good morning, i was completely wrong and in the most shocking turn of events of my whole life, my 80 yr old russian grandparents have accepted my trans identity
A little bit late (unless you wanna count All Souls' Day) but here are some photos of my Mumza cosplay from this Halloween! (Including one where I try to recreate that one absolutely gorgeous fanart by @/ghosted-jazz)
And a really HUUUUUUUGE shout-out to my friend who took the photos! He helped so much with everything from the angles to posing, these gorgeous shots wouldn't have been possible without him!
Happy Halloween, el Día de Muertos, or All Souls' Day to everyone who celebrates, from your local goddess of death ;)
"The Duke of Somerset" - an extremely simple no. 2 pencil drawing done 1/08/2024, of actor Brian Deacon in Henry VI, Part 2 (1983) directed by Jane Howell for the BBC Television Shakespeare, done in about 10 minutes. Would've been more detailed but my sister said "I'm bored and hungry, come eat with me" and that sounded pretty compelling.
I love drawing in charcoal because when you're in the beginning of a work, instead of looking like something reasonable it's perfectly acceptable and natural for them to look like this
I want to take a moment to acknowledge how insane genetics can be. It's wild that all of Brian’s children are basically clones of Chrissy. To me, they all have her round face, full cheeks, and small mouth, and probably a version of her nose because none of them have Brian's prominent, long nose. None of the kids really look much like Brian at all. I think Emily probably looks the most like him because her facial features are slightly longer and she’s the only one who inherited his dark brown curls, but Louisa looks nothing like him. She's just Chrissy with shorter, lighter hair.
