OH HI CALICO!!!

it's been a million years since i swam through the brain sauce i cooked up back then but when Inquisition had some war table missions that mentioned the dwarves of kal-sharok my brain went brrrr!!! And when it was announced that DA4 takes place in tevinter i was like SLAVE REVOLT OR BUST.

so this is what i wrote down as a general plot for my da4 project:

"to make up for the destruction of cadash thaig in the past - when cadash thaig aided the elves to flee arlathan and kal-sharok destroyed them to not destroy their relations with tevinter - some dwarves of present day kal-sharok came together to free elven slaves from the tevinter imperium. they believe that the fate of cadash thaig and the elves - maybe through a curse inflicted by old elven magic - caused the dwarves of kal-sharok to carry sth similar to the darkspawn taint and only with the efforts to repay that debt may the dwarves of kal-sharok be healed. the group of kal-sharok dwarves helping to guide freed elven slaves from tevinter call themselves 'the repenters' and work relentlessly to undermine lyrium trade to the imperium"

i made a whole list of companions i would like to see in the new game, mostly based off of things from bioware lore that i would like to see more of/learn more about. including two dwarven companions (one casteless from orzammar and one from kal-sharok), a fog dancer from seheron, an apostate city elf from kirkwall, a chasind healer and an avvar skald.

some guest cameos i put in there were feynriel and fenris :D

i would also love to learn more about rivain and the anderfels but bioware insists on throwing me back into orlais and fereldan *shakes fist*

i still really like the general concept and would love to work on companions and dialogues and recruitment quests and all that <33

no bc ford and bill's falling out is so silly to me because its like. ford's obsession with bill was the closest to "religious" that he's ever tread, and that kind of betrayal was earth shattering and hurt ford in a way he had NEVER been hurt before, causing him to completely mentally and emotionally unravel. meanwhile bill is like "can we talk 🥺" as if he hasn't been using ford for years, and when it became clear ford hated his ass bill got so drunk he forgot his mom was dead. what an INSANE dynamic to establish 8 years after the show ended.
