Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.

I feel like Uhura would have a sort of flirtatious banter going with most of the bridge crew and it's easy, fun, and lightens the mood during long boring stretches of the journey - even Spock's come to just roll with it at this point....and then there's Scotty. (he gets so flustered he starts sweating and stammering and can't think of anything witty to say)

#tos #Scotty strikes me as being bad with women #bc he's too over eager or too shy #and Uhura strikes me as like...the most popular girl on the ship #where people are calling her begging her to sing them a song and #when she obliges the entire room stops to listen (real thing that happened)#So whenever Uhura speaks to him outside of a professional inquiry/order Scotty doesn't know how to act #and everyone thinks it's amusing #A lot of the TOS crew seem like they fall into sort of flirty dialogue very easily #Kirk Uhura ... maybe Sulu? Mccoy - they all have that vibe #Chapel and Scotty don't have that vibe. In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?

Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.

Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.

But she isn't alone.

And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.

When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.

Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.

he's in space without a suit because he can. and the song is catchy and very funny in this particular situation- where did the wrench go?

Danny is in some sort of meta program and even if he doesn't have the meta gene (which as he found out did run in the family at least by dad's side which explains his... kool-aid-mannes) he does count as a member of extraterrestrial species.

there's the wrench! "hey can you please get that wrench for me?" a perk of ghost voice (not to be confused with ghost-speak the language) is that it doesn't need much substance to carry
