make sure he’s alright and then they promise to help him be free from his clan. Neji being Neji denies the alpha at first because he’s stubborn and doesn’t want the help but as they get older he can’t help but think about the promise the alpha made to him.

During the war the alpha almost dies and when Neji comes to check up in them they tell him that they refuse to die so easily because they made a promise to him and they intend to keep it for when the war is over. I like to think it would reflect when the alpha first made the promise to him with the alpha being hurt instead. Neji is the tiniest bit less stubborn and while he doesn’t directly accept the alpha’s words it’s clear by his body language that he is more accepting to the alpha now that he’s older. Then he dies :D

The alpha basically falls apart when he does. They feel like a failure, like an awful alpha, their chest hurts so much they feel like they’re dying. They don’t understand why it had to be Neji (I’d change his death to an accidental one honestly because his canon one is bad) he just wanted to be free and live how he wanted but instead his life got cut short at 18 with him still being a prisoner.

When the war ends the alpha can barely do anything. They can’t eat, can’t go anywhere, can’t get out of bed and can barely sleep because they see Neji is their dreams. In said dreams Neji often blames the poor alpha for not protecting him like they promised they would. Their friends come to see them to comfort them but it doesn’t work because they can’t bring Neji back to life. Their friends are super worried about them because it’s been almost 4 months and the alpha hasn’t had any improvement and just keeps drowning further and further into their grief.

I had 3 ideas for the ending 1 angst, 1 bittersweet, and 1 hopeful. One was that the alpha dies from the heartbreak of losing Neji. They weren’t mated but they loved Neji so much that they just couldn’t take it.

The second one is that the alpha decides to just give up and waste away. They’re friends stop them and get the alpha help but they will never be the same. Yes they have their friends with them but they don’t have Neji. They appreciate their friends but they just wanted to be with Neji again. The alpha keeps living as a husk of what they were before but at least they have their loved ones to help them.

The last one is that the alpha decides to live for Neji. To help make the change Neji wanted in the Hyuga clan. When Hinata becomes head they help her fight for the side branch members to be treated equally to main branch members and they adopt a child from the Hyuga clan. They don’t mate or court anyone else but they are content with their child and other loved ones.

Also Hinata treats them like family because I love found family and she knows how much the alpha loves Neji. She also is their biggest supporter both while they are grieving and after because I said so.

I swear this is the biggest idea I’ve had in a while. My brain has been legit empty ever since. Neji both fills my brain with many thoughts and empties it all the same. I wanted to make this into a story but seasonal depression hit hard so :\

I adore the idea of the alpha dedicating their life to living in a way that honours Neji. They help fix the Hyuuga clan with Hinata, they adopt a Hyuuga orphan, they look after his old team and make sure all his friends are doing well. It's bittersweet, but 🥺

They all turned their heads to find Neji and Tenten by the doorway, dressed in matching formal wear. Tenten’s dress was a rich red with a keyhole clasp at her collar, the side slits were high and her muscular legs were on full display as she walked. Her hair was braided, buns were decorated in hair pins and sticks, her ruby earrings were shining bright and she had a matching fan strapped to her wrist. Her makeup was dark, and yet brought out her chocolate eyes that had spects of gold illuminating from them. Her lips glazed with a red pigment.  Neji was sporting a deep merlot top with long sleeves and matching pants. His hair untied with his curse mark covered by a black silk headband. He had his elbow bent as Tenten clenched his bicep, clearly a bit uncomfortable by the amount of people she would have to interact with. The Hyuga’s eyes glanced at his teammate, who lifted his chin in silent understanding. A small smile came to Lee’s face as he watched the two of them be approached by a crowd; they really did look good together. 

Tenten was introduced to many different business men, some of which already knew Neji. They congratulated her on her engagement (She supposed that her aunt had flaunted the news as soon as Tenten had told her when they arrived) into the Hyuga clan and asked Neji about business topics. The Hua shinobi was actually mesmerized as she watched Neji interact with the crowd; he held himself as if he was Lord Hiashi. He was calm, collected, and knew exactly what to say. His charm was spewing from his face, and he even forced a laugh when one of the business partners said something that was only moderately funny. Tenten looked around as they spoke, her friends were mingling as well, her younger cousin sticking by Rock Lee as they walked around. The music had started and people continued to drink and be merry. Dinner was served and they all sat. Tenten and Neji sat with the Hua family at the head of the table, Tenten seated to the right of her Aunt Chao-Xing with Neji to her left. Kai sat on Chao’s right with their parents next to her. Team Kakashi and Lee sat with Haitao, and a few other of Tenten’s cousins (Kai-Ming’s kids who were about sixteen and seventeen). The head of the Hua family raised a toast to her niece for a healthy and prosperous marriage as well as continued success in her shinobi career. After dinner, the mingling continued…a bit too much for Tenten’s liking. She and Neji were getting questions about various topics of if they would relocate to the Land of Rivers? Will Tenten take over the family due to her marriage and being the oldest grandchild? How many children would she have? They’re so fucking nosey…is this really how they talk? So casually? The bunhead answered the questions with very vague responses and a forced smile, the sides of her mouth twitching slightly. Lady Chao had suddenly appeared to whisk Neji away to a group of her other business partners to be introduced to from…the Land of Snow? Tenten wasn’t sure, but she took that as an excuse to pardon herself and hustled over to Lee, who was leaning against the wall on the far side of the room. He greeted her with a bright smile.

“You look beautiful, Ten.”

Tenten returned the smile and stood next to him, leaning against his arm. 

“This is way too much for me.” She murmured. “Neji is better at this than I am.”

Rock Lee offered his arm to her, which she took and rested her cheek against his bicep. 

“Well, it would seem as though Lord Hiashi brings him along to such events often. It is as if he is in his natural element.” 

“I guess,” Tenten hummed as she eyed Neji from across the room. “My aunt is certainly eating him up. I can’t tell who she's happier to see; me or Neji.”

Lee shook his head. “Do not think about it too hard, Lotus.”

“Yeah, yeah.” she groaned. “I’m so tired. So much happened today. I just want to finish my report and sleep.”

The green beast nodded in understanding, between the fire, saving her cousin, and hunting for clues, she deserves a rest. As Tenten began to grumble to herself about how much she couldn’t stand dressing up in such a way for a stupid dinner party, a realization had hit Lee.

“Tenten,” he looked down at her. “You are…allowing me to touch you.”

The brunette looked up at him curiously. She was holding his arm comfortably. Her body hadn’t tensed and she actually craved Lee’s comforting touch. A smile spread wide across his face; he was happy she was returning to herself again. The bunhead rubbed her cheek against his warm bicep; it wasn’t her old self unfortunately, but a new version of herself that still wanted the same things she used to want. The bowl cut shinobi pulled her into a side hug. He mumbled something incoherent to himself and continued to look out into the large crowd with Tenten attached to him. Tenten paid it no mind though, she was people watching. After a moment, she felt a shiver go down her spine and glanced to her far left. Her eyes had locked onto a taller man wearing a black suit, his hair slicked back and he was looking right at her.  She blinked, feeling a bit uncomfortable because she absolutely loathed being stared at. But there was something familiar about his face…

Then, his eyes flashed violet for a split second and changed back into their black disguise. 

Tenten stood at attention, suddenly alert at the man. He finished his conversation with the group before walking over to her. Lee hummed as he noticed his presence. The man with violet eyes bowed slightly to her.

“Lady Hua,” he smiled. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance. Allow me to introduce myself as well as my fellow colleagues.”

Tenten stared at him hard. Her hesitation was noticed by her teammate next to her. Lee looked at her curiously, wondering why she’s hesitating. A chance…if it’s him. She pursed her lips together. Only one way to find out. The weapons mistress tapped on Lee’s arm, stating that she would return. The man held out his hand to her, to which she slowly slid her fingers onto his palm. A formal touch as he kept his elbow up and led her through the crowd. Rock Lee watched as she walked off with the man, his hand went to his radio.

“I want…to help you, Tenten.” he said. “It seems as though we are looking for similar things; I am hunting down the monsters who killed my best friend…and you are looking for your father’s life work. Am I correct?”

Tenten’s eyebrows pushed downwards on her forehead. How could he have known? Then again, why else would she even be in Takumi Village? There had to be some price to this exchange.

“I think we both can help each other out here…” he continued casually. “That is, if you want my help. You’re a grown young lady, you can make your own decisions.”

The energy in the area shifted. Tenten’s spine tingled as she felt another pair of eyes on her but she didn’t dare to glance beside her. Her pinky twitched, as if something were pulling at it slightly, a chakra source perhaps. She watched as the violet eyed man cocked an eyebrow as she had appeared to be considering his offer. She would be conspiring with a criminal, technically. However, this was her father’s best friend. His story seemed to have checked out, although she still found it unsettling that he had cornered her cousin. Behind him, Tenten could see a figure leaning against a tree not too far from their current location. Her attention only slightly wavered as she brushed it off and used her fan to cover her mouth.

“I am going to take your hesitation as an acknowledgement that we are being watched.”

Tenten’s eyes grew wide as she looked at him. 

“You are very intelligent for that. It seems as though you may not trust your bodyguard either. Good, trust no one.” Akaji smiled in amusement. “I think we will get along well.”

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a sealing tag. The characters were written in bright red ink that intrigued the weapons mistress. She plucked it from his fingers and eyed it. His name was at the center of the seal. Just as she is able to transport weapons from her storage through her seals, people can use seals to transport themselves. Like the fourth Hokage, Minato was able to “teleport” using the seals on his kunai and transport himself quickly once they were planted in the desired location. 

“You can summon a clone of me, or send me things. There are multiple ways to use this seal as you already know.” he shoved his hands into his pockets. “I will be looking forward to hearing from you, Lady Tenten.”

Akaji finally pivoted his body to face the figure behind him. The weapons mistress nearly gasped at his sudden action.

“I almost didn’t notice you there. You are quite the ANBU.” 

The figure stepped forward and Tenten pursed her lips together. He was there the whole time? How did he know I was out here?  The ANBU’s white and blue mask flashed as he got closer. The beak of the bird represented more present and detailed. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his black shinobi pants, he relaxed his stance.

“This conversation has been dragging on…wouldn’t you say, Lady Hua?”

Tenten’s eyebrows arched in concern but nodded. “R…right.”

Akaji chuckled and lifted his chin to the ANBU.  “For such a talented kunoichi, I am very surprised you have such a bodyguard…his chakra feels too aggressive for you, my dear.”

Tenten could almost imagine the look behind that mask. He had made himself known on purpose as a threat to Akaji. Dragging this conversation on further would cause some suspicion of her whereabouts sooner or later, she supposed. Especially since she had many people to mingle with while her aunt showed her off to everyone. 

“If you find me aggressive, then you really have no idea what you’re really in for.” the ANBU replied.

The weapons mistress held back a chuckle; he was referring to her own chakra. Tenten had spent years building her chakra and attempting to learn how to better control it. She was still a bit low on that end, but she had chakra that was comparable to Gai when he summoned his inner gates. 

“Before this turns into some bitch fight,” she finally spoke. “I will consider it. Now, I must return to the event.”

Akaji nodded, still amused and curious about the agent behind him. “I will be awaiting your call then.”

With a swift hand sign, Akaji figure disappeared into a pile of ash. The two shinobi stared at the remains for a moment. He is very talented with his clones, Tenten thought. Her gaze shifted to the ANBU.

Wiat stop omggg i’ve been reading these posts about the anti-Hinata Hyuga stuff and how she is infact privileged and ngl it lowkey hurt but also omfg???? I never realized how bad the Hyuga situation was or how Hinata is unable to pick a side, I just assumed she’d obviously dissolve the slavery practices because I see her as a good person(and i read too much fanfiction)

It's okay to like a problematic character and it's okay to like a ship, the problem starts when people justify such problematic characteristics to make them "acceptable", like justifying Neji's treatment at the hands of the Main Family because he was "mean" to Hinata, despite him warning her about fighting him and asking her to forfeit multiple times.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but Hinata chose a side. Ignoring the matter or not giving it the relevance that it has even after her cousin's speech during their match or his match vs. Naruto, is to actively support the system in place; she might truly believe that is for the "greater good," as so his Konoha's mantra, but it doesn't change the fact that she agrees with the practice.

I don't see her as a good person for the reasons mentioned above, no good person sees her uncle being tortured and her cousin being enslaved and believes to be the bigger victim in their dynamic. Furthermore, she did pretty much nothing for anyone who wasn't Naruto; being shy and quiet is not the same as being a good person; she never mentioned being kind-spirited and thus, unable to be a shinobi (like Chöji, which was a full small arc of his character when fighting the Sound Four), but rather, weak.

I understand your wish for Hiashi to die, but Neji succumbing to his fate put an end to the "Hyuga's conundrum" as that's an issue that involves Konoha in itself and not addressing it in Boruto would've been a major problem; furthermore, the problem wasn't just about stopping the Main Family from creating slaves but also them giving reparations to those they enslaved, like Neji. His death was also used to give Hinata a "moment" with Naruto.

She can't, not just because she's weak (Shikamaru doesn't shine because he's particularly strong, he isn't), but also because she often puts her wishes above the safety of those under her command (Koü Hyüga) and can't come up with a basic strategy to fight her opponents. She perhaps modeled her attack pattern following Naruto's (who mostly attacks before coming up with a strategy, as he often relies on overwhelming his enemies), as she often states to look up to him and has spied on him multiple times, but he's far more strong and has much more chakra (plus healing chakra) than her.

I'm not sure Jiraiya knew much about sealing techniques (we only see him erasing Orochimaru's seal), Minato learned from Kushina and not him. Tsunade is likely far more versed on the matter and she never even attempted to take Neji's seal off, so that's where the village stands on the matter.

Wedding to Save a Uchiha

Hinata lifted her skirts and ran up the stairs as sets of hands fiddled with her kimono. “I don’t think there is any helping it at this point.” She tried, but the branch members continued to try to straighten it beyond its capabilities. It was too big for her. She was shorter than her mother and thinner than she had been when she was married.

“This is ridiculous.” Neji came through the hall she had just had. “He can’t make you do this!”

“No one is making me, I agreed.” Hinata lifted her head, trying to stand tall with her decision, but her heart was rushing from the anxiety.

“You agreed? Why? You don’t even know who it is!” Neji demanded. “What would compel you to marry a stranger!”

“The Hokage would not ask if he didn’t think it was of the utmost importance.” Hinata felt her own voice start to go weak as his face turned red in fury.

“You’re doing this because HE asked you!” Neji shouted. “You are going to give yourself to a stranger to please the man that will be off limits to you with the very action.”

“I am aware!” Hinata snapped. “I am also late!” Her eyes filling with tears. “I trust that this is the best reason for both father and Naruto-sama to offer my hand to fix this problem.”

“Your father agreed to this!? Do you even know what the problem is?!” Neji growled.

“This will clear a man of his wrongful exile,” Hinata explained.

Neji wouldn’t have been given that information. “Are you sure he deserves it?”

“He’s convinced me,” Hinata assured him.

“And how has he done that? You don’t know who he is.” Neji repeated.

“He wrote, giving me the option to decline.” Hinata cast her eyes down to her hidden toes. The note was actually tucked into the folds of her kimono, keeping her from turning back.

“She is late already.” One of the branch members that was waiting so patiently despite the fact they were, in fact, in a rush. 

“You can’t.” Neji finally resigned to a low voice of pleading.

“I’ve already agreed.” Hinata allowed the woman to rush her through the door.

Hinata blinked at the man who was to be her husband. She understood now. She was guided into her seat. The ceremony was short. The kimonos were for show. A paper was signed, and then she just sat there quietly next to her new husband. 

Itachi Uchiha.

Naruto held her hand between his as he thanked her. “I hope you understand.”

Hinata nodded. Connecting Itachi to the Hyuga meant that he was less of a risk if he was under the power of the rival clan. Tying him to a wife made it seem more real.

“The Hyuga knew about the truth of the massacre,” Hinata assured him. 

“But you’re really okay with this?” Naruto asked. “I know it was a lot to ask.”

“You shouldn’t be trying to make me turn back on my wedding day,” Hinata smiled.

Naruto crinkled his nose. “Yeah. You look great.”

Hinata smiled. “Thank you.” And with that, he left her and let go of her hand, and with it, he took her heart. She stared at the closed door and sighed. She had to give it up at some point.

“You’re in love with him.” Hinata jumped as her new husband made himself known behind her.

Quiet and observant.

“Sorry?” Hinata asked. Maybe he would act like he didn’t say it.

Itachi nodded his head toward the closed door. “Why would you agree if you love him?”

And not one for reading the room.

Not the first conversation she wanted to have with her husband. “He’s not interested in me. This way, I am at least useful to him.” 

Itachi peered through her for a few seconds like he was reading her mind. He simply nodded.

I think I had an ItaHina phase where I thought of 101 ways for Itachi to come back to Konoha, but I never did any of them.

I think what stopped me was thinking of how to deal with Sasuke.

I am sure I could have figured it out, but better stories came up and these slowly got abandoned.

I saw this and agree and need to rant. Yes she's came to appreciate his strength and wants him to achieve his dream yet at the same time Naruto does anything Naruto she yells and acts like she's better than him and uses violence not just for comedy reasons. Someone said that Sakura just mothers Naruto which is not the case she just acts like that since she thinks she's better.

There were only just a few moments when Sakura's anger towards Naruto's actions was justified but her violent outbursts in reaction are not justified no matter the case. Like when Naruto made fun of Lee and Sakura just straight up punched him for doing that despite she did the same before.

She come to respect Naruto's strength like the villagers did but not Naruto as who he is. She is just like the other villagers. Which is why no one understands him and despite wanting to help him out they do so in the wrong ways or say wrong things to him. They see him as a hero or future Hokage so do things to help the hero they want him to be but not Naruto the person who he is.

Naruto didn't call villagers out for their bad mistreatment of himself so why would Naruto call Sakura's behavior out? Even during her confession when she said exactly what Naruto was afraid of that idea that people only like him because he's now a hero he didn't even call those words out he just told her not to lie about her feelings towards Sasuke.

Naruto and Sakura as best friends never works. Sakura as the smart mother hen never works. Because this is not who they are. She is like the rest of the villagers. Only difference is she was closer to Naruto in that they were on the same team and since Naruto is the main character he wants everyone to get along. There was never an indication where Sakura made correct observation about Naruto as a person. She always related his actions to herself whether it was about bringing Sasuke back or thinking Naruto would accept that very bad confession. At the end she respects his Hokage hero dream and that's it. She does not understand him and I don't know how Naruto puts up with it all.

i feel bad when people write me rants and i only reply “i agree” but… i totally agree! i’ve talked about naruto and sakura’s relationship many times before, and i surely mentioned that sakura is pretty much like any other konoha ninja, naruto basically has to prove himself and earn her respect, she does not see him as a person, even her fake confession is about sasuke being a criminal and naruto being a hero. and even among konoha people, naruto has better relationships with other characters like sai, shikamaru and neji, those characters have supported naruto more than sakura and there is also the fact that she resents him for being more capable than her and, of course, getting sasuke’s love and attention. i don’t know if sakura really believes she is better than naruto, she seems very aware that she can’t do much, but she is insecure, so she tries to compensate that, that’s why she brags a lot, but she ends up being all talking and no doing. i also agree with what you said about her violence, it’s nowhere near justified… she punches naruto because sai called ino beautiful like- and it wouldn’t make sense of naruto to call her out for her bullshit when he doesn’t hold anyone accountable for how they treated him… maybe that could be the case if kishimoto didn’t make him so repressed, but i understand why that was never written. again, i agree with everything you said.

Confessing Feelings

This is another long one so I’m putting it under the cut!! (Also please excuse the old art again)

So in my head Chihiro and Neji knew each other since their academy days, so they’ve been friends for a hot minute. As they get older they both kinda have those “??? Are we something more???” kind of feelings.

For Neji those feelings start to creep up after the Chunin Exams when Chihiro came in to check on him after talking with his uncle. She tells him that she was really worried about him, but she’s glad it ended well, and it makes his heart flutter a bit but doesn’t really understand what it means cuz??? Of course she’d be worried??? They’re friends??? And Chihiro is very loyal to her friends. So why does this feel different??? He decides to suppress it cuz… feelings are weird LMAO!

For Chihiro those feelings were way more sudden (poor thing). It happens when she hears about what happened during the Sasuke retrieval mission, and the serious injuries that Neji had and how he would have to go through the tedious surgery to recover (I can’t remember if it was that tedious but it really fucked my head up back in the day so).

She’s sitting next to his hospital bed, tears flowing down her face when her feelings start to hit her. she has the distinct thought of, “I can’t live without him.”

She starts to feel a bit confused about it, and as he recovers she thinks that those extreme feelings she felt were just a result from seeing her oldest friend in such a state and does her best to ignore what she felt.

(Side note that mission was what made her start to develop a bit of a grudge against Sasuke , but that’s a whole other can of worms.)

So through the years those feelings come and go, both of them doing their best to brush them off cuz what if the other one doesn’t like them that way??? (They both like each other they’re just dumb.)

Neji finds himself getting really mad and grumpy whenever he hears how Chihiro was talking to another guy because the elders in her clan want to make sure she’ll eventually get married and have an acceptable heir. And his brain kinda goes like:

“Why are you mad?? She’s the heir of her clan of course her family would want her to meet someone to marry???”

To: “I wanna… hold her hands…”

He doesn’t think he’s worthy enough to be in a relationship with the future head of such an old and proud clan (he is though he just has self esteem issues).

Chihiro has absolutely no interest in any of the men her elders try to match her up with. She only talks to them to get her elders off her back, but she always ends up turning them down. She knows it’s her duty to her clan, but she just can’t see herself with any of those guys???

So one day she’s hanging out with Tenten (they become friends after they both become genin) and she’s venting about all this to her, and Tenten is like, “Well, close your eyes and when you think about marriage and such, what kind of guy do you see??”

So she does that and guess who she sees??? It’s Neji!!!!

Chihiro: uh oh

Tenten asks her what she imagined cuz boy howdy Chihiro’s face is turning quite red, and she ends up turning away and quickly trying to change the subject.

Tenten: *smirks*

Tenten knows they like each other LMAO!

So on the next mission Tenten goes on with her team, she nonchalantly tells Neji that she was talking to Chihiro about those guys she has to go see and how much she wants nothing to do with them, and she sees Neji’s brow ease a bit for a moment. His attitude is suddenly a lot better on that mission.

Tenten: oh yeah, it’s all coming together.

Side note: Lee knows that they have feelings for each other but wants to be respectful towards them both so he doesn’t bring it up often. He sees how much it can pain them.

Ok so this part is so self indulgent it might be a bit too cringey but WHATEVER it makes about as much sense as what happens in canon SO I DON’T CARE!

So fast forwards to THAT Part tm

(Oh also I haven’t gotten this far in the actual show so details might be off because I honestly don’t want to even read about this I’m weak.)

Chihiro refuses to allow him to sacrifice himself. Like she’s frantic. Going a bit feral because why is he doing this?? Why can’t he see how important he is to her??? And that’s when she finally accepts her feelings towards him. And she has a moment of clarity as she pulls out a scroll with her family crest from her pocket.

So this scroll is essentially the Osaka clan’s trump card. In the past it’s only ever been used to protect the clan from wars and especially strong enemies and such.

The scroll can only be used by the head family, and it basically summons the founder of the clan, Omikami (she’s kinda a god/spiritual entity so that’s how this makes sense LMAO).

She merges herself with Chihiro, and it’s a massive power boost; nearly unlimited chakra, hundreds of years of battle experience and skills, etc., etc.

And she uses this power to pretty much shatter the threat (again haven’t gotten this far in Shippuden yet so I don’t know exact details I’m sorry) and/or ends up sealing it up in a huge sakura tree that will feed off whatever’s left of it until the end of time (this makes about as much sense as stuff that happens in canon and that’s my excuse).

Of course, that much power comes at a high cost. You don’t get nearly god like powers for free after all (unless you’re Naruto I guess but this ain’t about him).

Once she’s completely done with the fight, they separate again, and Chihiro is so weak she can barely stand. Neji runs up to her to help her, and he’s still so shaken he kinda yells at her for doing that. He feels a bit bad and apologizes to her, and he shakily asks why she would do such a thing, to use such ancient power for a mere branch member of the Hyuga clan.

She kinda laughs and whispers, “you’re the most important person to me. I’m… pretty sure I’m in love with you.”

He just kinda stares at her, not sure what to say. Everything and nothing are running through his head all at once. The only thing that’s clear is her, lying in his arms looking up at him with those blue eyes. She’s literally covered in dirt and blood but to him, in that moment, she’s the prettiest woman he’d ever seen.

Their moment is kinda ruined as Omikami approaches them in her wolf form. She doesn’t say anything but instead just kinda looks at Chihiro. She just kinda nods, and tries to stand on her own again. She has to give her payment for that power with her life, so her power and experience can be added the next time the scroll is used.

Neji is furious. She keeps trying to explain everything to him, but he’s not having it. She just told him something like that and now she has to die??

He grabs her wrist and yanks her away from the wolf, and he offers himself in her place; she’s too important! She’s her clan’s only heir! She has so much she has left to do!

Him offering himself pisses off Chihiro big time.

“I did this for YOU! For YOUR life! You can’t just throw it away like this!!”

Besides, Osaka blood is needed for the sealing to work; it’ll just fail without it and like… things will explode etc. etc. it’s not good.

He just huffs and grabs her hand as she reaches out to offer herself up. Their fingers intertwine, and if it wasn’t for the situation that they were in, it probably would’ve been calming. He looks right at the entity before them in the eye.

“You need a full human life for payment, right?” He asks, “then take half of mine and half of hers. Your payment would be satisfied, and she lives.”

Chihiro protests, saying that it can’t work like that, that what if they end up dead, what if it’s not enough, etc. etc.

And he tells her that if all else fails, he’ll fight for her, just like how she fought for him.

Omikami just kinda smiles, and she walks over and touches her nose onto both of their hands; she accepts those terms.

Next thing he knows Neji is waking up in an infirmary, and the first thing he asks the nurse is where Chihiro is and if she’s ok.

The nurse tells him that she’s still unconscious and hasn’t woken up yet.

They made him stay in the hospital to keep an eye on him, and a few days later Tenten and Lee run into his room and tell him that she’s finally woken up. He clambers out of his bed, the nurses telling at him not to move too quickly but he doesn’t care!! He asks Tenten and Lee to take him to her room.

They agree (obviously LOL), and Sakura is in her room with her, checking her vitals and keeps reassuring her that Neji is ok (they’re so dumb they both nearly died, and they just keep asking about the other).

He nearly breaks the door open (bruh it’s fine it’s not locked lol) and his breath hitches when he sees her; she still looks really tired, and a bit out of it. But her eyes meet him and she smiles weakly at him.

Even though there were three other people in the room, he decides to just break character and rushes to embrace her. he held her so close, but not too tight cuz he doesn’t want to hurt her. He feels himself choke up as tears start to flow down his face, but he doesn’t care; he’s just relieved that she’s still here with him.

He turns to her whispers, just so she can hear, how much he loves her too.

She slowly pulls her arms around him as well, and they kinda let each other just sink into each other. At that moment they both decide that they can’t live without the other.

And they’re 100% gonna fight the elders and get married cuz BOO HOO THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO THEY’RE GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT!

Naruto Reaction to you kissing one of their friends

A/N - hello! I just recently got my account taken off of explicit so I will be posting more! I was recently an only kpop reaction/writing blog which I’ll still write for them but I will be writing for different animes as well. So I’m going to start off with reactions for right now since I no longer have my laptop. I hope everyone enjoys this and feel free to request other reaction posts from me!

Naruto: Seeing you kiss him was something that easily changed his mood. Seeing you so close to his friend, it made his insides turn. He didn’t know why he felt like this, maybe it’s jealousy, maybe it’s the fact he wants to be the one kissing you instead of Gaara, but something in Naruto makes him avoid you from here on out. No more smiles at you when he passes you by in the village, no more inviting you out to eat whenever you got back from a mission, all he’ll give you is a cold shoulder because brushing you off and not seeing you is better than seeing you with his friend.

Sasuke: He scoffs out loud, he couldn’t help it, it might’ve slipped out and was a bit louder than he meant to but he still felt the same about it. You turn around facing away from Neji and raise an eyebrow at Sasuke.

“You don’t think anything will come from this do you?” Sasuke speaks before you can even question him. Your features soften after realizing what he’s said.

“What?”

“Don’t be stupid, love never works out for a shinobi, let alone when it’s between two of them. You’ll become distracted or dead.” His voice is harsh and his eyes are staring at you making you cower down. He huffs out a breath and walks past you and Neji who has stayed silent to this all. His words were harsh but he could never admit how he was feeling the moment he saw you kissing someone else.

Sai: Its easy not to show any emotion for him. No one ever knows what he’s thinking but that’s for the best, because seeing you and Kiba together did something to him that even Sai himself doesn’t understand. He doesn’t understand it, no, he can’t believe it. He can’t believe why you would want to kiss Kiba, you’ve never hinted at anything romantic towards him, you’ve always acted the same so why were you and Kiba kissing so casually as if it were normal? Sai’s mind was malfunctioning while he still had the same indifferent look on his face. Only he would deal with the thoughts that would fill his mind up, no one would ever know.

Shikamaru: Shikamaru never cared about much. He never cared about the useless relationships around the village because all that led to was drama and that was another headache he didn’t care to have. That was, until he saw you walking around with Lee. You were walking around with Rock mf Lee and Shikamaru couldn’t help but stop to watch you two. Nothing out of the ordinary until he sees you raise up on your tippy toes to quickly kiss Lee. Like some grade school kids you quickly walk the other direction while Lee sprints away with almost a gust of smoke following his heels. You not paying attention you run straight into Shikamaru.

“Oh! Sorry!” You look up and Shikamaru sees your cheeks are flushed and somehow he couldn’t help but find that annoying.

“So you and Lee? Really?” He looks down at you as you crane your neck up to meet his eyes. “You do know you could do better right?”

You look at him surprised. “What? Why would you-”

“I’m not bashing him, I’m just saying that I would be better.” He shrugs and walks off leaving you completely shocked in his response.

Choji: His mood would immediately change and it’s even worse because Choji wouldn’t be able to hide what was wrong to anyone. Just assume everyone around him could see a giant storm cloud following him around because that’s how obvious he would be. Right away, and I mean riiight away Ino, Shikamaru, and even random villagers would notice Choji’s change in demeanor. It’s not like he hated Sai, he just doesn’t understand why you of all people would like him. Sai was so out there, doesn’t seem to show any like or dislike towards anything or anyone other than his drawings he’d do. Then there was you, someone completely different and someone Choji really liked. Poor boy would be so sad for days on end.

Kiba: He stopped in his tracks once he saw his teammate kissing someone, he was more nosy than anything but once he saw who Shino was kissing Kiba just wished that he kept on walking. You looked behind his teammate and smiled at Kiba.

“Hi Kiba.” Your smile meets your eyes and Shino turns to nod at his friend. “What’re you doing?” You ask.

“Oh um…” he scratches the back of his head thinking. “I was going to get something to eat, did you guys-”

“Ooo! Let’s all get something to eat together!” You say excitedly while grabbing Shino’s hand. Shino just mumbles a ‘sure’ and you all make your way down.

Kiba smiles and walks beside you. The stinging in his chest still there but at the end of the day he can’t be selfish, he won’t be selfish, not when it comes to you and your happiness.

Shino: He never cared about you, you were just a simple shinobi who got brought along a few missions. He didn’t care about how happy you got once you perfected your jutsus’. He didn’t care about your life secrets whenever you let something slip about your past and the look on your face when you’d realize you said too much. He certainly didn’t care if you made it back alive from any solo missions and if you were a few days late from them either. At least, that’s what he’s going to say to himself whenever he sees you kissing Shikamaru goodbye every time you leave for your missions. Yeah, Shino totally doesn’t care about you at all.

Neji: He’s trying, he really is trying to think positively and for the best, but something about seeing you, the always cheerful and kind hearted girl with the likes of him, it just doesn’t sit well with Neji. He doesn’t know why or what caused you to be with Sasuke but Neji at the very least is trying to be happy for you. If you’re happy and being treated right by the sole Uchiha in the village Neji can at least make peace with that. At least that’s what he’s trying to convince himself ever since he saw you two together.

Rock Lee: It was out of the ordinary for him to feel this way, he would never say anything bad about his comrade, no never. He’d never say anything about you either, but his tongue moved faster than his brain could stop him and seeing your pained expression and the look his friend is giving him made Lee instantly regret the words that left his mouth.

“Wh-What did you just say?” You stumble on your words while Choji just sighs. You were always too nice, too forgiving. Lee didn’t deserve it, he knows that, Choji knows that, but you still didn’t.

Lee just shakes his head, mumbling an apology while walking away.

Gaara: He couldn’t help but frown, his face changing as he saw you and Naruto kissing, he wasn’t jealous, no he could never be jealous of his closest friend. He was happy for Naruto, but his emotions for himself were present and anyone could see it. He walks away and makes the long journey back to the Suna suddenly abandoning whatever reason he came to the leaf village in the first place

He tries switching to white clothes like the Hyuga

The Hyuga are confused at first until one day they see Sasuke glaring at their clan head (he has resting bitch face and zoned out) and they go oh shit

They are 100% convinced Sasuke is trying to get them all killed by Itachi via claiming them as family.

Hinata and Neji know this and start dragging Sasuke in areas with a lot of Hyuga where they start talking about shit that makes Sasuke zone out

Hinata was actually the first person to do it surprisingly enough (after many many assurances that that is in fact just his face and he doesn’t hate her) and it’s mostly by accident. They are helping each other train in the Hyuga compound because Hiashi clearly isn’t going to train her and their eyes are close enough to genetic cousins that they can kinda use the same tactics to strengthen them. Hiashi finds them and is lecturing Hinata about something or another when he slowly trails off looking more and more pale. Hinata can’t figure out why until she looks at Sasuke’s absolutely pissed face and realizes.

(Sasuke is more than willing to shoot Murder eyes at Hiashi. Hinata is… probably the closest thing to a friend he’s had since… ever really. She’s not loud or obsessed with him like his teammates and he understands what it’s like to be compared to a sibling he can never match up to.)

Neji comes later, after Hinata and Sasuke use the same tactic on him and asks if he can use Sasuke’s powers for more evil to fuck with the main line. The fact that Sasuke never gives murder eyes to the branch family is VERY CLEAR.

(I’d say this is a “no rogue Sasuke au” because I just really love the idea of him and Hinata being lowkey chaotic introvert besties.)

Naruto character stim headcanons

All Naruto characters are neurodivergent because I said so

•Kakashi

-masks very well

-tons of facial stims, hence the mask

-hand flaps alone or with people he trusts [gai, eventually the rest of team 7]

-rocks so much. Like he cannot stand still unless he’s on duty. Sways on the balls of his feet most of the time. Full body rocks when he’s alone

-goes nonverbal

•Naruto

-he cannot mask

-he also cannot stand still. He’s always bouncing or flapping or rocking

-never really noticed that he was doing it

-chronic leg bouncer and foot tapper

•Sakura

-masks well but doesn’t realize she’s masking

-hand flaps, cracks knuckles

-not many stims

-didn’t stim at all until kakashi and gai noticed she was masking and had a long talk with her about it

•Sasuke

-unnaturally stoic

-“hmphs” as a vocal stim

-doesn’t really need to mask as he doesn’t have many stims

-physically incapable of masking and honestly doesn’t care about it

-he stims freely; hand flaps and head shakes are his favorite

-Gai taught him what stimming was and now he doesn’t care about masking either

-they have a mutual understanding with each other since their stims are similar

I already gave out my big thoughts about the Final Performance arc of Suzu’s route in over a dozen different individual posts (sorry for spamming the Jack Jeanne tag 😞) so I won’t repeat myself too much on that.

Basically I am super duper wholeheartedly in love with Suzu’s route. It was incredibly well written, had great characterization of both Kisa and Suzu. I also think Suzu’s route flowed well from the common route, like a natural progression. I loved how the rest of Quartz was like on the route too, how supportive and loving they were. Once again, special shout-out to my boy Sou for being the funniest fucker during this arc. Boy really put the fear of God in poor Otori…Fumi and Kai were able to happily pass along their titles as Quartz’s Al Jeanne and Jack Ace to Kisa and Suzu with no regrets. Neji got to have fun with this last play and with how many references to the plays from over the year this one had, seems like he was feeling pretty sentimental. And Mitsuki really showed off how ready he is to be Quartz’s next leader, he knows his class so well! And yeah like I said before, Otori did end up growing on me, he’s such an entertaining gremlin!

Also all the people who tried saying Jack Jeanne isn’t romantic were definitely exaggerating. If you’re looking for spicy romantic contact or lots of physical affection, you probably won’t get it (at least that’s what I’m understanding after doing Suzu’s route). But to say it isn’t romantic at all??? LIES!!!! At the very least Suzu’s route is so incredibly deeply wonderfully romantic!!!!

I already mentioned this but Sissia of the Central Nation is my favorite of Quartz’s plays. Everything about it was beautiful, I felt like I was watching an anime, and like I said before if the developers wanna make a separate visual novel based on the play 👀👀👀👀👀 Though preferably with an ending that leans more towards the sweet side over the bittersweet (seriously you asshats you couldn’t wait for Sissia and Chance to get down first????)

The music was sheer perfection. Departure was a beautiful solo from Kisa, like no wonder Sissia was immediately picked to join Kielce. Kielce the Nation at the Center was without a doubt my favorite, it was such a catchy hype song for the circus troupe! Quartz Anima was a VERY close second, like it so narrowly missed out on being my favorite, it’s beautiful and has so many callbacks to Quartz’s past plays and I found out it also apparently references all the Quartz members’ names in the lyrics too!!! And Over the Wall was another gorgeous solo from Kisa!

The ending song, I think it’s called Where the Wind Blows, was absolutely beautiful and I loved that for me it was a duet between Kisa and Suzu 🥰🥰🥰

So yeah, Jack Jeanne is such a good game and deserves way more attention. I have only played the one route so far but I can confidently call it my favorite otome game and one of my favorite video games in general!

Before I get to the other routes I wanna take a break to play Radiant Tale! There’s another red haired genki sweetheart voiced by Yuma Uchida in that game but I can’t access his route until I woo all the other boys first 😡 So I need to get to work on that!!! When I come back to Jack Jeanne I likely won’t liveblog as extensively as I did Suzu’s route. I probably will give general thoughts at the end or make note of anything major.

Restless Days Chapter 1 Snippet

“Lee, you didn’t tell me you were changing it up for the first day.” Tenten awed. “I liked your long hair.”

Rock Lee hummed and shrugged. He wasn’t a fan of the long hair; it was too much in terms of management and he figured it would be a great way to start their new adventure together. They began walking down the street, their apartment building was conveniently only a twenty minute walk from their new school and like a stereotypical scene in an anime, it was beautiful outside. Tenten chuckled to herself at the thought. 

“So, how are my first years feeling now that you’re in big kid school?” Tenten’s older brother asked after a few minutes of walking.

“I am excited to begin this new adventure!” Rock Lee exclaimed. “I will join the track team, the MMA club, maybe even the karate club…”

Tenten grinned. “I’m going to try out for the cheer team.”

Rock Lee cocked a surprised eyebrow at her. “The cheer team? Why?”

“Well, I have been keeping up with my gymnastics over the years. And the Kendo club is cool and all, but I want something more…thrilling.”

Lee looked at her with confusion.

“She wants to be thrown in the air and tossed around.” Her brother clarified. 

The bowl cut teen gave a hum of understanding before smiling at her and offering her luck on her future tryouts. 

“Shin, how does it feel to be going into your third year?” Tenten looked at her older brother.

Shinten Hua thought to himself as they walked along. He wasn’t expecting anything exciting, he’d be applying for college overseas and would be spending most of his time hanging out with his friends. He wanted to make his last year as smooth as possible, without any headaches.

“I still can’t believe mom and dad said you could go to America for university.” Tenten groaned. “And you leave me here to deal with high school by myself!”

Shinten laughed and pinched at her cheek.

“Ow! Let go!”

“You gonna miss me, Ten?” He teased. “Aw, that’s cute. You’ll be fine without me though, you have Lee.”

The bunhead rubbed her now pink cheek and swatted at her older brother. The good thing was that he wouldn’t be around to embarrass her in front of her classmates. Not that he intended to, but he still treated her as if she was a child, and it was annoying. 

“Well, whatever happens this year, I’m sure it will be a great time. I have a friend I want to introduce you to Tenten. I think you two will get along.” Rock Lee said. “He was top of class in my middle school and I have no doubt he’d be in our class too.” 

The Hua teen shrugged, she was down for making more friends. She has heard of this guy before from Lee, he would talk about him a lot whenever they would study together for their middle school exams. Well, it was more that Lee would complain about how more good looking and how much smarter his friend was, and even proclaimed him to be a rival of some sort. Tenten went to a different middle school where she was keeping up with her mandarin language classes; but they had a lot of the same work. 

“Oh? A friend of yours?” Shinten ran a hand through his brown shaggy hair. “So, you’ll be starting your first year off as a trio. Very nice.”

Rock Lee and Tenten nodded. Yes, they thought. The three of them would make it through high school together.

Neji was awake before his alarm this morning. He spent the time meditating with tea in his hands. He had packed his bag the night before and his parents had sent him money to have his uniform pressed. The condo was quiet. Boxes still took up space by the front door as evidence of his parents moving out. Rather, they were leaving him here in Konoha City to finish his education while they went overseas to handle family business. His parents kept tabs on him as they traveled back and forth, taking more and more with them. They left him with the furniture and appliances, they really only took their belongings and computers. Everything else was left behind for Neji to use at his leisure. The new found silence was a bit difficult for him to get used to, to his surprise. He figured his parents not being around would offer a new found independence that he would prosper in. However, he found himself feeling a bit forlorn when we woke up to an empty house while his cousins stayed at the main estate with everyone else. Slowly, he was getting used to the silence. He sort of missed the light clanking of pots from his mother making breakfast and the low volume of the television as his father sat at the table to watch the news before heading downtown to the office. He didn’t have to worry about bills or rent, his parents paid for everything, and even left him an allowance. Neji was wise enough to save it in his bank account, and even take up a part time job tutoring so it seemed as though he was not just mooching off of his family’s fortune (for his own pride).

BZZT BZZT

Neji glanced at his phone as he slipped his shoes on. His younger cousin had wished him luck on his first day of high school. Sending a quick reply in gratitude, he took one last look at himself in the mirror by the door before leaving. The morning was bright, and he would be driven to school by the taxi service his uncle had provided for his daughters and Neji (as a favor to Hiazshi. Even though Neji was content with taking the bus). The black car was waiting outside the condo complex and his driver had the door open and waiting.

“Good morning, Master Neji.” 

Neji nodded in greeting before ducking into the back seat. The luxury car was clean and roomy as he sat in the back. This was a bit much for a public school student, he thought. He had refused to go to a private academy due to his name specifically; he didn’t want to be hounded by other rich-kids just because he belonged to one of the richest families in Konoha City. The goal was to keep a low profile, which would be a challenge. Once attendance is called, everyone will know that a Hyuga will be in their class.

“How annoying.” he mumbled to himself.

Friends were also out of the question. He wasn’t sure he wanted to go through the trouble of making friends who potentially only wanted to talk to him for his family’s money. There was one kid in particular that he did become friendly with. He could tolerate him, though sometimes he was a bit loud and his energy could be very…exaggerated. And yet, he was kind to Neji and never brought up his family or money. They were going to be in the same class, and hopefully he will have a quiet three years. His phone buzzed again in his pocket.

Hey! See you in class, my friend. I have someone I would love for you to meet! - Rock Lee

The Hyuga cocked an eyebrow and sent a standard reply. This other person was probably the friend that he was talking about in middle school. The girl who was in his building that he was friends with since childhood. He hoped she was nothing like Lee, Neji doesn’t think he could take two spontaneous balls of energy. He sat back and plugged his ears with his ear buds. The rest of the ride to school was...

Death of a fictional character: How one characters death can ruin an entire franchise. Pt 3 final

Neji x Sakura x RockLee

Next his good friend Rock Lee. As I said before I don’t watch the show but it is such a huge franchise you can’t escape hearing news about each character. Rock Lee my man I knew he was powerful but this is another level of incredible! Really the show should have been about him and I think the writer knew that as he gave us the amazing Rock Lee and his Ninja pals show.

Rock lee is so incredible he has even inspired UFC fighter Israel Adesenya with his amazing ninja pose. When Israel was fighting Anderson Silva instead of the traditional UFC pose of just crossing your arms to intimidate your opponent he did the rock lee stance, and it became one of his signature moves! Amazing.

You probably guessed by now Rock Lee along with Neji are my favorite characters so Hearing about how Lee reacted to Nejis death just broke my heart my sweet baby Lee and Neji I will always love them!

Now you’re probably asking how Neji living could have changed Lee. I truly believe it is his relationship with Sakura. Now it’s not like Neji would have said “ to go get her pal”but more of a butterfly effect. Neji would have married Hinata changed the clan, Naruto would have been more open to help Sasuke in his journey to healing, Sakura may have had her own eyes open to letting go of Sasuke and discover self healing as well and in this I truly believe Rock Lee, you guessed it, would be inspired to just . . . Well go for it. Or maybe Neji living would have inspired Sakura. She would have seen Naruto encouraging Sasuke in some way and may have realized to give Lee a chance. It’s possible yes she could have ended up with Naruto. But why? I believe she would have ended up with Rock Lee

We can all agree that Sakuras marriage is a complete disaster. It’s so bad I heard the creator even considered divorcing the characters but if I’m being honest it feels as if they already are. Their marriage is a confusing mess that is full of toxic love and excuses for poor behavior. I truly am curious why the creator did it. Discussing with other online fans (ichodai)

. . .There is a feeling of detachment in this family, and it's sad to see Sakura so quiet and hungry for her husband's attention...

So true! Beginning of the show we can understand why she likes him but after 720 episodes the love no longer makes sense. Their relationship grew more and more complicated when Sakura decided to kill him. We could have gotten to see that as both a final act of true love but also a breaking of freedom. She could be saying you no longer have any more power over me seeing how he was just consumed by revenge, an evil not even she could help him with. He didn't even hold back in trying to kill her.

Nothing says I love you then trying to literally rip your heart out😑

And yet after Naruto saved her she was magically somehow still in love with Sasuke, which was extremely unrealistic and toxic.

Not to mention a back track for Sakura to become stronger as a Ninja warrior and a women.

With Lee there could have been true Love, Healing, and Appreciation. Not to mention their child would have been the strongest character in Boruto. As someone said on a discussion forum “ a Taijutsu Master combined with Sakura’s Medical Nin and the Forehead Seal… a complete monster!!! Amazing!!!”

You know what I take back what I said about not knowing why the author did have Sakura end up with Sasuke . . . So he could have their daughter end up with Boruto, basically make another manga. Another great and really only reason why Neji should have lived.
