Blind Date: A Stardew Valley RNG zine

Concept: OC Farmer go on a random blind date with a mystery someone. And it's up to you (the contributor) to let us know how the date went.

Content Restrictions and Requirements

Theme: OC Farmer is sent on a blind date... after that, it's up to you.

Rating: SFW, PG

Shipping: Yep! Please note that pieces do NOT have to be romantic. It doesn't have to be a date date. They can just hang out if you're more comfortable with that.

Characters: Other characters are allowed as long as you focus on your RNG character.

Zine Specs: Free Digital Artists: A5, portrait, single pages; Comics are allowed. Writers: 500-3,000 words FAQ listed after the "Keep Reading"; Follow our Twitter for more consistent updates.

💕 What is a zine? New to zines? Check out https://zinebaby.carrd.co/ for some general information.

💕 Who can participate? Anyone who applies during the application period. No previous experience. Only the cover applicants need a portfolio.

💕 How does the RNG work? Contributors will randomly be given one (1) person and one (1) location. The person must be the partner in crime with your Farmer OC. You may include other canon characters, but it should be obvious who the RNG character is. The location should be a major location in your piece, you can include other locations, but it should be obvious what the RNG location is.

💕 What types of mediums are allowed? Anything that can be put into a PDF, which means no music or animation. (Although contributors are encouraged to turn their pieces into animations if they choose to outside of this project).

💕 Contributor Expectations:

Discord attendance: mandatory.

Check-ins: optional.

Let a mod know you need to drop: required.

Final deadline: non-negotiable.

💕 Portfolio Requirements Only cover artists need a portfolio. For our cover we're looking for an artist with a fun and colorful palette that matches the warm-tone of our graphics. Experience drawing Stardew Valley characters not required but preferred.

💕 Banners: Our banners can be viewed here. Because this zine style may be new to our contributors, we've limited our banners for simplicity.

💕 TLDR; Contributors will create a piece that focuses on Farmer OC, a randomized character, and a randomized location.

Steve does a double-take at that. In fact, everyone’s staring at Tony in puzzlement. Except for Natasha but that's hardly surprising. Nothing fazes her.

What's surprising is Tony's reaction. The Tony in front of them can’t be the same Tony who has to be dragged or hauled out of his workshop for meals or gatherings, let alone galas and big parties. For him to willingly agree to be set up on blind dates by his friends is a huge breakthrough.

A breakthrough Steve hates but a breakthrough nonetheless.
