I love the wing au!
It’s got me wondering, what would a trooper do if they were missing a wing? Like if it was amputated due to injury, would there be prosthetic wings? Or would they have to stay with only one wing?
Good question! I think it would depend a lot on the type of wings a trooper has and how that kind of asymmetric weight distribution would effect them. If you have feathered wings and you lose one, theres probably no way to replace that in a way that will let you fly again but you might want to rebalance your weight distribution if you're struggling to figure out how to adjust to having one wing.
If you have extremely large or long feathered wings you will probably have more complicated time adjusting to just having one and relearning how to distribute your weight - Your remaining wing would probably need to be secured in a way that kept the wingtips off the floor but didnt let you stretch to full wingspan on instinct, because you would probably topple straight over without counterbalance, at least for a while. Maybe some prosthetics can be rigged with a joint that opens and closes to match your other wing when you stretch it to full wingspan, i feel like thats definitely within the abilities of star wars tech.
For smaller & lighter wings its probably similar but easier to manage with less compensating to do, but i reckon your remaining wing would be doing a LOT of compensating for stability and would end up hurting from being held in slightly strained positions.
For insect wings, you probably wont be able to fly any more but i dont think it would knock you off balance as much because theyre so light - probably much easier to get a prosthetic that looks similar to your lost wing/s because the materials are lightweight.
If you have bat wings you can wear the remaining one like a cool cloak
In any case it would probably end up being a toss up between preference and practicality on an individual basis, though prosthetics that allow you to fly again are probably not feasable if you're a clone trooper [complex, expensive].

Heh.... guess whos back to yap even more.... (its glitchduo anon) if this is too long and you dont want to reply thats totally cool however i saw you were interested in ashs character and i just HAD to assist...
(Everything neg here is about the characters not ccs btw, most of it is /aff anyways :3)
Ok so im assuming you know the general gist of s4 which is kind of all i know about it aside from like one or two vods ive fully watched. You also probably know about swagdoons which are the enemies to lovers (sometimes) of lifesteal and they try to kill each other but kiss afterwards..... they are the yaoi ever but ill try to be less insane about them to keep this rant focused
most of my REAL info about ash is from mid s5 and s6 which is when i started watching streams more than the videos, however i know he tries to portray himself as the big scary villain in s4 but honest to god he was apologizing PROFUSELY for the smallest things that guy is NAWT a truly heartless villain although he is pretty selfish and greedy but. Well:
before getting into his character i thought he like fully hated everyone, would never try to help someone else, was a general asshole etc etc but the more i paid attention to him the more i realized that yeah i guess he is those things but there is at least one person he gives a shit about (squiddo) and by god does he care a LOT about her
he also is pretty pathetic actually.... when his peace thing in s5 didnt work out he immediately went back to trying to be evil and selfish in s6... hmm its almost like he reverts back to hating everyone before they think hes a loser hmmm... its also really funny because this guy can BARELY pvp so he's very all or nothing on his dramatic gestures (eg he cant take over the server with pvp so he does it with the wormhole which imo is 500% more impressive, although i dont know very much about pvp)
despite him being pathetic he is def a force to be reckoned with, hes very idle until provoked and the provokation is usually out of spite and malice but that guy will stop at Nothing to get what he wants once he has a good enough motive (and doesnt have collage work)
he also gives me false god vibes but like... hes sort of AWARE hes a false god but does not want to admit it At All. i think its really interesting that the season after he became god he was made a host for a god (he actually confirms hes possesed by the commisioner/overseer/lifesteallord when he talks as them btw absolutely wild) and i think it would be cool if that was intentionally to like. Humble him. Show him a real god, not just an immortal guy with flying powers
(This is a little more of a headcanon but i think its feasable) i think that since his s5 loss, being his first major loss in any season ever, hes lost a sense of self in lifesteal, sitting in his house thats too big with empty walls and emptier reasoning. not to mention hes teamless and his only ally/friend is squiddo and thats not even official 😭😭
so yeah my guy is Going Through It... someone get this man hot chocolate and a warm blanket or maybe a picnic with his Best and Only Friend 🙁🙁
(Oh yea if you want a general idea of s5 onwards and dont have time for streams or really long cinematic videos i would recommend squiddos videos on it, theyre rarely over 15-20 minutes and there are only seven right now so you can get through them in a few days if you're REALLY crunched for time ^_^)
hello again glitchduo anon!! giggles i kind of know some general lore?? but mostly out of things i see on here about it, or like clips/vods i'm able to watch when i have time? so yeah... ash's character is very interesting to me, and honestly, what you said about him aligned pretty well with what i did see of him, but like... not in lifesteal, but the character he played in spoke's unstable videos. bro was literally begging for attention and alliance, and then turned around and BOOM twist villain jumpscare he's actually evil... he was acting off the whole time (ignoring mapicc, probably because he knew mapicc was harder to manipulate, and being very obnoxious about getting close to spoke in particular), so that checked out (sorry, i can yap about unstable for so long, im so insane about it) but yeah, i really really enjoy watching him do his thing, and i want to study him in a lab like a weird microorganism or something definitely was getting the false god vibes too btw from i did see of him in lifesteal (which was mostly just other people's vods) actually the whole being host of a god sounds so interesting?? that's definitely the first time i heard about something like this and i love everything having to do with possessions and stuff like that definitely one of the top characters i actually want to know more about (second close is minutetech i'd say) and don't worry, i really like reading what you send in, it actually helps a lot and it's very interesting!! the moment i opened my inbox and saw a lot of text i was like "oh yeah i know who this is from" (/hj/aff btw) thank you for taking the time to give me more knowledge i guess :33 !!

Some spoiler-y obervations on today's SNW episode, "Hegemony":
I'm really glad we got to see an adult Gorn that looks more humanoid. When Sam found those anomalous human readings I was really concerned they'd go with a "TOS Gorn a weird Human-Gorn hybrids" thing.
ERICA GOT TO SAY MULTIPLE SENTENCES IM SO HAPPY
I was 100% sure Batel was gonna die when she made a log entry at the start :D Pleasently surprised by how that went
I kinda wish the Gorn weren't such a drawn-out plot with SNW. The feeling I'm getting is that they're just doing "Arena" but with eight episodes scattered over three seasons and I don't really see how that's gonna be better than "Arena". For what it's worth I'd love to get a closer look at how Gorn society in SNW actually works, like how did y'all build those spaceships if you keep cannibalising everyone. And to this episode's credit they did tease in that direction.
Definitely more on board with Scotty by the end of the episode than at the start. I really hope we can keep Carol Kane next season and have her mentor Scotty. I like what SNW has done with Spock, Uhura, Chapel and M'Benga; so I'm optimistic about Scotty, but my first instinct whenever a new major TOS character appears is generally to groan.
How exactly does a demarcation line within a solar system? Like, I'm no physicist, but don't planets usually rotate around stars? Wouldn't that shift planets in and out of Gorn/Federation territory depending on the time of year? Incidentally, there's a Trek novel (by Peter David of course) that explores that exact situation, where a planet is in (IIRC) Tholian territory for two days every year.
Pike's voice when he says "Spock" after seeing the destroyed Caygua is just TT
Seeing Pike interrupt Battel's mission here with a subspace phone call, I wish we'd see that more often the other way around. "Sorry honey, can't talk right now I have to make the pirates revolt against their captain, I'll call you back later okay?"
Love the music cues reminiscent of TOS. And I'm glad in general that the post-Berman Trek shows got to recover from the "sonic wallpaper" directive.
The Starfleet delta pattern on the space suits is really distracting. Like, I know I'm supposed to look at how they're hand-holding but wow, that is a lot of deltas!
It kinda rubs me the wrong way that Spock and Chapel killed the Gorn on the Cuyaga, just when the planetside story gets all about how maybe we can talk with the Gorn. Probably doesn't help that the Gorn took like ten seconds to suffocate and seemed to be in excruciating pain throughout. Like, c'mon Chapel, shoot him already, it's be more merciful.
I think SNW is actually quite clever with connecting its Gorn continuity to that of TOS. The SNW Gorn ships like very different from the TOS ones, which is great because in "Arena" no one recognizes the new ship. The Gorn are only revealed as the perpetrators in conversation with the Metrons, so I think it's feasable that Kirk just doesn't know of them (as long as his relationship with La'an doesn't get any further) and the rest of the crew didn't want to interrupt during the conversation with the seemingly very powerful Metrons. After Kirk is teleported by the Metrons Uhura screams, because 60s show (she should be used to teleportation right, being in Starfleet), but the SNW retcon that she knows of the Gorn and their horrors really gives that moment new depth and makes it less silly.

Just had a thought about how Higher Beings (Hollow Knight) could very feasably be Ahamkara (Destiny) that made themselves into deity figures to 'farm' wants and desires out of lesser beings instead of simply slinking around the galaxy feeding off of the wishes and whims of anything that crosses paths with them. I'm probably not gonna do anything with it, but...hm
(A world full of bugge can also very feasably be a hidden alien planet that the Witness and the Traveler didn't get to yet, particularily if its the birthplace of shape-shifting immensely powerful paracausal beings)

Rambling about what DD2 Arisen Classes could feasibly be wielded by mortals and pawns (Because its fun)
Whilst gameplay wise I know they're for allowing you to have uniwue playstyles, some of the vocations I genuinely feel are entirely feesable for even pawns to wield. Yes this is entirely because I saw how Fe'gahl would play out as Magick Archer and realised just how well it suit him and sad I can't make him one-
Magick Archer: Feasable, yet difficult to master
Magick Archer plays out gameplay wise very simply, with nothing in it really hinting as to why the Arisen is the only one who could wield it. If anything, it would be a difficult vocation to learn because of the wide array of skillsets you would need, being that of Mage, Sorcerer and Archer. Since it mixes both varied attack magick of Sorcerer, the recovery of Mage and the general athletisism skillset of Archer - to really get good at this vocation you would need a general understanding of these base vocations.
Meaning that whilst this is entirely a class one could be, it would be pretty rare to see because it require versitility rather than pure focus - unlike Warrior or Thief or the other basic vocations.
Martyrs Bolt does not seem to require link to being Arisen to use! At least from what I looked at when studying the animation. Now its possible that this Maister skill is very Arisen dependant because it drains your health - and mortals using it could risk health conditons. Otherwise, this is just an extreme high risk high reward Maister skill that requires some grit to use.
Would a pawn use it? I wouldn't see why a pawn couldn't be it. I definetly think a Bestowal of Spirit Pawn could easily be a Magick Archer.
Trickster: Feasable yet elusive
I'm gonna be so fr I'm actually a lil dissapointed you didn't meet other Tricksters in the greater world. To me it seems like the Arisen class that would be more common to see on people than the rest, but definitely a vocation least (if at all) used by pawns for how stragetic it is. In essence, the magick used for conjourings is very specific and would need a specific principal and guide to wield - but it also doesn't seem to need the variety that a Magick Archer would.
Dragon's Delusion definetly doesn't need any Arisen aspect to use - maybe needing to know what a Drake looks like at best. It's pretty much just a large vocal simulacrum that the wielder uses and seems to be the one that could have monster variety for other wielders.
This genuinely seems like the vocation that would have a small community of wielders and I'm forever sad it's only Luz who is one...
Mystic Spearhand: Unique but could be passed on
Now, Sigurd made this style specifically to hunt the Dragon, so it's unique to him. It requires tactics, mobility and a mastery of a very precise magick to weild its techniques - which definetly makes this a very difficult one to master. But, I think this one still can be used.
The base weapon can definetly be wielded without needing any magick expertise or ability - like Menella who uses the weapon but only its physical attacks - so whilst proper mastery of Spearhand would require magick - unlike the the other two it can still be wielded. The magick is very specific and would require a well trained honing to use it as more of a force than element of nature, like Unto Heaven and Seching Storm. It probably would need another base knowledge of things like Fighter, Mage - but less for their skills and more for adaptability.
Wild Furie also doesn't seem to use Arisen abilities to wield. However, it would heavily require mastery over the magick for Spearhand to make a perfect clone of yourself that fights whilst you do. It drains stamina harshly because of the pure focus and energy it takes to deliver the combo.
Whilst difficult, and exlusive to Sigurd, if he taught it to others really I think there would be a master and apprentice sort of thing.
Warfarer: Not even a question. No
Really what makes warfarer... it is the Maister skill to immediatly materialise weapons using the Arisen's Scar, which immediately makes this out of the question.
Warfarer without this skill is basically just unrestricted vocation, the vocation, and anyone could do it just by removing the vocation system. Defintely Arisen exlusive, maybe even Current Arisen exlusive since Lammond himself doesn't even use it during escorts (could be a gameplay thing but interesting to think it requires a current link in the chain)
Feel free to add if you want! I've had this rattling in my head because really some are entirely feasible that they're just rare and I'm forever sad pawns will still not get to be more advanced vocations 😔

hrmmmmmm dreaming up some concepts for a Thing i wanna do exploring rantaro's killing game (i say Thing bc i WANT it to be a fangams but UUUHHHHH is that feasable? sources say probably not)
what ill sya is korekiyo's sister was in this game (HEAR ME OUT) and theee was tbat secrets motive from the first game. ofc hers is the whole.... thing..... with her brother, and rantaro's secret is similarly juicy (not telling u bcos ud NEVER believe me)
BUT!! the sister. we'll call her miyo bc they have matchy names. she met up w rantaro and went "ok we're borh pragmatic. i tell you my secret and ypu tell me yours. that way since we got ir off oue chests, we won't look so visibly nervous in front od the others." she guesses by how nervous rantaro was that his secret was on the same level of life ruiningly awful as hers was (it is.)
and it worked, neither of their secrefs got out
and team danganronpa was PIIIIIIIIIISSSSED
so in the 53rd season they ofc got dear sweet (very much alive and watchinf all this on tv) miyo's brother whom she xares about so much and wrote his memories in such a way that the incest thing ends up revealed ANYWAY despite miyo's best efforts to hide it, and its revealed in a way that makes him grossly unsympathetic to twist the knife. just bc shirogane was pissed that miyo and rantaro were smart enough to not get their secrets revealed even tho theirs were the juiciest ones
shes still bummed that rantaro didnt last long enough for her to do it to him too :P

Hey i have a idea of what kind of "punishment" could fall on Koko in Mabu Timeline.
He's not especially violent (unlike Mikey and Sanzu), has not kill anyone (unlike Mikey and Sanzu), maybe he has beaten few peoples but he seems to stay in the background during fights. He was mostly the money maker.
So maybe his punishment could be probation rather than juivie.
yeah, probabtion could be since usuaally he's not involved in violent crimes, even if we know he can fight if it's needed, but he's there for his brain
but if we consider that he was probably the mind, or played a big part in the gang organizations and its criminal activities, he played a big role, so maybe a few months in juvie and the rest in probation/house arrest could be feasable

Anyone wanna see the chaotic notes i made while thinking of a temeraire & the terror crossover? As in what would the terror characters lives be like if they lived in post canon temeraire world?
Well here they are:
- Sipho publishes his book about the tswana in 1838, the jcr expedition starts in 1839 i think??? -> sipho could go to Antarctica (its like the only continent he hasnt been to, good chance he has gone to north america at some point between 1813-39)
- I think demane is the same age as frmc, emily a year older and sipho 3 years younger - i get weirdly emotional about this
- The opium wars probably dont happen - china is stronger, britain already has a pretty good trade deal (?), temeraire would work against it, they are friendlier with each other in general and i dont want it to happen
- So what about jfjs scars? I see 3 possibilities: A - all is well, he just doesnt get shot. B - boring, he gets shot in some other war elsewhere. C - china anyway, he somehow gets shot in china during peacetime, because.
- Dont think its feasable to do long polar expeditions with dragons, cant bring enough food for it to be safe, needs big structure to stay warm in winter
- Long distance fliers like shen lung might do survey flights tho, get a sense of where there is water etc
- Possibly could also look for missing expeditions - not able to rescue (or? How big are they? Guess they can carry a few humans but not an entire ships crew, could maybe deliver some supplies?), but could point rescuers in the right direction
- This would be if china wants to (or other nation with similarly specialized dragons)
- Sea serpents?!?!
- Like i kinda doubt the usefulness of nwp when dragons can fly across the us and serpents can swim with goods
- Maybe route for serpents, but probably too cold?? Or not? At least for a special kind?
- Could there be some local creatures in a bunyip kind of way?
- Easiest story set up would likely be that everyone goes south instead?
- The expedition library definitely includes all volumes of A true account of my travels with temeraire and laurence in 1809-1813 by henry(?) o’dea
- If they go south and sipho is with them the question arises: is rankin still in australia? And will he show up to be an asshole?
- Sipho thinks l&t worry more than nessecary - he is an adult, he is older than laurence was when went and did the treason or when he got lost in japan etc
- The navigation aspect of magnetic research is one of the science things laurence finds genuinely intresting, because navigation
- How would society in europe have changed after 3 decades of dragon integration? I think it would make sense for womens rights movement to have accelerated (f dragons can vote etc). But what other discussions would the changes result in?
- Some things would probably be different but not better, because while dragons cut through nonsense they also have priorites that dont nessecarily fit with humans. Also temeraire and likely other early political dragons have an officers perspective on society
- Does jfj have any memories of Rio?? Probably not, but it would be awesome if he did because that must have been a very interesting place in the mid 1810s

A little note about MuMu now I look at it again. It seems like, in order for the reinforcement to copy an op, you need to activate its 'skill' first. Then, all ops cost becomes 0 and you can put them on the reinforcement and it will copy the op. The op isn't actually deployed so no DP cost is wasted nor is any redeployment timer started.
I think she can be a worthy addition to the current Vanguard Meta. The general idea now is that you deploy Flagpipe to deploy your ops fast so you can have, let's say, a Mudrock at the gate as soon as possible. But in some situations, a non-blocking Vanguard squad on the map simply isn't feasable due to enemy pathing or map design or other conditions. In those cases, you can plop down MuMu with a water clone that already has the stats of Mudrock to hold down the enemies until the real Mudrock can be deployed.
The MuMu in the showcase has a DP Cost of 12, but I'm not sure if that MuMu has pots. Then again, her talent probably lowers her own DP cost too.

I think I’m just going to vent a lil below. Feel free to ignore
I honestly do not feel confident in my writing as of late.
I feel like I need to take a step back and actually figure her out again because I just... don’t know what I’m doing here.
I feel like adding Des as a muse was a mistake, I feel like I’ve blown things way out of proportion for her and she’s lost what made her special or unique. I feel like I’ve fucked her up i na way that has made her too powerful, she’s grown too large for me to handle and I know and I feel like I’m power playing way too much with her.
I really honestly just, eithe want someone to put missi in her place and beat her, or challenge her? Or actually force her to adapt and change. On one hand I’m psyched for it
on the other I know because of missi’s verse and how it’s established she has connections with powerful people it might make people not want tochallenge her. I mean her main verse has Ozzie, prince of hell, as her lover so to hurt Missi it would put them on Ozzie’s shitlist which i can obviously see why people wouldn’t want to challenge that. Not to mention Des is an extremely powerful entity as well, that canonically not even God or Lucifer cna kill so HE IS THE DEFINITION OF GOD-MODDING
It’s honestly why I love what we got oging with Strikers-saloon because Missi was shown to be significantly harmed by it, he had an impact on her and while it sucks we can’t write as much I love the fighting and antagonism they have for one another. I know I fall into this trap a lot of not wanting muses to fight, not having significant stuff doing down because of the impact it might have ni the greater scope of plot.
I just, am not really sure what to do now. I put Des as an antagnoist to Missi becuase well, he is, but it’s also not really that fun to just have to RP with yourself with these things. So I’m not. Sure, what to do which is why my posts and rps have been lack luster and losing focus even more.
I’m worried im just, i’ve met my end, ive made my muse get to a point she can’t reasonably be challenged by any other muse because of her connections and while I wouldnt want to erase the established relationships i have with missi, it also just kinda sucks? IDK. Because Miss ias a character wouldn’t try to pull any punches. Hell I tried to makea reason why missi wouldnt tell people what happened to her with striker that was somewhat believable but now even that i worry might go off the handle
I have no idea if this makes any sense. I just. Wish I could return? Not even return, but just have missi be substantially challenged and be forced to have developement one way or another that doesn’t involve me RPing with myself or putting so much pressure on one partner. Because I feel awful putting pressure on people, I already worry i put way too much with Toxic because of how tight missi and duke are in her main verse so im just.. idk. I just want to have fun and develop my character but realistically i know its not feasable for a lo tof people to be able to do that either.
i know i sound entitled “wow look at me ihave all these good stuff but i want more” or “i want something different >:[” but. IDK. I should probably stop rambling and go to sleep thx for reading if ur here? uh. i hope you have a good day

Hey if you family raised Flabebe into Florges:
Did you need Shiny Stones for the evolution? If so were they one time use? Or could you use them multiple times (how many times)?
If they were one time use where did you get your supply from? Were there Shiny Stones deposits on Hortênsia? If not Hortênsia was there any on other Vulgrado islands?
Yep! Florges need shiny stones to evolve, no matter what region they're from. There are ways to evolve stone evolutions without the actual stone, but that requires exposing them to incredibly high amounts of infinity energy and typed energy of the correct types, and very few places or things have the right conditions other than evolution stones.
i mean pokemon that are stone evolutions, have been known to evolve in rare circumstances while legendaries run wild (a LOTTA eevees evolved during stuff like the weather crisis in hoenn. kyogre has enough power to act like an infinite moving water stone, i guess.) but uh. thats not really feasable? so shiny stones are your best bet!
they're pretty common on hortensia, which is why most of the florges breeders in vulgrado live here (i say most as if theres not like only 3 notable ones) but a few other close by islands also have quite a few. its part of why pirates could spare the extra shiny stones while pirating around the coasts of the vulgradian islands. there was just so many of them that it was more effective to have a florges than hoarde and sell them.
as for single usage or not, evolution stones are technically able to be used infinitely HOWEVER they typically only have one usage at a time (maybe more if theyre larger) and take years upon years to slowly absorb the correct amounts of energy to be used again. you'll probably only ever be able to use a stone once or twice within your lifetime, maybe three if you live in an area filled with a lot of energy. places like geosenge in kalos has tons of infinity energy just laying around, so theres a lot of evolution stones.
its actually theorized that mega stones are just evolution stones that have been transformed by extremely high amounts of infinity energy and aura, but the high amounts needed to simulate it would essentially just be making a second ultimate weapon since thats the cause of most of the worlds mega stones and why the vast majority are found in kalos

Going to post a couple of speculative evolution things i wrote on reddit
Because I'm proud of them
endoparasitic dragons
Hear me out, these dragons evolve from slugs of some kind rather than lizards though. Because I heard that insects can only grow to a certain size due to issues with shedding an exoskeleton, and we don't want size limits on our dragons lol
My solution to the fire breathing conundrum is that dragons evolved from something that couldn't rely on their claws or biting skills, since those ways of causing damage are more efficient than spraying stuff. They NEEDED some kind of chemical damage. Evolving their signature breath led them to be very successful, because they couldn't move their limbs while being stuck in flesh, they could still use their chemical breath.
I think they would parasite something else that isn't able to scratch them out. Probably a fish or a whale or something. It would also make their chemical breath more plausible, because wounds inflicted by chemicals are less likely to bleed than wounds inflicted by clawing or biting as they result in blisters and swelling. In the ocean, that would mean a lot because blood attracts predators very easily.
Their wings wouldn't start out as wings- they would be a carapace that would act as a bandage for the wound they produced to both stop the host from scratching them out, and also to prevent further damage to the host such as infection or having predators attack the spot where the dragons nested when they sense it as a weak spot.
That's how a proto dragon might evolve, if you ask me.
(actually) flying geckos
I had an idea for a gecko that flies via a rotating tail. The way how it works is that the gecko semi-detaches its tail like an internal decapitation and uses specialized internal muscle structure to spin it around fast.
It can't fly at will though, probably only for mass migrations or for travelling to find a mate, depending on the season. Plus there's a certain amount of time the tail remains alive before shrivelling, falling off and dying, so the gecko has to act fast. It probably evolved from a gecko that would spin its tail before dropping it as a way to deter predators. There's a thing where multiple tails can grow from one gecko if the tail isn't dropped properly, so maybe that's where the multiple propellers thing came from.
Although, I think it's also feasable for a gecko to develop flight via the front limbs becoming wings. It would look like a bat though. There are already geckos with flaps of skin for gliding, and they live high in the trees, so this gecko can fly and stick to walls like an insect which imo is super useful, and their unique wall climbing skills could give them a niche above other competitors.
