Ok, so I joked about the Titan looking like a fleshlight which haha funny. But I had no idea Paul-Henri Nargeolet died in that thing. I’m legit upset. Nargeolet was the leading researcher on all things Titanic and deeply valued and respected that site. I’d understand why the other three guests would feel safe-ish (as we know the 19 year old didn’t want to go but went for Father’s Day since his dad loved the Titanic) after seeing Nargeolet was also attending.

Why tf did he get on that submersible though? Even James Cameron was baffled by his decision to go. Like the guy knew the dos and donts of subs going this deep. So it might be nerdy, but I’m a little heartbroken about this. The Titanic historian community has lost a valuable member all because of some dumbfuck’s hubris.

No, I don’t care about celebrities' opinions, and here’s why for those who care to read for some reason.

They could care less about anyone else. If it’s not profiting them, why would they care? They get paid to be in la la land. They get paid to speak for certain politicians and groups and whatever is society gnat like brain decides is important for the week. I don’t care about their opinions or political stance or anything else about them because they don’t care about anything else either, want to know why I think this? What have they done to actually help anyone else other than give a small profit away to look somewhat decent or ask their fan base for money?

So no, I don’t give a fuck about what Taylor Swift says or Tom Cruise says. I watch the movies that entertain me and listen to the albums that I feel something for, other than that why would I listen to them?

Hey so I’m actually capable of caring about the environment and going to a concert sometimes! You do not know me personally you have no idea about my concern for the environment! If you’d paid attention to my blog at all though you’d know that I’m very much a leftist and I’m not the kind of Taylor Swift fan that just blindly defends her no matter what. I have never once defended the carbon emissions she’s produced. I have made many posts calling out Taylor when I feel it’s necessary. I am capable liking someone’s music and also recognising that they are flawed. I can engage with my interests with a critical lens. Also wtf do you mean “worried about buying out her concert tickets”????? I’m not worried about her ticket sales at all??? I’m literally just trying to be nice and let people know that there are new tickets on sale for those who missed out. This is an insane thing to send someone who was literally just letting people know about a ticket sale. Jesus Christ.
