Bill Lawrence said both Trent AND Dr. Sharon will have "significant roles" this season but we've only had one phone call with Dr Sharon in ep 1. WHERE IS SHE???? Is she gonna have a much bigger role in the next 4 episodes? Or was her big role only true before all the rewrites/reshoots

I've sensed a big ted mental health arc coming this series but its not appeared yet. Also, considering ted's comment about rugby guys mud-caked muscled thighs, maybe we'll get ted talking to sharon about his bisexuality??

I know people got all riled up over Keeley’s Jamie comments last week, but I seriously saw Jack as more of viable romantic option in the episode (textbook meet cute.. prolonged eye contact... way too many Keeley’s POV shots of Jack)... and while I've always been on board with them confirming Keeley's bisexuality, I am annoyed they went this way with it. 

I just think doing it now, and under these circumstances is very counter productive to both the show's overall narrative and Keeley's own character arc. 

From an overall show POV bringing in a love interest and painting them as a fairly viable option during the show's alleged last season, when the previous 2 years have been spent establishing a very good romance instead is so redundant... especially when it is a w/w relationship. That feels both exploitative and reductive. Not to mention that factoring in how Jack fits it the story it is showcasing another problematic boss/employee dynamic for the show. 

As for Keeley as a character, to give her yet another romantic story, when she already has all the work and girlboss things to deal with, and STILL the Roy stuff is very much lingering.... why?! There were so many more interesting plot threads for them to explore... This was unnecessary. Part of the reasons Roy broke up with her, was because he thought she didn't need him, and to see Keeley figure that out on while on her own and still  choose him was the better storytelling approach here. Throwing a whole new romantic entanglement is narratively  unnecessary. 

And BTW, this brings me to another annoying point, because this is where the other characters suffer over reductive and redundant storytelling: it's not only about having Jack seeming pretty great in a lot of ways, but also the show going out of its way to paint Roy in a very bad light within the episode with that "how to treat bullies” spiel... that was not funny... even if I do know Roy would never actually do that, it was waaaaaaay over the line. 

I know almost everyone is holding out for a Roy/Keeley reunion, but I've been saying it since LAST season: I'm getting major Alexis/Ted flashbacks from those two, and I'm not happy.

Jamie is not canonically bi. There was absolutely no indication of him being any flavor of queer on the show. But you know who is?? You know who ACTUALLY deserved a shoutout from Apple TV as the ~Ted Lasso Bisexual~

Like the *wink wink nudge nudge* about Jamie is cute in a Queer-baity way, but why the hell are they not making some noise for the actual bisexual on bisexual visibility day???

Will Byers goes without saying - he's gay and it's canon!

I strongly believe in gay Mike Wheeler and I've been a gay Mike truther since day one (I'm not gonna be upset if he turns out to be bi in s5 - it woud be awesome too - but with the evidence we have right now I'm spreading my agenda)! Also, Mike Wheeler is a demisexual gay boy WELCOME TO MY TED TALK

Max Mayfield and Lucas Sinclair are bi4bi and that's canon too idc what the duffers say!!!

Eleven is harder for me to define - she's definitely sapphic tho (love both the idea of lesbian or pan El)! I'm also really passionate about non-binary El even if I don't think she would label herself as such (given the time period and all) - in a modern au? Definitely!!

Dustin is also a hard one... I think he's straight and maybe on the asexual spectrum! Someone mentioned pansexual Dustin and honestly... I kind of dig it tho if I had to commit I still would say he's straight

we all want the same thing. and that is good representation. abundant representation. we should celebrate all the representation we can get!! they can all be great stories. they can all make someone in our community feel validated and proud and inspired. and they will all make the homophobic/transphobic viewers upset just the same. we’re stronger together. that’s all.
