Had a long term supposed “best friend” block me because I hadn’t talked to her in a week. Last week we were chatting like normal. And later that night she texted she was bored, but I was already asleep and only half saw it the next morning, way after the fact.
I was/am in a bad depressive episode and was fairly quiet all week. She never messaged me. I went today to say hey and found she had blocked me on everything. Even phone numbers.
Like… what the fuck? You’re bored and felt ignored and you decide to just block a friend? Someone who has literally housed you at times and rescued you from abusive situations?
This is the third time she has done this to me, each time because I didn’t respond for a couple days to casual chit chat. She usually cools off after a few months and asks to be besties again, but I think I am over it.
If I can’t have even a few days to myself while in a mental crisis, without being punished and shunned for it, I don’t think that is a person I want in my life.
