I absolutely love her existential approach and her magnetism. She is definitely on my list! Also, she translated one of my favourite books, The Call Of The Wild, by Jack London, into Portuguese :) Fun fact: did you know Clarice is the greatest jewish author since Kafka?

Brazil has lots of amazing writers. Cecilia Meireles, Fernando Pessoa, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Carolina Maria de Jesus (this one makes you want to take the heart out of your chest). But the list is too long, I can't say I have read enough of them. Oh, and Ariano Suassuna: what a genius! Brazilian romanticism has the biggest pearls. I absolutely love how my native language performs in poetry.

Answering this made me miss my home (in a good way). Que saudade!

oi!! as a brazilian just let me tell you that saudade is a feeling, so you can say "i feel super saudade" of someone <3 its such a bittersweet feeling i wish more languages could have an equivalent for expressing it

I'm very aware but thank you for clarifying for those who don't! I enjoy searching for new terms even in other languages to describe feelings because I'm a writer so the search is never ending. I'm mainly a Pac enjoyer and have been using the word for a bit in my circle of friends and stuff, I've even started using slang and stuff from Portuguese, French and Spanish. I mainly use them to cuss though because I have the mouth of a sailor lmao.

I wish to gift a feeling in return that is apart of English that I think fits the qsmp very well:

Monachopsis or the subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place. Essentially, a word that helps describe imposter syndromes feelings or even just feeling out of place! It originated from ancient Greek but an Idaho born writer named John Koenig(who went to live in Switzerland) coined it in his book "The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows".

I'm sorry it's been a hot minute since I interacted with the fandom but what is happening with Eldarya??? Also what is call of the dragon?? 👀

Oh boy anon... where to start?!

Let me try to draw a timeline...

1. The company decided to cut Eldarya in two seasons, move Lance's introduction as LI to season 2, remove other LIs and give the game to another creator since around episode 22 of TO. Since then Chino has stopped working on Eldarya and, this is my personal opinion, the person who took over had no interest in romance because since then the only romantic interactions we've had in Eldarya have been a few random sex scenes. No deep dialogues, no dates, no cuddling, not even kissing except maybe one or two exceptions and this has continued all the way through season 2.

2. In March 2021 the company hosting Beemoov's servers in Europe caught fire. Beemoov's servers were destroyed, fortunately most backups were in another building so all their games and accounts were saved except for... you guess it, Eldarya. All European language accounts were lost and the american and brazillian servers were the only ones who got spared. We all lost our accounts and the company had to come up with a way to bring people back to the game. They created a new free currency for TO and opened a shop for a few months. This led to the first season becoming completely unprofitable, plus lots of people never came back since then. Mostly old players who used to spend money on their collections.

3. New games started to be developped, Uncoven and Henri's Secret season 2. The "new" Eldarya creator went off to write Uncoven at the same time as still being theoretically in charge of Eldarya. The company started to recycle events mechanics both in MCL and Eldarya so everyone has been unhappy with events in both games because they are extremely repetitive since basically two years.

4. ANE's writing has gone more and more downhill. It'd started decently but because the writer was new and had no idea what happened in TO nor what were Chino's characters backhrounds and history, the story is full of plot holes, contraddicting things all the time and all the characters' personalities have changed. It reads like a different game.

5. Lots of people have left, very few are playing the game at this point, and even less are spending money on it, so it's very very obvious that the company is just letting it die, the game is often bugged and the art quality is a hit or miss. Only 2 episodes are left at this point. Fans who still cling to it are angry. Fans who abandoned are sad. No one wants to play ANE anymore but lots of people wish there was a revamp of the game once ANE ends, with good writing and art. However, because the game isn't making money right now the company won't invest in something that is not profitable.

About your last question, Eldarya: the Dragon's Call is a story I'm writing and publishing on my AO3. The main plot is Chinomiko's and we brainstorm together all events and characters' backgrounds and personalities. This is the story of Lance's route and Valkyon’s routes if she were to make Alternate Eldarya games. Because at the moment this isn't planned I asked her if I could write it and share it with people and she kidly said yes. If the company ever decides to make Alternate Eldarya games I will delete it. If you want to read this story, links are in the pinned post in my blog, I've released 4 chapters so far and the 5th is coming this weekend ☺️

BEA AND TORA!!!

during the whole justice league book, bea really has that 🤨🏳️‍🌈 friendship with tora. tora and green lantern guy gardner start dating and bea just really really hates him. like yes guy really did sucked at the time but she hated him a LOT to the point where many people just assumed she was actually jealous of guy from "stealing" tora from her

i tend to see bea as a lesbian. "but ian", you may ask "bea is very flirty with guys and dated a lot of men".

well, i tend to take the portrayals of bea as overly-flirty and boy-crazy with a grain of salt because bea is a brazillian woman written by a lot of white guys. latina women in general (but in this case i will talk specifically about brazillian women) are subjected to some offensive stereotype about their sexualities. many brazilian women who went abroad probably know the stereotype that "brazilian women are easy to get" and bea (a model, who dresses well and is generally sexy) is very prone to fall into the trope of a Spicy Latina

BUT, it's an interesting interpretation to see bea as someone who is actually a deeply repressed lesbian, using the stereotypes in her favour to pass as a straight woman and also avoid confrontations with her sexuality. she is a sexy woman men are looking at, there's no way she is gay, right?

now, tora. i don't really see tora as a lesbian, i think her relationship and love for guy were genuine and i tend to see her as more of an oblivious bisexual who thinks everyone sighs dreamily in love while thinking about their gal pals. while tora has some queercoding, i don't think its as apparent as bea's because tora has either been in a relationship with guy gardner or she's been dead. however, mostly of the fans still see them as sort of a package deal. fire needs ice, ice needs fire, the soulamatism. after tora was ressurected, i think we got a scene of her visiting bea before she met guy?

while bea is more fiery (get it? because), sassy, angry, presence, tora is more kind, introverted and sweet. she is one of that hopeful, really good superheroes that bring your faith in humanity. forget tom king, good-hearted tora is the best tora and that's why we love her

in their solo Fire & Ice: Welcome To Smallville it is obvious for me that the writer wanted them to date. they even have one of those break-ups gays have without even dating!!!!

there's a whole plot, after tora dies, in which bea is struggling with grief and by that time she meets the first ice maiden, sigrid (who nowadays goes by glacier). bea projects the pain of her loss into sigrid, basically wanting sigrid to fulfill the role that tora had in her life. consider that sigrid is canon bisexual and its implied that they had some sort of attraction for bea (or were at least pretending to be). sigrid really dresses up as tora and acts like tora and that causes a good shock on bea making her realize tora is gone

come on guys, sigrid dressed up and acted like tora to become closer to bea, and showed romantic interest in bea, and this was such a shock that it made bea realize that she was in love with tora but now its too late that she could not live in the past

there's also THE SCENE in jla classified #7 in which some members of the justice league international (including her best friend bea and long-term love interest guy gardner) meet tora in well, hell, and they are given the opportunity to take tora back to life by the Orpheus Protocol - tora will follow them and they can't look back.

and one of them people guiding her to the upworld is her MAJOR LOVE INTEREST GUY GARDNER. wow the story writes itself its orpheus/eurydice as guy/tora??? NO!!!!!

BECAUSE ITS BEA WHO LOOKS BACK. ITS BEA THAT LOOKS BACK WHEN THEY ARE GUIDING TORA. AND WHEN TORA'S SPIRIT DISAPPEARS SHE SAYS "Bea, you always did care too much" ORPHEUS/EURYDICE IS BEA/TORA.

anyways tora and bea are in love and they should be dating but dc are COWARDS. c'mon they aren't even major characters it won't change much

This story focuses on the sisterhood between Aloy and Beta, and I don't want to side track from this subject. With that said, there won't be any shipping involving either of the twins (only mentions/indirects about it). The only romantic pair we'll have in the main cast is Varl and Zo and a romantic tension between Elisabet and Tilda.

My art posting is inconsistent due to work, so there are times I will be able to post arts in a short timespan, and other times, it may take a while between art posts.

Both these pictures were taken during very important seasons of my life. For the next two weeks, I will be saying goodbye to my homeland. Brazil is such an amazing, magical country. I am grateful for the opportunity to have experienced the depths of its beauty and culture, like few can, living in the "portunhol salvaje" border, in this intersection of worlds.

Probably, I'm going to be writing more about my homeland once I'm gone, when my heart misses the heat, the beat, and the wild wonders.
