Kaeya, despite being a sickly and gentle child, was his own kind of nightmare for Crepus and the other Dawn Winery staff.

See, Diluc is prone to mischief and chaos, dragging along his younger brother and a couple of other children into his plots and messes.

But Kaeya? Kaeya is the type to end up in the most random, and I do mean most random, of places. He would vanish for several hours, only to be found in an unexpected location such as, oh let's say that one time, he was found eating fruit with some friendly hilichurls...IN LIYUE.

He was such a curious soul that would easily get distracted by the wonders of Teyvat, but since he is so silent in both words and movements, whoever is watching over him would lose sight of him just as quickly.

He has caused several search parties in his youth, only for people to find out he was following a seelie to a treasure chest or napping with a young wolf cub in Wolvendom.

Crepus swears that Kaeya and Diluc are competing on who can give him gray hairs the fastest (so far, Diluc is winning, but Kaeya sure is catching up with every scream of panic from a designated babysitter and Diluc)

🌸 jihoon and the languages of love .ᐟ

jihoon claims: he can live without receiving gifts. he's never been particularly materialistic to begin with. he appreciates the bits and bobs he gets from fans, although he will also be the first to insist that no, you don't have to do this for him. spend your money on something more 'important'. save for a rainy day. he is fine without it; he is happy to just be remembered.

this is the same jihoon who will wear the socks he was given until there are holes in them. (even then, he'll try to hold on to, believing they serve their purpose.) jihoon who keeps all the gift tags from presents tucked away in a shoe box underneath his bed. jihoon who, with every poem you tweet, feels like he's receiving a little gift in itself.

jihoon claims: he's not a fan of physical touch. a lot of his members have chipped at his distaste for skinship over the years, but even then, he's not the type to seek out affection that way. he will indulge fans at fan signs. hold their hands when they ask. still, it is not something on the top of his mind when he thinks of the word 'love'.

this is the same jihoon who will stick to his members' side when they're out someplace unfamiliar. jihoon who will bear the weight of his twelve brothers' crushing bear hugs with little to no complaint, his expression exasperated but impossibly fond. jihoon who, when you mention loving the lyrics of hug, wonders briefly what that might be like— to share something like that with you.

jihoon claims: he doesn't deserve acts of service. he reasons that it's because he's nobody special. he's just a guy, not anybody you have to expend too much energy on. and he's an adult, at that, one who has always viewed himself as independent and self-sufficient in day-to-day. it's alright, he'll say. i can do it myself.

this is the same jihoon who almost cries when he realizes a blanket had been tucked over his shoulders during his sleep. jihoon who remembers like the back of his hand the snacks that his members love, the birthdays of all their own families, the names of their pets. jihoon who feels a dull ache in his chest when he thinks of people like you and what more he can do to keep you around.

jihoon claims: he's terrible with quality time. he's busy, always so busy, spending more time in his studio than anywhere else in the world. he works like he has more than just 24 hours in a day. he feels guilty at this one in particular, at the knowledge that he can only give so much of his already portioned minutes. it's the life he chose, though, and he takes care to remind himself of that every day.

this is the same jihoon who has a special ringtone set for the people he loves so no matter how deep he is in his work, he will know when he has to look up and check. jihoon who purposefully carves out time to respond to texts or meet up with someone, even if it's only for half an hour. jihoon who lets himself be selfish, lets himself be just a teensy bit greedy, when he doom scrolls through the poems you leave him. (five minutes more, he'll barter with himself. just five minutes more, please.)

jihoon claims: he could be better with words of affirmation. he tends to be blunt with his words, which may sometimes be interpreted as coldness. he jokes around sparingly. he doesn't have the cutesy text-speak, the suave pickup lines of the other members. there are days, even, when the three words that matter the most catch in his throat. when all that comes out is a helpless, flustered stutter of i— i— i— love you.

this is the same jihoon who means every damn lyric he writes. jihoon whose entire discography of love, and heartbreak, and yearning, and home, and family, is made with specific faces in mind. jihoon who stutters and stammers when it comes to saying things outright, so when it comes to you, he borrows words from people who say it better than he can; he loans quotes and phrases and lines, hoping that somehow it will all still reach you. he can be more fluent in these languages of love, he knows. but he trusts that you can hear and see what he means all the same.

Sky: I personally don't see him as being easily embarrassed lol but if I had to choose I bet he feels a lil self conscious over how much he aches thanks to missing zelda so much, like the chain teased him over his infatuation over her a lot pre-curse, but now that they can feel just how lovesick he is, I bet it makes him a lil bit uncomfy

Four: the migraines, I bet, like he gets them a lot, especially post-portal hopping

Time: I wanna project my awful terrible back pain to him, so yeah, back pain lol u know that one scene from the incredibles when bob is fighting that robot and his back starts acting up until it cracks back into place? Like I can see that happening to him a lot lol

Twilight: the midna heartache lmao

Wind: I like the headcanon that he struggles with blisters on his feet cause of not being used to walking, since back home he was raised in a small island and then sailed everywhere, he's embarrassed of the blisters and feet pain cause he doesn't want to be seen as weak and also cause he knows the other will fuss over him

Picture this — it's a few days before the Potters go under the Fidelius, and Remus visits them. It's been a few weeks maybe since the last time he was there, because he had several missions back to back.

James greets him at the door and after the usual identification process, they hug, all happy to be together again. They go to the living room; Lily is sitting in the armchair, covered in the ugly flower-patterned blanket that Marlene gifted them but she loved, a mug of tea in her hands, and talking with Sirius; Sirius is on the sofa, just as home at the Potters' than at his flat, grinning a bit while waving his wand around, creating brightly-colored animals-shaped lights to entertain Harry; and Harry is up on his two chubby little legs against the sofa, clutching the fabric so tight his fingers are almost white, but looking up in awe at his godfather and his magic.

It's familiar and comforting and a little bit of home and everything Remus had missed.

They all turn toward them when they come in, with varying degrees of joy and smile. But Harry — Harry brightens like his own mini-sun, reaching out toward Remus with a delighted "Moo-Moo!" (They all tried to get him to say Moony but he insists on Moo-Moo instead). And with the carelessness only a small child possesses, he walks-almost-runs to him.

Remus is, of course, just as delighted and crouches down and opens his arms wide for Harry to stumble against his chest, and then hugs him tightly and kisses his cheeks while Harry is laughing and squeezing his neck (he already has such a strong grip, this child). And then, happy and full of love, Remus remarks: "You didn't tell me he already learned how to walk!"

He raises up his head then and finally notices it — James' completely delighted and almost-feral grin, Lily's eyes wet with pride and joy, Sirius' mouth open in shock and surprise. And Lily, who finally managed to shake herself a bit yet still grinning grinning grinning, just answers: "he hadn't".

And that's how Harry took his first steps ❤️

i wanna say thank you for the all the kindness i've received in the passing year from all of my beloved mutuals and followers. the fact that ya'll have stuck with me through all my fandom hopping and droughts in art uploads means a lot to me. it's been very encouraging to see how much people enjoy my work, along with all the sweet comments people leave in tags, and it really helps motivate me figure out how to do my art full-time. i have a lot i wanna do this year, ( like build my portfolio so i can finally pursue professional work, ) so i hope everyone will continue to support me going forward! 🥳✨

Old submas designs and old submas covers!

I've really been itching to draw beta submas so I chipped away at this between assignment work. I think the more aggressive covers fit the vibe I get from the beta submas designs, so this uses (admittedly the tamest) lines from one of the harsher ones I know.

I would've used the whole chorus if I could but every line gives me a different idea for how it should look. For context, both of their choruses look/sound like this:

If I had more time I'd draw the animatic frames I planned months ago, but this was still a good stretch (especially since I've been in a bit of a block lately). Hope you like these as much as I did making them!
