The RAD Cheer Squad
(Hi, hi! We’ve got some ideas in the inbox which i’m so so excited to get to - feel free to plop in some more! please read the rules in the pinned post first, tho.)
(for now, tho, have this stupidity.)
“Oh, my goodness…” Lucifer places his head in his hands.
“Oh, my goodness!” Asmo smiles wildly in excitement.
They lean forward in their seats, speaking at the same time… In entirely opposite tones.
The stadium erupts into applause. Demons are screaming, scrambling over each other to get a glimpse of the centre of the Fangol pitch. Ghosts are scurrying to focus their cameras on the scene unfolding there, which is streamed live to the big screen opposite the bleachers.
You wink at one of the cameras, then bat your eyelashes innocently as you giggle; hiding your mouth behind a set of glittery pom-poms. Another round of applause - and even louder cheering. Beel stands a little ways away with his team; who nudge and shove him playfully. They all know you too and the view on the screen changes to them hyping up the crowd and fondly sending you waves and salutes. The Avatar of Gluttony, a Ruler of the Underworld, has the goofiest, widest grin on his face as you cheekily blow him an exaggerated kiss. Another - another - chorus of applause.
You smile, satisfied.
It’s time to let your partner take the spotlight.
To the time of the marching band playing a rhythmic fanfare in the background, you spin, shimmy and sway your hips, showing off to the crowd. Asmo, Levi and Thirteen are waving fans and glowsticks. Satan and Mammon are clapping to the beat. Raphael and Simeon are smiling fondly, as Luke and Solomon make up silly cheerleading chants. You spot them where they’re sitting and flash your biggest smile. Then, just as choreographed, you give a dramatic pose. You wave to the audience. You gather all your strength… You take a deep breath… And you toss your pom-poms to…!
“… Lord Diavolo.” Lucifer and Mephistopheles groan, as the Crown Prince laughs heartily, sporting a cheerleading outfit identical to yours, in both design and size. He seems very happy, at least; even if he’s stiffly moving his hips in a circle and attempting cartwheels and backflips.
… Even if he’s accidentally flung one of his pom-poms into the face of the referee during one said-backflip.
…
… Even if he’s wearing the Devildom’s tightest miniskirt.
But, hey!
Now the crowd’s louder than ever!
(i’ve had this idea forever and initially wrote it with a much deeper backstory, all leading up to this single moment. but then i realised cheerleader!dia was pretty good on its own ahaha. if anyone ever does fanart of this pls pls pls send it my way.)

that being said, i need a dateables ver., i crave the sweet succulent angst (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡
a/n: ahh thank you! I’m so glad you and so many others liked it omg!! I got a bunch of comments and asks for a pt 2, so due to popular demand here is a dateables + luke version of learning to adapt! hope you enjoy!
warnings: there will be some small spoilers concerning seasons 3 and 4 of the og! obey me, it’s nothing major though
readjusting | learning to adapt pt 1.
it’s not the same without you
Diavolo is left with remnants of you all around him. All the belongings you left at the Demon Lord's castle remain in the same spots they were placed in by you. None of them are touched, he can’t bring himself to.
A part of him feels as if he failed you somehow, he's supposed to be the demon prince yet he couldn’t even protect the person he cherished the most.
Whenever he eats dinner it always happens to be a human world dish. One of your favorites, for some odd reason he hasn’t wanted much Devildom food since you’ve left.
Diavolo goes through many stages of grief during this time.
At first he drowns himself in his responsibilities, so much so Barbatos questions if he is receiving enough rest.
However once you get him into bed he can never seem to get out, instead he stares at the pillow case next to him and sighs. Only a few months ago you were laying there next to him smiling as you both talked late into the night about anything and everything.
He loved talking to you. If anything he misses your voice the most. That reassuring voice always seemed to brighten his day as well as others around him. That lovely voice that would put him to sleep at night when he claimed to have trouble sleeping.
If Diavolo was honest he’d give anything to hear you call his name once again.
Barbatos finds himself lonely for one of the first times in his existence.
More often than not he’s gotten used to you being alongside him as he cooks or cleans around the castle. With that in mind he’ll turn over his shoulder to ask you something but then realize you're not there. Often times when this happens he’ll make a face then silently continue cleaning.
The numerous little D’s around the castle tend to worry for him because he’s always on edge lately. Especially after a certain trip to the market he made alone.
It was a morning like any other and Barbatos set off for one of his favorite outdoor markets. Diavolo requested a human realm dish and this place was the perfect place for acquiring human realm food.
You often went with him, explaining your favorite foods and what not to him when you got the chance. He loved leaning more about you at any given chance, especially if you were alone with him.
As he stepped into the market and gathered a few goods here and there he began to pay the shop owner and then man made a remark of him missing his other half. Barbatos knew that he was referring to you and with that he payed the shop owner quickly and then left.
Ever since then he’s stopping visiting that stall.
If he’s being honest he’s not fond of making your favorite dishes for Diavolo while you’re not here. However he’ll never mention that to anyone.
Simeon wishes to be an angel again, this was the first and only time he wished that.
If he was then…maybe he could possibly aid with your safe return. That’s what he tells himself anyway. Simeon can’t help but blame himself for whatever reason for your disappearance.
While you're gone he takes this time to comfort Luke as well as the brothers. If he’s able to keep a level head then it should make others less anxious.
He also takes up cleaning most of Purgatory Hall as well as the House of Lamentation when the brothers lock themselves away for certain periods of time.
Simeon tries his hardest to remain calm and distract himself with other hobbies he likes; however each little thing he does reminds him of you.
When he picks up a pen he thinks of how you adored his work, praised it even, as you laid on his bed while he told you numerous different story plots and tales he had for upcoming chapters. When he passes a store and sees only his reflection a pang is felt in his chest. Just a few months ago both of you shared a smiling reflection in a store window as you walked hand in hand with him.
He doesn't know how much more of this he can take, but he’ll never let anyone know that.
Luke bakes himself into exhaustion. Oftentimes he bakes recipes the two of you would make when you spent the night at Purgatory Hall. Recently however, Simeon has had to stop him because the countertops are overflowing with sweets as Luke puts a new cake into the oven.
Luke likes to carry out activities you both would do together, such as watching the same shows you liked to watch with him, or visiting the same places you would take him too when you weren’t with the brothers.
Luke misses you so much but he knows you're okay, Simeon told him so. Still that doesn’t calm his emotions any less. Because of this Luke continues to pray for your safety and will bless your belongings.
This has caused some issues with the brothers because they become unable to touch that item for a while.
Just like the others he sometimes will visit your room and just sit silently in there wishing and praying for your safe return.
Bonus characters
Mephisto finds himself ignoring the desk you use while you spent time in the newspaper club room.
Sure all of your belongings are there and in the same place as well as all the pictures of the brothers and your other friends. Even him. But he doesn’t care.
It’s not as if he dusts off your desk at the end of every week and does weekly checks on your camera to make sure it’s up to date and still has all of the saved pictures you took.
It’s not as if he hasn’t downloaded a copy of the photos on your camera to is own personal laptop and scrolls through the ones you took of you and him when he feels lonely.
Of course he doesn’t miss the human who invaded his club room and made it lively like they do to every part of the school they reside in.
He doesn’t even realize that he gets the same drink every afternoon from the vending machine. It’s not as if you brought it to him every time you showed up. He just drinks it because it’s good.
And no he doesn’t glance at the door every hour or so hoping you’d barge in. Thats ludicrous. But currently its only a hope in his mind.
Thirteen sighs as she looks across the Devildom. Usually you both would be sharing this beautiful sight together, however she’s alone today. Like always.
She deems it fine. But maybe company would be nice, maybe. She’s grown found of your voice, your company, and even the atmosphere you bring to a conversation. She could sit and listen to you for hours.
She still wears the friendship bracelet you made her. It’s never been taken off once. And since she’s had a bit of spare time while you’ve been away she made you a few. Maybe some to even wear in your next life.
Since she can’t give it to you currently she put it around the base of your candle, that she watches daily; hourly even.
For her favorite human to disappear out of the blue like this made her very protective of your soul. At times she finds herself blabbing to your candle when she’s had an interesting day, or if she has a new trap idea.
To her it’s nice talking to the candle, but she really wishes to talk to the owner of it more.
At first Raphael didn’t feel completely lonely like the others. He had a decent relationship with you but it wasn’t nearly as close as Simeon’s or Luke’s for that matter.
However a part of him can’t help but try to comfort the beings around him during this time. He does truly care for the brothers so he does whatever he can to help them as well as Simeon.
At the end of the day he does find himself missing you. The conversations you would have with him were interesting and he loved the sparkle your eye would hold when he talked about his days in the celestial realm when the brothers were still angels.
He promised to take you to the celestial realm a while ago and show off in depth how beautiful it was. You smiled at his promise and he always remember that.
Sighing to himself, he currently wished to walk with you through a celestial realm garden to ease his mind.

Little Things (The Prince of Demons)
characters: Diavolo, GN!MC navigation: Diavolo | Barbatos | Simeon | Solomon | Luke | Thirteen content/warnings: little things you do, out of love. dateables edition! fluff. could be read as platonic but why would u word count: 862 notes: Alas, Dia is the only one I have finished as of now on account of how my work/life balance has been absolutely wacked recently. I'll get around to the rest eventually, I promise! I have bits and pieces here and there but the dateables don't flow as easy as the boys. Mephis will likely not be included bc I'm not even vaguely familiar with his character, and because we are both horse girls and he is my bitter rival on principle. I stared at this piece a lot but did I edit it? no

Diavolo was a lonely man. He knew a lonely childhood, tucked away in the Demon King’s palace with only the grounds staff as company. He attended lessons alone as he grew up learning what it would take to shoulder his father’s throne once he came of age. When the reigning monarch fell into his dreamless slumber, Diavolo had effectively lost yet another lifeline to anything resembling a normal existence-- a parent. As a young man (or, rather, the demon equivalent of a young man), surrounded by nobility of all kinds vying for his attention, he knew they only saw Diavolo, the Crown Prince. Even the brothers, who were the closest to being considered his friends, played along with his antics out of duty. No doubt Lucifer drilled it into them to be accommodating.
Sometimes he felt as though he was cursed-- paying for his original sin by bearing his existence, at the end of the day, alone.
That was, at least, until you came along. You, so small and fierce and human. You, who upon meeting him at the beginning of your tenure as an exchange student, held his gaze squarely and didn’t back down, even when he could practically smell your fear.
You, who for whatever reason, be it ignorance or sheer, unmitigated gall or something else entirely, didn’t for a moment treat him any differently than any other demon you met. Once you were comfortable living among magical beings, it was as if the floodgates opened. Despite horrified reactions from Lucifer and gentle chiding from Barbatos, you told him when his jokes were stupid (even if you still laughed), slapped his arm companionably when greeting him, and called him by a myriad of silly nicknames.
Your friendship is the most precious thing Diavolo has ever received in his long life. You aren’t one of his subjects, born to defer to him whether you wanted to or not. You aren’t an angel, who gave him a cautious respect for the good of your realms’ relations. You didn’t even know he existed before you came to the Devildom. You chose not to see the heir to the throne, and instead saw Diavolo-- a gentle giant with more love in his heart than he was born to carry. Diavolo, who would go to the ends of all three realms for those he cared for. Diavolo, who was loud and boisterous and always wanted to be involved. Diavolo, who liked cigar cookies and video games and could be a bit of a goofball.
He cherishes every aspect of your relationship. He loves when you send him blurry photos of various pairs of objects or animals you see when out and about, with the caption "us fr <3”. He loves getting links to dumb memes in the middle of the night, followed by laughing emojis or “this u??” You poke fun at him, bite back with quips when he makes jokes at your expense, and play silly little pranks on him. His favorite is when you gesture to something on his coat, only to flick the tip of his nose when he looks down to investigate. He’d long since caught on to that ruse, among others, but your bright smile and chirping laughter when you teased him for falling for it yet again are too precious to him to not play along.
He even appreciates the times that you turn down his invitations to spend the weekend at the palace with him, citing exhaustion from the brothers’ antics or pressing schoolwork from RAD. You’re not automatically agreeing simply because you have no choice-- you spend your limited, precious time on him because you want to. More often than not you made up for declining by showing up entirely unannounced some time later, cloaked beneath a spell to shield you from Barbatos’ sixth sense for his Lord getting up to shenanigans, beckoning him to sneak out with you to suck on thick milkshakes in some cramped corner booth and giggle conspiratorially like a couple of misbehaving teenagers.
When he’s around you, Diavolo feels like he can breathe. He doesn’t have to worry about keeping up appearances. You aren’t looking for political sway, or funding, or an elevated social status. For the first time in his life, he can set aside his heavy burden and feel... normal. He can ruffle your hair, and only half-heartedly hold you back from practically climbing him to dig your knuckles into his scalp and return the favor. He can laugh when you swat at his hand as he reaches across your plate to steal a few of your fries. He wears the friendship bracelet you braided for him at all times. He considered charming it to never fade or fray, but when it finally falls apart from wear, your mock exasperation when you tell him you’ll make him another makes him feel so real.
Diavolo was a lonely man. But now, he has a friend. A genuine, honest-to-goodness friend. You have matching contact photos, and inside jokes. You don’t call him my lord when he comes up in conversation; it’s always my friend. Now, thanks to you, he isn’t lonely anymore.

OM! Headcanons I think about at like 3 am
Simeon talks in his sleep. Like, almost every night. The topics range from spoilers for his next TSL book (Levi found that the hard way) to how Michael terrifies him. Solomon has a video of his late-night rambles, and it’s honestly endearing to see the angel babble away in his sleep.
Lilith used to bring lots of souvenirs from the Human Realm for all of her brothers, and each one cherishes whatever she brought for them. For Lucifer, it was a book, Mammon was given a wooden bead bracelet that she threaded herself, Levi got a set of paints made from seashells, Asmo was given the hand mirror that he always keeps on himself. Beel and Belphie have the most amount of gifts from Lilith.
The brothers learnt not to steal from Mammon the hard way. Once Levi, fed up with his brother’s stealing and selling of his items decided to take revenge on him by selling a wooden bead bracelet he found in the second-born’s bedroom, not knowing that it was the one given to him by Lilith after one of her Human Realm visits. It was one of the very few times that Mammon transformed into his demon form in rage and had to be held back by both Lucifer and Beel.
Dia adores butterflies ever since Barbatos took him to a butterfly garden in the Human Realm. The young prince did try to recreate it, but unfortunately, the Devildom butterflies were a little too cannibalistic for his taste.
Barbatos doesn’t really like people in his kitchen when he’s cooking or baking. The only exceptions to this particular thing are MC, Diavolo and Luke.
MC gets hounded by demons to make pacts with them after it is leaked that their magic is stronger than even Solomon. Now, based on their personality they either revel in the attention or shy away from it, but this makes Lucifer put in ‘security measures’. And by that I mean he had at least one of his brothers around MC or in their vicinity at all times. All of them are extremely territorial and do not appreciate lower demons coming up to MC to make pacts with them.
Satan and Lucifer are surprisingly more cuddly and loving with each other when they are drunk. Asmo has a video of a drunk Lucifer and Satan holding each other and crying with watching a compilation of kittens being cute. He has been sworn to secrecy by both brothers.
Belphie has an old elephant plushie that was given to him by Lucifer when he was young and wouldn’t go to sleep. It’s stashed between piles of clothes in his closet, but on especially bad nights, when his thoughts and self-doubts keep him up, he cuddles it to sleep.

It's the little things
Obey me, fluff, anxiety, comfort, self harm maybe?
When you first came to the Devildom, you might have adjusted quick, but it sure had a few changes in yourself, or maybe even entirely. But not to worry, cause the obey me boys are there for you!
.
.
.
Diavolo obviously researched a lot, with both Barbatos, and Lucifer. He made sure, that an ordinary human will be able to live there. Whether it is hydration, nutrition, foodration, proteinration. Everything, for the human that will have the most impact on the mission of one day having the three realms together.
Once you actually got there, boy was it was something for you. You didn't know what to do, with school, everyone else, the brothers, or even yourself. You were lost. But, even when Mammon didn't want to, he gave you tours, told you about everyone, and the bros, he was there most of the time. Having quality time together, and getting to know each other more. A distraction that loneliness wouldn't have ever given. He was practically the only one who let you process things slowly, since his brain works the same, and so he gets it all too well.
Still.. even with Mammon's silly shenanigans, they couldn't keep the thoughts, and anxiety from creeping in. Asmodeus having to catch you multiple times, picking at your lips, and skin of your fingers was just torture for him! Realizing that it's just anxiety, and that you don't even mean to do it, he still couldn't rest well knowing you're doing this to yourself! He would then take you to his room, or go over to yours himself with bags and boxes, full of all types of things, nail polish, skin care, makeup, etc. Doing skin care, and pedicures, teaching you all you need to know, for that cute dollface of yours.
Realizing how fragile humans can be, Lucifer had so much to learn. How much water a human needs, he is surprised, so much. How much humans eat, how many times, he is surprised, so little. How much humans sleep, once again, surprised. The average human sleeps more hours a night than he ever could, with responsibility, and his brothers. Nonetheless, he always makes sure you don't pass anything, drink your water, eat your portion of food, and go to sleep!
Beel being the expert in food, he takes you out to eat once in a while, so you can explore the wonders of food in the Devildom. Of course, with you guys getting kicked out once in a while by Beel's endless stomach, you still have fun with him. And he is right, the food in the Devildom proves to be good, with some food being almost identical to human world food, which you especially loved.
Satan knows that the boredom can kill sometimes, so once in a while he sends pile of books to your door.. which take almost an hour to clear out.. Still, it keeps the time flying by when you're alone, and need something to pull you out of the reality, that somehow you ended up in hell.
Luke, Simeon, and Solomon also want in on exploring the Devildom with you. Luke being the aware, untrusting one, Simeon being chill, and laid-back one, and Solomon is of course leading the group. Most of the times in havoc, but you all had a great time together. The perfect Angel-Human quadruplet team.
You see Barbatos often. Following the Demon Lord Prince. Tho, he is invisible most of the time. Even so, he gives advice to you whenever you need it, always responding with a soft warm welcoming smile that puts you at ease. His baking, and tea do the rest of the job for you to enjoy the time there too.

Part 3 of Obey Me X Twisted Wonderland/Barbatos X Reader
This was requested by @sonicfangirl123 and @babyxwolfiex
TW: Very sassy demons terrifying a crow, mentions of alcohol and alcohol consumption, and canon levels of violence for Obey Me.
Reader is referred to as MC.
There has been a bit of time that has passed since the end of the last one and the start of this one. It will begin the day that the festival celebrating the finding of MC is starting.
Also, fair warning, in this, MC used to live in the House of Lamentation, but currently lives in Diavolo's castle with Diavolo and Barbatos.
Enjoy!
I shifted my bodyweight from the front of my feet to the back, as I stood beside my best friends and boyfriend in front of the mirror portal.
"Calm down, MC. They'll be here soon." Lucifer sighed.
"Sorry, I'm just excited." I laughed.
"I am too!" Luke agreed, matching my impatient movement. "I haven't met their friends before! It isn't fair that you guys got to!"
"I am excited as well, but you doing that won't make them appear any faster." Simeon agreed with Lucifer, but in a much gentler tone.
"Here they are." Barbatos interrupted our discussion. I turned and practically started vibrating in excitement as their silhouettes appeared in the mirror.
They all stepped through, getting their bearings, but I was only interested in one.
"Grim!" I exclaimed, speed-walking up to the flying cat and hugging him.
"Get off me, Henchman!" He complained.
"You got your backpack?" He nodded. "I'm so excited!" I beamed. Riddle cleared his throat. "Right, sorry." I apologized, taking a few steps back. "Welcome to the Demon Lord's Castle in the Devildom. You have all been formally invited to stay here for a few days, and attend the Welcome Home Festival that starts today."
"You get a whole festival just for coming back?" Azul questioned.
"Yeah. I'm pretty well-liked in the Devildom."
"Yeah, we all like MC here." Satan agreed.
"Yes, in fact we like them so much that once we named a comet after them." Diavolo said proudly. I nodded enthusiastically when they looked to me for confirmation.
"Wow!" Kalim exclaimed, eyes shining with glee. I smiled warmly, nodding at them.
"You'll actually be split up in where you're staying. Malleus," I paused. "Where is Tsunotarou?" My friends from Twisted Wonderland looked around. "Oh my Diavolo." I sighed. "Diavolo, come on, let's go get him. We'll only be a few minutes."
"You can't just order a crown prince around!" Jamil hissed, glancing between us.
"I don't mind!" Diavolo smiled jovially.
"Yeah, Dia is really chill." I agreed, before leaning into my lovers side, who leaned into me in kind. "Please make sure Jamil relaxes. He's a 24/7 babysitter, he needs a vacation almost as bad as Lucifer does." I whispered, and Barbatos nodded, before we both stood up straight, and Diavolo and I headed into the mirror portal.
We walked through the school, past stunned students, and straight towards the Diasomnia mirror in the mirror chamber. It didn't take us very long to reach the Dracula-esque castle. I fearlessly pushed open the front doors to see Sebek approaching the doors with a bag.
"Sebek! Good, you're already on your way, we were going to pick up the others as well. If you'd wait by the portal back to the mirror chamber, we're going to retrieve Malleus." I smiled at him.
"The Young Master hasn't arrived yet?"
"No. For someone so tall with such a presence, he is very easy to lose."
"Lillia-Sama! Is Waka-Sama here still?!" Sebek yelled into the castle.
"Child of Man." I turned around, and beamed at my tall friend.
"Tsunotarou, I was worried when you didn't show up with the others. Are you ready to go?"
"Are you certain it's ok for me to go?"
"Trust me. You are no more intimidating than him." I gestured at Diavolo who stood at my side. "Plus, it's really important to me that you're there! I want you to see where I'm from, you're one of my best friends, and I want you to enjoy the festival."
"Yes. Your presence will likely be about as noticeable as the brothers. While it may turn a few heads, most people in the Devildom will not spare a glance." Diavolo reassured.
"Now that I think about it, you'll probably stand out the least." I hummed, though didn't explain my train of thought further.
"Malleus, you almost forgot your bag." Lilia appeared upside down next to me, causing me to flinch.
I don't usually flinch at intimidating presences. But when Lilia just pops out of nowhere, it scares me for some reason. Maybe it's because he hides his presence, and I can usually sense when those with presences like Malleus or Diavolo as they approach.
"You ready to go?" I smiled at Malleus, who nodded.
"I am ready as well!" I laughed a little at Sebek's enthusiasm.
"Sorry you have to miss it, Lilia. But he's in good hands." Someone has to look after the dorms, which is why all the Vice-dorm leaders are staying back, aside from Jamil. Ortho is also staying behind, simply to watch over the dorm. But he made Idia come, somehow, so, there's that.
"Take lots of pictures."
"Definitely will!" I promised, giving him a thumbs up before whipping out my phone. I sent a quick text to the group chat containing my first-year friends, making sure they were going to meet us at the mirror chamber.
Once I got a confirmation from all of them, we all headed towards the mirror portal, which was actually in the auditorium. And we emerged in the Devildom. Everyone was still there.
"Now!" I exclaimed, causing most to flinch. "As I was saying." I smiled. "You'll actually be split up in where you'll be staying. The First-years will be staying here, in the Demon Lords castle." I said. "However!" I turned to my friends. "This isn't Ramshackle, and what Barbatos says goes, got it? Behave yourselves." They nodded. "Now, Sebek." I looked at him, placing my hands on his shoulders. "Don't panic."
"What?"
"Malleus," I turned to Malleus, letting Sebek go. "you will be staying at the House of Lamentation with the Demon Brothers."
"I will?"
"Yeah. They're pretty chaotic, and they only have the one guest room. You're the only person I felt could deal with them without completely losing your mind." I laughed a little awkwardly. "Boys, I expect you to treat my friend with respect."
"Yes! Waka-sama is the Crown Prince of Briar Valley." Sebek agreed.
"True." I nodded. "Anyways. The rest of you will be split between two halls. Solomon is in charge of one, and Simeon and Luke are in charge of the other. They will actually determine who goes to which hall."
"I want him!" Luke exclaimed, standing next to Riddle. I pursed my lips.
"Luke." I was trying not to laugh, about to ask a question to him.
"Yes," I paused.
"Nevermind. It's fine with me, Riddle likes sweets anyways." I shook my head a little. "You all can duke out who goes where. But, Jamil needs to stay with Kalim. So those two are a package deal." I explained. "The Festival starts in a few hours, so until then, I guess we can take you guys to your separate living arrangements?" I looked to Barbatos for confirmation.
"I don't see why not."
"Yes!" I exclaimed. "Alright, I'll show the first-years their rooms so that they can put their stuff down and then we can head to the House of Lamentation."
"Why don't we tour the castle first?" Vil asked.
"Because you won't be here that often." I explained. "We can always do the tour of the castle later, but the other living arrangements are a good distance from here, it's just more convenient to do them as soon as we can. Plus, by the time the tours are done, the festival will be getting ready to kick off, and there'll be just enough time for Vil to prepare. Right?"
"That should be correct if the estimations of the time his routine takes is correct." Barbatos nodded.
"Rude." Vil grumbled.
"But accurate." Belphie sighed. "If you're anything like him, then you take forever to get ready."
"Basically the alternate universe version of each other." I nodded.
"What's even going to happen at the festival?" Leona asked.
"Hmm." I hummed, squinting my eyes in thought. "I know there's going to be a lot of food booths, various welcome home themed activities, and a big ball at the end of it, but I didn't do very much of the planning because they insisted it be a surprise."
"That's right!" Asmo latched onto one of my arms, and Mammon threw an arm around my shoulders.
"We planned it all!" Barbatos cleared his throat. "Except for the ball. Barbatos insisted he do that." Mammon corrected.
"Today, tomorrow, and the day after's events will be like a steretypical festival. With lots of games, food, fun, and a few amusement park rides that Diavolo rented." Asmo explained excitedly.
"And booze too!"
"Just to be clear," I added quickly, "the alcohol from the Devildom doesn't affect humans, unsure about beastmen and fae." I made sure they were aware. "If, there is alcohol from the human world, it will be marked. And there will also be nonalcoholic substitutes for those like Luke who are too young, yet will be affected by alcohol from the Devildom."
"Will you be partaking?" Azul asked.
"Not without several powerful demons around me." I smiled knowingly at him. "Don't try it."
"Noted." He nodded.
"Partaking in any alcohol, from the Devildom or otherwise, will be optional, so don't even worry about it." I shrugged.
"That's good to know." Riddle nodded.
"Yes, dealing with over a dozen drunk humans would probably be more chaotic than the actual festival."
"Probably." I agreed with Lucifer cheerfully. "I will be right back, do not leave without me." I waved for the first years to follow me, showing them to the guest quarters.
Though each of them technically had their own room, I knew my friends well enough to know that they were going to spend the majority of their time in each other's rooms or in my room. I left all of them with maps, as this castle can get kind of confusing.
But I marked several places as "Do not go. This place can and will kill you." While that may have been a bit of an exaggeration for some of these places, I also wanted to make sure they didn't cause too much trouble, for Diavolo and Barbatos, but also in case they ever wanted to visit.
I also marked the room I was staying in while they were here. Normally I'd share a room with my lover, but I knew he needed sleep and that my friends would be coming to my room in the middle of the night. Like the little gremlins they are.
After making sure they were aware of the different areas they were not allowed to go under any circumstance. I made sure to really pound that into their heads. I know that they're chaotic, but it's for their safety.
Of course, I'm not an idiot. I know my friends. They're going to try to go there anyways, despite my warnings that it could put their lives in danger. But none of them are nearly as powerful as Barbatos who put up a barrier around the areas that they aren't allowed to go into. Even combined, they won't be able to break a barrier put up by him. If my warning isn't enough to deter them, the fact that they will be physically unable to enter it should.
I made sure that they were all set up in their separate rooms. That everything was where it was supposed to be, and that they were comfortable. And then I made them change out of their dorm uniforms into more casual clothes.
No point in wearing them when not at NRC or their dorms.
All of this took about 20 minutes because they're slow. But once the entire process was done, I led them back to the entrance hall, where everyone else was as well.
"Now that that's done." I sighed approaching the group. "Let's go! I can't wait to show you all around my home town!" I beamed, as I began to lead them all out of the castle.

The Sunflower Jewel (A Michael X MC fanfic) part 1
(After Devildom falls under a mysterious non-stop snow storm, MC is borrowed by the celestial realm in exchange for a stone that can temporarily save Devildom.)
(MC goes by gender neutral pronouns.)
Mc arrived followed by their usual seven demons who all took their respective seats along the large table. Diavolo and Barbatos were already in their seats. It wasn’t long before Diavolo, with a stern and grim expression, spoke up. “You all know why you are here.”
“Who can I blame for this!” Asmodeus demanded, his hair had clearly fallen victim to the storm’s winds.
“Ya! Who ruined my money makin'! I was going to be rich!” Mammon protested.
“All the restaurants are closed…” Beelzebub groaned.
Before the rest could lay out their complaints they were stopped by Lucifer’s deadly glare. Silence fell onto the meeting room. Lucifer coughed, before meeting his attention back to Diavolo. Taking the small cue from Lucifer, the prince began to speak. “I’m sure all of you are aware of just how serious of an issue this is and just how important it is to find both the solution and source of this issue,” He went on “We have found no leads on where this storm might have come from and if we leave this storm as it is then-.” He was interrupted by a knock at the doors.
Barbatos answered the door and out came a group of familiar faces. There was Raphael, Simeon, Luke, and Solomon. Solomon with his typical smile spoke “Pardon, we can as soon as we heard.”. After being welcomed in by Dia they all took the rest of the empty seats, leaving only one chair left. Lucifer, taking note of this spoke up “Are we expecting company?”.
Diavolo looked over to Lucifer and did a subtle nod. “With this kind of matter, I asked for assistance from the celestial realm.” He answered before adding “He should be here shortly.”. Lucifer raised a brow “Who-?” but his question was already answered when there was a bright golden light outside the door followed by the meeting door being opened and out came a both familiar and unfamiliar face.
Mc gave the newcomer a curious look. It was so odd to see someone who shared so many characteristics of Lucifer but not at the same time. If it weren’t for the man’s white longer hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and outfit then it would be hard to tell Lucifer and the newcomer apart.
“Welcome, Michael. I’m so glad you come and join us.” Diavolo greeted.
“Archangel Michael!” Luke beamed, giving a smile that could practically warm up this entire cold room.
The rest of the crowd gave either a more positive or a more natural reaction to the reveal.
Michael gave a soft smile to the people around him, giving a small wave of the hand. “Hello again, I hope you’re all in good condition despite the situation.” His tone was professional but gentle at the same time. He walked over and took the empty seat beside Luke and Ralphael.
“Long time no see.” Solomon acknowledged. Michael gave a look of agreement. “We simply must meet up again sometime.” He responded but before any more familiar greetings could occur Diavolo cut to the chase. “Arch Michael, has the celestial realm agreed to assist the Devildom?”. The two gazes meet, and Michael is taken aback by the bluntness. “I do not blame you for being on edge, lord Diavolo. I know I would be too,” The Angel started “The celestial realm has agreed to help the Devildom in exchange for agreeing to our conditions.” After Michael finished his sentence there was a wave of annoyance from the demons in the room.
“Of course there are conditions,” Mammon muttered.
“Classic celestial realm,” Leviathan commented.
“What conditions?” Lucifer spoke up. The two shared eye contact before Michael reached into his bag and pulled out something that was clearly wrapped with care. With a careful hand, the angel began to unwrap it to show a beautiful jewel. “If you place this sun jewel in this castle’s tower it should create magic powerful enough to fight off the storm that has taken over the Devildom. We offer this as a temporary solution as I’m sure the answer to this storm will be found eventually.” He explained.
“That is…” Lucifer muttered under his breath.
Michael nodded. “The jewel from all those years ago, you could imagine how long it took to find it again.” The angel had a nostalgic look in his eyes as he looked down at the jewel. “As you can imagine, this artifact is incredibly precious to both the Celestial Realm and to me, which is why I cannot just let the Devildom just borrow the sunflower jewel.” He explained. “In exchange for this artifact, the celestial realm with borrow something or someone of equal value to Devildom.”.
Diavolo spoke up “We have plenty of artifacts to give.”
“I’m afraid it’s not that simple.” Michael frowned.
“Of course.” Lucifer scoffed.
The archangel coughed into his fist, getting Raphael's attention. “Raphael, could you please show them how we will ensure that we are getting something of equal value?” He asked to which Raphael stood up from his seat. Pulling out an oddly shaped stone, he began to whisper an incantation. The stone floated in Raphael’s hand, spinning round and round before suddenly bolting in MC’s direction.
MC flinched in response to the incoming rock, mammon being quick to shield them from the incoming blow. But just as the stone was about to hit, it stopped in place in mid-air. Mammon peaks over his shoulder to see the stone floating in mid-air. “Hey, what gives?!” He exclaimed in an irritated tone of voice. He still kept his arms wrapped around MC, not taking the chance.
“The judgment stone has found something of equal value,” Michael explained.
Mammon perked up. “Heh! I know I’m awesome and all but there’s no way I’m going to the celestial realm.” He said, looking ever so egotistical. He finally let go of MC, moving away from them but the stone didn’t move.
“It doesn’t want you, Mammon.” After Raphael said that, one by one it began to click to the crowd what this meant. MC would be the one that would be borrowed by the celestial realm.
“There's no way they’re going!” Mammon exclaimed, turning to look at his dear human. “Right, MC? Ya ain’t gonna agree to this are ya? Who knows how long they’ll keep ya!” MC furrowed their brow at their first man’s words, clearing thinking.
Diavolo, with his arms crossed, looked over to Michael. “Just how long will you be borrowing MC?” The prince asked the archangel. “For as long as you keep the sunflower jewel we will keep MC. Once the jewel is returned so will the exchange student.” With Michael’s words, Diavolo seemed to ponder the idea in his head. “Will MC be cared for?” He questioned. The angel nodded. “Of course, MC will be our guest after all. They’ll be treated like royalty, I presume you’ll treat our jewel with the same respect as well?”.
“I will do it.”
Everyone’s heads turned to MC. “I agree to the deal,” MC reassured with their typical look of determination in their eyes. Some of the demon brothers were about to protest but were quickly silenced by the celestial prince “Does this mean we have a deal?” He said, his blue eyes peering straight through the demon prince. Diavolo narrowed his eyes, before finally breaking his temporary silence “It’s a deal.”.

Quick-Fire Headcanons (12)
Asmo will dance in the car while he’s stuck at a traffic light.
Barbatos gets a thrill out of haggling.
Simeon gets mistaken for an employee wherever he goes; it doesn’t help that he basically enables people’s behavior.
Mammon wants to ride all of the rollercoasters at an amusement park.
Diavolo would spend all of his money on carnival games if Barbatos and Lucifer didn’t stop him.
Lucifer is usually so tired that he doesn’t care if his feet stick out of the covers as he sleeps.
People would assume that Solomon is tone deaf, but he actually has near-perfect pitch.
Levi and Diavolo would make excellent DJs.
A little-known fact about Beel is that he’s really good at beatboxing.
Asmo can turn anything into a musical instrument.
Diavolo has a tendency to celebrate anniversaries on the wrong day, but because he’s the Demon Prince, everyone around him simply moves the date of the original anniversary to whatever day he wants to celebrate it.
When Cerberus was a puppy, Lucifer took lots of pictures of him and showed them to everyone he knew.
Mammon has volunteered to help with someone’s event before, but then turns around and sends them a bill, demanding that they pay him for his service.
Asmo has mailed envelopes full of glitter to his enemies before.
Satan and Simeon both have binders full of essays on why they were right, but only Satan will crack his open to use in an argument.
Mammon and Asmo draw on the chalkboard when the teacher is out of the room.
Barbatos and Lucifer are certified in Devildom first aid training.
Simeon once mowed Purgatory Hall’s yard at 1 am as he was sleepwalking (scaring Luke and Solomon in the process).
Belphie will often leave new rolls of toilet paper on top of the toilet, much to the chagrin of all of his brothers and MC.
Beel cannot have any drinks in Styrofoam cups because he will squeeze the cup so hard that he punctures it and loses his drink.
Simeon and Lucifer still have the default background for both their computer and phone.
Solomon would feed seagulls (and other birds) laxatives.
Luke really likes pancakes, especially the ones that look like cartoon characters.

so my thoughts on obey me as someone whos completed both games and played for maybe 4 years
Things I liked:
I always enjoyed that every character is unique in personality and design and that everyone is datable so there Arnt any routes. I loved seasons 1-3 of the og game, I always look fondly on season 3 though because of how it took place in the human world, was more domestic and we got nice lore drops that didn't feel shoved in. I liked the stakes of season 1 and 2 so but id have to say season 2 is my second favorite because of how it expanded more on the first season. I do wish there was a little more worldbuilding and consistency, but I'm not too pressed about it since it does leave things open ended enough for the fandom to exist creatively in.
Season 2 of nightbringer was also good up until the end, which is where my grievances start appearing.
Things I didnt like
There was a LOT retconning in Nightbringer, which made things so confusing that I just disregard most of it as non-canon if they dont fit with what I had imagined in the first game. My two biggest peeves though are
1.) The focus on forgiving the celestial realm/ their father).
-It felt really weird how hard they were pushing the idea that the celestial realm wasn't that bad and disregarding how oppressive it was and how their father literally tried to execute their sister. I understand missing the realm (it was their home after all) and any angel living there being good people, but I'm definitely not okay with forgiving their father (god?). That guy is abusive asf, if there was ever a villain of the story, it has always been that guy. I wish I could have seen more of the characters talk about their familial (religious) trauma and not exclusively Lucifer or Simeon (which was already rare enough and the retconned at the very end).
2.) The lack of a overall plot.
-We started the story with the goal of being the one to master them all, as well as achieving Diavolo's goal of bringing peace to the 3 realms. Problem is that we never got there. The celstial realm is still oppressed, I dont even think the majority of the human world knows demon and angels exist, nor do anyone who knows seems very interested in peace. Diavolo is still the crown prince (which is fine I guess) and we never got to meet Michael. Luke still dosent seem to understand the prejudices of the Celestial Realm and we still dont know much about Solomons past, eg: who was his first aprentice, how did he meet Barb, how did he fight all of the Devildom, what was his time like as king, his family.
We never actually made any big changes, and now the games over.
Miscellaneous thoughts I have:
Don't like the same gag being used excessively for the same characters
I wish I could have seen Satans birthmark :/ its on his back
I would have liked to know more about what happened during the war, but it probably might have been too drab for the game
I think Simeons arc of not being an angel should have just left him a human
The sibling interactions in the game are hilarious
Wish there were more characters, even briefly, the cast feels a little lonely :(
The mc is perfect
Okay okay! First thank you for asking dear! 💕
Now, I'm about to yap my head off so get ready lol.
Now I too love the characters I have such a soft spot for them all especially since I found the game right when covid happened and I had to be inside all the time so the game is such a comfort thing for me. I love the designs but Satan's sweater is fucking annoying ngl but other than that no complaints! I also loved that Obey me! allowed us to date everyone but I remembered people being upset about there being no routes so I'll probably have a lot of routes so people can just pick, "do I want a harem?" "Do I wanna only be with 1,2,3,4,5,7 of them?" Ya get the point!
I truthfully haven't moved past season 3 so everything I know about both that and Nightbringer is from media or my friends but I do in fact also love 2 and parts of season 3 I feel like they were just so cute cause everyone was still figuring out their feelings and it gave us more info on how everything was going on after we left and stuff and season 3 is so domestic in the human world (also how did they get a place like I know they are the top 1% in the Devildom and it's said they can persuade humans, ➖ Mc, sorcerers and witches. But like come seriously?! How!?) I love seeing them all interact cause it's so cute and funny.
I agree the world building definitely needs to be expanded on and more fleshed out we only go to a few different places and when we do it's like we were the only people there lol, no I interactions with anyone outside the cast fr.
Again I haven't played Nightbringer I will now that I plan on writing but Irdgaf in the beginning cause everyone was like "ehhhh" "why's there need to be another game??" "Tf?" So I decided to just kinda ignore it especially since people said they didn't really like it and as you said didn't agree with where it was going so I'll talk more on that when I subject myself to that.
O.M.G
You have no idea how much this rattles me! WHY DO THEY NEED TO FORGIVE THEIR FATHER IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Like I was always annoyed by that. I mean their Dad fucking killed their little sister and exiled the brothers I mean lookkkkkkk
Got this from @flemmingbamse btw so thank you!!! 💕

They literally were exiled from their home and were forced to become a whole other species and they lost their wings/had their wings changed completely. Lucifer gave fucking birth from his back apparently which is how we get Satan and Satan is obviously wearing Lucifer's 2 lost wings and I mean imagine your so fucking pissed you have a god damn child from your anger. Like apagejsjakaopahaiqkqh. Their status in heaven? Gone. Family? Besides each other, Gone. Lilith? Dead. Their home? Not their home anymore. Anyone else they love, who fr weren't a real one low-key. (Kinda looking at Simeon but it's obvious he regrets it so I'm blinking slowly) BUT Raphael? Michael? Actually I don't think Michael is god. God is god. Michael is a seraphim. So they are the children of God or Seraphim? Either way, BULLSHIT! everyone turned their backs on them. And that war I think it's a testament to how strong they are cause they went against ALL of heaven and still held their own granted they lost but they were against ALL of heaven and I think they only really lost cause of Lilith being hit by an arrow and Lucifer giving birth. (Still can't get over that). And I mean they got punished from heaven to hell, literally. So they are still being punished? Does Michael wanna be forgiven or not? Bitch ass fr. NO SYMPATHY.
I will come back to this but the Brothers definitely have religious trauma and I think that Simone started realizing that right before the war was happening when he had to fight Lucifer and saw he was on opposite sides of the battle filed and it's obvious he regrets it and wishes he fought on their side. I think it's a tell tale with how Luke acts and angles are told that God is great and Michael is great and everything they do is right. I mean look at how Luke admires- no, idolizes Michael. I think whenever he brings up Michael the brothers get really quiet and just nod along to just get him to shut up. I think there is super manipulation going on in heaven and only the higher angles, archangel and seraphim are aware of what is going on but not ALWAYS aware which is how Simone got started to officially realize just how wrong Michael's mindset is and started to oppose it silently and when he started getting louder and started falling for Mc this God and Michael got mad (idk fr its a thought tho). But I don't think heaven is it fr.
Now on the lack of plot everything did feel everywhere some times like some things we're just happening just cause and I feel like Dia's dream was kinda side tracked and after Mc got pacts things were just kinda happening lol. Ngl I think Michael's bitch. Not sure if y'all could tell but yeah. Still I'd like to know more about him too. Now Solomon the shady sorcerer we know and love. Now I heard some people say that they think he was Lilith's lover, the one who she and is the whole reason the war happened, fell in love with and tried to save with a potion which is why Solomon has lived so long. But I'm not too sure about that cause other sorcerers and witches also live super long probably because they are more than likely taking potions or casting spells and he'd probably do that too cause he's one of the great sorcerers and I think it was said that it was another guy Lilith was with but I don't remember. Also irrelevant but, It's said that man got like 300 wives or some shit so he's a whor- Truthfully, I need to think about him a bit more cause I feel like I could say anything about him for real cause that mf is SHADY! lol but I think Asmo would be a bit easy for him to get a pact with since, well, he's Asmo, and I mean look at their relationship. but Asmo did also give the Mc a hard time when they were trying to get his pact so idk. BUT what I wanna know is how that mf got Barbatos to get in a pact with him CAUSE I KNOW THAT MF HATE THAT SHADY OLD MAN I SWEAR- but it's obvious Babs has some sort of animosity towards Sol so I don't know what to think about that.
Hmmm I don't know exactly what you mean by gags but if you mean the same trope or joke being done I totally get that.
When Satan came out of Lucifer he took 2 of his wings with him. Satan has a birth mark on his back in the exact same spot Lucifer lost his wings and both the scar on Lucifer's back and Satan's birthmark look exactly the same.
Ngl I'mma flesh out that whole war and all those bitch ass angles fr. With all their eyes and shit and apparently can't see the BS right in front of em. ALSO there has been so many games/shows where angles are these fuckass manipulative oppressive hypocritical beings who are like kinda crazy and they throw a lot of religious trauma in there fr and I'm not mad at it. Also I think angle's true forms are ugly/scary (I don't know the feeling honestly) . Like uglier/scarier than the demon's true forms. Maybe that's just me. I don't know.
Simone....I'm not sure if I wanted him to be a human or demon but I definitely don't think he should have gone back to being an angel. There was no point in that and it could have helped emphasize how he loved the brothers and wanted to be with his brothers and he should have been in the first place on their side. It could have shown how he was learning just how wrong the war even happening in the first place was. Him going back to being an angel just, like for me at least, completely ruins that while plotline. It's stupid. I'm not sure which is better for him to be, demon or human, but he won't end an Angle that's for sure.
Yes as I said too lonely definitely needs more characters and will happily add them and will take any requests or oc's or anything. The mc is amazing lol
I'm happy to hear anyone's ideas and as always reblogs are loved and appreciated. I'd love anything anyone could give me! 🩷

move fast, keep quiet
pairing: raphael / gn!mc [obey me!]
sfw - this is just pure fluff lol
hallway brushes that turns into casual conversations, that turns into walking to your next class together, that turns into whispered nothings, that turns into something more
[set in the OG timeline, pre-NB]
-
"Good morning."
His tone is casual, monotonous. You look up from your D.D.D to see the angel in front of you, arm raised halfway in a greeting.
"Raphael! Good morning," you respond in kind with a smile.
You haven't known Raphael for long, but you realize that sincerity is laced in every encounter you've had with him, despite what the tone in his voice might suggest. Although the brothers describe him as strict and meticulous, you find the silence that usually comes with his presence quite comforting, a complete contrast to the daily rambunctious antics in the House of Lamentation.
"You're early today. Don't you usually come with Mammon?" he asks, glancing around you in case he missed the demon in question.
"Oh, Diavolo asked me to come in early so I can look through some of the proposals regarding future exchange programs," you respond. "I actually came with Satan today, but he wanted to stop by the library first."
"I see..." he trails off, as if in thought. "Can I walk you there?"
You blink in surprise.
"To the student council room? Sure, but are you sure you're not busy?" you reply, not expecting the offer. He gives a curt nod.
"I'm waiting for Simeon and Luke, so I don't have anything to do until then."
"If that's the case... yeah, let's go! I could use the company," you smile. Though his face remains unchanged, you can sense he's content that you accepted.
The two of you chat about recent happenings, from Mammon's latest grimm escapades to Luke accidentally drinking Solomon's concoction that he left in the fridge ("--he should really stop doing that", you interject.) that made the poor angel croak for the entirity of the afternoon. Luke was apparently grumpy for the rest of the night, so Simeon baked some cookies to cheer him up, which worked. ("--the cookies were good," he commented.)
The walk to the student council room isn't too long, and before you realize it, you're both standing at its doors. "I might as well say hi to Lord Diavolo and Barbatos," was what he said as he held the door for you. You whisper a quiet thanks as you walk past, and hear the scuffle of his feet as he walks in right after.
"There you are, good morning!" Diavolo's voice resounds within the room, enthusiasm peaked as always. Barbatos bows beside him in acknowledgement, walking off to prepare your seat.
"Good morning, Dia, Barb," you return their greeting accompanied with a warm smile.
"Hm? Is that Raphael behind you?" The prince finally notices your companion, who gives a nod.
"Good morning, Lord Diavolo. I was merely taking them to you. I apologize for the intrusion."
"Nonsense!" The prince laughs in assurance. "You and the other angels are always welcome to stop by."
You glance at the angel, who only gives another nod in response.
"I'll be on my way then," he turns to you.
"Thanks for walking me here," you say, thanking him with a smile.
"See you around."
You might've imagined it, but you were almost certain your fingers brushed for a second as he walked back, and you swallow the warmth that overtakes you, pushing it aside so you can start your duties.
-
Walking with Raphael becomes somewhat of a norm.
The repeating trend goes like this - you've just finished your Devildom History class, and as you walk out, he's somehow also nearby, which ends with him walking you to your next class. Sometimes, one of the brothers notices, and he ignores every one of their whines when they point it out. There are days when Luke and Simeon join the two of you (and if it's lunchtime, the twins are there with you too).
You talk about many different things - you ask a lot of stuff about the Celestial Realm, and he'll often tell a story or two from back when the brothers were still angels. There's a fondness in his tone whenever he recounts those memories, but you know he's content just knowing that the brothers are all together and happy in the Devildom. He asks you about your life in the Human Realm and what you were like before the exchange program, and you tell him of your days before the greatest plot twist of your life.
Somehow, you also manage to convince him to start teaching you how to sew. ("--literally not a day goes by where I don't have at least one tear on my clothes," you tell him.) You told him of that one time Beel started chewing through your school jacket because you spilled some juice on it, and then another time you tripped over a tangled wire in Levi's room, causing the seam of your jeans to split. ("--it's a miracle you still have any clothing left to wear," he comments. You swear you saw him hold back a laugh, but you don't mention it.)
Eventually he starts walking you back to the House of Lamentation, too. You're usually stuck doing student council duties after classes, so when it first happens, you're surprised to see him still on campus.
He manages to find a different reason each time you ask.
"I was at the library."
"I was sitting in the garden and lost track of time."
"I forgot something in the classroom so I came to pick it up."
He doesn't bother defending himself when one day, you walk out of the student council room, waving at him - "Thanks for waiting for me." He simply nods in acknowledgment.
-
When he walks side by side with you, sometimes your fingers brush; some instances longer than others, and you can't help but wonder what his hands would feel like on yours. Simeon once mentioned that angels had higher body temperatures, so would that mean his hands would be warm? Gentle?
As these thoughts run through your mind, you don't notice turquoise eyes on you the entire time, almost mapping each crevace of your face. He looks at your empty hand right next to his, and he finds himself wondering how it would feel like as he held it.
-
One day, the dam finally breaks.
He's walking you back to the House of Lamentation as always, and you're talking about Thirteen egging on Mephisto earlier that day. You stifle a laugh as you recount the noble waving his cane around ("like an old man," you describe), as he chased the reaper.
Your fingers are brushing against his again, but unlike most days when it's an unspoken tension, you feel the other hand slowly creeping up to yours, before it wraps it in its warmth. You look at your now-intertwined hands, and then to his face, seemingly avoiding eye contact with you. There's a warmth in his cheeks, and you feel his hand squeeze yours lightly, as if asking for assurance.
"Your hands are warm," you whisper, squeezing in return. From the corner of your eye you see his lips twitch upwards in a small smile, but you don't point it out.
When you reach the house, it takes some time for him to release his grip, but as he does, he takes his other hand, holding yours with both of his, and he brings it close to his face and plants a kiss to your palms, his eyes on you the entire time.
Your face is flushed, both in embarassment and twitterpation, as you try to avert your gaze from his - to no avail. You fear he can hear how fast your heart is beating even from a distance, as he sets down your hand he's been holding.
"I'll see you tomorrow," a rare smile is plastered on his face, which only worsens your poor heart's pounding.
"Yeah," you finally manage to breath out. "Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow."
You watch him walk away, heading back to Purgatory Hall, and start formulating a plan to get back to him. Maybe a kiss when he's not looking? You'll polish that thought later.
And as you drift off to sleep that night, you dream about the warmth of his touch, and wonder how warm the rest of him is.

C H A P T E R V I
「 A Chat Under the Stars 」
A beautiful night sky blessed the grand ball being held at the Demon Lord's Castle. The sky had a darker colour, mixed with purple and blue hues as if it were painted by the most skilled painter. The stars did their best to outshine the beautiful glow of the moon, illuminating the whole realm. It was certainly a wonderful sight to behold.
After the prince's and his butler's welcoming speeches, everyone was left to their own enjoyment. Chatter filled the room as everyone met up with the people they knew. But you? You stayed in place; back against the wall, and an empty glass in hand. It was previously filled with the most exquisite Demonus, but before you knew it, you already chugged it down. Not one drop remaining. You thought you would enjoy the party, maybe even get the chance to talk to your demons again, but somehow Soley was always there to take them away just before they could even notice your presence.
You previously arrived at the castle with three angels and one sorcerer, but they got swept away from you by their adoring crowd. You watched as Solomon laughed along with other sorcerers and witches. Simeon was with Luke, discussing Devildom food with the other angels who were invited, and Cassiel was nowhere on the floor to be found. The more you watched, the more lonely you felt. You already tried hard enough to catch everyone's attention, but enough was enough. To calm your aching head, you stepped outside for a while and into the quiet gardens you ventured. You were hoping to be alone, to do some thinking, but there you found Cassiel, along with Leviathan. They seemed to be in the middle of a conversation, something you didn't mean to listen to.
"I already told you multiple times, Levi. You don't need to act like that around me just because we technically aren't brothers anymore."
"A-Are you sure...? I just th-thought that you would be disappointed with me. I know it was a long time ago, but I... I did fall..."
"... Are you saying all this because you feel guilty falling with your brothers?"
"What? O-Of course not! No matter where they go, I'm always there to follow them!"
"Then stop acting all sad whenever you see me. That's not the look I want to see whenever we meet, you know. No matter what you become, Levi, you'll always be my brother. You and your brothers will always be family to me, and I'm proud of all of you."
"C-C-Cassiel...!"
"Wh-Whoa, hey, don't cry!"
A smile slowly appeared on your face as you watched the Avatar of Envy cling onto the angel in front of him. He sobbed so loudly that you couldn't hear what Cassiel was telling him, but you know that he was trying to comfort the demon. The moonlight illuminated both of them in their embrace. It was a beautiful view. Until Leviathan's D.D.D. rang, and he answered the call immediately upon seeing the ID.
"I-I'll be right there...!" With him only saying that in return, the caller hung up on him. You already had a feeling who it was, and apparently Cassiel did, too.
"Let me guess... the little princess wants you to pick up the toy she purposely dropped?"
"Cassiel... th-that's..."
"I'm sorry, Levi, don't mind me. Go on ahead and help her. I'll be staying here."
"Thanks...! I'll see you again later!"
As soon as Leviathan ran off back inside the castle, Cassiel cleared his throat and turned your way, looking at you straight in the eye. "It's quite rude to eavesdrop, you know." Despite him saying that, he had a gentle smile on his face. "Step into the light with me, MC. You'll be able to feel its warmth."
"Does the moon emit warmth?" You questioned with an innocent twinkle in your eyes, heading towards him and taking his outstretched hand. He was slightly taken aback and chuckled at your question, covering his mouth with the back of his free hand as he looked at you.
"Well, no, I don’t think so. But tonight's special, so it might? Maybe you can stay here with me long enough until we feel it. What do you say?" He was looking at you with gentle eyes. With his question, you felt like he was holding his hand out for you to take even when you were already holding it, so in return, you gave his hand a light squeeze, which he appreciated. The two of you found a place in the garden where the moon shone the brightest. Cassiel pulled out a blanket out of thin air and laid it on the grass before ushering you to sit down next to him.
"How did you do that, Cassiel?"
"Someone I know has always been fond of picnics since he was a child, so I taught myself how to conjure up objects such as this. It's quite handy for such occasions, isn't it?"
"Yeah, that's amazing!"
"Oh, it's hardly that. You're a sorcerer yourself, MC. Surely, something like this is elementary for you."
"I, well, I didn't learn something like that yet... Oh, but I can summon my pact demons whenever I want!"
Cassiel raised his eyebrow at you before slightly nodding to himself. "You mean the seven brothers, right? You must have a lot of power and influence on them to be able to summon them whenever it suits you. I'm glad that it's you who has that power over them and not..." He trailed off, eyes wandering to the lake that rested in front of you both. He watched as the water rippled with every leaf and flower petal that fell onto its surface. You already knew what he was trying to say.
It looked like Cassiel didn't like Soley. Maybe he still didn't get over the girl's first impression on everyone. But your first impression of Cassiel himself wasn't a nice one either.
"To be frank, and I mean no offence to you, Prince Diavolo, but I never wanted to attend this school. A place crawling with demons is not a pretty sight for me, but I have a duty to uphold. It is the very reason for my presence here.
Please do not misunderstand anything."
You laughed at the thought, wondering how Cassiel changed in only a few months. Whenever you saw him at school, talking with demons, he had a smile on his face. It wasn't a forced smile out of politeness, no. It was genuine. He really was enjoying himself.
"You must be wondering what changed me, mustn't you?" As if he could read your mind, Cassiel gazed at you with a slight smirk. His head rested on the back of his hand that lay on his bent knee. Your surprised face made him laugh before he sighed and turned his head back to the water, adjusting his glasses and resting his chin on his hand. "To be honest, I didn't actually change. I was just lying when I said I didn't want to attend this school. In fact, it was me who begged Michael to let me participate as an exchange student for the new school year."
"Then why did you lie on the first meeting?"
"Well, I... I was scared." You felt the angel's hand twitch as he spoke. He chuckled to himself before shaking his head. "But it turns out I had nothing to be afraid of. The brothers still treated me the same way they did before the war, so I thought that I could stop pretending and just be honest with them. I still love them as my family, even when most of the angels don't anymore."
"Did you... Did you wish you fell with them?"
Silence met both of you as the angel wandered in his thoughts. He tried to pick the right words to say, but what exactly were the right words for that question?
Yes, he wished that it was different. He wished to have followed the brothers down into the Devildom, but fear stopped him from taking that first step. And because of that fear, he kept regretting it to this very day.
"That's enough about me," he said with a shaky sigh before fidgeting with his glasses a little and taking you in his sight once again. "Tell me how you've been, MC. I'm sorry I haven't been able to spend time with you at all, but you always seemed so busy with the others."
Was he jealous? But why would he be? You two haven't even exchanged many words until tonight. You averted your gaze and tilted your head up, admiring the shine of the stars out of your reach.
"Have you..." You paused to think, trying to gather your thoughts into clear sentences. "What would you do if... if you don't feel welcome at a certain place anymore? Like, I mean, what if that place was something you love because your, uhm, family was in it?"
Was that too obvious?
As you hoped he wouldn't understand the meaning behind your words— or maybe you did, you kept staring at the night sky, which turned out to be embarrassing to keep your face visible, so instead, you hung your head low. You couldn't see Cassiel's expression, so you didn't know that he actually got your message. He stared at you, wide-eyed as he was surprised. He already saw how close Soley was getting to the brothers. He didn't like it either, but the fact that they were pushing you aside just for her? He was furious. How could they?
In the Celestial Realm, they kept receiving news about how you were making the brothers' lives better; how you were helping them see the light in that deep, dark pit they dug themselves into. So to see you in this state, arms wrapped around your legs and face buried in your knees while you tried to keep yourself from crying; Cassiel was fuming. But because you tried your best to hide your feelings, he felt like he needed to respect that. He knew you didn't deserve any of what the brothers were doing to you, so he said something that he thought might be better than the current treatment you were getting.
"Why don't you leave the Devildom?"
"MC! There you are!"
You just entered the ballroom when someone called out to you. You turned your head to the side and found Soley running your way. When she looked at what you're wearing, she paused for a moment, the clear hatred on her face showed before it disappeared within the blink of an eye. She clearly wasn't good at hiding how she felt. At least not at first.
"Soley? Do you need something?" You asked, your voice pulling her back from her thoughts, and she shook her head in response.
"I'm just looking for Cassiel. Have you seen him?"
You studied the girl's face and movements, barely processing her words as you remembered what you talked to the angel about.
"You don't like Soley, do you? You always seem upset whenever she's in the conversation."
"Ahaha, you're quite perceptive, aren’t you, MC? Well, you're right. I'm not really fond of her even when she's a human. I try my best to avoid seeing her."
"MC?"
"Oh uhh, n-no, sorry. I haven't seen him. He disappeared as soon as the ball began."
Soley looked at you in disbelief as if she knew something that you were clearly hiding. You became curious at what that look meant, but she brushed it aside and went off on her own way. Where to? Right, back to the demon brothers.
You took another glass full of Demonus, hiding yourself in the lounge that Diavolo and Barbatos prepared specially for you just in case you needed it. You plopped yourself on the soft couch and let your shoulders release the tension they built up. You let your mind wander until it reached that very question once more.
"Why don't you leave the Devildom?"

Micheal
Name: Micheal
Titles: Avatar of Humility, Saint Michael
Alias: Mike/Mikey (by the Seraphim), My Little Sun (by Asherah), (My) Clear Quartz (by Juliet), the Sun of the Celestial Realm
Gender: Male
Species: Angel
Birthday: August 8
Zodiac: Leo
Status: Alive
PERSONALITY
Micheal is seen as the embodiment of angelic humility and grace, in other words: the perfect representative of the Celestial Realm. To the majority of the Celestial Realm, Micheal is kind and graceful, fitting for the Prince of the Seraphim. His charm and charisma has most of the Celestial Realm fooled.
But those close to him — past and present — would say a different story regarding Micheal. Behind closed doors, he can be very intimidating and ruthless at times. His siblings often comment that while socially inept he is, their older brother has a reputation of being terrifying, especially when it comes to how he handles punishments.
Micheal, albeit quite lazy regarding his work, can be known incredibly intelligent as well as manipulative when he wants something. He’s regarded as a master tactician and strategist, his plans often praised for being pretty foolproof. That being said, he mainly use his manipulation skills to benefit him, like him trying to get Seraphina to transfer to the Celestial Realm.
He deeply cares about his siblings and mother greatly. So much so that he is willing to kill in order to protect them from danger, even if it’s not needed (and it’s not most of the time).
PREFERENCES
LIKES
Sweets, his siblings (yes, including Lucifer), his mother Asherah, Seraphina, anyone made in Asherah's image, those with a pure soul, writing, reading, poetry, astronomy, playing pranks, classical music, morning, birds, snow, being with Luke, Simeon’s work
DISLIKES
Doing work, Raphael making him work, not getting his way, Juliet, the Celestial War, Lilith, demons, the Devildom, his past with Marianne, Mammon when he was younger, his scars, sour candy, his Father favoring Lucifer, most of the Morningstars
BACKGROUND
Michael was one of the first angels to be created by both God and Asherah, alongside his twin Lucifer. While his Father was extremely strict on him and strongly favored Lucifer among him and the rest of their siblings, Michael was very close to his mother Asherah. Whenever he wasn't training with Father, Michael would spend any free time with his Mother over by the Tree of Life.
After more angels were being created, Michael helped his Father building the Celestial Realm from the ground up. Throughout the centuries, Michael soon become the (official) leader of the Celestial Realm, being crowned the First Heavenly Prince. While Lucifer did lend a helping hand with Michael, often splitting the work between themself, there have been times where Michael find Lucifer spending time on his new little siblings.
One day, Michael met Mammon, a rather young angel who was said to be a bit of a handful. He took up the challenge and it worked...for a while until he couldn't handle Mammon either. Soon enough, Mammon was placed in Lucifer, who somehow managed to connect with Mammon much better than Michael.
When Michael learned about Lilith stealing fruit to heal her dying lover, he was the one who judged and declared her punishment of death. This decision was a main spark of the Celestial War, where 1/3 of the Celestial Realm angels' sided with Lucifer and the Morningstar siblings in keeping Lilith from dying. Michael mainly fought Lucifer, which is how he got his scars. He knew that Lucifer was better at fighting than he was due to the centuries of not doing as much sparring practice as his younger twin.
Once the dust settled, the Morningstars and the 1/3 angels fell and Lilith was declared dead by Raphael.
TRIVIA
Michael got both of his scars from Lucifer. The first one was on his nose and he got it when Lucifer landing an attack him while they were training. His second scar came from during the Celestial War when Lucifer attacked him to keep him away from Lilith.
He was a constant target for Belphie and Lilith's pranks on him and Lucifer.
Michael hasn't formally met Satan, but he saw him being born from Lucifer after the latter heard that Lilith was struck by Raphael.
He fully blames Lilith for the Celestial War.

I can see through you
Chapter 1 (you're here) Chapter 2
Satan/gn! MC (they/them pronouns)
Third person POV (both Satan and MC)
2280 words
Kind of angst?? I guess?? It's more of an exploration of Satan and MC's feelings at the beginning of Nightbringer
At first, MC was far more concerned about going back to their time rather than rebuilding their relationships, but Nightbringer, the cause of all their current troubles, had specifically "explained" that rebuilding their relationships was exactly what they had to do.
And it wasn't exactly easy.
The hardest person to get close to was, in fact, the person in a situation similar to theirs:
Satan.
Uhh not really spoilers tbh except for a brief mention about Simeon's situation in the late lessons of the og Obey me and uhh spoilers for one of the early lessons in NB? Early as in around lesson 8 I can't be bothered to check which one rn
This is my first time posting my writing anywhere so please be nice lmao
Also english isn't my first language so there's that
Yeah so I haven't gotten very far in Nightbringer but I got this idea about how Satan and MC were in similar situations in NB and thus this was born
This part is purely platonic but I do intend to make it romantic as it goes on so yeah enjoy :))
It was quite a bizarre situation.
Bizarre as in familiar and unfamiliar all the same.
MC couldn't help being reminded of when they first arrived at the Devildom- as a human exchange student and not as a lost and confused demon; Lucifer and his brothers were wary of them again, Luke was complaining about the demons, Simeon was trying to make the best of a bad deal, Diavolo and Barbatos seemed all too pleased with the situation MC had found themselves in, and Solomon was... still shady.
All of that felt familiar, but unfamiliar feelings started with their new room, at their new house, with their new roommate.
Who would have thought MC would come to miss the ruckus at the House of Lamentation?
And sure, it was funny to see Mammon and Luke bicker with each other; the young angel calling Mammon all sorts of pg-7 insults while the demon answered back with the same type of insults, but MC felt a pang of pain in their chest every time it was at them who Luke looked at with fear in his eyes, when it used to be them who Luke would go at seeking refugee from the demons "torturing" him.
And seeing Simeon so nostalgic felt strange as well, especially knowing the fate that the Simeon from their time fared.
It once was MC who asked millions of questions to Diavolo and Barbatos, while it was now the pair who tried to pry answers from them; answers they either didn't have or were strictly forbidden by Solomon to share.
Lying to all of them, to their family was the worst feeling in the world.
And even after revealing the truth about their nature, they still felt guilt.
And it felt even worse to see everyone around them with their already built relationships, something MC would have to make from scratch all over again.
Satan.
The young demon wanted nothing to do with his "brothers" or the angels or the demon prince and his butler or the shady sorcerer said butler hated for some unknown reason.
And especially, he wanted nothing to do with his "attendant" who was supposed to help him around the Devildom.
Satan didn't want help.
He wanted the exact opposite, in fact.
Rage consumed him day and night. His own rage confused him and exhausted him.
His mere existence was as exhausting for him as it was for his brothers.
None of them wanted to care for him, and the feeling was mutual.
What did Satan truly want? He didn't know, but he did know that whatever was going on in his life at the moment was not it.
Half his life wasn't even his own, it was part of an angel-turned-demon who due to his rage, created a being on his own and had the pride to call his, his brother.
Satan loathed Lucifer as much as he loathed himself. Hating Lucifer made his rage complete; his whole existence, his whole being was consumed by his own rage.
And he was punished by his rage.
Punished by his own nature.
Satan felt as if his brothers hated his mere existence, as if all they could make out of him was his rage.
Was it all that made him?
His rage? His resentment?
He wished he knew.
He felt like a stranger in his own body, in his own mind.
He hated feeling this way. He hated feeling like an extension of someone's worst feelings, and he absolutely despised anyone else viewing him as such.
He was a stranger in his own body, in his own mind, in his own family.
And MC could relate to that.
The way they presented themselves to the brothers and to everyone else made them feel strange, distant, different.
They were both strangers in the place they were placed at, neither of them feeling like they belonged, neither of them wanting to belong, yet both of them being forced to find themselves amongst everyone else.
MC knew how Satan felt. They knew very well about Satan's insecurities and fears, as he had laid them out to them.
He didn't feel like a stranger in his family in the present time anymore, yet MC recalled Satan telling them just how horrible it was for him when he was just created.
They could see it in him, how he would purposely distance himself from his family so as to not make them boil over, to not make himself boil over.
And they hated seeing him like this. Satan did distance himself from his brothers every once in a while in their time; whenever he felt close to bursting, but he was able to control it fairly well.
But in the past? Satan was still figuring out the mechanics of being alive and how to handle himself.
Which is why more often than not he ended up being chained up in a closet by his brothers.
MC empathized with him the most. And so they tried to get close to him.
But he didn't make it easy.
He hated the idea of being alive, yet he hated the idea of having someone help him how the whole being alive thing worked.
He snapped at MC every time they approached him, and he did everything he could to stay away from them.
But they didn't make it easy.
..................................................................
It was still early. The sky was still an orange-purple-ish tone, and the birds were starting to sing their song. Half of his brothers were still in bed, yet there it was, the knocking on the door Satan had come to know.
Tap-tippytaptap-tap-tap
The knocking on the door he had come to hate.
He let out a groan from his place in the dining room, where he sat alone, and walked down the hallway to receive the attendant.
When they first started coming, Satan didn't even respond to their knocking, but he had learned that if they were left waiting at the door for long enough, their tap-tippytaptap-tap-tap's only got louder and louder the longer they were left waiting.
If they were waiting long enough, they just started calling their D.D.D.s.
One by one.
Besides, if he purposely left the attendant waiting outside, Lucifer would just yell at him as soon as he found out they weren't let in as soon as they arrived.
Yeah, Satan didn't need to deal with the guy's yelling so early on.
So, despite his disgust and complete discontent to receive them, he went to open the door.
And there he found them.
His annoying attendant, a smile on their face as soon as the door was opened.
"Good morning, Satan! How did you sleep today?"
Their cheery tone annoyed him to no end.
"Good"
It wasn't true, but he had learned that if he told the truth, and told them that he was plagued by nightmares about memories that didn't even belong to him all night long, they would just start asking him questions about his wellbeing and listing remedies he could try against insomnia.
Their smile just got wider.
"Great!"
After that, they both went silent.
If they were expecting him to ask how their night was, they'd be waiting until the cows came home.
Despite his reluctance to have a conversation, their smile never faded, and they went on to say:
"So, may I come in?"
Satan shrugged, feeling the anger bubbling up in him already.
He stepped aside without saying a word, and they entered the house with a bounce to their step.
He shut the door behind him, and turned around to go back to the dining room when the attendant said:
"By the way, I have something for you"
He turned around, a dumbfounded "what?" leaving him and a puzzled expression on his face.
It was only then that he noticed the book they were carrying.
He approached them, eyeing the book warily.
It was fairly old and torn, the leather covers eaten away by time.
MC presented the book to him, a grin plastered on their face at his curious expression.
On the cover, there was the engraving of a cat, laying down on a meadow.
Satan traced the engraving with his fingers, mesmerized by the creature portrayed in it.
"What is...?"
"Solomon has a lot of books in Cocytus Hall," they started explaining. "I was looking around the library the other day, when I found this book. I asked Solomon about it, and he explained to me that it's the story of the day-to-day life of a man through his cat's eyes"
Satan's eyes started to glimmer with their words.
"I skimmed through it, and found it quite interesting. It depicts the life of this man, with a life most mundane, but from his cat's point of view, his life suddenly becomes much more exciting"
"Solomon is also a fan of cats, you see," they smiled. "He read this book a long time ago, and when he explained to me what it was about, the first thing I thought about was you"
Satan started at their words.
"Me?" He asked. "Why would you think of me?"
The attendant giggled. By Diavolo, he hated them.
"What do you mean 'why would I think of you?'? I recall how fascinated you were with that cat we found a few days ago"
Satan recalled their meeting. They talked for a while and he got to pet a creature he had come to love in a short amount of time, a cat.
"I assume you already made your research about cats," They were right, of course, but why would they assume that about him? And how were they right about him? "So, I figured, now that you know more about them, you'd be interested in this book"
They presented him the book once again, and he hesitated before taking it.
"Is it really okay for me to have it? I mean, I don't want Solomon up my ass for keeping one of his books"
They let out a laugh, and their eyes crinkled on the corners and glimmered with mirth.
Foul.
"I specifically asked him if you could have it, and he assured me he was happy you'd have it. He did, however, ask me to ask you to tell him what you thought about the book after you read it"
He scoffed.
"Sure, I'll let him know"
Their eyes softened.
"And do let me know if you enjoy the book as well. I haven't read it myself, so I might ask you to lend it to me once you finish it"
He shrugged again.
"Sure, I will"
They gave him a smile and then they both went silent once again.
"I'll go check on Lucifer, then"
Like clockwork, every morning they were there, they would first go to Lucifer's office to ask him about their plans that day, so they could schedule their day according to theirs.
Satan nodded, and they started walking down the hallway with that bounce on their step again when he croaked:
"MC?"
They turned around, shock in their face that went away as fast as it appeared.
"Yes?"
"Thank you, for, uh- the book"
What?
They grinned at him.
"You're welcome!"
They turned back around and disappeared around a corner.
What was that?
Why did he stutter?
And why did he thank them?
He looked down at the book in his hands, and stared at the intricate design on the cover.
He opened the book and skimmed through the pages. Despite the cover appearing old and withered, its pages were in perfect condition.
Perhaps Solomon had placed a spell on it to keep its contents intact.
Whatever the case, Satan was glad to have something new to read.
It was written in a human language he identified as sumerian.
He was still perfecting his human language knowledge, but he felt confident enough to be able to read it.
And even then, he enjoyed a challenge.
He couldn't wait to get started in his new book.
He walked the path to his room, a light smile on his face.
..................................................................
"Sure, I'd love to give it to him, but don't you want to read it first?"
"Solomon," they started "I don't know sumerian"
"And are you sure Satan does?"
"The Satan from our time definitely does"
Solomon was taken aback. "How do you know he knows sumerian?"
"Because he once lent me a book that was written in sumerian, and when I tried to explain to him that I didn't know the language, he just said: 'what do you mean you don't know sumerian? You're a human, and besides, sumerian is very easy to learn'"
"He's right, though," Solomon teased "what are they teaching in school nowadays that you don't know sumerian?"
"It's a dead language!"
"Latin is also a dead language, but you do study it in school"
"Okay, yeah, I'm not doing this"
Solomon chuckled and ruffled their hair.
"You know I'm just teasing"
They rolled their eyes and smiled.
"So, can I take it to Satan then?"
"Of course" he smiled "I'm sure he'll like the gesture"
MC sighed. "I really hope so"
..................................................................
"So do you want me to teach you sumerian?"
"I do need you to help me read the book once Satan finishes it"
"So you do want me to teach you sumerian"
"Okay, fine! Whatever!"
..................................................................
This had me searching for the world's oldest languages and yeah sumerian is one of them, if you didn't know
This is me trying to make a sense of the canon timeline even though it is a complete mess but anyway yeah Solomon managed to own a book written in sumerian. Don't think too much about it
I'd really appreciate feedback and just comments so if you have anything to say just do so thank you :))

Anhedonia Chapter 2
CW: None
Chpt 1 Prt 2<- Masterlist -> Chpt 3
Regretful Obligations & Petty Spites
Barbatos would never find him here. Lucifer’s expression as the waitress’s short and full skirt bounced as she roller skated away only further proved the validity of his theory. And every time her eyes peered back over her shoulder at the two of them, Lucifer’s countenance grew even more thunderous behind the stoic, stern expression.
Diavolo’s smile grew. It was just a smidgen of a fraction, but Lucifer noticed—he always noticed—and it only made his smile grow even more.
“Lord Diavolo, this is… an interesting choice of meeting location.”
“Of course! I had heard this little cafe had opened up and it was based on some human restaurant idea! It’s so unique, in a funny-kind of way. Humans come up with the most interesting things!”
The most minute narrowing of eyes, red and brilliant like blood against pure, untainted snow, was enough to tell him exactly how much Lucifer believed him.
“And the choice of location, of course, has nothing to do with Barbatos.”
“Of course not! So! I’m interested in how our exchange students are doing.”
The sigh Lucifer wanted to exhale remained locked behind tight lips.
“Solomon is performing as expected; his work is meticulous and thorough. More importantly, he has not made any attempts at making more pacts, though I anticipate that streak of behavior will not last long… Considering his frequent presence in the Devildom, there had been no issues concerning socialization. Simeon seems to be adjusting fairly well and is helping guide Luke. There have been three reported instances of demons targeting Luke, but I have ensured that would not be a recurrence. Studies are doing well across the board.”
Lucifer did not look up from his papers, flipping between different pages as he read.
Lucifer wasn’t one to hide his thoughts or skirt around a topic of conversation, so the fact that he was tickled Diavolo with delight.
The waitress skid to a halt before them, a tray of food balanced expertly. Diavolo smiled and thanked her for the food, and the prince could only hide the chuckle as the waitress leaned over—a bit more so than she realistically needed to—to set Lucifer’s food up, the display much more…bountiful than what Diavolo received. Yet Lucifer’s eyes didn’t even waiver from his work.
The woman was quite obviously put out, but she forced a smile, “I hope you both enjoy your meal. I’ll swing by in a bit and see how you’re coming along–”
“That’s not necessary. I will let you know when we need you,” Lucifer said with a dismissive wave of his hand.
Embarrassment colored her cheeks and she didn’t say a word as she rolled away.
Diavolo’s brow quirked, his teeth peeking out between the curl of amusement that was his lips, “Lucifer, I think you hurt the poor girl’s feelings~”
He snorted, flipping yet another page, “Yes, I assure you that was the point. It is best to squash any thoughts they might be having. It saves me a much greater headache in the future.” At last carmine eyes looked up, absent of any of the enjoyment his counterpart was displaying.
“Hmm, yes well…” Diavolo leaned forward, the beaming smile leaving Lucifer to roll his eyes, “Interesting that you’re avoiding talking about the most fascinating… component of my program. I heard a rather fun rumor that Mammon has entered into a pact! His first one at that!— By the unholy legions of hell, this burger is delicious!” Diavolo moaned in the most lascivious manner possible.
Lucifer’s incensed hiss warmed Diavolo’s heart, whether due to his comment or to his behavior, it didn’t matter.
“As in Mammon-typical fashion, he was conned into the pact. However, there is nothing to be concerned about; I am taking measures to correct the mistake.”
Diavolo raised an eyebrow, tilting his head in an invitation for more detail.
“I will have a civil discussion with the human and command her to dissolve the pact. I believe she fears me enough that she will not put up any resistance.”
Diavolo frowned, looking over the unusually animated countenance of his best friend, “Lucifer… I know you wish to protect your brother, but don’t be so hasty.” The Morning Star’s narrowing eyes did not escape Diavolo’s notice, “This is a good thing. It’s unfortunate that it was Mammon, but this is an opportunity to possibly strengthen the ties between Humans and Demons. Let things lie as they are and we’ll see how this plays out. On another matter, were you able to discern how a human, unknowing of our worlds, wound up as your chosen candidate?” That concerned Diavolo far more than any pacts this human could possibly make.
“I have thoroughly investigated every possibility and I have deduced 2 likelihoods: either Ms. Rhen comes from a bloodline of witches that has since died out or at the least forgotten their origins, or the original list of candidates was flawed in its selection.”
The babble of restaurant goers, the knives and forks clattering against ceramic were nothing compared to the tension that sprung into existence, the ease which the prince enjoyed flaunting dissolving into something humorless.
And then it was gone. As if the bubble of rigid stress hadn’t existed in the first place, Diavolo’s smile in place in the span of a blink.
“Well, it was Barbatos who actually made up the initial list of adequate candidates after a number of suggestions from Solomon… Are you suggesting Barbatos made a mistake?” Even just teasing the idea was too much of a crude joke.
“No. However, it would not be wholly surprising if the sorcerer had a hand in some way to manipulate the situation to his preferences,” Lucifer stated.
“Hmm, well I will share what you found with Barbatos and I will have him look into it further. For now though, you absolutely need to try your food! That way you can decide whether Beelzebub should come here or not!”
Lucifer sighed, Diavolo’s expression brimming with excitement as he took another bite.
It was unnerving that something so unexpected occurred at the culmination of all his hard work, at the commencement of his still delicate dream…
But if Diavolo was honest, he was excited to see what was to come.
Why, oh why, had she agreed to go out on a Friday night?
The print of textbooks and hand-written lines of notes blurred into incomprehensible nonsense, having read the same line for… the sixth time? Rhen huffed a stream of air, pulling her head up, a page sticking to her forehead, before she let it thump back against the desk-supported literature.
Melancholy, and its ever-present weight, filled the space beneath her sternum, settling just a bit lower into her abdomen.
Rhen sat up fully this time, her head fully tilted as she stretched and twisted her achy spine. The pads of her fingers pressed and smoothed against her eyelids before, slumping forward once again, she just let her face fall into her hands, elbows braced on her knees.
She should just text Solomon and tell him she couldn’t make it. Working on her homework was a futile task but getting up and walking any further than the fluff of her bed was monumentally impossible.
It was pointless to question why she was so tired. Hell, tired had pretty much become her default since long before she had come to the Devildom, but this was more. This was the exhaustion that ate away at her, bit by bit unraveling her seams, the void that had started so small, just a tiny break in the thread, growing larger and larger, bit by bit. Even reading, learning about all of these fantastical things, things she had fantasized about, things she loved, could only be a momentary fix. Rhen wanted to study, to write all of the fascinating little things she learned in her notebook, but that tear made it impossible to focus, impossible to find the energy.
She wanted to do so many things!
She wanted to sleep.
Rhen’s shoulders tensed, growing taught as her head shot up.
Had she taken her meds?
Her eyes swiveled from one nothing to another, organizing through the moments of her day.
Fuck!
Welp, that explained it.
Man, she really needed to actually organize her pills into her organizer. The constant night of the Devildom did enough to fuck with her sense of time.
The upbeat humming emanating from her bed petered out, “Hey, are ya done? Ye’re gonna make me late for my gig! I really don’t understand how ya can be sooo interested in all that homework.”
Rhen moved her shoulders in the most noncommittal shrug, face down and arms laid out across the desk, “Well, considering I am getting the chance to study magic and its history that isn’t rewritten by dumbass human bias, I’d say it’s actually really fun and interesting to learn about. But my brain is fried, so I’m done studying. I think I’m just gonna mindlessly binge Deviltube videos so–”
“What?!” Mammon jolted up,
“What, what?”
“Y’re tellin’ me that, after all that planning we did, y’er just gonna flake on me?! Nu uh! Absolutely not!”
“Tch, why do you care if I go meet up with Purgatory dorm peeps?”
Mammon huffed, arms crossed, “Yuh know that Lucifer is waitin’ in ambush for me! If I’m not leavin’ under the guise of babysittin’ yuh, then Lucifer will string me up! Y’er my ticket outta here and I ain’t gonna let cha ruin my modeling gig! So get yer butt up!”
Rhen watched, blinking as Mammon bore an incendiary gaze into her soul. Honestly, it was like watching a pissed off bird fluffing up his feathers to try and appear intimidating. Even his scowl—was it supposed to be a snarl??—looked more like pouty, puffed up cheeks.
She gave another slow blink before—rather dramatically—huffing a big, long sigh.
Did she want to go and socialize? Fuck no.
Did the little iggling picking at her feelings make her feel guilty for being a nuisance? Unfortunately.
“Alright, fine. Remind me of what the plan was again.”
“Hey! Seriously?! Why do we have to do it again?!”
“Because, Mammon, I may be new here, but I can already tell that if Lucifer smells even a hint of fuckery, he’ll be on our asses. Or should I say your ass because I’m just the clueless human who was only doing what her babysitter was telling her,” Rhen said, her words coated by a faux sweet hum, eyes and lips turning down to emphasize the peak picture of innocence she could exude.
Mammon growled and huffed, his eyes glaring and full of irate retribution as he used his elbows to partially push himself up from his sprawled position on Rhen's bed, “What happened to the nice, agreeable human, huh?”
From her desk, Rhen spun in her spinny chair, leaving the sprawled notes of her homework unfinished for future-Rhen to grouse over, “Congrats, Mammon, you’ve been promoted to Friendship Level 3. Perks include: me not pretending to like you anymore, 40 % more honesty, and 50% more savage responses.”
“HUH?! What kind of perks are those?!”
Rhen grinned, unabashed, so very contradictory to the shrug she gave him, “You’re the one who insisted on making the pact, Kazooie.”
“Tch, not even 3 days and lookit ya!” Mammon’s lip jutted out with a scowl, “And what the hell kinda name is that?”
Rhen snickered, amused at her own joke—he really did give off ‘bird’ energy—but quirked a brow as Mammon gave a snort of air and rolled off the mattress in a single smooth motion, sauntering and standing with his hip cocked to the side, “Since yer so stubborn… We’re gonna leave the House together and if Lucifer asks, I’m showin’ ya around town since ye’re buggin’ me so much. Once we get tuh town, y’re gonna stay with Simeon and the Chihuahua until I get back. There, ya happy?”
“Peachy keen!”
“Then quit dawdlin’! How long is it gonna take for ya to get changed outta yer jammies?”
The degree of her quirked eyebrow increased, her chin tilting up, “First off: ‘jammies’??? Secondly, I am ready. So let’s go.”
Mammon blinked, slow and despondent, “Wow. I’m not as much of a fashion snob as Asmo, but even I’m a bit horrified at your outfit.”
Rhen walked past him, turning around outside her door, the number of fucks she gave so obvious through her dead-ass stare, “Ouch. My feelings. They’re so hurt. Are we going?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m coming.”
The city lights were comforting beyond anything Rhen could describe. The soft ASMR chatter of city life, the ambiance of night held back by the soft lights that lined along the streets. Excitement lit across her body, stealing breath from her chest as a smile lit the human’s face with genuine excitement.
Mammon had abandoned her the moment his foot stepped on the first brick on the cobblestone city block, but she decided to take her time and stroll the streets before heading to meet Solomon. It wasn’t like she was going to get the opportunity to actually enjoy being alone ever again: either it was depression-isolation in her room or Mammon was tacked to her back.
The swell of Depression creeped its sickly long fingers over the edge of the Box of Bullshit she worked to keep it in.
Nope. Not today, Satan.
Rhene snorted. Oh how ironic that saying was now.
Walking down the street, she peeked at the shops and vendors that littered the way, restaurants and little clothing shops… She could almost mistake it for the human world if the store names weren’t so obviously… well, demonic in nature. Café Lament? AkuDonalds? Madam Scream’s?
As interesting as everything was, she couldn’t help but keep glancing at the wandering pedestrians, them watching her just as unwaveringly.
Actually…
Huh. Since having come to the Devildom, everyone was so human-looking. Was that how everyone really looked?
Fuck, now she was really curious! Maybe she could bribe Mammon into showing her! Was that rude technically? Either way, he’d probs go for it since, ya know, the whole Avatar-of-Greed-thing. But it made sense that demons didn’t look like humans, so what then? They were cloaking themselves in magic? We were in hell, Devildom, so it wasn’t some Superunnatural show depiction where demons and angels possessed human vessels: they wouldn’t need to do that here.
Was it because of the exchange program? Protect the innocent human from the mind breaking horrors’ visage? Then what about the angels? Were they human-like or were they the wheels of fire, multitudes of eyes, and a kabajillion wings?
There was so much she didn’t know…
All of human mythology… What was truth and what was fiction?
It burned; her ignorance, it burned her. Especially when Solomon treated her like a child. When Lucifer’s contempt shone so clearly in his eyes, as if she were an idiot who couldn’t do the simplest of things.
Why had she agreed to get together with Solomon?
Rhen stopped, rubbing at the spot where her brow and nose bridge met. But soft orange light colored the world around her, drawing her eye, Café Lament’s sign a warmth and comfort from the cool blue din of the ever present moon, like nestling in front of the fireplace in the middle of a winter night, no light but the glow crackling before you.
She sighed, craning her neck and cracking the vertebrae.
Right, because she wanted to meet the angels.
Because hiding away would keep her from learning; from exploring this world that had accidentally been opened to her.
She would be an idiot if she didn’t take the one chance she was given.
Besides, there was a part of her that really wanted to make Lucifer eat his shitty opinion of her naivety.
A sharp pain blossomed over the back of her neck and Rhen startled, her hand swinging up to whatever it was. Pulling her hand back, a bit of red stained her hand and she could feel something trickling down along her skin.
She was bleeding?
A snicker immediately pulled her eyes to the two figures strolling lackadaisically away from her. The sharp grin of too sharp teeth, the burning of eyes lit in the dark. Then they were gone, around the curving corner of the road.
Right. There was that too.
Adrenaline now in her system, the silent threat acknowledged, Rhen hurried into the shop, glancing over her shoulder, paranoia telling her she was still a little rabbit in the sights of a predator. She couldn’t even look at the menu too long, ordering whatever jumble of words that first caught her eye. She waited for her order, focusing on calming her adrenaline induced heartbeat.
Actually, maybe it wasn’t too late to just turn around and go back to the House of Lamentation.
“Rhen,” Solomon called.
Fuck, there was no turning back now.
My mood went right down the shitter as Solomon’s simple smile peaked above the booth walls. But she smiled and held her hand up in a casual wave.
Well, she was here now. This could be fun! Right?
Asmodeus couldn’t have been happier when he caught Mammon and the little human making their way out of the house. It was compulsive, wanting to follow them and it was honestly so~ easy. It was just a shame that he didn’t have the time to go and change into a cute stealth outfit. Either way, Mammon was oblivious as always and no human would notice him unless he wanted them too. It wasn’t too much later that Mammon abandoned the human and she wandered around. It shouldn’t have been a surprise considering how scummy and unreliable Mammon was, but what was she doing? Did she… Was she not worried? Even as she looked into shop windows and just strolled about, every demon’s eyes were on her at one point or another.
How arrogant.
She tricks one demon into a pact and she thinks she’s untouchable… Ha!
It was starting to get boring and Asmodeus almost just gave up and left. He had hoped to catch her and Mammon doing something… well, scandalous! Aside from his brother abandoning his duty (which of course he was going to tell Lucifer about) this turned out to be a lot more boring than he anticipated. Hmm, there was a sale over at Majolish that he could definitely take advantage of and he’d been wanting to browse some new eye-shadow color… Asmo was ready to turn and leave, turning away from the human standing outside of Café Lament, not moving on but not going in, but the human she finally entered and it was through the windows did Asmo see an oh-so familiar head of white hair beckon to her.
Oh!
Were she and Solomon… on a date?!?
It was simple: the hum of words over his compact mirror and through the lens of the mirror he could make out bits of the restaurant reflected from the glass window. It took some positioning before Solomon came into view, along with Simeon and the little Chihuahua. Asmodeus pursed his lips, disappointed in the lack of gossip.
He watched introductions, but the human had his full attention as he caught her expression and she talked with Simeon, and the little thoughts gnawing at the back of his mind grew bigger and consumed more of his heart: this little human… Who did she think she was?! It was tricky looking through the small lens of the mirror, but it was so obvious!
She liked Simeon.
Her relaxed posture, the easy smile that hadn’t dropped since she’d seen him, but it was her eyes, they were… He couldn’t describe it, but her eyes were the same eyes his fans and followers batted at him. She was smitten and it enraged him.
How did this little, disgusting human immediately fall smitten with Simeon, but didn’t even hesitate to ignore him! HIM! The most beautiful being in all the realms, the Avatar of Lust: adored and desired by all!
It was abominable!
He was not going to let this insult stand!
Canceling the spell, he ensured his hair and lip gloss were on point before snapping shut the mirror and waltzing straight in.
He played it perfectly: stroll in, chat with the cashier about what he should order, flirt with him as he makes the drink, blow a kiss, spin around and—
“Oh! Solomon, Rheny, what a surprise! And Simeon and the precious Chihuahua~ How cute, all of the exchange students getting together!”
“Ah, hello Asmodeus.”
“Excuse me, I AM NOT A CHIHUAHUA!
“Out shopping?”
He’s careful not to pay too much attention to the human, leaning in and giving Solomon a kiss on his cheek, “Of course! I was going to head to The Fall tomorrow and nothing I have will work! Oh! Solomon, you should totally come with me! We always have so much fun~ And you could show Simeon around as well!”
Solomon smiles and turns to Rhen, “What do you think? It’d be fun to give you the experience of the Devildon’s nightlife.”
Rhen ignored Asmo, eyes focused on the sorcerer as she smiled, something soft and kind that worked to hide the discomfort that crawled through her body. “Oh, that’s okay. That’s kind of you, but I’m not really a big club person.”
“Oh? You don’t want to try something new? You are in a completely new and different realm after all; don’t you want to be adventurous?”
Asmo watched as the girl sat back, her cheeks pink with laughter as the sweatshirt sleeve that overtook her hands came up and covered her mouth, “Well, when you put it that way… But seriously, I should stay home and do some studying.”
Solomon’s eyes shined with mischief, “Hmm, are you going to stay at the House of Lamentation and practice your Curses on Mammon?”
It was subtle, the sharp edge that coated her sweet smile, “Hahaha, that’s so funny, Solomon~ If only I’d be that lucky, to suddenly be able to do magic. Since you’re such a great sorcerer, why don’t you let me practice some hexes on you?”
Solomon laughed, brushing off the comment.
Asmo blinked. She… couldn’t use magic? That was news to him. Interesting…
“Don’t say that, Rhen! It’s okay that you’re just a normal human. I swear, I’ll protect you from all of these demons. I’ll stick by your side no matter what!” Luke declared, his glare leveled heavily at the demon hanging off of the sorcerer.
“Aww, that’s so sweet~” Asmo cooed, reaching over and pinching Luke’s cheek. The little angel hissed and squabbled, trying to push away the demon.
Rhen smiled, eyes closing as she took a drink from her straw, “Thanks, Luke. You’re really sweet.”
Simeon laughed, a comforting hand resting on the young angel, before he looked up to Asmo, “I appreciate the invitation, Asmodeus; however, Luke and I have plans tomorrow.”
The demon pursed pink lips, “Aw~ That’s a shame. Well, I should be off! Call me later, ‘kay, Solomon? Bye Simeon, bye Chihuahua.”
And off he was, the swoosh of the door announcing his exit.
Asmo hummed, his steps light and whimsical.
Was the human burning with rage? Embarrassment? Was she absolutely envious because he didn’t invite her? The thought of her upset and complaining to Solomon, begging him to bring her tomorrow, warmed his dark, cute little soul.
Oh, he couldn’t wait for breakfast tomorrow…
Lucifer wanted to do nothing more than toss the multiple, diligently organized piles of paper into the warm and enticing fire. Instead his gaze lingered over to where the dwindling reserve of Demonus was tucked away into the back corner of his desk drawer.
He really shouldn’t. It was late and having a drink would do nothing to help speed up his work.
Yet his hand already had the drawer open and his fingers slipping around the neck of the bottle.
No, one drink wouldn’t do any harm; he wasn’t some infant demon who couldn’t hold their liquor. In fact, a drink would be just enough to help him relax and then he would finish his work before sleeping.
Too many things were nagging at his attention and testing his patience, and his brothers adding to his work load only further tested him.
Leviathan had continued to be in a foul mood since the human had made her pact: snapping at the others (even towards him, though Levi was quick to squeak out an apology), his hold on his human form easily dispelled at the smallest inconvenience… It had boiled over when Mammon and him had been squabbling over whichever petty thing and, by all outside appearances, the human politely asked him to not insult Mammon. Leviathan had overreacted by any reasonable means, but since then he had insistently secluded himself to his chambers, the only sign of life being the fact that he continued to turn in assignments for his online classes.
Beelzebub was continuing to pout about his restricted schedule. Since their houseguest’s arrival, Lucifer had made it clear that he was forbidden from leaving his room for his midnight snacks. Lucifer loved his brother, but Beel’s ability to maintain control over his sin was dubious and Lucifer could not entertain any risk. If the right set of circumstances occurred and Beelzebub went on one of his hunger rampages, the human would be too close for Lucifer to intercede and ensure the human’s safety. So that meant Beelzebub had to endure some limitations. Truthfully he was being a bit overdramatic. A year was nothing.
Then there was Asmodeus. His late night parade of lovers through the house had increased in frequency and Lucifer had to scold him after Mammon had caught one of them freely wandering the house, no doubt looking for something of value that they felt they were, quite mistakenly, entitled to. It wasn’t until he witnessed Asmodeus at breakfast, playing things up to an exaggerated degree, eyes darting to the human, did he realize she was somehow tied into the fifth born’s exaggerated behavior.
Satan, at least, has surprised him. He had expected Satan to take the opportunity to learn more about the human world from the girl, question and investigate in that way he loved so much. At the very least he had expected Satan to interact with the girl because he knew it would irritate the eldest.
Then again, perhaps that was what Satan wanted him to think as he was plotting his next scheme in the shadows, waiting for his opportune moment to strike…
Lucifer sighed, tension and unease keeping Lucifer’s shoulders taught.
Every disturbance in his life by some means or another led right back to their houseguest.
Yet, for all the exasperating minutiae of his brothers, Mammon had not been among the malefactors. In fact, his attention had been entirely enrapt around the polite human with the fake smile. Part of him worried: was she mistreating Mammon now that she had a means of control over him? Yet Mammon’s streak of good behavior had taken some stress from Lucifer’s shoulders.
So all he could do was keep an eye out. He had no choice but to acquiesce to Lord Diavolo’s request.
But that did not mean he would not remain on guard. The human woman was… She was quiet and kind, but it was as if her countenance was just a layer overtop of her true intentions, just slightly off center.
By all intents and purposes she appeared to have a rather… strange soul. Most human souls emitted energy on a smaller range on the frequency scale, leading souls to lean towards a particular color of emission. Of course it was not always uniform, there were numerous factors that could influence the color, or saturation, or luminosity of a soul after all: health, emotion, the nature and tendencies of the being were amongst the largest influences. Yet, in all his years of existence he had never seen a soul shine a dull gray, like the refraction of light through water, but… lackluster and muddied.
He did not enjoy feeling as if he was missing something important, something obvious. It set him on edge. She set him on edge.
Taking a sip, Lucifer ran his fingers through his graying hair.
Lucifer wasn’t an optimist, but was it too much to hope Mammon and Rhen would keep each other busy and out of trouble?

It was... strange to have you here.
Here, in his home.
Lucifer letting you stay here, in the devildom, even if only for a three day trip was. Well. Simeon couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips. He really had let a lamb into a den of wolves.
But there wasn't anything to worry for. You were his lamb. Curled up, asleep, in his lap, within his garden, as he got to lovingly toy with a lock of your hair.
Luke was long asleep in his room, and as was your fellow human exchange student. It was annoying that Solomon had followed you here, but it was no matter. There was no one to cry or complain as he bent to kiss the strands he held, the sound of the kiss quiet under the devildom’s perpetual night sky.

Honey, I Shrunk The Devildom! (Part 3)
Obey Me! Datables (minus Luke x MC!)
Featuring: Simeon, Solomon, Diavolo, and Barbatos
~Another magic troupe lol, here’s how I think the Obey Me men would respond to being magically shrunk down.
Part: 1, 2
Warnings: None
(I want to do this series with BNHA guys too! let me know what you think.)
Simeon~
There is a certain mushroom that is native to the Devildom that most demons know to steer clear of. It’s not poisonous or anything like that. In fact, it’s actually quite lovely when prepared properly. But if one were to accidentally step on one as it's maturing, it releases a magical cloud of pollen with peculiar properties.
Our Sweet Angel was walking through the gardens of Purgatory hall and accidentally trod across the tiny purple mushroom. It releases a soft pink cloud of pollen that shrunk the angel to the size of a popsicle stick. As he looks up at the towering world around him, he realizes that he has fallen victims to the plant's natural protection from predators. With a sigh, he waits by his fallen bookbag until someone is able to assist him.
When he sees you are the one to come to his aid he feels an overwhelming sense of relief. A soft blush coats his cheeks as you carefully lift him up to your ear so that he may speak properly.
"Mc I believe I may have ignored our lesson in Devildom Botany the other day," he says "Would you mind staying with me until this little spell wears off?"
When you agree he gets comfortable on your shoulder admiring the interesting view that his new height is giving him, he enjoys looking down at your homework assignments and guiding you to the correct answers when you are having trouble.
"It's not every day a human ends up with an actual angel on their shoulder." he laughs scanning the next problem. “This may be a good experience for both of us.”
Barbatos~
The Palace has no shortage of hidden traps and magical surprises around every corner. Barbatos has become quite adept at uncovering some of the more dated additions but every once in a while he stumbles across a particularly well-hidden one. This trap was underneath a carpet that he removed for cleaning. The engraved runes glow a menacing green color and shrink the butler down to a miniature size.
He looks around the much larger room and is surprised at all the little messes and uncleaned corners that his new size has revealed to him. Insecurity plagues the demon as he wonders what else he has missed over the years as he hangs his head in shame.
You end up being the one to find him in this moment of sadness and tell him that you can help him with whatever he needs you to do.
Gratefully he accepts your offer to help and has you fetch some special tools for the job. The cleaning supplies is enchanted to magically adjust to the desired size of it's user. When he touches it it shrinks down to a size smaller than him so he can deep clean those hard-to-reach corners.
Once he gets going you are amazed to see how fast he moves despite his size.
"When he finishes with one shelf he looks up at you happily. "Excuse me MC, would you mind carrying me up to the next level? I can't quite reach it."
You of course help him out as he thanks you repeatedly promising to take you out for a very nice meal when he is fully grown again.
Diavolo~
The Prince is one of the only creatures in all three realms who has access to the Crown jewels of the Devildom. These trinkets and gems contain mysterious powers That has been preserved by generations before.
Some items may just be well-crafted and completely harmless, but it’s almost a sort of gamble for him as he looks through the trove of treasures trying to find a gift for you to wear.
Although he thinks you would look absolutely endearing in any of the items on display, he knows that the wage of some of the gems may be too much for you.
He ops instead for a smaller necklace that sparkles with the light of a dying star., But as he reaches out to touch it he ends up brushing a ruby red pendant next to it.
He shrinks in stature tremendously and for the first time in his life, the prince of the Devildom feels small...
Although he initially wondered how he would manage to get through his evening with you when he is only a few inches in height, he began warming up to the idea of having someone else be the center of attention for a change.
With this, he brings you into his little scheme to make the most of this less-than-ideal situation. It sounds dramatic and all too entertaining so you of course accept his request to conceal his presence.
With the Little Prince hiding on your shoulder, Diavolo was able to navigate the party in secret listening in on anything that his officials are speaking of when they believe him not to be in the room.
What he hears shocks him as he overhears tales of corruption among some of his most trusted officials.
Halfway through the party he reverts back to his original size and declares that there are to be some major changes happening in his Kingdom.
Solomon~
The sorcerer knows that there are so many demons in the Devildom that would want nothing more than to sink their teeth into him. He is unliked by many and untrusted by more than that.
His experiences have made him very knowledgeable about what he can do to avoid certain situations that would leave him vulnerable. Being an immortal human has led him to believe that he must deal with any kind of hardship by himself, only involving others if it involves bartering or deception.
So when he accidentally misread a spell and caused both his power and his size to deplete, he felt what he hasn’t felt in a long time, vulnerability.
His breathing comes out in ragged gasps as he hears slithering on the other side of the walls. He could try to wait it out, but as of right now he’s fair game to whatever picks up his scent first. but then a rave of hope shine through the dark and hallways of RAD.
It’s you. The turbulence of emotions coursing through his tiny body cause his knees to buckle as you rush over to his aid, placing him gently in the safety of you palms.
He’s quiet as you take care of him only speaking to give you direction or advice on what to do next to change him back to normal.
He may not have a set plan, but for the first time in a very long time Solomon feels comforted in knowing that someone else is looking after him.
Someone else cares what happens to him…
