Mmmm.. gonna draw my Vylad and Zenix and Laurance and Dante all go batshit crazy trying to figure out wtf happened to Garroth and Travis (and pals) during Starlight au

aka Dante and Laurance just figured out about the missing people over the news and Zenix saw it with Sasha and Gene, Vylad just got off of their plane from Europe (a large town in Gal’ruk with no internet access because how tf does the entire country of Europe exist in this universe) expecting their family but instead reads a newspaper about the Lycans

So Dante and Laurance are freaking out (Dante thought Garroth and Zane were on a camping trip with everyone else) and Zenix (who has a soft spot for Garroth bcs he taught him how to ride a bike, thanks Amnesia for that hc) makes a mad dash over to Laurance’s house only to find he isn’t there, then runs to Dante’s house and busts open the door much to Dante and Laurance’s surprise

Meanwhile Vylad is getting a whole bunch of nothing from trying to text people for the first time in months, their sibling gc has been quiet for months and even the Not Alone Buddies gc has been silent recently, not even a random meme or Travis selfie. So Vylad thinks of people close to their family and Laurance pops into their head immediately. Then follows Vylad trying to call him.

Cut to Dante is scolding Zenix for breaking into his house while Laurance’s phone rings, he picks it up and is extremely surprised to see Vylad calling him. The surprise goes away once he remembers the news cast and he answers.

Long story short Vylad arrives at Dante’s house as well, suitcase and all, and both Dante and Laurance get a surprise when Zenix immediately recognizes Vylad and they treat each other like old friends (because they are, Vylad got physically bullied once in pdh and Zenix was mad that someone dared try to bully somebody else before him, so he beat the shit out of the other guy and earned Vylad’s respect, they are now an honorary Shadow Knight in Zenix’s eyes thanks to how easygoing and mildly badass they were)

So they all crowd around Dante’s laptop and research anything they can about Starlight, using The Wayback Machine and looking into random phone numbers and last names, learning about what the Ultima is and giving them an explanation for why Garroth is a Werewolf now, and leading to Vylad using connections from high school (Hyria) to break into Lucinda’s house to find a book on the Valkrums, THEY RESEARCH and now they have a mild understanding about what might be going on, and Zenix finds Terry’s Office phone number by accident, leading to Dante calling it and the guy actually picks up

Terry is confused and quickly gets the phone taken from him by Lucinda who is insanely surprised to hear familiar voices from people she hasn’t heard from in months (in two cases years) and gives a very quick explanation about what is going on and who is okay and about what just happened like 2 seconds beforehand thanks to exorcism and Terry takes over with how bad the situation just got and infodumps about all he knows to both the witch girlys and the former Shadow Knights + Dante, PANIC ENSUES

Felix

The leader of the little group, he still wears blue and gold armor with the symbols scratched off.  While not the strongest fighter by space marine standards, he’s a master logician and tactician and very good at keeping his brothers in line.  Surprisingly charismatic and friendly and lacking the visible mutations of most chaos marines, he’s also the most easily able to interact with baseline humans.  He’s the kind of person you’d expect to find in the CEO’s office claiming no knowledge of the latest discovery that their overseas factories were using slave labor.  For some reason people in this era seem to frown on the slave labor thing, he’s not really sure why.

Batsy

Physically the largest of the lot, Batsy wears armor that’s painted over in gold and encrusted with carefully preserved bloodstains.  Most of it is shadowed by a pair of thick leathery wings which he keeps folded over and around his body.  His former chapter affiliation isn’t immediately obvious, although he has the needle fangs of a son of sanguinius.  They’ve started to grow through his helmet so he can deliver a vicious bite even when fully armored.  Despite being broody in temperament, he’s the most likely of the group to deliver an unexpected kindness.  He has no desire to be a leader and generally seems happy to follow Felix’s orders.  He had another name previously but doesn’t like to mention that either.  He’s in possession of a highly unusual sword that always seems to find its way back to his hand on its own. Sometimes some people can almost catch a glimpse of what looks like some sort of fat rodent hiding under his wings too.

Mic

Full name Michaela, Mic is the group’s tech-marine and has a full complement of mechanical and unusual appendages that you’d expect, making him rather prickly in appearance.  Especially since several the appendages are always clicking or whirring or otherwise making noise.  A genius when it comes to working with vehicles and fond of fighting from the back of an assault bike, preferably with a mounted flamethrower.  His deep red-orange armor still bears the symbol of the Ultima Founding Covenant of Fire chapter, with an Eight Pointed Star superimposed over top of it.  Despite his utility he still tends to get bullied by his brothers a lot.

There was peace, for a time, and in its joyful succor, new life.

And that new life in the Scions' orbit just now consisted of three young children. Doenstymm and Melusine were Klynt's oldest and youngest, respectively. Of an age just between the other two was Adrian, Aymeric's child, who often served as the connecting bridge between the older Doenstymm, looking after the other two, and the younger Melusine, who looked up to them both in many ways. The Scions often after looked after Adrian, serving as a family of sorts to them, bonds strengthened by their time together, the latest in a long string of favors traded back and forth ever since their time in Ishgard.

While their parents did not force them together, they often found themselves together nevertheless, looking after one another, protecting one another, and, of course, antagonizing one another in the matter that siblings tended to.

And what an odd family they were a part of. Doenstymm and Melusine shared a mother, but had different fathers, and Adrian with a father, but no mother to speak of at all. And the Scions themselves were an odd group, serving as aunts and uncles and cousins, making sure the children always had an adult nearby they could rely upon.

Zoissette stood back with the other Scions, a faint smile on her face. She had just gotten done retelling the stories of the Doman Adventurer's Guild to the three young children, and now they were excited to have adventures of their own. Before they were allowed off, however, Y'shtola was not so much lecturing as she was teaching them. Lessons were interspersed with brief anecdotes they each found amusing, and she asked questions of them to keep them engaged. Once satisfied, she let them go, and the three ran off, arguing about whether to mimic those adventures or try to have some of their own.

"You two are awfully good with children," said Alisaie to Y'shtola and Zoissette.

"Tis no small matter to instruct them for their own safety, but I believe they now know enough to make their mistakes their own. Such shall allow me later to confidently tell them that I did indeed 'told them so'," said Y'shtola with false primness, coming to stand up on her tip toes and give Zoissette a kiss before standing at her side.

"What a group of adorable ragamuffins," said Alisaie fondly, watching as the three found Alphinaud in the markets and begin to swarm around him, pestering him with questions as he twisted around and laughed, trying gamely to answer them and keep an eye on all three of them.

"What is that I hear in your voice? Considering motherhood?" asked Krile mischievously, looking up at Alisaie with a grin.

Heavens, no," replied Alisaie. "I think I shall leave continuing the family name to Alphinaud. I think he has more the temperament for it."

"Does he?" replied Krile, watching as Doenstymm started scaling up Alphinaud like he was an ambulatory tree. "Perhaps if he learns to not let himself be bullied by children."

Alphinaud was still laughing, even as he tried to fend off the other two while wilting under Doenstymm's robust Roegadyn weight.

"I'm not quite certain he even knows he -is- being bullied," said Alisaie. She glanced over to see that the smile on Zoissette's face had not faded, only softened, as Y'shtola intwined their arms and leaned against her.

"And what of our Warrior of Light and her paramour?" asked Alisaie. "You two ever consider following Klynt's example?"

Zoissette looked over at Y'shtola, then down at the ground.

"I do not think I would make a very good mother," she said.

"Oh, come now, you're good at just about everything else."

"So was my mother," said Zoissette, her voice quiet.

Krile and Alisaie exchanged looks.

"Oh, I am sorry!" said Zoissette brightly, turning to Alisaie. "I did not mean to bring down the mood. It is just, that, well."

She stopped, and Y'shtola stepped in gamely. "As for mine own perspective, I would mislike to follow in Matoya's footsteps. I love her as my own mother, but, well, you have met her. I do not regret my childhood, but I am not sure I would wish to put another through that self-same experience. That I was well suited to the circumstances under which I was raised was fortuitous."

"Well, not that I wish to influence you one way or another," said Krile. "But while it is traditional for the student to follow in the footsteps of her master, I believe it is also celebrated when their path carries beyond that set for them. I think you would make a wonderful mother."

"Perhaps," said Y'shtola, looking up at Zoissette, who was now distracted, watching the children.

"And as for you, I should think you've got the chance to do a fair bit of good yourself," said Krile to Zoissette, her tone gentle. "I've seen the way you and Y'shtola take turns with the children. How you teach them, how you so obviously care for them. And you're both wise enough to lean on us as necessary. I don't know your history, but I feel you've got a good chance to do a fair sight better than most parents, if you took the chance."

"A chance is not worth the risk," replied Zoissette, so quietly as to almost unable to be heard.

It was many bells later, after the children had been put to bed. Zoissette lounged on her back on a couch where she could see the door to the children's room, Y'shtola laying on top of her, her head on her chest.

"Adrian is a good child," said Y'shtola. "They all are."

"And Aymeric an excellent father," said Zoissette, slowly and gently running a hand up and down Y'shtola's back.

"Mayhap we could be, as well."

"Aymeric is a good father, for good reasons," said Zoissette. "You remember what he said, when I asked him why he wanted to be a father."

"To raise a child in the new Ishgard, free of the fetters of the old. To watch as that child became, grew up, full of the potential of that newness. Whatever path the child chose, it would be of their own choosing, and Aymeric wished to witness that, and support that. Of course I well remember. It was very well spoken, as usual, but also... well. Sentimental, but inspirational. I full felt a joy at the idea."

Zoissette nodded.

"Good motives. Noble motives. He will do fine. If I were to step in to such a role, however... Shtola. I would just be trying to not be my mother. That is no way to raise a child. They deserve more than to be something to someone trying to ... make up for their own hurts."

"I have similar fears," murmured Y'shtola into Zoissette. "But Krile has the right of it. We have all the Scions with us, to share wisdom, to share effort. 'Twould not be a lonely endeavor, but a shared one, and how much richer we might all be for it."

"Aymeric can also afford to be present for his child nearly all of the time. We are absent a lot, Y'shtola, you know that."

"Yet Klynt manages."

"Klynt... Klynt has an intuition for how these sort of things will go that I lack, a gregarious nature, several fathers who see each other kindly and help share the burdens of parentage, and a spirit that allows her to be and share a freedom I lack," said Zoissette. "I do not know how she manages it, to be honest. I am not sure I could."

Y'shtola sighed into Zoissette.

"A risk not worth the chance," she said. "But is that risk not already present? We could try, you know. You could step forward. I would be with you. You know this."

"I know," said Zoissette, wrapping her other arm around Y'shtola, and giving her a hug. "But I cannot bring myself to believe it would be the right thing. Not while I still harbor this anger against Elspeth. Against my own mother. Not while I... they deserve better."

Y'shtola nodded. "Well. The children are well loved, anyroad. Perhaps it does not matter. And perhaps you are right. I too am worried that in practice I would be little better than my own Matoya."

Zoissette relaxed under Y'shtola.

"We might sleep in our own bed," suggested Y'shtola.

"Maybe," said Zoissette.

Neither moved, both keeping on eye on the children's door, even as Zoissette reached and pulled a blanket over them both, even as they both fell asleep.

calling this *ALMOST*-nobody-meets-until-post-college AU "My New Neighbors" since I'm terrible with coming up at titles. i don't know how much i'll be adding under the cut (the idea is only like two days old lol) but I'll add a read-more bar anyway

Aphmau still knows Katelyn and KC from the start (when they all met each other idk yet tho). They all choose to move in together now that they've graduated from college

Aph and Katelyn went to the same college while KC went to it's sister college, which specialized more in magicks. There she met Michi and June (yes, minigame-exclusive June, i like her design okay) at a mefi'wa sorority

Garroth is shy like his Side Stories persona and met Laurance in college, they were roommates their entire time there. When they met, Garroth was a complete recluse and it took a lot of effort on Laurance's part to get him to go out more often. Post-college they both live together while they try to get their careers afloat

Laurance works as a barista and a part-time bartender, using his flirtatious charms to get better tips (works very well) and settle down angry customers (does NOT work very well)

Ultima stuff isn't canon anymore, but Aaron uses a bandana to hide his face initially because he's actually an ex-child actor that came out in a god-awful controversial cereal commercial that his father's entertainment company produced, which has caused him trouble to this very day

Aaron works as a security guard

KC is a complete girlfailure and Travis is a suave but hopeless loser. The two of them have really poor love lives

Dante and Nicole are dating, they met at the martial arts dojo she teaches at and he fell for her after she flipped him upside down during a demonstration to the class

Lucinda runs an etsy-like potion shop, no refunds or returns

Michi runs an etsy-like shop where she sells curses, hexes, and spells

Vylad travels all the time and only really talks to his mom and Garroth

Zane is a trust fund baby magic artifact scholar that jumps from job to job after discovering that his degree turned out to be useless. He's a compulsive blackmailer is the only member of the HOA in the neighborhood

Garroth has been estranged from his dad family for the past 2 years due to taking off with his trust fund money after college instead of taking over the family business like he was supposed to. His dad is still trying to track him down

Zane frequently blackmails Garroth

Sasha is more gloomy and goth, has been fired from several potion shops due to her poor potion making skills. It's not that she can't make potions that work, she just can't ever seem to make them work the way she intended them to (she always ends up substituting ingredients)

Zoey moves into the neighborhood sometime after Aphmau does (because it'd be cool to add her to mystreet :D)

Cadenza lives in the bigger city and is a successful seamstress and works for a high-end fashion company

Katelyn is more cold and awkward like her earlier personality, but she still doesn't take crap from nobody

Dante knows Garroth and Laurance through Nicole, who knows them since she used to be friends with Garroth when they were kids (although they only met again very recently)

KC, Michi, and June all like to make dolls and modify dolls. KC specializes in ball-jointed dolls, Michi in plastic/fashion dolls, and June in plushies

Aph, Katelyn, KC, Garroth, Laurance, Dante, Nicole, Aaron, Zane, and Zoey all live in the same neighborhood

Lucinda, Travis, Michi, June, all live elsewhere. Michi and June share an apartment, but June mostly stays with her parents while Michi has free reign of the space

Gene, Sasha, and Zenix live together in a crummy apartment center not too far from the neighborhood

KC will still be named Nana, but to keep the idea of her fake name she'll initially go by either her middle name or just doesn't name herself after a in-universe popular manga character bc how would she have not been bullied relentlessly for that. Like imagine if Garroth changed his name to Naruto

and that's about all the ideas I have for now, im hoping to figure more things out as I go :O

Ein MyStreet isn't a compelling villain to me.

Please note how I said ME in the title. This is just how I feel. You're entitled to your own opinions. Also this isn't the most professional analysis, I am just saying what's on my mind in the moment. Anyway, let's get into it.

OK so basically: Ein had a lot of potential. In the first half of season 1 he was a cute "bad" boy who just wanted to not be the Omega of the school whilst also having a crush on Aphmau. Then Aphmau made him Alpha Male and then he stopped being a character.

It's framed that everything he did with Aphmau was just a ploy to get the position of Alpha but like... He was so genuine so many times? He was blushing and all, he helped her out with the hair dye. He was a good boy who actually had a thing for Aph.

But ok, let's just ignore his characterization up until the twist because ooohhh he's actually really mean and manipulative. Maybe it's because of the power he now has after being bullied for so long but it's SUCH a jarring shift in character for him.

I guess Jessica wanted to make an actual Villain character since Gene and Balto weren't the most threatening and evil but like... They're in high school? They're not gonna be evil masterminds like what she was trying to do with Ein.

Gene and Balto were just bullies and that fit for PDH S1. Ein being evil is to shut down any romantic progression he would have with Aphmau since Kai got character assassinated and was a dick to her on a date (+ Ein's meddling)

All so that Aaron can come "save the day" and beat up Ein and save Aphmau from an evil man that she never figured out was evil. The most Evil things Ein did was pick an Omega without Aph and also ruin her date.

Ein didn't want to be the omega anymore since he was sick of being seen as weak and being bullied and ignored, and the teacher WANTED him to take that title willingly, even after everything he's gone through with it. And he KNOWS that Aph would try and convince him To take it on as well, so that's why he picked one by himself. And the date thing... Yeah idk why he did that maybe he was just jealous idk i forgor.

OH YEAH and he beat the shit out of Kasey so that Katelyn can have a reason to be racist towards werewolves when the Ultima Reveal. Completely forgot about that.

I honestly think PDH S2 had an interesting set up with the love triangle. Kai has Aaron's personality whilst Ein has Aaron's attitude. (Aph & Aaron's romance is awful but i'm just pointing out symbolism).

Ein was also racist towards Humans since he is a werewolf supremacist and he wanted to make Aphmau a werewolf so that she'd be perfect. Also werewolves are a minority that's discriminated against so this character trait is a bit uh... Yikes!

Also I just remembered this but Ein was working with Gene to get close to Aphmau and Gene wanted pictures of Aphmau for some fucking reason?? What was that about. We get no context on this other than 1 scene btw.

So the next time we see Ein is in Emerald Secret! Oh boy, I got some words.

So about 15 years pass since PDH S2 and everyone is an adult in their late 20s. What has Ein been doing in all that time? Obsessing over a girl he met in high school, researching heavily into a folk lore in order to turn her into a werewolf. Also he's been doing illegal potion making and used one of those potions to turn an actual wolf, human, so that he can be the alpha of her wolf pack.

Also he's working with the biggest bad of them all, Micheal! But we don't meet him until Season 6 or something. He also may or may not be mind controlling Ein during Emerald Secret we don't know.

So what else does Ein do this season now that he's the big bad again? Other than the wolf thing, he also brainwashes Aphmau's friends into thinking he's their brother, makes Aphmau obey his every word and love him whilst also despising Aaron.

And makes her attempt to kill Aaron. Despite the fact that he needs Aaron to turn her into a werewolf first, after he denies when he's asked, Ein was like "Ok well. Aph kill him lmao."

He also "dies" in the end by getting mauled by the pack of wolves he made himself Alpha of.

I don't think it takes that much brainpower to see why this is an awful twist (he was also a twist villain btw we didn't know it was him until midway). His motivation is stupid, why are you still obsessed with some girl from high school, you're 28.

Why does he even still have those pictures of her in high school? Like if you're gonna be obsessed with her, at least stalk her so you can get the modern update???

Also, his werewolf supremacy is played up big time here to the point it makes you question why he wasn't obsessing over Aaron like Xavier was. Maybe Jessica didn't wanna repeat motivation? But Ein & Xavier are very different characters, you could make it work.

He was just a mess of a villain once you think about his motivation for 2 seconds. And then he shows up in When Angels Fall!! This one is shorter I promise.

So in WAF Ein uses another illegal potion to make werewolves (who were in hiding since the Government is taking every single one of them and interrogating them because they might be some ancient folklore beast). And makes them all obey his every word and call him Alpha.

It's confirmed that after High School, werewolf packs and Alphas don't matter in the real world so it's weird that he was obsessed with it in Emerald Secret.

Anyway after that, he kidnaps Aphmau to hold Aaron ransom and when he gets his werewolf ears back (Aaron took them away in ES) he kills Aphmau because he was being mind controlled by Micheal.

And then Aaron and Ein fight on a bridge, Aaron kills his mind controlled friends, and then kills Ein. So let's talk about it.

the thing with this is that... It just shows that Ein COULD'VE been written well if he was mind controlled by Micheal with the illegal potions. Since Micheal had 100% access to Ein at any time and Ein played a major role in Micheal's plan to trauma trigger Aaron.

And honestly it would've made Ein a much more compelling character if he just... Didn't have control over his actions. One theme with the main group is that they decide what to do with their lives and how to move forward.

But that wouldn't apply to someone who was controlled, now, would it? And since we know that the person under the effects of a forever potion still have a conscious, and can see all the acts that they don't have control over, it would've made Ein a tragic villain.

And if he was mind controlled by Micheal during Emerald Secret it would explain why Ein was obessed with Aphmau despite it being so weird. Because guess what, Ein & Aphmau are half siblings! So that re-contextualizes every interaction they ever had.

I think that Ein should've had an actual character instead of being a cartoon villain like Micheal was. Ein is the only character to have so much DIRECT action towards the main cast. Why would you make him so messy and one dimensional?

And the whole Mind Control thing is something that can be easily done. Ein uses forever potions to make people Obey Him, and since Micheal doesn't have enough power to mind control Ein 24/7, him using a potion like that on Ein would make so much sense.

Since Ein is shown to be decent at potion making and magic by the time we meet him. Micheal is the only one who could've taught him all of that. And the thing is: IT'S CANNON ONLY IN WAH. They met before ES but it's left so vague on what their relationship was that you could say Ein did everything in Emerald Secret by his own volition and you'd be right since nothing is confirmed.

If Jessica wanted to make this a serious story, WHY WOULD YOU STOP AT THE MOST RELEVANT VILLAIN??? He's literally related to Aphmau and was apart of the experimentation in some way but we don't know because he's not a character enough for him to be lore relevant other than him being a plot device. I'm so upset on the way Jessica wrote him since he could've been so much more than he actually was.

I wanna add something: The mind controlled by Micheal thing is only one possibility with his character. You can do a whole lot of other things. The reason why I focused on the mind-control thing is that it's an easy cop-out Jessica could do in order to make Ein an actual character.

Jessica isn't the best writer and loves tropes & cop-outs so it very well could've been done in story. But instead she let Ein be vague as hell and also tying him so closely into the lore.

I just want Ein to be a coherent character with understandable motivations behind his actions. There is no excuse for him to be this important and yet so messily written.

And now he's dead. RIP Ein MyStreet. You could've been one of the greatest.

The fandom being divided (News Flash: this fandom has been divided since late 2018 to early 2019)

That one member receiving JB level of payola above all other members and making armys look like hypocrites & frauds for all those years of bullying other fandoms and Idol groups for doing the exact same thing to secure success. (That's just cold hard karma, lets be honest)

The alleged Ultima Weapon of BTS being really just another tool in the shed that didn't measure up to what he promised his own fans for the past 7 years.

Naoki Ro'meave (top left and middle) Zane and Nana's only child. He's a selective mute and fourteen, a few months younger than Matt. Closest with Matt, as neither of them talk much.

Adrianna "Annie" Ro'meave (top right), Garroth and Laurance's daughter that they had via surrogacy (biologically Garroth's), she was born with a malformed arm that was removed as a baby. She's fifteen and very accident-prone (takes after her Apa Laurance).

Alina-Rose Lycan (middle left) eldest child of Aaron and Aphmau, she inherited the Ultima curse and Aph's connection to Irene. And Mattias "Matt" Lycan (middle), Aarmau's second child. They're sixteen and fourteen respectively, and Matt was born with one eye.

Evie Valkrum (middle right), Travis and Katelyn's daughter. She got mostly her dad's physical traits but tries to act more like Katelyn. Her bangs are dyed. She's fifteen, not particularly close to the others, but hangs out with them habitually. (they all grew up together)

"The Girls", Lucinda's two daughters, created with Magick. Violet (left) and Talia (right). Talia is blind, she can make out vague shadows and light, but not much else. Violet isn't actually a witch, despite looking like one, and can't use Magick. They're both sixteen, and good friends with Alina. (side note, the cats are their familiars, siblings and the kittens of Lucinda's cat)

Dmitri, ya know him, ya love him, son of Dante and Nicole (they aren't together, but co-parent, alternating each week). He's sixteen, the oldest of his classmates, and a grump.

And the twins, Jasper and Jade, Sasha's daughters with an ex from college. They were raised by Zenix, as Sasha didn't want to be a parent after getting dumped, so they call him Dad despite not being related. Jasper is a trans-girl and good friends with the main group, while Jade is a bit of a bully. They're fourteen.

Plus a bonus Levin and Malachi. They were fostered by Aphmau and Aaron as pre-teens, each coming from different families, and becoming very close and brothers. At this point, Levin is nineteen and Malachi is twenty. They still live at home while attending college, and Malachi is an intern at Melissa's company.

this would be a "nothing bad happens" AU where everyone's just happy and living their lives without ever experiencing the events of seasons four/five/six.

You know I have to ask—Quinn’s thoughts on Estinien

Oh Estinien…ohohoho Estinien….

Her memory of HW Estinien is a little fuzzy (ie: I need to replay HW to remember actual details) but they were on amicable terms for the most part, both fighting for the same cause and all that. Quinn understood Estinien’s need for vengeance, but she detested being seen as his equal by Aymeric (or at least, she assumed he alluded to that).

They did have a very short conversation post-Vault while Aymeric was being tended to by the chirurgeons for his wounds. Estinien had some…odd words of encouragement for her and actually helped her in her grief over Haurchefant. (once I replay HW, I will write this scene)

So, throughout Stormblood her view of Estinien was that of a man who was going through his own growth and she respected him for that, if not sort of looked up to him for it. She appreciated his work in being an intermediary between man and dragon and really had nothing but praises for him. They never really interacted directly though, and as far as Estinien was concerned Quinn was the same Quinn that she was in Heavensward.

Which is…a very different Quinn. A less tame Quinn. A loud and boisterous and drunk and promiscuous Quinn…

So post-Shadowbringers Quinn and Aymeric finally open up about their courtship and intent for marriage. Estinien learns about this and, is quite frankly, unimpressed with Aymeric’s choice in partner. Quinn is confused as to all hell why Estinien is so sour towards her, even going so far as to be dragged to their official ceremony in the Vault right before the events of 5.5 and not staying for the afterparty.

Then he becomes a Scion, and Quinn returns his feelings towards her by being equally sour and almost bullying and annoying him like a little sister would. He’s Aymeric’s best friend! It’s totally fine. And she’s being playful about it. But she holds less animosity towards him as he does to her.

She even chooses to invite him into her room before they travel to Ultima Thule, to which they have a pow-wow concerning Aymeric, and Quinn concedes that if she is Aymeric’s sun, Estinien is his moon. (Translation: We’re both important to him, so neither of us can die on this mission).

It’s definitely a big brother – little sister relationship up until the end of 6.0, where Estinien finally has respect for Quinn after all she had done for the star. She wasn’t the little drunken whore that she was when they first met, and he finally admits that she’s a stalwart ally.

While the patches aren’t necessarily canon, between 6.0 and 7.0, Quinn and Estinien have a good relationship with each other. They’re back to being amicable, but there’s still an air of tension between them that’s almost indescribable. They are like oil and water, much to Aymeric’s disappointment.

But they’re also like friendly rivals all the same. They’re Aymeric’s left and right hand.

havent posted in forever but have some more PDH / MS rewrite stuff

(i forgot what exactly i added in my first post mentioning it and so im just mentioning stuff as i go and hoping i hadn't repeated any lmao)

aphmau and aaron DO get together for a brief time in college, but decide they're better off as friends and break it off

ein's whole 'trying to become alpha' thing was mainly bc he had a huge crush he refused to admit on aaron and having been bullied so many years as omega, thought it was the worst thing ever when someone as strong as the Ultima of all people became an omega and not the alpha (this could change bc idk if i'll even keep the alpha/beta/omega dynamic...especially in high school of all things)

speaking of ein, i hc that he doesnt have a good relationship w/ zack at all, so he took on his mother's last name instead, so that's why it doesn't really click that he and aphmau are related for the longest time since aphmau had her mother's last name and ein has his own mother's

KC actually chose her own name, with Nana meaning 'beautiful bloom'. The fact it could also mean 'seven' was entirely coincidental.

all of gene's tattoos that he has (but is casually hiding from his mother) were drawn and colored by zenix. sasha suggested a few of them, but never actually helped with the process

garroth, after he and aphmau's first (platonic) kiss, thought it was rather underwhelming and not at all what laurance's romance stories said it'd be like.

zenix loves strawberries. sasha HATES them. they have a very dramatic 'hatred' of each other because sasha keeps trying to get rid of boxes of literal strawberries and zenix just keeps ordering more. gene just wonders when his house became the place for the two to be doing that

instead of that whole angel w healing powers arc, it took her forever to decide, having first started off as wanting to be an artist, but by the last two years of highschool she had decided to become a doctor instead in order to help people

dante is the one who usually cuts travis' hair. they started doing that in high school and just kept it going as a tradition ever since. it doesnt do much because travis likes keeping his hair long-ish, but it gives them time to hang out at least!

katelyn got involved in fighting at a very young age. mostly defending her brothers, who were too weak to defend themselvs. after her mother left, it just became a way to cope, because punching stuff help get rid of the excess emotions. her father only assumed she was copying him and nurtured that response. took lots of talking with aphmau and KC when they were roommates to get her to explore other ways to cope rather than, you know, punching people (*cough* travis)

zane has a bunch of pet snakes he managed to smuggle into the house. his (dont tell the others!) favorite is a peppermint corn snake named Minthe

when vylad was younger, you couldn't look away from him for even a SECOND before he would have been on top of cabinets or counters. he thrived on climbing and causing you as many problems as possible. zane secretly helped him cause said problems by helping him onto places he couldnt otherwise reach when nobody was looking

zack still a pussy ass bitch so he just lets aphmau do whatever she wants which includes making ein take a bus to school instead of being driven by their dad like she is

aph doesnt want people knowing theyre related bc she thinks hes a loser nerd who sucks

ein is like. a special little church boy who cries when he has to kill a bug. hes still somewhat relentlessly bullied by his classmates like early pdhs2 but its more hurtful since this guy is actually being nice

in my mind ein is the ultima in this au and aph is a werewolf, her ears and tail just havent come in yet

ein usually wears sunglasses for his eyes until they break then he uses his uniform's tie like a bandana

EVEN MORE things from my mystreet rewrite

Ein and Aphmau are half siblings on their fathers side but Ein lives with Sylvanna because his mom isn’t the best person and their dad isn’t in his life either

Ein is very withdrawn from Aphmau because his mom and dad aren’t in his life but Aphmau has Sylvanna

Aphmau knows he’s a werewolf and just assumes his mom is a werewolf

Ein isn’t obsessed with Aphmau being a werewolf but went down a rabbit hole of werewolf history and learned about the ultima which was the start of his obsession with Aaron

His feelings towards Aaron were originally just a one sided crush but it quickly turned obsessive and possessive once he started to suspect that Aaron was an ultima

He starts to use Aphmau to get close to Aaron and has an attitude with Lily and Aphmau because of how close they are to Aaron

It gets even worse when Aphmau and Aaron start dating at the end of college

Aphmau and Aaron are both in werewolf classes but Aphmau assumes she’s there to learn more about her brother in reality it’s just incase she is a werewolf like her dad

Gene and Aphmau have a Gideon Grey and Judy Hopps relationship

In high school he torments her but when they reunite after college he says sorry with a written message about why he did it and how much he regrets his actions

Most of the stuff Gene bullied aphmau about was weirdly personal and after college she finds out Ein was the one who told Gene all of that

Garroth gets jealous of Laurence and Aphmau’s relationship and thinks he likes Aphmau until he realized he doesn’t care when people hit on Aphmau but would get upset when someone hit on Laurence

Katelyn and Travis both played animal jam as kids and they both met their first online friend through that game

A couple months after they meet and become friends they realized they were eachothers online friend

Dante had a Minecraft girlfriend in middle school who took all of his diamonds and that’s why he has multiple girlfriends at once in high school

Travis calls that his “joker moment”

Zane was the Minecraft girlfriend

Zane didn’t tell Garroth about his crush on Nana because his previous crushes always ended up having a crush on Garroth

Nana’s hobby is doll customization and her and Aaron go to yard sales to try and find dolls for her to customize

Katelyn is an amazing listener and also a great gifter but hates shopping

Nicole isn’t a good listener (something she works on) and isn’t a good gifter but she loves shopping

They work together on holidays and birthdays

Aphmau is religious but Travis isn’t so when they comfort eachother aphmau would keep from using any religion talk to comfort him and Travis will use religion talk to comfort her because they know what works best for each other

Werewolves and Meif’wa are colorblind and Nana doesn’t know what hair color she actually has she just knows that pink is bright and cute

DANNY Y JD/ DATOS DE LA ROPA DE DANNY(TRADUCCION)

💜Danny y JD son vecinos, viven uno al lado del otro. aunque Danny técnicamente no lo conoció hasta hace un año.

💜El barrio donde viven Danny y JD es bastante antiguo, el equivalente a la Ciudad Vieja de "Alvaluz" y no suelen vivir muchas familias allí, de hecho aparte de las familias de Danny y JD solo hay otras 3 residencias ocupadas (por personas mayores la edad de 60 años), siendo casi un barrio abandonado.

💜Dan y Danny se habían mudado a este vecindario porque después de "The Sleeper Event" (algo de lo que hablaré más adelante) y la muerte de la madre de Danny las cosas se pusieron muy difíciles económicamente, al punto que Dan tuvo que pedirle a su madre que le ayudara. algo de ayuda (aunque ella no quisiera). La madre de Dan terminó dejándole la casa en la que viven actualmente (no es una mala casa, pero definitivamente es vieja y costó un huevo y medio volver a armarla).

💜Durante este tiempo de adaptación, Danny estaba bastante deprimida y apenas salía, por lo que no regresó a la escuela incluso después de que todo "volvió a la normalidad" y fue educada en casa con Dan. Por esta razón, realmente no interactué con JD a pesar de que él ha vivido en el vecindario durante unos 5 o 6 años, pero mantuvieron una relación cordial.

💜No fue hasta que Danny comenzó a reincorporarse a la escuela (que era la misma que la de JD) que comenzaron a hacerse realmente amigos (esto fue aproximadamente 1 año antes de la historia).

💜Tanto a JD como a Danny les gusta mucho ver y leer cosas de terror, aunque tienen géneros de terror favoritos muy diferentes. Danny prefiere Body Horror y JD horror como Stephen King, horror no convencional (como se ve en el dibujo, están leyendo algo de TI y Danny no sabe cómo sentirse con respecto a... ciertas escenas del libro. 💜JD tiene varios traumas relacionados con el Bullying debido a que es un mago mental/psíquico, por lo que Danny tiende a estar bastante a la defensiva con las personas que se le acercan (porque además de eso, JD es bastante bajo para su edad y Danny es más atlético, así que toma aprovecharlo para ahuyentar a posibles acosadores). Danny tiende a ser protector tanto con JD como con Zaneri, es un hábito.

💜 JD suele ser quien va a la casa de Danny más que al revés (porque Dan trabaja la mayor parte del día), ¡pero a los padres de JD en realidad les gusta Danny! Están agradecidos de que su hijo finalmente esté haciendo amigos :,)

UNIFORME: bastante simple, es el uniforme de la escuela de Danny, la Academia Holbaim, es una escuela publica que principalmente admite magos/Magas U.N.I.QUO, por lo que es considerada una escuela "para niños con necesidades especiales", los uniformes están adaptados a la persona y en algunos casos los propios estudiantes tienen que hacer ciertos cambios(principalmente los transformistas) para que los estudiantes los usen. Danny tiene un uniforme femenino estándar, todos los estudiantes tienen en común(aunque en diferentes lugares) el identificador dorado, que indica el nombre y tipo de mago/maga que es el estudiante(aunque una dinámica que se genero en la ultima década es teñir los uniformes de cierta forma dependiendo de que mago/maga seas, de esa forma ya se sabe mas fácilmente).

como dato extra; las instituciones en el Mundo de Danny que son privadas son financiadas por "Sangre Azules" ósea, gente de familias mágicas muy antiguas que tienen mucha relevancia política en la actualidad. mientras que las escuelas publicas son gratuitas. ambas suelen ser laicas, pero en las instituciones privadas no se suelen aceptar muy seguido magos/magas U.N.I.QUO al ser considerados "peligrosos" o "antinaturales" por ciertos sectores de la sociedad mágica muy conservadores que generar restricciones o controles a dichos magos/magas. normalmente cuando un U.N.I.QUO es aceptado en una institución privada es por recomendación.

Crying on the inside when Mid made a point to say that the Enterprise couldn't fly to fight Ultima. Sis, you're Cid's daughter. The ship itself was partially designed by Cid. Do you have any idea of the expectations for an airship this is putting on your boat? Do you know what's Cid's number one characteristic in Final Fantasy? Flying stuff.

And nah really, it couldn't fly. There was no Mid genius moment where she found a way to do it. Dion just bullied himself into giving them a lift :/
