you know jane doe does have a personality outside of being sexy, right? she’s incredibly clever and able to read people’s behaviour super easily - and she has hobbies too, like makeup and kinfethrowing.

also, there’s nothing inherently wrong with a character being sexy? sure i think in some cases the fanservice is way overdone, but characters like zhu yuan and grace have the same level of fanservice if not more - their main difference is that they’re not actively flirtatious. the whole philosophy of gacha game character design is to make the characters as appealing as possible, and that’s allowed to include sexual appeal.

in her teaser all she does is run her finger along the npc’s thigh. she’s literally threatening her with murder? she kills people and tortures them as an undercover agent. like, she does equally unforgivable things. there are plenty of valid reasons to dislike jane doe and it’s completely valid to be made uncomfortable by overdone fanservice, but hating her just because she’s designed to be sexy is dumb

i know she does have a personality outside of being sexy but its completely overshadowed by the pure amount of fan service her character has. but i actually dont hate her when she does show other things like in her short animation which shows off how intelligent she actually is.

i also dont mind the fact shes sexy, its just that her fanservice is constant that imo it makes it hard to notice anything actually interesting about her character. also i dont like zhu yuan or grace that much either i just dont hate them like jane cuz they arent constantly in your face. i could barely get through her demo because of how genuinely uncomfortable it is to watch.

also i think your talking about the demo where she interrogates that girl and rubs her thigh, not her teaser where she did assualt sa girl by touching the girls chest with her tail.

but i can understand how i sounded puritan cuz i didnt really go into detail. i just wish zzz had less fanservice. i respect your opinion on her though. her demo and teaser and most of the time her in general make me very uncomfortable.

I think one underrated tragedy of Ice King's scars is that he probably took away Simon's sense of levity.

Like in his very limited appearances before Simon is consumed by the crown we see he's kind of a silly dude. In his introduction video, he only put on the crown in order to playfully tease his fiancee. Plus watching him make light of the loneliness and general misery for a young girl in a broken world. He was a dedicated man, who was generous and loved with his whole heart and threw himself one hundred percent into everything he did. He was also a fun lil guy.

But after almost a millennia of being a mad man, the brunt of every joke, someone who only existed as a broken caricature of himself and couldn't be counted on to take anything seriously, I imagine he was done with it. Now he wants to focus back on his academic endeavors, on his role as a father figure in Marcy's life, on being a proper adult. Any attempts to be silly could easily remind everyone - including himself- of Ice King, something he's eager to avoid.

So his jokes and jibes and general lightheartedness turned to sarcasm and self deprecating comments.
