I had the INSANE IDEA of watching High School Musical 2 with my daughter (tbh we did a Marathon of all three movies, but the 2nd was the one that she enjoyed the most).

I thought I had forgotten all the steps for "Work this out" after having learned them with my baby sister when we watched the movie together years ago.

I WAS WRONG.

Back in middle school one of my favorite types of fics to read were reaction fics where the characters read/watch the story they’re from, and nowadays since I’ve been getting into danmei I can’t help but image these types of scenarios— especially for svsss.

Cause the idea of it alone is fucking funny to me. Typically the set up is always post-canon, or rarely before major events, but always without fail everyone is minding their business and suddenly they find themselves in this unknown space and having to engage in a apparent story about them.

Like you mean to tell me that key players in svsss are going to see how past events played out through SY!Sqq’s eyes??? That they suddenly have to grapple with the knowledge that he’s a transmigrator and has replaced the original Sqq for years yet have to quickly move on from that AND THEN LEARN that this man is not a levelheaded, peerless cultivator but an anxious guy who freaks the fuck out before going “fuck it we ball” and whose also oblivious to how others revere him.

It is nothing but clown hour in this scenario, no one is coming out of this unscathed. And oooh just wait until they get to the reveal about who Sqh actually is…

Very attached to the idea that if Percy had been a woman she would have been named Ariadne. Like, I know that Persephone is a popular fanon name for female Percy because it's a nice way to keep her nickname. I've also seen Andromeda used by some because she lives a long life with Perseus in the myths. But Sally would have at least considered it right? Because Ariadne's a popular female figure in mythology, linked to both Theseus and Dionysus, two other famous figures in mythology. She was a clever mortal princess who was dealt a bad hand because her father's arrogance allowed him to think that he could get away with defying a god, just like how Poseidon's arrogance allowed him to think that he could get away with breaking the pact he made with Zeus and Hades. And in the end, Ariadne survived both her family's legacy and Theseus's abandonment, becoming Dionysus's immortal wife in both the PJO universe and in many retellings of the myth of the Minotaur and Theseus in real life. Ariadne got to live out her happy ending just like how Perseus did in mythology, which is the main reason why Sally even gave Percy the name Perseus to begin with. Am I delusional to think that Sally would have given a female Percy the name Ariadne? Who the fuck knows. But I'm so attached to the idea that it literally just supersedes any other name I could have come up with

I was complaining to my husband that I can never think of anything super comedic for my hogans heroes fanfics and like the great husband that he is, he had be dying of laughter, so I present to you 2 absolutely hilarious ideas curtesy of my hubby ❤️

1. Klink and Shultz doing the bit from the Lion King where Timon and Pumba are distracting the hyenas.

Klink id dressed in a grass skirt and a lei made of random flowers from around camp and says Timon’s lines and Schultz does the yup yup lines of Schultz and they are trying to distract Hochstetter.

I know it’s out there and unrealistic and the logistics don’t make much sense, but the mental image had me laughing so hard I cried, so now you get to live with that image too!

2. If you’ve ever seen Bluey then you’ll get this, if not, google Bluey the grannies and this will make more sense.

So Newkirk and LeBeau are dressed like Rita and Janet with the glasses and towels and say “here come the grannies!” and essentially act like Rita and Janet.

I’m sure it’s more funny to me because I think my brain is slowly rotting away lol but again, because of how hard I laughed, I had to share it 😂

I honestly wish I could draw even just a little to a real visual to either of these because in my heart, they are funny as heck!

This episode is bonkers I love it. You can't convince me otherwise: Bones wanted to put this dress on himself! You'd believe he's flirting with Barrows. Not at all, this is platonic obviously. They're just good friends. McCoy supportive of his fem friends is a hill I'll die on: you wanna put a princess dress, he'll help you find one, you wanna wear a furry neon bra, he'll cheer you up during sewing, better, he'll put one himself.

Reading the Iliad and someone explain to me what the hell Achilles has against Andromache. He kills her father, kills seven brothers, ransoms off her mother (only for her to die as well) AND kills her husband. At some point is really has to be personal because there ain't no way. But gods forbid someone kill Patroclus nobody has ever felt such heartbreak ever. Ever. If that isn't bad enough his son then brutally kills her child like was it genetic. Nobody was out here having an awful time like women in the Illiad but god damn Andromache did not get a single break and we should acknowledge that more.
