Words are spoken, steps slowing until they both come to a halt - and Marc blinks again, turns his head to face that doctor next to him, looking into those brighter eyes that appear so much more human here, at this very moment.
Less professional, more casual. Harrow's words are as well - talking about having been at the wrong place at the wrong time, mentioning a border town, talks about Marc being... strong.
Is he? In his own humble (self-hating) opinion, Marc is everything but strong - just... kept pushing on, kept functioning, kept taking step after step and day after day, month after month, year after year. Kept doing so because he had to, because there was no other way for him to do this - to handle his life, his existence, everything he'd gone through.
... Without Steven, he probably wouldn't be here anymore. If it weren't for this man to exist, to live a happy, normal life, to allow Marc to see that it still exists somewhere - that, despite all the pain, all the horrible things that have happened, there's still something good out there... A soul that wants to live, that wants to reach something in this shitty life and make the best of it.
Marc isn't alone, that's what kept him from ending it all. Steven had been there for him ever since... ever since Randall had died in that cave. Had helped him to live, had protected him without even knowing that Marc exists in the first place.
So... does that make him strong, all of this? Isn't that actually making him a failure, useless, as he wouldn't be able to keep existing like this if it weren't for that other one living inside his head?
---Harrow doesn't know about Steven, so he cannot take him into consideration. Perhaps his opinion were different if he only knew...
A swallow, a dark gaze that finally falls away from the doctor's eyes - bloody lips pressing together, brows furrowing, something rather emotional and sad appearing there beneath all the crimson, the pulsing of his nose and temple, the taste of iron. The very same lips part then again, because Marc cannot breathe otherwise - he blinks a few times, glances to the side, his messy hands fumbling with the hem of his shirt - messing it up even further in the process, fingers leaving streaks of red behind...
It is all your fault!
"...Perhaps I'm just stubborn." A statement - just that, really. "Not strong, just... just stubborn."
Another slow blink, with Marc turning his head away completely. It's so hard to... accept this, the words the other has offered him here. They feel good, but at the same time, there's just so much shit still sticking to Marc - shit that keeps pulling on him, a lot of guilt, so much guilt and fault and things he fucked up...
It is all your fault!
Randall died because of him. His comrade died because of him.
"... ---Stubborn and guilty."
... He begins to take a few steps again. Doesn't know where he's supposed to go, but... following that damn hallway sounds good enough for now. He's slow as he moves, but he just... he just needs to move, feels too vulnerable otherwise. Too... too seen, if that makes sense at all.
He wants to be seen, and yet he doesn't want to be seen at the same time. Fucking bullshit that is.
"...---I'm sorry 'bout that border town thing." Randomly mentioned, but he means it. "It's awful. Been there many times." ... "You know, a plant or would look nice in here."
Arthur didn’t interrupt, again finding comfort in the fact that Marc was willing to speak to him. There was something human in it, something raw and untouchable; it was trust. A trust that had been built quickly, that Arthur respected - one that he didn’t want to harm in any way.
Marc’s statement, saying that he was so scared, pushed something deeper. Arthur’s expression broke, his eyebrows pinching harder, his mouth softening. He exhaled gently, nodding once more; his hand almost touched Marc, but he chose against it.
“I would have been scared, too,” he agreed. “Anyone would have.” He couldn’t even begin to imagine how it would have been, to be in that situation. To wake up with no memory, with nothing but the evidence of what had happened; in such a gruesome way, too. That event alone was more than enough to cause trauma in all of the worst forms.
“You asked me once if I’d ever been in the field,” Arthur offered. “I wasn’t a soldier, I couldn’t handle those sorts of things. But I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time.”
He offered Marc a glance, a smile, though not much more. “I was in a border town. Dangerous place to be, I’m sure you know. It was over in a day, but… I didn’t handle it well. Not for a long time.”
His cane continued to tap as he walked, though his pace had slowed some as his focus switched to their conversation. “But you… you lived through that fear every day. You got up, and you kept moving. That’s not weakness. That’s more strength than most people in this building have. More than I have, certainly.”
He stopped just a moment, enough to hopefully get Marc to stop as well. He looked the man directly in the eyes, his blue ones just as gentle as the rest of him. “You are one of the strongest men I’ve ever met, Marc. Not because of the fights, or the training, or the uniform - but because I think that this is the first time in your life that it’s truly overwhelmed you.”
He watched Marc’s face, just for a second, looking over him. Taking in how he looked, how he seemed unbothered even by having blood all over his face, possibly a snapped nose; he’d had the shit beaten out of him, and yet he was still standing here, talking as if it didn’t matter.
“Being overwhelmed after everything that you’ve been through doesn’t make you wrong or bad. Breaking down doesn’t make you weak. You’ve carried more than anyone ever could - what happened was because of that. And none of that - none of it - was your fault. This would have happened to anyone.”
It would get better, not that Marc would believe it if Arthur told him. But it would get better slowly; the pain would fade, Marc would remember life without the memory of this dragging him down. All he needed was time and healing.

I think I need John darnielle to stop making music so specifically applicable to my life. that's a lie I never want it to stop but it can be a lot to be deal with when you've got "what will I do when I don't have you, when I finally get what I deserve?" and "I don't know why I'm so persuaded that, if I think things through, long enough and hard enough, I'll somehow get to you" and "now you see me, now you don't, now you say you love me, pretty soon you wont" and "I don't mean it when I tell you that I don't love you anymore" and "I am this great unstable mass of blood and foam and no one in her mind would make my home her home" and "lord send me a mechanic, if I'm not beyond repair" and "I am healthy, I am whole, but I have poor impulse control. and I want to go home, but I am home" and "there will goodbyes by the dozens, so practice being brave" and "god bless all my old friends, and God bless me, too; why pretend?" and "hold my hopes underwater, stand there and watch them drown" and "the most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway is that it's you, and thar you're standing in the doorway" and "sad and angry, can't learn how to behave; still won't know how in the darkness of the grave" and "friends who don't have a clue, well meaning teachers. but down in your arms, in your arms, I am a wild creature" and "locking eyes, holding hands: twin high-maintenance machines" and "lean in close to my little record player on the floor— so this is what the volume knob is for" and "but one of these days I'm gonna wriggle up on dry land" and "I'm gonna get my perfect body back someday. if not by faith, then by the sword, I'm going to be restored" and "headed somewhere better if I have to crawl there on all fours. say your prayers to whomever you call out to in the night. keep the chains tight. make it through this year if it kills us outright" and "come on in, we haven't slept for weeks. drink some of this, it'll put color in your cheeks" and "I will bloom, here in my room, with a little water and a little bit of sunlight, and a little bit if tender mercy, tender mercy" and "stay till you can breathe like normal people do; I've got room in my house for you" and "no town more barren than our town, no haven safer than the one they tore down, no greater love than to lay my life down for a friend, no sweeter pleasure than to see the credits clear through to the end" and "save yourselves, save this town. save everything not nailed down" and "buzzing razor held aloft and just about to strike. I loved you before I even ever knew what love was like" and "and I feel guilty but I can't feel ashamed" and "break the lock on my own garden gate when I get home after dark" and "blood calls to blood as the hours draw down. invent my own family if it comes to that. hold them close, hold them near, tell them no one's ever going to hurt them here" and "and it was hard but you were brave, you are splendid" and "try, try your whole life to be righteous and be good; wind up on your own floor, choking on blood" and "and some days I don't miss my family, and some days I do. and some days I think I'd feel better if i tried harder, most days I know it's not true" and "and the world, in its cold way, started coming alive" and "I saw the mess you left up in the east bedroom: a tiger's never gonna change its stripes I guess, I guess, but Jesus, what a mess" and "set the table, those three extra places: one for me, one for your doubts, one for god" and "you've done something awful— I've done something worse" and and and a

Today I had some news, thoughts and complex feelings to process. I am glad I managed to work through it with some art. I am posting this for everyone who might feel guilty for not feeling sad enough when similar news reached them. It's ok. Just because someone is part of the family doesn't mean we have to love them.
There are many many reasons why I disliked this Grandmother of mine. She was cold, she was rude and inconsiderate, always demanding to be serviced. I only remember seeing her happy once - when she had a dozen people to command around for her birthday. She was all the things I never want to be.
I named this "Talking to the inner beast" when I worked on it today. I intented to actually draw a beast, all teeth and many eyes. But it turned into a crow by itself and now I feel more like this is my way of sending her and all my grievances with her off into the darkness of the night.
After finishing the last page till now I have finally managed to properly cry my heart out. All that is left to do for now is to tell her once more: Farewell, Grandma. I hope you find peace. I truly do.

#NO SLEEP OF THE INNOCENT. NOT FOR YOU: character study.#the concept of having a complicated relationship with one's sibling.#because ryuuji was the second born and thus the responsibility of taking care of him was given to misao most of the time she found herself-#being jealous of him sometimes. and misao felt very guilty because of this but she just wanted to be a kid for a moment. so sometimes she-#would imagine that she was ryu instead of herself and their roles were reversed because misao would just get so overwhelmed with things-#that this was the only way she could cope with it at times. which is sad in every sense of the word but misao knew that it wasn't ryu's-#fault at all that thing's were this way. it wasn't anyone's fault really but it was so much easier to place the blame on him subconsciously#sometimes because the alternative was blaming herself for not being strong enough to be both a caretaker and a child at the same time.#and that was perhaps even harder for her to think about because misao has always strived to be perfect. and i mean this in everything-#she does. she wants to be the 'perfect psychotherapist' the 'perfect lover' the 'perfect friend' and it is a LOT of pressure to be honest-#to be putting on yourself especially when you are not fully equipped to open yourself up to people about how you are struggling because-#you've dealt with things on your own all your life. but yeah. misao might've felt resentment towards ryuuji even though it was misplaced-#though she also felt a great deal of platonic love towards him and even if the whole world were against him then she'd still be on his side#but misao has been out of contact with him for the longest time and doesn't even know if he is alive anymore. and she is kind of scared-#to inquire someone to find out for her like a private investigator or something. because i think misao would not be able to take both her-#mom and her half-brother dying because at the end of the day ryuuji is her last remaining family member. and he understood her-#in ways that even she couldn't understand herself.

I can’t believe people assign Kaveh the yandere trope sometimes like that is SO ooc he literally wouldn’t ?! I mean I personally don’t care if he is or isn’t but canonically speaking bro let his own mother whom he loved so dearly to leave FOR HER SAKE even though he was so hurt by her going … he would not trap somebody like he would probably end up killing himself from guilt like are you serious 😭
#dora daily#☹️#pls why am I making myself so sad in the early morning …#I joke abt me being yandere for him but omg yall i would notttttt 😭#we’re both of too weak of a character to impose ourselves onto someone#the moment I feel like I’m not liked enough no matter if this person is an extra organ to me idc I’m distancing for their sake#this is why it annoys me when ppl say Kaveh would do this Kaveh would do that#HE WOULDNT ?!! like you need to know his personality SUPER well and usually the way to be that knowledgeable is by experiencing it first han#hand* like istg not to sound weird BUT NOBODY GETS HIM LIKE I DO 😭 it’s almost disturbing how similar we are like srsly#from the thesis between him and alhaitham to the fallouts to the all consuming guilt and shame ALL THE TIME#I always feel guilty like at a certain point the fact I existed made me sick with guilt and shame#there’s actually sooo many more similarities that are way more intricate rather than these generic details#my mum would hate his gutsssss btw icl she would be one of those prolific Kaveh haters#honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if she was one of those ppl who say he has stds ….#like ik how my mum would react to him bc she reacts that way to me she mocks me for how I think of other ppl before myself 🫠#not that I think I’m great not at all I promise nobody hates me more than I do myself ☠️#but yeah#POINT IS : kaveh isn’t a yandere and never would be#ty for coming to my ted talk#all these fics abt him killing ur best friend or him locking you imprisoning you in the house#Etc etc … NAH if I wanted somebody like my mum I could literally stay under my mums care forever#but if you wanna know idc if he hypothetically snapped and became a yandere and started acting like my mum ? 🙈 ID HAPPILY OBLIGE !!!#like idm technically being stuck here in this house as much anymore and having everything monitored for me#bc I’m just so miserable abt this condition that I’ve accepted it#at least I’d have him with me 😆👍#perfect victim forreal 😭 LMAO SORRY I’m just coping with how sick / neg this life of mine is ☠️

Tumblr media
slumping down onto his bed, a drunk leon kennedy, sat back.
a small groan left his lips as nausea swirled around inside his stomach, he didn’t have food in his system, and his stomach was full of whiskey.
aerial shoot, his favorite.
but, fuck. he overdid it, throughout the whole evening he had been nursing a new bottle of the bitter whiskey, drinking it down like it was water, not caring about the way it burned his throat. by now it was empty, the drug seeping into his system like a blanket, making his body feel hot.
slipping down onto his bed, leon stared blankly at the roof, the room was dark and quiet.
he wasn’t tired, he was drunk, but not tired. another groan came from him, his large calloused hand moving to his face. he rubbed his forehead, trying to ease the throbbing sensation in his head. he had always been tolerant of alcohol, but tonight his body couldn’t take it anymore. he thanked a higher being for not being insanely nauseous, he wasn’t in the mood to spew up the alcohol.
he let out a deep breath before he reached out and grabbed his phone.
hitting the power button, his eyes shut immediately as the blinding light of his phone hit his eyes. “jesus, fuck—“ he grunted, quickly turning down the brightness.
looking at the screen, he wasn’t surprised when he was met with an empty inbox. no texts, no calls, no emails.
a sigh left his lips, the reminder of his loneliness brought a heavy weight inside his chest. looking to his side, there was an empty spot next to him, the bed was cold.
he was lonely.
despite what he tried to tell himself, he craves romance, he craves stability. the idea of living a happy married life was something he dreamed about when he was younger, before 1998, before he became what he is now. now he scoffs at romance because deep down, he knows no one would want to be with an alcoholic old man. his prime is gone a distant memory. he feels like a shell of himself, he doesn’t have much to live for now.
the cycle of self-hatred and self-loathing was part of his daily routine, at night, he gets lost in his thoughts.
he can’t go a day sober, it would kill him. at least that’s what he thinks.
the memories of the people he had lost haunt him, no matter how much time passes, the vacant space he has in his heart doesn’t go away. no matter what he does to try and get rid of it.
the dating scene wasn’t for him, not anymore, not at this age.
he could go and pay for hookers and prostitutes to fulfill his sexual needs, but it was never enough. the pleasure was temporary.
he wasn’t happy.
leon hasn’t been happy in a long time, so long in fact, he doesn’t remember how it feels.
his gaze focused on his phone, he wanted to stop thinking. he needed to forget everything, his grief, his anger, his loneliness. that’s why he relied on alcohol, but tonight he didn’t want to drink himself to sleep.
so, that left him with one more option.
opening the internet on his phone, his dull eyes focused as his fingers typed.
pornhub.com
this was pathetic, leon thought to himself. he was pathetic, and he knew that, but that didn’t stop him from pressing on the top link.
his thumb tapped against the glass screen, entering the website.
he was quickly met with the thumbnails of various sexual acts. from girls with a cock shoved down their throats, to girls getting folded while a man is on top of them. leon was uninterested.
he never liked porn videos made with high production, it was fake, unappealing. the bright lighting, the obnoxious moaning, and the stupid faces the girls make. it was ick worthy, leon always preferred amateur porn. it was charming when a video was poorly produced, with bad quality, and crooked angles. he liked that over other porn videos.
opening the search bar, he typed the word amateur. after clicking search, he scrolled down various videos before he found one that caught his attention.
it was a masturbation video, the title wasn’t crazy either.
college girl masturbates solo :)
it was cute, the little smiley face felt so out of place on a site like this, but it piqued his curiosity. in the thumbnail your hands were between your thighs, and the position of your phone was up — like you were taking a selfie. he didn’t see much of your face, by the angle he could only see your soft lips as you bit your bottom lip. you were wearing a cute set of lingerie, too.
there was something so cute about you, from the cutesy title and your pretty lingerie, his curiosity lead him to click on the video.
the video loaded and the first thing he saw was your breasts as you adjusted the camera down. you were holding it yourself, the camera facing you. as the camera moved down, he saw your hands slipping down to your panties.
he couldn’t see your face, seems like you were shy.
he watched with anticipation as your fingers pressed against your clothed cunt, rubbing slow gentle circles on your clit. turning up the volume of his phone, he heard the way your breath hitched. he could see as your tummy moved up and down with every breath you took.
leon’s stomach tightened as blood began to rush to his cock, his hand moving to palm against his pants as he got hard.
after a minute of teasing, you put the phone down against your bed, leon heard fabric shuffling. after a few seconds, you grabbed the phone again. the angle stayed the same, but now he could see your pretty pussy.
it was slick, glistening.
his mouth went dry as he took in the sight, your manicured fingers gently pressed against your perky clit, your touch was light, and you were savoring the pleasure.
leon heard a soft moan leave your lips, his hips squirmed as he grabbed his cock through the fabric of his pants. his hand moving to slowly grope himself.
he continued to watch with eager eyes, his hand moving to unbutton his jeans and unzip his pants. eagerly, he slipped his hand under his underwear, his hand pulling his cock out.
it was standing tall, pre-cum leaking from the slit.
he shuddered, he hasn’t been this hard in what felt like forever. he genuinely thought he lost his spark, he was in his late thirties after all.
his hand wrapped around his cock, a shaky breath left his lips as he squeezed it. his cock was thick, it wasn’t the biggest there was, but it would leave girls dumbfucked. or well, it used to. he hasn’t gone that hard in a while.
his cock was pretty, his tip was reddish, veins adorned it. the ones that made the girls mushy and whimpery.
the mental image of the girls he’s shoved his cock into filled his head. truthfully, he doesn’t really remember faces, but he remembers how they reacted. their bodies trembling and loud moans.
oh, how he missed it.
as he stared at your pretty pussy, all he could think about was shoving his cock deep inside you. have you whimpering and gasping his name as he kept you folded.
his cock twitched, fuck.
you were getting him so hard, he didn’t even think it was possible given his track record in the last few years. biting the inside of his cheek, he let out a breath, he was this hard over a girl on a porn website, but he couldn’t get this hard when he was balls deep inside a hooker’s cunt. god, this was pathetic.
pathetic, pathetic, pathetic..
you’re pathetic leon.
even as the words repeated in his head, his hand was still working on his cock, jerking and tugging on his shaft. his eyebrows were furrowed and his lips parted slightly, keeping his gaze on you, he watched as you rubbed your clit faster.
he could hear your small shaky moans, you were close and so was he.
his balls were tightening, his breathing was heavy, small pants leaving his lips as he rubbed his cock raw. chasing for a high he hasn’t felt in years.
a choked groan left his lips as he came, cum spurting out of his tip in amounts he hasn’t had since he was in his twenties. his cum was milky and thick. he continued to gently jerk his cock as he rode out his orgasm, another groan leaving his lips as his head leaned back.
his eyes fluttered shut as he felt his cock softening in his hands.
holy fuck.
his mind was fuzzy, he had almost forgotten about his phone until he heard a moan come from it. he moved his gaze towards the screen and watched as your hand stayed between your thighs before they slammed shut and you began to ride out your orgasm.
leon watched with eager eyes as you rode out your high nicely.
he squirmed and let go of his flaccid cock, his cum staining his hand, his stomach, and his pants.
he moved his hands and they gripped his phone again, he tapped on your username and watched your profile. your profile picture was a shy picture of your chest, a different set of lingerie holding your tits up.
looking at your bio, he shuddered as he read your information.
your name was pretty, it suited you. he saw your age listed, twenty-one, he just had the cum of his life to a video of a twenty-one-year-old? a feeling came to him, he didn’t know how to feel. staring at his screen, his mind still processing that information, should he be disgusted? guilty? ashamed?
he sucked in a breath and gulped.
him, a man in his late thirties, almost forty, just came to a video of a twenty-one year old girl.
it felt wrong, right? she was almost two decades younger than him, when the racoon city incident happened you weren’t even born yet. this had to be wrong.
but it wasn’t, and he knew that.
sure, the gap was questionable, but it was legal. yet, he felt so..wrong.
the worst part was that even after he realized this, he still watched your other videos.
Tumblr media
choked moans left your glossy lips, your eyes shut and eyebrows furrowed up in pleasure. your mouth was slightly agape, forming an ‘o’ shape. leon’s cock slamming down into your cunt, his hand was placed on the small for your back as he held your upper body down and kept your ass up.
he let out small pants, his eyes shutting in bliss.
your walls were warm and snug, sucking his cock back inside your cunt with a wet squelch. you were so wet, your cunt practically drooling. it was driving him mad.
his free hand was gripping your ass, holding onto the fat like his life depended on it, his dull nails digging into your skin. he let out a guttural groan as he felt your pussy tighten around him, squeezing, milking him. he didn’t have the self control he had back then, he was edging himself to try and last longer.
it was hard, his balls were heavy with cum, cum he wanted to stuff deep inside you.
his eyes shut tightly, he bit down onto his bottom lip, his thrusts got sloppily — fuck, fuck, fuck. “s-shit—“ he choked out, his head leaned back as a whimper slipped past his lips. his cock throbbed no matter how hard he tried to stop himself, his cum spurted out of his tip.
he shook as it spurted in waves, his eyes fluttered open and he panted. “sorry—“ he said, feeling bad for not letting you cum first and filling you up without any form of protection. you hummed in reply, your ass still in the air as he pulled out. his cock getting softer, his lidded gaze watched as his cum slipped out of your puffy pussy, falling in glops onto his sheets.
he felt hot as he watched it, he was about to say something when—
his eyes opened and a shaky breath left his lips, it took a moment for him to adjust to his surroundings. quickly sitting up on his bed, leon was met with the saddening realization he was alone.
you weren’t sleeping next to him, his bed was cold.
not only that, but his pants were wet. he pulled the blanket off his body and groaned when he realized he had cum inside his pants. rubbing his forehead, he slipped off his bed groggily.
it was still dark out, his bedroom was completely dark aside from the natural light of the moon that entered through his windows.
leon hastily took his pants and underwear off, throwing them across the room to where he thought his laundry basket was. he walked to his cabinets and dug into his underwear drawer before he put them on, stumbling a bit before he finished.
running his hands through his hair, he stalked over to his bed and laid down.
reaching out for his nightstand, he grabbed his phone, this time he was mindful of the brightness so he adverted his eyes and quickly lowered it before staring at the screen.
no new messages, he frowned, except an email. it was an advertisement.
he scrolled through his apps and found one, the one you’re most active on.
instagram.
leon was rather clueless about social media, but the only reason he had it was to stalk your account. he opened the app and saw that you had uploaded a new story. he quickly tapped on the bubble and watched through your posts.
you were out that night, you took photos and various videos of the night. wearing a little black dress, your tits were practically spilling out, one wrong move and your panties would be exposed. you looked beautiful though, he adjusted himself in his bed and stared at the picture you captioned ‘fit check! :D.’ he couldn’t get over how cute your little captions were, it was humorous. a cute little emoticon at the end of a text while the picture behind it was you in the sluttiest outfit you could find.
biting the inside of his cheek, leon took a screenshot of the story and continued to scroll by your posts.
you looked so happy, so pretty. leon loved the way you smiled, all teeth, it all seemed so genuine. you were with your friends in the videos, giggling and dancing along to whatever song the club was blasting.
after he finished going through your story, he clicked on your account, no new posts. a deep sigh left his lips as he put his phone back on his nightstand and turned to his side. pulling the blankets up, it didn’t take long for him to fall asleep once more.
Tumblr media
leon wasn’t sick.
he wasn’t a bad man, he wasn’t a freak, he was just lonely.
he was lonely and desperate, that’s what he told himself. he had this lingering guilt that manifested in the back of his head, you’re a sick man, leon. that’s what it repeated, every night, while he re-watched your videos and looked through the photos he had saved, it spoke.
sick. you are sick.
leon swore he wasn’t, he was just a broken man. one that found solace in you.
the age gap was eating him up inside, he had never thought of himself as someone who would find girls in their twenties attractive. yet, where he was.
he didn’t want to imagine what people would say if they found out he jerked off nightly to the thought of you. not just your videos, but the thought of you. he found himself daydreaming about you, not just in sexual situations, but romantic ones.
at the store he finds himself looking at the flower display, thinking about getting you flowers, trying to guess what flowers you would like the most. in public, when he saw couples, a bitter swirl churned in his stomach. jealousy, he was jealous that he couldn’t do the same with you.
this was developing into more of a followership, it was slowly seeping into the realm of obsession. delusion was his best friend.
occasionally, you participated in live streams.
it was cute, you were more talkative there, and you interacted with your followers happily. he was a quiet supporter, he didn’t use the chat room. you were too intimidating, he didn’t want to say something that could make you uncomfortable. he mostly gave you gifts, sending in money for you, he didn’t say much when he donated. occasionally he would type a small message for you to read with each donation, but it was rare.
that didn’t matter though. being able to hear you say his name, albeit his username, made him happy.
in these live streams, he’s been able to learn a lot about you. he knows you’re a college student, he knows you’re studying literature, he knows you’re a good student, he knows your favorite food, your favorite animal, how you like to spend your time, and much more.
he knows more about you than the people he knows in his life.
tonight, you had scheduled a livestream. posting about it on your instagram story.
‘i’m gonna be live tonight at 8 p.m. come by to talk, and i have a surprise too! >_<’ leon was curious, a surprise? so, of course he entered the stream after you started it. he needed to know what you were planning, maybe he could be part of it.
you sat in front of your camera and greeted all of the people coming in.
leon stared at you, you were so pretty, he thought. god, he felt like a teenage boy.
get a fucking grip.
your eyes focused on the screen where the chat box was opened, he watched as your eyes lit up, “welcome back, kennedy!” you said, looking back at the camera. looking straight at him.
his mouth went dry when you addressed him.
he clicked on the chat box, looking through to see if there was another kennedy, he didn’t want to jump straight to conclusions and embarrass himself. but there was no one else with the display like that.
SKENNEDY001
okay, he wasn’t very good at making usernames. he stared at his screen, unsure of what to do. you addressed him, should he say hi back? he’s never spoken in the chat room before. what if this went wrong?
slowly tapping on the keyboard, he replied with a simple. ‘hello, how are you?’ — best he plays it safe, right? his face feels hot, and he feels embarrassed. he’s always been more of a silent admirer, honestly, he never expected you to actually notice him. all sorts of different thoughts filled his head, from negative to positive. what would people think, what would you think if you found out that the biggest reason you’re paying your bills was because of some man in his late thirties who watches your content like it’s the news.
but what if you were into that? he’s heard stories about girls thinking older men were attractive, were you that type?
“i’ve been good!” you replied, snapping him out of his flood of thoughts. “i’ve seen you around, i think you might be my biggest fan.” you winked.
leon’s heart was practically beating out of his chest, he knew you meant it like a compliment, but it felt like you were pointing out how much of a lonely loser he is. “i just wanted to say thank you, your donations really help.” you said with a smile, that same pretty smile that drove him crazy, the smile he adored.
he didn’t know what to say, if he wanted to, he could write a detailed essay about you and how much he admires obsesses over you.
‘you’re welcome.. i like to support you.’ he typed back, after hitting send, he squirmed. did that sound weird? staring at your face intensely as you read through the chat, you let out a small laugh. “thank you, kennedy.” you replied, looking back at the camera. seeing how full the stream was getting, he decided that this was the end of the conversation.
his chest felt fuzzy, a feeling he hadn’t had in years, a feeling he had completely forgotten about.
he was obsessed with you.
the stream continued smoothly, you teased the camera, showing off your body and tempting the men, like him, who watched. by now he needed to rub one out during your streams, who would he be if he didn’t?
the stream was coming to a close, but before you spoke. “oh! the surprise from earlier, i almost forgot.” you said with a small laugh as you leaned back against your chair.
“basically, i was thinking, why not have a little contest.” you said, smirking at the camera. “imagine this is an auction,” you said, “the highest bidder gets to have a private, on one, video call with me.” you said, looking at your camera. “who knows, maybe that call can lead to something else.” you hummed, winking at the camera as you slid your hand down your chest.
leon blinked, a call with you? it was a dream come true. the only thing this lonely man could ask for.
you continued on, opening a gift box for anyone who wanted to get a chance with you.
he ignored how this could lead to poor financial decisions, he needed that call. he needed you for himself, he needed you to address him — to talk to him, he needed your attention like a lost puppy.
the gift period was only open for about fifteen minutes, first come first serve type of thing.
luckily, unlike the other people in the stream, he’s a government agent. with that title comes money, so as a way to secure that call, he sent you thousands.
he watched as you read the screen, your eyes widening as you saw the notification come in that you had received a few thousand dollars from your shy admirer. “holy shit.” you gasped, “okay— we have a winner! we have skennedy001 that donated over a thousand dollars!” you said, stammering as surprise filled your bones. “i’m closing the bid, that’s way too much money!” you said, giggling as you shut the bid off.
the people in the chat were going crazy, some were taking the loss like losers while the others congratulated the mystery man.
not too long after the stream ended, leon shut his phone off and stared at it. a deep breath left his lips, he didn’t know what to expect after being called the winner, but when he got a notification someone had messaged him through the streaming app, he opened it.
what he didn’t expect was to have a message from you in his inbox.
‘hey, kennedy! omg, that donation was insane! i didn’t expect that much money, please let me give you some money back! i really don’t deserve that much!! :,,)) you’re so sweet, and i appreciate it sososo much!!’
leon stared at the screen, double-checking that it was really you that had contacted me, his face got hot, did he overdo it? was that too desperate? oh, definitely it was, but still.
running his fingers through his hair, he began to type back, trying to brainstorm what to say, but after a solid five minutes of debating his options, he finally replied.
‘hello, i’m glad you appreciated it, but no. it’s okay, you can keep all of it. that’s the reason i donated it. spoil yourself.’
he typed back, his icy blue eyes hyper focused on the screen, he watched as in the span of a few seconds a small text bubble popped up as three dots bounced around. you were replying.
‘aww! are you sure? like, a 100% sure? i’m just making sure!! i just don’t wanna feel like i’m stealing from you, or something LOL!’
your text was cute, lighthearted, and warm, you were so considerate. he liked that, and his thumbs began to type out a reply.
‘no, no. it’s okay, really. just enjoy yourself.’
he replied he was trying his best to not seem uninterested. he has been told many times before that he was very “dry texter” — he had been told how uninterested he sounded with his texting habits and how it could make someone want to stop replying, and he didn’t want that. he just wasn’t sure what to say.
‘omg i am so grateful for your kindness! i’ve seen you in my streams a lot, i have honestly wondered about you. i’m glad you won the bid, tbh i wanted you to win LOL it gave me a reason to talk to you!’
oh my god. leon’s eyes widened slightly at your text, you were bold, is this how it feels like to get butterflies? he blinked, how was he supposed to reply? he’s never texted a girl in her twenties, what do girls like? what will keep you interested?
‘oh, yeah?’ he replied, reverting back to his usual dry texts, but you were lively, you knew how to keep the conversation going.
the conversation was sweet and lengthy, you ended up suggesting you move to your instagram messages so she could talk to him more often.
leon’s heart was practically going to explode out of his chest, he was giddy yet nervous. you had told him that you guys could arrange the video call for the next day at night after you finish some college work.
he was stressed, leon wasn’t sure what to expect. he’s seen your pretty face, but you haven’t seen his. his instagram profile is of an old landscape photo he took a while back, what if the camera isn’t flattering for him? he did warn you that he was in his late thirties? he didn’t want you to get your hopes up for a younger man. maybe he should just keep his camera off.
nonetheless, that night, he went to sleep happier than he has been in a while.
≻ the next day, leon was practically counting down the hours, the minutes, the seconds, until he got to see you. in the morning, he had been excited — the people around him noted his giddy attitude, but when asked why, he didn’t say anything.
he couldn’t expose himself.
but as the clock ticked and the hours passed by, leon found himself much more nervous than he’s ever been. he doesn’t want to fuck this up, in his delusion. he thinks that if this goes well, maybe, just maybe, this could evolve to something more.
you were so sweet to him last night, but the more he thinks about it, perhaps it was flattery.
he hadn’t thought about it now, this might just be all an act. something to keep him wrapped around your pinky finger, but he decided to push those thoughts down so he wouldn’t spoil his night.
once he reached his place, leon was angsty, the sun was slowly going down. the sky was a beautiful mix of warm colors: orange, red, and yellow. he could also see a hint of blue mixed in as the night sky began to slowly settle.
entering his apartment, he slipped inside the door and shut it behind him. locking it, a person could never be too safe, right?
he kicked off his shoes and slipped off his jacket, he haphazardly threw his jacket on his sofa before he made his way over to his room. he plopped down onto his bed and slipped his phone and flask out of his back pocket. opening the flask, he raised the metal container up to his lips and took in a quick shot of whiskey.
he couldn’t go into this sober.
letting the flask rest on his lap, he opened his phone and opened instagram. he looked at the messages he had with you. oh, he forgot to reply to your last message a few hours ago. he pursed his lips, fuck he feels bad, leon wasn’t an avid texter, so it was easy for him to forget.
‘sorry for the late reply, i was working.’ he hit send before he could register how “dry” that sounded, he quickly scrambled to text a bit more, so he didn’t seem too boring. ‘i’m nervous for the call.’
why would he say that?
leon shut his eyes, he was really bad at this.
after a few minutes of leon anxiously waiting for your reply, a ping came from his phone. quickly looking down at the screen, he saw that you replied.
‘aww, don’t be nervous! i don’t bite, unless you want me to ;)’
he let out a breath at your words, it felt like you always knew what to say, the number of times you’ve said something sly during the conversation that had his chest fuzzy must be over ten in the span of twenty-four hours.
leon started to type back, but he stopped mid-sentence. he wasn’t sure what to say, he was fumbling over his words, and no sentence he tried to type up made sense.
he saw your text bubble pop up, you were typing.
‘what? did i make you nervous? ;p’ — yes, yes you did.
he felt like he was in his early twenties, stumbling and stammering when a pretty girl gave him attention. jesus, has it really been that long since he’s felt something like this? god, that’s so sad.
leon ran his fingers through his hair, pushing his dark hair back, ‘yes, i don’t know how to behave when a pretty girl is talking to me.’ now it was your turn to blush, leon leaned against his headboard as he stared at his phone.
‘ohhh? is mr. kennedy getting bold? ;)) i’m excited for the call, just give me one more hour ♡’
‘take your time.’
Tumblr media
during that hour, leon decided to try and freshen up, at least a bit. he knew he wasn’t going to turn on his camera, but maybe getting refreshed would make him feel more confident in himself.
he changed out of his work clothes and took a quick shower, he slipped on some comfortable sweatpants and a black compression shirt that he typically used when he was working out. as he looked at himself in the mirror, he noticed the eye bags that hung under his eyes and the stubble that covered his cheeks and chin.
moving his hand up to his face, he ran his fingers through his stubble and sighed as he felt the facial hair scratching his skin. should he have shaved this morning? he didn’t know, he hadn’t been bare-faced in a few years now, as he aged the clean look he used to have didn’t fit him anymore.
reaching over for his flask that he had left on the bathroom counter, leon quickly took another swing of his flask and then sighed as he put it back on his counter.
he was so fucking nervous and for what? he’s been face to face with death before, he’s encouraged over thousands of zombies in his lifetime and yet he’s so nervous at the idea of talking to you.
feeling his phone buzz in his pocket, leon scrambled to take it out before looking down at his screen. it was you.
‘okay! i’m ready, are you? ;)’ — no, he doesn’t think he’ll ever be, but he replied, ‘yes. how does this work?’ he replied, unsure of what you were planning.
he watched as the text bubble popped up from your end as you typed again, ‘its suuuper easy! i’ll set up a voice chat and send you the link, then i’ll turn my camera on so you can see me!’ biting his bottom lip, leon moved out of the bathroom and sat down in his bed, his back resting against the headboard as he stared down at his phone.
‘okay, i’ll wait for you.’ he replied as he tried to relax, letting out a deep sigh, leon shut his eyes for a few seconds before he felt his phone buzz again.
looking back at the screen, you had sent him a link.
‘here it is! ;)’ the text said, his thumb hovered over the screen as he bit the inside of his cheek and hesitated before quickly tapping the link. the link opened up another website, the same one you use for streams. it took a few seconds for it to load, but he could tell his camera was off and his mic was muted.
okay, good.
eventually, the screen loaded and he saw you, you were wearing a cute tank top of a band, he’s seen the band name around before. it was popular back in the early 2000s, you didn’t have any sexy clothes on, it was actually cute. it made you feel even more real.
“hi!” you said as you waved at the camera, “let me know if the camera and audio are working properly, sometimes the app gives me issues,” you said with a smile as you stared at your screen. leon went to open the chat box, but he realized that if he wanted to make the most out of this call, talking to you would better.
taking in a deep breath, he cleared his throat and unmuted his microphone. “..it works,” he said, his face feeling hot as he spoke.
leon had always been rather charming and talkative in real life, so why was he so shy? it wasn’t anything like him, did his loneliness really ruin him? your eyes lit up when you heard his voice, surprised he spoke.
he watched as a smile curled on your lips, “i’m glad!” you said, leaning in closer, giving leon a full view of your cleavage, he noticed a black lace bra underneath your shirt. tilting your head to the side, you hummed, “soo..how was your day?” you asked curiously as you stared up at the camera with a small smirk. leon hated how quick it was for him to feel pressure growing in his pants when it came to you.
why was it so easy to get hard for you?
“it was good..you?” he asked softly, his hand slipping down his body to grip his cock through his pants. your smirk turned into a smile, “my day was good too! thank you for asking,” you hummed, “so, what do you want to do?” you asked, leaning back against your chair as you moved your hand to hold your tit, squeezing the mound playfully. “it’s just you and me, no need to be shy.” you winked.
leon squirmed in his bed, “..i don’t know actually,” he muttered, “i never got to decide how i wanted to approach this.” he said, squeezing his bulge and sighing. “..i wanted to just talk and get you know you more, but..” he trailed off, unsure if he should tell you that his cock was hard at the mere sight of you.
you seemed to get the hint when you heard the shaky breath that left his lips, “got too excited, didn’t you?” you teased, biting your bottom lip as you batted your eyelashes to the camera. “it’s okay, let me help you.” you offered, that pretty smirk of yours coming back to your lips.
leon’s eyebrows furrowed as he felt his cock throb inside his pants.
“..a-are you sure? i don’t want to ruin the call.” leon murmured, his voice uneven as he tried to resist the urge to slip his hand under his pants' waistband.
a small laugh left your lips as you shook your head, “of course not,” she said playfully, “you won this call, you get to choose whatever we do.” you said, “what’s your name?” you asked, moving to press your arms together to have them push up your tits.
leon let out a sigh and watched with a hazy look in his eyes as you pressed your chest together. “it’s leon.” he replied quickly, now eager to have you say his name.
humming, you smiled, “okay, leon. should i take off my shirt? i have a new pair of lingerie just for you.” that whole sentence could’ve made leon cum right there without any friction. the way you said his name, it was smooth, like honey. you were hot and you knew it, “y-yes, please.” leon mumbled out pathetically as he stared at his screen intensely.
you nodded and reached down for the bottom of your shirt, slowly pulling it up and discarding your shirt to the corner of your room. once your shirt was removed, leon got an eye full of your tits being held up by the new lingerie, it was a push up bra. your tits were rounded and plush, the black lace that surrounded the fabric was real pretty.
“do you like it?” you asked softly as you adjusted your bra strap, leon gulped and shuddered. “yeah, it’s pretty..it suits you.” leon said, you were so fucking hot. he wanted to jack off and cum right there, but that would just show how much of a pathetic man he is.
you only took off your shirt and leon came? embarrassing.
so, he edged himself. deciding to play it safe with palming himself through his pants. his hand moving slowly to not get too eager and fuck it up.
“you think so?” you mused, looking at the camera as your hands moved to squeeze your tits and push them closer. fondling yourself for his pleasure.
leon groaned and nodded, he knew his camera was off and that you couldn’t see it, but he couldn’t help it. “mhm, black suits you.” he said, shifting in his bed to adjust his position. “want me to take it off?” you asked curiously, looking at the camera with an amused smile. “i think my tits are pretty, it would only be fair for you to see.” you teased as you squeezed your mounds.
leon’s throat felt dry, he felt parched.
“yes,” leon shuddered out, looking down at the screen. you laughed and stood up, you adjusted your camera for it to catch your body as you stood. leon saw you were only wearing some cute little panties that brought out your ass.
turning around, your back faced the camera before you moved your hair out of the way and moved your hands to the clasps of your bra.
you were quick to unclip your bra and take it off, throwing it off to the side, to a place the camera can’t pick up. by where you threw your shirt, leon assumed. your movements were always so smooth, hypnotic almost. leon was convinced you were perfect, made with no flaws.
turning around, you held your tits up in your hands before you stepped closer and let your mounds drop. leon got a screen full of tits, you let out a laugh and moved your body in a slow sway, your tits moving around as you did so. “like ‘em?” you mused playfully before reaching up and squeezing your nipple.
leon’s head leaned back as a small groan left his lips, his hand moving down to grip his dick through his pants. “yes, fuck.” leon said with a pant.
you moved back from the camera and sat down onto your chair before adjusting the camera stand so leon could see you better.
“are you jerking off?” you asked, smirking at the lens, leon let out a small whine. “no, n-not yet.” he mumbled, his voice straining as he tried to sound level headed, but of course it didn’t work given how he stuttered. leon cursed at himself mentally, he sounds like a fucking pussy right now.
you let out a small laugh at his stutters, “what? you don’t wanna jerk off to me? you’re hurting my feelings.” you said softly as she tilted your head, leon’s eyes widened. oh shit, no, that’s not what he wanted to do.
“wait, shit—“ he tried to explain, “i didn’t mean it like that..i just want to savor the moment.” he said, shutting his eyes in embarrassment.
you smiled, “yeah? why not savor it while jerking off? i have my tits out just for you.” you teased, pouting as you did so. leon paused, you were right, your tits were out and you were willing to do anything for him and he was just edging himself?
a small groan left his lips, “yeah..okay.” he mumbled, his hand slipping under the waistband of his pants before he gripped his cock. his large hand wrapped around his shaft, his cock throbbing again due to the pressure, leon put his phone down and used his other hand to shimmy his pants down. once the waistband was wrapped around his knees, leon leaned back against the headboard and sighed as he gripped his dick.
reaching out for his phone, leon fumbled with it with one hand before finding the right position to hold it. unbeknownst to him, while he fumbled with the phone, he had pressed against the camera button.
his camera turned on and he had no idea.
you, on the other hand, were met with the sight of the mystery man that had been supporting you the most.
he was hot.
like really fucking hot, your interest on this man peaked after you saw his pretty face. he was resting his phone on his thigh was he held it up, you could see the stubble on his face, his dark black hair. he was older than you expected, but if anything it added to the appeal.
this man seemed to be seasoned, he was staring down at his phone with his eyebrows furrowed as a small sigh of bliss left his lips. he was jerking his cock, you noticed by the way his body moved, there was an arm that wasn’t getting picked up by the camera that worked on rubbing his cock raw.
you noticed how his icy blue eyes focused on you, staring at the screen of his phone with a lovesick look on his face.
he looked so pathetically hot, it wasn’t something you thought you’d find attractive, but seeing how desperate this older man was for you made you unbelievably horny. you squirmed in your seat before your hand slipped down, you moved and slipped your hand under the fabric of your panties. letting out a sigh, you felt your middle finger gently toy your clit.
“leon?” you mused, leaning your head back and spreading your legs for the camera to pick up how your hand was shoved under your panties. you reached over to your desk and grabbed a dildo, showing it to him. “wanna watch?” you offered, moving the silicone cock in a playful manner.
leon’s eyes widened in surprise, but nodded.
he gulped and you watched as his adam’s apple bopped up with the swallow.
leon watched as you slipped off your panties and grabbed a bottle of lube. you quickly coated your pretty pussy and dildo with the thick cream and leaned back once more.
your pussy was on full display as you pressed the tip of the dildo against your puffy folds. “ready?” you asked softly as you bit your bottom lip.
this whole scene that was unfolding in front of leon felt like it was going to kill him. he’s seen your pussy before, he’s seen you fuck yourself before, but there was something different this time. it was all dedicated to him.
only him.
“yes,” he shuddered as he gripped his cock tightly, you smiled at him and slowly slipped the dildo inside of you. a soft sigh left your lips as your warm pussy sucked in the silicone, leon watched eagerly. like a kid in a candy store, he would kill to be the one inside you.
your squirmed and rolled your hips against the dildo, looking into the camera as your free hand moved to grip your tit. “oh, leon.” you moaned out, smirking as you watched your screen to see his reaction. “you feel so good..” you teased.
leon’s eyes widened when he heard you moan out his name, were you pretending it was him fucking you? did you want to send his heart into cardiac arrest?
this cock throbbed against his hand, begging for attention, pleading for leon to let it cum.
leon’s balls were heavy with cum, it was unbearable to keep teasing, but he couldn’t help it.
a small whine left leon’s lips as he slowly stroked his cock, watching as you fucked yourself with your dildo. “you think so?” leon replied back, his face felt hot as he spoke, he’s never done dirty talk through the phone. he was embarrassed, was he doing it right?
you nodded, smiling hazily at the camera, “mhm..” you trailed off as a small gasp left your lips, the dildo focused on fucking your pussy. your eyes fluttered shut as you savored the filling feeling of your dildo, the silicone ridges and fake veins pressing and molding your walls. your pace was steady, your head leaning to the side as you continued.
leon was getting the perfect view of your pretty face and your stuffed cunt. he could hear the soft squelches coming from your cunt as it sucked the dildo back inside eagerly. he watched as your pussy glistened with slick, his body aching, he wanted to be there with you. he wanted to feel you.
but the world was cruel towards leon, and all he could do is watch and pretend he was the one fucking you.
“you’re so big.” you babbled softly, watching your computer screen, watching his reaction. he shuddered and trembled, moving on his cock slowly.
leon shut his eyes and grunted, his head leaning back desperately as his body ached. he occasionally looked back at the screen, looking at you with such admiration behind his gaze. like he was admiring a beautiful painting.
he was so cute.
“y-yeah,” he groaned, his body feeling hot, it was overwhelming. he felt the thinnest sheet of sweat coat his body, a swirling feeling coming to his lower tummy, it felt like a tight pressure. “—am i making you feel good?” he whispered out, his eyes shutting as his hand continued to jerk his cock.
each jerk felt like a rush of electricity went through his veins, an electric shockwave whose only purpose was to bring pleasure.
you moved your hand down and gently began to toy with your clit, pressing on the puffy bud as you fucked yourself. “no one has ever made me feel like this, leon.” you teased, moaning out his name softly. it was like music to his ears.
he couldn’t take it anymore, he physically couldn’t hold back, he should’ve gotten a cock ring to try and make him last longer.
“m’gonna cum, i’m sorry—“ he babbled, feeling bad for cumming so fast, he just didn’t have the self control he used to have on his prime. his hand began to jerk his cock in a fast, sloppy pace. his chest was rising and falling rather quickly, unable to catch his breath as he chased his orgasm.
leon moved his phone, he kept it by his lap, but by the position you could see his aching cock.
“it’s okay, baby.” you mumbled out, watching as he neared his orgasm. his dick was pretty, the size was okay, the thickness was there, and his tip was bright red. his hand gripped his shaft, he had pretty hands. large and masculine, you even saw an expensive watch wrapped around his wrist. you knew he had money, how else would he be sending you such high donations, but something in your stomach fluttered when you noticed.
you continued to fuck your dildo into your pussy, trying to match his sloppy pace. “cum for me.” you hummed, your tone playful and laced with lust.
this was so hot.
leon shuddered and moaned, his hand continued to rub his cock raw, he clenched his jaw and shut his eyes tightly as he focused on cumming.
the pressure in his lower belly was so tight, but after a couple of more harsh jerks, the tight knot inside his stomach burst. his balls strained and tightened as cum began to spurt out of his tip. it was thick and milky, staining leon’s stomach and hand.
while he came, leon’s body trembled, his toes curled, and his back arched slightly as a loud moan left his lips. he didn’t mean to moan out like that, but with the circumstances he couldn’t help it. this was pure bliss, his body felt lighter and his head felt fuzzy. he continued to slowly stroke his cock as it throbbed, he rode out his orgasm, his cum still spewing out of his cock for a few more seconds before his body relaxed.
leon shuddered as his cock began to go soft in his hand, he grimaced as he looked at the cum that stained his hand before wiping it off against his sweats.
panting, leon looked back at his phone, his face was red and his whole body was hot.
“shit, i’m sorry, i wanted to wait for you.” leon said breathlessly, you shut your eyes and continued to toy with your clit as you shook your head. “don’t apologize, it was really hot.” you moaned out, fluttering your eyes open as you looked at the monitor, eyeing him up as he laid back panting.
your clit was puffy and slick, aching for more.
rolling your hips up, your hands continue to work against your cunt, making your legs twitch and tremble. putting on a show for the lonely man in front of you.
biting the inside of his cheek, leon watched desperately, if he was younger he probably would’ve gotten hard again as he watched, but his cock didn’t have enough strength to stand. it didn’t matter, now leon could finally appreciate you, your pretty face, your pretty body, and your pretty pussy.
he loved the faces you made, they were so genuine.
if he was fucking you, would you be making those faces too? god he hoped so.
by now, a specific heat blossomed by your clit as your finger toyed with it. your touch was gentle and light, it felt like your clit was burning in the hottest way as the nerves went on overdrive.
“fuck, fuck, fuck—“ you whined, your voice strained as you focused on breaking the tight knot inside your lower tummy.
leon shuddered, seeing the way your eyebrows furrowed as you bit your bottom lip, you were so cute. leon wanted to say something, but it was like his brain was a blank slate. he couldn’t think, he couldn’t speak, he just watched as your glistening pussy throb.
it didn’t take long for the knot to snap, and once it did, your body jolted as a loud whine of his name left your lips. your thighs clamped together while your hand stayed pressed between your legs, the silicone cock was nestled nicely inside you, warm and sticky.
your body trembled as you panted, your head leaning back against the seat as you regained your thoughts.
god.
leon has seen you cum various times before, sure, but there’s something so different about it here. it was mind boggling and his head felt dizzy, a shiver going down his spine.
this was all a private show, all of this was only for him. no one else was as lucky as he was, he felt like he was getting spoiled.
watching you unravel and cry out his name had leon’s brain oozing, he felt demented, like his brain had melted and he was left as a zombie. he could tilt his head over right now and watch as his melted brain would come spilling out.
metaphorically, of course.
you reveled in the afterglow of your climax, your pussy felt like it was pulsating and throbbing. slowly, your hazy gaze focused back on the screen and you locked eyes with leon.
he let out a breath as he looked at you, it felt like you were really looking into his eyes.
he still had no idea his camera was on and you could see how enamored he looked.
slowly, with a long, soft squelch, you pulled the dildo out of your sticky pussy. you moved the silicone up to your lips and leaned in closer to the camera before you licked off the slick that coated the toy.
your tongue moved slowly, and occasionally you would glance at the camera, making eye contact with him as you cleaned up your dildo and the only thing that ran through leon’s head as he watched was: i wish that was me.
squirming, leon felt like his mouth was salivating at the sight.
eventually, you finished licking off your dildo before you placed a gentle kiss on its head before you put it away, hidden away from what the camera could pick up. “liked that?” you mused, tilting your head to the side with a cute little smile. it was almost funny how cute you looked after you fucked yourself in front of him.
“yeah.” leon said quickly, gulping back saliva as he looked at you so dearly, “um,” he began, clearing his throat awkwardly, “..is it okay to talk more? if you have the time.” leon mumbled, because deep down, he still wanted to talk to you — to carry a conversation with you, to try and charm you.
looking at the time displayed on your monitor, you hummed, drawing it out to tease him slightly. after a few seconds that felt like an eternity for leon, you looked back at the camera and nodded. “of course, i have time.” you said, winking at the camera before you stood up and slipped your panties on. you left the chair for a second before you picked up your band shirt off the floor and slipped it on.
plopping back down on the chair, you smiled and looked back at the camera.
“so, tell me more about you, leon.”
≻ the call ended not too long ago, leon rested his phone down on his bed as he let out a sigh and rubbed his forehead. his chest felt fuzzy and he felt giddy.
the two of you had spoke for a few hours and now that the call ended, leon yearned to hear your voice again.
he felt silly like this, but he couldn’t help it.
he missed your voice, your face, the way you moved your hands when you spoke, the small gestures you made when you talked about something you were passionate about.
he missed you.
reaching over for his flask, leon quickly popped it open and took another long swig. swallowing back his beloved whiskey like he was a dehydrated man drinking water, throughout the call, he hadn’t drank to try and not get drunk and ruin the moment. but now that the call ended and he had time, leon was happily swallowing back the whiskey.
hearing his phone buzz against his bed sheets, he reached out for it quickly, a swirl of excitement coming to him as he saw it was you that texted.
it was two attachments, a photo of your perky tits and another one of your computer screen — that’s where he saw it. he was on the screen.
the photo you had taken was when he had his phone down, getting a good angle of his side profile from the bottom. for the eyes of someone else, it was a good picture and he looked good. his hair was messy in just the right way, his adam’s apple was on display and given the fact his phone was down, the picture also captured his waist, chest, and shoulders. showing off his body underneath the shirt he wore.
it was a good photo, but leon’s heart dropped to the floor when he saw it.
had his camera been on the whole time? is that why there was a small red dot next to his selfie camera? clicking out of the photos, he read your text nervously, but after reading it, his face flushed.
taking back another swing of his flask, he shuddered.
‘you looked really good today ;)) wanna call again tomorrow? <3’

7th Headless Haunting: The Invisible Woman
A ghost's appearance can change over time depending on the emotional connection to their former lives. This change is involuntary and inconsistent. For some, their form shifts to mirror the cause of their death, or emphasizes some other lasting trauma. Others shift into a metaphorical representation of how they view themselves. But most just look like their living forms until time makes the details slip away. Because if there's no one left to remember them properly, and they can't really remember themselves, that can trigger a disconnection from their physical past. This disconnect causes the "sheet ghost" effect, as the soul loses the shape of its previous container.
It's a sad thing, catching a glimpse of a soul losing their face. But that's part of the cycle of life and death. Everything changes. Everything fades.
Sometimes that fading is even done on purpose.
Morgan doesn't call herself Morgan anymore because she doesn't want to metaphysically dox herself.
Through the efforts of the most annoying woman she's ever met, she's become one of the most famous ghosts in the south. She did not ask for this, she does not want it, and every day she wonders how she could have possibly been charmed into a barely 3 week relationship by someone she had to politely ask to stop making tictoks in the crystal shop constantly. It was easy to blame grief and depression for the drastic lowering of standards but still. Good lord.
She realized her mistake pretty quickly, but then "Luna's" roommate supposedly kicked her out with no warning and a sick cat named Quartz. And past!Morgan, who vividly remembered how much being homeless sucked, didn't want her out on the street.
(Okay, mostly she didn't want Quartz out on the street. He was goofy and sweet and the knowledge that she liked him way more than her new girlfriend made her feel guilty.)
This was a mistake.
She opened her home to them. Payed for emergency cat surgery. Dealt with arguments over filming in the house and random strangers coming over for "guided group spiritual exploration" sessions that she wasn't allowed to be in the room for because Luna was "working". Scrubbed Luna's essential oil covered bare ass marks off of her kitchen counters. And in return, she got this woman inviting something into her home.
One night while Luna was out with friends, it came into Morgan's bedroom and left her head on the other side of the house.
She never figured out exactly what got her, but the dark twisted shape made sure to find her terrified spirit before it left, and she could feel its irritation as it inspected her. She wasn't the right target. Luna owed a dept that she probably didn't even comprehend to something very pissed off.
All this would have been bad enough, but none of it was really worth being a ghost about. She'd had worse relationships, and since grandma was gone, almost all of her loved ones were dead anyway, so she really should have left.
But what about Quartz?
She was the one handling all of his post operative care, and after watching Luna forget time after time to feed him or give him his meds or even really pay attention to him when he wasn't serving as a cuddly toy to cry on or an aesthetic set piece for videos, she decided to hang around until he was either stable or dead.
Which is how she found out about the haunted house tours.
Luna had been doing this for a while. It seems that every place she had ever lived was "haunted" and she made sure that the internet knew about all the trials and tribulations of being so spiritually gifted in a world filled with such trauma laden souls. She'd been kicked out of her last place for having a pretend spectral affair with her former roommate's dead best friend, and when she moved it didn't take a day for her to "sense something..." and start secretly profiting off of made up shit about Morgan's grandmother.
But now that Morgan was dead she had a goldmine on her hands. The gory, violent, locked room mystery death of a fairly attractive woman wearing nothing but a low cut night gown was already pretty good, but add in the lesbian romance, Morgan's family history, and the fact that Luna's True Love had recently Saved her from an Abusive Environment and Certain Homelessness? Well, that's money baby.
Morgan's friends, bless 'em, had stopped Luna from livestreaming the funeral, and got as many pictures of her body taken down as they could.
Sadly, the fundraiser to purchase her family home for "spiritual conservation" was successful.
She had no idea that her following was that big.
She really should have checked.
Anyway.
Because of Luna she's spent the last 8 years being stalked by the living. Strangers pay to sleep in her bed and record the ambient noises of her room hoping she'll show up and talk to them. They buy books made of private poetry stolen from her journals. They demonize her dead family members and speculate on horrific abuse that didn't happen because "if you pay attention to how she dressed/read between the lines in her writing, there are clues she had serious daddy issues".
Recently, there was a shitty romance novel published based on her death, implying that whatever killed her was simply mad with lust and wanted to make her his dark bride in hell.
Yes "his". Her proxy was straight in that one.
And way slimmer.
That's a reoccurring thing that she tries not to think about too hard.
But the point is that all this mess keeps her from moving on. She just... can't. She spends all her time trying to sabotage Luna's grift as best she can. She exposes all the little tricks Luna uses during her seances to show she's not talking to anyone. She actively keeps other spirits away from the house just in case any of the ghost hunting gear people haul into her living room actually works (it doesn't but better safe that sorry). She never speaks just in case a recording picks something up and she's thrown away chunks of identifying features like her face and most of her tattoos so that if she is spotted, she's harder to identify.
She's spent years staging the most intensive anti-haunting she possibly can.
Quartz died 6 months ago and walked right past the entrance to the rainbow bridge to settle in her lap, just like old times. He tries to lead her away from the house a lot. Into the sunrise, towards her grandma's loud bright laughter and the bustling sounds of a family reunion in full swing.
She wants to follow him so badly.
She just.
Can't.

WRONG HOUSE! — G. SATORU
Tumblr media
Even after months of being broken up, Satoru Gojo still isn’t over you. Luck is on his side when he catches you in his kitchen just after you had hooked up with his roommate.
lowkey my first time writing smut so it’s probably awful but bear with me guys
cw: ex-boyfriend Gojo, language, alcohol use, might be ooc, one-night (and afternoon?) stand, smut, fingering, p in v, unprotected, cream pie (without permission)
wc: 1.7k
mdni!
Tumblr media
You had broken up with Satoru Gojo exactly four months ago and you had already hooked up with six other guys. Six. You were starting to think that dating an overgrown toddler had dramatically lowered your mental capacity. None of your actions made sense anymore. Maybe your friends were right. Wasting too much time on a man changes a girl.
As you crawled out of the bed of hookup number seven, you nearly tripped over your own heels. You felt like some stupid rom-com character, attempting to stumble away before he woke up. You picked up the shoes you had almost fallen over, grabbed your purse off the ground, and ran for it as quietly possible.
Unlike the other guys you had been with recently, this one had a roommate. He assured you that it was a temporary arrangement, but it didn’t make a difference to you either way. You weren’t going to be coming back. From what you could gather, though, it was the other guy’s house and your hookup was the freeloader. Not the most attractive look for a man, surprisingly. You just hoped that his roommate never saw you and never heard anything that happened in that room. If you were fast enough, you’d be out before either of them woke up and end up as just another faceless girl.
Mother Fortune was not on your side that morning.
You tried to pull down your short skirt from the night before as you wandered into the kitchen. You were slowly learning that your walking when you were hungover was just as bad as it was when you were drunk. You practically fell into the wall just as a door opened down the hallway. Oh God, oh God, oh God. His stupid roommate was about to see you and there was no way you could make it to the front door in time.
You wanted to cry the moment you saw the white hair. Crystal blue eyes met yours, a d immediately a hyena-like cackle rang out through the entire house. All you could do was groan and hang your head in shame.
“Oh, God, this is embarrassing,” Gojo Satoru, the man you had dated for a year and a half, was laughing in your face after you just hooked up with his roommate. Maybe God hated you.
You sighed. “No shit.”
He takes a couple of steps closer, and you just know that he’s gonna rub the entire nightmare in your face. “I mean, I thought I recognized that voice last night, but I thought I was just hallucinating.”
Aaaand of course he had heard you. Either the walls were thinner than your patience or you were putting on a hell of a performance for something that didn’t even make your top ten list.
“Please shut up now.”
“Nah, I’m not gonna shut up,” he laughed again, taking in your disheveled appearance fully. “This is… I mean, this is insane.”
You looked back up at him, watching as his eyes shifted from the stilettos in your hand to your tangled hair and smudged makeup. “I didn’t know that he was your roommate, okay?”
“Buuuut, you still slept with him,” he clicked his tongue disapprovingly. “Always thought that was beneath you.”
“Oh, grow up,” you threw your head back. Did you seriously have to listen to him at 6:30 in the morning while you had a killer headache?
“Do you even know his name?” he grinned. He was acting like a cop on the verge of finding a suspect guilty.
“Of course I know his name,” you scoffed. A sad, blatantly obvious lie.
His eyes lit up. “You don’t.”
“”Yes, I do.”
“You know my name.”
You raised a brow, questioning where he was going with that. “Yeah? Because I’ve known you for years. It’s different than remember a hookup.”
“Is it really that different?”
“Are you stupid? It’s very clearly different.”
He grinned. “You knew my name the day that we met, though.”
“Because I wasn’t drunk.”
“So you wouldn’t have slept with him if you weren’t drunk?”
What was he doing? Your head hurt too bad for you to try to understand what he meant. It was fairly clear that he still wasn’t over the breakup, but other than that, you got absolutely nothing. What point was he trying to prove?
You scoffed. “How did you get there from anything I said?”
“Because,” he shrugged. “Makes sense to me.”
“Half the stuff that makes sense to you sounds illiterate to everyone else.”
“Ouch,” he put a hand over his chest, slumping dramatically like he had just been struck by a bullet. “Words hurt.”
You scoffed at his mediocre performance. “I’m sure you’ll recover.”
“But what if I don’t? The grief is gonna eat me alive. Swear on my life.”
You were tired of him talking before he had even opened his mouth. Now it was too much. You were half naked and barefoot in a stranger’s (maybe not so stranger, apparently) house with unwashed hair, blurry vision, a raging hangover, and zero left over patience. You might have to kill him.
By that point, you were completely unaware of your facial expression, which probably didn’t help what you ended up saying next. “Do you even remember why we broke up, Gojo?”
His smile finally falls at that. His eyes lost their childish shine. Truthfully, he wasn’t entirely sure why your question irked him so bad. It could have been your use of his surname instead of his first, or even just the simple, lingering sting of the breakup. Or maybe it was because yes, he did remember why you two broke up. You had gotten so fed up with his irritating inability to take anything seriously that you gave up completely.
His expression hardened as he took another step towards you. “Don’t do that.”
“Why not?” you rolled your eyes and crossed your arms.
“Because it’s still recent,” he shrugged as casually as ever, acting like he wasn’t actively pouting.
You smirked, taking just the slightest bit of pleasure in his despair. Maybe your hangover was starting to feel a bit better. “Salt in the wound?”
“Yes, very much so.”
You scoffed, turning around and stumbling to his fridge. If you were going to be in your ex’s house, might as well take advantage of how in love with you he still was. You snagged a bottle of water, and he made no move to stop you as you chugged from it.
You looking up and screwed the cap back on, locking eyes with him again. He looked so… sad and contemplative. Yeah. Your hangover was definitely starting to feel better.
“Everything alright over there?”
“Um, everything alright over there?” He raised a brow, immediately regaining his sass the moment he realized he got a bit too vulnerable. “You’re walking like an old woman who lost her cane.”
You grinned. “And to think. For a second there, I was starting to think that you were trying to win me back.”
“I am,” he nods, lifting up his car keys and dangling them in front of his face. “Come on, I’m driving you home.”
You should not have trusted Satoru Gojo after he gave you a smile that sweet.
Now here you were, having your guts practically disintegrated at 1:37 PM. You had talked for a little while — maybe an hour or so — but that had quickly turned into several “I miss you”s, apologies that would never be upheld, and lots and lots of making out.
At least your hangover was better.
Satoru Gojo was exactly how you remembered him being long before the two of you broke up. He normally tried to go slow and savor it, but he always got so eager. It was within minutes, too. You never knew what to expect next. He’d be halfway down the bed lying between your legs, bragging as he pumped his fingers into you. Not even a second later, he’d be on top of you, pushing your legs up to your ears. That still rang true, apparently.
After just a few minutes, you could barely hear whatever nonsense he was panting into your ear. You had already had a long, tragic day, and getting absolutely pummeled by a man you swore to never speak to again wasn’t helping all that much. You couldn’t think anymore. You could hear his breathing and that absolutely disgusting squelching sound coming from between your legs. Your head was thrown back, your eyes were closed, and you were probably drooling. Gojo, however, was having the absolute time of his life, just dragging his hips. Then he sped up again, dropping his head into your neck.
He had you completely bent in half, and somehow got you to be flexible enough for him to practically lay on top of you. Even after the seven guys you had fucked after breaking up with him, absolutely none of them could have prepared you for dealing with this again. With what feeling you had left, you had probably shedded his back with your acrylic nails.
And, God, he adored it. Every second he spent with you was pure heaven, even when you were being a total bitch to him. So being inside you again, listening to you moaning and feeling you clamp down on him like a vice anytime something felt just a bit too good… it was probably the greatest pleasure he would ever experience in his life.
You clenched around his cock for what had to have been the fiftieth time in a row. He nearly laughed.
“You gonna cum?” he mocked, still ramming into you at a nearly inhuman pace.
All you could do was nod pathetically, struggling to even keep your mouth closed by that point.
He huffed out a laugh, slowing down just a bit so he could move his hand down to thumb at your clit. It didn’t take much longer after that for you to cum, cunt spasming around him. He cursed at the squeeze you gave him as you came, following quickly in suit. He was grateful for how fucked out you were, otherwise you would have yelled at him for not pulling out. He was shocked you didn’t even notice. Warm, sticky cum absolutely flooded your pussy and you weren’t even conscious enough to realize it.
He let go of your legs, allowing you to finally relax as he pulled out. He grinned when he looked down and watched white spill out of you.
What a sight for sore eyes.

Stolas just standing there and letting blitz hug him in the end is all good, right? He is just sad because of octavia and accepting that blitz is there with him right?? It's not that he regrets chosing him, right??? (I just need affirmation)
You know what? I've found myself needing reassurance about this too. So let's take a moment to look at the facts together, shall we?
(This reply turned out way longer than I expected it to 😅 sorry!)
Fact #1 - Stolas is still coming to terms with the consequences of his actions. He spends the whole episode finding out just how much his life has changed. Learning how to navigate groceries, and laundry, and meals, and having a job, and worrying about money.
Mid-episode, he has a breakdown where he truly questions if everything he gave up was worth it just for a fantasy. At this point in the episode, he still hasn't realised how much he means to Blitz. As far as he's concerned, he did all of this for someone who doesn't reciprocate his feelings. By the end of the episode, though, his feelings have settled enough for him to express what he has known to be true all along: that saving Blitz was the right thing to do.
What Stolas regrets isn't saving Blitz's life, or even loving Blitz in the first place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What he regrets are the choices he made that led them to this. He feels guilty for selfishly (or, rather, naively) playing out his fantasies. He's the one who established the deal, who let Blitz illegally use the book for many months, who wasn't always sensible about how he expressed his love for Blitz publicly and despite being married, and who allowed himself to ignore the reality of his situation so he could live in his own, personal romcom—all of which ultimately led to the events of Mastermind and the loss of Via.
And all the guilt and regret he's grappling with (however justified it might be) is exacerbated by fact #2, which is:
Fact #2 - Stolas is off his medication. He's been off it for a month now. Symptoms of depression (especially untreated depression) include mood swings, irritability, self-hatred and low self-esteem, passive/active suicidal ideation, pessimism and hopelessness about the future, catastrophising, black-and-white thinking, and anhedonia (inability to feel pleasure and to find joy in things—and people—who used to bring you it). All symptoms Stolas exhibits throughout this episode.
So, even if he shows a lack of emotion toward Blitz at times, or irritation to seemingly minor things like low doors or "secretating" or Karen's behaviour, even if he acts regretful and angry and desolate... a lot of these emotions and behaviours are a result of his depression, and not of actually hating the life he chose.
Fact #3 - Stolas loves Blitz. He always has, and always will. I could point at a thousand different moments in the show when Stolas' love for Blitz has transpired, but I'm going to leave it at his line from Mastermind: "I would rather be dead than live life without you by my side."
Tumblr media
Even after everything they've gone through, even now that he's taken Blitz off his pedestal and can acknowledge that Blitz can be a fucking idiot... Stolas simply does not want to live a life without Blitz. It has always been Blitz. It will always be Blitz.
Stolas loves Blitz.
Fact #4 - Stolas kissed Blitz. Before he truly hits rock bottom as a result of Octavia cutting him out, Stolas is so ecstatic that Blitz cares, that Blitz was willing to go to such lengths to save his life, that he can't hold back the need to kiss Blitz mid-air. Suddenly, none of his earlier frustration matters. Nothing matters expect for how elated he is that Blitz loves him back. So he smiles and he pulls Blitz into a kiss because he can't bear not to kiss Blitz for a moment longer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at this man. Look at how happy he is. Because it's always been Blitz, and maybe it was a fantasy for a long time, but it doesn't have to be anymore. Maybe this can be real now. He's so happy he (and I) could cry.
Fact #5 - Stolas didn't deny loving Blitz. When Via said "You don't love me, you love him," the script very purposefully did not have Stolas go "no, no, Via, that's not true—" or say anything else that might make Blitz doubt, even for a moment, that Stolas loves him. Because that much is true. He does love Blitz. He just also loves Via. Which brings me to:
Fact #6 - Blitz knows Stolas loves him. At no point throughout the episode does Blitz doubt, even for a second, that Stolas loves him. And we know this because Blitz's walls remain down at all times. If Blitz doubted he was loved, if he had even the slightest of reservations, those walls would come crawling back up whether he wanted them to or not. It's what he's been trained and conditioned to do—it's how he's kept his heart safe ever since the accident.
But now, he knows his heart is safe with Stolas. He believes it enough to not depend on his walls to feel at ease. He believes it enough to let himself take care of Stolas and be soft with Stolas without the slightest trace of hesitation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at Blitz's face. This is the face of a man who knows that even if Stolas isn't okay right now, things will get better. And when they do, they'll both still be in love with each other. This is the face of a man who can't wait for something beautiful to flourish between them, but who is in no rush to get there. He knows the road ahead is hard and painful, but he has faith in Stolas. In both of them.
Fact #6 - Stolas was happy to share a private, romantic dance with Blitz. Despite everything going through his mind, he found comfort and happiness in dancing with Blitz; in getting to have this little moment with him.
He found relief in the fact that Blitz stayed with him this time, even after Stolas told him, once again, that he didn't have to stay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His reaction to Blitz initiating a dance between them is genuine surprise, immediately followed by an enamoured little smile at the mere notion that he gets to have this, now.
And, as they dance, he keeps smiling and leaning into Blitz, going as far as to manage a deep, heartfelt laugh at Blitz's words. This, for an unmedicated, depressed person going through one of the worst days of his life, is huge in itself. It shows that, even in the worst of times, he finds undeniable comfort and happiness in Blitz.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, after their dance, Stolas looks at Blitz with a sobriety and soft sort of realisation that shows he's finally coming to terms with the fact that this is real. After everything he's lost, after all the fantasies he hoped for for so long and believed he'd never have, he finally gets to have this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the pain he's going through, Stolas looks at Blitz and sees the man he loves.
Notice how Blitz's eyes trail down to Stolas' mouth. And Stolas realises. And doesn't move away. Waiting, expectantly, for Blitz's next move, fully expecting it to be a kiss.
But then Blitz hugs him instead, and Stolas doesn't hug back.
And it's not because he doesn't want to be hugged by Blitz. It's not because his feelings for Blitz have changed, or dimmed, or disappeared. It's not because he regrets loving Blitz, or saving him. It's not because he doesn't want to have a close, healthy, loving romantic relationship with Blitz.
It's because of facts #1 (he's grappling with so much guilt and coming to terms with the consequences of his actions) and #2 (he's experiencing symptoms of unmedicated depression). And, above all, it's because of fact #7, which is...
Fact #7 - Stolas doesn't know how to be loved. Stolas has never had support. He has never had a shoulder to cry on, or someone to hold him when he needed it. When he's feeling vulnerable and broken, he defaults to hugging himself as a way to self-soothe, because that's the only comfort he's ever known.
And because he's never known comfort from others—because it was never allowed or safe for him to need or ask for comfort from others—all Stolas knows to do with his vulnerability is hide it. So much so that, the two times we see him begin to break down in front of Blitz before this episode, he either portals Blitz away or masks his tears and pain immediately. Even as he drunkenly rambles about wanting to be held, he still makes sure not to appear like he actually needs a hug.
So when he finds himself being held by Blitz in a warm, comforting hug, Stolas doesn't know how to respond. Because he's never had this. He's never had an opportunity to learn how to exist in someone's comforting embrace, how to interact with this kind of physical contact. He still has to learn how to feel safe between arms that aren't his own.
Simply put, Stolas still doesn't know how to hold Blitz back.
That doesn't mean Stolas doesn't want or need physical comfort. He needs it desperately—everyone does. But wanting something and knowing how to actually have it are two very different things, and Blitz knows that better than anyone, because he's wanted Stolas for a very long time, but didn't, until very recently, know how to feel safe accepting Stolas' love.
And that's why Blitz is completely understanding of the fact that all Stolas can do, all Stolas has the ability to do, is stand there and let himself be held, and let his emotions go through him. In, and out, with every breath, with every second. And get slowly acquainted with what being comforted by the person he loves feels like.
Tumblr media
Thirty-something years of trauma can't be undone in a single hug, or a single conversation, and it's going to take time for Stolas to learn how to be present while in Blitz's arms, and how to return that emotional closeness.
But Blitz has faith in him. Blitz is willing to be patient and soft with him while he gets better. Blitz is ready to meet Stolas where he's at, because he knows, beyond a trace of doubt, that they love one another, and they're going to be okay. Even if Stolas doesn't know it yet—even if we, the audience don't know it yet—Blitz knows.
And that's just going to have to be enough for now.
And because this post got completely away from me, I shall conclude by quoting their song, because it summarises their story better than I ever could:
Truer love is hard to find. ❤️

there’s something sad i’ve been thinking about for a while now. (this one particular thing was what inspired my entire arranged marriage au lmao)
its the idea of Derek having been through so much in his life that when confronted with the possibility of Stiles betraying him the truth become irrelevant. the truth isn’t enough anymore. idk if im explaining this right.
Lets say Stiles has been part of Derek’s pack for a while and Derek trusts him 100% maybe they’re a couple or maybe they aren’t yet, it doesn’t matter.
Unbeknownst to him, Stiles gets used by hunters to get to the pack or something like that. When he’s found out, obviously it goes really badly.
Derek closes up completely. Old familiar walls being pulled back up with Stiles outside of them.
Stiles is beyond distraught and he tries to reason with Derek. He makes Derek listen to his heart when he says he had no idea and its obvious Derek knows the truth but it’s not enough.
Derek is unmoved and feels so distant even tho he’s right there in front of him. Stiles is desperate and begs Derek to please not shut him out and it’s super painful for the both of them even if Derek seems cold and impassive.
Derek tells Stiles to leave and that he’ll have him under constant watch until further notice. Basically putting Stiles on house arrest until the threat to the pack has passed. Stiles can just agree because what else can he do? Derek, his Alpha, can’t trust him anymore, what else is there to do but go home and wait him out.
He’s taken home by Boyd who’s silent as he drives the jeep and Stiles to his house. The beta follows Stiles inside and the moment they reach his bedroom, Stiles finally breaks down. He starts sobbing and hyperventilating. This is it right? Derek won’t forgive him. Forgive him something he’s not even entirely guilty of. He blames himself of course, he should have been more careful but Stiles would never knowingly endanger the pack and Derek knows this, he knows all of this but it doesn’t matter.
The truth doesn’t matter here and Stiles understands, he gets it but it doesn’t make the whole thing any less painful.
He spirals and he can’t breathe until Boyd pulls him into his chest firmly and hugs him tight. He pulls Stiles’ face to his neck the way Derek does sometimes when Stiles is upset about something and Stiles immediately starts gulping in Boyd’s scent and letting it calm him. Boyd nuzzles at his hairline, puffing his breath a little, scent marking him.
When he’s calm in his arms, Boyd starts whispering. He reassures Stiles that he’ll talk to Derek, that Stiles shouldn’t worry, everything will be okay. Derek just needs some time. The pack will fix this.
Stiles hugs Boyd tighter, nodding into his neck. Boyd was right, everything will be okay he just needs to wait things out for a bit thats all.
Boyd leaves not long after but Stiles knows he’s not far. He’s taking the first shift of guarding duty.
Obviously, it all works out in the end. Derek eventually comes around and even apologizes to Stiles even if Stiles didn’t really need him to. Stiles cries a little and Derek can smell the cloying misery on him. Stiles basically went through hell waiting him out. Derek apologizes again, Stiles tells him to stop apologizing and just asks him not to shut him out again. Derek promises he won’t and maybe they kiss a little because hell they deserve a treat.

Can't Handle When the Fight Runs Out
Jayce Talis x f!Reader | 2.1k | SFW (tw: mentions of self harm)
Having survived the outcome of the hexcore's chaos, Jayce now deals with the consequences his trauma has on your relationship. A/N: angst, i'm sorry!! I was really inspired by this beautiful song. 🚫 I DO NOT CONSENT TO MY WORK BEING USED TO TRAIN AI 🚫
“Jayce?”
His name spoken, a warm hand outstretched in the dark.
The scar on his back was blue in the speckled moonlight that blanketed the kitchen, his shoulders heaving silently. The shadow of raindrops fell down the perfect canvas, disturbed only by the dents and divots of musculature.
Creaky floorboards announced your presence with a soft groan, and Jayce’s head snapped to the side, his eyes wide.
You approached cautiously, placing a gentle hand on his back. Jayce flinched, leaning forward, placing his hands against the stone counter top to ground himself.
“Did the thunder wake you?” You asked, delving further forward, careful touches sinking into his warm flesh until he gave way, leaning back into you as you pressed your cheek to him.
You gazed through the tall window into the night. Heavy rainfall and a sad, quiet record had lulled you into an easy sleep. You hadn’t noticed Jayce had left your bed until you rolled over, grasping for his body and coming up empty.
Lightning flashed across the blackened sky, illuminating the towers of Piltover. No longer did the tallest building emit the comforting blue glow of the hexgates. All that was left was an unsettling darkness, an absence that would be fruitless to fill.
Jayce didn’t answer. You were patient, your sleep-laden body heavy against his as you struggled to keep upright.
His silence gnawed at you. You wrapped your arms around his waist, fingers stretching up, settling over his heart.
“D’you want me to stay or go?”
Jayce placed his hand over yours. “Stay.”
That was something. Often, he’d tell you to go back to bed, made grumpy in all his missed sleep.
Most days he could barely stand to look at you anymore. Rejection was poised on his tongue at every suggestion. A trip to get away from Piltover? Picking up a new hobby to serve as a distraction? Alchemical solutions to help him sleep? No. No. No.
It was enough to make you feel like a burden.
As if hearing you dwell on such thoughts, Jayce said, “I’m sorry.”
“You were angry,” you conceded. “You’re forgiven.”
He wrapped a hold around your hands, pulling your arms around himself tighter.
“Does it get too hard?” He asked, “Being so good to me every day?” His head hung heavy, his sorrow apparent. “I know I haven’t been… easy to love, lately.”
Your eyes stung. You pressed your forehead to his back, letting the tears fall to the floor with two dull thuds.
It would’ve been to hard to dispute his words, for they were true. And besides, you didn’t want this to devolve into another fight.
Jayce sighed, breathing into your silence. He turned, rotating in your arms, to face you. You peered up at him, the motion causing another tear to fall onto your cheek.
“I know it’s been hard for you too,” your voice was small. “More than I can imagine.”
Jayce shook his head, eyebrows drawn down. He looked like a kicked puppy, even while he towered over you, strong hands reaching up to hold your face tenderly.
“I stood at the end of the world,” he said, fear flashing in his eyes at the recollection, “I feel the same way I did then, whenever the distance between us grows. And I know it’s all my fault.”
“It’s okay-“
“No, it’s not.”
You took a step back, out of his grip. You were so tired of his bad moods. Of his righteous victimhood. You were a mix of resentful and guilty and adoring. How could you be anything other than grateful he had come home, all those months ago?
“It’s okay,” you reiterated, “I never assumed I’d be getting the same Jayce back.”
He nodded, clasping his shaking hands in front of himself, his eyes following, not wanting you to see how hurt he felt.
“Yeah,” he huffed ironic amusement, “Instead, you got a ghost.”
His thumb traced the blue rune embedded in his wrist. The flesh now bore two deep purple lines where he had attempted to carve it out. You winced as your vision flashed red at the memory.
“What is it you want to do?” You had refrained from asking questions for long enough. You knew you had been avoiding the inevitable heartbreak.
Being brave wasn’t your forte. If you had been in Jayce’s shoes, you knew you wouldn’t have been able to do it, soft-hearted as you were.
“I don’t want to keep hurting you,” Jayce decided, the finality in his voice making your stomach twist. “Seems I can’t handle when the fight runs out. All I do is take it out on you.”
Why couldn’t he be content with the peace he had earned? Why couldn’t he block out the violent memories with the love and light you provided?
He had spent countless sleepless nights tracing your sleeping form, wanting to wake you and share his burden. But the thought of tainting you with it pained him more than the nightmares that left claw marks on his mind.
He’d started to resent you for knowing him so well. For leaving when he needed space, and staying when he needed your touch. For voicing how he felt without him needing to open his mouth. Lashing out whenever you tried to offer company, keeping you backed against the walls in your own home to avoid upsetting him.
You were the last thought that floated to his consciousness in that final, bright flash. Instead of the comfort of death, he had awoken to a new day, with nothing left to say.
Who was he without Viktor, without his partner? What was his purpose without hextech, without some sort of greater cause? There was nothing left for him in this world, and yet it had selfishly taken him back, bringing him back to you.
You, who had waited patiently for him to speak, after days of shell-shocked speechlessness. You, who had bathed him and shaved him and slipped fluffy socks on his feet to keep him warm. You, who rushed to close the windows and balcony doors whenever construction down the street began, shielding him from any startling noises.
You, who had been his entire world, until he realized you were just a girl.
As much as he wished for the adverse to be true, a person couldn’t substitute a purpose.
“Can you be angry with me, for once?” His tone was begging, his eyes glassy as he looked up to meet your gaze.
Looking at you, he could glean no fury, no fire. Only weariness etched into your beautiful face, a blank facade that had once been so prone to passion. Despite his attempts to keep you sheltered from his mangled psyche, he had broken you.
Your profile was cast in a blue flicker from the lightning outside, and it pulled your attention away. You stared into the rain for a while before taking hold of Jayce’s hand, tugging him silently to the door.
You were bringing him outside. Kicking him out. His heart started stuttering at the prospect. He thought he was ready for it, he had imagined it would have to come sometime soon.
As you stepped past the apartment threshold, all entered an almost-perfect darkness. You let Jayce’s hand fall, not looking at him before stepping into the rain.
Jayce choked on a response to your unexpected action. Words failed him as he watched you quickly become drenched, before laying down on the road. Your form blended into the storm, your baggy pyjama pants and sleeping top forming tight around your body from the weight of the water.
Jayce entered the curtain waterfall, the raindrops fat and cool amongst the humid summer air. His feet slapped against the pavement until he reached you. He hesitated no longer to lay down beside you, his eyes squinted against the water as it fell against his face.
He stretched his arms out, splayed fingers bumping against yours. He turned his head to look at you, and you were already gazing at your close hands, undeniably feeling the same pull he was.
Jayce linked his fingers through yours, resting the back of his hand against the wet ground.
“I know the emptiness inside you can’t be remedied by anything I do,” you told him after a while of drowning in your swirling emotions.
The rain had woken both of you up, your emotions more coherent. You were looking up into the cloudy sky, the rain letting up finally, slowly transforming from raindrops to a light mist.
“Then why do you keep trying?” Jayce asked. “Doesn’t it piss you off?”
“Of course it does,” you said, with a gentleness that soothed his soul, despite his yearning for anger. “But that emptiness isn’t you, Jayce. Your grief isn’t a part of you, it’s just… the construction of a monument to all you’ve lost. It always takes time before it’s done.”
Jayce glanced at the scaffolding against the front of one of the neighbouring buildings on your street. He smiled at your everlasting ability to make random analogies from your surroundings.
“Let me guess. It also puts up a racket that drives the neighbours crazy?”
“Exactly,” you smiled, turning onto your side to look at him.
He sighed, turning to face you too. “You do realize we’re laying in the middle of the street?”
“Mhm,” you hummed your acknowledgement, your face still warm despite the chill that had set in from the rain.
You reached out for him, and he shuffled closer, cradling your hand as you pressed it to his cheek.
“What if the builders are lousy and take long lunch breaks?” He asked, “What if they can’t get the monument done in time?”
You ran your thumb along his cheek, along his scar. “Isn’t that what always happens? It’s to be expected.”
Jayce slid your hand down to his lips, placing a kiss against your fingers. His hip was starting to ache from being pressed against the concrete. Every sensation suddenly sharp and astute, something he wasn’t used to these days as he walked through a haze.
It was nice to finally feel awake.
You pushed against the ground, raising to sit, your knees bent.
“If you want to leave, I won’t stop you.”
Jayce sat up, his mind no longer clouded by pity and pain.
“And if I want to stay?” He asked, “How do I make it up to you?”
You frowned, thinking about it.
“Talk to me. Let me in on the blueprints for this massive monument being built inside of you.”
Jayce chuckled, catching your hand as it slapped half-heartedly against his chest.
“A burden shared is a burden halved, right? I think in your case the burden if way too big to be easily split, but if I can even take a chip of it, hand me a chisel.”
“Alright,” his voice strained as he stood with effort, “I can tell how tired you are when you start getting attached to metaphors. Let’s get you back to bed.”
Before you could prepare a retort, Jayce was scooping you up, carrying you without effort back into your home. You had begun shivering at some point, no doubt from the cold of the rain, and Jayce held your trembling body close, his body heat a persevering force.
When you returned home, Jayce shed your wet clothes and bundled you in blankets and pulled on fluffy socks, placing a kiss on each ankle as he finished doing so.
Warmth blossomed in your chest from the affection. It had been so long since he had indulged in it.
Now he nuzzled his face into your neck, snoring while you remained wide awake. Laying with his peaceful presence, and stroking calming touches to his hair when he twitched from dreams. You could have stayed like that forever, holding him and the weight of the grief inside of him. But then the rain started back up again, and the periodic rise of his back with each breath lulled you to sleep, his body a weighted blanket.
The morning was grey and the rain continued, leading to a late sleep-in. The smell of breakfast woke you a moment before Jayce entered the room, his face clean-shaven and his eyes the brightest you’d seen since he went away.
“It’s not a chisel,” he said, handing you a fork, “but it’s a start, right?”
You looked between him and the plate. Carefully, you took it from his hands, placing both items on the nightstand before pulling him against you in a desperate embrace, your kisses erratic and drawing pleased sounds from his pretty throat.
“Missed you,” you hummed against his lips.
“Me too,” he replied, before deepening the kiss.

Escape — A. Putellas x Reader
"Write to Me and Escape"
WC: 5.5k
Summary: You couldn’t hold it in anymore, you just had to see them even if it wrecked you. But what you find changes everything, and nothing feels the same anymore.
Pt. 1 , Pt. 2 , Pt. 3 , Pt.4
The rhythm with go4goald2 fell back into place quicker than you expected.
Alexia had warned you about the media days, press events and tight schedule. You’d nodded to yourself, thanked her for the heads-up, and tried not to be disappointed when she used the words “a few days.” It had taken months for her to remember how to tell you things before they hurt. You gave her credit for that. Quietly. Without saying it out loud.
But now with her occupied and off your screen, off your mind in a way that felt both guilty and relieving, you opened Chattr without hesitation. No wince. No weighing what it meant.
Just you. And them.
The message was already waiting.
[go4goald2]: Okay, important: If your life had a laugh track, what moment would it play the loudest?
You grinned before you even started typing.
[lostinthecrowd]: When I waved back at someone who was waving at the person behind me, then tried to cover it by swatting a fly that didn’t exist.
[go4goald2]: Oh my god, I’m cringing in solidarity.
[lostinthecrowd]: It haunts me weekly. Specifically at 11:47 p.m. when I'm trying to sleep like a normal person.
[go4goald2]: Good, it keeps you humble.
You laughed and felt something in your chest unspool just a little.
[go4goald2]: Okay, but now I need more. What's the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done on purpose?
You didn’t overthink it. You didn’t try to be cool. You just told the truth.
[lostinthecrowd]: I once tried to flirt with a barista by ordering “whatever you think matches my vibe.”
[lostinthecrowd]: They gave me a decaf oat milk lavender latte that tasted like sadness and dirt.
[go4goald2]: Nooo. Did you drink the whole thing??
[lostinthecrowd]: Yep. Smiled through it then tipped five bucks out of pure shame.
There was a pause. Just long enough to notice.
Then:
[go4goald2]: You´re such a dumbass.
[go4goald2]: I love you.
You froze.
Not because you thought they meant it.
Not really.
But because it hit different, even as a joke.
Because the part of you that was still clawing for something real? It wanted to believe it. Even just for a second.
You didn’t reply right away.
[go4goald2]: I´m so sorry. That was too much.
[lostinthecrowd]: No. It wasn’t. I just... didn’t expect it.
A pause. Then:
[go4goald2]: I think about you a lot when I'm not talking to you. When something dumb happens. When I see something and wonder if you’d laugh at it. That's normal, right?
You stared at the screen.
Felt your chest clench in that stupid, hopeful, terrified way.
[lostinthecrowd]: Maybe not normal. But... not bad.
Another beat.
[go4goald2]: Have you ever fallen for someone just by how they see you?
That was… something.
Because yes.
Because that’s exactly what this was starting to feel like.
You typed slower this time.
[lostinthecrowd]: I think I'm scared of how much I want to say yes to that.
You waited.
And waited.
Then finally:
[go4goald2]: I won't ask you to say it. Not if it’s not the time. I just want you to know you’re seen exactly as you are. You don’t have to change anything around me.
You closed your eyes. Let the words settle.
Alexia was trying. She was.
But this?
This felt like being chosen in real time.
And you didn’t know what to do with that yet.
So instead, you reached down, scratched behind Tofu’s ears, and whispered, “You’re not helping, you know.”
He snorted. Rolled over like he disagreed.
Your phone buzzed again.
[go4goald2]: Are you still with me?
You hesitated.
Then, without thinking too hard, you typed:
[lostinthecrowd]: Yeah, I’m still here.
And god help you, for the first time in a long time, you meant it.
[go4goald2]: If I asked you something kind of dangerous, would you answer?
[lostinthecrowd]: That depends. Are we talking dangerous like “eat expired sushi” or dangerous like “emotional vulnerability at midnight”?
[go4goald2]: The second one, obviously.
[lostinthecrowd]: Then maybe, ask.
[go4goald2]: Do you think some people are meant for us… But not meant to stay?
[lostinthecrowd]: Jesus.
[go4goald2]: Too much?
[lostinthecrowd]: Not too much. Just… accurate.
[go4goald2]: I think about it a lot. How sometimes you meet someone and they wreck you. Not in a bad way. Just… Like they rearrange everything inside you. And then they’re gone. But you’re still left shaped like them.
[lostinthecrowd]: And then you meet someone else, and they touch that same part of you, but gentler.
[go4goald2]: Yeah. Like maybe the first person cracked you open so someone else could find you.
[lostinthecrowd]: I don't know if I believe in fate.
[go4goald2]: Me neither. But I believe in timing, and maybe we don’t always get to choose what hurts.
[lostinthecrowd]: Sometimes I think I was supposed to love her, just not forever.
There was a pause.
Not the bad kind. The kind that means someone is breathing slowly before saying something that might change everything.
[go4goald2]: And now?
You stared at the screen. Tofu shifted against your thigh. You started typing, fingers shaking.
[lostinthecrowd]: Now I'm scared, because I think I'm falling again. and I don't know whose arms I want to land on.
You didn’t get a reply right away.
But the typing bubble flickered.
Flickered.
Then it disappeared.
Then..
Your phone rang.
Not Chattr.
Not go4goald2.
Alexia.
You froze. Let it ring once. Twice. Four times.
Your thumb moved before you could talk yourself out of it.
“...Hey,” you said, your voice paper-thin.
There was a pause. Then:
“Sorry,” she said, exhaling like the air had been punched out of her. “I didn’t mean to call. I mean, I did. I just…”
You waited.
“I’m at the hotel,” she said, too fast. “Patri and Pina were curled up on the couch watching some stupid romcom, and she was laughing so hard she had to hide her face in her hoodie. It made me think of you. Of us. Of how we used to be when everything still felt easy.”
She paused.
“And I just.. God, I missed you so much it hurt. Like physical, actual pain. And I didn’t know what to do with it, so I called.”
You didn’t say anything and allowed the silence to wrap around both of you like fog.
Her voice cracked. “I don’t know what I’m doing. I just know that it’s 1am and I heard your laugh in my head and I realized it’s been months since I heard it for real. And that’s my fault.”
She sniffled. Not trying to hide it. “I spent so long trying to prove I could be everything to everyone. I didn’t realize I was becoming nothing to you.”
You swallowed hard.
“I miss you,” she whispered. “Not just the version of you that laughed with me. The quiet parts too. The hard days. The mornings when you hated everyone but me. I miss you. All of it.”
She laughed, watery. “God, I sound drunk. I’m not. I’m just tired, being a little stupid. And a lot in love, still.”
A beat. Then she said, almost childishly soft,
“You don’t have to say anything. I just wanted to call before I got too scared to.”
She hung up.
No goodbye. Just a breath. Then gone.
You stared at your phone like it had short-circuited your brain.
And then it buzzed.
Chattr.
You opened it.
[go4goald2]: Hey, you okay?
Your fingers moved.
Paused.
Then:
[lostinthecrowd]: She called.. She cried and then said things I didn't know I still needed to hear.
A beat.
Then:
[go4goald2]: And what do you need right now?
You blinked. Let your eyes close. Let the weight of that question settle into your ribs.
And then you typed:
[lostinthecrowd]: I don’t know, but I think I need to find out without disappearing again.
Because that was the truth.
You weren’t running.
But you were on the edge.
And you didn’t want to fall without knowing where you’d land.
For two days, you didn’t text Alexia. You didn’t open Chattr either. The silence just settled in, uninvited but familiar, like it had a key. You moved through the apartment like your skin didn’t fit right, trying not to look at anything too long. Everything in here had her fingerprints on it, some literal, some worse.
Tofu had no such crisis. He charged through your day like he owned it. Like this was his apartment and you were just lucky to live in it. He leapt onto the couch without asking, claimed the sunny spot on the rug like a seasoned diva, and barked loudly when you took too long filling his water bowl. He had no patience for emotional spirals. He had toys to destroy and treats to extort.
And still, somehow, he made your chest ache.
Because she gave him to you.
Just a few weeks ago, the night before she left for international break, she showed up with a bag full of supplies and said, “He’s yours now. I think you need each other.” Like he was a peace offering. Like he was a bridge. Or maybe a way to say I still love you, without the risk of hearing it back.
You told yourself it didn’t mean anything.
But she’d remembered the kind of dog you always paused to pet on the street. She picked a leash in your favorite color. She said, “His name’s Tofu,” with a smile so soft it was like an inside joke you hadn’t caught yet. And then she kissed your forehead like she didn’t still live in the ache of your throat.
Now Tofu was sprawled across your lap, toy half-chewed between his paws, utterly unbothered by your entire existential crisis. You ran your fingers through his fur absentmindedly, blinked at the ceiling, tried not to think too hard.
But it was impossible not to think of her when he was like this.
So sure of you. So certain you’d hold him, feed him, love him. No hesitation. No fear.
He trusted you more than you trusted yourself right now.
And God, what did it mean that she’d given you something this soft? This loud? This real?
You missed her. That was the truth. You missed the girl who used to dance in the kitchen while brushing her teeth. The girl who always pulled your hand into her lap when you were anxious, like that was enough to ground you. The girl who said “I love you” like it was a fact, not a performance.
You missed her so much it made your teeth hurt.
But missing someone didn’t erase what they did to you.
Tofu snorted in his sleep and shifted, shoving his back against your stomach like he was trying to merge your atoms. You laughed, quietly and bitterly. Even the dog didn’t believe in personal space.
You were trying so hard not to fall into the same shape you used to hold with her. But everything in this apartment: the blanket, the coffee mugs, this ridiculous little gremlin she gifted you, was a memory dressed like comfort.
And then there was go4goald2.
You hadn’t talked since the night Alexia called. Since everything broke open and left you standing in the middle of the mess, holding pieces of two different people who both made you feel too much.
They hadn’t messaged. Not since that quiet, careful question:
“And what do you need right now?”
You didn’t know if your silence had said too much. Or not enough.
You wanted to miss them. That would’ve been easier. Cleaner. But what you felt instead was worse:
You wanted them. Present-tense. Fully. Still.
Their steadiness. The way they listened without grabbing at your pain. The way they never asked you to perform softness, but you just found yourself being soft anyway.
And maybe it was good that they hadn’t texted. Maybe they sensed the edge you were standing on. Maybe they didn’t want to crowd it.
But God, part of you wanted them to fight for the space they’d carved into your chest.
Just a little.
Not with declarations. Not with pressure.
Just something. Anything. To say:
I’m still here. Even now.
But they didn’t.
By the third day, you still didn’t check your phone.
Not out of resolve, not even out of strength. But just because you didn’t want anything to answer to yet. You got dressed slowly. Took a real shower. Let the hot water hit your neck long enough to make you feel human.
Then you leashed Tofu and left the apartment.
No headphones. No destination. Just a slow walk through streets that didn’t ask anything of you. Tofu trotted like he owned the world, occasionally stopping to sniff something so thoroughly you almost apologized to the sidewalk.
You passed the bakery where Alexia used to make you pick out the pastries because she “couldn’t be trusted around sugar.” The coffee place you found together by accident. The crosswalk she once danced across in the rain.
You didn’t linger.
Not because the memories weren’t still in your chest. But because you finally understood something:
You don’t owe every memory a place in your future.
Tofu barked at a pigeon, almost dislocated your shoulder, then looked up at you like did you see that??
You laughed. Just a little. Just enough to count.
You kept walking.
Past the part of town where the noise softened. Past the old bookstore with the spray-painted sign. Past the bus stop where you used to wait for her, headphones on, heart in your throat.
And at some point, you sat down.
On a bench. Sun on your face. Tofu curled at your feet like a tiny guard.
You didn’t cry. You didn’t spiral.
You just let yourself feel the space in your chest. The one where love used to hurt, but now just… waited.
You didn’t know what you were choosing yet.
But for once, it didn’t feel like something was being chosen for you.
When you finally opened your phone, it buzzed to life with the weight of unread words. First, Alexia. A string of messages you hadn’t seen, each one longer than the last. No guilt, not this time. Just softness. Apologies that sounded real. Updates that sounded like effort. Hope that didn’t demand anything in return. She said she missed you. That she was proud of you. That even if you didn’t say it back, she’d keep trying to be someone worth coming home to.
You read every word. Didn’t respond. Not yet. Your chest was already full.
So you opened Chattr instead.
One message.
[go4goald2]: If we never talk again, I’ll still be glad I got to know this version of you.
You stared at it for a long time. Not because it hurt, but because it didn’t try to make you feel guilty. Just seen.
You blinked. Typed slowly.
[lostinthecrowd]: I missed this. You. I was scared to come back, and I didn’t know if I deserved to.
The reply came fast. Like they’d been waiting.
[go4goald2]: You never had to earn this. Just had to be you.
Something tugged behind your ribs. You let the words linger. You thought about who you were when you talked to them. How safe it felt. How easy. And how terrifying it was to want that ease somewhere real.
Then:
[go4goald2]: You ever feel like... If someone actually saw you, not your texts, not your voice, but you. They’d change their mind?
And after a beat:
[go4goald2]: I’m not as charming out loud. Not as easy to love in real time.
You felt that one like it had hands. Like it gripped the version of you who’d been broken open too many times and still wanted to be seen. It knocked the breath out of you, soft and brutal.
Because Alexia saw the real you, and still drifted.
And here was someone who hadn’t even looked at your face, and already thought they weren’t worth being loved back.
You sat with it. With the ache and the clarity and the ridiculous, inconvenient spark of hope.
Then you typed, slow. Barely breathing.
[lostinthecrowd]: What if I want to see you anyway?
You stared at the screen like it was holding its breath for you.
That message, “What if I want to see you anyway?” felt like too much and not enough, all at once. A confession. A dare. A quiet leap off the edge of something you weren’t sure you’d survive.
No reply came right away.
You waited, chest tight, thumb hovering like you might take it back.
And then, finally:
[go4goald2]: Are you sure?
[go4goald2]: I can tell you where. Or I can come to you. Doesn’t matter how far. I’d show up.
You didn’t know what to do with that. The certainty. The promise. It slid under your ribs and settled there, warm and terrifying.
Your thumbs hovered.
[lostinthecrowd]: Barcelona.
You hit send and stared at it like it might echo back at you.
The typing bubble flickered.
Then:
[go4goald2]: No way! I’m not far from there. Funny how small the world gets when you want to find someone.
[go4goald2]: There’s a park not far from the center. Quiet, not a lot of people this time of day. Benches near the pond. Friday? Afternoon?
Friday.
You glanced at the calendar. That was tomorrow.
Alexia wasn’t due back until Saturday.
You chewed your lip.
Typed:
[lostinthecrowd]: Okay. Friday. 3PM. I’ll be there.
Your stomach flipped.
[go4goald2]: You don’t have to dress up. I just want it to be real.
And god. That hit harder than it should’ve.
You let the words sit for a while. Then replied:
[lostinthecrowd]: I’m nervous. Like… really nervous.
[go4goald2]: Me too. I keep thinking… What if I ruin the version of me you made up in your head?
[lostinthecrowd]: Maybe we’re both scared of being seen.
[go4goald2]: But I still want to be. Even if it’s messy.
That was the one that pulled your chest open again. Not in a loud, devastating way. Just quiet. Steady. Like something soft demanding space.
You smiled. A little.
And then, because the universe couldn’t leave you alone for five seconds, your phone buzzed again.
Different thread.
Different gravity.
Ale: Can we go on a date when I’m back? Just one. No pressure. Just us, somewhere soft. I miss seeing you happy.
You didn’t move. Couldn’t.
It felt like the floor shifted beneath you. Like the walls of the apartment tilted, just slightly. Everything inside you paused, holding its breath.
Of course. Of course she’d say that now.
When you’d already agreed to meet someone else. When your heart was already being pulled in two directions, and you weren’t sure who was holding it tighter.
You opened the message. Read it again.
“Somewhere soft.”
She remembered.
You wanted to cry. You wanted to scream. You wanted to throw your phone out the window and pretend none of this ever happened.
Instead, you typed. Slowly. Carefully. Erased it.
Typed again.
“Maybe. I don’t know yet.”
It wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t cold either. It was honest.
And right now, that felt like the only thing you could give.
You stared at your phone like it had just exposed you. Like it had read your thoughts out loud.
Your fingers hovered. Then curled. Then pulled back entirely.
Because this wasn’t innocent anymore.
This was a plan. A place. A person waiting on the other end of a meet-up that you said yes to.
While your wife started making the effort of trying to mend your marriage.
You pressed the heel of your hand against your chest, like you could quiet the storm happening underneath.
“I’m not a cheater,” you whispered to the quiet. To the dog. To no one.
But god, it didn’t feel like the truth.
Because something in you wanted this.
Not to hurt her. Not to run.
But to be chosen, just once, without the history attached.
You swallowed hard.
And for the first time since this all started, the shame didn’t come from what she did to you.
It came from what you were about to do to her.
That evening, the apartment went quiet in that way that didn’t feel peaceful, just still. Like the world had pressed pause and forgotten to hit play again.
You didn’t cook. Didn’t clean. You couldn’t even remember if you’d eaten.
You sat on the floor instead. Cross-legged in the warm patch of light near the window. The carpet was soft under your fingertips, Tofu a few inches away, belly-up and blissed out like none of this was his problem.
And he was right. None of it was.
You watched the dust float in the air, caught by the last of the sun. Tried to match your breathing to something, anything, but every inhale felt offbeat. Too shallow. Too loud.
It should’ve been simple.
You loved her. You did.
Even when she let you fall apart quietly. Even when you stopped asking her to notice. You still wanted to believe that the good version of her, the one who used to wrap her arms around your grief like it was something she could carry too, that version still existed.
And maybe she did.
Maybe she was coming back.
But then there was them. The stranger who didn’t feel like a stranger anymore. The one who never saw how you looked like, never watched you shut down in real time, but somehow knew exactly where to speak light into your dark.
And that scared the hell out of you.
Because it felt safe. Because it felt new. Because it felt like something you didn’t have to work so hard to keep.
Your gaze landed on the edge of the couch where Alexia’s blanket was still folded. You hadn’t washed it. Part of you wanted to. Scrub it clean of her. Make it smell like detergent instead of memory.
But you didn’t.
Because the truth was: you still curled up in it on the nights that felt heavier than they should.
You leaned your head back against the couch and let your eyes close.
Am I the bad guy now?
You didn’t say it out loud. Just let it echo.
Because wasn’t that the worst part? That you didn’t even know who you were rooting for anymore?
Yourself?
Your marriage?
Your undoing?
Tofu let out a dramatic little huff and pressed his nose to your ankle, like he could sense the unraveling.
You reached for him without thinking, hand sliding across his soft side, grounding yourself in the simple fact of his presence.
“She gave you to me,” you whispered. “And now I don’t know what to do with any of it.”
He didn’t answer. Just blinked at you with that dumb, unconditional loyalty you were starting to envy.
You picked up your phone.
Didn’t open it.
Didn’t scroll.
Just held it. Like a secret. Like a lit match you were scared to put down or use.
What if seeing them changes everything?
What if it ruins the version of yourself that’s still trying to believe you can fix this?
What if it makes you want something you can’t explain?
The idea of going back to who you were before felt impossible. But going forward, without knowing who would be standing next to you?
That felt just as dangerous.
The sky outside bled into lavender. The room got colder. You didn’t move.
Not yet.
Just sat there in the quiet, heart in your throat, phone in your lap, dog at your feet.
You must’ve dozed off at some point.
When your eyes blinked open, the light had shifted again. Warmer. Golden. The kind that made everything look softer than it really was.
Your head was tilted against the couch, your hand still curled around Tofu’s back, and your phone… still sitting untouched.
But the moment you closed your eyes again, you weren’t in the apartment anymore.
You were in a kayak. Red. Wobbly. Drifting down a lazy river somewhere in northern Catalonia, back when the heat clung to your skin and love felt like it could conquer everything. Alexia was behind you, her paddle mostly useless, feet kicked up like this was a goddamn vacation and not a couple activity. Her hair was stuffed into a crooked braid, her shoulders already pink from the sun she swore "wasn't that strong."
"You’re gonna burn," you told her without looking back.
"Impossible," she said. "I’m invincible. Also I have olive skin, remember?"
You rolled your eyes. "Sunscreen doesn't care about your bloodline, babe."
She laughed. Loud. Carefree. The kind of laugh that made your chest crack open a little wider every time.
Later that night, she lay face-down on your bed, moaning into the pillow like a dying Victorian orphan.
"Don't say I didn't warn you," you said, smirking as you dabbed aloe on the back of her neck.
She groaned. "I regret everything except loving you."
You paused. Only for a second.
Because she said it like it was a joke. But it didn’t land like one.
And in that moment, her skin hot, her hair a mess, her voice low and unguarded, you knew. Not the lightning-bolt kind of knowing. Just soft. Obvious. Like looking down and realizing your hands were already full.
You loved her.
Not the polished version. Not the public one.
You loved this Alexia. Burnt and bratty and too proud to admit it.
The memory hit hard now.
Your eyes opened, throat tight, guilt curling low in your stomach.
Because you hadn’t stopped loving her. Not really. Not even through the worst of it. The silence. The distance. The ache of not being chosen.
She was trying again.
And a part of you still wanted to believe in the version of her who once said I regret everything except loving you.
But then there was go4goald2.
Someone who didn’t carry your history like a weight. Someone who made you feel seen in real-time, even if they didn’t know what your voice sounded like out loud.
You sat up slowly, wiped the sleep from your eyes, and looked at your phone.
You still wanted to meet them.
Maybe not to fall in love. Maybe not to escape.
But to say thank you.
For holding space when you couldn’t hold yourself. For reminding you what it felt like to laugh without fear. For showing you that there was still a version of you left worth loving.
You didn’t know what would happen tomorrow.
But you knew one thing, at least.
You weren’t choosing between love and loneliness anymore.
You were choosing between two kinds of hope.
You woke up before your alarm.
Didn’t check your phone. Didn’t need to. Today was already sitting in your chest like static, too loud, too charged, too much. You made coffee with hands that wouldn’t stop shaking. Brushed your teeth twice. Put on a playlist and turned it off before the first chorus.
Tofu stayed close, like he could sense the storm under your skin. He followed you from room to room, tail wagging, expression confused. You kept petting him like that would settle something. Like you could tether yourself to the day through his fur alone.
You showered. Washed your hair. Put on your favorite jeans, the ones Alexia used to tease you about for being “aggressively soft”, then changed into different ones. Stood in front of your closet like maybe it would whisper instructions. Settled on something neutral. Safe.
Breakfast was two bites of toast and a glass of water you forgot to finish.
You didn’t let yourself think about what the meeting would feel like. You just kept your head down. Focused on the little things. Zipping the jacket. Filling Tofu’s travel bowl. Making sure your phone was charged. Reapplying lip balm for the third time, like it might protect you from whatever this was turning into.
You clipped on Tofu’s leash. Reached for the doorknob. Exhaled.
Then you heard it.
The key.
Turning in the lock.
You froze, heart jamming sideways in your chest.
The door opened slowly, hesitant, like the person on the other side didn’t know if they were still welcome.
And then you saw her.
Alexia.
But not composed, camera-ready Alexia. Not the confident girl you used to trail behind like sunlight. This version looked destroyed. Her hair was half-tied, frizzed at the edges, cheeks blotchy from dried tears. There were shadows under her eyes that hadn't been there before. Her hoodie was stained, clinging to her shoulders like it couldn’t decide whether to hang on or fall off. The duffel on her back was lopsided. Her laces were untied. And she was breathing like she’d run every step from the airport to your door.
You blinked. You weren’t sure if you were hallucinating.
“You’re back early.”
She didn’t smile. Didn’t say anything soft. Just stood there, swaying slightly.
“I wanted to surprise you,” she said, like it physically hurt to speak.
Your hand clenched tighter around Tofu’s leash.
She looked down. Saw the bag. The keys. The phone still lit in your other hand, half a sentence still unsent.
You didn’t mean to say it. But it slipped out, sharp and trembling.
“I’m meeting someone.”
She blinked. Like it stunned her. Like she hadn’t let herself believe it was real until now.
“You don’t have to go.”
You stared at her. “You don’t even know who it is.”
“I think I do.”
You stepped back. Confused. “What?”
Alexia reached into her hoodie, pulled out her phone with shaking hands, tapped something. Then she stopped and looked at you, not as a wife. Not as a lover. As something closer to a stranger asking for a chance.
Your phone buzzed.
Chattr.
One new message.
[go4goald2]: Just say the word. I’ll be there.
Your stomach dropped.
You didn’t look up right away. Couldn’t.
You stared at the message, willing it to be a joke, a glitch, anything but what it was.
Then you looked at her.
And the look on her face told you everything.
“It’s you,” you breathed. Not a question, but a realization clawing its way out of your throat.
Alexia didn’t nod. Didn’t move. She just stood there like her bones couldn’t take the weight of it either.
“It’s always been me,” she whispered.
And then everything inside you, every cell, every thread, recoiled.
“No.” You backed up further, voice rising. “No, that’s not.. It can’t be.”
“I didn’t lie,” she said quickly. “I just didn’t say”
“Didn’t say?” you cut in, a half-laugh cracking out of your throat.
“You tricked me, Alexia. You let me think someone else cared about me.”
“I did care about you,” she said, voice breaking. “Every word was real. I didn’t know how else to talk to you without hurting you again.”
“So you catfished your wife?”
She flinched. “It wasn’t like that.”
“Then what was it?” You threw your arms up. “What?! some twisted experiment? You wanted to see if I’d fall in love with you blindfolded?”
“No!” She stepped forward, and for once, she looked scared. “I just... I missed your voice. I missed being someone you trusted. And I knew if I showed up as me, you’d never let me in.”
“You’re right,” you said, and your voice was colder than you’d ever heard it. “Because I trusted you. And you used it.”
She was crying now, full-body crying, not bothering to hide it. “I thought maybe if I gave you space to choose me without the pain, we could start over.”
“But you didn’t give me space,” you said. “You gave me a lie.”
The words hit her like a blow. Her knees almost buckled under the weight of them.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“And yet,” you snapped, “here we are.”
You looked down at Tofu, who was watching both of you with ears pinned back, tail thumping slow and uncertain.
Your throat was tight. Like grief trying to turn into fire.
“I opened up to you,” you whispered. “Whoever you were. I told you things I never got to say to you. And you just... stood there. Letting me think I’d found someone new.”
“I was someone new,” she said, barely audible. “Someone trying. Someone who never stopped loving you.”
You shook your head. Everything inside you was loud now. Blistering.
“I don’t know what the hell I feel right now,” you said, and you meant it. “But I know I can’t feel it here.”
You crouched down, unclipped the leash.
“Tofu, stay,” you murmured, your voice trembling.
He whined, tail sweeping the floor once before going still.
You straightened and looked at Alexia. Not angry, not bitter, just… Tired. Worn through at the edges.
“I’m leaving you,” you said, steady now. “But not alone.”
She blinked. Confused.
You gestured toward the dog, your throat thick. “Because I don’t ever want anyone to feel the way you made me feel.”
You walked to the door, opened it, and left.
Not because you stopped caring.
But because for the first time in months, you needed her to feel what it meant to be left standing in the wreckage alone.
Tofu stayed by the door.
Still. Watching.
Like even he understood that this type of forgiveness doesn’t come with words.
It has to be earned. Step by brutal step.

9:00 PM
The apartment is quiet except for the ticking of the clock on the wall. You’re sitting on the couch, your fingers nervously twisting the hem of your sweater. Jay stands a few feet away, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable. His idol schedule has been relentless, and tonight’s conversation feels like it’s been building for months.
“I can’t do this anymore, Jay,” you say, your voice trembling. “I’ve tried, but it’s too much. You’re always gone, and when you’re here, it’s like you’re not really present.”
Jay’s eyes widen, and for a moment, he looks like he’s been punched in the gut. But then his expression hardens. “You think I don’t know how hard this is? I’m doing my best, but this is my dream. You knew what you were getting into.”
You flinch at his tone, the weight of his words pressing against your chest. “I knew it would be hard,” you admit. “But I didn’t know it would feel like this—like I’m always in the way.”
His brow furrows. “In the way? You’re not—how could you even think that?”
You press your lips together, trying to keep the tears at bay. “Jay, I’ve thought about this for a long time. I feel like I’m holding you back. Like you’re constantly torn between me and your career. And it’s not fair—to either of us.”
“You’re not holding me back,” Jay protests, his voice rising. “If anything, you keep me grounded. Don’t you see that?”
You shake your head, tears welling up in your eyes. “You’re always running from one thing to the next, trying to juggle everything, and I’m just… here. Waiting. I can’t keep doing this.”
-
9:30 PM
The argument escalates, the words spilling out faster than either of you can control. Jay’s frustration and confusion clash with your resolve, the tension thick enough to suffocate.
“Do you think this is easy for me?” Jay snaps, pacing the room. “Do you think I don’t miss you every second I’m not here? I hate being away from you, but I’m trying to make this work.”
“I know you are,” you say, your voice breaking. “And that’s the problem. You’re trying so hard to balance everything, and I can see how much it’s taking out of you. You deserve to focus on your dreams without feeling guilty about me.”
Jay stops pacing and looks at you, his expression crumbling. “You’re not a burden, okay? You’re not in the way. You’re—”
“Please don’t,” you interrupt, your heart aching. “I’ve thought this through, Jay. This isn’t a decision I’m making lightly. I love you, but I can’t keep feeling like I’m holding you back.”
-
9:45 PM
The apartment feels colder now, the weight of your words hanging in the air. Jay sits on the edge of the couch, his head in his hands. You stand a few feet away, unsure of what else to say.
“Is there nothing I can do to change your mind?” he asks quietly, his voice trembling.
You hesitate, your resolve wavering for a brief moment. But then you remember the sleepless nights, the constant worry, the ache of loneliness. “No,” you whisper. “This is what’s best for both of us.”
Jay looks up at you, his eyes glassy with unshed tears. “I don’t believe that.”
-
10:00 PM
You start packing your things. The apartment feels suffocating now, memories of happier times clinging to every corner. Jay watches in silence, leaning against the doorframe of the bedroom as you gather your belongings.
“Don’t do this,” he finally says, his voice quieter now. “Please.”
You pause, your hands gripping the edge of your suitcase. For a moment, you almost give in. Almost. But then you remember the countless nights you spent alone, wondering if you’d ever be a priority.
“I have to,” you whisper, zipping up the suitcase. “I’m sorry.”
-
10:30 PM
The apartment feels emptier now, your belongings packed neatly by the door. Jay sits on the couch, staring blankly at the coffee table. You sit across from him, the silence stretching unbearably.
“I never wanted it to come to this,” you say softly. “But I can’t ignore how I feel. And I can’t ignore how much this is hurting us.”
Jay looks up, his eyes pleading. “It doesn’t have to be this way. We can figure it out. I’ll make more time. I’ll—”
“You’ve said that before,” you interrupt gently. “And I know you mean it, but it’s not that simple. Your career is demanding, and it’s not going to change. I don’t want to be the reason you feel torn.”
“You’re not—”
“I am,” you say firmly. “And that’s why I’m leaving.”
11:00 PM The clock strikes eleven as you stand by the door, your suitcase by your side. Jay’s expression is unreadable, but there’s a tension in his posture that makes your chest ache.
“I’ll always love you,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
You swallow hard, fighting back tears. “I love you too. But sometimes, love isn’t enough.”
With that, you turn and walk out the door.
-
11:15 PM
The streets are quiet as you make your way to the bus stop. The air is cool, and the city lights blur through your tears. You glance at your phone, wondering if Jay will text or call. But the screen remains dark.
-
11:30 PM
Back in the apartment, Jay paces the living room, running his hands through his hair. He replays the argument in his head, the words you said cutting deeper than he thought possible.
“Damn it,” he mutters, grabbing his phone. He hesitates for a moment before dialing your number. It rings once, twice, but you don’t pick up.
Panic sets in. He grabs his jacket and rushes out the door, his heart pounding as he takes the stairs two at a time.
-
11:45 PM
You sit on the bench at the bus stop, your suitcase by your side. The bus is late, and you find yourself wondering if you made the right decision. But before you can spiral too far, the bus pulls up, its brakes hissing as it comes to a stop.
You climb aboard, your heart heavy as you take a seat by the window. As the bus pulls away, you glance back at the street, half-expecting to see Jay running after you. But it’s empty.
-
11:55 PM
Jay reaches the bus stop, his breath coming in ragged gasps. His eyes scan the area desperately, but you’re not there. He checks his phone again, hoping for a message, but there’s nothing.
He’s too late.
-
12:00 Midnight
The bus weaves through the city, the lights outside blurring into streaks of color. You lean your head against the window, tears slipping silently down your cheeks.
Back at the stop, Jay stands alone, his hands on his knees as he tries to catch his breath. The realization hits him like a freight train—he let you go. He let his pride, his career, and his fear get in the way of what truly mattered.
And now, time has run out.
