I know what they say, that it’s not all bl drama fans but like. I’ve definitely seen enough with the reactions to Maya that are misogynistic and down right ableist. Just painting a disabled woman as a bitch for not being perfect and not liking taichi/being mean to him when she understandably thinks he’s being an ableist dick (just because we have an in-universe academic year to know their relationship doesn’t mean Maya does so it’s understandable that she’d defend her disabled friend if she thinks he’s being taken advantage of because of his disability).

Sometimes yall just hate the women and won’t give them the time of day to be nuanced.

Genuine question for gl fans. Why is it that when some of you find a gl series you like your first thought is to insult other gls. Its always "this is the first gl I've watched with decent production" or "this is the only gl I've watched with decent acting" and never "Wow this show is really good and the acting is phenomenal I can't wait to see where the story line goes".

I'm not saying that the gls we've had haven't had varying levels of quality because they have and critiquing that is valid. However, some of you don't know how appreciate something good without being a hater and it shows. Which is extremely disheartening because gl is a growing genre and we already have to fight with the toxic (oftentimes lesbophobic) bl fans that maintain that all gl is terrible and will never be successful and now we have to fight each other too like really? And it's not one shows fandom either I keep up with all the new gls and the haters are everywhere. So let me say this. Your favorite gl isn't god's gift to mankind just because you like it. Learn to to give a proper compliment.

Okay I’ve just finished episode 6 of 4 Minutes and I *think* I kinda get what’s going on? Like ep5 is basically what happens when Great doesn’t have the 4 Minute Special (as I’m calling it), right?

Although that’s confusing when you take Den’s theory into consideration that none of what happens in the 4 minutes is real…unless this is actually paranormal, so to speak.

Regardless, this may be one of the best shows I’ve watched this year. I did not expect to enjoy it this much, especially with how much I disliked DFF and the weird relationship I have with Bible, but fucking hell, this show is amazing. The acting is on point, the production is amazing and even the writing is pretty good so far. I have to hand it to BoC for this one. I also may now have a crush on Bas? Never expected that. And Jes is to die for. Literally. And I now think I just love Bible, no weirdness anymore.

You know, I wonder what KinnPorsche the Series looked like to my non-BL mutuals. Uh, the short answer is Toxic Gay Mafia Drama. The long answer is long but here is a list of things that happened.

The main protagonist pisses in a fish pond, and as a punishment he gets put into a mermaid costume.

An important character is introduced working out butt-ass naked. This is not the last time this happens.

Traumatized man gets shown porn for the first time.

There is a blow job inside of a helicopter.

There is a supporting character with an Australian accent. No, he is not the character who is noted for speaking English.

There is a sex scene involving bread that exists purely to advertise said bread company (no I am not joking).

Secretly-Mafia singer gets turned on by fan's shrine to him.

He only sees said shrine because he broke into fan's room.

A dude spends his last moments lighting up a cigarette.

The tertiary couple only happens because one of them forces the other into a non-consensual pet play dynamic because he doesn't want to be lonely while blacklisted by the mafia.

The tertiary couple's first time together happens because of a hedgehog (they are the best written part of the show).

During the climatic final battle, the protagonist's love interest gropes his dick and calls it his lucky gun.

During the same climatic final battle, the secretly-mafia singer murders an entire bar of people to protect the fan who is too busy playing video games to notice the attempt on his life.

During the same climatic final battle, the 'owner' confesses his love to the 'pet' while the 'pet' is punching the fuck out of him. The 'pet' is sobbing and wailing while punching him (the 'pet' also shot him).

Yes, this all happens during the same show.

This show is a mess, and I love it.

mmm getting real sick of these censored purist minded sex repulsive ~fans~ watching asian bls commenting on how sex isn't necessary for a plot/show and that it takes away from the story. that showing feelings of lust and sexual desire and acting upon those feelings isn't right. is it really that incomprehensible that .. you know .. maybe, just maybe, we can also be sexual beings too that get horny and wanna fuck just because, i don't know, we want to? my god, why can't we asians just have nice things without all this nonsense and over the top critical analysis of our sexuality.

my thing with this all, as someone who doesn't watch thai bls as often, if at all, now, compared to jbls is that there are so many mature/high heat jbls out there (the novelist, the end of the world with you and my personal weatherman, just to name a few) that just tend to treat sex as something that's enjoyed. as something that 2 people do as an expression of lust and desire, just because they want to fuck each other, despite how shitty or bad or toxic (or not) one character may be. they allow room for that sexual desire to be explored, bc, you know, we as humans can be reckless like that!!! and recent thai bls are also going about this approach too! and it should be welcomed! and yet .... there are people out there shaming this notion. and if that's still the case, how is progress ever going to be made?
