like sometimes I think a ship can really be done justice by their media. but sometimes I don't trust shows to write ships that are just too perfect, that right stays with weirdos on the internet.

Ships are made 200x better when the actors/ voice actors/ writers/ artists ship them. Like it becomes so imbedded in the characters even if they try not to let it I love is

ted lasso is coming back for a season 4 which means trent crimm is coming back to me which means we’re about to see him on screen for the first time with the confirmed knowledge that ‘trent absolutely had a crush on ted’ which means that—

“Hey fellas, listen up. Have a little somethin’ to talk about.”

The din in the dressing room quiets, fifteen pairs of eyes turning towards Ted. Ted and him. And without a word, Ted slides his hand into Trent’s. He knows his hand is clammy. Knows there’s very few ways to explain away a touch like this. Trent wraps a hand around Ted’s upper arm to settle himself.

There’s no going back now. Trent a breath catches in his throat and the longer there’s silence, the more Trent’s anxiety ramps. Colin is one thing; head gaffer isn’t. Trent is in mayday mode, trying to figure out what to say.

“That’s it. Pay up boyos.”

What.

Colin’s grinning, hands outstretched.

“Off by one fuckin’ day,” Roy grouses. “You couldn’t have done this yesterday? Once a prick, always a prick.”

And that’s how Ted and Trent came out to the team — without actually needing to come out.
