Eidolon art "blueprint"

I've been looking over Eidolons in Star Rail today and thought it'd be fun to try and figure out how exactly the art on them works (i.e. what is the principle behind it, what they have in common between different characters, that sort of stuff).

There will be 1 (ONE) 2.1 story spoiler in here, so beware!

I haven't seen anyone else discuss this, so I've taken it upon myself to write an essay on it! This is relatively small and based entirely on my observations of the art. Feel free to use this as a basis for designing eidolons for your OCs if you want.

There will be example(s) for each part to help visualise the point I'm making as well as descriptions for the ones I'll use (some of the descriptions are much more detailed than others).

Eidolon 1

Shows view of the character from the back 3/4th to the left, up to their shoulders.

Eidolon 2

A close up of either of the character's eyes, showing off the details.

Eidolon 3

The view is entirely unique: the perspective, pose, and focus of the composition is meant to showcase an aspect of the character's personality.

Examples:

● Dan Heng. Back view, focus on his earphones as well as the maple leaf in his hand;

● Silver Wolf. Front view, focus on the game console in her hands;

● Himeko. Front view, focus on her facial expression and the pen in her hand.

Eidolon 4

Gives view of the character mostly from the front (either full-on or at an angle) or with them facing the camera in some way, up to their shoulders. Often has characters establish eye contact with the camera, but not necessary. Another showcase of their personality possibly might even represent how they interact with others.

Examples:

● March 7th. Back view with her head turned to look at the camera, making a peace sign. She's the only real outlier I've found so far, but it fits her personality fully;

● Aventurine. Front facing the camera, tipping (pulling down?) his hat and hiding one eye behind his hand as a result, obscuring his face;

● Bronya. Front, turned to the right, has a serious listening expression, one hand one her chest, closer to the heart. Perhaps a show of sincerity and dedication.

Eidolon 5

A close-up of the character's neck/collarbone area (despite the popular belief, it doesn't actually focus on their chest). The angle varies, as does the amount of character's expression shown, but generally, most of it is obscured (even in fuller pictures).

Examples:

● Herta. 3/4th angle, focus on the key hanging from her choker. The only part of her expression we see is her typical smug little smile;

(This Herta is one of many puppet avatars so the key might be a play on that. She also has a keyhole on the front of her outfit, though they're different sizes. There's also a key on a book cover in her splash art. Another fun fact, her upgrade materials are "Keys" as she is one of the first Erudition characters)

● Dr. Ratio. Focus on the pendant/decoration on his collarbones (maybe the Intelligentsia Guild insignia?), he has that "lips in a thin line" sort of expression;

● Black Swan. Focus on the heart decoration on her collarbones (reference to the stained glass in her ultimate, which in itself, loosely, calls back to Fuli, the Remembrance). She has her slight enigmatic smile.

Eidolon 6

Like E3, the view is entirely unique. The only consistent thing is that it ends at about the middle of a character's chest. The character is naked, showing them at their most vulnerable.

Examples:

● Misha. View from the side, his body turned in on itself as he hugs some sort of glowing orb. As a result, he's only illuminated at the points of contact. His expression is relaxed, but there's an interesting amount of seriousness in it, as if he's soothing/protecting the object;

● Sparkle. 3/4th to the left, has her hands up to her chest, one holding onto the other. A red string is tied into a four-petal flower shape around her pinkie finger, which sticks out from the rest of her fingers. Her expression is fully relaxed, her mouth is even slightly open, but the face paint is still on, and her hair is tied up;

● Acheron. View from the front, though her body is slightly turned to the left. She's in her self-annihilator state: hair white, the red thorn-like tattoos surround her lower neck and collarbones. There are red flowers outlined in white, either blooming on or flowing near her, some on her shoulders, some covering her left eye, others flying off. Interestingly, the flowers are placed loosely on a diagonal, bottom left to top right. Her expression is fully relaxed, mouth open slightly, and her hair is flowing to the side. That, paired with the flowers, makes it seem like there's a breeze passing by.

The conclusion I came to, upon finishing this analysis, is that Eidolons can be interpreted as the layers to characters' personality. With E1 being what anyone in the crowd could see – their back, no face, nothing to truly identify them by, and E6 is them at their most relaxed, most open point.

Dec 9 2022 - her film contract makes headlines

From what I can find, this is the first that anyone knows she is producing a film. There are no details released other than it's a script she wrote and she will be directing the film.

The next we hear is Dec 7, 2023 from the Tennessean --

It's been crickets, essentially. There are no public details I can find about the film anywhere including cast list, release date, content, ETC.

Interestingly, two days ago -- though uncertain of validity of source -

I don't have access to puck so cannot confirm what the article says; but this was recent! So; in theory, she finishes her Eras tour and moves directly in to film.

20th century fox, prior to the creation of Searchlight, was prominent in the specialty and independent films market in the 1990s; it carried this interest into Searchlight, at least initially.

In 2012, it was incorporated into Murdoch's 21st Century Fox. Barf.

On Dec 14, 2017 Disney put their first bid out on 21st Century Fox/Fox Searchlight. On March 19, 2019 the companies merged and Disney acquired Fox Searchlight; Fox News notoriously split independently. Disney dropped the name Fox; so now we have just Searchlight Pictures. There is also a Searchlight Pictures TV and shorts production, which for the sake of time I will not get into.

For Funsies, here is a short film (Jun 18 2019, after Disney acquired) produced by them called....LAVENDER. About a gay man who has a relationship with a married gay couple. Can't make it up.

Anyway, since merging with Disney especially, the company seems to be LGBTQ friendly.

And yes, Joe Alwyn has worked with Searchlight, with tweets I found dating back to 2018 with Searchlight UK. Make of that what you would like, I have no real objective commentary on the matter.

Taylor as a Director

She also directed the Long Pond Studio Sessions and Miss Americana.

Most of her directorial work has been since the Lover debut. Most of which is very queer coded/sapphic.. and again, make of that what you will.

Appearances/Pap Walks, ETC

Since her split from JA, we have seen her with multiple friends in the film industry. Among these: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, Keleigh Teller, Miles Teller, Sophie Turner, Emma Stone...

And dare I say.... Travis Kelce, who seems to want to break his way into the entertainment industry?

(aside from this headline; his failed dating show, his podcast, his multiple PR deals like with ZenWater... etc. I rest my case).

We also know there has been some B roll footage taken at the Chiefs Games.

Additionally, the media coverage of this relationship has been an absolute f*cking circus; with constant headlines of the two and their "engagement" / relationship dynamics. On Taylor's end, we have had constant references to Bejeweled (where she Ghosts); including Keleigh Teller giving her the opal ring.

The Speculation

Yall, this is my opinion - you can agree, disagree, etc; but I have no insider information. Just thoughts.

She makes her film directorial debut with Searchlight - recently acquired by Disney, who is pro-LGBTQ; and is clearly in deep with business deals with them, as seen on Taylor Nation and her Eras Tour Film.

We have rumors of her beginning her film production at the end of the ERAS tour, along with knowledge of her currently with B roll footage from chiefs games. We have multiple highly papp'ed appearances with her + TK; but also with multiple film stars, including Blake Lively (still not over that photo), Sophie Turner (I do think there's altruism here tbh on TS's end), and Keleigh. If you believe Keleigh is her stand in invisible bride.... Holy shit. Between the opal ring shutdown of the media circus as well as her and TS literally taking a page out of TSHOEH and dressing in character...

My ultimate suspicion is that she's using actual experiences of her current life-highly papp'ed - to tell her story. And that Keleigh is her stand in muse in this film.

I also think the @spade-riddles we've been getting about a final act ending, etc, pertain to her film. I don't have evidence aside from speculation.

Lynx is Serval’s young sister. A smart young girl training to become an Architect, but isn’t sure how ready she is. 

Luka is a high ranking member of the Wildfire Guards, constantly chasing down border hoppers and smugglers

Natasha is a woman who runs a colony of vagrants separate from Rivet Town. Her and her orphan assistants are considered dangerous

Hook, leader of Natasha’s Moles, wishes to be a great hero and boss

Oleg, captain of the Wildfire Guards, friend of Luka

Seele is one of Serval’s top tacticians, she yearns to see the surface but is too scared to betray Serval

Xianzhou Luofu

Jing Yuan, one of the old members of the Cloudhigh Quintet. An Emanator of The Hunt, now is cursed by The Abundance and wreaks havoc across the cosmos as both Paths fight for control over his body

Argenti is Jing Yuan’s psychotherapist and has the ability to see people’s souls. Possibly the one who smuggled a Stellaron onto the Luofu, willingly turned himself in to the authorities for some reason

Sushang is a Ten Lords Commission Judge in training, trying to follow the family tradition

Guinaifen, formally Guinevere, wants to be the first non-native Ten Lords Commission Judge. She reveres the General very much and often quotes him 

Hanya is a Cloud Knight from the Xianzhou Yaoqing training with her sister, is also the author of several light novels and like to hunt for ghosts

Xueyi is a Cloud Knight from the Xianzhou Yaoqing training with her sister, loves reading a specific series of light novels but doesn’t know who wrote them

Tingyun is a foxian Ten Lords Commission Judge training younger judges. She wields a fan possessed by an angry heliobus

Huohuo is the Amicassador of the Sky Faring Commission of the Xianzhou Luofu. She naturally has a nervous personality and a magic flaming tail said to be a blessing of the Reinbow Arbiter 

Yukong is the General’s right hand woman and is considered second in command of the Luofu. A skilled pilot and head of the Sky Faring Commission, she wants her daughter to try harder

Qingni is Yukong’s daughter. A slacker who would rather play Celestial Jade all day, but is surprisingly reliable in a pinch

Fu Xuan is the head of the Divination Commission and mentor of Qingque. She doesn’t understand why Qingque wants to throw away her comfortable job

Qingque is a member of the Divination Commission and is the student of Fu Xuan. She wants to one day become a soldier and use her skills in the fight against The Abundance, despite her small stature

Yinxing is the General of the Xianzhou Luofu. The Alliance’s first non-native General who became an Emanator of The Hunt and gained eternal life after the fall of the Cloudhigh Quintet and an accident relating to The Permanence (oops?)

Yunli, General Yinxing’s student and master swordswoman. She hopes to live up to everyone’s expectations of her 

Jiaoqiu is the current head of the Alchemy Commission while the Vidiyahara High Elder studies medicine on another ship. Often skips out on duty

Bailu is the current Luofu Vidiyahara High Elder, she is away studying medicine aboard the Xianzhou Yaoqing 

Dan Feng is the previous Vidiyahara High Elder. His reincarnation cycle was sabotaged when he was found guilty for transforming members of the Cloudhigh Quintet into Abominations of Abundance and his new life was stripped of all identifying markers. His title was inherited by the young Bailu

Yanqing is the grandson of the General of the Xianzhou Zhuming and is hunting down cursed swords. Ironically enough, he wields a cursed sword

Antimatter Legion

Duke Inferno is an Emanator of The Destruction and one of the Lord Ravagers of the Antimatter Legion. It is said he had a hand in recent chaos aboard the Xianzhou Luofu

Annihilation Gang

Phantaylia is the leader of a small faction following The Destruction. She will meet her end along with her fellow acolytes by the hands of an Emanator that should not exist

Penacony + others

Robin is a cyborg Galaxy Ranger hell-bent on destroying the IPC after they destroyed her home. She lives by the motto of stealing from the rich to give to the poor

Sunday is Robin’s late brother who died during the IPC’s attack on their home planet

Boothill is the head of the Iris Family. He and his baby daughter were the only survivors after a Stellaron ate half their planet, and he - being a young single dad - was taken in by Maeven Ellis of Penacony. He is an unwilling part of the grand plan to revive The Order and acts as the talent manager in Penacony. It is said that because of his “faulty” Synesthesia Beacon, he can no longer speak his native language nor say his own birth name 

Kafka is a Knight of Beauty searching for her missing Aeon. She finds beauty even in the most grotesque creatures

Gallagher is a being of Memoria created in the image of the Watchmaker to guide the Nameless. It is said he is based off of a man once called Breukelen Tiernan

Misha is a Historical Fictionologist created by the Watchmaker to be Gallagher’s friend and to protect the Dream. He takes the form of an unsuspecting hotel bellboy who wants to become a member of the Greyhound Family, and has traits of many of the employees around The Reverie. He also closely resembles a man who once flew himself directly into the Memory Zone

Silver Wolf is a rather odd Memokeeper from the Garden of Recollection who uses Memoria much like one would use a sandbox video game

Samuel is the very last of the Glamoth Iron Calvary and is an Emanator of Nihility. Disguising herself as a Galaxy Ranger using what she learned from a woman named Razalina, her real name is unknown to most, but she has a fondness for headbands

Sampo is a Masked Fool hired by Black Swan to cause havoc in Penacony during the Charmony Festival. Really likes bombs

Maeven Ellis is the previous head of the Iris Family and is the current Dreammaster. She takes great joy in “taking in” any “untalented” soul she can find and “giving them opportunities”. She originally wanted her adopted daughter Siobhan to take her place as head of the Family, but her new pet Boothill is working out quite nicely.  Is said to be a follower of The Order (shh!!)

Gopher Wood is the head of the Oak Family and after the death of Maeven, will take over as the leader amongst the Great Lineages. Is considered a threat by the IPC for his business skills

Oti Alfafla is the eccentric head of the Alfalfa Family. He lives for the thrill of the deal and loves to live life stylishly!

Sir Whittaker is the head of the Nightingale Family and takes his job preserving the Dreamscape very seriously. Since the head of the Greyhound Family is often busy, the security guards usually either answer to him or Gopher Wood when it comes to questions about Dreamchasers

Siobhan is Maeven’s adopted daughter who helped Boothill get back on his feet after he relocated to Penacony. Now she travels the cosmos as a famous mixologist, trying to wash away the stench of the Family in her past. Currently has custody of Boothill’s daughter and is the little girl’s godmother

IPC

Peridot & Bubbles, a member of the Ten Stonehearts and her pet Warp Trotter. Formerly known as Asta before joining the IPC, Peridot of Debt Retrieval views her position as one allowing her to travel and discover new secrets of the universe. Known as the least controversial Stoneheart

Tourmaline, a member of the Ten Stonehearts. Formerly known as Arlan before being recruited by Obsidian, Tourmaline of Stratagems is reckless and often self sacrificing. It is said he had a harsh childhood that culminated into strange survival skills

Obsidian, a member of the Ten Stonehearts. Known as Obsidian of Credit and is the Senior Manager of Strategic Investment, they have taken a personal interest in Tourmaline and are interested in his plans, even going as far as trusting Tourmaline with their cornerstone

Jade is another member of the Ten Stonehearts, it is not said what her skills or her department are

🌠🚂 Astral Express: very similar to u. Himeko is my numero uno, but I love MC and pompom too <3 if i had to rank id say Himeko, PomPom, MC, and then Welt Danheng March are kinda tied ? i love themb theyyre the sillies ever ^.^

🛰️ HSS: Probably Arlan and Peppy (theyre a package do not seperate), because theyre silly to me and I think Arlan deserves better!!! But tbh IDK, If Screwllum counts as a space station character since he appears there often, id say screwllum :3 robots !! Herta and Asta are also characters that I used to be neutral on/dislike but I quite enjoy them now!!! :D Ruan Mei is interesting 🤔 but i would love it if her design actually had like a lab coat or more biology aspects to it like the dna helixes are great but i need More y'know?

❄️Jarilo-VI: SAMPOOOOO !!! not even a question. second fav either Serval or Bronya or maybe even Lynx??? but Sampo is top tier to me. yesss. Underworld Charas r kinda more fun than the Overworld ones though imho, they have a closer tight-knit dynamic which I loveee like Seele and Luka are so siblings / besties and Oleg and Luka mentor-student relationship and Natasha and Hook being like aunt and niece and Clara Svarog daughter father bond of all time is so silly to meeee <333

🪷 Luofu: Blade counts imo!! since he appears in Luofu patch and thats like his former home. My fav Luofu character is Xueyi, but I gen rlly love Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan, and Yanqing too :3 Hanya is fun also but only because I like tragic siblings ajdhsjdh also shout out to Luocha for being a merchant whos actually NOT that much of a good guy and is just a silly weirdo man

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO 🪙THE IPC🪙, i hate the corporation's wholedeal but i love Owlbert, Topaz & Numby, and Aventurine a lottt <333 Ratio doesnt count as IPC despite being a representative sent by them btw hes in Intelligentsia Guild which is funded by the IPC but isnt part of the IPC. ANYWAAAAY

🌟 Stellaron Hunters: Kafka... its still Kafka.... i want to move on from her so badly please.... I stil havent gotten her i want to cry.... please letme let me live..... I like Sam and Silver Wolf as well too :3!!! Blade is silly but hes my least fav. Elio is my silly cat cat to meeeee

�� Penacony: Our canonical Penacony characters aka the playable ones actually from there are Sunday, Robin, Misha, and Gallagher. I really like Robin !!!! shes so silly and cute and i love herrrr <3 but if we r talking characters *featured/will be featured* in Penacony's story, then I have to admit Im very down bad for Aventurine and Black Swan rn. Boothill also <3 :3 sillies forreal . Acherons lore is interesting as well!! though shes not like a fav, shes like my blorbo in law for sure (one of my moots/friend is a big fan of raiden mei and therefore a big fan of acheron :3!! we ramble/basically make essays and talk to each other abt hsr a bunch and its fun :3!!!)

CROB Headline, March 2023 - Special Season: Lights, Camera, Action!

This month, we’re going to the movies for CROB’s first Special Season and to see the production of Butter Squid Cookie’s newest movie!

Title Event: Ready, Cookie, Action!

Tragedy strikes again as Popcorn Cookie, the winner of a recent Golden Ticket contest held by the promotional committee of Jellywood, visits the filming site of the newest movie directed by Jellywood’s own Butter Squid Cookie. The movie’s lead actress was said to have declared unable to shoot for unknown reasons, bringing production to a standstill. In response, Butter Squid Cookie is said to have considered Choco Bar Cookie- the lead’s stunt double- as a replacement for the missing actress, but it’s currently unknown if she’ll accept the role.

⚙️ This event is inferred to be a template rerun of the title events held since November 2023. A proposal for a standardized guide has been approved for future publication.

“Y’know, you’re kind of a jerk sometimes.”

“Can you just shut your mouth and patch me up already?”

The brush of medicinal alcohol caused Koret to hiss, jolting back as Ashe grabbed a hold of her wrist to keep her steady. It wasn’t common for the brawler to shift into a curative role these days, especially with Shiro becoming a doctor, but the rare times that the captain presented herself to her she found herself compelled, and the most basic of first aid came easy for someone who learned to patch themself up from their own mishaps. She went back in with the wipe, ignoring how the woman growled; twisting her lip into a crooked smile when she retorted, “You did that on purpose.”

“Maybe.” The wipe came away bloody, a darkened peat-brown like graves dug along the edges of Ala Mhigo, and smelled not too dissimilar to the aftermath of the Garlean invasion — clinical, chemical and rust-wound. She tossed it into the bin and retrieved another, continuing to dab at the wound. “Y’lucky it’s me and not Shiro. Could be a lot worse.”

She knew why it wasn’t Shiro. The two had a shared history; a shared bond, of sorts. Koret Swan didn’t need to explain why she came to her door black and blue — she didn’t need to rehearse the same story, the same twisted chorus or endure the pity fresh in the face of every chirurgeon within a thousand-malm radius.

“What pissed him off now?” Him. Not her. Ashe watched the way Kor snickered, her voice bemused but her eyes bereft of mirth. The side of her cheek bulged where her tongue pressed, like a deadened whale swelling with decay, but the words she might have said were interred to the rot until they sank into irrelevancy.

“When I find something that doesn’t, I’ll let you know.”

She looked at her then, amber-gold to earthen-brown, and Ashe’s chest grew tight. She hated how she couldn’t protect her — hated that, despite the fact they weren’t so different, time, people and circumstance had twisted them to different paths — and that the blood she dabbed away in thickening clots was only one separation away from her own.

“Papa always said he was a little bitch.”

He was more polite than that, but it made Kor laugh. 

Ashe smiled in return, casting off the final wipe before turning back and grabbing a hold of the small sewing kit. Threading the needle, she carefully pushed the skin of her eyebrow up and began to crudely stitch it back together.

“—Always said he had somethin’ t’prove, being the youngest. Said he would whinge like a baby if he didn’t get his way.” They were never things said to Ashley specifically, more… discovered in the night when they first arrived at Limsa Lominsa, bitterly thrown to their compatriots. They were snarled the last time the two men ever spoke to each other, trading blows beneath the Marauder’s Guild after an altercation in the Drowning Wench had the three imprisoned in the small holding cells — Ashe on the outside looking in, swiftly retrieved by the guards the moment she began to scream.

Dimitri was able to pay his way out, but her father remained.

She knew he made it difficult for them. She knew he felt… slighted by that night. Embarrassed. 

He liked Ashe because he thought she was a cabin boy. He scorned the pantomime of gender when he found out proper.

It never bothered her, but she knew it bothered Kor. There was tension in her fingers, her maw set in a hard line. How many times had the two been compared — how often did she wish she could be him, not knowing the him was a farce? 

The few times they traded looks when they were children, her in rags and she in Sunday best, she knew she loathed her. She also knew Lily didn’t know her at all.

Strange to mourn a cousin seen in glances.

Careful not to nick the skin, Ashe snipped the thread pulled to a tight knot. Kor let out the air she held in a sigh, ballooning her through the pain, and reached her hand up to touch her face. The skin was swollen, the outer edges already going blue.

“Thank you,” said after a beat — like it was a forgotten sentiment, a habit she was trying to retrain. Ashe laughed proper now and grabbed a hold of her hand.

“You’re welcome. Still kind of a jerk, though.”

“Blame my father,” she said, though Ashe swore she saw a proper smile there.

“I do! I really think if we knew each other better as kids we would ‘ave gotten along.”

At least they were together now — that was the thing that counted. Time and treachery had carved a rift between them but, even in the stoicism of the captain’s words, she knew the tender sentiment. “I think you’re pushing your luck.”

I have this idea for more Hunters Guild lore, and this time it’s a smaller, rarer branch of the Guild:

It’s this small group of around 12 members. I based them off the swan lake ballerinas, because being a ballerina is kinda their whole theme. There are 11 ballerinas and 1 musician cause I want these hunters to rely on music for their forms- like their fighting moves depend on the music; it’s sound, beat, tempo, duration, style, etc

They present themselves as entertainment, always working on big fancy ships owned by fancy rich people. This makes it easier to get around and spot threats easier and protect their patrons- no one knows they’re actually a protection force so it keeps guests calm while the dancers do their actual job. They also distract unknowing patrons to keep every job as calm and as clean as possible to prevent anything getting out about an attempted murder.

They work more in protection rather than hunting, but they are acquired to kill on sight at any sign of danger.

All the dancers have white dresses- I’m thinking about giving a black dress to the main dancer but idk- all the dresses have these feathers that work as knives when they throw them because that’s cool.

I want all the dancers to be mostly identical woman to keep a kinda scary look or something? With identical masks and outfits. Like imagine getting beat up by a bunch of woman who look exactly the same.

For species I was kinda thinking swan, but then biblically accurate angels came to mind and I grew attached. I’d image their wings are hidden and are apart of their outfits. Wings aren’t used during a performance unless for very dire circumstances.

Also their wings have eyes.

I have some concepts of them in my sketchbook, and I plan on designing them digitally soon. I might make Ayah (Ezra’s sister) a musician for them after I create accident for the current one because Ayah is a musician and she still needs a plot.

Back in high school, Lolory had no idea what to do with her life. She didn’t get good grades, and she had no goals, no direction. She was simply “goth girl”... Shouldn’t there be more than that?

When the Starheaven Swan Pageant started getting ready, Lolory and a few of her school friends ditch class to go to the set-up and make fun of everyone. The other three soon lost interest, but Lolory noticed that all of the contestants onstage were talking about “being the prettiest girl.”

She scoffed at them. She knew she was prettier than the other girls, but why should appearances matter? She got ready to leave - she bumped into someone.

It was Yiena, the winner of last year’s Starheaven Swan Pageant. She was part of the crew this year. And she was the only one who cared enough to help Lolory stand up and make sure she was alright.

Lolory was stunned not just by Yiena’s simple appearance, but by her kindness and aura. Right then, she knew what she wanted to do in life. A month later, she had her costume for the pageant ready, and she had practiced etiquette and poise. She knew that elegance was more than just clothes.

Finally, it was time for the pageant. Lolory easily won, and her friends cheered her on. Even classmates had skipped studying for exams just to watch her! From then on, she strove to be as elegant as possible.

Connections

-Lolory tries to hide her past gothic self, but she embraces it in her Reflection for Midnight Elegance.

-This isn’t the only time the story mentions school outcasts in Ninir. In Vol. 2, you encounter the Dorm of the Strange, home to all who aren’t traditionally beautiful and/or have a peculiar style.

-Here, Lolory dyes her hair brown for the pageant. This helps explain why sometimes she has brown hair and why other times, like at the Guild or during Ninir’s coronation event, her hair is black.

Fun Facts

-Since Yiena’s presence affected Lolory so greatly, and since Lolory mentioned things weren’t so great at home, it’s possible that she didn’t have a good home life and lacked good role models.

-Even as an elegant girl, Lolory was still rebelling. According to the Index, she refused to “follow someone’s orders” on how you’re supposed to dress. Just like how Yiena wore simple clothes but was still beautiful and elegant.

-Despite being the Ambassador of Elegance, Lolory has a few suits that don’t have the gold/Elegant attribute. This is one of them.

Raven

🌟 Drop one of my characters’ names in my inbox and I’ll tell you 10 facts about them 🌟

Raven choosing to switch his fighting style from sword fighting to archery largely had to do with Casey. It also had to do with knowing that he was free to be a different person as Raven than who he was as Schwann. He also used what he remembered of Casey's artes when he learned to use a bow. Admittedly, Garnet Chaos was always an intimidating arte for him to potentially tackle. It was the arte Casey used to try and save him during the war, so it took him a long time to even consider learning it himself. Eventually, though, he did.

A lot of his perceived perverted nature is largely an act. A part of the mask he wears as Raven, one could say. It also reflects a bit back on who he was long before he was Schwann. A tiny piece of his oldest life he allowed to carry over into his identity as Raven. He isn't really that way anymore, so doesn't really play it up as much as he could.

Raven does enjoy a good drink. No denying that. He doesn't go out of his way to get drunk off his ass or anything, though.

While Raven isn't particularly fond of eating sweets himself, he does know how to make them pretty well. Usually he doesn't go out of his way to make them unless he's asked. He'll save making them for special occasions. Mostly Valentine's Day and things like that.

He's well aware of the bird symbolism that surrounds him. Schwann's name being derived from swans, Raven from the obvious. He thinks Alexei picked out the name Schwann for him not for typical swans, but black swans. He isn't unaware of their particular symbolism, which isn't too different from what most people associate with ravens. He acknowledges the death symbolism of both, but finds some comfort in what other things ravens symbolize.

Even though his friends accepted him back as one of their own after everything that happened, Raven still does carry guilt over the part he played in Alexei ending up capturing Estelle. For the most part, by the end of the game he's moved past it. Before that point, though, he isn't quite sure how to live with himself. Self preservation and self care may have gotten put on the back burner on a few different occasions. He tries not to make the others worry about him, though.

Due to the nature of Raven's blastia, it was unaffected by the events of the end of the game. It's powered by his life force, after all. He knows it likely is the only working blastia left, or at least one of the only ones, and it only works because it's powered by his own stupid body. He does still hate the thing. He never asked to be brought back to life by Alexei. Still, he knows he's alive for a reason. So even if he doesn't like the thing keeping him around, he does what he can to make the most of what time he's got. If nothing else, he owes it to himself since he has one of the few working blastia.

His blastia gives off a pretty constant glow, hidden beneath his clothing. He chose the colors he wears specifically to try and keep it hidden. It must have worked better than he thought, considering the surprise he was met with when everyone found out the reason he's still alive and all. He still does what he can to hide it.

Raven never liked the celebrations related to the Great War. He never really liked anything having to do with his role as Schwann, but always showed up to the celebrations when it was required of him and when he was able to. Sometimes he could make excuses to not go. But not always.

After the events of the game, Raven continues to help out Brave Vesperia. He doesn't know for sure if he's an officially recognized member of the guild, but he does what he can to keep helping out. He also just wants to do what he can to help Karol, Yuri, Judith, and any future members they gain out.
