I don’t know how to describe my feelings about the YYH live action now that I’ve watched it to the end

I’m thankful that they made it because so much of it is so good, and yet it feels like they held a gun to the director & crew’s head and say ‘make it all fit in 5 episodes’. What the hell, man. Why did they not have more episodes to work with, why did they have to fit 65+ episodes of anime content in 5 1hr episodes….

Everything else was going for it! Like!! I can’t emphasize enough that the frustration I’m feeling is not directed at the actors, set designer, writers, etc… the fact that they managed to wring out something this good despite the episode limit is insane.

I don’t think I could recommend this to newbies. Die-hards like me for sure who’d be excited to see it in live-action, but man…
