hi everyone. <3 as the leon kennedy fluff truther, i'm making an advent for valentine's day because pookie deserves so much love! everyday, i'll be posting a fic ranging from nsfw/sfw fluff for babu leon, i'll be putting out the scenarios and snippets below if y'all are interested. author's note: i've been meaning to put this out like a week ago when i finally figured out the problem w my account as to why tumblr wasn't letting me reply to comments :( but sadly, college got me so head empty. anyway, i've already got 2 days worth of fics already finished so i hope y'all can give me a read. <3

FEBRUARY 8 𖹭 nice legs, daisy dukes. (vendetta!leon x fem!reader) Leon feels like a creep, fuck that. He definitely looks like a creep. Thirty-six year old in all of his 5'11 glory standing outside his girlfriend's college leant against his Ducati like a dick, carrying a box of those, instagrammable pastries you always like to look at. It doesn't hurt to be sweet. Not when you walk — run, at the sight of him in your preppy mini dress, highlighting those long, long legs. Nothing is sweeter, especially when it's wrapped around him.

FEBRUARY 9 𖹭 starry skies, blue eyes. (re4r!leon x fem!reader) Stars dot stygian skies, the night is young, the moon is high. Leon's heart soars with your every laughter. The way your eyes close and your nose scrunches. God he was so in love with you, he could forgive the fact that the tent should have been up hours ago before night. You swear you remember your knots from your wide-eyed Girl Scout days, and he swears these silly moments with you are what makes life bearable.

FEBRUARY 10 𖹭 cold woes. (re4r!leon x fem!reader) Leon S. Kennedy. The apple of his instructors' eyes (and yours), he's a top graduate in the Police Academy for fuck's sake. He's decimated hordes of zombies in his first day as a rookie cop. Endured military training in the middle of nowhere, he's saved the President's daughter. He doesn't get sick. Only that he does catch a cold at the expense of prioritizing you, his clumsy girlfriend, who forgot to wear a jacket on a camping trip, offering his warm clothes to you. He doesn't regret it, he likes taking care of you, but there's something adorable about your sheepish apologies as you wait on him. He could get used to being babied. FEBRUARY 11 𖹭 love on me. (di!leon x fem!reader) As much as Leon loves the sun, the beaches, the tropics. Oh what he would give to become a beach bum in his next life instead of being smacked by bioweapons day in, night out, and being a good bitch to good ol' U.S of A. Unfortunately, after the events of Alcatraz, maybe he's had enough of the sea for now. He gives himself a pat on the back, takes out a chunk of his savings to go to Japan because you've been eyeing it. You said you were interested in the food, culture, and sights. So why in the world were you dragging him to a love hotel? FEBRUARY 12 𖹭 fill up your cup. (re6!leon x fem!reader) He feels himself spiraling recently, turning to the bottle because a glass is never troubled by his woes. He breaks them of course, can't help it, seems like his life is doomed to him breaking in the end. Fragments of glass scatters on the floor, vodka spills on the floor splashes it around like his grief because his body can only take so much. You arrive as he tries to pick them up, attempts to pick himself up. You whisper assurance, he doesn't deserve it. The way you look at him ardently, the gentleness that is your existence. You empty out his pain, and fill it with love. FEBRUARY 13 𖹭 the thrill, the love. (damnation!leon x fem!reader) He wills his old Yamaha to go faster. Your dainty arms clinging to him, the softness of your touch as his speed breaks the sound barrier. What started as mere curiosity turns into rituals. Secrets that only the both of you know. He knocks on your door at midnight, drives you around town. He scolds you every time your arm breaks free, throwing them to the wind. You don't care, you love the thrill, you love him. Leon admits that there is something alluring to the thrill of the chase. Perhaps that's why he's spent his years chasing Ada, but with you it was different. FEBRUARY 14 𖹭 kiss it better. (di!leon x fem!reader) Leon is a man full of stories, his pain, his peace, his fears, his needs. There is more to him than just being a formidable weapon against bioterrorism. He never was a weapon, just a flesh and blood human, and in his mortality there are scars. Deep within him, and littered in his skin. You kiss the faded slash on his hand, he tells you how he'd got it from when Ashley Graham had tried to stab him under the influence of the plaga. You kiss it again, and what he doesn't tell you is the wave of warmth that washes his entire being, it tugs on his very soul. You kiss the scars because it's there, because it's him, and in his reverie, he thinks you truly are his person.

Since @fandomtrumpshate starts up again soon, I thought I would babble a bit about my experience last year! Specifically, let's chat about podficcing. A nice and arbitrary 9 reasons to do the thing below the cut!

Thing 1: It's so much fun! I am bouncing up and down at the prospect of doing it again. In fact, I am planning to offer a slot for any fandom this year rather than just ones I'm familiar with!

Thing 2: Nobody was bothered by how amateurish my readings are, how basic my recordings were, or by the extra whistle and sibilance and mouth sounds that sneaked in. Nobody was annoyed that I don't do accents or intense voicework/character voices. It's something I want to improve in the future, but it's really not necessary—reading a fanwork aloud is first and foremost about making it accessible in a new format. Anything else is just icing!

Thing 3: People who want their works read are going to be communicative! The folks I worked with last year were happy to go back and forth until we decided which works were the best fit for me, and they were happy to answer my questions about how to read/interpret certain lines, etc. It was so much fun to toss around idea with them (even if we didn't end up using them all)!

Thing 4: This is a zero-entry-cost hobby (assuming you already have a device of some sort to read fic in the first place). You don't need fancy equipment and software. You can get the job done with an inbuilt audio recording app on your phone, and if you're in a quiet and non-echoey place, it can sound just as good as something made with a dedicated mic and such. Don't let "but I don't have a recording space" hold you back! Sit in your favorite chair and put your phone by your face while you read me a story. That's really all you gotta do.

Thing 5: In direct contrast... it is a good excuse to dip a toe into gear and software. There are lots of fairly cheap suitable microphones, and Audacity is free. I recorded one short fic via three different methods just to troubleshoot for fun!

Thing 6: You don't have to get it right the first time! (Or second or third or...) I save outtakes (profanity warning!) for the creators whose work I read. Sometimes a cat walked in and told me a mournful tale at top volume. Sometimes the neighbors turned on a leaf blower. You can even get silly with it on purpose if you need to warm yourself up! I do a lot of yelling "this is so silly and I am so embarrassed!" into the mic before I try a serious read.

Thing 7: You get to spend so much time with a work and its characters! You're gonna read that thing so many times to make decisions and to alert yourself to what's coming next. You'll be able to recite it around a campfire and it'll feel cozy and familiar (or, you know, extra painful if it's heavily angsty).

Thing 8: If you play things back and tweak them as often as I did, it goes a long way toward getting past hating the sound of your own voice or feeling disconnected from recordings of yourself. I've always been so so shy and hesitant to speak aloud in real-life conversations. I won't claim that I'm completely over any of those things, but spending time getting familiar with what I sound like in an objective, task-oriented setting has helped me learn to listen for my own vocal cues when I'm feeling too overwhelmed to process other kinds of feedback. I'm much more aware of what my uncertainty sounds like, for example, and am better able to cover for it now.

Thing 9: If you're also a writer as I am, it helps you look at your own writing through a new lens! I have been known to write 50+-word sentences, but now I (sometimes) stop to consider the punctuation breaks. How readable is this paragraph? Where would I take a breath if I were reading? Where would the emphasis naturally end up and how do I change that of it's not what I wanted?

I think people who are Better At Things might not necessarily have all the same experiences I shared here, but personally, I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to doing it again!

Such a good episode! Not plot-heavy, just a silly episode. I'll gladly take it as my late birthday present. And it's great to have Swag back, kinda was half-expecting Chris to just pop out.

I've said this once and I'll say it again: I wouldn't mind if the rest of the year is just filled with goofy episodes. After all, we just came from WOTFI and we do need a bit of a break so the Team could work on the next arc. (From the looks of things, we might get goop!4 *cough cough*)

Loved the bits of animation and Mario's expressions as always.

Now, I know there is some talk about the SMG4 Crew/Mario Does Things being on hiatus and merging with the Saturday videos. If you can even call it that. Personally, I don't mind it. I completely understand if doing 2 episodes per week is a lot for the Team to handle, though I do wish they would give an explanation for it. I think the best solution would be for the Team making an announcement of the change, the reasons behind it, and how it may be different from the regular Saturday episodes. Also make it clear that "hey, the title says this so it doesn't impact the main storyline".

Anyway, it has been overall a pretty funny episode and I quite enjoyed it! Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna cry my eyes out watching the rest of Arcane Act 3 and bring that angst to the next episode concept :)

However, it seems a different romance has been brewing behind the scenes, revealing itself in the last episode of LOVE:TWISTED Season 3.

Kalim Al-Asim, known for his love of music, dancing, parties, and his fun, happy personality that brings joy to fans all over the globe, suddenly kissed fellow competitor and co-star Silver on screen during the episode's ending segment.

The kiss shocked the cast members, audience and Silver himself. Silver, who is known for his love of nature, his beautiful voice, and his awkward, serious but charming personality is notorious for his blank expressions.

Screenshots of Silver's reaction spread on social networks such as MagiCam, MyLog, and TweetTweet with hashtags: #KaliSil, #SilverLV:TWSTD, #KalimLV:TWSTD trending in Scarabia and Briar Valley for three days after. Fans have taken to making edits, memes, and art of the now iconic kiss scene.

Welp, after a long... loooooong road of S2 to sift through in HB, here's my official review of the "Sinsmas" finale to wrap things up (*no Christmas pun-intended lol*):

NOTE: My thoughts below will contain some obv spoilers so you miiiight wanna skip this post if you haven't watched "Sinsmas" yet; also like with all my past reviews these are just my personal opinions alone (+fair warning that I'll be getting a bit rant-y later too), so... do remember to keep things civil if you disagree with anything here (and if not, welp... yall are free to block & move on, I guess lol 🤷‍♀️), thank you 🙏🙏

Loona continuing to show more appreciation & excitement around her dad/I.M.P. is great to see, and about time we finally got her joining in on an assassination gig again (which I don't think we've had since S1's "Spring Broken"?). I like her new Hellhound friends shown towards the end too, they look chill~

As much as I've lowkey grown a bit... disinterested in M&M these past few episodes (not to a hate-level or anything but they just don't really... "spark" for me, OTP-wise?), it is nice to see a return to their bloodthirsty-based couple fluff (aka: their lil Sinsmas-based playfight at the beginning), bringing me back a bit to the og pilot days (ex. "Oh Millie" ❤️). -Buuuut dang, who would've thought things would escalate to Millie turning out pregnant?? .o. I know there's been some controversy for Millie's less-than-happy reaction about it towards the end; but honestly I absolutely don't blame the poor gal if you consider: 1) She's a proud fighter & trained assassin who's always been passionate about her current line of work, and (depending on how imp pregnancies work) having this potentially putting her out of a job for a long while would make anyone stressed out imho 2) Imps are considered the lowest-of-the-low ranked species within Hell as it is; with not a whole lot of access to good paying jobs + medical coverage (given Blitz's struggle to get Loona her vaccinations). Imagine you were someone who found yourself expecting a child with a good chunk of Hell not considering you "high-up" enough in the food chain to care... wouldn't you get freaked out too? 3) Lastly, and this being among the biggest points to me personally... did her & Moxxie ever talk about having kids before? Given the implication that they rushed to get married so soon after dating (+Millie not even knowing about Moxx's mafia background til WAY after), I... can't say I'd be surprised if Millie's fear is partially based on how Moxxie would react (for better or worse). Kids are by-far among the biggest dealbreakers for any relationship, so while I don't necessarily think this'll cause something like a split between M&M... yeaaaah I wouldn't be surprised if this still caused some lingering-tension either way, regardless of if they go through with this pregnancy or not 🤷‍♀️ (On a side note; loved seeing Sallie May popping up to give that well-needed support to her sis on the phone, aww 🥺)

The side-story with the "karen" sinner and her ex-drama was... weird, all things considered? .x.;; Like, yeah I can see the importance of how this plays into Blitz's relationship woes & such... but, am I the only one who found it weird the writing going all "moralistic" with Blitz NOT going through with the job, solely cause he imagined his idealized family in Stolas (whom I'll cover in a sec btw-) upon spying on the target + his partner & kids? 🤨 Like... I know I've seen some argue that this is "character development" for Blitz, which I normally wouldn't mind seeing... but mind you, this is the SAME dude who was all-too-fine killing a bratty kid, a wife & her happy (albeit cannibalistic) family, a whole bunch of random college kids on spring break (all for the sake of some parking spot drama with Verosika btw), and not even two shorts ago some horny fangirl got met with the same fate by his hands (mostly due to getting caught up in her own fantasy world... and thats it lol). So I just... have a hard time buying into this being some grand "change of heart" moment for Blitz tbh, cause with this whole episode taking place during the winter holiday season (an already money-draining time irl as-is), I... can't help but find it a lowkey dick move of Blitz to rob his fellow employees of a chance to have some more cash on-hand (esp. after the events of "Ghostf**kers" and him draining the company's finances over his Stolas mope-fest, like come on dude-🤦‍♀️). Heck, if he really-really didn't wanna do it (and this target family seems innocent enough to potentially escape Hell if-killed)... couldn't they have just lied to the lady that they did the deed & take her money anyway (-instead of Blitz immediately punting her out the window 'cause she was bitching about Stolas' writing😑)? Again, this IS Hell we're talking about, so a bit of dirty-dealing doesn't seem far out of the realm of normal there lmao. Buuuut idk, that may just be me... 🤷‍♀️

We're back again with Andre leading the story as the "main" bad guy, and I'll admit his final confrontation with Stolas & the I.M.P. gang was pretty kickass~ From Stolas throwing the first punches at his smug-ass face, the action-increasing with the ice dragons & Loona going "feral"-mode, and even Octavia coming in to defend everyone from her uncle (with her own personal magic) was pretty rad! 🤩👏👏 One thing that's bothering me about it all though... where tf is Stella during all this going on?? 🤨I know the show's pretty much committed atm to making her as one-dimensionally dumb & evil as possible (not even giving her much substantial dialogue after her repeated "hiLARRRIOUS MUAHAAA~" lines 😒 ), but surely someone like her wouldn't miss the chance to see her ex (+affair partner) smacked down by her brother?? Especially once Via arrived, just imagine the juicy drama potential of seeing Stella having to force herself (+Andre) to call off their attack to appease Via (further adding in salt to the wound for her later decision to walk away from Stolas). Hhhhh Viv, why must u be so allergic to developing Stella (antagonism-wise)... 😔😔

Now, as far as Stolas himself is concerned... *-sighs-* I know I'm gonna get some flack for saying this, but I caaaaaan't with his dude anymore🤦‍♀️ Yes, I get he's going through a tough time losing everything + adjusting to a simple life now (along with implied-withdrawal symptoms from the lack of "happy pills"). But just... the way Stolas kept getting MORE & more whiny/unappreciative of Blitz (after all he's done to accommodate Stolas, defend him against other imps, giving him a job at I.M.P. on top of everything-), then never uttering a single "thank you" for Blitz's efforts frustrated tf out of me 😑😑. You expect to buy that these two are these "deep destined soulmates" at the end of the day, to the point of Blitz practically becoming a giddy cheerleader to boost Stolas at every turn... ...and yet, at the same time you're telling me Blitz has never asked about Stolas' eating habits before, nor Stolas ever asking about Blitz's love of horses?? That outside of their failed date at Ozzy's, they never once tried to actually talk, share a meal or hangout aside from their once-a-month hookups (pre-"Full Moon")? Sure, the show implies that Stolas has asked about Blitz's day before (via-some throwaway lines + blink-and-you'll-miss-it texts)... but if the audience never actually sees those friendly gestures on-screen, how am I supposed to buy them being in-love now?? -_- Like, to take a note from "Swan Princess":

Taking away their childhood memory of playing together for a day, the sexual chemistry, the grand gestures, them both having goth angsty daughters... what else IS there for Stolas & Blitz to love about each other, truly? Its one thing if you wanna show them starting over as friends first (awkward roommate-vibes aside), then hell yeah I'd be down to see their rebuilding bond as a more balanced, genuine pairing down the line (making moments like their big kiss + balcony dance 10x more impactful imo)!👍

...But, with how things are now with Viv & crew rushing to go full-romance mode already (regardless of either character's emotional well-being in the story), I... don't think I can see myself joining the Stolas/Blitz ship hype tbh, regardless of what's to come in the next couple seasons...🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Now, to cap things off regarding Octavia in all this... She. IS. A. STAAAAARRR😭🌟👏👏By far the best thing to come out of this finale IMHO; just seeing Via standing her ground as strongly as she did, both in-defense of her dad AND against him... goddd, that was powerful q-q💜 And before anyone mentions it, no I don't think Via was in anyway "wrong" for her reaction to Stolas (regardless of his efforts to reach her by the end). Imagine you're in her position; the product of an loveless, toxic marriage forced upon by a rigid society, living your childhood blissfully unaware & happy until everything comes crashing down in your teen years (through your father's public affair + your mother's rampant rage). All you thought was true is now a confirmed lie, you're stuck in an emotional mess dealing with your parents, and your beloved dad is constantly putting his booty call (+marital drama) a bigger priority over you (albeit unintentionally, but still-)...

Time & time again, Via's been let down by Stolas, the one parent she's always been closest to since the beginning... and to top it all off? Several episodes later, she's watching her father live on TV willingly ready to be executed in Blitz's place (without so much as a single goodbye message to Via, mind you-), effectively breaking his promise that he'd never leave her...

...So, really, how can anyone blame Via for simply being done with her dad, by that point? Stolas may be "trying", I know... but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter that he didn't "mean" to hurt her. What matters most is that... well, he did. More than he can imagine... 💔

Like yeah I enjoyed the Via focus we got (+her song💜), the ice battle & the improved M&M + Loona writing... buuuuut oof, am I just exhausted by the Stolas/Blitz-melodrama at this point, oml >>;; No shade to those who did enjoy the finale regardless though, yall are more than valid! 👍👍 Maybe later on I'll give my overall thoughts on S2 (+the overarching story of HB) further down the line if I'm up for it... buuuuut yeah, hope yall enjoyed reading & thanks for sticking around my page~ (for any newer/older Hellaverse fans alike)!👋✨🌙

Mmmm forte swap au brain rot upon ye!

I've already completed designs for everyone at the NDA but I wanna space out the posts a bit cuz I don't think I'd be able to say all I'd want to in just one post!

Ramble about character info below; (+spoilers for all of mdarc)

Obviously this is based on my silly doodles for rain code ship week but I've actually started putting a lot of thought in to this now! (I've had waaaaaaay too much free time recently and I'm blessed with the ability to come up with lore/world building very quickly given enough motivation!)

So first off: Why Storm Cypher? Well cuz it's a protagonist swap! Desuhiko's now the amnesiac trainee being haunted by Shinigami so it made sense in my opinion to make this au's name reflectant of his last name, Thunderbolt. So that's where the 'Storm' comes from. 'Cypher' because it's a form of code and... well I just think it sounds nice basically! I do what I do for my own enjoyment, I don't always need to have a reason - no matter what my teachers say.

Also I decided to change some (Not all) character's last name's to better reflect their newly assigned fortes.

Anyway- It's character info dumping time!!!

Desuhiko, like og Yuma, has absolutely no memory of his past. While his personality remains fairly intact, he boards the Amaterasu Express hoping to figure out who he is along the way. While nobody there knows who he is, he instead finds he have a knack for word-play, puns and pick up lines, leading to accusations of secretly being a circus clown as opposed to a detective. This attitude is only solidified more upon meeting Shinigami, the death god with just as many innuendos to make as he does. They get along almost dangerously well, even more so when he learns she has a humanoid form. After completing the first mystery labyrinth, he decides that being a detective HAS to be his true calling, since solving the case was pretty fun all things considered, and receives his hoodie from The Chief to help keep him dry once arriving in Kanai Ward.

Yuma on the other hand, takes the place of co-star of chapter 2. At first he comes off as cool and charismatic but he breaks down almost immediately at the slightest hint of conflict. He's been a very famous musician for years prior to becoming a master detective, though he finds it hard to fully express himself through anything other then his appearance and music. The anxiety induced from an excess of fans, attention, and not knowing who to trust anymore thanks to his own popularity, he was ecstatic to be scouted by the WDO for his talents in disguises. Once it blossomed into a fully fledged forte and he was allowed to work as a detective properly though... they started regretting hiring him. Chaotic, anti-authoritatian and impossible to track down, he's more of a vigilante then a real detective. He was selected to go to Kanai Ward due to it's predicted high mortality rate, the higher ups hoping to dispose of the troublemaker without being too obvious about it. What does APAB mean you ask? All Peacekeepers Are Bastards!!! The Chief wasn't very happy to see him wearing it but permanent marker is permanent.

I haven't decided if I'll change Shinigami's humanoid design yet. If I do though, it'll probably just be more remenicent of her beta design. I haven't decided if I'll swap the Amaterasu Express detectives either though but... maybe I will. Since its forte swap though, the peacekeepers will all remain the same.

I'm hoping to write a fanfic for this, as opposed to like... a comic. But I'm partial to the idea of maybe doing an ask blog as well? I don't know yet. Either way, I'll probably post more for this tomorrow! <3

Hey folks n blokes! A few days ago ya might've been one of the people who helpfully responded to my question asking which LotR recipe we should cook next, and you all had great ideas. Including a golum salmonella sushi platter. There were a few that twinkled directly into my eyes, but only one fish gets fried at a time! Thanks @vensre for the suggestion!

Today from Lord of the Rings, we will be making Bilbo Baggin's Seed Cakes

(As always you can find the cooking instructions and full ingredient list under the break-)

MY NAMES CROSS NOW LETS COOK LIKE ANIMALS

SO, “what goes in to a Seed Cake?” YOU MIGHT ASKIf you're an amer*can like me, you might have never heard of a seed cake outside of the context of bird feeders.

Salted butter

Fine sugar

Whole milk

Eggs

Almond flour

Vanilla extract

Brown sugar

Caraway/fennel seeds

Ground anise seed

Ground nutmeg

The real key ingredient here is the caraway seeds. The factor that ties all recipes together. Important note, anise seeds and anise stars are 2 separate things!

AND, “what does a Seed Cake taste like?” YOU MIGHT ASKTastes like what an old bookstore smells like.

Smells like warm licorice

But without the chemical-y aftertaste

Take a shortbread and make it denser and with less airpockets. Thats your texture.

A little bit like gingerbread but nuttier, earthier

Very rich

Beautiful crumbly brown outside, soft teddybear-brown inside

Pairs well with a glass of milk hahaha

Mentioned both in the books and the MMO, being served after dinner ties into their real-life origins! Before caraway seeds in cakes became popular in the victorian era, they were often candied and served as dessert because caraway seeds help with after-meal indigestion.

. used an herb grinder for the anise seeds . used light brown sugar where brown sugar called for . used blanched almond flour . if i made this again, would probably use higher quantity of nutmeg or add cinammon

From entering the kitchen, to having this in my stomach, it took roughly 2 hours? Ish? Definitely make sure to let your 2 sticks of butter and 3 eggs sit out a bit beforehand so they reach room temp, it helps them whip together the warmer they are.

The most difficult part of this recipe was finding the seeds. Everything except the caraway/fennel and anise seed i already had, and maybe its a recent thing but since when did grocery stores start charging such an obscene amount for a regular bottle of spices? Is it not enough to have everything else infected by price-gouging, now we'll be scraping pennies for our little flavor heavens? Bleh. 

The seed cake is a new experience for me also, and many pardons if some sacred seed cake rule has been broken today. It tasted fantastic! The licorice was a strong flavor I've never experienced in this form before, it suits itself well. If you're baking for children or have a sweeter palette, the bitterness may be a bit much, but just have them dunk it in milk honestly. It did feel like there was some 'empty space' on my palette while eating- if that makes any sense? It couldve been layered with another flavor but i still can't put my finger on what that missing flavor could be.

Definitely be careful to put the eggs into the butter/sugar a little bit at a time. I got impatient the first-go, and the eggs incorporated less, and it led to a greasier cake. People seem to say that storing these and eating them the next day makes them taste better, i cannot attest as i ate both within the same day of making them. 

This recipe has earned itself a glimmering 7/10, for making my kitchen smell nice but also making me use a standmixer if i want my arms to stay attached (with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) 

🐁 ORIGINAL RESIPPY TEXT BELOW 🐁

Ingredients:

220g salted butter

225g fine sugar

16g of milk

3 eggs

175g almond flour

2 drops vanilla extract

Pinch of brown sugar

1tbsp caraway seeds

1 1/2tbsp  ground anise seed

1/2tsp ground nutmeg

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 320F. Soften the butter and let eggs come to room temperature. 

Cream the butter by itself for around 5 minutes with a standmixer on med., until light in color. Add sugar and continue until the mixture is pale and fluffy.

In a seperate bowl beat the eggs until 'frothy'. 

Stir a small amount at a time of the eggs iinto the butter and sugar mixture, making sure each portion incorporates as you go.

Add the caraway, ground anise seed, ground nutmeg, and vanilla extract.

Gently fold in the almond flour. Careful not to overmix.

Add a tablespoon of milk, or until the batter keeps its form but drips off an upside down spoon.

Pour into a greased 9-inch round cake pan, if not available muffin/cupcake pans should also work.

Sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on top.

Bake for 40-50 minutes. Cool for 10 before serving.

A/N: Shout out to Beta Reader Ribbon for being the only beta reader this week. We gave Huntress a break because they do not like Bakugou and yet I force her to read these fics LMFAO. I've come back after a big test and I want to die. This chapter is a bit of a slower one as it's more housekeeping if anything.

When Bakugou said he was going to leave early in the morning, you didn’t think he’d leave at 3 a.m.

Your eyes opened once your body could no longer feel the warmth in the bed. Your eyes landed on Bakugou’s back, seeing old scars from being stabbed through his chest and the scars you gave him the night before.

His perfectly muscular back was soon covered by his shirt, forging the pout on your face and a sad whine.

He looked over his shoulder upon hearing your whine and chuckled. He turned and leaned down to you and kissed your cheek. “Sorry princess, I need to make sure I am ready for work today. I’ll see you then, okay?”

Though you whined, you nodded your head. Bakugou gave you another kiss, though it was longer and sweeter as if he didn’t want to leave either.

He pulled away though, leaving you to watch him leave your room and hear him close the front door behind him.

You grabbed the pillow he had laid on and cuddled it closely to you, breathing in his scent. Your brain felt fuzzy from just being woken up and also the feeling of being addicted to your soulmate already.

You reached out of your bed and grabbed your phone from a pile of clothing so you could put it on charge, but you quickly noticed you had two message notification files. One from your mother asking how you were, and one from him.

Minato Kusumoto (2) Missed Calls Missing my calls? You busy or something? Is it true you are working at Best Jeanist’s Agency?  That Saitou chick from the social media department found out this morning Call me once you are free, k?

You mentally cringed. Maybe it was because you were still in the after-glow after fucking your soulmate, but Minato just felt creepy to you now. You dumped him and yet he was still trying and reaching for your attention.

At least he wasn’t calling you by that pet name.

You clicked on his profile and pressed the blocked button, sighing in relief. 

Maybe you’ll regret this later when you come back down to your normal self, but in this moment it felt right. It felt so perfectly right.

You opened up your texts with your mother, smiling with glee as you typed.

You Sorry for the late reply. I met my soulmate.

You put your phone down as you plug it into its charger before lying on your back.

You couldn’t stop smiling.

“You can’t just drop that on someone at 3 a.m., Y/N!” Your mother shouted at your mother over the phone.

You had been woken up by your mother calling you. It did force you to get up, have a shower and get ready for work, but it wasn’t a nice way to wake up.

You locked your front door, your bag hanging off your elbow as you held the phone to your ear.

You sighed. “I just thought you’d like to know, mama. Next time I won’t tell you when I meet up with my soulmate.”

You snickered to yourself when you heard a weird construction of noises coming from your mother’s end of the call. 

“I have to get going now, mama.” You informed her as you bounced down the stairs. “I have to get to work now.”

“Can you just tell me who it is?” Your mother begged. “At least tell me what he looks like.”

“I met him at work and he is tall.”

“That doesn’t give me anything, Y/N!”

You laughed. “Bye mama!”

You hung up on your mother before making your way to work.

You were going to be yelled at later for that but who cares.

Thankfully, Bakugou was busy most of the day. Off doing his job while you did his. You found a way to schedule Bakugou for only one interview for a month. Sooner or later though you knew the journalists were going to figure out what the plan was and try their best to get Bakugou ticked.

They seemed to love that.

The main thing that kept piling up though was the incident reports coming in. Bakugou hadn’t made an appearance in the office yet and it was 2pm, and yep you were getting new paperwork to file every 10 to 15 minutes because of how much he was doing. From what you heard from some of the other secretaries, it was something he learned during his first year at UA in a Work Study Problem and he wasn’t eager to let it go.

It did mean that the large amount of paperwork coming in was mostly Bakugou’s cases, and because he hadn’t come into the office, you were the one ending up doing all the paperwork. You had to have the news radio playing on all the time just so you knew where his whereabouts were and take some guesses about what incident happened where, when, with whom and what happened.

You had a feeling in your gut that he was coming in soon. No new paperwork had come in for 20 minutes and he hadn’t been mentioned on the radio for 25 minutes. You could tell though he was taking your suggestions from the day before into consideration, actively avoiding the media from what you could tell.

You heard some noise from outside of your office, hearing some heavy footsteps walking closer and closer to your office. You then started to hear an almost whiney voice following the harsh footsteps.

It wasn’t long until you saw Bakugou’s figure walk past the door with two figures walking behind him. They were talking in a line like ducklings. 

You could hear them walk into Bakugou’s office and you could hear them talk about something, but their words were mumbled because of the soundproofing on Bakugou’s office walls.

Considering how one of the figures looked to be made out of red, you were going to go out on a wild limb and assume it was Red Riot. The media made it out like they were close friends, even doing cross merch collabs even if they were in different agencies.

Suddenly the door connecting your offices opened and you saw Bakugou’s face poked through.

“Where are the reports?” He asked, his mask was around his neck this time and his skin shined with sweat.

“The three on your desk are the only ones I couldn’t do because of limited information. The rest are already finished.” You answered him.

Bakugou’s brow went into a line. “Really?”

You noticed two heads behind him looking at you. You seemed to be right on the money about one of the figures being Red Riot, but the second seemed to be Charge Bolt.

Bakugou made a sound with his mouth before turning back into his office and closing the door behind him.

“Is that your new secretary ?” Kirishima asked Bakugou, watching Bakugou walk over and sit at his desk.

“She’s rather cute,” Kaminari said with a flirtatious smile on his face. “Is she single-“

“Shut up Dunce Face.” Bakugou glared at Kaminari before looking at your handwriting on the half-filled-out paperwork.

Your handwriting was really neat…

Kirishima and Kaminari exchanged a look before Kirishima started speaking. “So now that you have met your soulmate, when do we get to meet them?”

“Hopefully never if I have anything to say about it.” Bakugou grunted, his eyes not leaving the paperwork.

Kaminari leaned over the table. “You want them all to yourself after everything? Wouldn’t blame ya. If she caught a glimpse of-”

“Kam don’t.” Kirishima warned.

Bakugou glared up at Kaminari, his upper lip snarling up.

It had been like this all day for the two friends. Bakugou seemed to be on edge after meeting his soulmate. The two worried that maybe their first meeting didn’t go well, but Bakugou pushed that concern aside and your two proper interactions as soulmates was more than what he expected.

Kirishima’s eyes scanned Bakugou’s tense body, how he seemed to be on high alert and trying to listen to what was happening outside of the room they were standing in. Said room being soundproofed made it difficult. He couldn’t help but wonder if maybe Bakugou was missing the company of his soulmate already?

“Can I ask what your soul bond is, Bakugou?” Kirishima asked.

Bakugou gave Kirishima a nasty look, a look that made Kaminari back up. Kirishima stood his ground, not giving Bakugou the satisfaction of ‘winning’.

Bakugou sighed in an annoyed tone before leaning back in his chair, looking off to the side in embarrassment. “I don’t talk about it for a reason.”

“It’s one of those feeling the same things one, right?” Kaminari asked as he sat down on the couch in Bakugou’s office.

Bakugou scoffs. Of all the people to remember that drunken confession from almost 2 years ago.

It happened after your first time, Bakugou felt so betrayed by you going against your two’s soul bond and sleeping with someone else that he couldn’t function like he used to for a short time. He had erectile dysfunction for a few months, was physically ill for two days, and had become more angry. That’s not even adding that he’d be sick after you had sex for the following months.

His friends noticed, his parents noticed, the public noticed, his therapist noticed. His friends thought maybe taking him out to drink would cheer him up, and after a few hours he finally opened up and said ‘I can feel her through the soul bond, and it’s the worst’.

That's all it took for his friends to understand why he was upset. He felt something because of the soul bond, and whatever he felt was impacting his day-to-day life. Suddenly his friends were coming over a lot more either to play games, to have a meal, or to go hiking with him. It took his mind off of it for long enough until his therapist said something that helped more than anything else.

“The downside of having soulmates is that we know our person is out there and is the perfect person for us. People have often romanticised love, being loved and being in love that when someone hasn’t met their soulmate as young compared to the people around them, they become very lonely people. Maybe even isolated. Your soulmate probably just wanted to be loved, so please don’t take it as a betrayal.”

His therapist’s words rang through his head once again, his eyes sliding over to the shared door between your two offices. 

You’ve just broken up with your boyfriend for cheating on you but you didn’t want him or anyone else to know it was about the cheating. You moved across the country to a whole different Prefecture for a new job to use that as your reason to break things off. Was nothing else holding you back to keep you there? Why didn’t you want anyone else to know?

Were you so isolated and lonely that no friends or family were able to keep you there by simply being in your life, to the point moving to a different Prefecture felt easier than confessing or confronting the truth?

Did you even have anyone to help you move into your new place? He saw all the boxes around your apartment.

Bakugou was in deep thought, his finger tapping on his desk while another hand was holding his chin. Kirishima waved a hand in front of Bakugou’s face, only to get no reaction.

“And we lost him.” Kaminari chuckled to himself, standing back up. “We should get going. Let him open up when he’s ready.”

Kirishima followed Kaminari out of the room, an eyebrow raised at Kam as they walked out. “When did you become wise?”

“Always have.” Kaminari said with a smirk.

“Fuck off with that shit.” Kirishima laughed.

You waited until you could no longer hear the heroes' voices through the halls before taking a look at the shared door between yours and Bakugou’s office. It felt awkward knowing your soulmate was on the other side of the door. What were you even supposed to say? ‘Thanks for the sex last night now let’s act as if we aren’t soulmates as we work’? 

Great, now you are thinking about the sex with Bakugou last night and being reminded how sore your thighs were feeling. You feared for a reaction from Bakugou, remembering he could feel your sexual stirrings just as you could feel his. Within this moment though, things started to connect in your head now that you had the context that Bakugou was your soulmate.

The reason why he would always push his sexual stirring down during working hours was because of his job. Either so he doesn’t get onto the news for popping a boner while fighting some lizard villain or because he just was too busy to really focus on his sexual stirring. You started to feel really guilty for all the times you and Minato Kusumoto had sex while at work.

You mentally cringed. Why did you have to remind yourself of that?

Almost on cue, the shared door opened, bringing attention to Bakugou’s face.

“Did those idiots say where they were going?” He asked in a grumpy annoyed tone.

“No.” 

He scoffed, turning his face away from you. Which, funny enough, only brings your attention to his red-tipped ears. You tried to hold back the smile threatening the form on your cheeks.

Bakugou turned back around to look into your eyes, catching you staring at him.

“You have any plans to meet up with friends or something?” He asked, trying to get information out of you.

You mentally cringed. A few people did come to mind who used to be your friends but dumped you after you started dating someone who wasn’t your soulmate. You doubted they would want to see you, even after you left Minato Kusumoto. You also doubted they would believe that you happened to meet your soulmate after moving too.

“...Not really. I haven’t made any friends yet.” You confessed to Bakugou, not knowing you confirmed his concerns.

You noticed tapping his finger on the other side of the door frame as his mind was in deep thought. “I’ll walk your home and help you unpack this week.” Bakugou said nonchalantly.

Your chest felt tight and you stood up from your desk. “You don’t have to do that for me.”

Bakugou rolled his eyes. “Yeah, I don’t have to. I’m doing it because I want to.”

“You-? You want to help me?” You asked.

Bakugou gave you a look that read ‘Are you kidding’? Your lips went into a straight line.

You guess you really shouldn’t be surprised that your soulmate wants to spend time with you and help you get adjusted.

But as his secretary, you can’t have him be seen coming over to your place. It would be a scandal if people noticed him walking the same girl home every night for a week, especially because you were his secretary.

“You can’t do that.” You sighed out as you sat down.

Bakugou tried to hold back his snarl. “What do you mean I can’t do that?!”

“You can’t be seen walking and staying at your secretary’s home every night for a week, Bakugou-“

“I thought we were on a first-name basis.” Bakugou’s voice was low and almost threatening.

“Not while we are at work.” You bite back.

“Why not?!” He asked with an accusatory tone.

“Because if Dynamight is seen walking his new secretary home and staying at her home for longer than a minute, it will cause scandal.” You explained to him, trying not to yell at him.

Bakugou became quiet, his eyes just glued to your face - mostly your lips - as he thought over whether he wanted to be mad or not.

You were probably right. He couldn’t be seen out with you as much as probably wanted to. All he’s ever wanted was to show off his soulmate to the world. He thought once he met you, he would rarely be seen without you when he wasn’t working. It was a huge disappointment that you two met because you were now working for him.

Didn’t mean he liked it though.

“…I still want to help you.” He grumbled out in frustration.

You sighed, resting your open hand over your mouth as you tried to find a compromise for him. “How about you come on the weekend?”

“I come on Friday and sleepover for the weekend.” Bakugou replied with a soft grin.

“The weekend.” You sat up straight, trying to ignore the warm growth in your core.

“I know you like the idea.”

“But it might cause you problems.” You said as you stood up, grateful you wore your suit pants today. “I should’ve taken the job to work for Red Riot so we wouldn’t have this problem.”

Bakugou’s eye twitched. “You think you would’ve preferred it?” He asked with an angered tone.

“I don’t know,” You let out in frustration with your hands being thrown up. “But we wouldn’t be having this problem.”

Bakugou grumbled, his finger tapping the door frame again. “Fine, but you have to give me your personal number.”

“Fine.” You sassed back before you even realised what you were agreeing to. Only once you pulled out your phone did you mentally curse yourself. “This doesn’t mean for work purposes I’ll use this phone. I’ll still use my work phone.”

“Fine.” Bakugou replied in a less angry tone than before.

You felt awkward as you held out your personal phone to Bakugou. He walked over, putting his personal number into your contacts. You felt your knee bounce up and down under the table and tried not to peel at your nails.

You wondered if all soulmates were awkward in their first few social interactions or if it was just you two considering your job and sexual past. 

Bakugou pulled a plain-looking phone with an orange case out of one of his pockets before handing it to you. You start pulling in your number, noticing him getting a lot of notifications from a group chat. It seemed as if Bakugou was the type of person to name all of his contexts with nicknames, but you still put in your full name.

Once you exchanged phones again, Bakugou looked at your new contact with a soft face for only two seconds before diving his phone back into his pocket. “You sure you don’t want me to walk you home?” He asked.

“Yes, I am sure Bakugou. How about you go have some lunch?”

“Will you join me?”

You raised an eyebrow at Bakugou. He replied back with a click sound made from his mouth and turned his head away. The screen of your personal phone lit up, bringing your attention away from Bakugou to your phone. A cold icy feeling went through your blood.

Email From: Minato Kusumoto Subject: Why Did You Block Me? Preview: Hey Kitty, You didn’t respond to my text yesterday and…

You quickly put your phone face down on your desk, making Bakugou look at your face with a quirked brow.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, noticing how stiff you had become and finding your reaction suspicious.

You mentally weigh your options of whether you should tell Bakugou or not. ‘Yeah just my ex trying to get in contact with me, no biggie.’ Did not seem like a good idea to say.

You took some deep breaths before speaking. “Just an email but how much the move here is going to cost me.”

hey, i just wanted to say that i'm sorry for the lack of posting. i've been on this account for what, almost 3 years now? but anyways, i've decided to go on a hiatus till the end of the year. why? there's a number of reasons. if you're interested you can read below but otherwise that's the basic amount that you need to know.

being simply busy. life is busy and i have a life (unfortunately). i wish i could sit here and write all day sometimes but i just can't. i have so many other things going on and so many other things i need to finish that i just can't spare any time for this blog. it is at the least of my priority list right now.

mental health. i am a very mentally unstable person. my mental state can change with just a little push and it sucks ass. it's hard to write when i'm in a depressive episode and it doesn't feel good to push out writing that i don't think is good enough just to have something put out.

1) Yes! I purposely tried to make her very bright, colourful as a contrast to Blythes dreary palette. I was unaware of plants having a similar thing but I was thinking of how "bright colours = danger" in a lot of wildlife. I also took inspiration from The Shimmer/Zone from Annihilation to emphasize the downright incomprehensible nature of Fae, unpredictable and bound to laws unknown to mortals.

2) She definitely has mushrooms!! I have always been entranced by the dichotomy of life and decay, and that cycle. I love love love the presentation in Princess mononoke, with plants blooming and rotting within the presence of the spirit

3) Yes, that is the worst ending for Blythe. To perpetuate the cycle and become a Hag uncaring for the feelings of others for her own whimsy. To eventually become intoxicated with the power she obtains and believes rules no longer apply to her.

However, she has people in her life to urge her to break that cycle, to keep her grounded. To put others over her own selfish desires. To break a cycle of abuse you often need help, we are a social species. Her companions and friends are meant to be a representation of that. A way to overcome the generational abuse - and maybe later. She can look back and realize Theta was a victim too. That she once was a woman, who did things she thought were loving but hurtful never the less.

I think acknowledging that the perpetrators are often victims themselves is important in your own healing. It helps you process and curb any negative behaviours in yourself, as well as see people as human.

I often struggle with the way I was raised juxtaposed with how much my parents sacrificed to give me a better life. How much they worked, how much they gave so that I can be in Canada instead of Ukraine, juxtaposed with the way I look back on my childhood and am filled with anger. Both of these things are true; and I feel as though it helps me move forward. I've treated some people badly in my life, lashing out because of my own treatment, and I feel ashamed for it, but it doesn't negate that fact. We're all human, we all have impacted someone's life negatively at one point, you just have to do better.

Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone's experiences, some abuse is much more heinous than others, but this is my experience as an elder daughter in an immigrant family.

Overall, this was a swing and a miss for Gemma. It's basically taking the plot of "Olympia's Day" and sapping out what made it fun -- not just the wild hallucinations and the sanity slippage we saw along the way, but also replacing the character in question with one that has no motive in life. And that's not even getting into the math lesson torn from such episodes as "6:00 to 6:05" and twisted to include seconds like that means anything of merit in terms of uniqueness. It does not. Oh yes, and the whole "nice agent. not-nice agent" thing. It's watered-down preschool stuff. "Good cop bad cop" would have done fine and gotten past censors just like it did all those years ago. It being British, "constable" would have been a better-suited term. "Good constable, bad constable" would have worked. (Likewise, a slang term could have been used -- "bobby" is apparently popular.)

So yeah. No. Throwing this one in the trash too. Sorry, Gemma, but you need to try harder.

Next up will be "The Odd Ness Monster", which I hear is actually pretty good. At this point I'm at the whim of the fandom when it comes to "is this episode good or not?" I don't think I can trust myself to not keep getting disappointed like this.

I'm a trans dude, and 100% top, older than most of you guys, and my experience as a top in the gay male community spans 10+ years. I used to encounter a lot of idiots in Grindr who'd ask me stupid shit like "errrrr how can u be a top?" And id have to school them on the fact that YES, not only do I have a dick- I have multiple ones aside from the one hormones blessed me with. I've been told by a lot of men that they prefer trans tops or switches because:

1. A prosthetic dick doesn't go soft no matter how many times we cum. Cis dick is famously finicky, but with me they don't have to worry boner killing 2. Sex with trans tops is a lot less dick-centric, meaning there's way more freaky stuff we do rather than the formulaic 5min in and out 3. Different size and shape dicks! I've had a lot of cis and trans partners that felt they could finally try anal with me bc we could start small. The size queens can get what they want too.. nobody is stuck with something that doesn't work for them. 4. Much much less risk than bottoming for cis men 5. For my trans male partners, not having to worry about birth control and chronic UTIs. 6. Eh, I have now and again, but not often, and usually I remember to just delete it before I can waste a lot of brain time on it or commit too much of it to memory.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

I sure do! Almost always m/m of the two cis dudes variety, because I am the kind of ace porn writer who doesn't enjoy putting my writing self into sex scenes involving a body that resembles mine. I feel like I'm writing a bit less kink and a bit less lovingly intense filth than I have at times in the past, but I suppose these things wax and wane.

10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I have written my fair share of them! Probably the most oddball one would be the time I wrote Jack Harkness having perilous sex with inevitable consequences with Mayhem from the Allstate Commercials.

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yeah, a few times. It happens.

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

Many times! It always makes me wish I could read any other language because I'm so curious about how they read in translation.

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope! Closest I've ever gotten was writing alternating stories in a series with someone else, but my writing brain does not play well with others. It's only in the last couple of years that I've gained the ability to play TTRPGs without getting frustrated by not being able to control the narrative personally, so. Maybe in another decade or two I will have achieved enough zen?

15. what’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I only have one dangling WIP, and I am mostly at peace with probably never finishing it, but it would be nice if I suddenly found the spoons/motivation/time/etc to finish it off, yeah.

Persistence, mostly.

Focus, probably?

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I don't do it much--I'm not fluent in any other language and beyond using a word or phrase that the character uses in canon, I don't think I'd want to try. I can only think of one time I've done it at any length, and I don't think I would again.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

The X-Files, when I was 13-15 years old. Mercifully, almost none of it ever got posted online.

20. favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Well, for tonight it's Jigsaw. Tomorrow my answer might be different.
