Alien biology is weird. Liminal biology? Even weirder. 

Ecto? Very much a wellspring for creation despite its association with death. Or rather undeath, but that’s a debate that many a realms denizen has tried to find the answer of. Usually there weren’t many liminals- ecto contaminated, yes, but enough to form Cores? No, only a few throughout history. Until the age of Heroes and Villains came about. But that’s a story for another time. 

See ectoplasm builds up over time in the human body, and even more so for those that have formed cores who create their own. And it’s not like it’s well studied, what with most not even being aware of the changes or the fact they aren’t fully human anymore. 

Why is this important? Well, what happens if two liminals (accidentally or not) mix their ecto together? Well, that depends on intentions, even if it’s just an impulsive thought at the time. Which in turns means that accidents? Yeah, accidents might’ve happened. Oops….

"You're Alive"

Regulus feels hot, that's his first thought. It's a searing pain, fluttering down the length of his arms like a vile poison being pumped into his veins. Tendrils of embers curl around his flesh, reaching up to his throat, he opens his mouth to scream but no words come out. It feels like he's underwater but the water is thick; like blood. He just feels pain. So much pain.

He coughs, sputtering the substance from the inside of his mouth, his entire body curling in on itself, trying to seek refuge from it all. None comes, it's worse than anything his mother had ever thrown at him. It's worse than death itself.

"Stop," he screams, but he's not sure anyone hears him. "Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Stop!" His chest hiccups and cracks in half. The flame bites his skin, chewing on what's left of him. It's too much. Too much. Too Much.

He rams his body forward, then again, and again. The fire climbs inside his throat, swirling down into his stomach when he lurches upwards slamming his head against a cold mental table on his way back down.

"Stop," he whispers, "Stop it."

Hands cover both his cheeks and despite their warmth he shivers, pressing himself against them, as if they're the thing that'll save them.

"Stop," he whimpers, a cool tear pulling down his cheek only to be brushed away.

"Regulus," the voice, so familiar, stings, "Open your eyes." A beat and then it repeats, "Open your eyes."

With a gasp of air Regulus' eyes flutter open, it's a flash of bright light, it burns, but then there's a face blocking him from harm's way.

"Oh, love," James murmurs, his eyes red and cheeks gaunt, "You're beautiful."

Regulus takes another breath, remembering the taste of fresh air, he steals his gaze away to his shaking hands instead, though they're different than he remembers. They're an off-color, more blue than they should be, with stitches wrapped around his wrist. He turns his palm around to find another his skin puffy over it. His face falls as flashes of the water come back. It's violence overtaking his chest, the taste of his own blood on the way down.

Quickly he scrambles from the table, his knees buckling under his weight as soon as he hits the floor.

"Oh," James quickly catches him, "Take it a little slow."

Regulus blinks, shaking his head as he moves to stand again. Stepping away from James' grasp he finds a mirror in the corner of the room, it's broken in two with cracks running along it. The image comes out distorted, his face appearing ten times over, but something is wrong. He doesn't look like himself. His face pale and his eyes dark, like something that should be long buried. He was supposed to be underground.

"You must be cold," James says, rushing over to throw a blanket over his shoulders.

"Not cold," Regulus mumbles. He doesn't even feel a temperature anymore, he doesn't feel anything. James comes in front of him, blocking his view from the mirror, his eyes shining. "What am I?" Regulus' hands twitch at his side.

"You're alive," James replies simply, cupping his cheeks again.

The water is pushing him down. It's cold despite the fire spraying down on top of him. His screams are silenced by the heaviness of the waves above him. Crashing all around him, taking all of his air, he was under the water... it was the only way.

"No," Regulus flinches from his grip.

James pays no mind to it, stroking his cheek softly, "You're alive."

Regulus's breath hitches in his throat as James crashes forward taking him in his chest. Numbly he looks back to the mirror and finds his long-dead eyes looking back at him.

He can feel James' tears against his shoulder, and his voice shakes as he repeats, "You're alive."

Okay first off deeply concerned about a few things

Like yes yay the elsa bitch guy getting beat up was great but like how fucking easy is it going to be for him to turn around and go hey these peasants attacked me in my own home and it's back to them about to be executed. Like there's no fucking way there isn't consequences for this

Did anybody else notice millie getting punched by elsa bitch really fucking hard right in her lower stomach. Because I sure did! What if she's not pregnant after that what if she comes to terms with being pregnant and starts to get excited only to find out her baby was murdered before it even had a chance.

There were...a lot of fucking pill bottles there. Were they empty or did stolas just mass order his fucking pills. I am worried that via will start to take them. After all she's alone in a traumatic household with her world burning down around her

Speaking of via her powers!! Coming in! And them being sporadic as fuck and tied to her emotions? Can't wait for her to literally blow everybody up that'll be a fun time.

Still on via, bot really a concern just something I'm thinking about. The way via knew immediately not to argue with her mother, or even attempt to get her phone back or get an extra one or anything at all is very telling. The way she knew to just immediately put her headphones in and keep her head down and to go hide in her room. The way she went even further to hide in her closet before starting to sing? (How many times do we think she heard her mom berate her dad for singing) i think via knows her dad was being abused but hasn't yet fully realized what that means and is (understandablely) having a lot of feelings in every single direction.

Luna seems so much more happier and relaxed! She has friends now! She's laughing and smiling and not wearing exclusively dark clothes! She's openly calling blizo dad with out the grumbling! She just seems a lot more settled and happy now and honestly good for her!!

Idk why but I was not expecting stolas to sound like that. Just the way he said pussy caught me off guard for some reason. There were a couple other times where that happened but I don't really feel like listening them all out. Also. Fucking weird to be seeing stolas's pupils now.

Also!!! Stolas's face as m&m tore into each other. Wow. You know he was freaking the fuck out there and reliving some shit.

Speaking of background faces; the imp servants at the palace. Yah they all looked miserable and terrified. Not surprised but still yikes! With stolas they were always very much done with his shit , tired, and resigned but none of them seemed really terrified/upset like they do now.

Love that we don't really get overly nice manipulation Stella on via. Like she didn't even pretend to give a shit about her for more than that one second did she.

Blitzo calling stolas his bottom instead of just... literally anything else. Like he literally did not have to do that. But also confirmed stolitz dom/sub contract? 👀 or is this blitzo being himself and I'm reading too much into it.

I have seen some people on tumblr asking for context as to q!Charlie Slimecicle’s glitches and wondering what exactly is going on.

And sincerely from someone who has not missed a qsmp stream of his, I have to tell you that not one written post would be able to truly and completely sum up the culmination of the slimecicle qsmp streams that have led up this point.

Probably a me problem though cause I end up worrying about missing details or leaving out something important.

But the thing I am getting at is that q!charlie lore goes hard and absolutely nuts and is far more thought out then what it might initially seem to the outside eye. This man has gone through so many arcs and he references things that have happened months ago.

And honestly this is just me gushing at this point because Charlie Slimecicle has a way with improv and storytelling that has the hamster wheels of my mind whirring.
