Idk why, but for some reason, my brain is developing a headcanon where if Mr. Puzzles has a favorite song, it would be one that got scrapped from a certain movie or is from a deleted scene like the song, “No One Would Listen” from a deleted scene from the 2004 Phantom of the Opera movie. omg as an aside from my tags on the last post. i briefly worked for a company that wrote letters to political reps on behalf of constituents who couldn't/wouldn't write to them themselves for whatever reason and i know for a fact that letters are WAAAAY more effective at influencing government officials than emails are, and sometimes they're even more effective than calls. emails are better than nothing but a lot of times (especially if they all have the same subject line/content) they will just be considered spam and get deleted without making it to the rep at all. letters are way more likely to make it to them for them to read! they Are more effort but that is a big part of why they're more influential too. so if there's an issue you're passionate about i rly encourage u to write a letter/letters to the people who can do something about it 🙏 there are websites out there where you can write the content of a letter to your rep and they will send it for you but i don't have any on hand atm, but otherwise writing and sending a letter yourself is not as intimidating as it might seem and is a great way to make your voice heard

Innocence is something that D has and always will cherish regardless of how he views humanity in general. There is a lot of cruelty in the world, but for every customer who fails at keeping to their contract there are those who love their animals like their own children. It's the good that keeps a glimmer of hope ignited in the shopkeeper's heart, that humanity might not inevitably doom itself and one day earn the right to enter paradise when it all comes to an end. Children in particular keep this hope alive and while D isn't overly fond of how noisy and rambunctious they are, most youngsters do love animals more than their adult counterparts. They also tend to see the true forms of the pets at this store, unlike grown-ups who are blinded by their desires and see only what they want to see. For these reasons, D is more patient when it comes to children but even they must be careful to treat their animal friends well, and to learn from any mistakes they do make. Innocence is a wonderful thing but like trust, it's gone forever once lost.

Reminder that if you wanna participate in Dom but you don't enjoy the Coliseum, you can breed dragons to sell to trainers, donate treasure, gems, or items to the dom bank, and attend for public buys/raffles, or make small art for badges! Dom isn't just a Coli Lover's Game

Attending is one of the more intimidating things on this list but I think most of not all the flights have tutorials for it, along with access to a parser that lets you copy/paste most or all of the dragon data into the record sheet easily instead of doing it all by hand. I'm a Coli Fan and even I think Attending is the most fun part of a Dom Push (Though I might also be Autistic in a way that makes me love Playing Spreadsheets)

All of these are appreciated in small amounts even! Every dragon sold to coli trainers counts! Every gem and bit of treasure counts! Any time you spend attending for the Public Buys and Raffles counts! And I always want to encourage everyone to join in on dom because the more active everyone is in it, the more fun it is for everyone I think

i lowkey feel like ls would benefit from having a smaller space

like since its a pvp and interaction-focused server with less than 30 members, most of whom struggle to log on, i think itll do them some good to limit the amount of space they can traverse so that the ones who Do get on get to mess around with each other easier

doesnt need to be Super small or anything, just maybe small enough that you can fly around the whole thing in under 7 mins

there is this idea that crime is caused by poverty. it's so popular that people state it as fact. and i think there might be some truth to it. but honestly, i think it's overstated and the relationship between crime and poverty is a lot more complex than people think.

just anecdotally speaking, it never sat well with me because my personal experience has been that criminals tend to be opportunistic predators not people acting out of desperation. i knew lots of people who shoplifted or robbed people and almost none of them were so desperately impoverished that they needed to resort to crime.

they chose crime because it was easy money. there was nothing preventing them from getting a job. they just didn't want to work a 9 to 5. the bandit lifestyle was just a lot more convenient. let those other suckers work their asses off and then you can just rob them. i knew people who were living comfortable middle class lifestyles from boosting and drug dealing.

and the irony is, this sort of behavior actually impoverished our community in a lot of ways. it seemed to me like the crime came first. when my parents group here this area was really nice. then in the 90s and 00s crime became rampant and the entire community went to shit for a variety of reasons (luckily things have turned around in recent years thanks to some tough-on-crime policies). my own family (which was below the poverty line for most of my childhood) has been stolen from multiple times (including our car one time which really fucked us over). these people weren't robin hoods stealing from the rich and giving to the poor and they also weren't impoverished victims just trying to survive. these people were just straight up predators without a conscience.

ive thought about becoming a babysitter full time id really enjoy it, i love child care and i think im pretty good at it! i couldnt raise a kid of course but im really good at interacting with them and teaching them stuff and keeping them entertained. my friends always liked my littlest sister better, but my friends siblings always liked ME better and thought i was the coolest thing theyve ever seen. every kid ive ever met has thought i was the coolest person theyve ever met and i tend to work really well with them
