Ouugh, it's finally done! I sketched out this cover about a year ago, but their clasped hands gave me a ton of trouble and I shelved it-- until a couple of months ago, when I just banged out the hands and then kept rolling from there!

what started as an idle thought about how cool crochet cables look became a very-ambitious-for-my-skill-level plan to design and make a cabled sweater, from the ground up, no pattern, and son of a bitch i fucking DID IT ✨

i cannot believe this came together so well. i am notoriously bad at measuring things lmao, but i understood the spatial concepts involved in the construction, and i did math for this shit and checked and double checked and kept meticulous notes on everything i did so i could make sure all the pieces matched and whatnot. it's the most closely fitted thing i've made to date too (honestly, i haven't even made that much 😂 like 3 differently constructed cardigans, all drop shoulder, and a simple raglan sweater), and i used a fancy no seam short row shaping technique to set the sleeves in that i can't believe i actually pulled off.
