Who else is there, CONFUSED about if they are an alterhuman , a therian or an otherkin for one of their types. I'm always confused on If im a bunny therian or an alterhuman or an other hearted or simply a rabbit otherkin.

So I've resolved to simply saying I'm a rabbit.

Little bunny, you're so soft and sweet! You make everyone smile when they see you, even if just a little. What do your fluffy ears hear in the world that make them perk up so high? I wonder what you've gotten your furry little claws into lately. On that note, have you been taking care of yourself and keeping your fur clean? You'll feel your best when you do, and it'll show to everyone around that you're doing well for yourself! I hope you see yourself in caring eyes like how the ones you love see you. Every time someone says “being a therian is just wishing you were your favorite animal” I can’t help but feel so frustrated. Because if it were true, then I’d be a cat!

As a kid, I always played cats on the playground. I was an avid warrior cat fan. I used to only draw cats. I even share some (stereotypical) traits with them! I’ve always loved seafood, I love milk, hell as a kid I even loved playing with actual cat toys. I would eat catmint from my friend’s garden to be like a cat. So much of my childhood was spent obsessing over these animals. I even wanted to be one. I wanted to be a cat so badly as a child.

But I’m not a cat. I’m a rabbit.

I’ve never obsessed over rabbits the way I did cats. I never cared much for them at all, actually. Rabbits were barely a thought in the back of my mind. They have never been my favorite animal once in my life.

Yet I AM one. Despite being more similar to and sharing a deeper love for cats, I am a rabbit. And that’s just how it is.

I even pondered if I was a feline therian because of my childhood connection to cats. I thought about it a lot, actually. But I just don’t feel the same way about cats as I do being a rabbit. It isn’t a “want” to be a rabbit. I AM a rabbit. It isn’t a question in my mind, it isn’t something I think about. It is just what I am. And no matter how much cats meant to me throughout my life, I simply do not share that same connection.

So no, therianthropy isn’t just “wishing you were your favorite animal.”
