So glad it’s Friday! I’m beat up for some reason so going to pamper, read, and relax! Gearing up for school break soon, I need it! . Going to start the weekend with these amazing beauties! Lately I’ve been incorporating @drunkelephant’s A-Passioni retinol into my pm routine. . Retinol is a powerful anti-oxidant that boosts the activity of skin cells. It is known to have an adjustment period (called retinization) while your skin is getting used it. It is common to experience dryness, redness, irritation, flaking, and/or purging for the first few weeks of retinol use. . I have very dry, dehydrated skin so have been taking this process very slowly. I started only using it once a week, just to see how my skin would react. After about 3 weeks, I have increased my schedule to one night on, two nights off for the last couple weeks. On the “on nights” I will apply a pea-sized amount mixed with two pumps of B-Hydra and a dab of Lala Retro, and then top with Marula Oil. On the “off nights” I really focus on hydration and moisturizing the skin, using hyaluronic acid-rich serums, oils, and sleeping masks. On off nights, I have been incorporating @Herbivorebotanicals Emerald Oil and the @youthtothepeople Superberry Dream Mask. . I am still experiencing sensitization from the retinol, including increased dryness with slight flaking, redness, and a slight burning feeling when products are applied, especially around the corners of my eyes and mouth. I haven’t seen much purging by way of acne (although I don’t tend to be acne prone). I will push through for a couple more weeks to see how my skin responds. . How long do the drunk elephant littles last?

Hard to say! I had a “littles” size of BHydra and used it for a few days (2 pumps each) before giving to a friend (didn’t really wow me or benefit me, later read it works as a toner! should’ve kept it!)
