in 1.5h it will be christmas day but i am. Im. There is dread

#theres. idk how to say it i just. i didnt have the money for gifts really and one hasnt arrived #and i feel like im failing christmas but thats not.#the dread is. theres.#i have been feeling an intense loneliness as of late that i think is just a product of living w 3 people who #are all in a relationship w each other so they all talk all the time and hang all the time and #just never really talk or hang w me anymore the way we used to #and theres a. i could barely afford anything for them and one of them i was told not to get anything for #and now its. im.#theres a pretty big pile of presents under the tree and it looks festive and cute but its. theres.#its a little discouraging to see a Large Pile and not a single one having my name on it #and its bc one of them has told me already that the package they ordered for me was delayed #its just. idk the season is only adding more to the way I've been feeling for a Whilr #but i dont have. theres not really #i dont have any other friends. and i know the family time tomorrow will be. not very good for me #and its just very. im dreading it.#and then next week theres a day where my flatmates having her birthday party and ive got work the next day #so i have to wake up at 4am so i just know its gonna suck #bc the partys probably still gonna be going kinda hard long past when i need to go to bed #i am just. i have not been feeling good lately and i am trying to dive into tumblr and my hyperfixations #in an attempt to compensate but its. its not really working #i wish the store was open tomorrow so i could just work and not have to deal w the holiday lmao #negative cw

sometimes while i think about that while a lot of adults did not treat me very well as a kid i also get a lot of 'in hindsight this person was so good to me and i didnt even realize it until now' as an adult. today i was thinking about how the first anime convention i ever went to was when i was 10 and i asked the man working the manga cafe what manga was/what a good place to start was (because the con was very overstimulating for me and i had gotten lost) and he asked how old i was before recommending yotsuba and asking if i wanted any water or something to eat. its really simple but theres a lot of bad things that couldve happened or he could've been careless in his recommendation, but instead yotsuba has remained one of my favorite manga for years, and probably a large portion of why i continue to read manga as an adult... i think adults who try to involve kids in the world safely/kindly even in little ways make so much more of a difference than they ever really know.

#and i know that sounds silly like YES. it was just a bookr ecommendation #but i feel like a lot of people either dont really care about whats a good starting point for younger kids in their shared fan spaces #or dont really take the care to recognize different peoples ages would effect what they would both enjoy or #be capable of engaging with #not to mention theres a lot of manga that would NOT have been appropriate for a 10 year old to read #so the fact that he askedd and even asked what sort of thing i liked at the time #was very sweet. i think about him a lot and i hope hes doing well #txt #scratchpost

This is going to be short bc i already have a post up explaining this situation, but I started having seizures, which led to medical costs I couldn't handle bc I have an autoimmune disorder that's been going untreated for years. I got the appts covered bc of an extremely generous friend on here, and had some additional medication costs which I thankfully had enough for. I've been applying to at least 10 jobs a day and had tons of interviews. I'm going through interviews and assessments for several jobs (got more scheduled for tomorrow) Then my card got stolen, and now I am screwed as far as rent goes, even if one of these jobs comes through like today we will still fall short because rent is due on the 1st and we don't get a grace period. I am trying to get the money that was taken when my card was stolen back, but I have been told to wait to hear back after submitting all the details, and have yet to hear back.

Dm me for proof or more details. I will do art for anyone who helps with this and you can commission me at my art blog @theartistrans I just desperately need to get rent. My roommates and I have a huge food garden planted and are working towards self-sufficiency, which we have no hope of if we can't pay rent.

OK I WENT AND SCANNED THE ZINE I MADE AND... here are most of the pages - so every middle "spread" has one left and right page on the back of it and then a bigger pic once its unfolded, but didnt include every side for every larger spread.

this basically explores a bit of folke and adrian's relationship - adrian, the Creature, ends up finding folke's brother's recently deceased corpse and imitates his appearence, the only real way for a basilisk in their world to learn to shapeshift into something.

So their relationship is a bit complicated. but also, it ends up eventually settling into something that isnt only full of bitterness...

#crunchchute art #my art #sam and max #sam & max #i hope it will be viewable as i dont know how much tumblr will crunch it #in any case i have it up on twitter also and it seems to be in good quality there #it looks like a 'the 7 human souls:' meme hfhdhf #hey i can put more thoughts in the tags right? so first i didnt really put enough effort into my own one and i kinda realized my style #is kinda mid ngl. cause im lazy + this coloring style might not really fit them. anyway.#for sootnukis style i adore the rendering of the clothing folds and stuff but i couldnt get it just right it remains a mystery to me #silcrow i tried to do a traditional drawing but kinda messed up some of the coloring especially on the pants #also couldnt figure out if its just markers or markers + pencils or what. so i kinda did my own take of 90% markers 10% pencils #mtsodie i love the color palettes and the shapes so that was a lot of fun to try; i like the outcome #narnour i absolutely love the tiny little eyes and how goofy and round they look so that was fun to try to replicate too #as well as the colors which i mostly color picked cause i couldnt get a red overlay right #zembo was a nice way to revisit a chalky brush that i havent used in ages not sure if i got it right though #applettoast i feel like theres some gorillaz influence or its at least something i used while coloring. as you might know i used to draw #gorillaz a lot and tried to replicate the coloring etc. and i think it fit here. correct me if im wrong lol #snuckeys was also hella fun cause i love the cartooniness and the details like the teeth showing gums and stuff. hope i did it justice #also the eyes! i love the big highlight and that the eyes are brown its cute #it was nice to branch out for a bit
