Sleep is so important, In order to grow properly and for your body to work effectively we need at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
Try going to bed and waking up at the same time. Be on a consistent routine!
Staying on a sleep routine helps your body heal properly and i noticed products and skincare works better too🎀

Heyyy girliesss this week has been super crazy for me and I need to spill lol <333
♡Education♡
This week was so exhaustingggg. Taking six classes this semester is a bit more exhausting than it was last semester. I am a bit confused in my psychology statistics class. The professor has a me a bit confused but he is so nice! That’s the only the thing that sucks is how nice he is but he isn’t the best explainer for someone with my learning style. My bio class is going well but so much notes and stuff to learn I just can’t. But I got this I know I do I just need to pull through this semester and then I’ll be free in December. I love school when I’m not in school but hate it when I’m in school. I love the structure school gives my life.
♡Mental♡
I had my first counseling session for the semester it was so amazing my new counselor is amazing she is so relaxed and I definitely feel like a click with her. I had a man last semester and I am so happy I didn’t force myself to stick with him he wasn’t a terrible person but he wasn’t what I needed in a counselor. I needed a woman, someone who understood me and I could be vulnerable with I didn’t feel comfortable enough to cry in-front of him and I felt like he didn’t know how to help me. Mentally I’ve been in a healthy space challenging myself and my ways of thinking every single day it’s tough some days and amazing others but that is life.
♡Physical♡
I’ve been walking an hour every single day and I’m so proud of myself! Hitting close to 10,000 steps. I am not focused on the number of steps I’m more focused on the time I spend walking everyday. I’m going to start Pilates again soon and I’m super excited to start Pilates. I’ve been slowly working my way into my fitness these past three weeks it’s been walking consistently for an hour a day and in two weeks it’ll be an hour of walking a day and Pilates three times a week. Slow and steady wins the race. Resetting my fitness journey was the best thing I’ve done for myself. If you’d love a blog post on this let me know.
♡Hobbies♡
I am currently thinking of taking up a few new hobbies. I went hiking this weekend it was so much fun!! I met so many nice people and had such nice conversations. I walked a lot we didn’t really “hike” we walked around a beautiful large park that was filled with large gardens and fountains it was beautiful. I met another hijabi we conversed about hormones, studies I found online, careers, college and so much more. There were other amazing kind people as well. I can’t wait for our next hike! I need to go shopping for more “Nike hijabs” and hiking friendly clothing for hijabi’s because I can not pass out lol. I plan on joining more clubs that pique my interests<3333

ahh, i finally feel inspired to write again but does anyone else feel like something shifted after that eclipse? like the real new year just started for me. i feel so, renewed! but also fed up with so many things in my life. it's finally time to shed my skin (old habits and behaviours) and welcome new opportunities. in the same way the Persephone is rejoining her mother and awakening and beautifying the earth, i need to beautify my life after a period of stagnancy.
i'm making a lot of pacts to myself for the next couple of months regarding my health, and financial wellbeing. i'm in my mid twenties and i need to start focusing on being a baddie in every area of my life.
i also got this cute app called finch to help with self care tasks and keep me on track. the more self-care i do the bigger my penguin grows!! taking care of me takes care of her and i love it.

My 5 am routine
It all start with your night routine. To be able to start your day like a champion, you actually need to have a game plan the day before. You cannot plan on waking up at 5 if you sleep at 1am u know!
I do try few tips to easy myself into my bed! I try to stop eating around 7/8pm and do some stretching before bed. I noticed falling asleep faster doing so. Instead of watching a show that will be over simulating your brain, try to read a book.
Also, i am definitely in bed by 9 at the lasted every day and tried leaving my phone away as soon as i hit the bed.
AVOIDING AT ALL COST TIKTOK before bed. I can stroll on TikTok for over 45 min in a blink of an eye
Once, you are able to get in bed before 9am, set up your alarm for 5 am. And leave your phone as far as possible from your self to avoid hitting that snooze button!
So here is a simple routine to ease up your productive mornings
5am: waking up
5:00-5:30: 30min workout
5:30-6:25: 45min walk
6:30-7:00: Shower+Getting ready
7:00-8:00: YOU TIME! You can journaling, cleaning, making food etc whatever you feel like doing
Use that you time to reconnect, resource yourself with maybe a podcast or meditation. Let your morning be something that you are excited for! Something nice to your soul. It is your private and personal moment. Make your morning sacred.
Some days will be harder but the most important thing is to try everyday. Some day i will leave the bed at 6 but i will still try my best to wake up as early as possible to have those 5 steps accomplished. Eventually you will naturally be up early.
It is all about creating a new routine for yourself.

Skincare Routine for Hyperpigmentation

Hi! This is Ivy <3 I used to struggle. with breakouts, oil, and hyperpigmentation for about 3 years. Among other things, I tried some of The Ordinary and Good Molecules products in America, then Tretinoin (helped for a couple weeks) and biweekly facials when I moved to Shanghai. Nothing worked and my skin didn't significantly improve. I stripped my routine down to the essentials and started over again. I've seen MASSIVE improvements, so I thought I'd share with you all.
I started using Garnier Micellar Water to wipe my make up off.
I saw a tiktok saying that salicylic acid was good for darker skin tones. I went to Sephora and I bought the Inkylist Salycic Acid Cleanser. I swear by this now.
The first time I visited the pharmacy in Italy, I told the pharmacist what I was using on my skin (Avene) and she immediately redirected me to using the Effaclar Duo (+) as a moisturizer. This really helped prevent breakouts and slowly lightened my spots. It's really strong and I don't need it anymore. Now I use the normal La Roche Posay Moisturizing Lotion.
I switched my SPF out for some REAL mineral sunscreen. I loveee Bubbly Solar Mate SPF. Sunscreen helps even the skin tone and protects from further sun damage.
Clean off as much of your make up as possible before cleansing, keep your skin properly hydrated, and WEAR SPF.
I don't know what the science is or what magic cleared my skin, but my skin tone is so much more even, I rarely get any break outs, and I'm a lottt less oily.

i have a perfume, body mist and deodorant here and i think these all capture that cinnamon girl aura! sol de janeiros 71 is like fall in a bottle! our weather hasn’t changed for the better so i’d recommend this for when it’s cooler outside (it is a fall scent after all) native’s oat milk latte deodorant has clove, chocolate and a splash of milk perfectly cozy, warm and sweet. finally, chai epice really lives up to her name. le gourmand says it best, “this fragrance will make you want to grab the perfect chai latte, a soft blanket, and spend a cozy night in” and the reviews also hail to its sweet and spicy scent :3
