Disgusting Draco and Ron Antis
I love Draco and Ron. It's a shame that fans of one bash the other, especially in the Dramione vs Romione shipping war (a war that should not be happening because Hermione is not worthy of a shipping war)
Anyway. I know it's meant to be a joke but I find it so distasteful when Draco/Ron antis mock the size of the character's penis to insult their manhood. Like penis size is a measure of a male character's worth. Even grosser since the boys are freaking teens for most of the books!
Swear this has to be a form of misandry or something. It's just so annoying to see. Romione stans who hate Draco and Dramione stans who hate Ron are so freaking childish and need to grow the hell up. You can ship B-rate love interest Hermione with whichever boy you want without all this vile bashing. The characters are not real. Just ship what you want in peace. Or better yet, ship them with someone other than Hermione :)

Hi im looking for fic recs where Draco and Hermione get together in their 30's-40's after becoming single again (after getting divorced or widowed). Specifically the ones where Scorpius, Rose and Hugo exist (they dont have to be important or overly present characters I'm just looking for blended family vibes, not AUs where they dont exist).
I would love if they also had Hermione getting pregnant again with Draco but if you cant think of any, I will take fics without this specific plot too 😅
Time Is Too Short - NeheMikkele - M, 41 chapters - After her divorce with Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger is now Minister for Magic and living alone. She’s almost 41 with both work and her children taking up all the space in her life. Draco Malfoy is a lonely widower, struggling with what life has thrown his way. Ginny Potter sees an opportunity to help two people who deserve better.
Confessionsby SaintDionysus - M, 31 Chapters - The story begins with a celebration where a few drinks give friends the courage to confess their long harbored feelings for each other. Visions of the past spanning almost forty years reveal how many events lead to this moment. Mature Dramione. Themes: post-canon, flashbacks, Minister!Granger, Widower!Draco, Divorce, Next Gen Adults, Politics, hurt/comfort, romcom, mild smut
Heart of the Phoenix By: I M Sterling - M, 13 chapters - Years after Hogwarts, a widowed Hermione Granger Weasley is surprised to see Draco Malfoy walk into her office. What in the name of Merlin could a St. Mungo’s Medical Curse Breaker need from her? Rated M for later chapters.
Finding Hermione by ebookdragon - M, 51 chapters - Fifteen years after the end of the Second Wizarding War, former Hogwarts’ students are sending their own children off to school for the first time. As the train leaves, Hermione makes a startling discovery about her husband and the secret life he’s been living. Draco witnesses Hermione’s world shatter and comes to her rescue, helping her pick up the pieces and find herself again.
Ignite by Hesaluti - K+, 38 chapters - An opportunity arises that Hermione can’t afford to miss, it means exposing herself to painful memories and involving herself in the life of someone she’d thought she wouldn’t have to ever meet again - Draco Malfoy. Add in a few fire breathing dragons and some unexpected sinister events that they have no choice but to work together to solve and things are about to get interesting.
Meadows and Memories - NMD_Writes - T, 13 chapters - Hermione Granger, now mother of two and working for the Ministry of Magic, begins to reflect on her marriage to Ron Weasley. During a particularly difficult investigation involving House Elf Trafficking, she encounters a divorced Draco Malfoy, who only further challenges her current situation.Forgiveness and memories. Pensieve dives and hard questions. Self-reflection and growth. Second chances and reconnection. Curses and gardens. Has he always loved her this much?
Sound & Vision - Sally_can_wait - E, 15 chapters - Ronald Weasley is dead. Astoria Greengrass is dead. Draco and Hermione will do a journey through grief, with the help of music and films. I targeted in crafting a story full of laughter and tears, but still with a deeper meaning. I hope you enjoy it.

By the end of the first month of summer, Romina was happier than ever. She had continued visiting her grandparents, getting to know them and everyone else and even staying with them for a whole week! The relationship between her "new' family and her aunt and uncle was alright for the time being — she was truly just working on her relationships. She thought she deserved it and that the problems between the adults was something either they would figure out on their own or simply a bridge for her to cross later.
She found herself doing a lot more than she ever had for any summer. When she wasn't with her family, she was taking violin lessons again. Arden had managed to convince their teacher to allow Romina to continue taking classes with her. They even managed to claw their way into one little dance class here and there.
It was hard deciding when she should tell her friends about her new discovery. She was actually surprised that Draco hadn't yet said anything. She knew the moment that the truth was out, she would for sure have Daphne asking her a million questions about it.
The first people she told were Arden and Harry, obviously. They were neighbors and before magic and Hogwarts, it had always been them. So, on one fine hot day they went to their favorite place to hang out (the ice cream parlor) and she told them everything.
"Woah, talk about family secrets..." Arden leaned back in her chair, eyes slightly wide with surprise. Beside her, Harry was silently taking it in as well.
Romina sat across from them at the table, no longer interested in her dessert. She was anxious to hear their reactions. "I was going to tell you, honest," she said when a few minutes had passed by and neither one had said anything. "I just didn't know how to do it."
"It's fine, Rom," Harry said with a light shrug of his shoulders. "I mean, it's nice that you found more family."
"Oh yeah, it is!" Arden agreed with him. "It's just really shocking. Definitely didn't expect Rolf to be your cousin. A couple of us honestly thought he might have a crush on your or something."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I've heard. It's ridiculous that a boy can't be nice to a girl solely for friendship, you know."
"It's so cool, though," Arden said quickly, not wanting to get stuck on that topic. It wasn't even her who thought about it in the first place. "Your grandmother's a designer and your grandfather's a magizoologist and they're both war heroes. It's so cool!"
"I honestly don't even care about that stuff. It's just nice to have grandparents," Romina said, her cheeks flushed. It was still so surreal getting to call them 'grandma' and 'grandpa'. "I have aunts and uncles and a cousin. Oh, and we're going to have another cousin soon! It's so nice!"
"If you're happy, we're happy," Harry told her. "And since you're in a way better mood these days, have you thought about Ron's invitation?"
"Ron's invitation?" Arden made a face. "To what?"
"The World Cup," said Harry eagerly. "Ron says it's the biggest event for Quidditch and he's got some extra tickets. You're both invited!"
"Oh, that," Arden remembered it well and shook her head. "Yeah, no thanks. But I'll bet happy feet over there would love to go."
Romina waved her off with a hand. "I'm not the biggest quidditch fan but if Hermione's going then sure. She'll need some girl allies. I'm sure my aunt and uncle will let me. They're kind of teetering right now on how to raise me. It's so funny."
"What?" Harry looked at her oddly. Romina chuckled.
"They're so guilty they're basically letting me do whatever I want right now. If I was evil, I could have so much fun with that. But, alas, I'm keeping my morals."
Arden snorted. "Yeah, and yet you still got them to let you go to Diagon Alley this weekend. They would never let you go on your own."
"Daphne made the invite, I just checked 'yes'. And you're going, right?"
Arden shrugged. "Yeah, it should be good since Pansy won't be coming. Thank God."
Romina agreed there. She didn't feel like dealing with Pansy these days when she was so happy with everything else. "Harry, I'd invite you but, uh..."
Harry was already shaking his head. "And see Malfoy's face? Pass. Plus, I don't even know you're other friends that much. I only like Angel, really, and his sister Carolinha."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Daphne's pretty fine too and you can't really say that Blaise and Theodore have ever done anything to you."
"Which is why I haven't," Harry said sharply. "But I don't want to risk it so I will just see you later for the World Cup. I gotta tell Ron you're coming."
Romina thanked him for that. She had a couple more things to do before the weekend arrived and it started with some letters to her other friends, sharing something important.
~ 0 ~
That weekend, Romina and Arden got ready to see their friends and left to Diagon Alley from Romina's house. Arden almost laughed at the irony between wizarding kids and muggles. Both loved ice cream.
The girls walked into the ice cream parlor and found Daphne, Carolinha, Angel, Draco and even Blaise already there. "Seriously, all you needed was to invite Parkinson," Arden said to Daphne once they had sat at their table.
"Oh no, I wouldn't do that," Daphne said with eyes wide that lingered on Romina."
"You are free to hang out with whoever you want, Daphne," Romina raised her hands in front of her. "Setting the record straight with witnesses around."
Blaise snorted. "Yes, because we are absolutely interested in your tetchy relationship with Parkinson."
Romina turned her head in his direction, eyes narrowing slightly. "I imagine that Daphne didn't force you to come."
"I presume you weren't forced to come either," he retorted.
"Don't argue with her," Angel sighed.
"Paes to the rescue," Draco smirked. If Romina had been sitting next to him, she would've jabbed her elbow on his side. Angel was flustered and remained quiet from then on.
"Settle down boys," Romina said, placing her hands on the table. "Absolutely no one is going to ruin the incredible mood that I have been in."
"Oh, and she has been on it for a straight month," Arden told the group. "So don't touch anything."
"Well, we heard why," Angel said, shooting Romina a small smile. "You've been visiting your new family."
"They're not new, Angel, they've always been there. I just didn't know it." Romina shrugged her shoulders. "But they're great!"
"I would say—your grandmother's the head of bloody Gejel!" Daphne exclaimed. Romina had been waiting for Daphne to go down that road. "I only wear her robes. You know."
"Everybody knows," Draco rolled his eyes with heavy annoyance. This was not his type of conversation and he wouldn't stick around for it. He and Blaise decided to get a headstart and order some ice cream.
"He doesn't change," Arden muttered as the pair walked away from the table. "I see Theodore didn't make it today? Maybe it was for the best."
"He's off with his father in Greece," Angel said.
"Well he's going to miss out on some good ice cream," Romina said giddily.
"I'm a little scared of this happy face, not going to lie," Carolinha remarked, though her lips quirked into what would soon become a crooked smile. "But I'm also liking this Romina a hell of a lot more than the grumpy one."
"Carol," her brother elbowed her.
Romina once again laughed. "Don't worry about it, Angel. I'm totally good! In fact, I'm thinking triple scoop ice cream for me today!" She grabbed Arden in a big hug all of a sudden, ignoring (or most likely just not hearing) Arden's small 'oh!' as she let go. "I'm going to go annoy those two over there while I'm ordering!" Romina decided as she got up from her chair.
Daphne, Carolinha, Angel and Arden watched in awe as Romina practically skipped towards Draco and Blaise at the counter.
"I love her but she's freaking me out," Carolinha said.
"Try living next door to her," Arden said, "She's got the entire block freaked out."
"She's happy, that's all," Angel smiled. Romina had just poked Blaise in the back, something the latter wasn't quite happy with.
"Still, she might go poking the wrong bear," Daphne said because Romina was giggling after prodding Blaise on the side.
"Yeah, Blaise is quiet but he has a temper…" Carolinha said.
"I swear to God…" Blaise had to physically stop, take a step away from the glass counter, and take a deep breath because of Romina.
"She'll be fine," Arden waved it off as Romina left Blaise to pick on Draco next. "She's—oh, nope, now she's dead." For some reason, Romina had decided to slip her arms around Draco from behind. "The Oswells are no more." The girls all snickered at the joke but Angel was more quiet.
"Oswell, what the hell are you doing?" Draco had moved his arms up and would've tried shifting out of Romina's grip had that not included making him look like an outright idiot. "Get off me!"
"Not a hugger?" Romina laughed. She rested her chin just below his shoulder. "Did you get taller?"
Draco growled. "Get off me!" Blaise laughed beside them, an incorrigible mistake. "Make one comment, Zabini, I dare you!"
Blaise had the good sense not to but that didn't mean he stopped laughing. "Better you than me," he said in the end.
"Oh, I got one for you too, Blaise," Romina said with a big, teasing smile.
"Good—go get him then!" Draco exclaimed. "I think I preferred when you were all mopey and moody. Least that one didn't go touching people! OSWELL!"
Romina decided he had enough and pulled her arms away from him. She came to stand beside him and grinned at him. He looked away from her. Wasn't she tired of smiling already?
"You want to buy me some ice cream?" she asked and he immediately snapped 'No!'. This, however, still didn't take away her grin. "Please?" She cocked her head to the side, eyes blinking ever so innocently at him.
Draco released a breath. "Fine." He lied. He still preferred her this way over the moody and mopey version. Plus, maybe her rosey scent wasn't all that bad. He cleared his throat, straightening himself up and fixing the wrinkles that Romina had left on his clothes. If he focused—which he wasn't—he could smell a faint trace of the roses on him. "What are you going to want?" he asked Romina.
"I'm thinking chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate chip!"
"Are you sure that's the amount of sugar you want to take in?" This actually worried him because she practically had her face pressed against the display freezer without the heavy amount of sugar she was preparing to eat.
"Absolutely!"
Draco rolled his eyes. He wasn't going to waste his breath so he just made the orders. "So," he started as they waited, "You've decided to let others know that you've added some impressive surnames to your name."
Romina snorted. That sounded a little more like her. She threw him a look. "I mean they were going to find out anyways. It's not that big of a deal."
Draco wanted to remind her of how "big of a deal" it had been the last time they spoke about the matter, but she seemed so calm right now he didn't want to ruin it. "Well, Greengrass over there hasn't stopped babbling about your grandmother. Everybody knows the Gejels are an elite French pureblood family and the Scamanders have worked in the higher levels of the Ministry. Not to mention they are literal war heroes."
"You seem to know that off the top of your head. I had to read that to find out and then I heard some of it from the sources themselves."
Draco shook his head at her. "Leave it to you, Oswell, to not know the value of your family's legacies."
"Hey—you're the one who told me to forget about my family's legacies!"
"That was about your parents. There's no fixing the Oswell name."
Romina gasped with offence. "Well, thank you for your faith in me."
"You know what I mean!"
"You're essentially saying that I'm never going to shake off the reputation my parents left me which is a huge contradiction of what you've told me in the past."
"Why are you so stuck on what I said 'in the past'?"
"Because it was actually nice and meaningful," Romina folded her arms. "You don't have a lot of those moments."
Draco deadpanned her. "Seriously?"
Romina was very much serious with him. "Yes. So take it back or I will be hugging you again."
Draco took one step away from her, pointing a finger at her immediately. "Do that and you'll regret it."
"Good to know what I can threaten you with—never mind hexes," Romina laughed, putting her hands together. "This is even easier!"
"Go hug Angel or something." Draco fixed his collars and turned towards the display. "God knows he's probably asking himself why he didn't get one."
"Would you drop that?" Romina hissed, scooting herself closer to him so that nobody would hear. "It's not funny anymore."
"It is from where I'm standing. When are you going to let him down already?"
Romina did not hesitate to jab her elbow to his side. "Shush!"
"You can hurt me all you want but you'll eventually have to do it."
"Don't ruin my mood!"
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to do that." Draco smirked. He could see from the corner of his eye that she was glowering. He focused entirely on the ice cream coming their way. He figured it would annoy her more.
In a short minute, they were walking back to their table with their ice cream.
"Woah, Rom, that's a lot of sugar," Arden said, eyes wide at the ice cream in front of Romina.
"I know! Isn't it heavenly?" Romina beamed and happily dug in. "You guys should probably order now."
"Oh, yeah, huh?" Arden got up and left the table for a minute and returned with several spoons for those who hadn't ordered.
Romina gasped and 'awd' when they started eating out of her ice cream. "That's mine!"
"Technically, it's mine," Draco said.
"Shut up!" She snapped and proceeded to shoo the intruding spoons from her dessert. She would end up giving up once they, primarily Daphne, began asking about her family.
Romina had no problem sharing everything she'd done so far with her family. She told them about the various designs she'd helped her grandmother, and aunt for that matter, with. She was excited to talk about the more in depth lessons she was learning with her grandfather about his numerous creatures.
"I'll be getting the highest grades in our Care of Magical Creatures class from now on," she said smugly as she dipped her spoon into what remained of her chocolate ice cream. "Well, maybe right after Rolf. He's a genius with that stuff."
"Are you willing to help us out then?" Arden chuckled. "Because some of the things that Hagrid chooses are kinda scary."
"That's because he's not actually a professor, King," scoffed Draco.
"Uh, a whole year says otherwise," she countered. "And the only reason you don't like it is because of what happened when you messed with the Hippogriff." At the reminder of the unfortunate incident, the group laughed.
Draco grumbled under his breath about his poor choices in deciding to even meet with them in the place.
Later on when they were done with their ice creams, they took to walking around Diagon Alley if only to kill some time. Everyone agreed being stuck at home wasn't exactly the life of the party. There were no significant events coming up in their respective homes.
"There is the World Cup this year," Angel remarked. "Anyone going?"
"Not my thing," Daphne crinkled her nose. "You can tell me all about it later on...or not…"
"I'm probably not either," Blaise admitted. "My mother already made plans to celebrate her newest engagement, so..."
"Congratulations?" Carolinha offered him a small smile.
"Eh…" Blaise waved her off. It wasn't a means of celebration after the eighth time.
"We're thinking about it," Angel said, "It's the first time it'll be held here in over 300 years. What about you two?" He asked Romina and Draco.
"Harry was talking about that and he says Ron's dad has some extra tickets so I might pop in. I'm not all about it either, like Daphne, but I do like the commotion of it."
Draco scoffed. "Don't hold your breath, Oswell. It'd be a miracle if Weasley's dad got tickets and even then, I wouldn't expect anything near the grounds."
Romina rolled her eyes. "Like I said, I'm mainly in it for the buzz of things. I don't recall hearing anything about you getting tickets, though. Not going at all?"
"My father's mentioned the possibility of an important invitation," he remarked much too smugly.
Romina wasn't at all surprised that he droned on about the supposed invitation. She purposely slowed her pace in hopes of giving her ears some rest. In her attempts to distract herself, she noticed the dark entry into another part of the alley. She recognized it straightaway.
Knockturn Alley.
She stared ahead to see if anyone liked around. Yeah, as if they would freely walk about. It didn't have the best of reputations, after all. Kind of like you.
She straightened up. The fact there were more dark objects in that part of the alley shouldn't necessarily mean that it's the "bad" part of town. She was sure that thought wouldn't be received well if anybody heard it, but she thought it was a fair statement. Nothing was bad unless you used it for bad reasons.
"Romina? What are you doing over there?" Angel's sharp call startled Romina out of her thoughts.
She hadn't realized that she'd stopped walking altogether. She was right in the face of Knockturn Alley.
"Romina, you shouldn't be close to there!" Angel was quick to lead the group back to their friend.
"I was just looking," Romina said weakly.
"What for?" Angel frowned. "You don't have any business being close to that area."
"Why not?" Her question stumped Angel.
His eyes widened. "What? What do you mean? That's Knock—"
"I know what it is," Romina gently cut him off. "But why shouldn't we know what's there?"
Angel sputtered out of shock. He looked at the others for some help. Most of them seemed as surprised as he was.
Romina playfully rolled her eyes at them. "You guys aren't understanding me. I'm not saying that we should all suddenly do dark magic with dark objects. Wouldn't it be better if we were aware of what some things were so we know how to best fight against it. How to be careful with them?"
"Isn't that what DADA class is for?" Daphne said, taking one noticeably big step back.
"Yeah, but we know they're never going to teach us about everything that's out there. Maybe we should see what is out there."
"No!" Angel was quick to say. "That's dangerous!"
"Plus, you wouldn't last in that area," Draco remarked. He met Romina's frowning face with a smirk. "What?"
"I would too last there," she said.
"No you wouldn't. It's not for the faint of heart."
"What? Like you?" Romina laughed. "Don't make me laugh. But you know what? Since we're here, why don't you put your money where your mouth is?" If she wasn't so irked with him, his reaction would've made her actually laugh.
"What?" He brought a hand near his mouth. "Wh-why would I ever do that?"
Arden snorted. "It's a muggle saying, dumbass." Draco shot her a glare. "She's calling you out, basically."
"Oh I am," Romina agreed. "How's about a wager?"
Draco's interest was piqued. "Depends," he said in his most casual tone, "What do you want?" Romina's lips lifted into a wide smirk. It was admittedly hard to stay away from whatever deal she was about to offer. "What do you want, Oswell?"
"Hmm," Romina put her hands together, fingers tapping against each other, "Well, you seem to think that I won't be able to handle taking a little trip down Knockturn Alley—"
"Oh," Draco scoffed, "I don't 'think' it, I know you can't."
Romina wanted to smack the smirk off his face. "I can," she insisted. "In fact, I bet that I can last there, say...half an hour?"
"One hour," Draco corrected, "And I'm not saying more just because I actually kinda like you."
"Ooh," Romina put a hand over her chest. "Don't I feel special? I'll take your hour and when I come back, you're going to owe me."
"Rom, maybe we should take it a step back," Arden said, biting on her bottom lip.
Romina looked past Draco to see the equally troubled faces of the group, all except Blaise who seemed more amused than anything else.
"Yeah, that's not a place you want to get caught in by yourself," Carolinha said. Daphne could only squeak in agreement. She was scared most of all.
"Draco, don't make her do that." Angel was practically glaring at the blonde.
Draco, however, snorted. "I'm not making her do anything. She's just stubborn."
"And she is right here, ready to smack you if you act like I'm not here!" Romina huffed. "Are you going to accept or not?"
"Depends, what do I get if you don't make it the entire hour?"
"What do you want?"
Draco thought for a moment, making a show out of it all while ignoring the heavy glare that Angel was sending him. "Well, I could always use a favor," Draco ultimately decided on. "Yeah," he smiled to himself like he'd just done something amazing. "I want one moment in which you have to do something I want or need, no questions asked."
Romina evaluated the idea with a tapping finger against her chin. "Okay, but—" she pointed that same finger at him, "it cannot involve hurting anyone physically nor something that'll get me or someone else into trouble. Got it?"
Draco nodded. "Done. Oh, and there is no expiration date on this. I'm going to hold out on it until I see fit."
"Fine, whatever, but when I win…" Romina's eyes flickered to Arden for some reason, the brunette wearily sighing in return, "You have to spend the same hour in the muggle world."
A round of gasps erupted from their friends.
Draco's face fell in horror. "Absolutely not!"
Blaise finally made a noise and it was just to laugh. "Now it's interesting," he said to the others.
"This is beyond daft," Angel groaned. "Malfoy, just tell her no and we can move on."
"Yeah, tell me no," Romina taunted Draco in front of her.
And admit defeat? Draco literally felt his insides burn at the idea. Romina was challenging him and with a stupid pretty—not pretty, very not pretty—smirk. "You're on, Oswell. Don't worry, I'll come get you when we hear your inevitable screams."
Romina snorted and stepped back from him. "You wish!"
"Romina, this is a really bad idea!" Angel shouted, if only to claim some of the attention before disaster struck.
"It'll be fine, Angel," Romina said, already turning for the small steps leading into the darker alley.
"Sage and Lyonel won't like this," Arden warned her. "Now matter how guilty they are for keeping your family a secret, if they find out about this, they will kill you."
"So we don't tell them!" Romina hopped down the three steps. "I'll be back before you know it!" She spun around, eyes meeting Draco's. He was full of mirth even if he didn't want to admit it. "Better clear your calendar cos you're coming to my neighborhood soon."
"Keep dreaming, Oswell. I'll keep an ear out for your screams," he promptly retorted.
Romina turned away and strode for the infamous alley. There was no way in hell she was going to give him the satisfaction. Arden was right, though, if either of her aunt or uncle found out she was in Knockturn Alley, she was dead.
"I can't believe you just made her do that!" Angel practically exploded after Romina was out of hearing shot. He turned to Draco, absolutely livid with him. "Do you have any idea what's in there?" Angel scoffed and answered before Draco even had the chance. "Of course you do! You're—"
"Watch your tongue, Paes," Draco finally snapped and turned to meet Angel's glare, "I did not make her do anything. Did you see me push her? Walk her down the steps myself? No!"
"I mean, to his credit, this is by far the least amount of effort he's put into anything," Arden remarked and just as Draco was about to gesture at her in gratitude for making the point, he did a double-take at her. He was surprised they'd just agreed on something. Arden shrugged in return.
Angel was not on the same page. "Arden!"
"I'm sorry," Arden said, "But I've known Romina far longer than all of you. She was going in there no matter what. She's very competitive."
"Still, it's dangerous!" Angel exclaimed.
"She'll be fine," Draco waved him off. "She has one trick that, if she's smart enough, she'll use."
"What's the trick?" demanded Angel.
Draco smirked. "Guess you're not smart enough."
Carolinha genuinely thought she would have to go pull her brother away before he lunged on Draco. She really hoped Romina would come out soon.
~ 0 ~
It was shady, that Romina would immediately admit. It was a stark difference from Diagon Alley. She walked with her shoulders straightened, her head held high, like she knew exactly what she was doing. But of course, a fourteen year old girl walking by herself in one of the shadiest parts of the wizarding world was bound to draw some attention.
Ten minutes in and she had already been stopped by a couple wizards asking her what she was up to. Apparently, fourteen year old girls also entered this part of town with the intentions of pulling tricks. If only they knew.
Romina stopped by the only store that she recognized. Borgin and Burkes. Her eyes raked over the display windows. She lost count on the dark objects that were sprawled on not-so-clean pedestals. With no idea why, she pulled the door open and walked inside. The shop was dimly lit and absolutely cluttered. She abruptly stopped when she caught sight of human bones lying under a display. Her eyebrows knitted together. How horrible.
"What are you doing here?" A man's voice made her jump in place. She spun around to come face to face with an older man she would definitely not like to meet anywhere. His eyes bore down on her, demanding to hear her explanations.
Romina swallowed hard. "Umm...just...looking?" Well, that was a terrible excuse.
"Get out!" The man barked.
"No!" Romina snapped. You have got to get ahold of your temper! One day it was sure to get her in trouble...and that might be today.
The man was furious with her. "Now who the hell do you think you are?"
Romina's eyes raked over the shop and all its countless objects. She couldn't imagine any wizards with good intentions coming in here. Wizards without good intentions. Her eyes widened. The idea was set and now she would execute it.
"My name—" she started, loud and clear for a fourteen year old, "—is Romina Oswell, daughter of Elora and Caplan Oswell." She started to relax when the man leaned away from her. Her trick was working. "And who do you think you are talking to me like that?"
"I-I'm...you're an Oswell?" He took a full step back, his hands coming to press down the wrinkles in his robes.
Romina gave an affirmative nod. "Do you know my parents?"
"W-well, of course! Of course I do!" The man turned away from her, missing the big breath of relief that Romina took as soon as he turned. "Your parents were in here all the time."
Of course they were. Romina shook her head. She hated mentioning her parents to anybody but it was about damn time they did something for her that was useful.
"I'm Mr. Borgin," the man introduced himself, though he didn't look back at the girl. He started walking for the counter instead. "What can I do for you, Miss Oswell?"
"I…" That was the question, wasn't it? What did she even want? To waste time. Romina looked around the store again. "Like I said, I was just...perusing around."
Mr. Borgin gave a gruff nod. "Anything in particular catch your eye?"
"Not...yet…" Romina said slowly, She noticed spikey instruments were hanging from the ceiling. Nice, their own version of a chandeliers.
"I must say, it is strange to see an Oswell here all alone, especially you." Mr. Borgin eyed Romina carefully. "I have never seen you here."
"Wasn't old enough to understand," Romina said with a careless shrug of her shoulders. She didn't know whether it was good or bad that Borgin was smiling at her.
"Ah, and now that you do, does anything catch your eye? I'm sure we can put your money to good use."
Romina had the inkling suspicion that the man was aware of the Oswell vault in Gringotts.
"Your family typically indulges in poisons and potions," Mr. Borgin remarked.
"Indulges?" Romina lifted an eyebrow at him. "Present tense. Has...has anyone else from my family been here recently?"
Mr. Borgin's lips pulled into a wide smile, possibly menacingly. "You're living with the only Oswell who didn't join You Know Who, right?" Romina nodded silently. "You wouldn't know, then. I don't know either, of course."
Romina suspected that was not quite true. Her eyes narrowed. "You better not mention that I was in here," she warned. "I did inherit my father's temper and I have a reputation for my inability to control it."
Mr. Borgin laughed. "I have no interest in spiting the youngest Oswell. My only business is to sell, after all. If you have inherited your parents—your family's—gift for the Dark Arts, you know where to find us."
Romina swallowed hard, drawing a step back as if Borgin would come after her. "Yeah, I'll let you know if I find a use for those human bones over there." She turned away fast, though perhaps not fast enough in her opinion, and hurried out.

It had been an hour and a half since Romina had disappeared in Knockturn Alley. The concern and tension were palpable in the air amongst the group who had been doing nothing but waiting. Angel was pacing back and forth, mumbling things about how they had made the biggest mistake of their lives.
"Maybe we should tell someone," Daphne whispered to Arden. The two girls were sitting together on the ground.
"Are you mad?" Arden hissed in the same hushed tone. "We'll be in so much trouble. Romina's aunt and uncle will kill her."
"But it's been more than an hour," Daphne said, not that either of them needed the reminder. "At this point, wouldn't it be better if she just got in trouble with her family instead of getting in trouble in that alley?"
Arden started biting on her bottom lip. That would be the more reasonable option between the two. She glanced at the others. Carolinha was following Angel in his pacing, trying to calm him down and no doubt stop him from telling any of the adults. Angel had already made the threat several times since the time passed. Draco and Blaise were leaning against a wall, mumbling things to each other. Neither of them seemed all that concerned. Arden wondered if it was an unusual amount of faith they had in Romina or if it was their typical carelessness.
"Okay, that's it!" Angel exclaimed, stopping abruptly. Carolinha crashed into his back. "We need to do something! It's been a whole hour!"
"She probably got lost; should've given her a map or something," Draco remarked, earning a full glare from Angel in return.
"This isn't funny!" Angel snapped. "It's your fault!"
"I thought we had already discussed this. On the matter of things being my fault, this one's pretty low. Romina does whatever the hell she wants—did you even see her hair last year?"
"You know what, Malfoy? I am sick of you!" Angel started for him, leaving Carolinha to scramble and try to pull him back.
"There's a surprise," Draco rolled his eyes, infuriatingly calm. "It's not like you've been sending me death glares for the past hour."
"Angel, c'mon!" Carolinha held onto her brother's arm tightly. "It's not his fault. Nobody forced Romina to go in there!"
"You should listen to your sister," Draco told the frantic twin brother.
"Not an invitation for you to keep talking!" Carolinha snapped. She looked at Blaise for some help but he was beyond attempting to hold either side back.
"What is going on?" Everybody froze in their tracks at the sound of Romina's voice. She was both horrified and confused at the sight of the near standoff between Draco and Angel.
"Oh thank God!" Daphne zoomed past them all to attack Romina in a big hug. "You're alright!"
"Well of course I am!" Romina laughed and patted Daphne's back. "What'd you think was going to happen to me?"
"Bad things!" Angel exclaimed, pushing Carolinha off him and hurrying up to Romina. Daphne had just managed to let go when Angel took his turn and hugged Romina. "You're never going back in there again, do you understand? You were gone for more than an hour!"
"Oh yeah," Romina said, shrugging carelessly. "I kinda lost track of time."
"What were you doing?" Arden curiously asked.
"Well, I went into Borgin and Burks—fair notice, giving them the Oswell name is like a free pass into anything in that part of town."
"So, you figured out the trick," Draco walked over, never minding the glare Angel still had on him.
Romina, however, was smirking proudly. "I'm not an idiot. It was the first thing that came out of my mouth. For once, Elora and Caplan actually helped."
"Why were you there for so long?"
"There's a lot of things to see…" Romina waved the matter off in favor of a much better matter, "And so, it seems like I win, and you know what that means?" For a moment, Draco had forgotten the deal. The horror that crossed his face was much too funny not to laugh at. Romina clapped her hands together. "This is going to be amazing!"
"I'm not—I can't, Oswell!" He said, almost frantically. "My parents would never let me go near your...your neighborhood!"
"Please, I'm sure that brain of yours—" she managed to tap his forehead before he smacked her finger away, "—will come up with a decent lie."
"I'm not doing it," Draco declared.
"I think you have to," Blaise said, snickering on the side.
"Shut it, Zabini!"
"Nice doing business with you," Romina said with her own giggle.
"You shut it too, Oswell!"

i just wanted to say that you are one of my favorites h/d writers and one of the reasons, except your brilliant writing of course, is the fact that you also believe it is bullshit that Harry could love Draco before he changes for the better and hates the whole “he was rapidly becoming obsessed with Malfoy” thing. I honestly think that a lot of writes and fans of h/d have Draco as their favorite character and because of that they tend to be more biased towards him. But if Harry could like Draco when he was a jerk to Hermione and Ron, laughed at Cedric’s death and treated everyone that Harry loved badly, then why does he has to change at all you know? I think that people get so fixated in the “he was a child pressured by his father” and all the other arguments they use to excuse Draco of his behavior that they forget that Harry and the others were children as well who didn’t deserve to be treated this way especially when they were already suffering. Like, just because you can understand the circumstances of why someone hurt you doesn’t mean it’s going to hurt less, plus Draco actually believe in those things he said, he only changed his mind latter but for some reason people like to pretend he didn’t. I just think that this defeats the purpose of the ship for me cause I like h/d because i believe that people can change and that we can learn to accept them not in spite of what they did but because of the fact that they work to change for the better everyday. Sorry for the long text but i get a little upset about this and also english isn’t my first language so sorry for any mistakes and thank you for reading it ❤️💚
I'm glad you like my writing!
I'd just like to clarify that I don't believe it's bullshit that Harry could love Draco without Draco changing. I believe a) it's possible for people to fall in love with people they don't agree with morally or ethically, and that's not bullshit, b) it's not bullshit to want to see that kind of love in your fantasies or your fanfics.
I just don't prefer to write (or read) fic in which Draco doesn't make significant changes. Redemption is what interests me about Draco; he didn't get it in canon, and I like to see him work for it in fic. Interestingly, I also like fic in which Harry has to change significantly to see Draco's humanity; I like it best when both of them grow beyond the scope of their childhood ethics (and not coincidentally, the ethics of the canon itself).
I do quite often get the impression that many people do like Draco "better," or care about him more. I think this is fine. I'm often more interested in a character than another character I ship them with, I am just personally uninterested in writing or reading fic that doesn't treat both characters as humans that deserve empathy and understanding.
And I think that you're right, that a lot of people seem to focus their empathy on Draco without extending much to Harry or his friends. Extending empathy does not have to be an either/or scenario! You can feel bad about how Draco was indoctrinated and the things Draco was forced to do while still also feeling bad that Harry was bullied by Draco; you can still feel that it's horrible that Harry's life was threatened by Draco and ideals Draco espoused.
As you say, just because someone hurt you for understandable reasons doesn't mean you're not allowed to be hurt. Similarly, even if you never intended that harm, you still have to deal with the consequences of having caused harm. Like, people will still be hurt, whether you meant for them to be or not. I think that this was a really formative realization for me growing up, and something that seems lost in a lot of discussions about purity or goodness or morality. Your motives can be pure as the driven snow, and you can still hurt someone. A child can be innocent and cause pain. I have been hurt by children plenty of times--they don't necessarily have to apologize to me, but I'm still allowed to feel hurt.
But I will wrap by saying that people ship Harry/Draco for many reasons, and it's okay to want fic that focuses solely on Draco getting love and support with Harry a mere vessel for that love and support. I do not demand that anyone else cater to my specific desires for the ship. What you want from the ship and what you like about it are not a test of virtue; it can be about what makes you feel good. The way I like the ship happens to make me feel good, and I write what I want to read.

UNPOPULAR OPINION :
Tumblr media
Draco Malfoy is perhaps the darkest and shadiest character to feature in the Harry Potter books after Severus Snape. Honestly, Draco is not likeable throughout the course of the seven books because of his unfair meanness and prejudiced notions against the golden trio.
But it is not unreasonable. I think if no one remembers, Harry and Draco's animosity began with the fact that Draco insulted Ron on their first meeting at Hogwarts.
Now why did he do that?! Let's get to that point.
We all can see that Lucius Malfoy is an absolute insensitive, cold monster. He is blinded by his prejudices against the mud bloods and muggles. He is an ego maniac, who couldn't care less about his son's feelings. He had always fed Draco what is good or bad according to his judgement. Arthur Weasley and Lucius work in the ministry and its obvious how open minded Arthur is and how much interested he is in the muggles, which is entirely opposite for Lucius. The hatred was passed on to Draco through Lucius. Honestly I believe Draco is more jealous of Ron, and the Weasleys than he actually hates them. Everyone knows how accepting and loving the Weasleys are. Living in a cold environment as such as the Malfoy manor, with talks of the Dark Lord and death and genocide...., a child seeks love and warmth in a home. Time from his family. Care and affection. And he was completely ignored and kind of isolated from those pleasures because of his father and his queer obsession with propriety. Thus his unbound hatred for the Weasleys.
Draco knew that his father likes being friends with influential people, thus he knew being friends with Harry Potter would earn him some appreciation in the least, if not love. But with his quick negative remark about Ron and his family lost him Harry's friendship. Thus with every mistake Draco just grew bitter and bitter until the very end. He wanted to be better than Harry Potter. He wanted to be more popular than him. He wanted to be as loved as Ron Weasley was by his family. He wanted a true friend who cares for him like Hermoine Granger does for Harry and Ron, and not have blind followers like Crabbe and Goyle from familial obligations. He wanted to Slytherin to win the house cup and gain genuine favor from the teachers. He wanted some one to care for him like Hagrid. He wanted his father to care about him and his opinions and feelings. He wanted a normal life with happiness. But no. He didn't, he just lost and lost and lost. And that made him bitter and more envious and loathsome.
He never wanted the life that he had to live. He was afraid of the Dark Lord.
Draco was mean and selfish but not evil. His selfishness triggers his cruelty and coldness but he is not evil. He didn't wish to kill Dumbledore and he even couldn't see people dying. He was positively disturbed when a person was killed infront of him at the Malfoy manor. He didn't wish Harry or his friends to die, because however much he hated them, or pretended that he was superior to them, they were his friends. He was genuinely scared for them. He didn't wish more people to die. So he pretended that he didn't recognize Harry.
Later on he went to retrieve the cup and fight against them, but that is because he had no choice.
Draco Malfoy didn't have a choice.
Draco has done a lot of bad and unforgivable things but in no way he deserves to die. Some people say that "Draco Malfoy should have died" and stuff but I think that is absolutely unnecessary. I believe he got his chance at redemption and peace. He had to live on, the rest of his life, with trauma, regret and shame. That was both his punishment and relief. No more expectations and the Dark Lord. Just him and some space to breathe and live life like a normal wizard with a family to care for.
But because he was not evil, he could slowly revive from his bitterness. It was clearly mentioned that he had acknowledged Harry and the other's presence while having his son board the Hogwarts Express. He felt ashamed so he couldn't approach, but he was thankful so he did acknowledge them.
He is definitely a person who's character got destroyed purely due to the circumstances and his poor environment, like that of Tom Riddle Jr's, but he should not be blindly hated. He is a dark character and in no way should he be mistaken to be soft and kind and genuine. He is arrogant, mean and rude, but that doesn't make him cruel. Atleast not as much as certain people claim him to be. I am not a Draco Malfoy fan, but I always judge a character's both good and bad and I can appreciate the good. Recently I read a lot of hate comments which were absolutely unnecessary. He has done many many unforgivable things and he has recieved his punishment as well. He would never be able to look up with the other wizards and witches ever. But,
Draco deserves to be loved. Draco deserves happiness and peace.
Hopefully in an another alternate universe, Harry would find out why Draco is so mean. Would eventually fight with him then punch the truth out of him, help him cry, tell him that it is ok you be vulnerable and that no one is pitying him and that he would love to be friends with him if he would be nice to Ron and then would be friends with him. Draco would apologize to Ron. Hermoine will forgive. Ron will take time but eventually they will develop a wierd, awkward but cute bromance and the others soon will accept him. Okay, now i am rambling.....you can leave...ulp...
*sighs in fangirl*
PS : Atleast for the poor childhood he had there must be a proper compensation and recovery, because tht was the only thing which was not in his control. We all have a choice, always, but that was something where he genuinely could do nothing. Thus that's where my empathy arises for him.

could i request a slytherin x draco imagine where the reader and draco have been dating for a long time and she’s kind of a bitch like draco but she also doesn’t believe in blood supremacy so people are just scared of her they don’t not like her but anyways she and draco do share same feelings towards potter and stuff like that so what if draco crossed the line with potter or the trio and ron and harry get super upset but the reader feels bad and goes up to hermoine after class and apologizes because she know draco didn’t mean it to go that far but he’s stubborn and she feels better about the situation but the next morning ron confesses that he had the twins help of putting something in draco’s glass for breakfast but in actuality it was the readers cup and they see the reader drink it and they freak out because ron said that it was a smaller dose of draught of the living death where they could get sick and fall asleep for a long time and hermoine freaks out because she says that the reader apologizes and throughout the day the reader feels super ill and draco is tries taking care of her until that night where she goes to sleep and pansy her roommate and bff (we love pansy) can’t wake her up and she runs to the great hall and tells draco and the trio feels guilty until the twins get an antidote and it ends in fluff? i’m sorry it’s so long idk how else to explain it 😥

universe: harry potter
Tumblr media
„Only those who really want to inflict torture on their victim and have sadistic pleasure in seeing them suffer, can create the right magical energy for a successful torture curse”, Professor Snape, your teacher in Defense Against the Dark Arts this year, repeats to the entire class, strutting around in front of the blackboard that is only filled with three words. Slowly getting bored, you lean back in your chair and look at the ceiling, which seems far more interesting than the repetition of the three unforgivable curses right now.
Your gaze wanders over the numerous cracks in the ceiling above you until you completely block out Professor Snape’s voice. As soon as you direct your eyes a little further to the left, you stare at your beautiful boyfriend, whose side profile is illuminated by the shining sun. Smiling to yourself, you move closer to him to gently place your hand on top of his, hoping to draw his attention to you.
But without success.
Draco does not move an inch, his gaze intently focused on the front of the classroom while he is listening to the lesson, not even stopping when you finally lay your head on his shoulder and sigh softly.
Since your beloved boyfriend obviously does not want to give you the attention you deserve, you look for something else to do to cure your boredom. Annoying Harry Potter and Ron Weasley seems like a good decision for you. It does not take you long to toss small, rolled up balls of paper against the back of their heads, careful to only throw it across the room when Snape turns his back to the class. Rolling their eyes, they turn to you in annoyance, but you just give them a malicious smile before they try to focus again.
Just like Draco, you despise Harry Potter profoundly. There has never been a real reason for your hatred, but sometimes you meet people in your life that you just can’t get along with. This similarity of Draco and you only bonded you together even more.
You were never very popular at Hogwarts anyway, neither with your classmates nor with the teachers. But you do not care. In fact, you even enjoy it when you walk through the corridors and the first years move aside in fear immediately. If Draco is with you, they even turn around and take a different path. And because the few people you actually do get along with are always by your side, you do not mind having a certain reputation at this school.
“You will write a twenty-page essay about the unforgivable curses until next week”, Professor Snape finishes the lesson and you excitedly jump out of your seat right away, collecting your stuff. Since your hand was still connected to Draco’s, you pulled him along.
“Someone seems to have a strong interest in these curses”, you giggle when you see his almost annoyed expression due to the ending of the lesson.
“And what if it does?”, he rolls his eyes at you and you wait until he has stowed all his things in his bag before you go out into the hallway together. Almost like a reflex, you intertwine your hands as you walk down the corridors of Hogwarts.
On your way to the Great Hall to get something to eat, you walk across the courtyard when you suddenly notice the Golden Trio, as they are called, sitting on one of the benches out of the corner of your eye. Before you can react, they are already standing in front of you.
“Sorry, but you are covering the sun”, you mention snippily and raise an eyebrow, waiting for them to clear the way.
“What was that about earlier, Y/N?”, Ron angrily asks you and you just shrug your shoulders ignorantly.
“Do not make a scene now, Weaselbee”, Draco interferes, obviously annoyed.
“Oh, it is you, Malfoy! I did not recognize you anymore, now that you have suddenly become so meek since your father is in Azkaban”, Harry mocks and you feel the situation slowly escalating. “How does he like his new home?”
If looks could kill, you are sure all three of them would be dead on the spot.
“At least I still have parents, Scarhead”, Draco fires back through gritted teeth and his grip on your hand becomes tighter.
“Depulso!”
As soon as these words come out of Harry’s mouth, Draco is pushed back through the air, his back hitting the brick wall. In shock, you look after him, your legs unable to move. The arguments between you and them happened countless times, but no one has ever raised their wand.
“Harry!”, you hear Hermione scold him, but too late. The anger is clearly written upon Draco’s face as he slowly straightens his posture. Reaching for his wand in a flash, the next few seconds pass in slow motion.
“Cruci-“
“Expelliarmus!”, you quickly interrupt when you realize what Draco was about to say, and his wand flies through the air, landing right in front of your feet. An uncomfortable silence spreads and even Draco does not seem to understand what he was about to do.
“You have totally gone crazy!”, Ron is the first so speak up and angrily stomps towards your still stunned boyfriend, but you quickly stand between them, protecting Draco.
“Ron, stop it”, Hermione talks him out of doing anything stupid until he finally gives in and lets her pull him away. With an disparaging look, the three of them disappear into the next corridor.
“Are you actually crazy!?”, you turn to Draco, who immediately lowers his head, obviously understanding that his actions were wrong. “These curses are called unforgivable for a reason, Draco! I thought you listened to Snape today, damn it!”
“I-I am sorry”, he manages to say, lifting his head to look at you, trying to show you that he is serious. “But you hate them too!”
“And yet I would never harm them physically!”, you reply irritably and shove his wand back into his hand. You then turn away, shaking your head.
“I apologized! Wait, babe-“
“No, Draco. You went too far this time”, you interrupt him and pull your wrist out of his grip. With these words you leave him alone and make your way into the filled Great Hall. Once you arrive inside, you feel the burning and piercing looks of the whole Gryffindor table on you, but you choose to ignore them and walk straight up to their table. Contrary to what you expected, their conversations suddenly fall silent when you walk up to Hermione.
“Can we talk for a moment?”, you ask her with no emotion in your voice or face, but your eyes are almost begging her, and your heart is leaping. After exchanging a few glances with the Weasley twins and their little sister, Hermione nods in agreement and follows you out of the Great Hall into the silence of the corridors.
“What is it?”, she sighs and puts her hands on her hips.
“I wanted to apologize for Draco’s behavior. He really did not mean it, you have to believe me. Draco can be so incredibly stubborn sometimes, but he would never want to harm any of you”, you rant to her while she listens closely.
“First of all, I am not the one you should apologize to, and most importantly, you should not be the one to apologize”, Hermione replies, rubbing her fingers against her temple. “We both know what happens to wizards who cast one of these curse-“
“Shh!” you interrupt her and quickly cover her mouth, suppressing her words. “I know. But- Well I-“
“I accept your apology, Y/N. After all, Harry and Ron were not entirely innocent either”, she explains to you and for a brief moment you see a small smile cross her lips. Right now, you would love to hug her.
“Thank you”, you say from the bottom of your heart. Sometimes it can actually be helpful to approach things with a little kindness.
“I am also sorry about what happened. Let us just forget about it”, she suggests, and you agree without hesitation.
And Hermione really is just as sorry as you are. Especially when Ron tells her about his nasty plan at breakfast the next morning. Hermione did not get around to tell them about your apology yet, which is why Ron still wants revenge. With the help of Fred and George, he prepared a small potion of Draught of the Living Death and gave it into Draco’s glass. But when Hermione finds out about it, it is already too late.
She can only helplessly watch as you suddenly ingest the toxic mixture instead of Draco.
You, on the other hand, did not even notice that there is something strange about your drink and continue to talk with Pansy, while still giving Draco the cold shoulder. Of course, he has apologized a thousand times, but if you do not punish him in some way, he will never learn from it.
Nevertheless, you are quite glad that he does not leave your side for the whole day, because when you feel lightheaded all of a sudden and shortly afterwards pass out, he is by your side immediately, catching you.
“Babe, can you hear me?!”, Draco basically yells in your face before gently patting your cheek, causing you to open your eyes again. Confused and disoriented, you look around, not remembering what happened.
“What- What happened?”, you ask limp, almost not able to get your teeth apart to speak while your eyes keep feeling extremely heavy.
“You passed out”, he explains as he is already heaving you into his strong arms. “I will take you to your room, you have to rest.”
Carefully, he lays you down on the soft mattress of your bed and covers your body with the blanket, completely wrapping you up before he sits on the edge of the bed and closely watches you. You weakly reach for his hand and run your thumb over the back of his hand before a quiet ‘thank you’ leaves your lips, drifting into a deep sleep.
After Draco lingers by your side for several hours silently, inwardly dying of worry, Pansy finally compels him to go to the Great Hall for dinner and then catch up on some sleep himself while she takes care of you. Only when she promises, does he consent and leave your room.
It is already late in the evening when Pansy goes to bed after finishing her homework while keeping an eye on you the whole time. Just as she is about to make herself comfortable, she notices that your chest is no longer moving up and down regularly as it was a few minutes ago.
You do not breathe anymore.
“Y/N!”, Pansy yells and runs to your side, placing her hands on your shoulders to shake you awake. “Wake up, wake up! Damn it!”
No matter how long she shakes your body, you will not wake up even when she slaps you lightly. You do not move an inch and your face looks as pale as that of a corpse. As if you were already lingering among the dead. As if you were in a deathlike slumber. If you had not suddenly started breathing again, Pansy would really have believed that you were gone.
Thereupon, she loses no more time and sprints out of the room, almost falling down the stairs on the way to the Great Hall. Because it is already so late in the evening, there are only a few students sitting at the tables, looking at her in shock when she rushes inside.
“Draco! It is Y/N! You- She just won’t wake up”, Pansy calls out across the hall and hurries over to the Slytherin table. Harry, Ron, and Hermione watch what is happening with a sense of guilt from the other side.
Before Draco can follow Pansy to the common room, Hermione blocks his way, along with Harry and Ron, briefly stopping him, causing Draco to get angry right away.
“Get out of the way! I do not have time for-“
“Listen, Malfoy! She drank Draught of the Living Death, that is why she does not wake up”, Harry interrupts him and Draco’s eyes widen in an instant.
“What?!”
“Originally, it was meant for you! As revenge”, Ron admits, hiding himself behind Hermione, just in case.
“Are you stupid?!”, Draco hisses and takes a dangerous step towards Ron, but before the situation can escalate again, Hermione intervenes.
“Now is not the time! Fred and George created the potion so they will be able to make the antidote as well. We just need a little more time”, Hermione negotiates and Draco reluctantly agrees before they part ways again and he takes the quickest way back to you.
Staying by your side all night, the tension in his body does not fade and even though his eyes start to slowly feel heavy, he stays awake. He will not let you out of his sight and pays particular attention to your breathing, which initially remains regular. When Hermione joins them in your room, a vessel in her hand, he is finally relieved from his suffering.
“This is Wiggenweld Potion. It reverses the effects of Sleeping Draughts, she explains and hands Draco the potion. "It is not exactly described how to give it to the victim though I once heard that a prince used it to heal a princess. With a kiss.”
Hermione did not even finish her sentence as you can already feel Draco’s soft lips on yours and within a few seconds, your eyes flutter open. Whatever is just flowing down your throat tastes bitter and you look around confused, looking into blurred faces that seem relieved.
“For Merlin’s sake, you are alive”, Draco breathes out, hugging you tightly, so tight that he almost chokes you. Inhaling his pleasant scent, your exhausted body relaxes, but you still can’t remember anything. After you passed out in the hallway, you felt like you were floating on clouds. You could not hear anymore, could not move and for a brief moment you saw a bright white light in front of you, coming closer and closer.
“What happened?”, your voice comes out muffled as you talk against Draco’s shoulder. He loosens his arms around you and takes both of your hands in his, running his fingers over your delicate palms.
“You were under the influence of the Draught of the Living Death. Ron apparently mixed it into your drink by accident. It was meant for me and- I am so terribly sorry. If I had not been so stupid, then-“
“Then I would still be sleeping now”, you finish his sentence and give him a gentle smile, the tension in his face and body disappearing. Slowly leaning forward, you connect your lips again, this time for a proper kiss. “I am not mad at neither you nor Ron.”
In the corner of your eye, you also see Hermione relax at your words, breathing out deeply.
“Did you at least learn from it?”, you lift an eyebrow and look at Draco expectantly.
“I swear that I will never ever in my life even think about uttering one of those curses again”, he explains honestly and raises his hands in defense. “I was stupid and I will apologize to them.”
“Already done”, Hermione smiles and opens the door, causing Harry and Ron to stumble into the room, Ron looking at you anxiously and with uncertainty.
“Do not worry, Ron. I am fine”, you reassure him, but his gaze still wanders between Draco and you, not sure how to judge the scene.
“How about we agree that we still do not like each other, but that we at least do no more physical harm?”, Draco suggests and after everyone agreed and said goodbye, he is the only one who stays by your side.
“You look tired, babe. You should get some sleep”, you mention and take his face between your hands, softly caressing his cheeks.
“You do not seriously think that I will let you sleep alone after all of this, do you?”, he states as he is already making himself comfortable on the bed next to you, pulling you closer to him, protecting you from all the evil in the world. In fact, he does, and keeps his word. After this incident there has never been another one.

Potterlock Headcanons for My Fic #4
(Hp and the Adventures of SH) - to possibly implement
|Part 1|Part 2|Part 3|
Mystrade duo like to trash talk Ministry officials in the wee hours of the morning after their Secret Case(TM) debriefs
speaking of which, Magnussen is the Chief of the Daily Prophet... do you sense the drama and double-double toil and trouble? <3
sherlock once apparently sneezed so hard while practising some Tranfiguration spell that he set McGonagall's hat on fire, no he will not elaborate
Draco has a raven friend he named Sherlock after his cousin, because he misses him
Harry, Ron, and Hermione, however, also befriend the same raven... but named him Crowley for the lols
did you know that something tragic happened to Sherlock and John between their Hogwarts' 1980s graduation and 1997? yeah~
Blake being an American transferring to the UK is the best way to vent an outsider's frustration with the system, especially magic
here is me making Mycroft into the softest, most emotional and emotionally-intelligent character in the fic, yes i will elaborate (with following chapters). i like mycroft, okay? he deserves better, which is why he needs to much angst too
bewop! Jim Moriarty, another boy who is in the Lucky Seven gang is very good friends with Carl Powers. he also has a pretty bitchy sister Janine who is really into the pureblood bs, dilemma ensues
i should write more on the L7 but i dunno what exactly... hmm, also on patronuses and the magical system
oh!! yeah Greg is our lil' bean, but did you know he can rip guys twice his size into pieces? his half-blood heritage has to do with it!
uhhh let's say that Mycroft has a way to reach Sirius in Azkaban, and is maybe the only person who never gave up on his uncle despite nowehere near any evidence. which iiiis why you should stay tuned! *mwah*
thank you for reading, headcanons or fic or both, I love you! I also have a post titled 'Why Mycroft Holmes Can (and Will) Oppose Dumbledore' in my drafts in the works so maybe stay tuned for it too, if you're interested?

ruined parties // older brother draco (implied fred weasley)
masterlist!
a/n: i didn't know how to label this without it looking like an incest fic and I just want everyone to know it is most definitely not an incest fic and I don't know how to make it look better why is this my life
i just saw this in my inbox unreasonably late and I loved it sm so I wrote this little overprotective big brother draco fic :) I wanted to thank @gaycatlord-stuff for the message and the meme because I loved it sm and it rly got the juices in my sahara desert brain flowing.
summary: Draco is a relentlessly overprotective brother who ruins all romantic opportunities for you.
(2k)
-----
Sometimes, you wondered how different your life would be as a muggle. You wondered if your wealthy parents would have shoved you off to a nanny rather than house-elves; if you would have gone to a muggle boarding school and studied classic literature for an actual class and not just for fun, which Draco loved to remind you was one of the weirder things about you; if you would have learned to do laundry and wash the dishes and comb your hair without the brush levitating with a flick of your wand.
You wondered, most of all, how Draco would manage to beat up all the boys who showed interest in you as you grew up.
Draco went through his phases of the ways in which he would 'protect' you. He had really enjoyed the bat-bogey hex for a while in your first year. In second year and most of third year, he went with the safe option of the jelly-legs jinx. By fourth year he had matured to more advanced methods of transfiguration. He had managed to turn Michael Corner into a raccoon for at least a whole day when Michael had offered to carry your bag for you in the hall.
Fifth year was bad. He had been taken in by Snape, who offered him a number of tips and tricks in the world of dark magic. You insisted Draco didn't need dark magic, and he insisted that you mind your own business.
Draco was irritable and nearly unbearable by sixth year. He hovered over you like a vulture, sending glares to anyone who even looked at you. Your friends started calling him Bloody Mary because he was always haunting over your shoulder. You knew it was because your parents were putting a lot of pressure on him and his crush on Harry Potter was becoming inhumanely large, but still. It was annoying.
It was even more annoying when Draco seemed to have met a suitable match in Fred Weasley.
You had a bit of a liking for muggle things. The school year was your only chance to inhabit this hobby, with your father removing all your muggle posters from your room the second you left for the train. You took Muggle Studies and begged Dumbledore not to tell your parents. You had mostly muggle-born or half-blood friends, which you also told your parents nothing about. Draco found this all the more reason to 'protect' you.
"You ought to dye your hair," you gritted out, sulking over your breakfast and resisting the urge to kick Draco's shin under the table.
Draco didn't respond, shoveling beans into his mouth with an unamused look.
"Seriously," you continued. "Your hair doesn't match your energy. Black would be very striking. You and your boyfriend would be matching."
Draco kicked your shin under the table, making you regret not taking your chance earlier. Harry was a sore spot for Draco, but Draco had just done a wandless spell on Ernest Macmillan before he could ask you to Hogsmeade, and he deserved it.
"What are you reading?" He grunted, offering an unspoken truce he knew you would take.
You shielded the cover, "Killing your brother 101. Enlightening."
"How far into it are you?"
"Almost done. I'd prepare yourself if I were you."
Draco hummed, unfazed by your murderous threats.
"You finish the notes for Charms?" you shut your book, stealing a piece of cantaloupe from Draco's plate.
"Yes," Draco looked at you eating the stolen fruit unapprovingly, pulling some sort of older brother superiority with just one look at you. Infuriating.
"What's the time?" You abandoned the Charms notes, no longer willing to admit you didn't do them.
"Just past 7," Draco pushed his plate away from him, standing and straightening his tie.
"See you at dinner," you began putting your things away and Draco mumbled a goodbye, setting off for his own classes. You were just shoveling the last of the beans he left on his plate into your mouth when a foreign group of bodies were across from you in your peripheral.
You lifted your head, hunched over the beans and still chewing, to see Fred, George, and Lee.
You squinted, chewing slowly and leaning back as to avoid any sort of tripwire for a prank.
"Malfoy," Fred said pleasantly, which was not how people usually said your last name.
"Big brother leave you by your lonesome?" Lee added, also not taking the cruel tone most would when talking about your brother.
This was odd.
"What do you want?" you swallowed your food, eyeing them suspiciously.
"I thought she was meant to be the better of them," George stage-whispered to Lee.
"We are here to formally invite you to a party we are hosting," Fred continued, unperturbed.
Lee and George watched you, waiting for your reaction.
"Alright," you agreed and stood, joining your friends in the hall to walk to class.
"That was easier than I expected," Lee said cheerfully, visibly relieved now that he was not in your presence.
"I told you," Fred puffed his chest out confidently and place his hands on the table as he stood, "Without Draco around, she's perfect."
-
The party was in full swing and Draco was drunk. With one guess, you would have to assume it had something to do with the way Harry kept offering to top off his glass, his hand hovering on the small of Draco's back as they talked into each other's ears.
Drunk Draco was a luxury you were not often afforded. Drunk Draco meant living a life of your own, doing things without his watchful eye.
So you also got drunk. Your friends used the term 'waisted' the next morning, but we will say 'drunk' for maturity purposes. And drunk you got!
Fred was always suspiciously close to you, and suspiciously nice once you thought harder on it. You tried not to leave any drink unguarded while he hovered and stayed with friends as often as possible.
You eventually found yourself on a large leather couch in the center of the room. Ron was next to you, stoned out of his mind, and digging around in the pocket of his flannel for more rolling papers. On the other side of you, Luna's head rolled around her neck, falling onto your shoulder and the couch and finally landing on Ginny's lap when she passed out. You watched Ginny stroke her hair, occasionally tracing a line down her nose. Sighing, you accepted the blunt when Ron finally passed it your way.
You were passing it back, sufficiently stoned out of your gourd, when it was plucked from your hands. You thought you had dropped it, jolting back and looking around frantically until you saw those awful, bony, white fingers dangling the now soggy blunt in front of your face.
"C'mon!" Ron groaned, face twisting through the stages of grief as he saw his ruined creation.
"Pot?" Draco said as if he were 40 and with a mortgage.
"Pot," you replied as if you were 17 and at a party.
One of you had an accurate hold on reality. The other held a soggy blunt.
Ron took the soggy blunt and attempted to salvage it, sinking down to his knees to work on the coffee table in front of you. Draco took his seat and set his drink on the table to his side. He didn't drink from it, presumably because of a blunt that had been swimming in it for a moment.
"I thought you were with Harry," you said slowly, torn between wanting to hurt Draco if something had gone badly with Harry and actually wanting to know why he wasn't still with him.
"Yeah, he went up to bed," Draco answered, not sounding pitiful and mournful like he had a habit of sounding after interacting with Harry.
"He didn't take you with him?" you slurred, leaning into Draco's strong and seemingly sober shoulder.
"Shut up," he chuckled, wrapping an arm around your side and hauling you off the couch. You reached into his pocket, finding some loose bills you knew would be there, and slipped them to Ron as compensation before you left.
You felt accomplished, drunk and high, leaving a party after a fun time. It was also a highlight to have given Ron Weasley Draco's drug money.
-
As per usual, you didn't have a date for Hogsmeade. Your friends were all in Madam Puddifoot's with their dates, gazing over the table at each other like lovesick puppies. Draco currently had you in a headlock while he rubbed his knuckles into the top of your head.
You shoved your heal into his foot, making him release you.
You both returned to your drinks with slightly labored breaths and scowls.
Draco was upset because Harry wasn't at Hogsmeade and you were upset because you were in Hogsmeade with Draco. You would have fallen at his knees and begged him to release you from the chains of this sibling dynamic if he weren't the one buying lunch today.
You ate, still scowling, and walked around scowling, and returned to Hogwarts scowling. You hugged each other, scowling, before bed and went to your respective dorms.
-
It was hot and there was no wind. Really, absolutely no wind. The water on the black lake was eerily reflective and the trees were unmoving.
You were walking with some friends, charmed fans moving around you as they blew cold air in your faces. You were returning from Hogsmeade with ice cream, very happy from the outing without Draco.
Regretfully, Draco did not seem to be as happy.
Stepping into the courtyard, you felt a drop of your ice cream land on your hand, sticky and cold and messy, and at the same time, you saw Draco hurl himself at Fred Weasley.
Fred sprawled across the courtyard, landing on some poorly transfigured pillows that you guessed were the product of George's wandless magic. His head was cushioned from what would have been a nasty hit on the stone. He squirmed under Draco, long arms and legs flailing against the steady weight Draco was putting on him.
You watched Lee and George leaning against a wall, presumably letting Fred fight this battle on his own.
You decided to do something similar.
You watched as Fred wrangled himself free, both boys tripping over the pillows until George vanished them. In the free space, they circled each other with their hands raised. It was funny to see two pure-blood wizards fighting so viciously without a hint of magic.
Draco took a step forward with his left foot, tricking Fred out to lunge at him from the right. He had Fred's leg and then Fred was on the ground again, grunting in pain. Draco flipped him and pinned him, knee resting on Fred's back and hands holding his arms together. Deciding Draco had enough fun, you walked over.
"Fight Club?" you offered, quirking an eyebrow.
"Did you go to Hogsmeade?" Draco ignored you, panting slightly. Up close you saw he had a nasty bruise on his cheekbone and some blood coming from his nose. Fred must have gotten a few hits in.
"Yeah," you licked your ice cream, "bloody scorching out."
"Hm," Draco hummed, adjusting his grip on Fred's arm and causing Fred to yelp in pain.
"How are you?" you asked politely.
"Alright. You?"
"Alright."
Draco nodded.
"So, what's this about?"
"He said he was going to prank you," Draco said, shrugging and adjusting Fred's arm again on purpose.
You gasped in faux shock, crouching down to look at Fred.
"A prank?" you asked him, smirking.
"No!" Fred yelped when he tried to move his arms.
You looked to Draco, whose eyebrows were furrowed. "I heard you! You said you were going to take her out!"
"Draco."
"Draco!" Fred yelped, finally getting his arms loose and crawling from underneath Draco's grasp.
"Oh my fucking god."
"Merlin," Fred mumbled, looking at your face and then Draco's guilty expression.
"Oh," Draco said simply, head tilting as he added up the moment's events in his head.
"Oh my fucking god," you repeated.
Draco got his feet under him.
"Oh my fucking god!" you hurled your ice cream cone at his back, hitting him hard as he ran. You chased him, narrowly avoiding the trail of melted strawberry ice cream he was leaving through the halls.

Fic Rec (it's been too long and I read a whole lot of fics)
I've read so many fics these past couple of months and my need to share them to the world has seized me by the throat. Please enjoy and support these fanfic writers! They are the best. XD
-
[Naruto]
Nine-Tailed Foxes are Dead by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Shikamaru/Naruto
For Konoha, it's been one month since the preliminary Chunin exams. For Naruto, it's been six. And he wasn't in Konoha.
At the end of his ordeal, Naruto walks into the Chunin Exam finals without his left arm.
Shikamaru is very concerned. And, eventually, very precious to Naruto as they work together to solve the mysteries of Konoha and bring kindness to the Shinobi world, one adventure at a time.
(I would die for this fic. I know the summary sounds doom and gloom but IT'S NOT. This fic made me fucking cry, I don't think I've ever read a fic that characterized Naruto so right. He's so full of hope and love and develops into the best version of himself and I'm so HERE FOR IT. And it's not just Naruto, Shikamaru is absolutely amazing here along with Kakashi and surprise surprise Ino, I can't BELIEVE it took me this long to stumble across this fic. Also THE WORLDBUILDING IS TO DIE FOR!!! And the plot! Is! So! Interesting! Just, everything about this fic is just amazing so please PLEASE read this!!!)
The End of the Uchiha by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Naruto/Sasuke
“I promise, little electric spirit of this shrine,” he whispered into the soft dirt and fallen leaves, “I will never gain the eyes. I will never pass them on. And I will make sure the eyes end in my brother, so that they can’t hurt anybody anymore. I will be the last Uchiha, and see to the end of the Copy-Wheel Clan. Then all of the hatred here can stop, and my family can rest peacefully. I promise, little shrine.”
Sasuke is more than his brother thinks he is. He's more than any Uchiha has ever been. He will kill his brother, but it will not be vengeance.
It will be mercy.
(Same author as the one above, they are the gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, HOW did I NEVER FIND THESE FICS before now??? One of life's greatest mysteries. The author's sense of humor is so on point here along with the atmospheric writing that's so vivid in the mind. Their writing style is so recognizable to me now and makes me fall into the world they're creating, it's stunning. Sasuke here makes me want to hug him and the idea of him living like a feral ghibli character has me LIVING. Check the tags of the fic, all of it is true, hand to god. Please give all of the author's fics a shot, it's a rabbit hole I'm thankful I fell into!)
mil fantasmas (gritan en calma) by LegaciesandMemories
Post-Tsukuyomi, something in Uchiha Sasuke's mind shatters. The same night, Yamanaka Ino falls asleep and doesn't wake up for 15 days.
---
In which Ino and Sasuke both wake from the aftermath of the Uchiha Massacre with the ability to see ghosts, and no one is prepared for the fallout.
(This fic has arrested my curiosity and eagerness to know what will happen next. These poor kids need so many hugs and Ino is getting the spotlight she deserves. I am so excited for this fic and what it has in store! Please read! XD)
Lichtenberg Figures by Asteroid_Duck (JustThatOneGirl1815)
Name: Kakashi Hatake Rank: Jounin Status: Missing Nin Missing Since: June 15th, 271 AD Note: Flee on Sight . . . Haburashi looked his team in the eyes— three, fresh out of the Academy genin— and resolved to teach them as best as he could. And right now, his lesson was simple: “Stay. Away. From. Kakashi. Hatake.”
(Dimension travel fic with a slice of Kakashi being an absolute troll and dealing with the shitty hand he's been dealt with. Seriously, the man has the worst luck in all of Konoha. Also, the mystery of the other Kakashi's history has me leaning by the edge of my seat, I need to know.)
The Governess by Ysmirel
Ship: Kakashi/OFC
"“What,” he finally asked, “is so funny?”
Ibara bit her lower lip to keep the chuckles in, still smiling and making absolutely no effort to get more space between them, seemingly perfectly at ease within reach of a trained shinobi. Her self-control wasn't all that good, as she ended up snorting and was overcame once again by another fit of laughter. “I just- It's just-” She struggled to speak, trying to catch her breath and wiping away tears of mirth with the hand that wasn't still holding onto his vest. Finally, she looked him in the eye and said, with a smile that was all teeth and without a hint of her previous drunken stupor, “and who's going to believe you?”
As he stood there, stunned by her words and change in demeanor, he realized with dawning horror that she was right."
In which Kakashi finds himself at the other end of the troll shtick, and he doesn't appreciate it all that much.
(It's so hard to find self-insert fics with a fresh concept these days, especially in the naruto fandom. Not that I don't enjoy and devour a lot of self insert fics like it's going out of style, but it's just so nice to find something new and shiny and really damn good. I'm so pumped for this fic and how it's going to develop so please join me in rooting for this fic!)
half a league (until the valley of death) by SpectersShadow117
Kakashi can think of no reason for Sasuke's inexplicable and drastic change in behavior. He doesn't like the desperate, haunted gleam in his student's eyes, and he also doesn't like the nagging feeling that he's missing something very important. Aka: Future Sasuke goes to Past Sasuke and gives him a reality check with Specific Intentions, but as with most Uchiha, his methods leave much to be desired. (Featuring: Childhood trauma FTW, Konoha's shitty care of orphans, and absolutely no one having a fun time.)
(Sasuke wanting to change the future out of complete and utter spite has me LIVING. Sasuke is such a Mess here and the twist on the time travel premise is so good and the kid is so Traumatized and Desperate and Not Having A Good Time. Naruto and Sakura developing as better ninjas and Kakashi trying his best makes me want to scream. Also, how Sasuke thinks about Itachi makes me want to cackle. I am 100% down for this. I am rooting for this kid, go get them! XD)

[Harry Potter]
fruit loops in time (circle around me) by justprompts
Ships: Harry/Draco, Remus/Sirius
"This is Crabbe, and Goyle," the blonde boy says, pointing at the two boys next to him. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Ma - "
Ron laughs, and Malfoy immediately bristles.
"Think my name's funny, do you?" Malfoy says, angrily. "No need to ask yours - "
"You're honestly so cute," Ron interrupts, yet again, shaking his head. "So tiny. And so angry, all the time. It's adorable."
Alternatively Ron Weasley, Time Traveller Extraordinaire, is stuck in the same seven year Hogwarts Loop, repeating the same thing over and over again. Naturally, he's so done with everything.
(This is the greatest hp fic I've ever read. I LOVE RON WEASLEY and by the time you read this fic SO WILL YOU!! This is the fic I WISH I have the ability to write. I read this entire fic aloud to my brother and we spent literal hours howling and talking about how utterly insane and incredible this fic is, it's amazing. This is hands down my favorite Ron Weasley. You Can Pry This Fic From My Cold Dead Fingers.)
-
[Boku no Hero Academia]
Kacchan's Cult by Ourliazo
Pro Hero Ground Zero is attacked, originally meant to be de-aged out of existence by a desperate villain but is instead launched into his 14-year-old self.
But Katsuki is a fucking pro so whatever, time to fuck up someone's day. And sure, maybe he's only one man, but that's why he conscripts the entirety of the UA student body into tearing down some criminal empires.
(It's time travel, crack, and Bakugou being his usual explody, competent self. What more in life do you want? Seriously though, please read. I'm obsessed with this fic and having a Good Time!)
Cleaning Crew; Teaching Kids to Value their Safety, for Fun and Profit by Reavv
Takenaka Hideo is a thirty-two year old, in mild desperation for money, who has just been hired as a new janitor for UA's support staff. He has a quirk that lets him find lost objects, a liaison with the police because of it, and desperate desire for competent co-workers.
Oh, and he's already lived a previous life, in a world where quirks and heroes didn't even exist.
Not a big deal, though. It's not like you ever see the janitor playing a big part in action movies. He's here to get paid, and that's it.
On the opposite side of the equation, class 1-A has to wonder at the new UA cryptid that always seems to show up when things are on fire, and who keeps trying to convince them to let the adults handle the fire extinguisher.
(A great deal of fun packed into one fic. That is how I title this fic and nothing will change my mind! Hideo just wants to quietly do his job and not get in the way. I Relate. Please read!)
Poltergeist by WriterGreenReads
Class 1-A is haunted.
Well, not really.
I AM dead, though.
World's friendliest poltergeist, at your service.
(I don't know how I got so sucked into OC fics, but I found some fantastic fics along the way so I have no regrets. The author really tries to push the premise and I just love all the interactions and dynamics that form as the fic gets further in. And the OC character and all the hijinks they get up to cracks me up! At the same time, it's pretty heartwarming and it's practically a friendships galore fic! Definitely recommend it!)
invincible by supercrunch for Engrin
Ship: Bakugou/Midoriya
This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.
Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.
Until, of course, he eventually does.
(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.”
There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”
In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)
(If there was any other way canon could've gone, this is the story I would've wanted. It's perfect.)
Inadvertent Wilderness Therapy by Cacid
Following an unfortunate encounter with a teleporter on the last day of internships, Bakugou Katsuki and Hakamata Tsunagu spend some quality time in northern Canada.
In no particular order they will: build ugly survival shelters, stalk rabbits, run from polar bears, reflect on the chemical composition of trees, insult each other, and complain about krumholtz.
(THESE TWO. TOGETHER. IN THE WILDERNESS. IN FUCKING CANADA OF ALL PLACES. I still can't believe this fic actually exists and just how INVESTED I became in their relationship. Blue Jeanist instantly became my favorite ranked hero with this fic alone. HIS SENSE OF HUMOR IS TERRIBLE, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH FNIEWOPAF. BAKUGOU DOES TOO. IT'S FUCKING INCREDIBLE. *incoherent screeching into the wild*)

[Stranger Things]
Baci D'aria by RabbitDarling
“Love is worth the sum of itself, and nothing more.” ― Alice Hoffman, Practical Magic
Steve learned a lot at his Aunt's side before she passed but his favourite thing she taught him was baci d'aria; special little spells that you created from the heart and put into the food you shared.
In opening his heart and gifts to those around him Steve slowly finds himself a family in a way he never thought he'd get to experience. One by One he collects pre-teens to trail in his wake like ducklings and Steve can't even refute it by the time he realizes what has happened.
(This fic is so soft and Steve is just collecting people and winning them over with his magical food (literally). I am always a sucker for heartwarming, good for the soul fics so if you want to make yourself hungry and feel all warm and gooey inside, read this!)
(Don't Fear) The Reaper by TeaFourTwo
Ship: Steve/Billy
He looks down at the blood on his hands and on the floor and wonders why the memory hasn’t broken yet, why he isn’t back in Starcourt mall with control of his body again, wonders if he's even still alive at all. Is this hell then? Or perhaps purgatory? It certainly isn’t heaven, that’s for sure. None of this makes any sense…but then what's new—nothing in Billy’s life makes sense anymore.
Billy laughs then, loud and long and unhinged. It's the only sound in the whole house, and it bounces off the walls like a fucked up echo, like the world is laughing with him.
“Jesus christ you’re insane…” It’s Max’s voice and it’s shaking. It only makes Billy laugh harder, because Max has it all wrong. Billy isn’t crazy, it’s the rest of the world that’s insane.
--
Billy dies a hero of sorts. He wakes up back in his bed on Saturday morning, the third of November, 1984...nearly nine months earlier.
(Billy is stuck in a time loop and it's slowly driving him crazy. And the fic shows just how much influence Billy did have in the plot and how doomed the world is without him in it. Great character exploration with Billy's character and all the ways he's so messy and human. Definitely recommend it!)

[Knives Out]
The Road Less Traveled By by UisceOneLove
Ship: Marta/Ransom
If Harlan wants to leave Ransom to be on his own, fine. He'll show him just what Ransom Drysdale is capable of.
or, where Ransom chooses to prove his abilities through means of the non-homicidal variety and finds himself becoming exactly what Harlan was hoping he would.
(I found this fic out of sheer chance and god, Ransom is just, so fascinating to me as a character. Marta of course is the Best here and I will forever stan her. Seriously, this is such a good fic! Please read!)

[Haikyuu!!]
Sky Full of Stars by grilledsquids
The Hinatas are twins. They're practically identical.
But while Shouyou seeks out Karasuno's volleyball team to become the next Little Giant, Natsu is scouted to to play soccer for Shiratorizawa. While Shouyou sets his eyes on playing volleyball at the highest level possible, his sister wonders how much longer she can play soccer... and if it's worth it to keep going.
A Natsu-centric story featuring: Shiratorizawa VBC shenanigans, too many soccer OCs, mild teenage drama, a little bit of plot, and Semi Eita not knowing what a period is.
(It's just!! So cute and wholesome!!! The Shiratorizawa volleyball team is so fleshed out along with the OC characters for the girl's soccer team and I swear, it's been a long while since I've laughed this much at the sheer shenanigans that happen in a fic. It's surprisingly hard to find good gen fics in this fandom so finding this gem made me so happy! If you want a fic that brings a smile to your face, read this!!)
like water by speakingincode
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
“Oikawa,” Iwaizumi says, and when Tooru looks at him, he can read My best friend’s an idiot off the crease of his eyebrows. “Are you telling me you spent the last three years weirdly obsessed with Kageyama – I still remember the time you made us play him on a dumb whim, you know – and now you’re at his beck and call? Are you okay? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I’m— I’m not at his beck and call! I said no last week. It’s… It’s like you said. I get bored easily. I saw him at the park a couple weeks after they played Nationals and called him a perfect little tyrant, and he pestered me into spending time with him after,” Tooru says. “I’m not a monster, Iwa-chan. If he wants the company of his cool, handsome ex-upperclassman that badly, who am I to begrudge him?”
Or: Oikawa doesn't know why Kageyama keeps asking to meet him on Saturdays. He also doesn't know why he keeps saying yes.
(The fact this fic is canon-compliant and covers post-canon too makes me want to shout to the heavens. Fucking incredible! One of the best Oikakage fics ever and it's a crime how it's not at the top of the ship tag. Please please read!!)
twist into your shape by kakkoweeb
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
The only thing better than sweets were sweets containing paper that told you whether your future would be good or bad--or in Kageyama and Oikawa's case, paper that somehow caused you to live inside each other's bodies.
(Everyone probably already read this fic but it needs to be said, you need to read this fic. How these two try and manage each other's lives and slowly start to care about one another is so beautiful and sincere and I am ready to wrestle anyone to the floor and comply them into reading this fic. Doesn't matter if you like the ship, you will become a fan if you read it, I promise. Please please read!!)
Take the Long Road Home by pepperfield
Ship: Kuroo/Sawamura
When Azumane Asahi goes missing before his engagement meeting with Kozume Kenma, what other option is there but for Daichi to impersonate his brother and fake his way through a first date with Asahi's fiance?
Okay, let's be realistic - there were probably at least four other options.
Unfortunately, Tetsurou couldn't come up with any of them either, so now he's here flirting with Kenma's future husband while trying to keep his web of deceit from collapsing.
It's going to be an eventful day.

Kuroo doesn’t fall in love hard and fast like many others do – he falls slowly, and very very softly. Most of the times he doesn’t even realise he’s in love with someone until it’s too late.

Kuroo nearly lived a Daishou-free life, and sometimes he looked back and wondered how much better and how much worse that would've been.
(I didn't even know who Daishou was until I read this fic and now I can't unsee the potential this ship has. I'm a ruined woman and I regret NOTHING.)

Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
Upon arriving at the train station of death, an impure soul is granted a second chance at life against his will. Reincarnating into the body of Kageyama Tobio, a 15-year-old boy who recently committed suicide. Tobio's soul will depart at death and the soul needs to slip in to replace it. If the soul's reformation succeeds, he’ll reenter the cycle of rebirth and regain the right to be reborn. He will have three months to accomplish this task.
“Even though you had enough of life,” the soul whispered into the void of the room, “you were still afraid to hurt your hands, Tobio.”
Afraid of giving himself a scar, if he survived.
He touched his pulse and grasped life and couldn’t help but pity Kageyama Tobio.
"You wanted to die and now I’m here making you live again," he whispered into the night.
(I'm not even exaggerating when I say out of all the fics in this entire goddamn, too long list, this is the fic I'm anticipating and heart eyeing the most. It's only starting, but I already cried on chapter fucking 2, the power of this fic, holy shit. The author also wrote the hq time loop Every Tomorrows series, which I have an undying love for and am full on praying for the day it updates, so you KNOW this fic will be just as good. (Anybody who hasn't read this series, where the hell have you been?? Read it!!) Just, everything about this fic hurts me and something in my chest just aches when I read this fic. Go into it blind with an open heart and I swear to you, it's going to change your life. I'm already calling it. Seriously though, please please read!)

Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto
The number three hero is a walking (well, flying) contradiction in every sense of the word. This includes his teaching skills. Why had Tokoyami agreed to this internship again? Oh right. He’d thought he was actually going to learn something. …….remind him to never be so optimistic again. . . . OR, Kakashi Hatake is reincarnated as the pro hero, Hawks. Tokoyami Fumikage suffers as a result.
(The reincarnation fic I never thought I needed and it's so good!! I've never really paid attention to Tokoyami and this fic sent me headfirst into loving him. Their dynamic is so interesting and I just love how their relationship develops. Also, Kakashi trolling the poor kid made me cackle, it's great! Definitely recommend it!)

Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, John Wick
Everything has a price. That's what John has always known and will forever remember, even in death.
Which is pretty ironic considering his current circumstance.
Instead of a grown, scarred, weary body belonging to a man as cruel and broken as him, he's inhabiting a younger, smaller, unblemished one belonging to a child with strangely colored hair, and is living in what seems to be a superhuman society.
Well. May it never be said that John isn't a strategist. He can live with this. Maybe.
(Somewhere out there in the universe, he's certain he could hear the laughter of his enemies from beyond the grave.)

Or: John Wick is reincarnated as Midoriya Izuku. The world should probably watch its back.
(This should be one of the crackiest fics I've read in a while, but it's taken so seriously and I'm so HERE FOR THIS. John Wick being John Wick in a world of quirks and heroes is the GREATEST, honestly, he's so badass. Bakugou, I feel for you, you must be so fucking confused lol. Bakugou trying his best to be a good friend is one of the best things about this fic. Trust me, this fic will make your day, promise!)

(I binged this in two fucking days, I couldn't put it down. This fic reminded me why I liked fairy tail when I was younger and why Natsu is honestly such a great protagonist, god. And the fic does that thing, you know, the Thing where when two worlds collide, the characters struggle to acclimate and adapt to a completely another world with different rules and mindsets against their own. This fic is seriously one of the best when it comes to that aspect, it's incredible. I am going absolutely feral over here for this fic to update, I'm waiting in the wings, ready to pounce like a tiger, all the metaphors man. For the love of god, read this fic.)

Fandoms: Naruto, Natsume's Book of Friends
Kakashi Hatake isn’t who he says he is.
Because the truth is that he’s actually a youkai in disguise, a wolf spirit named Madara who stumbled across the Hatake clan during the Warring States Period. Intrigued by the shinobi he saw, he’d proposed a temporary alliance in which he would offer the clan protection in exchange for their teachings.
Decades later, Madara is surprised to find himself inadvertently summoned to Konoha by the last living member of the Hatake clan. Sakumo Hatake, who is mourning the recent deaths of his wife and stillborn child, doesn’t want to be alone anymore. So with his permission, Madara takes the place of Sakumo’s deceased son in order to watch over the last Hatake.
(Fusion in which the youkai of Natsume’s Book of Friends all exist in the Naruto world. No knowledge of Natsume’s Book of Friends required).
(Before this fic, I only had a very vague idea of what Natsume's Book of Friends was, and honestly, I still don't know much about it. But I didn't really need to know to get into this fic. I love the worldbuilding and the relationships Kakashi forms, both supernatural and mortal. I love how Kakashi's inhumane ways affect others around him, whether to stress them out or become used to the strange. You can go straight into this fic without knowing anything and absolutely still have a fantastic time. I definitely recommend this so please read!)

Curious - Draco Malfoy x Reader
*redoing it again because i accidentally deleted the text
requested by the lovely @the--queen-of-hell request: So imagine Draco coming to visit you in your room, but just as he's about to knock on the door, he hears voices inside the room so he realizes you're not alone. You had invited your friends over (let's say Hermione and Ron are there keeping you company). Draco hears that they're both asking you and talking about HIM, so he stays a little bit longer, curious what you have to say. And they ask if Draco is in any way horrible to you, if he's mean to you. But you actually get overly defensive for your boyfriend. You tell them that they will never know him like you do, and that he's extremely sweet, and lovely. That no body really gives him a real chance, that  he deserves love and comfort as everyone else... So, time passes and you go out of your room and think about visiting draco, since you haven't seen him all day. You knock on his door, and once he opens it, he just pulls you in for a deep, but soft kiss. And then he pulls over and holds you in his embrace, then he whispers something like "thank you so much, for being in my life... for being by my side, always" fasjfklsmflksfj ;_;
Tumblr media
It was a beautiful Saturday morning in Hogwarts. The sun was shining, the air was breezy, it was a sweater weather, and it was a beautiful day for Draco to take you on another date at Hogsmeade.
The two of you officially showed the world that you two were a couple during the first weeks of the current school year. Sparks only started flying during the summer before the school year. His family and yours being close ties with each other decided to travel over the summer together. Being the only teenagers during the whole trip leads you to getting to know each other.
With each quiet walk at night together or sitting together during meal times or trips to destinations, it showed that you started taking an interest in each other and later on fancying each other. It only took that very special night to finally express your love for each other.
During one of those free days your parents had given you during the trip, Draco asked permission from both families if he could take you somewhere else for the day, including the night. During the day, he didn’t schedule any tours or guides for the day - no, he knew you wanted a free day wherein there were no tour guides or following authorities around. He found a nice garden for the two of you to walk around and lay on the grass and talk about literally anything. He opened up so much with you that you realized that he wasn’t exactly the resident bad boy of Hogwarts. He was a kind and loving person just like anyone else. For the night, oh, you were really lucky you wore something formal enough because this man booked two seats at one of the most fanciest places in the city you were visiting. Your table being in a secluded place gave him the privacy to start expressing his love for you, asking if you would like to take the relationship to the next level. Without thinking about it, you nodded, telling him you felt the same way.
Now that school started, you both showed the world that you two were a thing. With holding hands, to small kisses around people, it told them that you, Y/N Y/L/N, were madly in love with Draco Lucius Malfoy, the Slytherin Prince, that everyone either despised him or were scared of him.
Of course half the school had the opposite thoughts that you were hoping not to hear. But you didn’t care and neither did Draco. It wasn’t their problem and they couldn’t manage to break you two up. Draco would personally have his father hear about any issues involving his son’s life and his girlfriend’s. You were technically family to the Malfoy’s already so Lucius would be willing to stand up for you.
As it was a beautiful Saturday in Hogwarts, you got dressed up, enhanced your appearance, and began styling your hair. Placing the finishing touches to your appearance, you heard two knocks from the door. Assuming it was Draco picking you up earlier than expected, you started rushing your touches a little bit. “Hold on, Draco, just finishing a few touches to my appearance.”
Expecting to hear Draco come up with a way to compliment you, you were replied with a different voice which stunned you a little bit. “Oh, it’s not Draco,” said a feminine voice, “It’s Hermione.”
“Hermione?” you asked with curiosity.
“Yes, along with Harry and Ron.”
All your final touches came to an end when you started walking up slowly to open the door to three slightly uncomfortable students in your year. The Golden Trio weren’t exactly the closest to you. Sure, you had moments where you’d talk to them, ask them how it’s going, and casually walk with them in Hogsmeade but not close enough to be an honorary member and tag along in their activities. So, it was a little uncomfortable for you to have them in your room as well. Nevertheless, you opened the door wide, and motioned for them to come in.
“Have a seat anywhere.” you welcomed them in.
“Thanks.” they all said in sync.
“You look nice.” Hermione spoke, “Going somewhere?”
“Yeah, Hogsmeade, with Draco. But it’s a tad bit early so I’m not leaving yet.”
“Excellent, because we were hoping to talk to you.” Harry said. He stood up from your chair and walked toward you slowly. He looked unsure of his actions but wanted to show you the level of importance of the conversation.
At the same time, Draco was walking towards your door, but quickly enough to hear a familiar voice just speak from your room. Thinking it was coming from the other room, he ignored it, but that voice… it was masculine, and really familiar. He slowly placed his ear on the door and started listening.
On the other side of the door, you started speaking again.
“Oh. Well, what is it Harry?”
Harry? Draco was angrily confused to hear Harry Potter in your room. Thinking it was just him and you alone, he was right about to storm in and scold Harry until another voice spoke.
“It’s about Draco!” Hermione said, rolling her eyes at Harry who took a mere three seconds to say his enemy’s name. “We wanted to talk to you about your relationship with Draco.”
“Oh,” you crossed your arms, “What about him and I?” you started sounding upset as you were quite aware of their standings with him. “I suppose you’re going to tell me how awful it is to be with him and that I should break up with him, don’t you?”
Hermione gave pitiful eyes as she thought you were reading a bit of her mind. She walked towards you and placed her hands on your shoulders and sighed. “We just want to know if he’s any way horrible to you, Y/N. This is Draco we’re talking about, he’s been nothing but vile and cruel to everyone in Hogwarts.”
“Yeah, and we’re just surprised that you wanted to date the most bloody evit git in school. Is it some arranged thing your parents have going on with his? We can help get you out of it.” Ron added.
Hearing all this monstrosity, Draco decided to put your relationship with him to the test and stay, as he was curious to what you would say next. He trusted you of course but he just wanted to hear your comments about this without him being exactly there.
Upset, you threw Hermione’s hands off your shoulders and jumped a step back from her, resulting in her doing the same thing. “Merlin’s beard!” you screamed. “You just never give him a chance, do you?”
“I-I don’t follow, Y/N.” Harry terrifyingly spoke.
“Being with Draco has been the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. You actually don’t know how much of an extremely loving, caring, and sweet person he can actually be because you always throw fights and awful things to him the second you see him. You know, when I first had the chance to interact with him last summer, I wasn’t even hesitant of avoiding him because I actually sensed that underneath his black suit, he was a great person to know more of and I’m lucky that I didn’t treat him the way you guys do because you know, people want to be treated the way they treat people. If I wanted respect, I gave him respect. He deserves love and comfort like anyone else in this entire world and I’m glad to be filling that empty part of his life that he’s been craving for.”
Right after your triumphant speech, Draco quickly rushed all the way to his dorm because as a matter of fact, he was starting to tear up and what better way to hide his softness from the entire school body than run back to his room to hopefully stop crying. But he couldn’t. It was really difficult for him to because throughout his entire life, he has never had somebody like you to defend him as a person. He really couldn’t believe he finally had someone like you in his life. If people knew how soft he was, he could have opened the door and started crying on his knees, telling you how much he loves you. But the stupid golden trio just had to be there, he thought.
“Oh,” Harry said. “Well, that was a surprise.”
“Yeah, he totally didn’t give her amortentia.” Ron joked, which only resulted in Hermione and you looking at him deadly. “What?” he innocently asked.
“I’m really sorry I had to lash out that way. It’s just-”
“No, we get it,” Hermione said, “I’m really glad he has someone. Maybe he can actually soften up in school. I hope you can keep it that way.” she smiled.
“Believe me, he’s really a soft person. But I think I can foresee him softening up in school, you just have to be around to see it.” you joked.
“Excellent, truly. You have to stay with him, Y/N, we’re counting on you to see a changed Malfoy over the years.” Harry smiled, giving you a small pat on the shoulder.
“Bet he’ll actually call you a friend by the end of our Hogwarts year?” you asked.
“Bloody hell, I’ll definitely keep my grades up in order to see that.” Ron looked at you with a surprise.
“See you around, Y/N.” Hermione said, giving you a small hug, only for you to give a bigger hug as she chuckled.
“Bye.” you said to them as they exited the room.
Well, that was quite a way to start the morning. All that lashing out got you to lay down in bed and actually forget about Hogsmeade for a second only to remember how you dressed up nicely for today. Standing up quickly, you started getting your gloves and ran out to Draco’s room immediately.
When you arrived at his door, you knocked twice, waiting for him to open the door. There was no response. So you tried again and knocked twice.
“Draco, it’s me. Y/N.”
The door immediately swung open as you saw Draco with slightly pink eyes and light bags under his eyes. Without hesitation, he pulled your waist for him to softly kiss you in the lips. As your lips and his were playing around, he wrapped his arms around you tighter, as he was trying not to forget this feeling of true love.
When he pulled back, you cupped his teary-eyed face with carefulness as you wiped a tear off his right eye. “Draco,” you cooed.
Having a hard time containing the emotions he was feeling, he embraced you with a bone-crushing hug, only for you to give him the same. You weren’t exactly sure why he was sobbing but he deserves a giant hug anyways. Giving him all the patience to speak up, he finally did, and it started out with a weak, “T-thank you.”
“For what, sweetheart?”
“For everything.”, he said, “"Thank you so much, for being in my life, and for being by my side, always.”
“Oh, Draco.” you said, rubbing his back, “You and me? This is forever.”

Ok so I decided to finally post the promised: defending Romione (🥺💗💕💖💞💘) against Dr*mione (ಠಿ_ಠ) shippers.
So I've read a few posts about Dr*mione shippers, talking about why their ship is amazing (which had nothing to do with canon btw) and bashing Ron (for no reason) and I'm literally shaking out of anger.
Here are my thoughts:
1. "Ron is too dumb for hermione"
Stop- Just-
Stop.
RON IS NOT DUMB.
Yes, he might not be very interested in school subjects, but 👏 that 👏 doesn't 👏 mean 👏 he 👏 is 👏 dumb 👏.
He is actually very smart! He beat McGonagall's chess game, he is logical and quick-thinking. There's MANY examples of this that I won't name right now, but it's a canonical fact. Ron. Is. Not. Dumb.
And consider he was dumb. So? Would that stop Romione from happening? NO! Hermione didn't mind Ron not being smart. She was just upset that Ron was lazy and wouldn't study anything until the last minute. She wanted to get both Harry and Ron to study according to a schedule.
Is it clear? Intelligence doesn't determine love.
**And this is something that confuses me. This doesn't have anything to do with the point, but why does nobody realize that Harry isn't much smarter than Ron? Yes, he was better at DADA but that requires TALENT, not intelligence. And I'm pretty sure we all know that Ron is talented as well (hopefully everyone realizes that). Nobody uses the fact that Harry wasn't intelligent against Harmione, but everyone uses the fact that Ron wasn't intelligent against Romione. The double standards tear apart the fandom.
2. "Ron bought hermione perfume and Draco could get her something better."
Soooo, you're saying that just because Ron didn't have the money that Draco had means that Hermione didn't deserve Ron?
Wow, this just says a lot about you dr*mione shippers. You only care about the money that Draco has, not his personality. You don't like Ron because he's poor (and I know how FanFics give the "kind Draco" Ron's canon personality so the only "problem" with Ron is his looks and lack of money). And you don't see Hermione nor Ron the way they are. This "point" of yours is literally stating that Hermione should be a gold-digger and get Draco because he can get her the expensive presents that she deserves. Yikes.
3. "Draco can understand the emotional side of Hermione while Ron can't."
Wait
What?
WHERE DO YOU GET THIS IDEA FROM-
Draco is only EVER concerned about his own self, he is a NARCISSIST. He would NEVER care for someone (let alone Hermione) as purely and truly as he cared about himself. He didn't even care about Crabbe, Goyle, Pansy Parkinson etc. He was selfish. The only reason he could express his emotions was because he had to go through a lot since he realized that killing Dumbledore wasn't as easy as bullying Hermione. This would never ever work.
And even if Ron didn't understand her as much, he STILL comforted her. Take the beginning chapters of The Deathly Hallows as an example. You'll see.
4. "Ron is too immature."
I need help.
Of course Ron was immature when he was 11!! Yes, he acted immaturely many times, yes, he made many mistakes, but guess what? He changed! He changed for Hermione!! Draco didn't change at all, not for Hermione, nor for anyone else. He remained the same bratty bully.
If you could reread the books and read prisoner of azkaban vs deathly hallows, you will definitely see how much Ron has matured. He doesn't argue with Hermione anymore, he comforts her, he's there for her. Yes, he made a mistake but he was manipulated by the horcrux! We don't blame Ginny for what tom riddle's diary made her do, do we? So stop blaming Ron!
Anyways, I think if dr*mione shippers have read the books, they'll know what I'm talking about when I say Ron changed for Hermione. I honestly don't know how you could miss Ron's character arc.
5. "Ron would be jealous of the brilliant Hermione."
What?
If I remember correctly, the reason Draco bullied the trio was because he was jealous of them. His jealousy turned into a 7 year torture for the trio and now you're saying that Ron is the jealous one? Please.
But anyways, Ron has been jealous of Harry and has made a few mistakes. But there are reasons behind them and I can defend him for each of these with arguments other than "everyone makes mistakes" (cough cough* Draco stans* cough cough).
First of all, Ron has admitted being jealous of Harry's fame because he lives with 5 older brothers who outshine him. But that's not really a mistake because he never let it get in his way. There were only 2 situations in 7 years when he left Harry out of jealousy but I think these have different explainations.
No1 Ron left in goblet of fire. I think the real reason that Ron let his jealousy get in his way this time, was not only because Harry got to participate in the tournament which could bring him eternal glory, but more likely because he was disappointed that his own best friend didn't even tell him that he was entering and didn't even help him participate (which wasn't true, but Ron thought so back then).
No2 Ron left in deathly hallows. This one was 100% because of the horcrux and I think we should all accept this by now and stop hating on Ron for being affected by dark magic.
And just like that, Ron never let his jealousy get in his way of friendships. I can't think of a situation where Ron is jealous of the brilliant Hermione so if you remember, please let me know so I can argue against it. <3
6. "Ron and Hermione would break up and remain friends, it's easy to imagine because they didn't have a strong relationship."
This was actually said, someone actually said this-
I'm just going to say that Ron and Hermione are happily married to this day (which definitely proves that their relationship is strong) and give the dr*mione community a moment of silence.
7. "Ron didn't do anything for Hermione and was just a jerk."
Coming from a person who has read and reread the books multiple times, I can assure you that Ron did many things for Hermione.
Of course, he was immature at first, he was mean to her, but slowly he started seeing more of the good in Hermione and started changing for her.
And even when he was immature, he still cared about Hermione and would protect her no matter what.
Let's remember how many times rubbish Ron stood up for Hermione against the brilliant bully Draco. 🥰
Let's remember how cowardly Ronald faced his fears of spiders to help Hermione (and the rest of the school, just how jerkier can he get?). 🥰
Let's remember how ridiculous Ronniekins stood up for Hermione against sensational Snape and got himself into detention (oh yes, this is the book version of the movie moment where Ron agrees with Snape about Hermione being an 'insufferable know-it-all'). 🥰
Let's remember how rotten Ronny comforted Hermione when she was worried about Hagrid and Buckbeak (and he even let her hug him and cry on his shoulder, how rude). 🥰
Let's remember how revolting Ronald sacrificed himself to save Harry and Hermione in the chess game. 🥰
Let's remember how horrendous Ron attempted to hex Draco when he used a slur that was meant to offend Hermione. 🥰
Keep in mind that all of these were done when Ron was still immature and still argued a lot with Hermione.
And these aren't even all.
8. "Ron and Hermione have a loveless marriage."
What the-
I'm sorry, I'm trying to be respectful here but this is crap. And the fact that the person said they also had "proof" from the c*rsed ch*ld but didn't want to spoil it-
As much as I hate the c*rsed ch*ld, I can tell you that it did its job portraying Ron and Hermione's unconditional love. Even in alternative realities, where they didn't get married, they were still in love.
And why would you even think that Ron and Hermione would marry and have kids if they didn't love each other? I need explainations.
Next.
9. "Ron never listens to Hermione."
I'm sorry, what? I'm genuinely confused??
What do you even mean by this? Yeah, they used to argue a lot, and? Ron thinks Hermione is brilliant and wonderful and he follows her advice. I can't recall a moment where Ron won't listen to Hermione, doesn't agree with her and ruins her plans. Anyone else?
Since this one is a big mess and a confusion, I'll move on to the next one until someone explains the points and arguments.
10. "Draco could make Hermione laugh while Ron couldn't."
....
Do I really need to say anything for this one?
Ron was the funniest one from the trio, that's why Harry enjoyed his company so much! Don't you remember the line in goblet of fire where Harry thinks about how much he misses having Ron as his best friend, because without him there's less fun and less laughs? I do.
But what I don't remember is finding Draco's sense of humor funny. I'm sorry but his intellectual level is almost as low as Crabbe and Goyle's. His insults are none other than Potty and Weaselbee, he only got 3 O.W.L.s and all of his jokes were stupid and dumb and their only purpose was insulting people he was jealous of.
These fanfics have rotten people's brains...😬
Anyways, I'm going to stop here. I've delayed this post for very long and I'm so excited to finally post it!
I read a book on wattpad by a dr*mione shipper and it was nothing but a giant headache. That's where I got all of these statements from. Most of the garbage in the book revolved around Draco and Hermione being inseparable and getting over all obstacles (wth) and other stupid stuff like that which really annoyed me. The book was called "why we love dr*mione" and it was by Bittenwizard. You can read and enjoy! Trust me, you'll have lots of content to post about after that 🤠👍
*I always try to be respectful to all ships, but sometimes some of them really anger me because the ships are either toxic or the arguments are plain trash. I'm sorry if I offend anyone.
Thank you for reading this. If you're a dr*mione shipper, I hope I've convinced you to give up the ship or come up with better arguments for it.
If you're an anti-dramione I hope you enjoyed the post. I'll delight you with more anti-toxic-ships content. :)
Thank you once again! <3

Introverted (Harry Potter x Reader)
Warnings: swearing
Summary- Y/n mostly keeps to herself apart from her best friends Neville and Hermione. Everyone else thinks she’s odd. Harry has a crush on her but doesn’t know how to talk to her, he has to figure that out himself.
Tumblr media
Y/n is a very quiet person, she doesn’t talk to many people. Neville Longbottom is her best friend, they became best friends through their shared interest of Herbology. Y/n loves to study plants and understand magical creatures, she’s muggleborn so all the different creatures and plants fascinate her.
Hermione Granger is one of her good friends, Hermione has always been kind to Y/n since they’re the only muggleborns in their year. They share a common interest in taking care of all magical creatures, specifically house elves. Y/n always thanks the kitchen elves at the end of the day for making the food.
Ginny Weasley was also her good friend, Ginny is the opposite of Y/n. Ginny is strong and confident, that’s why it works, although she’s younger than Y/n she’s still a good friend.
Which brings me to her last friend Luna Lovegood, although Luna has some ineteretsing and questionable ideas but she’s got some similar ideas to Y/n. Luna and Y/n go out to see the Thestrals and feed them. Y/n witnessed her older brother die when she was younger which was a factor to her being so quiet.
“Oi Harry, look out” Fred Weasley yells out getting your attention too, you see Harry put his elbow in his food, he smiles at you as you walk down the hall to find Neville at the Gryffindor table, you chuckle. “Good one mate” Ron says “That was so awkward” George says “More like painful to watch. What’s your obsession with her anyway?” Fred asks “Shes beautiful and she is so smart and kind, she’s always looking out for someone else.” “You should talk to her” Hermione suggests “No way, I can’t talk to girls” “You talk to plenty of girls” “I’m not interested in them at all, I could never talk to Y/n.” “Shes the least intimidating person at Hogwarts” “It would be like talking to a wall” Fred says and everyone laughs “Actually, Y/n is very interesting, she’s got a lot to say if you make an effort to talk to her” Hermione says.
Y/n takes a seat next to Neville and Luna, it’s sometimes quite awkward for Y/n around Luna and Neville. Neville confessed his feelings for Luna to me and I’m pretty sure Luna fancies him too. “Hi guys” “Hi Y/n, do you want to come to the greenhouse with me after school?” “Yeah okay, that will be fun, what about you Luna?” “I’ve got some studying to do, thank you Y/n” she smiles.
Later that day, Neville goes back to his dorm to grab some of his Herbology books. “Neville, where are you going?” Harry asks “To the greenhouse with Y/n then we are going to the lake” “Oh, Y/n?” “Yeah” “Right, see you later then” “Bye Harry.” Neville was confused as to why Harry was suddenly interested in what he was doing but he let it go and met Y/n at the greenhouse.
“Hermione! You have to take me to The Great Lake” Harry jumps onto the couch in the common room “What? Why do I have to take you and why do you want to go there?” “Because if I go Y/n won’t talk to me, she talks to you and you can introduce us.” She sighs “You’re lucky I want to talk to Y/n.”
Harry and Hermione follow Neville and Y/n from afar and once they’re settled at the lake, Hermione and Harry go to them. “Hey Y/n” Hermione sits next to her under a tree, while Neville is in the water. “Oh hi Hermione, hi Harry” you give Harry a smile “You know my name?” He asks and she chuckles “Yes, you’re Harry Potter, everyone knows you” Harry blushes “Oh yeah, right.” Hermione and Y/n talk when there’s a splash, Neville falls underwater. Y/n can’t stop laughing, she laughs uncontrollably while trying to help Neville “That wasn’t funny Y/n” Neville says soaked in water “I’m so sorry Neville I can’t stop laughing.” Harry smiles, her laugh is contagious, hearing her laugh is music to his ears.
“Well we better leave you guys to whatever you were doing before” Hermione says “Bye Hermione, bye Harry. It was nice talking to you both” Y/n smiles at Harry, he smiles back and waves goodbye. “What was that?” Neville asks “What?” “That smile, I know you better than anyone else, do you fancy Harry?” “N-no!” “Yes you do.” “Fine yes I do” “You do know he is the chosen one and everything”’ “If you’re insinuating I have no chance with him, trust me I know. He’s cute though” “I didn’t mean it like that” “You did but that’s okay.”
The next morning Y/n goes to the great hall for breakfast. “Good morning, Harry, Good morning Hermione!” Y/n smiles and waves. Harry has a mouthful of pumpkin juice and spits it all over Ron “Mate! You can’t be serious” Ron snaps at Harry giving him a push but he’s focused on Y/n as she gives Neville a hug good morning. He doesn’t understand how Neville got so lucky.
Y/n had noticed how clumsy Harry was, he’d be tripping over his own feet all the time and he has ran into many poles. One time he brought Ron down with him, Ron wasn’t very happy, you chuckled each time Hermione got annoyed at Harry and helped him up.
“Oi Harry, Y/n is downstairs in the common room talking to Hermione, maybe you should go talk to her and make your move.” Ron says “I can’t talk to her, you know I can’t, I always fall over or I run into walls, people and poles not to mention I stutter and stumble over my words.” “You fancy Y/n?” Neville asks “Neville! I forgot you were in here, please don’t tell Y/n” Harry begs. “How long have you fancied Y/n?” “Since the end of last year” Ron says “Ron!” “What? He’s going to know anyway.” “You should talk to her Harry” Neville says “Does she even like me?” “Yes, she thinks your funny, every time you fall down she can’t stop laughing” “She does?” Harry’s eyes light up. “On your first challenge she couldn’t watch, she was so nervous for you” “Neville why haven’t you mentioned any of this before?” “I didn’t know you fancied her.”
Harry gets the courage to talk to Y/n. He goes downstairs and sits in the middle of her and Hermione. After getting assurance from Neville, Harry made an effort to get to know Y/n and they started hanging out more than her and Neville did. He always got her into the Gryffindor common room and she always got him into the Hufflepuff common room. The two of them would always flirt with each other, neither of them could tell though.
Y/n takes him down to the lake to watch the water “Y/n, I want to ask you something” “What is it?” “Well actually I have two things to ask.” “Tell me already, Harry!” “Well I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the Yule ball with me” “Yes, I would love to, I thought I’d be going with Neville but he already asked Ginny. What’s the other one?” “Umm so I have fancied you for a while and just recently I got to know you. So I wanted to know if you wanted to be my girlfriend?” “Is this a joke?” “No” “I fancy you too Harry, I will be your girlfriend.” Harry kisses your lips, his soft lips on yours, you put your hand on his cheek, you pull away breathless. “Sorry, I have been waiting to do that for a while” “That was my first kiss” you admit “It was? I should’ve made it more special, I’m sorry” “No, I wouldn’t want it any other way, I like spontaneous.”
Word spread quickly, how could it not? Harry is dating a muggleborn hufflepuff, Y/n is quite mysterious which made it all the more interesting. Y/n found it confronting when people would come up to ask her about her relationship. “Hey, mudblood” Draco calls out from behind Y/n, she turns around out of curiosity “Yeah you, Potter’s girl” Y/n felt a jab in the heart. Draco has never talked to her before, he’s never even insulted her and now he is calling her a mudblood. Y/n was hoping Harry would be there soon, they agreed on meeting outside the library to study.
Y/n took a deep breath in as Malfoy and his friends confronted her “Who are you, mudblood?” “M-my name is Y-Y/n” “Are you new?” “N-no! I was always a-at this sc-school” “You got a stutter too? Potter is dating some loser mudblood Hufflepuff with a stutter” “I-I don’t usually have it.” His friends started laughing Thats when Harry appeared by her side. “Leave her alone” Harry stands in front of Y/n, the Slytherin’s go away and Harry hugs Y/n while she cries. “I’m so sorry I didn’t get here earlier” he kisses the top of her head “They’re assholes who know they can get a reaction out of you.” “I don’t want to study anymore” you mumble “That okay, where do you want to go?” “Your dorm.”
Harry takes her to his dorm, he gives her a hoodie of his to wear and she cries on his bed, Harry hated hearing her cry. “You don’t deserve this, you’re the most amazing person at this school” “I’ve never been called a mudblood before” “Because you’re not, your blood isn’t dirty, you’re lucky, you have both worlds, magical and muggle” “I guess so” she smiles. “That’s so much better, I love your smile.”
Hermione, Ginny and Y/n go dress shopping for the Yule ball. “Harry is going to instantly fall in love with you when he sees you in this” Ginny says. Y/n spins around in the dress. It’s a blue flowy off the shoulder dress. We walk back to Hogwarts, Hermione gets Y/n into the Gryffindor common room. Harry gets up as soon as he sees her. “Did you get a dress?” He asks giving her a hug “Yes, I did” “You’re going to love it” Hermione says “She looks so beautiful in it” Ginny agrees.
Harry takes Y/n down to their spot, the Great Lake under the tree they first officially met at. “I’m excited for this ball” Y/n says “Me too, I’m excited to see how beautiful you look. Harry gets up off the ground and puts his hand up for Y/n to take “May I have this dance, Y/n?” “You may.” Harry and Y/n had been practising since Harry asked Y/n, they were both very clumsy and not very good at dancing but they tried.
Harry spins Y/n around and almost let’s go of her hand but he catches her and kisses her. “I caught you” he mumbles close to her lips “You did” she leans up and kisses him again.
The day of The Yule Ball was stressful. Hermione let Y/n get ready in her dorm with her dorm mates. She did Y/n’s hair and makeup. Y/n did Hermione’s. Y/n walked with Hermione. Y/n caught eyes with Harry as soon as she walked down the first step. Harry looked so handsome, Y/n found herself wondering how the hell she is dating Harry Potter. “I can’t even speak properly right now, you look so incredibly beautiful” “Harry you look the most handsome in this room” he pecks her lips and McGonagal rushes over to the both of them. “Get ready for the first dance” neither Harry or Y/n knew they would be dancing in front of everyone. Y/n wasn’t good with attention and lately she’d been getting a lot. “Hey, look at me the whole time we are dancing, it will be just like we practised in your dorm.”
Harry and Y/n walk out together, Y/n felt like she was transported back in time to all the times they practised together. Harry stepped on her feet many times but she laughed it off. They danced the whole night, sticking to slow dancing where possible. “I want you to know that I’ve had the best night in a very long time” he whispers into her ear leaving a kiss on her cheek.

Let Me See It
Tumblr media
A/N: So this is my very first Harry Potter imagine ever (it is, in fact, my very first fanfic ever). I’ve got a few things to say before we start. First, if anyone read the very long rant I wrote the other day (my first Tumblr post ever lol), I haven’t read all the books yet and I haven’t watched all the movies either. I’m currently on the third book. Why would I write a sixth year Draco imagine when I have virtually no canon idea about it? Well, my friends, I’ve read a lot of fanfiction and imagines about it so I kind of have all the main plot points and I wanted to give it a go. It’s absolutely self indulgent. Hopefully once I’ve finished all of the books my writing gets better. Also, English is not my first language, so if you find any mistakes, please tell me and I’ll correct it :) I hope it’s not too bad and I really hope you like it.
Details:
Draco Malfoy x Reader (She/her pronouns...If this goes right I’ll try my best to write gender neutral as well).
Word count: 1529
Summary: The reader is Harry’s friend and in a secret sort of relationship with Draco. She is the one who’s hit by the sectumsempra spell and wakes up in the hospital wing to an angsty/fluffy situation.
Warnings: my terrible writing, some angst, some fluff, perhaps a lot of wordiness, sectumsempra, soft Draco.
When (Y/N) woke up, she felt as though she had been drowning and could finally take a breath. Her whole body ached and her chest felt tender in the worst of ways, open even. Engrossed in the sensations, she didn’t pay much attention to her surroundings at first. Then she felt the raspy fabric of the infirmary’s bed and it all came back to her. The commotion in the bathroom, spells casted and dodged, the water gushing from the broken sinks, Moaning Myrtle’s shrieks…even remembering it gave her a headache.
When Harry had rushed to the girl’s bathroom, (Y/N) had been quick to follow him. When she got there, her best friend was already casting spells towards the boy she fancied. Draco seemed distraught. He was dishevelled and unkempt. He had grown thin and he was so pale that the bags under his eyes stood out. Shaking as he held his wand, he looked as though he was in the midst of a panic attack.
(Y/N) had noticed all of this, of course. Whenever they met he’d brush it off by telling her he was going through something rough. She had an idea of what it might have been, she had discussed it countless times with Harry (Ron and Hermione would usually dismiss them when they brought the topic up). So, when they had their secret rendezvous in the Astronomy Tower, she’d hold him as he cried. They’d talk about dreams and interests. They’d imagine different futures together. Sometimes they’d snog. Shyly or passionately, it’d feel wonderful until he’d tell her how it was dangerous for her, how he carried baggage she didn’t deserve. They weren’t a couple, but they certainly were past the “friends” category.
Seeing him standing there, standing helplessly against a sink, (Y/N) felt her heart shatter. She had to do something. Fast.
Draco wasn’t even thinking at the moment, casting spells left and right and making sure none of Potter’s hit him. Conjuring the first thing that came to mind, he was about to cast an unforgivable when he saw her, his beautiful (Y/N), standing wide eyed just a few steps away from Potter. He was about to tell her to leave when the scene unfolded in front of his eyes as if in slow motion. He saw (Y/N) running towards him, pushing him out of the way as Potter casted a spell he had never heard of. He heard her name leave Potter’s lips in a sob when she was hit. He saw her fall, lifeless, as her blood poured from her chest. He saw him running towards her, taking her in his arms. It all seemed unreal.
Then he heard Potter sobbing, babbling, begging her to wake up: “(Y/N/N), (Y/N/N) please, open your eyes. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry”.
He held her to his chest. And Draco, enraged and panicked, ran towards both of them.
“What did you do, Potter? Fix it, fix it I am begging you,” he pleaded as he tried to take (Y/N) from his arms.  She was growing paler by the minute, her uniform soaked in so much blood it made Draco sick.
“Don’t touch her, death eater,” he spat as he rocked her back and forth in his chest and sobbed.
“Fix it!” he barked.
“I…I don’t know how,” babbled Harry, holding even tighter to his best friend.
They both looked at her helplessly, hoping for a miracle. Guilt-ridden, Draco started sobbing as well. He fancied her. Merlin, he could even swear he loved her. She saw the good in him when nobody else had bothered to even try. She overlooked how nasty he had been to her friends and even to her in the past. She showed him the meaning of true friendship, opened her heart to him to give him nothing but love and care. By her side, he started considering different ways of conceiving the world. She believed in him as he evolved into a person who hated everything the mark under on his left forearm meant. In the last year and a half, (Y/N) had become the person he probably cared for the most (apart from his parents, if the Dark Mark was a testament to something). Now she was there, bleeding on the cold, wet floor of Myrtle’s bathroom as the two boys and the ghostly girl sobbed for her.
After what seemed like hours, the miracle did come…in the form of Professor Snape. He quickly chanted a counter spell he had never heard of either. Draco concluded his aunt Bellatrix wasn’t a very good teacher as she was the one who taught him every Dark spell he knew. With one icy glare, Snape got Harry to let go of (Y/N) and took her to the hospital wing. Both boys followed behind him, their bloodied clothes alarming the whole school.
Three days later, both of them were still there, glaring at each other, waiting for (Y/N) to wake up. There were times when Draco thought she’d stay in her stupor forever. He buried his face in his hands, feeling empty and guilty, until he heard a gasp. She had woken up.
Draco rushed from his seat and took her hand. Harry had done just the same. As she squeezed both their hands, Draco and Harry shared a sigh.
“I am so sorry, (Y/N/N). I didn’t – “
“Don’t even start, Harry. I’ll scold you later,” (Y/N) interrupted. Even though she felt tired, (Y/N)’s voice had a bit of playfulness in it, which humoured Harry and brought warmth into Draco’s heart. (Y/N) gave Harry a meaningful look; her way of telling him she needed to talk to the Slytherin in private. He gave her a curt nod, not very convinced, but still let go of her hand.
“I’ll come later with Ron and ‘Mione,” he said.
Draco gave him a thankful nod as Harry closed the curtain around them. His heart was pounding hard as silence engulfed them again. Their eyes met. He felt relieved that she was with him, but also uneasy and guilty. (Y/N)’s eyes travelled to his left arm. She swallowed hard.
“Let me see it,” she said, her voice devoid of emotion.
Draco held his breath. His eyebrows furrowed in sorrow. He didn’t put up a fight when (Y/N) took his arm and gently pushed his sleeve up. (Y/N) knew what she would probably find under the sleeve. She thought she was prepared. And, of course, she wasn’t. She gasped loudly as she saw the black snake protruding from a skull’s mouth. She looked at the blond Slytherin, feeling the pain and disappointment seeping from her gaze, as well as a couple of tears. He didn’t meet her eyes. He was ashamed. The guilt, the pain, and the self-hatred were eating him up.
(Y/N) saw a few tears silently slipping from his eyes and her heart broke again. Draco sobbed. He was certain he had lost her now.
“I am so sorry, (Y/N/N). They made me do it. I had no choice…He’s going to kill my parents and I can’t –,” his pathetic little apology was cut short by his sobs. He was certain he was a bad person, but having to hold himself accountable in front of the one person that truly saw him for who he was felt unbearable.
He felt (Y/N)’s fingers gently caressing the dreadful mark. He mustered all of his courage to look at her and found a sympathetic expression that made him feel better. She pulled him to her and he gave her a hug. Draco started crying again.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. This is all my fault,” he cried, bringing her closer to his chest as though she could disappear any minute.
She pushed him just a little, enough to allow her hands to travel to his face and clean his tears with her thumbs.
“Shh, Dray. Don’t cry. I know that mark isn’t you. I trust it isn’t you. I know you wouldn’t join them on your own volition,” she soothed.
(Y/N) made room for him on her bed and he slither in, careful not to hurt her in any way. He buried his face on (Y/N)’s neck as she whispered sweet nothings in his ear. She caressed his hair gently as Draco sniffled. He was still heavyhearted, but she felt like home and it made his heart swell.
“Dray”
“Yes?”
She thought about making him promise to make it right, to fight by her side. But she felt tired. Her body still ached. And, regardless of the circumstances, snuggling up to him felt wonderful. So, she closed her eyes and blurted out the first thing that came to her mind.
“I love you,” she said almost inaudibly. Draco was so close he heard alright. He couldn’t believe she had actually said those three words for the first time under the circumstances. He didn’t hesitate to answer back.
“I love you too, (Y/N/N)”.
When Madam Pomfrey came around and opened the curtain, she found both (Y/N) and Draco fast asleep. Draco’s face was very close to (Y/N)’s neck. One of her hands was still buried in his platinum hair. And they looked so peaceful, the healer could only close the curtain and let them rest.

SUMMARY: Mae has been in love with Draco Malfoy since her first year at Hogwarts. Draco Malfoy fell in love with Mae in their fourth year, and then promptly fell into Pansy’s bed instead. All the while, Mae clings to the hope that Draco will change. That is, until, Ron Weasley takes his chance.
PAIRINGS: toxic!Draco x OC, Ron x OC, Ginny x Luna
im not sure that I like how this turned out, but hopefully you all enjoy it! I was very surprised I got so much positive feedback on that little one shot i posted. thank you all for the love!
also, let me know if you want to be on the taglist for the next part.
Tumblr media
Perhaps it was her conversation with Ginny the previous night, or perhaps it was because she felt so hollow inside, but Mae resolved herself on confronting Draco. Of course, he didn’t make things easy for her. He never did.
“Pansy and Draco are sitting awfully close, aren’t they?” Blaise said conversationally, taking a sip of his morning coffee. Full of cream, three sugars. As always.
Mae eyed Draco and Pansy warily, noting the way Pansy laughed into Draco, her hand seeming to move onto his leg although it was hidden from the table. “They’re just friends.”
“Rubbish,” scoffed Blaise harshly, stabbing an egg. “You’re much smarter than that, love.”
Pansy took that moment to brush Draco’s hair out of his face, and something broke inside Mae as Draco caught her hand in his own, bringing her knuckles to his lips and ghosting a kiss across them.
“It’s none of your business though, innit?” snapped Mae, slamming her glass of pumpkin juice down so harshly it brought the attention of the entire half of their table, including Draco and Pansy. “If Draco wants to fuck a slut, let him.”
Blaise choked on his eggs, slamming a fist into his chest as he attempted to swallow. Draco tilted his head, a sneer on his face, while Pansy began hurling insults at Mae.
“Perhaps if you weren’t a filthy half-blood, Draco would be more interested. He wants a real woman.” Pansy declared wickedly, her lips lifted up in a snarl.
“A real woman with real STDs, hm?” retorted Mae, standing up from the table. “Everyone knows you fucked Theodore Nott last week, and he had to go to Madam Pomfrey from whatever you gave him!”
The part about Pansy fucking Theodore Nott was true, although the STD part was not. But Mae was so angry, so fed up with how the both of them were treating her, that she couldn’t contain it anymore. At this point, most of the Great Hall had caught sight of what was happening, although the teachers at least pretended to be oblivious. She caught sight of Ginny grinning at her encouragingly.
“I’m going to be honest with you, because no one else will,” Draco said the words slowly, casually, as though he were speaking of the weather. “Anyone who says they’re interested in you, beyond just fucking you, is a liar.”
Mae felt her cheeks burn, as the Slytherin table began laughing and oohing under their breath, and she rushed out of the Great Hall. She heard footsteps behind her, but she ignored them, until someone tugged harshly on her arm, the rings on his fingers alerting her to who it was.
“Why?” demanded Mae, turning around with unshed tears. An amused Draco stood in front of her, looming over her. “Why do you do this to me?”
Perhaps the question caught him off guard, because Draco replied with “I don’t know.”
Mae let out a strangled sob, wiping her hands harshly down her face. “I just want to be the one you love.”
“Oh darling,” Draco said the words softly, reaching out to caress her cheek. Mae closed her eyes for a moment, and she could pretend everything was fine. “I’ll never love you.”
With those words, Draco shoved her jaw harshly, causing a loud popping noise to sound as pain reverberated through the lower half of her face.
“I’m breaking up with you.” Mae said the words first, opening her eyes to see Draco actually looking.. Hurt, by her words.
“Took you long enough.”
Mae looked to see Ginny heading her way, her hand intertwined with Luna’s, with the Golden trio, Pansy, and Blaise following close behind.
“We would have never made it anyways.” Draco responded quietly, and Mae felt a bit vindicated to see that he appeared to feel at least partially upset.
“That’s your fault.” her voice shook, but Mae said the words passionately.
“How?” he had the nerve to sound incredulous, and Mae balled up her fists as tears of anger came to her eyes.
“You always cheated on me with Pansy! You treated me like I was your pet, like you could keep fucking around without any care for my feelings!” the words she had been keeping in for so long burst out, and she felt a rush of vindication that she finally got to say them aloud.
Draco scoffed, and any hope of him apologizing or fighting for her went out the window. “You really think I give a shit about you? It’s your loss, Callisto.” he sneered her last name, looking over his shoulder to see the others approaching them.
Mae’s eyes hardened, hatred growing as Pansy ran pathetically over to Draco. “Your whore’s here.”
Pansy rolled her eyes. “Sorry you don’t know how to keep a man.”
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be Callisto,” Draco drawled out, slinging an arm over Pansy. “Nobody likes a slut that doesn’t understand when her time is up.”
“What did you just say?” Ron Weasley was the last person Mae expected to speak to Draco after he said those words.
Draco scoffed. “You heard me, Weas-”
Before Draco could get the full word out, Ron’s fist collided with Draco’s delicate features. Mae’s eyes widened as Ron wound his fist back once more, knocking Draco flat on his back. Pansy started screaming, and Blaise started laughing.
“Blaise, help him!” Pansy shrieked, slapping a hand to her mouth in horror.
Blaise sighed, rolling his eyes. He gave Mae a quick look, (perhaps in an apology?) before he gave Ron a swift kick to his stomach. Ron stumbled backwards, falling on his bottom, and Draco lay on the ground clutching his bruised and bloody face.
Pansy promptly threw herself down onto Draco, and Blaise stood there with his arms crossed as though he were just waiting for the show to be over. Mae, on the other hand, had nothing left to say to Draco, and turned her attention to Ron, who had just gotten off the floor with the help of Harry.
“Thank you,” the words were quiet, but sincere. Ron nodded to her, his eyes not wavering from hers.
“He’s not worth it, yeah?” said Ron, shaking his bruised knuckles. “He never deserved you.’
Mae, suddenly flooded with emotion, just shook her head, and with tears burning in her eyes, she left the scene behind her.
--=--
The hardest thing was seeing Draco be so openly affectionate with Pansy. It broke her, each time she entered the common room to see her sitting on his lap. Getting a kiss on the cheek. A hug. A tender embrace. It burned like hell.
So, she began spending less time in the common room. She began joining Luna and Ginny on their outings, normally in the astronomy tower, and at some point, the Golden Trio started joining them. It became a routine, the six of them hanging out in either the tower or the library, if Hermione got her way.
On the bright side, her grades had never been better.
A month after the incident with Draco, Mae found herself feeling the wound particularly harshly. She paced outside the Gryffindor common room, hoping to find Ginny coming out of the portrait hole. Instead, she got Ron Weasley, who didn’t seem all too surprised to find her out there.
“You alright?” Ron asked awkwardly, halfway in the doorframe and halfway out.
Mae shook her head silently, her chest aching. “Not really.”
“How ‘bout we take a way, yeah?” suggested Ron, stepping out of the portrait hole. It swung shut loudly behind him.
Mae shrugged her shoulders, and together they walked in silence. They had no clear destination in mind, and Mae found she felt slightly better having his company around her. Ron, she had found, had a fairly dry sense of humor and it was ever so easy to laugh around him. Sometimes, the others didn’t quite understand the joke, but Mae always did. His humor was similar to hers, if she could just find it again.
“I always wondered,” Ron broke their silence, stopping to sit on a ledge overlooking the black lake. “If the squid really existed.”
“Oh, it does,” Mae assured Ron, hopping up on the opposite side of the stone ledge, wrapping her robe tightly around herself. “Sometimes in the common room, we get to see it swim by.”
Ron’s eyes flashed with admiration. “Wicked.”
“I suppose it might be a bit more exciting than overlooking the grounds,” Mae said the words pretentiously, sniffing as she hid a grin from Ron. “We get to see the inside of the black lake, while you boring Gryffindors just get landscape.”
“At least during winter we haven’t got to sleep under ten blankets just to get by,” protested Ron, bringing a hand up to brush his hair out of his face. “Then again, you might just have an iron deficiency.”
Mae’s eyes widened. “That’s a big word for Ronald Weasley.”
“Hermione mentioned it!” defended Ron, moving his hands as he spoke. “She’s the one who suggested you go to Madam Pomfrey for it! You’re always freezing!”
“It’s a perk of being damaged goods, I suppose.” Mae said the words without much thought, as she had gotten distracted by Ron’s rather large hands moving around.
Ron went still, and he gave Mae a confused look. “Damaged goods?”
Mae’s feelings of inadequacy came back, and she felt the stinging of tears hit her eyes. She tried to play it off, giving a weak laugh. “Well, yeah, what else would you call me?”
“Beautiful,” the word rolled off Ron’s tongue rather quickly, as though he hadn't had to think about it at all.
Tears slipped out of her eyes as Mae processed his words. How could anyone think she was beautiful? Couldn’t he see how damaged she was? Draco had used her up and thrown her out, and no one else would ever want his seconds. He had told her that many times.
“Don’t,” the words came out wet and wobbly. “Don’t lie to me.”
Ron was rarely serious, but he completely focused on her as he reached out to grab her hand in his large one. “Mae, why would I lie about that?”
The tears came freely now, and she could feel a sob building up in her chest. “Ronald Weasley, don’t you dare sit there and lie to me! Don’t fucking sit there, and tell me I’m beautiful, because I’m not. I’m used up and I’m damaged, I will never be anything beyond that!”
Before she could protest, Ron had pulled her into a hug, engulfing her small frame in his large one. Mae had forgotten what it was like to be embraced like this, and she buried her head into Ron’s wide chest as she cried. In the back of her mind, she understood that was likely having a panic attack.
“Calm down Mae,” Ron held her close, caressing her hair. “You’ll be alright.”
They sat like that, until Mae’s cries subsided and she took a shaky breath, pulling out of Ron’s embrace. She was suddenly embarrassed that she had overreacted as she did, and a blush stained her wet cheeks.
“‘M sorry about that,” mumbled Mae, wiping her cheeks roughly. “I didn’t mean to make you all soggy.”
Ron laughed at that. “Why would I complain, a beautiful girl cried on me today. Sounds like a win to me!”
Mae hit Ron on his arm for that, a small laugh coming out of her as well. If anything, Ron Weasley knew how to switch the mood. “Don’t be a prat, Weasley.”
Ron’s eyes crinkled in the corners as he tossed his head back in a loud bout of laughter, and Mae found herself staring at his full lips. Really, how had she not noticed how perfectly shaped Ron’s lips were before? And Merlin, how were his teeth so straight and white?
As quickly as she began admiring Ron Weasley, images of silver hair and grey eyes flashed through her mind, and she shut her eyes and swallowed hard. There would never be Draco and Mae, that much was clear. It did not do to dwell on things that would never change.
“Imagine leaving me for a Weasley.”
Mae’s stomach dropped as she saw Draco swaggering towards her and Ron, Blaise close behind him. She hated how she still got butterflies as he eyed her appraisingly, before sneering at Ron.
“Shut it, Malfoy.” snapped Ron, his ears growing pink as he dug in his robes for his wand.
“Oh,” whistled Draco, drawing out the vowel. “Weaselbee is going to show off how big of a man he is. Trust me, Weasel, been there, done that. I’m the best she’ll ever have had.”
“Tell me Malfoy, you ever been hexed so hard you had to fight for your life?” snarled Ron, standing before the silver haired boy and brandishing his wand.
Mae quickly got down from the stone ledge, standing in between Draco and Ron, placing a hand on both of their chests. “Both of you, stop it!”
Ron’s jaw clenched, and he didn’t lower his wand. Draco smirked at the sight of her hand on his chest, his eyes flicking down at it before backup to look her in the eyes.
“Stop looking at me like that,” Mae said the words firmly, glaring at Draco. “We aren’t together anymore. Stop acting like this.”
“Doesn’t mean I can’t fight little Weaselbee.” drawled Draco, flexing his fingers on his wand. “I still had you first.”
“And I fucking left you!” shouted Mae, shoving Draco back from her and Ron. “Get that through your thick skull, and go back to Pansy. The bitch you always cheated on me with!”
“You said you loved me.” Draco said the words softly, bitterly, so quickly that Mae almost didn't catch it.
For a moment, it felt as though it were just the two of them, Draco and Mae, just as it should have been.
Mae stepped back, away from Draco, away from Ron. Her mouth twitched, her eyes grew wet, and she was at a loss for words. She turned then, and hurried out of the courtyard.
How dare he do this to her.

Comfort (Part 3)
George Weasley x Reader, Draco Malfoy x Reader
Summary: Draco has a way of messing with your head and making you question everything, and it hurts just like it did when you were still together. George is there for you through it all, and just hopes that that is enough.
Words: 1607
A/N: You can find Part 1 and Part 2 to ‘Comfort’ here!
"You got a minute?" You heard Draco's voice but hesitated for a moment before meeting his eyes. You were speechless, not having expected him to actually confront you like this.
"Just ignore him," You could hear George whisper, and you instantly. became aware that his larger hands were still wrapped around yours. Draco had seemed to notice that, too.
"Come on, Y/N. Just a quick chat," The blonde said, his eyes flickering between the way George was holding your hands and your gaze. "Or won't your loverboy let you?" He snidely commented, raising his eyebrows.
"No need to be rude if all you want is a simple chat," You retorted, nevertheless letting go of George and standing up from where you had been sitting. "You only get five minutes, Malfoy. Better have something good to tell me," You did your best to sound self-assured, but your knees felt weak as you followed Draco outside.
As you turned around to your friends to mouth that you'd be back soon, you noticed George looking down at his now empty hands with a look you couldn't quite place.
You didn't even know what exactly had made you go outside with Draco, but you chose to blame it on wanting to put him in his place for his snide remark.
"What do you want?" You barked at him, all the hurt you had been feeling in the past weeks turning you defensive around him.
"Calm down, darling." He responded, his tone almost smug, "Don't worry, I won't keep you away from your Weasley boy for too long."
You were aware that he only wanted to get under your skin with these type of comments, which made it even worse when he managed to succeed. Even though you knew Draco better than that, and therefore also knew that he was only trying to mask his own vulnerability with his smugness, it still annoyed you.
"First of all, he's not my boy or anything like that. Not that it's any of your business." You shot back, "And secondly, you're one to talk. Don't act like I didn't see you with Pans-"
"You're not with Weasley?" Draco stopped you before you could finish your sentence, his face as hard to read as always. For a second, it seemed like he was honestly surprised.
"No, I am not with George," You explained, your voice a bit calmer now. "Or anyone else, for that matter." You added, "But like I said, that's not any of your business. Not anymore."
"Oh," Draco only responded, instinctively matching your softer tone of voice. He remained quiet after that, appearing to be lost in thought before your words snapped him out of it.
"Oh?" You repeated, questioning his unusual reaction and sudden change of demeanour. "I don't get why you're so interested in my relationships in the first place. You broke up with me. And you're with Pansy now, anyway."
"I- yes, Pansy- but-" Draco stumbled on his words, which wasn't exactly typical for him. You wondered what had gotten into him all of the sudden. But it was only a moment later that he had his guard up again, and was back to the mean side of him he always presented whenever he wasn't able to show his true feelings and intentions. "Pansy's just some random fling to me. It isn't serious, just some fun."
"Does she know that's how you feel?" You narrowed your eyes at him, "Or are you just leading her on like you did to me?"
"It's nothing like what I had with you." Draco's voice was still serious, but you noticed his eyes softening as he spoke, "I didn't lead you on, Y/N. I never meant to,"
"So telling me you love me one day, then breaking up with me the next isn't leading me on?" You objected, and you could see that Draco wanted to respond, but you didn't let him. . "You didn't even bother to tell me why you left, and honestly, that's the worst part. You didn't grant me any closure." Your voice began to break, but you needed to get this off your chest, "It's been two months and I still can't properly move on-"
"Is that what you want?" Draco interrupted you, his hand instinctively reaching out to your shoulder to try and comfort you in some way. You backed away abruptly, though.
"What?" You asked, not understanding what he was getting at.
"Is that what you want," He repeated softly, taking a step to close the distance between you two. This time, you didn't back away, "you want to move on from me?"
"I- Draco, yes-" Now you were stumbling on your words, trying to organise your thoughts. He was so close now, the familiar scent of his cologne in your nose and his hot breath on your skin. You were suddenly painfully aware of the cold winter air around the two of you, and couldn't help but crave his warmth. "Of course I want that. You should want that." Your voice was back to merely a whisper now, but you weren't less angry.
"What if I don't want that?" Draco asked, and you were honestly baffled. The familiar feeling of being close to him had drawn you in for a moment, but this snapped you out of it.
"Is this some sort of game to you?" You fumed, backing away from him with an abrupt movement, "First you break up with me, and hurt me by parading around with someone else, then try to guilt-trip me into not moving on?"
"Y/N, that's not true and you know it." He spat back, anger written across his face again.
"How would I know though, Draco? Because it sure does look like that right now," You couldn't help the tears that were starting to run down your face, and Draco noticed them, too. Even if he did care about it, he didn't let it show.
"Bloody hell, you just don't get it, do you, Y/N?" The blond snapped, turning his back on you and starting to walk away, "Just forget it. I'm out of here."
He had always been explosive, especially during fights, never quite letting his vulnerable side show for long. You had caught glimpses of it here and there during your relationship with him, and there was a point in which Draco had even trusted you to the point of starting to open up completely. Looking back on it, that had been shortly before your break-up. You had always wondered about the timing of that.
"This is so bloody messed up, Malfoy," You yelled before he was out of reach, tears now flowing down your face with no use of stopping them. You had tried to be patient with him, always, but you couldn't take it anymore.
Your yelling must have caused quite the commotion, as your friends came storming out of the Three Broomsticks just a few seconds later.
"You alright, Y/N?" George's voice was the first one you heard, "We heard your voice and-" He stopped as you turned around to him, and he noticed the tears falling down your cheeks. The redhead stepped towards you immediately, engulfing you in his strong arms.
You let yourself collapse into his hug, hard sobs escaping your mouth as he tightened his grip around you. Just like with Draco, his scent was familiar. You had spent countless late nights with the twin, just laughing and talking until you were both so tired you fell asleep in each other's arms. You had never thought much of it, and even if your heart did race at times when he pulled you close, why would that be anything but a friendly sentiment?
"Let's leave them alone for the moment," Hermione whispered to the others who had also followed the sound of your yelling outside, and Fred, Ron, and Harry joined her as she went back into the pub.
Neither George nor you were paying attention to what was happening around you, so you didn't even notice them sneaking back in to give you privacy. Your sobs were beginning to get softer, and the tears started to slowly stop as George ran his fingers soothingly up and down your back.
He knew it would be pointless to ask you what had happened while you were in this state, so he didn't bother you with those questions. George knew you would explain sooner or later, and he would wait until you were ready.
"I'm seriously going to kick Malfoy's arse,"  He muttered instead, more to himself than you, and then added in a low whisper, "You don't deserve this, Y/N."
You couldn't bring yourself to answer, scared that it would cause the tears to start flowing again. Instead, you just nuzzled closer into him. You stood there like that for a few moments longer, until you felt something cold and slightly wet softly landing on the back of your neck. You pulled away slightly, realising that it was beginning to snow. You looked up to George just as a snowflake managed to land on your nose, and he slowly lifted his hand from your back to your face. His heart ached as he saw your face like this, all gloomy and dipped in the dimmed light of the streetlamp in front of the Three Broomsticks. He wiped away the snowflake and the remaining tears with his thumb, and the soft motion mixed with that dreamy look in his eyes nearly made your knees go weak.
"Come on, let's get you back to Hogwarts." He murmured tenderly, and you gave him the smallest nod.

“Would you like a cup of tea with your frosted cupcake, madam?” asked the house elf.
She shook her head, smiling politely, “I’d love a fresh cup of joe instead, thank you.”
The elf tilted his head, narrowing his confused eyes, “Pardon me, madam, but what exactly is a cup of joe?”
Embarrassment started filling up the oxygen she was breathing as her eyes started growing bigger with realization that the term was not widely known in British soils. She chuckled to herself awkwardly, “Oh-”
“It’s a fresh cup of coffee, Hokey,” a voice from behind said, “I believe it’s an American saying.”
Hokey nodded, going back to his work as he started brewing Y/N’s coffee. While this was going on, she turned around, to meet the owner of the voice from behind. It turned out to be Draco Lucius Malfoy, who seemed to be casually smirking, placing both his hands on the pockets of his trousers, looking at her from top to bottom.
“Well, well, well,” he happily said, “If it isn’t Y/N Y/L/N.”
“Hello to you too, Draco Malfoy,” she nonchalantly greeted him, copying his gesture of calling you by her first and last name. “And how were you aware of this American slang?” she asked, crossing your arms.
Draco’s smirk only got wider, when he took her cupcake, getting a small, smooth bite from it. “And why should I tell you?”
“Because I’d like to thank you, for saving me from utter embarrassment with my American customs.” she lied, as she just wanted to know how he could translate such an American saying for it was different in England.
Draco leaned in, seeming as if he was actually going to tell her. She peered in as he said, “I have a better way for you to thank me.” Her utter disappointment in his reply resulted in her leaning back, slapping his arm forcefully. “Douche,” she muttered. As Draco winced in pain, laughing lightly, she took her coffee and made a bee-line to the other side of the room.
She found familiar faces such as the hosts, Ginny and Harry Potter, with their best friends, Hermione and Ron Weasley. A wave of relief flushed on her face as she walked straight to them. “Hello, everyone,” she greeted relievingly.
The group turned to Y/N, hugging her out, as they smiled at her merrily. “Enjoying the party, Y/N? It’s probably not the same as you do it in America, but it’s lovely, ain’t it?” Ron asked politely.
“Nothing beats a traditional English party like having English turkey on Christmas Day, Ron.” she confidently replied, cheering her coffee mug with his. “Although I thought there would be more gentlemen in this part of the world.” she muttered loudly, giving them a confused face.
“What exactly do you mean by that, Y/N?” Harry asked.
Y/N shook her body, gesturing that she was shaking off bad vibes from her system. “Nothing much, only that Malfoy came up to me just a few minutes ago. Same old flirt to all, am I right?”
There was a mix of emotional replies from the group, causing Y/N to get puzzled. Harry and Ron shook their heads at each other, smiling cheekily while Hermione and Ginny let out a small laugh with each other.
Y/N narrowed her eyebrows, “I don’t understand. Is it really that funny?”
“Heavens no,” Hermione said, “You’re wrong, Y/N!”
“Wrong?” the staggered girl asked, “What do you mean?”
“Go on, Harry,” Ron prompted his best friend, “Tell her!”
Harry nodded, looking at you, smiling cheerfully, “Ever since you’ve left for America, Draco slightly changed.”
You walked forward, interested in what Harry was saying, “Uh-huh, go on, Potter.”
“Well, he hasn’t been the same old flirt to many ever since YOU left.” Harry grinned.
Despite not understanding what they were trying to tell her, she nodded confusingly, “Right,” she said, “Did something happen to him? Did he lose his memory? His charisma? Because earlier he seemed quite-”
“Goodness, Y/N!” Hermione exclaimed tiredly, “How could you possibly not get it?”
“Get what?” Y/N asked, surprised at Hermione’s tone of voice.
“Can’t you tell that the reason he hasn’t been the same old flirst was because he only had eyes for you?” Ginny questioned her.
“Catching a job in MACUSA meant catching an American boy from his point of view too,” Harry backed Ginny up.
“You do have an American suitor, or not, Y/N?” Ron asked curiously.
The flooding of information got Y/N to shake her head madly, as she waved off everything with her hands. “Not that I know of,” she teased lightly. Although, she wanted to go back to the topic the others seemed to be serious about. “But could you elaborate more on what you were talking about?” she asked, looking back at the rest.
Hermione, tired of this play, rolled her eyes, “He’s only had eyes for you Y/N!”
Y/N shook her head lightly with denial, “That’s absurd,” she chuckled lightly to herself, “That can’t be right.”
“How so?” Harry wondered.
“I-I just never caught any visible signs,” she shrugged, her tone going higher. “He usually teased and flirted but I never really thought it would lead to any signs. And when he asked me to the Yule Ball? I thought he was joking!”
“That was bloody embarrassing on his end. Going with Parkinson while she went with who’s-his-face.” Ron muttered to Harry, who seemed to nod in agreement.
Ginny shook her head, grinning at Y/N’s blind self, “Oh, Y/N, the things you made Malfoy go through.” Like a light-bulb that sparked on top of her head, she immediately grinned more, looking at Y/N. “Y/N, have you ever fancied him? You can’t just go around, letting him tease and flirt with you all those years without feeling something, right?”
Y/N looked down at the ground, quickly contemplating on her answer. She gulped, looking back up at the whole group, Ginny in particular. “Well, perhaps once or twice. But I always thought that it the idea of him and I wouldn’t happen. So, I never really went on about feeling something towards him.”
“Well, we’re really glad you haven’t found yourself an American suitor during your five years at MACUSA. Malfoy’s changed, in a good way, and you two deserve each other.” Ron stated proudly.
“Yeah?” Y/N asked, causing herself to smile.
“Yeah,” Harry said, as the rest nodded. “You should probably head back to him. He’s by the drinks booth.” he nodded, motioning Y/N to turn and check that Draco was exactly where she left him.
Y/N took a deep breath and started making her way back to Hokey’s booth, passing through the wave of many other familiar faces, who were filling up the whole floor. Draco was quietly drinking something from his cup, facing Hokey, who seemed to be busy to even bother ask if Draco wanted a refill of his drink.
“Two glasses of your best champagne please, Hokey.” Y/N announced herself, leaning at the bar. This caught Draco’s attention, as his face was now livelier since Y/N was back. It was her turn to start the conversation with Draco, although he was quicker in terms of opening his mouth.
“So,” he spoke, “I see you’re having a grand time but are you sure you can drink two glasses at once?”
“I can’t,” she chuckled, “That’s why the other one is for you.” she reached for the glass Hokey served, giving it to Draco, who muttered a small thanks.
“Also, I realized something.” she pointed out.
“And what is that, dear Y/N?” he asked casually, looking at Y/N with such fascination.
Y/N gulped quickly, knowing it was now or never. “Well I realized I was rude during our first encounter earlier.”
“Rude?” he wondered, but chuckling.
“Well yes!” she justified herself, “It’s highly assumptious that you were expressing a crude joke, which is something that you normally express and since I haven’t been used to that in sometime since I was in America, I may or may not have taken it in lightly and I called you a douche which I’m quite sorry-”
“Hang on, darling, take a breather first, you’re rambling.” Draco stopped her, placing his hands on her shoulders with a confused smile.
Y/N stopped as requested, looking at him with a tilted, uneasy head.
Draco continued the minute he saw that she was cooling down. “Right,” he said, “Crude joke?” he highlighted the phrase she was rambling about.
Y/N slowly nodded with a raised eyebrow.
“I honestly don’t see what’s so crude about a mistletoe opportunity.” he thought, shaking his head.
Y/N shook her head as well, but in confusion. “M-mistletoe opportunity?”
“Yeah,” he laughed, pointing up at the ceiling.
Y/N nervously looked up to see a hanging mistletoe, shining above the two. Hearing a small chuckle from Draco, she looked back at him, chuckling embarrassing as she stroked her hair. “Oh.” she said. “Draco I’m-”
Her apology was interrupted when Draco placed his hands on Y/N’s face, cupping her cheeks as he pulled in for a deep, passionate kiss as he took advantage of the mistletoe moment.
Y/N’s uneasy figure started relaxing as she started kissing Draco back, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly.
Draco pulled back, grinning politely, looking at her soft, sweet eyes. “Thank goodness for the mistletoe or I wouldn’t have had the chance to do that.”
“What a shame you couldn’t have planted one in our Hogwarts years while you were immensely head over heels for me as an adolescent.” she smirked, looking at his now-red cheeks.
He looked down, smiling still, but shyly. “It’s a shame you couldn’t see how head over heels I was as an adolescent.” he chuckled, “I take it either the Weasley’s or Potter’s have told you?” he looked at her.
Y/N nodded, giggling. “I guess it was never too late, right?”
“Never.” he agreed, brushing back a strand of her hair back into the back of her ear.
Y/N placed her hand on Draco’s forearm, which he brought down for her, now holding his hand. She looked down at his hand, squeezing it tight. When she looked up, she smiled. “Happy holiday’s, Draco.”
“Happy holiday’s, Y/N and welcome back home. I missed you dearly.” he greeted, placing a kiss on her forehead.
