I introduced my grandmother to all creatures great and small, which we affectionally call the vet show because it's quicker to say. But french because french so we call it "le véto". It's great because we found something we both adore and can geek over but also she told me how much she loves mrs. hall because she reminds her of her own mum. My gran was born in 1938, so that's about right. She says her mum used to wear these long skirts and cardigans and that hair style when she was a child. She worked on a farm, though. And she was just as sweet and motherly according to her. I get a glimpse of what my great grandmother was like thanks to this show and I share fond moments watching it with my gran and it's just really nice.

god fucking bless jordan captainsparklez for very diligently and cheerfully talking about the design choices he is making for his house in isles and why. it is entirely made out of glass and stone bricks and lacks any and all detailing save for minor ones in the ceiling. it objectively does not look very good. i am absolutely enamored with his attitude towards building and this is helping me feel better about my own building skills in minecraft

Thinking about Sonic, during the first few weeks of having Tails and Knuckles part of his family, trying so hard to set aside his jealousy to be in the moment with his fam even though he's used to doing all these activities with Tom and Maddie but now Tails and Knuckles are in the picture and even though it doesn't look like it at all it felt like they're taking away Sonic's parents, and he couldn't help but feel horrible because when he sometimes felt angry at his new siblings and one time wished they weren't here in his house, he remembers what they've been through when they were younger and just hates himself for a while because- Tails and Knuckles were all by themselves and had no family and friends for a long time, and for Sonic to mentally tell them (without really meaning it) to buzz off and leave his parents alone and let him spend time with them instead just makes him think for a while that he is the worst brother ever for feeling this way even though he's happy to have a bigger family and loves his siblings so much. 😭

No but i want to go back to how bad PR the expression 'it's open to interpretation' was. Because as an art historian i've been traumatized by this sentence for the last 3 years. Of course how the viewer experiences art is important, because that's what makes art alive, how it resonate with people. But there are also FACTS. The author/artist intention first but also the means used to translate it. So no it's not just open to interpretation it's in what writers and other people involved said it was. And i hate how they used art as an excuse

I feel it's a bit ironic that the vote blue no matter who crowd are calling people who are considering withholding their vote from Biden (bc of what he's doing in the middle east) "selfish and individualistic" bc if i vote for biden again it will be for selfish and individualistic reasons.

If i refuse to vote biden it'll be bc I'm thinking about everyone. I'll being thinking about our foreign policy -- of the international community. The ONLY reason I'll vote for biden is bc I'm selfishly afraid of what will happen to ME if i don't.
