I feel the need to shout out John Rhys-Davies's size/stunt double, Brett Beattie, who would have been the one to film the scene above (and most shots showing Gimli with human-sized characters where you can't see his face clealry). Brett was the one to get the Fellowship tattoo with the others, instead of John. Here's an interesting article about him! https://www.polygon.com/lord-of-the-rings/22535564/lotr-gimli-actor-double-brett-beattie-cast-fellowship-tattoo
(And damn, seeing the picture of him getting the tattoo makes me feel nostalgic... If you ever get a chance to visit Rogers Tatoo Art on Cuba Street in Wellington, NZ, where the Fellowship got their tattoos, take it! It's an amazing place full of history.)
I’m so sorry, but this just looks like a rip from a rap video.

Orlando sees Brett (Gimli double) through his Fellowship tattoing in Wellington. He was the bravest of the nine of us in battle, but the needle was a different deal. See: a dwarf and an elf can get along. -Spring 2000.
Orlando holding Brett Beattie's hand as he got the Fellowship tattoo, representing Gimli, instead of JRD.
Words and photo by Viggo for Empire magazine, 2011.
Can I assume that this other, very similiar - but not the same - version of the photo is also from Viggo's camera? It's the same angle, isn't it? Or is Viggo closer, maybe he's what's obscuring the photo in the lower right corner?

I find both the tender handholding and that look between them so touching. Orlando obviously served as comfort here and it shows he has such a sweet heart.
And what intrigues me is the way Viggo wanted to capture this moment. He saw the same thing: tenderness and love. And his pretty, big-hearted elf.
Brett's mostly uncredited work as a stunt double/body double for Gimli is overall quite touching. Apparently, he's also from Canterbury, like Orlando, but in NZ. And on set, seems he was closest to Viggo and Orlando. And the way he did so much work, but never really got any credit. But obviously, the Fellowship embraced him as one of their own.

“I remember Elijah Wood actually approached me first and invited me [to get a tattoo]. And to tell you the truth, my biggest concern at the time was John Rhys-Davies. I knew that this wasn’t supposed to be for me to be asked to get this tattoo. So I said I had to think about it,” Beattie explains, adding that he relented when Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom asked him again the following day. “I spent a lot of time on set with the cast as a professional working. I spent a lot of time with mainly Viggo and Orlando socializing and fishing, but I didn’t have much to do with the [hobbit actors] or Peter Jackson.
He says he socialised with Viggo & Orlando and went fishing with them. And if I interpret him right, it sounds like it was ONLY with them, not with the others. Right? So, does that mean that Viggo & Orlando "socialised" a lot by themselves? And went fishing a lot, by themselves? And sometimes Brett tagged along?
Viggorli-infused minds like to think so.

"TWO-YEAR TERM ON BURGLARY CHARGE," The Province (Vancouver). September 8, 1933. Page 19. ---- NEW WESTMINSTER, Sept. 8. - Albert Brett, 35, was sentenced in County Court to two years in the penitentiary on a charge of breaking and entering the premises of R. C. Beatty, 145 Warwick avenue, North Burnaby, August 24. He was also sentenced to nine months for the assault of Police Constable Charles J. Waddell of Burnaby. Brett pleaded guilty to the charges.
Brett's two-year term will run concurrently with a three-year sentence he is serving in the penitentiary on a Vancouver breaking and entering charge. The nine-month sentence will be an additional term.
Brett, who appeared in court guarded by three penitentiary officers, was released last July from the penitentiary after completing a five-year sentence for robbery with violence.
Agnes Johnston, 23, charged jointly with Brett, pleaded guilty also and was remanded until September 15, pending investigation of her record. Arrested under the name of Johnston, she declined to give her real name, saying she wished to protect her family.
Brett made a plea on behalf of his fellow prisoner, declaring she was innocent of the charges.
According to the evidence, the two accused entered the house of Mr. Beatty, where they stole jewelry. They were met by Constable Waddell. Brett assaulted the officer, who was knocked down and struck with rocks. Brett escaped to be captured later in Vancouver, while his companion was arrested at the time.

Once again talking about the bros
Granted it was Chance who brought it up while it wasn't his right to
But the way he was ready to defend Brad which he did
Meanwhile Brett is on protective big brother mode watching closely if he has to shut it down
Brad clearly doesn't want to talk about it
But Chance spins it in the end when he says "my boy Brad knows how to take a fucking punch" and then turns the attention to Beatty so they don't linger on it
Not to mention the scene earlier when Brett tells Brad that he's gonna drive around with Chance and Chance's dad's gun to find Brad's attackers
Which is STUPID but I don't think that's something Brett asked for I think he mentioned ge had a knife I his car looking for the perps and Chance went "I'll go with you and I'll bring my dad's gun"

Yesterday I discovered the story of Gimli’s stunt double, Brett Beattie, who did a LOT of the heavy lifting but did not get nearly enough credit. The actor who played Gimli, John Rhys-Davies, is over 6 feet tall. His stunt double/body double is in many of the scenes where you see Gimli’s whole body.
“With the encouragement of his seasoned movie star cast members, Beattie, who did not have an agent or any movie business experience, asked to get a screen credit befitting the amount of time and effort he’d put into Gimli. The producers agreed, saying that he was going to be listed in the credits as Gimli’s stunt, scale, and photo double. But a week later, he says, he was told that he actually couldn’t be given the screen credit, due to “movie politics’’ and “concerns about preserving the illusion that is Gimli.” Beattie is listed in the credits, but just as a stunt performer.“

“Former Goldman Sachs banker turned film producer turned Treasury Secretary of the United States Steven Mnuchin wasn't in Hollywood for long, but he built a substantial resume filled with popular movies (and some not so popular ones) during his time as a producer.
In 2013, Mnuchin's production company, Dune Entertainment, partnered with Brett Ratner's company, RatPac Entertainment, to form RatPac-Dune Entertainment. Mnuchin was producing movies left and right until recently, when President Donald Trump appointed him Treasury Secretary and he was confirmed.
He even acted in one of the films he produced — as a banker. He also produced some films that are coming out very soon. ”
““Steve is not someone who will be greatly missed,” one senior film executive told TheWrap, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
“He was fine to deal with,” another insider recalled. “A little socially awkward, but fine.”
If Mnuchin was uncomfortable around the entertainment elite, he’s certainly worked through his anxieties. He has a brief cameo playing a banker in Warren Beatty’s “Rules Don’t Apply,” which is currently in theaters.
“He enjoyed the functions and really became accustomed to the lifestyle,” the insider said.
But Mnuchin was firmly “not a creative guy. He’s a money guy who, for what it’s worth, never really cared to dive deep and reach down into an organization,” according to another film executive who worked alongside him.”
“Mnuchin’s credits also include the lackluster “Pan” with Hugh Jackman as a steampunk Captain Hook, and Ron Howard’s pricey passion flop “In the Heart of the Sea.””
“In Hollywood, Mr Mnuchin's investment firm Dune Capital teamed with Mr Murdoch's 20th Century Fox film studio to co-produce the Baz Luhrmann-directed movie Australia. The third-highest grossing Australian film of all time starred Hugh Jackman and Kidman. Dune Entertainment and Fox also developed X-Men, Borat, The Devil Wears Prada and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
After the Fox relationship ended, in 2013 Mr Packer's and film producer Brett Ratner's production company RatPac Entertainment merged with Dune to finance movies.
The RatPac-Dune Entertainment joint venture reportedly signed a $US450 million financing deal with Warner Bros to fund up to 75 films, including Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, The Lego Movie, American Sniper, Mad Max: Fury Road, Godzilla and Jersey Boys.”
