George is 5’11 and Jayden is 6’0 so it does hurt my detail oriented brain when fics will describe Charles as the shorter of the two because I just KNOW that boy would be SOOO annoying about that one inch. He is a teenage boy and height comparison is integral to ego stroking so him holding that one inch that he has over Edwin opens up so many opportunities for the silliest of squabbles
#dead boy detectives#payneland#charles rowland#edwin payne#you can see it pretty clearly in the boxing scene when they’re standing on level ground#that tiny bit of height difference still fuels me#and i think charles would cherish it as well#edwin so does not care#that poor boy was bullied for being effeminate do you think being called short (he isnt) will phase him

hey! i was wondering if you had any advice for writing a "bully" tough guy character with a hidden heart of gold that will be redeemed later on in the story? i wanted to have their motivation being seeing their bullying as making people stronger (for maybe a reason like from being bullied for being weak themselves) but idk how i would begin to write this
How to Write a Bully with Opportunity for a Redemption
Establish a Compelling Backstory
Bullying History: Flesh out the character's past. Perhaps they were bullied themselves, leading them to believe that by bullying others, they can instill strength and resilience. This creates a cycle of pain that they think they're breaking.
Family Dynamics: Consider their family situation. Maybe they have a tough home life that forces them to adopt a hard exterior, believing vulnerability is a weakness.
Defensive Mechanism: Make it clear that their bullying is a defense mechanism. They may fear being seen as weak or unworthy, so they project toughness to avoid being hurt again.
Create Layers of Personality
Contradictions: Show moments where the tough guy’s softer side shines through, such as helping someone in a subtle way or expressing empathy toward a friend. This builds intrigue and hints at their hidden depth.
Hobbies or Interests: Give them a passion that contrasts with their tough exterior, such as caring for animals, art, or even an interest in literature. This helps humanize them and shows they have more to offer than just their bullying behavior.
Develop Strong Relationships
Friendships: Explore the dynamics of their friendships. Do they have a best friend who sees through their tough exterior? This friend can be a source of support and also push the character toward redemption.
Conflict with Others: Show how their bullying impacts their relationships with other characters. This can create tension and give other characters a reason to want them to change.
Establish Their Motivation for Bullying
Internal Monologue: Use the bully’s thoughts to explain their perspective. Allow them to rationalize their behavior with phrases like “I’m just toughening them up” or “They’ll thank me later.” This internal justification provides insight into their mindset and shows that they genuinely believe in their method.
Dialogue with Others: Show conversations where the bully explains their philosophy to friends or peers. They might say something like, “You have to be tough to survive. I’m just giving them a reality check,” or “Weakness only gets you hurt.” This can illustrate their conviction that they’re helping rather than harming.
Interactions with Victims: When the bully interacts with their victims, allow moments where they express a twisted sense of encouragement. For instance, they might say something like, “You’ll thank me when you’re stronger,” or give unsolicited advice on how to handle being bullied, further solidifying their misguided belief.
In-Scene Justification: As the bully corners a victim, they might say, “You think this is tough? You should’ve seen what I went through. I’m making you stronger. You’ll thank me when you can stand up to people like me.”
Aftermath Reflection: After an intense encounter, the bully reflects, “Maybe I pushed them too hard. But if they break now, they’ll never survive out there. I can’t let them be weak.”
Confrontation with a Mentor: In a scene with a mentor or friend, the bully might insist, “I’m not a bad guy. I’m doing this for them. They need to be ready for the real world. They’ll understand one day.”
Build Moments of Realization
Catalyst for Change: Identify key moments that can serve as turning points for the character. Perhaps they witness the consequences of their actions firsthand, such as a target of their bullying breaking down.
Moment of Kindness: Have them perform a small act of kindness that contradicts their tough persona. This could be something like defending someone who’s being bullied or comforting a classmate in distress.
Craft a Redemption Arc
Struggle with Self-Perception: As they start to recognize their wrongs, explore their internal conflict. They might grapple with feelings of guilt or shame, unsure how to change.
Facing the Consequences: Introduce scenarios where they face the repercussions of their past actions. This can lead to a moment of humility, where they apologize or make amends.
Support from Others: Allow other characters to help guide their transformation. Perhaps someone who was bullied approaches them and expresses that they see potential in them, encouraging a new path.
Highlight the Heart of Gold
Acts of Courage: In the climax, have them step up to protect those they’ve bullied, showcasing their newfound understanding of strength and vulnerability.
Positive Impact: Illustrate how their change positively affects others. This can be through friendships, mentorships, or even inspiring other characters to change as well.
End on a Hopeful Note
New Identity: Conclude the character's arc by showing them embracing their softer side while still retaining the tough-guy persona, proving that they can be both strong and kind.
Forgiveness: Allow for forgiveness from those they’ve wronged, reinforcing the theme of redemption and growth.
Example Character Arc:
Initial Setup: Jake is known as the school’s tough guy, bullying anyone he deems weak, believing it will make them stronger.
Backstory Reveal: Through flashbacks, we see Jake bullied mercilessly for being small and weak, leading him to adopt his aggressive persona.
Turning Point: After witnessing the severe impact of his bullying on a classmate, Jake begins to reflect on his actions.
Redemption Moment: In a climactic scene, Jake defends the same classmate from a new bully, proving he’s changed.
Resolution: By the end, he’s mentoring younger students, using his experiences to help others find their strength rather than tear them down.

I already told you that I like your style and I would definitely like to see many bully characters in your style. Could you draw Gord and Parker (you can draw them separately or together). I’ll wait as long as necessary ^^
Hello there!! ♡˖
Hey, bestie!! I am the one who loves YOUR art and your style! I actually already had a drawing of Gord and Parker done a few weeks before even making this acc, I wanted to draw them in their boxing attire after I started boxing myself (it's not easy, lmao, they go through A LOT, I must say!), I created one for Gord since he doesn't have one, lol. I also made a separate art piece for this ask specifically so, yes, two drawings today.
Hope you like the results. ♡
lol.
#bully preps#gord vendome#parker ogilvie#i finally think I know how to accurately draw gord lol#boxing is not easy these guys go through HELL#finally a prep drawing 🙏#the greasers saga is not over though.

Edging firefly to the point where she gets so frustrated and turns to into Sam only to bend you over her lap and see how you like it <333
Mmmm seeing Firefly groaning and whimpering as she tears up from the edging, only to summon Sam and suddenly transform into a huge, towering mech that bends you over is something I rlly want to see 🤤
Firefly is so fast too. You blink and suddenly you’re hoisted into the air with Firefly transforming into Sam and manhandling you like you’re nothing. Sam’s metallic hands are cold against your abdomen, gripping you with such intense strength as Firefly pushes you down in her lap and makes you bounce pathetically on her now bigger cock… the sudden whiplash will have you whimpering in place of Firefly, as Sam just makes it impossible for you to keep silent.
Not to mention how cold their dick is in mecha form. It makes your entire body shiver upon contact and Firefly would make you cockwarm her for a bit before thrusting into you roughly.
#🕯️spirit box#firefly smut#guys…maybe we shouldn’t have bullied the girlfailure too much#now she has a giant mech#and now she is capable of pegging us

this one panel in issue #50 and it's, like, not THAT bad alright
fuck it im tired and had a long day this is my treat to myself. im talking about that panel. yes, THAT panel. which one?
THIS ONE. alrighty this is off the cuff and terrible, lets go.
so this panel isnt like, that bad in context when it comes to Sonic. i think specifically "ive made peace with enough enemies to know there is a better way" is a really interesting line here, because it calls back to the amount of times that the "villain" hes fought has just been a person whos hurting, and how hes been able to help those people. it makes sense that eventually hes more keen on trying to figure out someones whole story before deciding if theyve gotta go (which is rare).
but i want to talk about the FRAMING of this panel, and specifically the larger context of this issue in particular. theres a lot of flip-flopping in perspectives. usually, IDW is told through Sonic's perspective (loosely, this kind of thing is up to interpretation a lot), but in issue 50, it switches rapidly between four different groups -- Sonic and Surge, Tails and Kit, Eggman and Starline, and Belle and Metal. within these groups, the perspective its being told from changes a few times, but never as much as Sonic and Surge's do
i actually love these two when they interact as a storyteller myself, and one that has handled scripts too often for my own liking. Sonic and Surge do this thing where they push and pull the pacing of the script to fit their motives -- Surge keeps trying to escalate things, whenever shes in a panel everything starts pushing rapidly and it feels like the panels are tumbling off the page. when Sonic does anything, though, its slow and deliberate. hes having fun fighting, sure, but he can very much tell that Surge is trying to kill him and hes not having any of that. Sonic keeps things slow and focused, Surge tries to push things faster and unfocused. i could get into how this reflects her motivations and stuff but thats not what this is about i already lost track of what i was talking about fuck hang on
ok so. Surge knows shes supposed to be Sonic, to be BETTER than Sonic. its all she knows, really, and thats the problem. shes traumatized and full of rage and Sonic has been put on this high pedestal, not just by her, but by everyone. she cannot stand this.
this panel is how SURGE sees Sonic, specifically the composition. hes shrouded in light and physically above her -- its not even that subtle of a metaphor, they use it all the time in idw.
the entire overpowered saga shows Surge clawing for control of herself, her life, her freedom... this issue sets all that up in the main story. the way Sonic is framed here isnt how he sees himself at all. weve seen him do this exact same thing from his own perspective before, where everyone is on even ground. he doesnt see himself as above anyone, this instance of him being depicted as such isnt alluding to how Sonic feels about himself, its how Surge feels about Sonic.
and, look, its not the most well-done in the world. this issue has a whole host of problems, evident by the constant switching of focus from one group to a next (a problem that i think they did better on in the Phantom Rider saga). i literally forgot about Belle and Metal in this issue bc theres just so much more going on, i wouldve loved for them to slow things down a bit, maybe splitting it into two issues, but hey, what can you do, yk?
as an aside, i think its really weird how people narrow in on this specific panel of Sonic as being "so out of character", which i sorta like, 30% agree with (i think some phrasing could be better), and then ignore the page right after it...

...in which he pretty much says "you dont get freedom if youre gonna be a problem". funnily enough, on twitter i have this flow chart saved whenever i need a quick guide on Sonics morality and stuff, its really not that complicated

none of this is new imo, we see he has the same philosophy in sa1 and satbk. Chaos was blinded by rage and pain after being trapped for thousands of years RIGHT after they were attacked by the echidnas. Merlina was so scared of death (implied to be because she had lost family members and wasnt able to cope with it well) that she became a monster in an attempt to never let anything change ever again. these arent very different stories in my head i guess, just cases of Sonic seeing people who are hurting and doing his best to free them from that.
uhhhh anyways. all this is disorganized i forgot what i was talking about like 5 times while writing this but. people on twitter are ripping into this issue again. like its a b tier issue stop acting like its an f yk Q_Q i will defend anything if people are too mean tbh
thanks for making it this far if you read all this. i love idw a lot and i think that it does have some flaws, theyre all really blown out of proportion.
have a great day/afternoon/evening wherever you are yall :) bye bye
#sonic analysis#i guess#sonic idw#sonic the hedgehog#surge the tenrec#<eh idk i feel like surge fans could back me up on this?#or critique me if need be#its been a while since i really thought about surge a good bit. shes very interesting but also so complicated that i dont think i could eve#do her justice in like 10k words let alone like. less than 300 lol#ummm please dont bully me for this its just my onion thumbsup. if you wanna have a civil discussion about it tho you can come to my ask box#im nice

reading through fnaf theories and vaguely skimming fnaf book plots has made me want to do a major rewrite/redesign of my entire AU…
#i’ve been calling the crying child jack for *years*#like since fnaf 4. because a million years ago i thought CC was the puppet and thought#“heeheehee jack in the box”#but now i think. his name is dave/david courtesy of the logbook.#and i loooove having canon names. it’s the reasons why the unnamed bullies drive me nuts.#cassie’s dad??? oswald’s dad??? what am i supposed to do with that#bonnie bro?? mask bot?? tHESE ARE NOT NAMES#sigh#fnaf#meta talks#thinking bout…making henry not williams sibling. and renaming phone guy. aughhh#i still love my “henry’s the murderer and william’s actually a pretty normal guy” au#so we’ll see how the bones get restructured

Okay I've been a little obsessed with your AU Somebody to Call My Own and I need to ask something
In your AU SCMO!Ford have seen any Stanley with polydacty instead of Stanford?
But despite that, Stanley maintains his personality, with the change that he suffers a little more bullying than Ford because of his condition.
I can imagine Stanford defending him, but knowing Stanley I doubt he'll tell his brother when some students get out of line with him and he decides to confront him on his own so as not to disturb his Stanford
I guess SCMO!Ford had to step in at some point if the bullying became too much for Stanley or a group of students wanted to get out of line with him
I actually love this.
But yeah, there are definitely Stans out there that have polydactyl instead of Ford, and even some dimensions where both boys have six fingers.
But, in this case, I can imagine that Stan wouldn't change much at all. He'd have the same mindset that he had when Ford was the one with six fingers, just without the insecurity about them. The extra finger on each of his hands functions like all the rest, it's not hindering him or stopping him from doing anything he wants to do, and that's all he really cares about.
Now, in terms of Ford defending him, Ford would probably do it less and less as they grew up and grew apart. It would get to the point where Ford would have no idea how bad the bullying had gotten when they hit highschool because Stan wouldn't tell him. Plus, Stan has that mindset where he can handle it himself, not wanting to burden his brother. What was Ford supposed to do about it anyway? He can't throw a punch, he'd just get beaten up right alongside Stan.
It would escalate when Crampelter and his friends found Stan on the beach alone, working on the Stan o' War that Ford no longer had interest in. And he's not crying over being brushed off for the hundredth time, he's not, he just got some salt in his eyes.
Stan would put up a hell of a fight, but they get him pinned on the ground and Crampelter would grab Stan's pinky (which isn't even the extra finger). Crampelter would bend it too far the wrong way, not letting up in time to keep from dislocating it. There would be a pause as the three boys watched Stan violently twitch with a bitten-off curse.
And Crampelter, high on adrenaline and wanting payback for all the black eyes and bloody noses he'd gotten from Stan, would grab the next finger and wrench that out of place too. Stan would buck and cuss but the panic and pain would make him sloppy, which is why it would be a relief when Crampelter was tackled off of him and had a weird triangle gun shoved in his face by a dude in a sleek black and red helmet.
Crampelter's friends would bolt, leaving the bully pleading for his life at the end of the barrel. The stranger would be vibrating with rage, the gun perfectly steady. Stan would pick himself up with a hiss, the pained sound drawing the stranger's attention to Stan and his crooked fingers. The stranger would knock Crampelter out with the butt of his gun before swiftly standing, Stan trying to play the whole thing off as he thanked the stranger for helping him out.
The stranger would briskly walk him home, Stan blankly staring as he silently let himself be guided to his house, hand clutched to his chest. He wouldn't even notice that the stranger had picked up a thick but short stick during the walk, hurling it at a familiar window. Ford would hesitantly poke his head out through the curtain, eyes widening when he saw his brother with a strange man that looked like bad news. Ford would scramble to the front door, wrenching it open and grabbing Stan to drag him away from the stranger.
Stan would yelp in pain and Ford instantly let go, focus redirecting to Stan and the hand he had pressed against his chest. The moment Ford got a look at the very clearly dislocated fingers, he'd know that someone did that to his brother. They were dislocated in different directions, one sideways and the other straight backward. Ford would stare until the stranger moved, Ford instinctively blocking his path, but Stan would nudge Ford aside while muttering that the stranger helped him.
Ford would reluctantly let the stranger take Stan's hand, Ford blinking dumbly when he counted six fingers on the man's hand, which would carefully pop both fingers back into place for Stan. The the man would give Stan a small tin of what looked like ointment, instructing him (in an extremely altered voice) to massage the fingers with it once a day for two days and it would be like it never happened. Stan would mutely nod and head inside, lingering in the entryway to wait for Ford, who stared down the stranger.
"Who hurt him?"
"Crampelter and two of his friends."
