I'm going to be doing Ivaenian Culture! I don't share enough about them tbh.

It depends on Social Class and Generation. The Older Generations tending to have a more dry sense of humor, though the older commoners will also poke fun at the nobility. Where as younger generations have tend to have a more self depreciating humor. The younger generation of nobility being a bit more self aware of their status compared to those of the less fortunate, will make jokes at their own expense, though it tends to still be an insult to the commoners.

Popular literature would be mystery with horror elements, Classics are the legends of the gods of old, the gods, the ancient heroes and the legends of the founding of House Altrium (propaganda isn't below the kings of dawn unfortunately)

School for children don't exist in Ivaenia. It's either you're parents or family teaches you, or your rich enough to afford a tutor, or several for different subjects. Those who can afford a tutor are taught the basics, reading, writing, math, history, and some basic's of science and alchemy. Anything more than that and you're either really well off, or your an heir to something that needs a deeper understanding. Most times both.

The word il'asolario will often have the prefix "il" be dropped asolario which isn't a word and is slang. Il'asolario is basically a polite way to tell someone to eat, or give them permission to eat.

I don't have recipes but they eat a lot of venison. They eat in stew, as jerky, served with roasted vegetables and drizzled with gravy.

There's a few toy makers in the bigger cities, but if your poor and live in a small village, you might get a hand me down doll or figure until you're old enough to be put to work.

The bear wrestling maiden who later birthed and nursed 2 bear cubs come to mind. No one ever recalls that one until the kids are put to bed and anyone respectable has gone to bed.

on stage, he wouldn't seem as if he just had a fight with his significant other, although he kept on thinking about his electronic device, and if it had buzzed with a message of yours. he definetely acted flirty with the camera, sending flying kisses or winks in hopes you were watching it at home and you knew they were for you.

seeing your messages on his lockscreen made his face lit up instantly, which even if he knew he would be made fun of later, he couldn't care less.

on stage, he would be the sungchan everyone knew and loved, however, on backstage he would be (for the couple minutes they have) pouty, with his eyebrows furred and maybe even moody.

his teammates would probably need to take part in it by telling him how much you miss him. then he would call you with all his confidence built up and he would curse them out loud for setting him up.

"well, now that i've called you, let's just fix things okay? i miss you and i dont want to be abroad while having an on-going fight with you"

either spam messages or he would go silent because he'd be too scared to say something or do things to worsen the situation. however; he wouldn't wait for you to make the first step.

would deadass indirectly tell you things during his speech "don't forget to tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them, no matter if you're arguing or phisically distant from each other.."

would leave everyone stunned and would low-key be very proud of himself when he would see your message "call me when you have some time x"

another boy with speeches however, he would take your arguing as a possibility to get you back, so he would put up a romantic act just for you to see (even if he was in front of thousands of people)

woulnd't be too worried because he was confident in deeply knowing you. he knew how you acted when you were mad and how he was supposed to act

he would be lost. not only about what to do, but not talking to you and being currently not in good terms, it wrecked his routine and his "normality" so he wouldn't be sure on what to do.

i feel like he would need to talk it out with another member to ask for advice on how to make things right. he would be too shy to act bold by hismelf, so that's why he recurred to talk with euseok during the flight. even if the older member told him to just call you and have a proper conversation (which he of course would do) he dedided to add his own touch.

during the concert, he would say some words or constructions you usually used and poses and gestures you usually made. he just wanted to show you that even if he hadn't reached out, he kept you wiht him everywhere, everytime, no matter what.

if he did really had to leave (or they just obligated him), he would be all the time sending you reassuring messages about how much he loves you, or maybe some memes to make you laugh.

on stage, he would be bubblier and happier than usual, but he would go viral for singing a snippet of 'the reason' of hoobastank. when the fans would ask him later on about why did he choose to sing it, he would dismiss the topic by saying that he just felt like it.

Soap x m reader x Ghost

There was some parts that get a little heated in here.

The sound of paper flipping filled the room well Price watched Ghost read over a file of a man that Price thought would be a nice asset to 141, the file being on a guy named y/n. Price wanted a second opinion on recruiting him, he didn’t have as much experience in the field that being the only reason for Price hesitating he didn’t want to feel responsible for sending a man to death. A sigh left Ghost's lips before he spoke. “I think it’s a bad idea having some bloke that hasn’t been in the field that long. His skills seem useful, good for in and out missions that need to be fast and quiet. Says he’s crazy good with a pistol and a good shot. It would be a gamble, Captain.” Ghost finished.” We can have a trial run then, during a mission you can tell me how he does he’ll be with you.” Price finished speaking as he lit up a cigar, he didn't miss the glare that Ghosts dark brown eyes gave him. Price knew Ghost well enough to know Ghost wasn’t happy about that, he’d rather work alone.

It didn’t take long for the others to get the news that a new member might join their team, Soap was the most excited about it then others. He was a social man. Why wouldn’t he be excited about someone new to yap to.

Ghost and Soap layed down on the small bed provided to them by the base, Ghosts fingers went through Soaps hair playing with it gently. The Scottish man rested his body on top of Ghosts bigger one.”Simon, look at me, what are you thinking about?” Soap asked softly, finding Simon's other hand intertwining their fingers together. Soap kissed Simon's hand gently, his blue eyes looking up at the man he lays on. ”Simon answer me, I can’t read your mind”. Soap spoke with a bit of a smile on his lips.”I’m not looking forward to the new bloke” Simon mumbled. Soap gave a small chuckle. “ Who would have guessed?” Soap teased.

Simon rolled his dark brown eyes at him.”I’m babysitting him on a mission.” Ghost grumbled a little pissy about it.” Rather it be just you and yourself huh Ghost?”. Soap spoke, tilting his head to the side slightly. “Never Johnny, not when you’re with me”. Simon kissed Soap's hand, in hopes of just sitting In silence now he didnt want to talk about this any more he knew with Soap it could go on for hours talking about the same thing. ”I’m sure you won’t be babysitting Simon, just don’t leave the poor guy behind and have him hike through a town full of enemies with you telling bad jokes. Think that better be reserved for me”. Soap said jokingly.

Simon couldn’t help but roll his eyes. His hope of shuting Soap up went out the window.” Shut up Johnny. let’s just call it a night, silence no more yapping ”. Simon spoke in a gruff voice. He was being blunt about what he wanted so there was no room for this to drag on. “ I do not yapp.” Soap spoke. “ Mactavish. Bed time.” Simon said not leaving it open for an argument. Saop let out a huff he hated that Ghost would pull out his last name to get him to listen, but to be fair it did always work.

The day y/n arrived on base to meet with 141.” You must be Y/n, good to have you. Im Captian John Price, these are my men LT Ghost. My sargents Soap or John Mactavish, and Gaz his real name is Kyle Garick.” Price spoke as he shook your hand fearmly. Y/n shook Gaz’s hand next and then Soap following suit. As Y/n went to shake Ghosts hand he didnt move Ghost only looked down at Y/n his dark brown eyes not giving a thing away about what the man was thinking.

Y/n put his weight on a different foot as he put his hand down feeling uncomfortable now. “ Its a pleasure to meet you all.” Y/n spoke. “ Ay dont mind the Ghost he's always like that, like a big scary dog he wont bite we promise.” Soap spoke with a warm smile and a light chuckle. Y/n smiled back slightly feeling a bit better about the previous interaction.

Price lit up a cigar and cleared his throat.” Gonna have you run through some drills, get a look at what you can do. Your files say a lot of good things about you, lets see if there true.” He said, his voice as gruff as always as he took a puff of his cigar. Y/n nodded his head in agrement, he was still nervous slightly. I mean who wouldnt be it was a great opportunity for the job he worked in, a good advancement.

Price had Y/n run the basics including a room clearing exercise, at least he got to choose the guns he preferred. It wasn’t surprising to Price when Y/n chose a pistol as his second weapon his primary being a vel 46 a SMG that offers high mobility and a fast firing rate, with those guns being lightweight it wasn’t a big surprise y/n was in and out with the optical course.

All of 141 watched Y/n intently when completing these tasks, he felt one pair of eyes more then others. The dark cold gaze of Ghosts brown eyes held firmly on Y/n. With a quick glance up at the platform that gave a over view of the optical course Y/n made eye contact with Ghost for a split second his arms were crossed as he looked down at Y/n. Giving a good view of Ghosts well built arms, Y/n shook his head to clear his thoughts.

Y/n was nervoues with all of the men looking at him watching his every step he made. Yet Y/n got distracted by Ghosts arms, but at least he thought he did decently at the very least. But Y/n eventually got the all clear from Price, he’d be sent off on a mission with them soon maybe in a week or two at the most.

Despite Y/n proving himself that didn't stopped Ghost from watching Y/n whenever Ghost got the chance, it didnt matter if Y/n went on a run or when Y/n went to the shooting range.Ghosts dark brown eyes could almost always be felt glued on Y/n, did Ghost just not trust him yet? Did Y/n do something wrong? Hell if he knew, but he knew one thing Ghost was always watching him it made Y/n feel uneasy.

Even in Ghost's company neither one would speak much at all and with Ghost's wicked side eye it didn’t make it any easier starting up a little chat. Y/n let out a soft sigh.” So how are you doing?” Y/n asked Ghost. Try to lessen the tension in the air. Ghost glanced at Y/n for a moment.” Fine.” Ghost spoke bluntly. The hope to lesson the tension in the air only for it to fail.

The silence was awful, but luck was on Y/n’s side as Soap walked a few minutes latter. The Scottish man went straight up to Ghost putting his hand on his shoulder leaning into Ghosts body slightly. “ Ghost isnt giving you any trouble is he?” Soap spoke teasingly.” No, he’s um. Fine I guess.” Y/n said as he sat back in his chair. Soap chuckled lightly, causing Ghost’s dark brown eyes to sparkle ever so slightly as his eyes went to Soap. That being the first time Y/n seeing Ghost’s eyes being anything but cold. “ He’s not a big talker, just ignore his grumpy ass. Both of you should warm up to eatch other eventually.” Soap said, as he gave Ghost’s shoulder a squeeze. “ Bloody hell, piss off Johnny.” Ghost said. “ You wish.” Soap responded.

Y/n looked at both of the men they seemed close, and he hadn't heard anyone else call Soap Johnny.

But besides the barrier with Ghost that was almost always up whenever Soap wasn't in the picture. However it was easy sailing with the rest of the team. As far as the team could tell Y/n wasn’t a big talker, more of a listener.

At least at dinner things were more comfortable, it was always filled with chatter and complaining.” I'm tired”. Soap said, leaning into Ghost. Witch Ghost seemed to ignore. However seeing the opportunity Y/n let a smile spread across his face.”Hi tired, I'm dad.” Y/n said. Causing Soap to burst out laughing hitting his knee on the table in the process. Ghost let out a sigh he put his hand on his balaclava in defeat, he’s lost his Johnny to a dad joke of all things. Gaz just smiled, he was amused at Soap hurting himself in such a simple way. Soap wasnt very good at not getting hurt. Price gave you a firm pat on the shoulder with a shake like a father would do. “ Good one.” Price said with a warm smile.

Ever since that dinner Soap found himself spending more time with Y/n always hoping to catch more of those shitty jokes.

Ghost wasnt found that Soap spent more time with Y/n he felt a little possessive over Johnny. He often joined the two of you, sometimes telling a dark joke of his own during any conversation, what was surprising to him was when you responded with laughter. Ghost wasn’t used to most people laughing at his jokes besides Soap on the rare occasions. It surprised him, Y/n seemed like a quite polite guy not the type to laugh at dark jokes.

The night before the mission that Y/n and Ghost were supposed to go on. Ghost and Soap laid in their shared bed. Soap leaning into Ghost's bareback, well his arms held Ghost close. ”Still think you need to babysit the guy?” Soap asked. ” You aren't going to let that go Johnny aren't you?” Ghost replied.”Nope.” Soap said as his hot breath was on Ghost's back caused Simon to arch his back slightly.”I think y/n will be fine he’s more capable then I thought, now cut that out Johnny.” Simon spoke softly.”Cut what out?”.Soap smiled. Soap purposely blowing hot air on Simon's back, well moving his hands to his hips well placing small kisses on his back. ” I mean it Soap, cut it out or you’ll sleep alone tonight I got a briefing tomorrow and I don't need to be sore in the morning.” Simon's threat didn’t work on Soap clearly.” I’m sure Y/n would let me sleep with him, maybe he’s a cuddler.” Soap knew he was playing a dangerous game, Ghost didn’t like to share.

Ghost turned around looking at Johnny before and kissed him deeply he ended up stradling Soap as he kissed him some more there breaths were heavy. “ Behave Johnny. I need to get up early maybe when I get back I'll let have me.” Ghost spoke his voice was a little more rough from his breathing.” Ok I’ll stop, I'll sleep, I can do that.”Soap said finally giving up.

When the mission did come the two of them just needed to get some data from a pc a quick in and out mission. And for the most part it was an in and out mission everything was going good to good. Almost out of the building with the data you secured Ghost ahead of you making sure the path was clear you saw a man creeping up behind Ghost, you couldn’t shoot the man there was a risk that the bullet would pass through and hit Ghost. Running up to the man grabbing him from behind kicking the back of his knees pulling the guys head back before you beat the back of the guys head in with your pistol. “Bloody Hell that was close, good one.” Ghost said. As his eyes looked at Y/n’s bloody hands. Everything was good after that the only fuck up being a dead guy giving a trace the two of you were there.

After the mission giving the data to Price and the report. Ghost went his separate way for the most part. But that didn’t last long after a nice warm shower Y/n was making his way back to his room only to see Ghost again this time with Soap. Y/n eyes stared at the two Ghosts mask moved up slightly with Soaps thumb as Soap kissed the lieutenant deeply holding the back of his head to deepen it more as if never wanting to let go. They made soft noises as they kissed. Y/n watched for a moment It shouldn’t have hurt he knew that the two had something going on just didn’t know it was that, the best course of action was to quickly turn around and go somewhere else y/n had some thinking to do he felt like an idiot after all it was stupid he like Soap it was so stupid that he thought he had a chance with him. Soap was a catch sweet charming easy to talk to and get along with, and a lovely smile.

Soap pulled away from Ghost he licked his lips in the process. He didn't notice that you were there to see both of them kissing.”Johnny can we talk about Y/n for a bit.” Ghost asked, they moved into their bedroom for more privacy.” What about Y/n Simon?” Soap said as he ran his fungers down Simon’s chest.” Were you joking about sleeping with him, be honest with me Johnny.” Simon spoke his dark brown eyes looking into Johnnys blue ones.” You want to talk about sleeping with him? When you can be sleeping with me right know.” Soap spoke quietly. His eyes looking Simons body up and down.” Johnny be a good boy and answer me.” Simon said stoping Soaps hands from squeezing his chest. Soap let out a sigh.” I mean he’s small good looking wouldnt mind fucking that man. He’s quite you think he’s the type to whimper?” Soap said. Ghost took his mask off and threw it on the floor before pushing Soap onto the bed. His body hit the mattress as Soaps smiled and looked up at Ghost. ”You want me to find out if he’s up joining us huh big boy.” Soap said as Simon crawled on top of him.” More or less. I’m willing to share you, Johnny, if Y/n wants he’s a pretty little thing.” Ghost spoke. Before kissing Soap. “Until then why don't you have me?” Soap spoke as he hooks his legs around Simon’s body.

you, oblivious to their intentions, started putting your flip flops on. as you weren't looking, leo shot a look at the smirking teenagers he calls his friends. piper and frank were showing thumbs up for support. while jason and percy gave him a knowing look. leo saw annabeth mouthing "now or never" to him.

he put his attention back on to you and nodded, heading to the corner shop with you next to him. he glanced back to his friends one last time, seeing them look at the pair walking off and cheering for leo, but silently of course, so you wouldn't suspect anything.

after you two have bought the snacks and drinks the friendgroup wanted, you head back to the beach.

leo noticed the group playing volleyball again, and used to opportunity to confess now. He stopped walking, standing at this area.

you didn't think much of it and nodded, walking closer to where leo was standing.

-When they first meet again in the manga, they throw some silly jokes at each other (like Dazai asking Chuuya if he's hiding a bald spot. And Chuuya just taking his hat off to show him he's, in fact, not balding)

-In the manga when Chuuya calls Dazai the youngest mafia executive, in his mind Dazai is wearing his ADA clothes but keeps the black coat and the bandaged eye. I think it's a very silly detail

-In the anime, in anger Chuuya actually cuts Dazai's cheek with his knife. In the manga, the moment he starts getting angry he jumps away from Dazai and then throws the knife to the floor, not touching him at all

-Manga Chuuya falls to his knees (basically standing on all 4s), having a lil crisis after realizing Dazai only stayed in the dunegon to meet him. He gets up in a while, just to yet again squat on the floor after Dazai yapps more

-Obviously the pigeon-stand scene: in the manga Dazai is laughing to tears at this, while in the anime he stays silent. (Tho i must say i find it funny that Chuuya gets angry over Dazai not laughing,, like he tried so hard and this guy just :| him)

-When Dazai nullifies John's ability, in the anime Chuuya just kicks Steinbeck from behind. In the manga, skk perform that silly move where Chuuya jumps from behind Dazai. It just shows how even after 4 years of not working with each other, they instantly work together as well as before

-Skk arguing about who's walking next to who like some preschoolers ('dont walk next to me' 'its you who's standing next to me' typa thing) then deciding that they're gonna stay at least 2 metres away from each other

-The manga clearly shows Chuuya's expression when he's talking about 'being happy when Dazai left'. He definitely doesn't look very happy. (In the anime we just get some background drawings)

JEDTAVIUS HEADCANONS

(My need to yapp about these two and the things in my head are to strong so i'll let it be here)

Octavius is built well (mostly becouse of all the training with his legion) he has them big titties AND ass in their relationship. He is strong and can carry Jed like a bag of grapes.

Jed on the other side is slim, he's very agile. He is also slightly taller than the roman and he rubs it in his face as much as he can. Jed is faster than the roman and better at climbing things, becouse Oct is built more 'heavy' and he has his armor.

Jed would never take his gloves off, it took him time, several years to be exact, to trust Oct about touching skin to skin

Oct is VERY clingy, like if he could he would NEVER let go of Jed (Jed was wery uncomfortable with the touch at first, but getting comfy with Octavius' gentle hugs and touches didn't take long)

Octo also had several things he had been uncomfortable about. It revolved mostly around his armor. He would NEVER, and I mean never take off his chestplate, nor his helm (mostly becouse he was scared of being attacked, some trauma from his previous life before the museum)

Jed likes to call Oct nicknames, some of them would be: Oct, Octopus, Vius, Sugar, Starlight ect. When Oct calls him latin names: Cara mia, Carissime, sidus and more more

Also, Octo speaks latin when flustered, and Jed's Accent gets thicker.

It was Jed who kissed Octo first, but right after the kiss he runned away. Oct tried to catch him but failed. Jed runned becouse he didn't know what was going on inside his head, and what had he done, and what was the feeling in his chest and his whole body (Jed was raised on the time period when being gay was NOT ALLOWED). Finally Oct caught up with him and comforted him. That's when Octo told Jed that he loves him.

Jed loves to play with Octavius' hair, the moment he saw them out of his helm his hand ITCHED to get his fingers inbetween those thick dark curls, slightly graying on his temples.

What Max got Daniel for Christmas.

Tidings I bring

So far Christmas has been topnotch, he had gone for a run fully rugged up because holy fuck it was cold for a Perth Christmas morning. But the rising sun that had lit up the sky a beautiful orange had made it worth it. It felt like he was the only person in the world, running alone on the pavement, the trees changing colour as the sun had risen higher.

The only thing that had shattered the illusion of him being the only person in the world had been an old man with a giant ass dog that had sent him running across the road to the safety of a pedestrian pathway without a pony sized dog. Sure, the man had said with a giant smile that she was harmless but Daniel wasn't trusting any stranger's dog.

He had gotten back to his parents' place unaccosted by any other canine. Had a shower, and moved to the kitchen to empty the dishwasher and put stuff away in the correct cupboards, and then made himself a coffee with his parents’ new coffee machine.

His mum had walked in while he was finishing his coffee. She gave him a peck on the cheek and murmured, “Merry Christmas,” as she started getting things out for christmas breakfast.

He helped his mum with breakfast. Well, he helped by getting the fancy Christmas breakfast plates and cutlery from the back of the higher cabinets, washed the fruits, and yappes at her as she went about making delicious cheesy chicken sandwiches and sliced fruits.

Once the prep work was done, Daniel made them both an espresso.

Grace' lips had quirked up at the corner when she took a sip and tasted the grappa. The two of them sat at the kitchen bench, drinking their nicely boozed up espresso as they looked out the sliding doors into the garden dusted by sunlight. These were the moments he had missed the most when he had been away, the quiet moment with his family, with his mum, just existing together with people that loved him without reservation, no matter how much he fucked up.

These were the perfect moments.

He looked at the small mug in his hands, and thought about telling his mum that he was sorry that he had never won a World Championship. He was never going to get another chance because he was done. But this, here in the quiet kitchen of his parents home, surrounded by childhood memorabilia and the love of his mother, he was at peace with it.

He let the thought go, there would be a better time for it later. He has all the time now.

His phone pinged, he looked at his phone and frowned at the message.

MAXMILLIAN ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Are you at your parents’?

Daniel gnawed his lips as he typed out a response. Barely noticing his mum standing out to check the sandwiches.

DR3: yeah…❓❓❓

MAXMILLIAN ⭐⭐⭐⭐: It will be big.

“Anything important?” Grace asked.

Daniel blinked and smiled back, “All good. Just Max nailing out the details for my Christmas present.”

Grace’ raised a brow but didn't say anything else, just started to plate the cheesy deliciousness that Daniel couldn't wait to bite into.

Daniel hated the dumb wooden chairs for the outdoor dining, but they were having their Christmas lunch/dinner outside, and Daniel was the one that ended up with the job of getting them from the shed. Getting them wasn't the problem, the problem was having to dust off the damn cobwebs, and deal with the spiders and whatever else that had made their home on them. Urgh.

He should have swapped with his dad and started up the barbeque.

“Daniel.”

And oh look, now he was having auditory hallucinations, because that sure sounded like Max Verstappen calling his name. Which would be fucking ridiculous, the man would be at home at Christmas with his cookie cutter ready to go fa-

“Daniel.”

And fuck that was definitely Max's voice and his way of saying his name, ‘Danyul’. Daniel abandoned the stare off he had going with a spider, not like it mattered since the spider didn't even acknowledge his presence, and whipped around so fast he almost lost his balance. And standing on the steps of the his parents’ outdoor decking was Max fucking Verstappen in a short sleeved, oh my fucking god, Enchanté Parts & Services tee that Daniel had sent him but never thought he would wear, and and a pair of black shorts.

What in the name of his deeply buried sex dreams was happening?! (Okay, so most of them were honestly embarrassing soft fantasies about spending time together and doing super sappy things together, but that was not the point, Daniel). Oh, Max’s hair was looking good.

And oh yeah, speaking was required, “Max,” his voice sounded croaky, which he blamed how dry his throat had gotten. “Hi!” And that was much better.

“Hi Daniel,” Max said, voice soft and happy. Smile blooming across his face.

And Daniel felt his own face spreading with a giant smile in return. Max was here. Max was here! Max was here in his parents’ home on Christmas day!

They stood there looking at each other, smiles growing larger by the seconds. Before it could get awkward, his mum's cough broke the moment.

Daniel turned to look at her, eyes slowly blinking, he felt a bit dazed, must be the sunlight. His mum was looking at them with barely contained amusement, Daniel dimly noted that his dad was looking through the kitchen window. And oh yeah, there were other people around, and there were going to be more, over twenty people that were going to be invading the Ricciardo household for Christmas.

And oh my fucking god, Max was here at his parents' house on Christmas.

“Max, come in and have a gin and tonic. I got a nice brand I think you would love,” Grace said as she ushered Max into the house, throwing a pointed look at Daniel. And Daniel has no clue what to do but follow them back inside.

Daniel walked into the kitchen and noticed the giant fucking white box on the kitchen dining table. It had to have been half a metre tall and thirty centimetres wide. Standing next to it were two strangers, a man and a woman dressed in some sort of pale green uniform. They both had very polite customer smiles on their faces.

His dad was standing on the other side of the table, looking at it with a combination of suspicion and interest, Grace walked by without a glance and went straight to the liquor cabinet to grab the gin that she had promised Max.

Daniel looked at the box for several seconds before turning to look at Max. He waved at the thing with his hands, speechless.

Max's face was slightly pink as he rubbed the back of his head, and then looked up tentatively.

“Daniel, you didn't tell me what you wanted for Christmas, and I naturally wanted to get you something special. So.” He gestured at whatever the fuck that was.

“Uh,” Daniel uttered.

“So I thought about it, and had this made. But I wanted it to be fresh so it had to be made yesterday, and then I flew here from Monaco with it. Oh, and that's James and Louise, I was worried of something going wrong so I naturally had them accompa-”

“Wait. What. What do you mean something going wrong?” Daniel interrupted. How dangerous could his present be?

“Excuse me,” Louise politely interjected. “Perhaps it would be best if we show you?”

Max smiled, “Yes. That would be of course excellent.”

Daniel just nodded his head.

Louise and James brought out the box that had been hiding behind the giant whatever it was on the table. They opened it and retrieved a knife each, and before Daniel could panic they cut the strings tied around the box.

Max had moved next to Danie, his shoulder brushing Daniel's, and they had shared another smile before turning their attention to the unboxing. Grace had handed Max the promised gin and tonic, and moved next to Joe, the two of them sharing a bemused look as they looked upon two strangers unboxing a large box on their dining table.

It took several minutes to remove the strings carefully, and James had to stand up on the kitchen chair to get to the strings at the top. The card box came off slowly, and it took several seconds before Daniel realised what it was.

He distantly heard the soft gasp from his mum and exhale of, “fuck,” from his dad. And Daniel’s brain was obviously failing to comprehend anything.

Because on his fucking table was a giant sized replica of the World Championship trophy.

“Is that a cake?” Grace asked.

“Yes,” Max answered.

Daniel whipped his head around to stare at Max who was already looking at Daniel, waiting.

“It is a cheesecake,” Max said, ramping up to his full Max-explain mode, hands making gestures to emphasise his point. “The outside is a combination of white chocolate and buttercream, because of course fondant would be disgusting.” His nose scrunched up in disgust. “And Daniel, I did not wish to share a cheesecake with you and your loved ones with a bad tasting cake.”

And Daniel knew his face was doing something weird, he had always shown too much, unable to hide his emotions when it became too much. And this was too much. This was Max bringing him a piece of one of his best moments in life to share with Daniel and his loved ones. This was Max remembering a dumb present from years as a joke even though the sentiment of sharing it with each was all too real. This was Max coming to Perth, to his parents' home on Christmas day. This was Max making a fucking a statement but still giving Daniel a way out if he didn't want to acknowledge whatever they had been dancing around with for years now.

And Daniel could be cautious, could be cowardly, could make a joke, and Max would blink and then smile and move on. But Daniel was tired of being afraid, Daniel was tired of denying what had been brewing between them, and Daniel didn't want Max to stand there and wait for Daniel to be brave.

He moved, stunned Max in the middle of explaining how he had wanted the cake to be bigger, grabbed him by the back of his head and pulled and he leaned in. Daniel had thought about what it would have been like to kiss Max for years now, and he finally let himself have what he has wanted. His mouth met Max’s open mouth, and he kissed him deep. Max was only surprised for a second, he had responded almost straight away, hands going around Daniel's waist, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss. For a kiss years in the making it was incredibly soft and gentle. Both of them were aware how precious this was.

It was simply lovely.

When they finally pulled apart they were smiling like idiots at each other. They could have stood there looking at each forever if it wasn't interrupted.

“James and Louise, would you like to stay for lunch?” Grace asked from somewhere behind Daniel.

And fuck, Daniel’ eyes widened in horror as he realised he had just forgotten about his parents. Max’s eyes had also gone wide, mouth hanging open, and Daniel couldn't help it, Max truly did look like Sid the Sloth. He started cackling, had to leave heavily against Max and hold on or else he was going to fall over laughing.

Max pulled him in tighter and started giggling uncontrollably.

Best Christmas ever.

all this to say, mike can lie. hes not a high fantasy elf. something i feel is a big disconnect between bylers and milevens is that milevens tend to read most things at face value. just bc you say you love someone doesnt mean you do.

when mike is mad at will for not paying attention to him at rink o mania he actively brings it up. he actively pursues will and expresses his frustration over will being dismissive. he is visably upset. on the other hand, in the last ep of s4, mike doesnt even bring up el until will does. he seems mildly annoyed and confused about the situation and makes no moves to pursue her or seek out resolution. he makes no moves to comfort her about max ever. he doesnt walk with her, he doesnt hug her. nothing. the only affection between then is when EL puts her head on mikes sholder. mike makes no moves to comfort her more but he doesnt push her away. this is also right after mike activly began walking sideways to be able to stand next to will when there was an open space for him to stand right next to el im front of him. odd.

however; when you heard his faint footsteps on the floor the night of the 24th, you could tell he had an ace up his sleeve he didn't want to tell you about. the next morning, when you saw the shoe box you were happy to know you were right, however, on the inside despite it's appearence, there was a brand new high-end phone, as your had broken a week before and you were using your old one while it was getting repaired.

there was also a paper that, from what you could calculate, there were two weeks from the first tiket and the second. on the paper, the ink was drawing your dream, two weeks in milan.

after joking on how he was your one and only present, he walked over to your wardrobe, and when he opened it, you found something very different and noticeable from yesterday when you went to sleep. your whole wardrobe had changed.

Imagine Kayden Break as the type of person who tends to be very vocal and physical whenever we was annoyed, doing the best of his abilities to prove the other person wrong and it is not like that would change when you were around, but in comparison whenever you are around and he was pissed, he was still very provocative and physical but this time, he was more collected and calm which is far more dangerous.

So just imagine what could possibly happened if Kayden was pissed and annoyed, but so you are. "I hate that bitch, have you seen their face? They're acting all over you like I wasn't there. What the fuck do they take me for?" You were fumming and he new better than to let his mode get the best of him. In cases where you are nowhere near calm, the other has to be which happened to be him. Kayden Break was never the one with patience to deal well with others, most of the time he was used to being by himself, act by himself. But things were different when you are around. With you, he knew better than to let his annoyance get the best of him, specially when you are annoyed too.

Imagine Kartien tends to never listen on what the other person was saying. Sure he looks like he was listening, but trust me, he is not listening to a single thing at all. He is a narcissist. This man, oh heavens, he only listen to himself. Of course it was different when it comes it you, a bit.

It is quite expected that Kartien would rant whenever he was annoyed. You were used to this, and he was rarely annoyed because he was busy being the menace doing whatever he wants just like a certain maniac somwhere else busy picking up a fight. But whenever Kartien is annoyed. He rant, he rants nonstop, making it obvious how displeased he is, and most of the time you would just listen to this. But today was one of those days where both of you were not in the mood, he was pissed, and so are you and you are not in the mood for his rants of whatever shit he was talking about.

You have been trying to mind uour own business now that you are not in the mood for conversation. You have also made it quite obvious due to the act that you have no absolute interest on whatever Kartien was talking about. You are annoyed, but the last thing you want to fight Kartien as it looks like he was annoyed too. You are trying to be the bigger person as you tried your best to not let things go on a much bigger mess especially when you, yourself is pissed too. But he was having none of it. "Are you even listening to what I'm saying?" "Yeah yeah." "Well it doesn't look like it." "Well what do you want me to do Kartien?"

Things often get too ugly for you and his liking whenever the two of you lose your patience with other things and then to one another. Because once again, Kartien, most of time only listen to himself and no one else and those things does not change overnight just because you now happened to be in his life. So the two of you would get into fight whenever you two lose you patina around each other. It is mostly on his for not listening and letting his frustration get the best of him.

Kartien, unlike Kayden who would prefer to lose the argument than to let the fight going for sometime, would insist his points and perspective and you would end up letting him be, you would always be the one to lower the flag and call the fight off saying it is not worth the fight at the end of the day. It has always been the like that. Kartien always gets what he wants without lowering himself. He would rant and rant and rant and at the end of the day even if you were pissed you would always listen to him.

Kartien though that just like any other day, he would have things on his way. That's what he thought untill you strted crying. You were telling him to shut up, just be quiet, be quiet for a goddamn moment, just a moment but he continue to rant. He could tell that you look tired, like something has been going on inside your mind, you look like you have a lot of thoughts yet he ignore them. So when you sat down in mid conversation and lower your head, he thought that once again he has things on his way untill he heard you sniff in silence. He stopped. He was left stunned.

Sniff. Kartien flinch unknowingly. You never cried. You never cried or at least, not in front of him. "Why did you stop?" He was about to speak, but once you look up and he saw tears running down your face, his open mouth closes automatically. "Why did you stop? Hiccup. You never stopped no matter how much I tell you to shut the fuck up. Go on, continue." You said in tears, glaring at him. "You only listen to yourself. Go on, Kartien, continue."

You continue after that, you cried and rant to him all of your frustration, him and other things. And he just sat there, looking at you in silence. He was looking at you intensely as if studying you the same way he was looking at his researches. You were pointing fingers at him, letting hims the things that was going on your mind and the things that frustrate you the most right now, him. For the first time in his life, Kartien got the taste of his own medicine. He blink, then he let out a sign just in time for you to get finish, calming down already.

You on the other hand, realizing what just happened, the way you explode into fit of madness flinch at the way he sigh. "Sit." He said and you did. Sitting on the opposite side of him. And then he stood up causing you to hold up your breath as you saw him slowly approaching you. Then without a word, he kneel down in front of you, causing you to gasp and was about to speak when he reach out for your hand. Only then did you realise it was bleeding.

There was nothing but silence as yellow light emits on his hand that slowly heal your wounds. And even after he finished treating it, he shows no signs of letting go until he speaks all of a sudden. "You're not allowed to get tired of me." "You know that's not my intention Karti-" "So you're allowed to scream and talk sense to me once in a while." He squeeze your hand looking away once you decided to look at him. "Really? You're not mad? That's new." "There is nothing I can do about mental health anyways-" "Yah!"

That was the day Kartien knew he could never win against your tears even if he was never the one the admit it. And even though such arguments have came up after that, Kartien now knew how to listen. You see, Kartien have always think he was perfect, but if such imperfections would cause you happiness, perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad thing. After all, the last thing he wanted to see was you ever crying again.

Veins get tighter when he said those words to her. They were supposed to give her strength but they didn't. Those veins only became loose when he said "You have to fight" "fight!"

We had somewhat similar situation with Max aswell but the difference is that she gets flashback with everyone especially with Lucas. But El? No she doesn't.

They had perfect chance to prove us that we were delusional and M is actually endgame but they didn't. They could've given flashbacks like -

Both Wheelers sitting on same side having soda cans near them and venting to Byers about how they can't say ily to their partners (+ Nancy and Jonathan are together now). Let's not forget about the Rockie scene where it was being directly paralleled to Byler van scene. And Vickie and Mike were on same position while on other hand Robin and Will were on same position.

This all doesn't make a bit of sense unless it is intentional.

First thing out of the way, because I’m gonna yapp a LOT about Dressrosa, is that the pacing in the manga helps digesting everything that happens here so much better, and I genuinely believe that after getting through the horrendously paced Dressrosa in the anime, you should pick the manga up even for just this arc, the anime did it a disservice

The arc starts of with an apparent choice being made by Doflamingo, he forfeits his warlord status he doesn’t actually but the straw hats and Law don’t know that. With that, we’re heading to the island to hand Caesar back, with the crew not knowing that all of this is actually a trap

It takes the crew about five seconds after making it to Dressrosa before half of them decide to head into the city. Cause again, screw the plan. In there, not only are we met with the weirdness of the country, from living toys to stories of fairies, but they also meet a blind man who’s shockingly strong. Who, soon enough, we’ll learn is an admiral. And I will say I love Fujitora’s character, as well as his introduction

Sanji has also went off somewhere, and what do you know he found a woman. Seriously tho I adore Viola, she seems to start off as a manipulator that works for the Donquixote Family, but thanks to Sanji’s kindness, she goes against her orders and we learn that she despises the Donquixote Pirates. Viola’s character is developed throughout the entire arc, but for now we have a picture of a hurt woman forced to work with the people who destroyed her country for the sake of it. Her relationship with Sanji is also incredibly sweet, and it makes me a bit sad that he leaves off pretty soon with half the Straw Hats

On a much lighter note! The comedy is still top tier. It doesn’t really matter who we’re currently watching, because every single group and person here has peak comedic moments, that also manage to pull the plot forward

And the plot of this arc is great from the very first moment it starts picking up pace. The reveal that Doflamingo is a former celestial dragon has been set up by Vergo already, so when it happens both the reader and Law can have some time of realisation. Doflamingo also continues to be more and more terrifying in his potrayal

The biggest hit to the pacing in Dressrosa, at least to me, that the anime somehow made even worse, are the Colosseum parts, as there’s about five characters that are actually interesting here and we’re getting introduced to so many of them. I don’t know how Oda could have handled this plot point better, but it’s what made me dread reading Dressrosa. One of the interesting characters here is Bellamy, who changed a lot from the last time we’ve seen him. He’s no longer the stuck up dream hating guy he was before, and now he actually has an arc of turmoil between his loyalty to Doflamingo, whom he idolises, and his new formed friendship with Luffy

Another incredibly interesting character to me is Rebecca, which right out of the way, I despise her design. I’ve hated it ever since I saw it and it pisses me off more the more I see it. Rebecca herself is a great character, right now we don’t know much about her, but she’s a sweetheart forced to fight for her life in the colosseum as a gladiator. And the more we learn about her, the more tragic her story becomes
