Iku Turso
My rendition of the mythical sea creature from Finnish mythology. I was really happy to get this task! I was able to really nerd out and use my knowledge in both creature design and Finnish mythology to bring this card illustration to life. Iku Turso, like many mythical creatures have been described in countless of different ways and for my version I used descriptions and inspirations from Finnish nature and wildlife.
Done for Legends of the Deep by North Star Games.

I got the opportunity to create background illustrations for a board game called Endeavor: Deep Sea by Age of Gaming.
The entire game is set underwater, so I got to paint a lot of underwater scenes, animals and submersible vehicles that I had never painted before. It was a fun challenge and it helped me grow a lot artistically.
It is set to launch on Gamefound on April 25th. You can find out more about the game on this link: https://gamefound.com/projects/age-of-gaming/endeavor-deep-sea

More of my artwork from Nature by NorthStar Games. This is the Flight module's Faraway Place, a tropical island paradise for birds to migrate to that can't be reached by predators or competitors. Based on a photo I took at a real world location that's very close to my heart - does anyone recognize specifically which island this is?

Cover illustration I made for "Minos: Dawn of Faith", a boardgame expansion pack, to be published by Board&Dice next year! 😊 Here I've imagined a religious ceremony in ancient Minoan culture.

“Don’t want the Board to watch,” Darling explains, not without an edge of embarrassment. “I mean, can you imagine if this --” he gestures to the small space between them-- “showed up on their minutes? I’d be-- mortified , is the word.” Trench stares at him. It takes him a moment to find the coherency to respond. “I’m sure,” he manages to say, “they wouldn’t mind extracurricular activities.”
a scene from my trench/darling fic, "minutes of the meeting" <3 i may not have finished the game yet but i am utterly enamored with darling and trench's dynamic of the bureau's golden child and his handler υ´• ﻌ •`υ

Yacumama
A giant serpent believed to live in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. The Yacumama is believed to be the mother of all creatures of the water. According to legend, the Yacumama would suck up any living thing that passed within 100 steps of it.

So I finished my disco elysium cluedo tagged by Cuno illustration (it's for school, I had to draw a fake boardgame box damaged by time and graffiti.)
(what's written is "the colonel pigs Ellis Kortenaer has been murdered ! Cuno did eat ! Do we have a lead ? NO", and porcs means pigs. )
I'm not satisfied with the colors, but well I tried my best. here's some close ups :

Here's my art for the Camouflage card in the Flight module of Nature, an upcoming board game by NorthStar Games! This card features a well-hidden Great Eared Nightjar (Lyncornis macrotis) among the leaf litter, while a wild jungle cat (Felis chaus) stalks behind, trying to find it.

Roll a DICE to the RESCUE!
My (first) double-page contribution to @turbofox-zines 's TF Fanzine/Art Anthology: the RBA Zine, in all its glory!
Well, here is upscaled thrice so, I suggest everyone check the full monster of a piece by [Downloading it here] the whole booklet because there's so much precious art and writing (we even got a special guest story!) that deserves the support.
This illustration is extra special to me because it marks my first time working on a double page instead of my usual one-page piece. It's the first time I let my Graphic Designer knowledge take credit for the lettering, text, and graphic components to make this a full-functional board game (it works beautifully printed in an A3!).
The admins even let me contribute with the little character graphics to decorate the zine pages, something I was delighted about ♥
Now, as always I'll share my art process under the cut because a lot was going out during the journey to make this piece look as professional as you see it now. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did, thank you to all for the support ✨
I confess: I never EVER before illustrated a whole map in this art style x'D So I was glad this show already had shots from different perspectives of its setting. Still, not every place was visually consistent so this map is more of an approximation than a loyal representation of the canon.

I think the hardest part is to make something that looks good both with an without the board game path.
Tumblr media
... I confess too that even if I'm obsessed to make things follow a certain logic, I struggled a ton with the perspective 💥
YEAH, IT MADE ME USE BLOCKS TO UNDERSTAND IT AAA

It was worth the effort: look at how it works printed! And this is without an illustration-suited paper.

OH! Before I go: this too marks my first time drawing the vehicle mode for TFs... THE TINNIEST VEHICLES EVER, you can download their respective files on the Merch Part of the Zine too!
