-Maybe In Another Lifestream-
Biggs ONESHOT
TW: spoilers for ff7 remake and rebirth and ANGST mainly for the loveless scene in rebirth. uses lyrics from "no promises to keep"
note: most all my works are for AFAB since its what i know what to write but if requested ill try, also im not the greatest writer just thought biggs needs more love this is also just a test oneshot so short. im terrible at spelling and gammer expect the worst
songs listened to while writing:
lacy by olivia rogrigo
almost (sweet music) by hozier
no promises to keep
my star (pealeaf ver)
better off without me by Matt hansen
Fantasmas by Humbe
"I won't say that it was fate, I won't say that it was destiny."
I sit next to Tifa and hold her hand as we watch Aerith perform her song using the VR, both Tiffa and I teary eyed after watching jessies performance for the first time. As I listen to to her voice i think back to my time with jessie, wedge, and Biggs.
"Till the day that we meet again, Where or when I wish i could say but believe, know that you'll find me."
I remember how I first met Biggs back in sector 5 in the abandon church, I waited for Aerith as small child came in and kept me company till he came in I remember the relief that washed over his face when he saw the child safe. He even walked me to my home in sector 7 since he was headed in that direction, there was never a moment he wasn't a gentlemen. Already being acquainted with Tifa just made us closer.
Seventh heaven two months before the pillar fell
"You gonna make or are you gonna continue to make us all suffer through your puppy love crush on Biggs?" Jessie teases me as she watches me watch biggs I sigh at her teasing jokes knowing she means well "jess its not that simple I don't wanna ruin our friendship" I say quietly right as Biggs and wedge walk towards us. Oh how i wish i just told him the truth but how could I know what would happen.
Seventh Heaven one month before the pillar fell
Wedge had locked Biggs and I in the Seventh Heaven storage closet, Biggs stood over me trying to give me space but given the lack of room in the closet, close proximity was inevitable. "uh sorry I can't really move any further" biggs says as he places his hands against the door my back was to "no its fine I understand" i say as I avoid making eye contact. It had been 10 minutes since wedge left us in this awkward state "Hey I was wonderi-" right before Biggs could finish Wedge pushed the door open sending biggs and I forward falling to the ground when i open my eyes i see biggs face inches from my own and myself on top of biggs my face immediately flushing before I can say anything i here the click of a camera and I turn to see Jessie holding a camera "JESSIE!" both Biggs and I yelled. I still can't believe Jessie got Wedge in on her plan.
Biggs apartment one week before the pillar fell
After a rough run with some fiends I sit on Biggs bathroom counter as he cleans some scraps on my knees when he gets to a deep gash on my thigh he tried to get a shard of glass causing me to yelp in pain. "hold on a little longer pretty girl" Biggs says focused on the gash "pretty gir- FUCK BIGGS!" I try to question him but he pours a little alcohol on the wound causing me bite my lip hard as he finishes patching me up he looks at my now bleeding lip like he wanted to say something but stops himself. Why didn't I say something?
Topside two days before the plate fell
Jessie handed us parachutes one for cloud and wedge to share and one for Biggs and I to share saying that she feared I'd get lost and that Biggs would watch out for me, maybe this was her way of trying to make up for that awkward dinner with her mother and having Biggs act like her boyfriend. After we jumped down I can't help but admire the beautiful view "Its gorgeous" I quietly say and I hear Biggs agree not knowing we were talking about different views. After we finally land it was just our luck we were tangled in the parachute after a few minutes of struggling we lay there laughing at our predicament it was like an unspoken agreement to just enjoy the moment. What I would give to relive that night.
Sector 7 right before the plate would fall
It was chaos, Tifa had gone to wall market Cloud was still missing everyone was running all neighborhood watch members and Avalanche were either evacuating people or going to the plate control tower. Biggs sees me and grabs me and pulls me close "evacuate as many people as you can and get away from here." he says as he looks at me before grabbing the back of my neck and pull me into a kiss i immediately kiss back fearing the moment he pulls away. When he pulls away I look at him understanding he didn't think he was coming back to me "promise me you'll make it out safely?" I say to him as he looks at me with sorrow in his eyes but doesn't respond "Biggs please promise me!" I can't help but raise my voice in desperation he closes his eyes before silently nodding "I promise I'll make it back to you always" Biggs ran towards the control tower and I lost a piece of myself in that moment knowing the truth. I didn't see him again till I followed Cloud up the tower I fell to my knees next to him as Cloud left us be, tears welled in my eyes "hey pretty girl don't cry" Biggs says in a hushed tone as he brushes the tears away. "you promised Biggs you can't leave me alone, we can get you out of here please" I say as i place my hand on his he only gives me a sad face and shakes his head before kissing me one last time and he calls to one of the neighborhood watch men telling them to get me to safety I refuse and try to pull away from them as they try to take me away from Biggs. "Im not leaving you alone Biggs! please just a little longer" they comply with my request till they decide we can't stay any longer they forcibly remove me taking me to safety. I should have stayed with him.
"take my hand and believe we can be together evermore."
Once Aerith Finishes her song green mist appears and in the corner of my eyes I swear I see him, I look again and see Biggs standing there smiling at me. "still my pretty girl." as i take my glasses off I smile sadly as tears drip down my face "always and forever your pretty girl"
So Uh yeah my first ever oneshot mind you this is prob badly written because its almost 3 am and my laptop crashed while I was writing it so i got a little lazy about editing

Spoilers for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Yes, I’m still crying about Biggs’s death, talk about false hope 😭😭
I remember starting Final Fantasy remake a little over two years ago and the second I saw Biggs, it made me start planning an outline for a series that I have been brewing for a while. A little bit has been written but I have an overall outline of it.
And seeing Biggs’s getting killed made me slowly start writing for him once again. Not sure if I will upload it any time soon, it depends if I can finish my current series, JUDAS.
I can say it was inspired by “Mary on a Cross” by Ghost and “Iris” by Pastel Ghost. If you guys want to see it then let me know!! I think doing a poll could be a good idea too.

Hi! Can I request general relationship headcanons for Biggs, Reeve Tuesti and Roche from FF7? Thanks!
General Relationship Headcanons
Fandom: Final Fantasy 7
Character(s): Biggs, Reeve Tuesti and Roche
Type of Request: Headcanons
Note(s): You got it!!
Biggs
When he's tired and comes home, he likes to just lay next to you and rest his body weight on you. He teases you slightly if you're unable to hold him up due to his body weight, but he makes it so he doesn't crush you.
Tells you about different missions and stuff he has with Avalanche, but keeps a lot of the details under wraps. He doesn't want to worry you too much if a mission could really go sideways.
Biggs does like to do little acts of service for you. You could be dead tired and he'd tuck you into bed then go to cleaning your house, trying to be quiet as he sweeps or does the dishes.
Reeve
He's pretty good with being emotional support or an anchor for his S/O. He's good at listening and he's rather attentive to your troubles. Does his best to give comfort and encouragement when needed.
Leaves small gifts for his S/O. Not all of them say they're from him either, but you know. He might not even be around when you open the present, but wherever he is, he has a small smile on his face imagining your reaction.
Reeve's would also like to engage in different debates with you on different topics. He likes speaking about logic and so if you provide him a scenario or try to stump him with how intelligence doesn't work in the theory, then he'll be glad to have a debate with you.
Roche
Constantly likes to take you out on his motorcycle. He likes the rush and having you cling to his back really makes him happy. Probably likes speeding and going extra fast just to see your reaction, but if it really scares you then he slows down, pouting a bit.
Lot's of spontaneity from him. You could be getting ready for bed when he suddenly shows up, knocking on your window, and telling you to get dressed cause he wants to take you out. You never know when he'll be ready to suggest some random date idea.
Honestly, Roche doesn't care about who sees you and him together. He'll gladly just pick you up and throw you over his shoulder, stating that he's going on a date with his S/O while flipping up any Shinra that are supposed to go on a mission with Roche instead.

Creep- FFVII Biggs X Reader Ch.17
Warnings: blood, descriptions of wounds
A/N: Sorry it took over a year for an update lol. Ya girl’s been through it. But I promise I will finish this fic this year. There are only two chapters left after this.
The familiar lights of sector 5 came into view. They shone like beacons of hope, sparkling in the dreadful darkness. Relief washed over you at the sight, albeit only for a moment.
Crowds of people were staring up at the sky behind you, pointing, gasping, and whispering to each other; the fear in their eyes was impossible to miss. Children were crying, people were moaning in pain, and worst of all, every gunshot and every explosion carried through the air as if it were right behind you.
"Help! We need a doctor!" One of the neighborhood watch boys shouted.
Some of the crowd turned their eyes to look at your bloody, panicked group. More gasps, more whispers of disbelief, looking at your dear friend like he was some type of sideshow attraction. Some of the parents shielded their children's eyes.
There was blood, so much blood. It dripped onto the dirt below; a puddle began to form. You felt sick.
You tore your eyes away from the sight.
"Is anyone a doctor?!" You shouted, eyes darting through the crowd for someone, anyone to help.
A white coat caught your eye, worn by a man crouching down on the dirt and wrapping bandages around a woman's arm. There were a few other wounded people sitting or lying around the man, but none nearly as urgent as Biggs.
"Hey!" You shouted, pushing through the crowd to reach him, "Doctor!"
The man looked up at you.
"We need your help!" You said.
You grabbed him by the arm before he could reply and dragged him towards your friend. You shoved him the final distance towards Biggs.
He stumbled, but quickly regained his composure as he looked at the source of your commotion.
"Oh my god," the man muttered. There was too much blood, anyone could see that. He placed two fingers on Biggs' neck. You felt your own heart stop as you waited for him to say something, anything.
A woman pushed her way through the crowd. Tan skin, dark curly hair, and glasses; She looked familiar.
"Biggs!" She shouted, running forward to get a better look at him.
She stopped in her tracks and gasped, her eyes wide like saucers at the sight.
"Quick!" She beckoned, "bring him inside!"
She ushered the men into the nearest building: the orphanage. Biggs had taken you there many times before. It always felt so warm and full of life, but this time was different. The children all crowded around the windows, oddly silent.
They all turned to look as the doors bust open, a group of men carrying a bloody, limp form up the nearest staircase. The face of the man was hidden from most of the children, who were either too short to see past the men's heads or had their eyes covered by one of the caretakers.
Except for one little girl. Five, maybe six years old, who just happened to be on the stairs as the men were going up. Her face grew pale at the sight, and her lip began to quiver.
"Biggs?" She asked.
The rest of the kids heard it.
Gasps, questions, shouts, and cries erupted before any of the caretakers could stop it. Children rushed forward, following you and the group of men up the stairs. Most were pulled back by the caretakers, but not without a struggle. The children were nearly impossible for the small staff to contain, and a few stragglers made it to the second floor.
The woman pushed a door open and held it for the men, who rushed inside. They dropped Biggs on the small cot, clearly made for a child, and the doctor made quick work cutting off his bloody shirt.
Everything was happening around you so fast you couldn't keep up with it all. The room felt like a whirlwind, people rushing past you, running in all directions; it was dizzying. The doctor shouted orders to the watch members quicker than you could process them. You could hardly process anything at all.
Your mouth felt dry, incredibly dry. And every time you swallowed, the lump in your throat nearly choked you.
"Is he gonna be ok?" You asked.
The doctor didn't look up from his work, and neither did any of the neighborhood watch members. It was as if you hadn't said anything at all. And yet you waited, unable to breathe until you received your answer.
"I don't know," the doctor finally answered, continuing his work without a second thought.
Your eyes locked on Biggs' abdomen. With his shirt now gone, you could see his wounds on full display. A gash, a bullet hole, both oozing fresh blood. There was dried blood everywhere.
You couldn't stop staring at it. The sight of the still bleeding wounds scared you to death. He had already lost so much blood, and yet you were afraid that if he stopped bleeding, that would mean his heart had finally stopped. So you watched the blood, it bubbled at a steady pace, fluctuating with every beat of his heart.
Beat.
Beat.
Beat.
A hand grabbed at your arm gently; the woman. She gave a small sad smile. And without a word, she led you out of the room.
She closed the door quietly behind her, ushering away the children who had managed to sneak upstairs against the staff's wishes. She scolded them quietly and told them not to talk to the other kids about what they saw. A request she knew would not be fulfilled.
She turned back to you, the same unconvincing smile on her lips as she whipsered, "Let's get you cleaned up."
Her hand wrapped around your wrist, giving a slight squeeze as she led you to the bathroom. The gesture, although kind, made you feel like a child in trouble.
Pushing the door open, she led you inside the small communal bathroom. Then, she crouched down to search through the cupboard under the sink.
You took a step towards the mirror, finally taking in your own appearance. It was then that you understood why she dragged you in; you likely would scare the children.
Your face was covered with sweat and dirt, black mascara had pooled under your eyes and run down your face, and worst of all, trails of blood caked your skin. It was his, you realized. His blood was all over your face.
You reached a shaky hand up to touch it. Some of it flaked off with the pressure, the brown flecks falling into the sink.
"My name's Folia," the woman said, moving beside you to wet the washcloth. You snapped out of your trance and looked at her.
"I'm-" you started
"Y/N, right?" She cut you off.
"How did you know?"
"He talks about you all the time to the kids," she said, giving you a smile that faded into nothing as she wrung the cloth. The mention of him made both of you grow silent.
She took your face in one hand and started dabbing at the blood with the washcloth. It came off your skin with relative ease, and so did the dirt. The mascara was a little bit difficult, but it came off eventually. And then she was done.
She took the washcloth under the sink again, washing away the stains.
"What all did he say about me?" You asked quietly.
"Don't worry, It was all good," she gave a small laugh, "he really seemed to have a thing for you."
The lump in your throat grew and your vision went blurry. The lights in the room looked like starbursts.
"Were the two of you ever... Y'know, together?" She asked.
You quickly shook your head no, a tear sliding down your face.
"Hey, don't lose hope just yet. He's a fighter, a real stubborn one too."
You huffed out a small laugh.
"You're right about that," you said, wiping the tears away. "What about you? How did you know him?"
"He was my teacher when I used to stay here as a kid... more like the older brother I never had. He was the whole reason I wanted to become a teacher."
Another solemn beat of silence.
It occurred to you that he had touched everyone's lives that he was a part of. He brought joy, comfort, humor, intelligence, strength, guidance, and solidarity to so many people. What a selfless man he was, spending all his spare time and paychecks on the kids at the leaf house, like a modern day saint.
It made you wonder, how could a man like him fall in love with you? And how on earth is if fair that his life could be taken so easily?
No, You shook your head.
He wasn't dead yet. He wasn't dead yet. He still had hope.
He was in the safest place you knew of, all things considered, and being treated with the best care a citizen of the slums could ask for.
There was nothing more you could do to help him. Whether he lived or died, that was up to Gaia.
Your friends were still on the pillar, though. And you couldn't live with yourself if something happened to them. Jessie, Wedge, Barrett, Tifa, and even Cloud. They were still fighting. Even though the battle was clearly lost...
You had to go get them.
You looked back at Folia, who was wringing out the wet washcloth, and mustered up the courage to tell her.
"Look,” you exhaled, “I really want to stay and look after Biggs, but I've got to make sure my friends in Sector 7 are ok."
Folia stopped what she was doing and stood frozen as she looked back at you, reading your expression.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" She asked, “I heard it's like a war zone out there, and the plate could fall any minute."
"I can't just stay here and wait for it to happen," you said, “They could be hurt, just like Biggs.”
Folia's brows knit together as she looked down at the cracked linoleum tiles.
"What if you don't come back?" She looked up at you, "When he wakes up, the first thing he's gonna do is ask for you."
You bit your lip, there was nothing more you wanted than to be by his side if he woke up. You'd do anything to stay with him. But you wouldn't, no, you couldn't, just leave your friends.
You couldn't shake the images of them in your head, images of them riddled with bullets, slumped against the pillar, covered in blood. Just like Biggs.
"I know...," you looked Folia in the eye, "But I need them to be safe too. If something happened to them, I don't know what I'd do."
Folia shut her eyes and sighed, she knew you weren't going to be persuaded.
"I understand. If you've got to go, I'll stay here and make sure the doctor doesn't need anything."
"Thank you," you said, turning to leave the bathroom. But before you could leave, Folia caught your wrist.
"You better come back," she said, her gaze was intense, "He needs you."
You nodded to her.
"I'll come back. I promise."
She let go of your wrist.
You hurried out the hall and down the stairs, brushing past the confused children crowded in the lobby. Little hands tried to grab at you, and little voices tried to ask how Biggs was, but you weee too quick. You made it out the door before they could get to you.
You looked up in the sky. The plate was still there. There was still time.
But then you felt something. Something bad, something wrong.
The ground shook beneath you, and a deafening rumble echoed through the streets.
Your heart sank.
You could only stand and stare as the sector seven plate fell from the sky and crumbled to the ground, in large, flaming chunks.
What couldn't have been more than a minute felt like a lifetime as you watched each piece of debris descend upon the city below...
Then came the wave of dust.
You managed to break free from your trance and run back into the leaf house just before it hit you. As soon as you turned around, the windows had become fully clouded over.
You placed a hand on the glass, trying to look past the endless sea of brown. It was pointless, you couldn't see anything, and yet you couldn't tear your eyes away, trying to find any figure, any silhouette in the fog.
Your friends weren't in there, right?
They had gotten out, right?
If there was one thing you knew about them, though, is they'd rather die fighting then sit back and watch this happen, so the answer was quite clear...
You suddenly felt lightheaded, your mouth incredibly dry, and a lead weight in your heart.
Folia rushed down the stairs, stopping in front of the window only for a moment before running to console the screaming kids.
Weird, it was only then you noticed the kids crying. You didn't notice anything happening around you. And even now, you still felt disconnected from it all. Chaos was unfolding all around you, and yet it didn't feel real. Nothing felt real.
Brown splotches were taking over your vision, and you grabbed onto the chair next to you, your hands shaking as they guided you to sit down. It was only then you realized how quick your breathing had gotten.
You leaned forward, trying to increase the bloodflow in your brain. Shutting your eyes, you took a couple deep breaths. They didn't come very easy, so you counted each inhale and exhale, just like Biggs had taught you.
Inhale...1...2...3...4...
Exhale...1...2...3...4...
Inhale...1...2...3..4...
All your friends were dead.
Inhale ...1...2...3...4
Barrett, Wedge, Cloud,
Exhale...1...2...3...4
Jessie and Tifa
Inhale...1...2...3...4
Marlene.
Your eyes shot open.
It couldn't be... she couldn't be...
Your breathing regressed back into a shallow, ragged mess, like someone or something was crushing your chest, breaking each and every rib in the process. You gasped for air, tears pricking at your eyes.
"Y/N!" A voice shouted, and footsteps rushed towards you. You didn't look up, you couldn't. Any sudden movement and you'd surely pass out.
"Y/N, you gotta breathe," the woman said, kneeling down to your level and taking your hands into her own. You recognized the voice; Folia, “Hey, look, breathe with me."
"Breathe in..." she instructed, you sucked in a quick breath, "Hold..."
Your lungs felt like they were on fire.
"Breathe out..." she said calmly, you quickly expelled the air out of your mouth, "Breathe in... hold... breathe out."
"Marlene," you managed to spit out, "I-I think Marlene was still in there."
She froze, you could feel it.
She must have recognized the name; Biggs probably brought her up all the time.
She didn't say anything, instead she sat down on the chair beside you, dropping her own heard into her hands as the full weight of the realization hit her.
And with that, you fell back into your fit of sobs, crying for your friends, crying for your family, crying like your life fucking depended on it.

hi! can you do Biggs taking care of a sick s/o please?
Hey there! Thank you so much for your request, I really enjoyed writing for Biggs again. :) Hope these headcanons are to your liking! Have a great day/night and stay safe.
Biggs x gn!reader – taking care of you when you’re sick (HCs)
Biggs is definitely a really considerate and caring boyfriend, so don’t even try to talk him out of taking care of you because he won’t listen to you anyway. To him, it’s a given to take care of a loved one when they’re not feeling well, so he won’t accept any contradictions from you.
He makes sure that you get enough rest. Sleep is important and as long as you’re sick, he insists that you stay in bed and rest. There’s no way he lets you go out to help Avalanche with their missions or anything like that. The only compromise he’s willing to make is to let you rest on the couch instead as a change of scenery – but only if you promise him to stay right there and not try to sneak out of the house.
Biggs isn’t the most talented cook but he sure as hell tries his best. He brings you lots and lots of tea and home-made soup to warm you up and to soothe your sore throat. Also, if you need some meds he tries everything in his power to get them for you because he wants you to get better as soon as possible. He also gets a huge amount of tissues and cough sweets, just in case you might need them.
He insists to keep you company and also cuddles you even more often than usual to cheer you up, especially since he wants you to know that you’re not alone. He also doesn’t mind spending the day in bed with you and keep you company but if you’d rather be alone for a while, Biggs will accept that too.
If you start to feel cold, Biggs can and will bury your body under two or three blankets. Staying warm is important and if the blankets don’t help, he won’t hesitate to lie down next to you and hold you close to warm you up. He couldn’t care less that you could pass on your cold to him, so he also kisses the reddened tip of your nose or your slightly chapped lips every so often to comfort you.
Thank you for reading! If you enjoyed it please consider reblogging. I'd really appreciate the support. <3

How would Sephiroth, Reno and Biggs comfort/reassure a female reader with severe body image issues? 🥺
Sephiroth
He wouldn’t really know what to do at first. He really doesn’t understand why you have so many issues with how you look.
He isn’t great with words of encouragement. At first, he’ll say things like “Don’t be ridiculous” and not be very receptive. He can’t help but get a bit angry at anyone saying anything negative about you, even if it’s you, so he’ll put a swift end to those conversations.
One day he catches you crying in your bedroom. He doesn’t say anything. Instead, he wraps his arms around you.
After that, he realises that while he can’t change how you see yourself, he can let you know how he sees you.
Like I said, he’s not great with words, but you notice he becomes a bit more physically affectionate, making sure to plant kisses on all the parts of your body that you dislike.
Biggs
When Biggs finds out about your body image issues he is genuinely shocked.
To him you are the most beautiful thing on the planet. He lifts your head so you look him in the eyes.
He is sincere as he says “Every part of you is perfect and I love you just the way you are.”
When he realises that you still arent convinced “Don’t believe me? Well, I’ll make it my mission, however long it takes.” he says with a big smile.
Reno
It super understanding. He had really bad body image issues growing up so he opens up to you too.
He tells you how he’s had major self-image issues as a result of growing up as the ‘scrawny kid with the funky colour hair’ and even though he does his best to work with what he’s got, he still has his days where his confidence is nothing more than an illusion.
You’re shocked at this and say “What? But you’re like a work of art! And your pecs are like...well they’re like wow!”
“Do you really think that?” he replies. “Of course! You’re feelings, whilst valid, are just that. It’s not reality. You’re perfect” You say, comforting him.
He looks down at you with raised eyebrows. “Couldn’t have put it better myself” he says with a wink and a little smile.

Resonance
Part One of ?? Next >>
Notes: Takes place in the days immediately before the opening of the Remake.
The bar is still mostly empty. When the evening train arrives it will fill up quick enough, but for now it’s just you and a very serious man around your age that Tifa has just informed you is Cloud Strife. You’d told him your name and he’d accepted a handshake, but that had pretty much been the end of the conversation. He seems quite content to sit at his end of the bar and brood over his drink. You don’t mind if he doesn’t want to talk, but when you catch Tifa’s eyes she mouths, “sorry!” at you before she fixes you something deliciously cold to drink.
“Have you seen Jessie?” she asks you as she passes your drink over. You shake your head and she purses her lips. “I hope there’s no trouble.”
You hear the extra note of concern in her voice and lower your own. “So it’ll be soon then?”
“Yes.” Her expression is unhappy but she doesn’t say anything more. It’s too dangerous. There are still plenty of people even in the slums that are believers in Shinra, and a lot of the locals suspect that Tifa is at least sheltering Avalanche if she isn’t one of them. They’re right, of course, but as long as they keep their suspicions to themselves it isn’t a problem.
“I’ll make sure my kit is ready,” you say. You’re not a card-carrying member of the cell, but you help patch the team up if the injuries aren’t too serious, and assist the doctor if they are. Your day job is at the Leaf House, which is how you got involved in the first place: Biggs had been forced to retreat to his former work place once after a run-in with a bunch of Shinra’s goons, and when you’d seen the bullet hole he couldn’t pretend he’d just fallen off a ladder or something equally pedestrian.
“I’m sorry I can’t tell you more,” she tells you, and you can tell she means it. “But…”
You laugh softly. “Barret would have your ass? It’s okay, I understand. Hopefully no one will need me and I’ll find out what happened when the rest of Midgar does.”
“Thanks. I know we all really appreciate you.” Tifa reaches out and gives your hand a squeeze, and you feel the warmth of acceptance. Even if you’re not part of the team, it’s nice to feel useful and appreciated.
You’ve moved on to talking about Marlene and her newfound passion for dancing when the door bursts open and Biggs rushes in. Your heart clenches the same way it always does at the sight of him, and that familiar colony of butterflies takes wing in your stomach--which drops as soon as you recognize the tightness around his eyes.
“Tifa,” he says in an urgent but controlled voice. She nods and disappears into the back room, perhaps disabling the lift to the hideout beneath your feet. Cloud looks up for the first time but he doesn’t move or ask questions. Still, you can see that he’s paying close attention even as his fingers curl around the glass in front of him.
Tifa pops back into the room and Biggs asks, “Barret?” When she shakes her head, he lets out a short sigh and says, “Well, that’s probably for the best. This the guy?” He indicates Cloud with a jerk of his thumb.
“Yeah. What’s going on, Biggs?”
“Shinra raid,” he replies. His eyes fall on you. “What are you--? Nevermind. There’s no time.” He takes your elbow and when you’re on your feet, tugs you gently into a corner. His arms come up to frame your head and he leans in close, but it isn’t sweet nothings he whispers in your ear. Instead, as the door slams open again, he leans down and murmurs, “Try to keep your face hidden. Put your hand on my waist. I’m enough of a risk to the Leaf House, but if they can trace you back there…”
You nod as the Shinra soldiers fan out through the bar, hands on weapons. You follow Bigg’s orders, only instead of putting your arm around his waist, you let them both dangle over his shoulders and you idly play with the hair at the back of his neck. You can see the little shiver it gives him and feel one of your own dance down your spine.
Then he smirks at you. “Oh, and don’t forget to pretend I’m very distracting and funny.”
“Mmm…not sure if I can pull that off.” But you let out a flirtatious little giggle anyway, because you do have an audience and you’re hoping they won’t be interested in an amorous couple.
Behind Biggs, you can see Cloud’s eyes cut toward you both before he looks over to Tifa, and then back down to his drink. His shoulders relax and his expression turns glacial as the leader of the Shinra squad marches up to the bar.
“You in charge?” he snaps to Tifa.
“Y-yes…” she replies slowly. “Is there some sort of problem?”
“There are rumors that Avalanche is hiding here, so you just sit your pretty ass down and stay out of our way.”
He makes a gesture and the men he’s brought with him begin methodically--and forcefully--searching the bar. They flip chairs and shove tables around, pull decor off of the walls and shove at the jukebox.
“Now, wait--you can search all you want, but don’t break the--” Tifa starts, but the squad leader shoves her back. You feel Biggs’ shoulders tense under your arms, torn between helping her and protecting you, but there’s no need for him to make a tough decision: Cloud’s head comes up once more.
“Touch her again and I’ll stick my sword up your ass, lieutenant,” he says in the same bored voice he’d used when you’d been introduced. It’s so clearly a threat that he intends to take out, but he says it like he’s observing the weather. The squad leader spins to face him, spots his sword and uniform, and swallows whatever smarmy comment he’d been about to make. Biggs chuckles in your ear and you shoot him a curious look.
“I can’t believe it,” he says under his breath, sounding impressed in spite of himself. “That cocky son of a bitch is pulling rank!”
“You’re a...a SOLDIER? What are you doing here?” the squad leader asks, sounding much less confident than he had thirty seconds ago. Cloud waves a lazy hand.
“Whatever I want.” Then he glances around at the men the Shinra lieutenant brought with him. “What’s going on?”
“We have reason to believe she’s sheltering terrorists,” he replies, with a sneering look at Tifa.
Suddenly, one of the soldiers grabs Biggs’ arm and tries to jerk him away from you. Remembering your orders, you keep your face turned away from him. Biggs’ other arm drops from the wall to your waist and he pulls you tight against his body.
“You mind?” he snaps at the soldier. “The lady and I are a little busy.”
“I need to see your ID,” the soldier tells him. His eyes fall on you, but your hair is down and thankfully obscuring your face further. “Both of you.”
If Cloud notices your dilemma, he gives no indication of it. He just keeps staring at the squad leader like he’s a semi-fascinating bug. “You think I’d drink at a bar full of terrorists?”
The squad leader falters. “W-well…”
A flicker of disdainful amusement crosses the ex-SOLDIER’s face. “If I find any planet-huggers, I’ll send them right to you.” His tone is so patronizing that you almost feel bad for the poor lieutenant...well, not really. But almost. “Unless you prefer me to deal with them myself? Probably not worth my time. Who’s your battalion commander?”
The squad leader makes a choking noise. Then he signals to his men again. “Search completed, let’s go.”
You can see the soldiers glance at each other, but they’ve been too well trained to question an order, so they begin filing out--including the one harrassing you and Biggs.
“Wait.” Cloud’s eyes have fallen back on his drink, but at the sound of his voice the room freezes again. “Not very good manners, trashing a place and leaving it that way.”
Immediately, the men begin setting the room to rights. It’s almost funny how fast they move to clean things up. Chairs and tables get shoved back into place, decor is put back on the walls, and one man even begins sweeping up the shards of a glass he’d broken while smashing his way through the search. While they’re distracted, Biggs turns back toward you and you tuck your face into his shoulder as his other arm joins the first around your waist.
“Almost,” he murmurs against your ear. “You’re doing good.”
“Tough assignment,” you whisper back, threading your fingers into his hair just in case anyone is still paying attention to you. “Standing here and trying not to let them see me.”
“Well, and pretending I’m the most interesting man you’ve ever met, even with SOLDIER-boy sitting at the bar over there,” he replies, sounding amused at your nonchalance.
“Broody hero types are popular,” you admit with a dramatic sigh, “but we met five minutes ago and I bet he has no idea what my name is.”
“Broke your heart already, did he? What a bastard,” Biggs chuckles, and you grin against his shoulder.
“Dispicable,” you agree, and he gives you a squeeze. When the last of the Shinra soldiers disappear out of the door, he lets you go and steps away. The urge to drag him back into your arms is almost painful, it’s so strong, but you force yourself to settle for heading back toward your waiting drink.
“What was that about?” Tifa asks, sounding a little shaken. Biggs takes the stool next to yours and steals your drink, taking a sip before his expression settles into something a little grim.
“They know something’s coming. They must be trying to stop us before we can pull the job off,” he says. Cloud makes a noise and all three of you look over to him. He looks up, realizes that three pairs of eyes are watching while you all wait for him to speak, and falters for a second. Then he says,
“They’re not really trying, they just have to make it look like they are. But the PR is much better if they swoop in and clean up after a terrorist attack than if they prevent it. People will forget if they stop it before it happens. They won’t forget who helped them in the aftermath. Makes them look like heroes, which is exactly what they want.”
“So what do we do?” Biggs asks him.
He shrugs. “This is your op. I’m just the hired help. Ask your fearless leader...if you can find him.”
Biggs snorts and takes another gulp of your drink before you snatch it back.
“We can’t stop now,” Tifa says, though she sounds unhappy about it. “We’ve worked too hard and...people have been…”
“I know,” Biggs replies in a tight voice. “Guess I’m just wondering if our timing sucks.”
“It’s never going to be the perfect time, no matter what you’re planning. But the planet can’t wait forever, right?” you ask. He glances toward you and nods and you give him a supportive smile. He smiles back--and then steals your drink for a second time. He finishes it off while you lunge forward to take it back, then slaps some gil on the counter to pay for a new one for you before you can complain too much.
“I better find Barret and give him an update,” he says. “See you guys later.”
“Later,” you and Tifa chorus. Cloud lifts a hand in goodbye without even looking over. You want to say something else, make some joke about being tucked into a corner together, but you can’t think of anything. Instead, you watch him stride back out of the bar and let your shoulders slump in disappointment. Tifa gives your hand a comforting pat.
“Don’t give up,” she tells you, and you give her a wry smile.
“It’s okay. He’s got bigger things to worry about. Besides, it’s just a crush, right? It’ll disappear on its own with time.”
“Maybe…” she agrees, but she sounds doubtful and you follow her gaze to Cloud. Then you both let out unhappy sighs. Love, you decide, thoroughly sucks.

𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮
Summary ➳ Anyone would’ve pointed out how cold (Y/n) was, almost like Cloud, Jessie compared her. But Biggs felt like there was something different, he knew he was right when he saw her smiling for the first time…
(A/n) ➳ I love this man too much, I really do hope he’s in the next game. There isn’t enough content for Biggs, I just had to. I also planned to make this into a series/book but wanted to see how you guys think of this. I also cut some things out so it was all crammed in and long.
Word Count ➳ 1.7k
Content Warnings ➳ Female Reader, Reader is a member of Avalanche, Reader is mentioned to have scars, mentions/description of violence, mentions of murder, cuts, blood, stiching, needles, soft swearing, angst-to-fluff…
“And who are they?” Cloud questioned, watching the military-like group take down the mechs and the rest of the SHINRA soldiers as the
“First guests to the party. Another Avalanche cell. Our holier-than-thou friends from the old guard... It’s always their way or the highway. Lately they’ve been a real pain in the ass... Till now.” Biggs answered Cloud. “It’s also the cell that (Y/n) apparently left.” The large door shuts and the gears turn to lock it.
“Apparently?” Cloud lifted an eyebrow as he stood to his feet.
“Some say she was booted, ran off, or chose to leave peacefully.” Biggs sighed, shaking his head. “Who knows? I can’t even tell what’s running through her head most of the time. Which is why she’s known as the Wild Card of Avalanche. So dangerous that SHINRA is scared to even bring her in.”
(Y/n) leaned on the railing of the random roof, picking at the paint flaking off the rails in boredom. She watched from above as the slums. It was a normal day for some but they don’t know that the members of Avalanche are right under their noses.
But she couldn’t blame them since the group did their best to keep their business away from the innocents.
She should be meeting with them at this time but from Barret’s words, she wasn’t necessary for the next part, probably from the last mission since she arrived late which worried the majority of the team.
She wasn’t going to admit it what caused her to be late, she just shot down a soldier or two…
“There you are.” The familiar voice broke her from her thoughts, she turned her head slightly and saw Biggs walking closer to her with his usual smile on his face. “I was wondering where you went.”
“Well, you found me.” She turned her head back, looking back at the slums. “And what brings you here?”
“I wanted to see you off before I go.”
She hummed. “Another reactor?”
“Yep.” Biggs chuckled awkwardly, sensing annoyance since he remembered her trying to get on the mission as well. “...You’re not sure how you feel about that.”
“It’s fine. Best that Barret chooses his best and the ones he trusts.” (Y/n) huffed, cleaning her hands of the chipped paint left on her fingernails. “Besides, I have other things to focus on.”
“Like what?”
“It’s best if I don’t share.” (Y/n) glanced around the roof before looking down at her phone… A stolen phone from a SHINRA personnel that they forgot to shut off. “I have some SHINRA men I have to talk to.”
Biggs watched her, wide eyed as getting one of those phones was near impossible but that depends on who you steal it from. He stretched his arm out, reaching for it, “Where- How did you get this-?”
She instantly pulled away from his reach, looking at him as if he just insulted her. “Like I said, it’s best if I don’t share.” She repeated.
“Sorry, I didn’t…” Biggs was again unsure, she was so strange in his eyes as he heard fifty-fifty things about the woman who stands besides him. He was thinking so much that he didn’t realize that she began to leave, heading towards the latter.
“Wait!” He called out, seeing her look at him. “Once I get back…Would you care to join me topside? I heard there was a good place for food.” He shyly rubbed the back of his neck, his mind racing as he felt flushed.
“Depends.” (Y/n) answered. “Do you plan on coming back in one piece and alive?” She asked.
Biggs nodded, almost hesitantly. “Of course I do.” He said, hoping that she didn’t catch the wave in his voice.
“Then you have my answer.” She smirked before climbing down the ladder.
When Biggs reached the latter, she was already gone. Like a ghost, there wasn’t a glimpse of her in his sight. His fingers ran through his hair as he continued to try to search for her. “They were right about one thing.” He mumbled. “She’s full of surprises.”
As much as Biggs wanted to get home early, he knew he couldn’t rush what they were doing. This plan was thoroughly careful, he became even more worried and impatient when there wasn’t a SHINRA soldier in sight. But when he returned home, it was late.
Some trains were stopped after Cloud, Tifa, and Barett chose to jump off the train. He was worried about what (Y/n) would have to say.
Would she hate him? Curse him out? Hopefully forgive him? He couldn’t sleep, heck, he couldn’t even clean. Not without her filling up his entire head.
The knocking on his door made him shoot up from his bed, tumbling on his feet as he put on a shirt. “Just a moment!” He spoke, nearly stumbling over his shoes before he made it to the door. He’s surprised once again when he sees (Y/n) standing outside, an arm behind her back, but his surprise is replaced with panic.
“Do you have any bandages?” She asked him out of the blue.
“W-What?” He blinked a couple of times, confused if what he’s seeing was real.
“Bandages.” She said. “You know, bandages. Do you have any left?”
“Oh yeah.” He turned back and went to his desk, top drawer to pull out bandages.
“Thanks.” She took them from him.
“Why do you need…” He looked down her other arm but he could tell she was purposely hiding it and then he saw the droplets of blood behind her, it’s almost a trail. “Are you bleeding? Like now?” He hurriedly said, stepping closer.
“It’s fine.” She spoke nonchalantly, like it’s an everyday thing. “Thanks, once again.” She turned to leave but Biggs grabbed her shoulder.
It gave Biggs a better look at her arm, a large gash, from her wrist to the inside of her elbow. “It’s not fine. This is serious.” He paid her no attention when he dragged her inside his place, closing the door with his foot and making her sit down while he grabbed the rest of his first aid kit.
“And you know how to stitch wounds?” She asked him.
“I learned back at the Leaf House.” Biggs responded, grabbing a needle but cleaning the dried blood first, using his other hand to apply pressure to her gash.
“The Leaf House?” She perked almost immediately. She winced when she felt the needle pierce through her skin, clutching her thigh tightly as she felt the threat move.
“Sorry.” Biggs apologizes, slowly stitching her wound. “Do you know the Leaf House?”
(Y/n)’s eyes wandered around the room, avoiding his gaze. “Once or twice.”
“Any family there?” She nodded, but didn’t expand and Biggs knew not to push any further. “How did you get this?” Biggs changed the topic.
“It’s-”
“And don’t tell me, it’s best if I don’t know.” Biggs snickered, even more when he felt her foot kick his leg softly. It was more of a poke.
“I just ran into some SHINRA soldiers.”
Biggs looked at her for a moment before returning to her wound, “I thought they were scared of you.”
“Who said that?” She questioned, hoping to find the one who’s been spreading stuff around.
“That’s what I heard.” Biggs replied, finishing his last thread before cutting the thread and knotting it. (Y/n) sighed and said another thank you to Biggs. She moved her hand carefully, so as to not open the wound. “The cut was clean and deep. It will likely scar.”
“It’s fine. Just another to my collection.” She mumbled, grabbing the bandages and wrapped it, but not tight.
Biggs quietly started to pack his first aid kit away, taking quick glances in her direction. “Um… I’m sorry I didn’t return early, if I known-”
“It’s okay, Biggs.” She said, handing him back the bandages. “I’m just happy you thought to ask me out.”
“...Really?!” Biggs shot up.
She nodded once more, a soft smile forming on her lips as her eyes relaxed. She no longer looked angry or cold, tense or standoffish. She looked calm, and happy.
“I… I never really thought that I could have what people have. You know, relationships with others or even friendships. I thought that if I could keep people at arms length.” She picked at her nails, nervous and scared. “Yet each time you come running back.”
Biggs laughed, smiling proudly. “You always kept me on my toes. A surprise right after another, you keep on surprising me. I barely know you but sometimes it feels like I’ve known you for years. I know what others say about you but I don’t care, I don’t care what they say because I…” He grabbed both of her hands, holding them tightly. “I love you, okay? I love you. And I can’t imagine loving someone else.”
“I don’t want you to be scared of me.” She shakily spoke. “You’ve heard what I’ve done.”
“We will go at your pace, however you like. Hell, I’ll even wait for you if you ask me because (Y/n), you have me, wrapped around your finger.” Biggs no longer felt embarrassed or nervous, he felt proud and he too, happy. “What do you say?”
“I’d be lying to myself if I said I didn’t.”
If the smile on Biggs’ face couldn’t get any bigger… He slowly pulled her to feet and was careful to hug her, treating her as if she was made of glass. Biggs felt her hands clutch onto the fabric of his shirt.
“To topside?” He softly asked.
She looked up at him. “To topside.”

The Bombing of Emotions
Cloud x Teen! reader
Part IV
You did what
Chatting with Cloud can go one of two ways. One, he indulges in my stupidity and jokes around with me. Two, he completely ignores me and I'm basically talking to myself. Lucky for me, today is option one. I wonder what has got him in such a good mood.
I bet it's Tifa or that he is getting paid a lot of money. Either way I'm gonna enjoy it while I can. The sound of someone coming up from the basement takes us out of our conversation. It's Tifa, looking pretty stressed.
Maybe I should go back to where I was sitting at the table. I slowly start to get up to sit down else where. Thankful Cloud doesn't make sit back down, that would be awkward.
As I stand up my head starts to pound. It's the most awful pain I've ever felt. I hold my head out of shock. I feel tears naturally drop down my face.
"Hey you ok", I think Tifa asks.
"Yeah, probably just stood up to fast", I respond.
"You sure kid, maybe you should sit down", Cloud says.
"It's fine, I'm just gonna step outside, gets some sunlight on me", I say.
I stumble outside, my head still in excruciating pain.
I feel like I'm gonna hurl. What could be causing this. I haven't eaten anything today, maybe that's why. I hear fast footsteps, I stumble to my feet only to crumble to the ground in front of someone. I have my eyes shut tight from pain so I have no idea who's feet I'm laying at.
I feel more pain, the pounding is so loud it Blocks out the sound around me. Some one grabs my arm and suddenly images are flashing through my mind. I see a figure with long hair and a tall figure standing next to each other. The image flashes and I see a figure on their knees with another figure holding something to their head. The image flashes once more and the pounding stops.
What the hell, just happened. I open my eyes slowly, adjusting to the light. I glance around and see I'm still on the Porch of Seventh Heaven.
"(Y/n), Kid, can you hear me", I hear a voice say.
Hovering over me is Cloud.
"Huh", everything is so blurry, I'm so confused.
"What happened when you came outside", Cloud asks?
"Well I came out here to sit down, but then I heard you coming outside so I stood up but I only collapsed", I explain.
"Can you walk", Cloud asks.
"I think", I slowly stand up.
I stumble a little bit, but gain my balance.
"Ok, let's go home", Cloud says.
I follow Cloud, but we are stopped by a group of strangely dressed men. "Hey you there, blonde guy", they call out Cloud.
I latch on to Clouds arm.
"Who are these guys", I whisper to Cloud.
"I don't know, just hold", Cloud pull’s out of my grasp and walks up to them.
"Hey you know where a guy with a gun for an arm is" the leader asks Cloud.
A guy with a gun for an arm, wait that’s the guy from last night. They circle Cloud, I start to get nervous.
"Depends", Cloud responds shortly.
"Come on let's go talk else where", the leader says.
Cloud walks off with them, turning to me slightly he mouths "stay there". I listen this time, those guys are scary. I hope Cloud will be ok, there was a lot of them. I know Cloud can handle it if something happens though.
Cloud’s POV
I follow them to the back tunnel I was in earlier. I notice he tells one of the guys to stay behind. What are they planning. I walk in first the rest following behind.
"Now we got you here tells where the guy is", the guy demands.
"I said it depends" I respond.
"Fine if that's how you want it, that girl you were with is another person we were asked to find", he says.
I pull out my Buster sword, "you stay away from her".
"Hey man now go get her, we got him", he yells to the man outside.
Oh hell no, I'll take these guys out quickly.
Your POV
I hear fast footsteps coming my way. I turn around and see it’s one of those men from before. I prepare to use my materia but he grabs me before I get the chance. I punch my arms in out trying to fight back, but I feel all my energy leave me.
How the fuck is this guy doing this. I feel myself being thrown over someone's shoulder.
"HEY", I hear a shout in the distance.
I want to look at who it is but I can't move.
"Put her down", the voice is closer now.
"No way man, the pay I'll be getting if I bring her in is more than you can imagine", the guy holding me says.
What the fuck is going on. I feel the man get kicked to the ground and someone grabbing me out of the air. I being held bridal style now.
"If you ever come back here to find her, you will have to deal with me", the person holding me says. I open my eyes the best I can to see Cloud.
"C-Cloud", I stutter.
"Hang on, were going back now", Cloud starts to walk home.
My eyes flutter open and closed for the whole walk. "Hi honey welcome home, took your sweet time", I hear a girls voice say.
Huh, I didn't know Cloud actually had a girlfriend.
"Psych", I hear her say.
They must assume I'm asleep because they being to talk about business.
"Can we talk inside, she's asleep so I don't think she will hear us", the strange girl says.
We head inside and Cloud sets me down on the bed. Listening in on their conversation I understand that they are gonna sneak into a Shinra building tonight. To get things to build a bomb. A bomb for what though.
"Last time I used a stronger blasting Agent, that's why the reactor exploded like that", the girl says.
A reactor, wait does she mean those big towers that have the mako stuff in them.
Why would Cloud do that, I know him and Tifa are close but I didn't think he would go that far. The girl finally leaves, good, now I can confront Cloud. I open my eyes and sit up.
"You blew up a reactor", I say.
Cloud jumps, surprised that I'm awake.
"Yeah whatever", Cloud brushes it off.
"Why didn't you tell me", I ask.
"I doesn't matter", Cloud says.
I guess he's right, I don't even really know what a reactor is.
"Anyway, about those guys before, what did they want with me", I ask.
"I don't know, I was hoping there would be some answers In that backpack of yours", Cloud says.
"Well let's find out", I say.
I open up my bag and unzip the mysteries zipper. I pull a book, I'm it looks like a journal. Flipping it open I notice a lot of the pages have been ripped out. Why, what could be so bad that they needed to tear them up.
I look over the pages that haven’t been torn out. The first few pages don’t really have any information that will help me. I flip to to the back and find a note addressed to me. What the hell?
‘(Y/n) if your reading this, it means you made it out, there are gonna be people who are looking for you, I can’t wright out all the information on this page but I need you know that I’m here for even if I’m not physically there’ signed Miles.
This isn’t my favorite chapter that I have written but we’re getting more drama from the past

Creep- FFVII Biggs X Reader Ch. 16/?
A/N: Sorry it took six months! Life is wild, y’all.
You stared at the sight in front of you in disbelief, no, denial. Biggs was slumped against the pillar's main column, eyes shut and completely still. You couldn't believe it. Just a moment ago his lips touched yours, and now, just like your lips, his skin was cold to the touch. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening...
"Biggs...?" You whispered, half in disbelief and half in shock. He didn't answer, he didn't move. And even though the sounds of gunshots and screams surrounded you, for one moment, it felt painfully silent. Deep down, you knew what this meant, but you refused to believe it. Your lip began to quiver.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" You whispered, cupping his face in your hands, "Wake up, please! Wake up!"
"Y/N," Cloud said softly.
You barely even registered his voice over your own desperate attempts to rouse Biggs from his unconscious state. Tears were pouring down your cheeks now, falling onto Biggs' bloodstained shirt and pants as you brought him into tour arms. He meant everything to you, how could this be happening?
"Don't die on me! Please, oh God, just open your eyes!" You shouted, shaking his chest slightly. Still nothing. He was gone.
Finally, the dam burst and you broke down into a sobbing mess, pressing your face into his chest as if looking for his comfort, and yet none came with the gesture. You held onto him tight, unwilling to give him up just yet. He loved you, and you loved him, why did it have to end like this?
"Y/N," Cloud said. You heard him, but didn't acknowledge him.
"Y/N," he said louder, placing a hand on your shoulder.
"Shut up!" You snapped. For another moment it was painfully silent. Regret flooded your body, somewhat of a relief from the heartbreaking grief; you didn't mean to make things so tense, "I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't have-"
"It's ok," he interrupted.
Cloud's eyes were glassy too, just barely enough for you to notice, but you did. He had a tight grip on your shoulder, but when you had looked at him he seemed to freeze, no longer confident in handling the situation. He glanced from you, to Biggs, then back to you.
"Get out of here," he said, not in his usual aloof tone, but an awkward, almost compassionate one, "It's what he would've wanted."
You didn't answer at first, instead staring at the man you loved in his pitiful position against the pillar. He, along with the rest of your team, was your everything. And now he was gone and they were still in danger. Staring at the deep crimson puddle growing around his body, you felt the pit in your stomach grow deeper. Every time you thought your heartache had reached its peak, you were proven wrong. You tried to look away, but you couldn't.
"Cloud..." you managed to say.
"Yeah?" He replied, his thumb and fingers digging into your shoulder so tight it almost hurt.
"I don't... I don't know if you can stop the plate from dropping," you looked back up at him "But please... just get Jessie and Barrett out of there."
He held your gaze another moment before nodding. The strong grip on your shoulder fell away as he got up, and he took one last glance at Biggs before heading to the staircase.
Just as he reached the base of the stairs, he looked back at you expectantly.
"Y/N," he warned.
"Let me finish saying goodbye," you ordered, the words fell off your tongue with a tone like venom before you could stop them. He just wanted you to be safe, and you were being an asshole again. You took a deep breath, "I'll leave as soon as I'm done. Promise."
Somehow, you had convinced him. Either that or he had no time to force you off the pillar. Cloud nodded before flying up the flight of stairs and out of sight.
You glanced back at the man you just kissed, It was only a moment ago that your lips met but it felt like eons. And now he was gone... And somehow you were supposed to say goodbye and leave him here to fall with the pillar. Fate was a cruel thing...
Tears were welling up in your eyes again as a shaky breath escaped your lips. You didn't want to leave him, not like this, but you made a promise. A promise to Cloud, and a promise to Biggs himself. And if you wanted to fulfill either of those promises, you'd have to make your goodbye quick.
Leaning forward, you pressed a kiss to his forehead. The surface of his skin was still warm to the touch, and though you knew it wouldn't stay that way, it was comforting in the moment.
A small tear slid down your cheek and onto his as your lips hovered over his face a moment more. Leaning back, you took his hand in your own. It was still warm and wet with blood, but you didn't care. You were soaked in his blood anyways. You brought his hand up to your lips.
"Maybe in another lifetime," you whispered, voice rough from crying. Then you placed a kiss onto the back of his hand. Squeezing your fingers around his own tightly, you prayed for the strength to walk away.
Your heart stopped for a moment when you realized you could feel the slightest pulse from his hand. No, it couldn't be. You must've imagined it. But you hadn't let his hand go and you still felt it, weak but steady. There was no way.
It dawned on you that you had never checked the man's pulse. How could you have not checked his pulse? Within an instant, you had dropped his hand and brought your fingers up to his neck.
You gasped - it wasn't your imagination. He had a pulse. It was weak, but still noticeable. You couldn't believe it. He was alive.
You couldn't leave him. There was no way in hell you were gonna leave him behind. Not after all that the both of you had been through. But that raised an important question: how the hell could you get him down the pillar?
You took a step towards the railing at the edge of the pillar, looking over the side to estimate what floor you were on. Were you really only on floor 5? It felt like you were so much higher. You looked back at Biggs, he groaned and shifted the slightest bit as your mind searched for a way to get him down.
You knew you couldn't carry him if you tried, so the only other option you could think of was to drag him off the pillar. You felt half stupid for even proposing the idea, he was probably still too heavy for it to work, and dragging him down five flights of stairs while he was bleeding out wasn't a great idea, but right now it was the only option. If you didn't, he would surely die. You couldn't just give up and let that happen. You had to try.
You approached his slouched form and grabbed at his shoulders, placing pressure on one of his bullet wounds as you pulled his body into your lap.
Looking at his face, you hesitated. You didn't want to hurt him, and being dragged down the stairs would definitely hurt, but it was that or leave him, and you couldn't do that.
Pressing your fingers to his neck again, you made sure this wasn't a lost cause. His pulse was still there, still steady. Thank God.
Placing your hands under his armpits, you stood up from the ground, lifting his torso. You then realized that in order for this to work, you'd have to walk backwards off the pillar. Great. So, turning around and looking over your shoulder, you began to walk. Biggs, although heavy, wasn't posing a problem for you to drag... yet.
The first flight wasn't too bad, relatively at least. He was heavy and it was a strain, but you managed. His weight was slowly starting to become a problem, though. The longer you dragged him, the harder it seemed to get. But you were down one flight already, there were just four more to go.
Flight two was a challenge, but gravity worked in your favor. Your arms were growing weaker from the weight, and your back and legs ached. Your already slow paced had grown even slower as you dragged his limp body across the metal floor. This was really starting to get difficult, and you weren't even half way done.
You barely made it to the third staircase. Your muscles were screaming for you to stop, and you didn't know if you had the strength left in you to get him down. But you couldn't give up. Giving up meant death, for him and possibly you. So you made it down the staircase.
You were just steps away from the second staircase when your body could not pull him any further. You simply didn't have the strength or leverage to move his weight. You tried, and tried, but your muscles were far too fatigued to move.
Tears pricked at your eyes again as you sat down to take a break. Hopefully you could get some strength back in time before the plate collapsed - if the plate collapsed. Deep down, though, you knew it was inevitably going to happen.
So you were left at a crossroads: keep trying to drag Biggs down the pillar even if it meant the death of both of you, leave him here and get to safety, or stay here with him. You didn't like any of those options.
A tear dropped from your cheek, you didn't know what to do. He meant everything to you, and you felt helpless in that you couldn't help him. No matter what you chose, someone was probably going to die. And your only option with the chance of saving both of you was something you weren't sure you could physically do. People were evacuating now, surely no one was near the pillar, so how far would you have to drag him? All the way out of the sector by yourself? You didn't know, but it was the only way. So, even though you still felt weak, you readied yourself to drag Biggs the rest of the way down.
The sound of footsteps running down the metal stairs made you freeze in place. More Shinra troops? You placed you hand on your holstered gun as you anxiously awaited the sounds to come closer.
"Freeze!" A voice shouted. Suddenly, two helmeted troops pointed their blasters at you.
You whipped out your gun and pointed it at one of the troops, pulling the trigger then moving to aim at the second troop.
Only no bullets came out. You pulled the trigger again and again. Your gun was empty. And you had just tried to shoot two Shinra troops. Fuck.
"Drop the gun!" The commanding troop shouted, and you did what he said. There was nothing else you could do. At least nothing that would ensure both you and Biggs would make it out alive, but the odds of that happening now were close to none. And you'd come so close, too.
"Hands on your head!" The other one shouted, and they both approached. One of the troops kicked the back of your legs, forcing you onto your knees. Two blasters were pointed at your head from each side, so close you could almost feel them.
You looked back at Biggs, he lay still against the cold metal floor. This couldn't be the end, could it? If they captured you, he'd surely die. If they killed you, he'd also die.
There was no way out of this.
"Got a female assailant in custody, what are the orders?" The superior said into comm in his helmet.
You couldn't stop looking at Biggs. The blood puddle under him was slowly growing bigger. He was bleeding out.
The younger troop pushed your head forward with the barrel of his blaster.
"Head down sweetheart, you don't wanna end up like your buddy over there, do ya?" The troop said. You could feel the cold metal of the blaster on the back of your head. The seconds crawled by painfully slow as the Shinra soldiers decided your fate. If they decided to kill you, the gun was already aimed; a single pull of the finger and you'd be gone. Every breath you took, there was that hyper awareness that it could be your last. You didn't want to die.
"Mhm, copy that," the senior officer shook his head as he listened to the orders, then he turned to the other troop, "Take her out."
A whimper slipped from your lips as soon as he spoke, and both of the troops looked down at you.
"Don't worry, It'll be over before you know it," the you get one said, pushing the barrel of the gun into the back of your head. You squeezed your eyes shut.
A gunshot. Then another.
Except you didn't fall. Someone else did. Two someone else's, on either side of you. You opened your eyes, and there were the two troops, dead on the floor.
You turned around quick to see your savior. And there he was, surrounded in a puddle of his own blood. He was putting all of his upper body weight on one elbow, and struggling to do so. Both his hands were wrapped tightly around his pistol to keep them from shaking. Upon meeting eyes with you, he dropped the gun and fell back to the floor with a sigh.
"Biggs!" You shouted, running to his side.
“I-I couldn’t let them,” he wheezed, “I couldn’t let them hurt you.”
His skin, which was adorned with a layer of sweat, had lost much of its color, and under the fluorescent lights of the pillar, it looked even paler.
“Please, just stay awake for me alright?” You pleaded, taking his hand in your own and squeezing it, “I can’t lose you!”
The clanking of footsteps against the metal staircase caused you to whip your head towards the source of the sound. This time it was coming from the lower set of stairs. Somebody- or more like a group of people- were coming up. You grabbed Biggs’ gun from the ground and got ready.
The tops of their heads came into view first. No helmets - you were probably safe. You lowered the gun. Once their faces came into view, you immediately recognized them. They were other members of the neighborhood watch.
"Help!" you shouted.
A few of the men rushed forward to your side, kneeling down by Biggs. Some searched the level for any more survivors-or bodies, and the rest continued up the stairs, guns in hand, presumably ready for a last stand.
Biggs groaned in pain as one of the men observed his wounds. The man shook his head at the sight.
"We can't waste any time, he's got to get to a doctor now!" He said, and the other two men nodded before lifting Biggs up from the ground. The leader stood up to help them carry him down. Once they had a secure hold on him, they made their way towards the stairs.
"Is he gonna be ok?" You asked, trailing behind the group.
"Don't know," the leader said without looking back.
Just as the men were starting down the stairs, another set of footsteps was running up them. Your eyes widened as you watched saw Tifa come into view. She rushed towards your group, she herself frantic as she looked at Biggs' bloodied, unconscious body. The men pushed right past her, though, not wasting any time getting him off the pillar. She watched for a moment as they descended before turning back up to you, taking the final few steps to be at your level.
"Is he gonna be ok?" She asked. You couldn't even answer over the lump in your throat. Instead, your eyes filled with tears again as you shrugged your shoulders. She placed a hand on your arm.
"Don't lose hope," she tried to reassure, but it was unconvincing, "I'm going to go help the others."
She pivoted away from you, but you caught her wrist in time. She threw her head over her shoulder to look back at you, her gaze both soft and frantic.
"Please... Please come back down. I don't think this pillar's gonna last very much longer," you said.
"I will. I promise." She said, and then she ran towards the next flight of steps.
You rushed down the last flight of stairs, trying to catch up with the neighborhood watch boys. They were a little ways ahead of you, around halfway to the tunnel to sector 6. You ran toward them, and once you caught up to them you slowed to their pace as you walked next to them. Biggs hadn't moved in a while, which was beginning to scare you.
Sector 5 was a long way away, you remembered. And unfortunately the closest doctors were in that sector. Would Biggs last until then? You wanted to believe he would, you wanted to believe he would be ok so badly, but the odds weren't in your favor.
His arm was limp, hanging from his side, and without a second thought, you grabbed his hand and squeezed it. There was a terrifyingly long walk ahead of you, so you squeezed his hand tighter and prayed to any higher power that would listen. He has to make it, you thought, he just has to.

Can you please write headcannons for Biggs being in love with his best friend, who he doesn’t know reciprocates his feelings
Thank you for your request, dear anon! It was so nice to write for Biggs again since he’s one of my favorite characters from FF7. I really hope you like the HCs! :)
Biggs x best friend!reader – being in love with you (HCs)
Biggs has no idea how to tell you about his feelings, especially since he doesn’t know if he’s more than a friend to you as well. He wouldn’t want to ruin your friendship, just because he fell in love with you, so he will probably remain silent about his feelings for quite a while.
He’s a quite sensitive guy who can’t really hide his feelings, particularly not from you. When he’s upset about something it’s pretty obvious to you which makes it even harder for him to keep his secret. He wouldn’t distance himself from you though because he knows that it would make you even more suspicious if he broke off the contact with you.
It’s not that he hates himself for developing romantic feelings for you but sometimes he really wishes he could turn back time. Things were a lot easier when you were nothing more than a friend to him, and he’s definitely afraid to lose you because of his crush on you.
Because of that, it’s hard for him to be around you since he can’t act like nothing happened, although he really tries his best to pretend that everything’s normal. The thing is, you know him well enough to realize pretty soon that something bothers him, so he can’t avoid a conversation about his strange behavior forever. However, he tries to find excuses because he’s incredibly insecure about telling you the truth.
Another reason why he wouldn’t tell you anything about his feelings is that he’s not good with words when it comes to stuff like that. He just doesn’t know what to say, although he usually feels like the two of you can talk about anything.
He feels terrible about having a secret from you but in the end, it depends on your behavior whether he confesses to you or not. Like, when he gets the impression that you like him as well he’s a lot more hesitant but when you act like you don’t care about him in a romantic way, he probably won’t address the issue anytime soon.

Heya, how about a Biggs fluff where reader and Biggs have secret feelings for each other and Jessie teases them? Love your stories <3
Hi
I’m glad you love my stories, I hope this is fluffy enough for you.
Just Ask
Jessie watched from a distance as you and Biggs talked. You blushed a little tucking your hair behind your ear as Biggs smiled and folded his arms. His head cocked to one side a little. You came round often delivering small cakes and pastries in a trailer attached to a pushbike. A little business you had built from scratch, and you were proud of it.
Jessie just sighed and walked down to you both, “Hello love birds,” She said with a smile as she leant over, looking at the cakes and pastries.
She pointed at a few she wanted, you fished them out placing them in a bag accepting the Gill Jessie gave to you, “We aren’t…” You mumbled blushing not meeting Jessie or Biggs’s eyes.
Jessie put a finger to her lips and made a thinking face, “Oh really because you two looked very, very close. Well, my mistake, thank you for the cakes.” She laughed and left.
You glanced at Biggs, face bright red. He scratched his head and looked away a little embarrassed. He coughed and pointed down to a chocolate cake, “I’ll have this one.”
You nodded and passed the cake over accepting the Gill. He didn’t leave, he pulled the cake out slowly and nibbled at it, shuffling his feet. You just kind of looked away and tried to busy yourself with your trailer. Slowly Biggs took a hard stance and coughed. You looked at him.
“So, err… would you, would you like a drink with me?”
Your mouth opened a little and you smiled blushing, “I thought you’d never ask. I’m free tomorrow night?”
“Make it a date? We could go top plate?” Biggs asked smiling back.
“Yes, 7pm? I’ll meet you at the train station,” You reached up and kissed his cheek.
You hopped on your bike, making sure the trailer was shut and waved before cycling on. Biggs smiled and waved back before returning to 7th Heaven. Jessie was smirking, leaning against a wall arms folded. Biggs blushed heavily looking at her, “What!”
“You’re welcome?”
“What do you mean you’re welcome!” Biggs snapped.
“Well, if it wasn’t for me, you wouldn’t have gotten yourself that date, sooo I think some of that cake is mine,” She reached out to pinch some of his cake.
“No way!” Biggs said laughing pushing her away, “And… thank you.”
