Drunk Elephant 🐘 . . Andrea and I are neurotic about skincare. Could quite possibly be one of the main things we talk about the most. We both are 10-step cleansing girls. As time has gone on we have introduced and removed products from our regime. But for me, @drunkelephant has consistently been a staple. . . Here I am holding my minis because honestly I couldn’t hold the full sized versions for this shot 🤣 but, I mix my serums and oil into my face cream. . . At night I will use the peptide and in the morning I use lala. Please forgive me in advance but I've become quite preachy about SPF. Summer or winter, concrete jungle or countryside, vacation or staycation; it's irrelevant to me; I wear sunscreen every single day of the year. Even indoors. It has become something of an obsession; I feel slightly anxious when people admit that they never wear it when I love it so much I've even been tempted to wear it to bed (until I told myself to get a grip). I am acutely aware that my devotion to SPF is highly unusual; 95% of the people of colour I know never wear sunscreen unless they are on a beach and sometimes not even then. As people with deep skin tones, we do have a natural SPF of 13 - but when it comes to the sun's damaging effects, the power of melanin is hugely overstated. Melanin is not a magical, sun-resistant shield that repels damaging UV rays. Sun damage can contribute to the development of hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and acne. Needless to say, you should be wearing sunscreen every single day regardless of your skin tone. I understand, for us, white cast from sunscreen residue in a major problem. However, contrary to popular belief, there are many on the market that don't make us look like ghosts. There are two broad categories of sunscreen. The first is mineral, which contains titanium dioxide or zinc. This is the type that people of colour tend to avoid because it often leaves a white residue on our deep skin. The second category is chemical. My personal favourites are physical combined with chemical. I've learnt that you can use all the skin brighteners and pigmentation-busting products in the world (and I'm not talking about skin bleaching here, I do not advocate that in the slightest) but if you don't finish off with an SPF, you are wasting your time and all those age spots, scarring and discolouration issues will, at best, remain unchanged and at worse, intensify. Keep swiping to see my GOATs. With this range of clever formulations, there is no excuse for eschewing a daily SPF. ☀️ S U M M E R • S K I N ☀️ . Part 2 of my #FriyayFaves with @The__Glow__Girl ☺️ I snagged a few pieces from the new @DrunkElephant x @MrChrisMcMillan collection and honestly, I really like everything I’ve tried so far ☁️ I was so excited when this collection was first announced but I had pretty high standards for the products considering how perfect their skincare formulas are - I was not disappointed. I’ve seen mixed reviews about the Wild Marula Tangle Spray - issues with the packaging, etc. - but I have only good things to say about it thus far 💕 The spray nozzle seems to be behaving for me and I love the added boost of shine this gives my curls - such a simple step that makes all the difference. As for the Sili Body Lotion, I found that the soft almond scent is delicate and inviting, and it absorbs quickly into my skin and leaves it feeling moisturized all day 💦 I tried my luck with Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream and actually found it to be quite soothing on my underarms, and it lasted pretty well for a natural deodorant - better than many I’ve tried. I also think the amount of product you get for the price is quite good with this collection, considering the high quality ingredients and visually appealing packaging - I’ll probably be back for more before the @Sephora sale ends ✨ . Also, I just started watching Euphoria the other day (late as usual) and I’m completely hooked already.. the storyline is really interesting and the film style is so artistic it’s almost mesmerizing to watch - plus the soundtrack kicks ass. Not a rant

Well to be honest, i have lost interest in doing the tasks she appoints because everytime i put all my energy and time in doing whatever she asks us to do, all the efforts are going to waste. Either she will not accept our finished work or she will add another tasks that for sure will soon be put to trash. Who else can be motivated to do what she says, right? But i have no choice because in this industry they’re the boss and we’re the slave. And yes, we’re obliged to do what they say. We don’t have the right to complain because no matter what we dare to say, they will always be right.
