The Ao3 comments section has spoken and it is time for a small preview of the next chapter of “You’re Calling Me Home Like A Ship That Got Wrecked”

This was ridiculous. Still, the little part of himself that believed it was shoving at the walls to get out. “If Rex lied then he had a good reason. Maybe the truth would hurt more. I’ll never know for sure but I do know that he wouldn’t lie unless it was to protect me and you and I both know that. So don’t you dare try to make him out to be the bad guy!”

“And you’re the good one? Everyone around you drops like flies. How long do you think your new squad will last? Everyone who ever trusted you either dies or gets left behind. It’s better for them if you stay away. It would have been better for everyone if you had stayed away, better if you had died instead of becoming this.” Every single doubt he had ever had bubbled to the surface and threatened to choke him, tightening around his throat until he couldn’t see past the tears blurring his vision. Echo shook his head violently, squeezing his eyes shut as tight as he could manage, gritting his teeth.

I’m sorry in advance for this next chapter it, unfortunately, won’t be a very happy one. But at least we get to catch up with Echo! Right! That’s something at least!

So, chapter four is going to be a little and I don’t mean like a month, it’ll be sooner than that I’m sure, maybe two weeks or something. But you know without going into a bunch of details, I’m sick and some days I’m too tired to write if I’m honest.

Like I’ve said before I hilariously have ✨autism✨and with that 😃😃 I cannot see how things are going to turn out or the logical direction of things and so when I write it’s literally whatever is coming spouting out of me there is no planning anything so whilst chapter 4 is really coming along it’s still got a small ways to go because like you, I’m wondering what happens next

So anyway really this is just to say that chapter 4 is coming but I’m just too tired rn to work on it and I hope you understand. I will be putting out shorter things if possible while also still writing 4, so like there will still be content at least. Plus I promise little previews of 4

Because they don’t exactly have a stated species, I suppose they’re red eared sliders because of how those tend to be the default answer.

Raph deserves some teasing too, even if he doesn’t get as many nicknames as his brothers. Leo does not actually want to know when the next issue of that story comes out because Mikey was actually reading the season 3 finale and the arc after is Leo’s mental health taking a nosedive.
