he suddenly gives you a mysterious gift. you felt the slight weight of it as you swayed the paper bag.

" thank you, sugaaa! this is really nice, but what's the occasion? " you asked, looking at the gray-haired man. he lets out a snicker. " ohh nothingg~, i just wanted to give you something once in a while, you know? " he replies in a monotonous voice.

you gave him a small smile before taking another look at the bag. "so are you gonna open it? or are you just gonna stare at it all day.." he jokes, chuckling at the end of the sentence.

you returned his chuckle, before finally opening the sealed bag. tearing up the strips of adhesive, you eagerly open the bag. your nose caught a whiff of a very familiar scent.

the source of the scent was coming from the bag. you checked out the inside of the bag, and you see a light-gray colored bear was containing it. you gasped with excited eyes, as you immediately took the plushy out, letting the bag fall on the ground.

you faced the bear in front of your face, observing the gray coat of it. the scent of sugawara's cologne lingered around the plushy. so you directly smelled the tummy of the bear, inhaling the fragrant scent. you slowly moved the bear sideways to reveal your smirking face to suga.

" hmm? the smell seems so familiar.. " you commented, pretending to act clueless. you then take another good whiff of the plushy. " i wonder who it could be?? " sugawara gave out a chortle.

" oh yea, i sprayed some of my cologne on it. just in case, if you missed me, you can just smell it, you knoww? " he says, elongating out the last word. " mhhh hmm, sureee.. " you hummed out while you gave the plushy a good squeeze.

ever since sugawara had given you that scented plushy, you were totally obsessed with it. you had brought it with you to school, the mall, and had traveled with it. the scent of it had slightly faded away, but nonetheless, you still adored the stuffed animal.

the date of your finals was nearing, and you just needed some help with a specific hard subject. fortunately, sugawara was good at the specific topic.

you asked sugawara to tutor you, and he, of course he agrees without hesitation.

he came to your house after school, he had brought some notes of his and the both of you started to study on your desk, that had the plushy displayed

" so to get the answer, you just need to find the LCD and divide it to just add it. did you get it? " he turns to you. he notices how your eyes were set, fixated on the bear plushy.

a heavy sigh leaves his mouth, which draws your attention back to him. startled, you snap your head to him. " ohh uhh.. yea-yea! " you answered in a tone that wasn't quite convincing.

his face softened with a weary expression, his lips pursed as he looked at you. he rests his cheek on his hand. " y/n, i know that tone of yours. you know you can't fool me. " you listened to his words, but you can't help it but have another peek of the plushy.

and he then suddenly cups your face with a hand, facing your head directly to him. " hey, you. i know that plushy is cute an' all, but i'm trying to help you study here, but you're so focused on that plushy. "

a pouty expression appeared on his face, making you feel guilty at the slightest. he hesitates, his lips part with uncertainty as he contemplates on. but with a deep long sigh, he becomes confident to some degree.

" focus on me won't ya? "

♡—KAGEYAMA TOBIO

kageyama had given you a plushy as a toke of his affection. he knew that plushies were your favorite, and he wanted to give you something special to show how much you mean to him.

he was quite nervous giving it to you at first, because he wasn't quite sure you would like it. and to no-ones surprise, you accepted his gift wholeheartedly. he felt relieved after you received his present with a smile on your face. his eyes watched give affection to the plushy, feeling a sense satisfaction to his right choice of gift.

and so, the raven colored plushy had captured your heart entirely. its fur feels so soft at touch, and it's beautifully blue-colored eyes and a cutesy little bear face that screamed cuteness had you keep adoring and giving it every little bit of your attention.

a planned movie date marathon was made between you two.

he had come over to your house late at night, carrying with him a wide variety of snacks and drinks that he knew you loved. he had carefully chosen each item, knowing that you would appreciate his thoughtfulness, and was excited to spend the night watching movies with you.

and once he set foot into your humble abode, something had caught his attention. and it's that it seems like you had another guest. but it's more of a roommate rather than a guest since the esteemed guest was actually living there.

his eyes peered over to the plushy that was sitting on your couch, right at his spot. a scrunched up expression appeared on his face, while he looked directly into the plastic eyes of the plushy.

to him, the plushy looked alive to him. he felt the bear plushy stared right back at him as he stared at it. it seems like he had started a staring competition with it. his nose only scrunched up further when he glared at it longer.

during that time, you were observing his odd deameanor.

you noticed the scrunched expression on kageyama's face as he carefully placed the snacks and drinks on the table, and you could see that see that his gaze was locked onto something. your eyes then followed kageyama's line of sight, only to realize he was looking right onto the bears face.

being slightly confused, you just shrugged it off that he was just appreciating the thought that you loved his gifts.

finally, after preparing the snacks and arranging the couch to be more comfortable, the movie night had finally started.

the opening sequence of the movie rolled in, the bright light of the tv almost blinding you. you sat beside the bear, which was sitting at kageyama's owned spot. kageyama groans as he gave the plush a disapproval sidelong glance.

and as the movie continued to play, you got into a cozy position. you layed your back on the couch, pulled up the soft blanket, and placed the plushy right up to your chest. you snuggled up to the soft head of the plush while you squeezed its ears from time to time.

as you felt warm and comfortable, kageyama was feeling cold. he glanced at you occasionally, feeling a tinge jealousy that your hands were all over the bear and not his. he sighs, as he hugs himself.

the more you cuddled with the plushy, the colder and kageyama seemed to get. he shot fleeting glances at you, as if he wanted to be held by arms instead of the bear. a soft sigh leaves him as he hugged himself a bit tighter, trying to keep himself warm, but he secretly wished that you would give him your attention and to him instead of the plushy.

but after a few long glances later, he had enough. he needed your attention badly. he then follows his first thoughts, grabbing the tv remote with a slight haste.

" whoa! that look so coo— what the?! " the sudden power off of the tv caught you off guard. your head immediately turned to your raven-haired man, he was already looking at you.

you looked at him with a confused expression. " um tobio?? why did you uh.. do that? " you asked, but he didn't reply. he instead moved closer to you. his hands pushed your thighs to give way for him to on your stomach.

kageyama then cuddles himself to you, finally getting the warmth he has been longing for. but there is one more thing he needs to do.

he lifts his head from your stomach, facing you and then looking at the plushy. he gives the plushy a good long look before taking it, removing it from your side. you look at him with a slight shock.

you were about to speak, but you immediately get cut off by him.

" tsk, why are you always paying so much attention to that plushy? you're always cuddling that damn thing. " he states, his tone being a bit upset.

" oh kag— " he cuts you off once again.

" it's not fair, i'm your boyfriend, and that's just some stuffed toy i gave you! that damn stupid plushy.. " his last words trail off as a sudden heat of embarrassment came to his face.

you were quite at a loss for words. ' so that's why he acted that way! he was jealous '

you began laughing at the situation as the man lying on your stomach got more embarrassed. you could clearly see his ears getting pink!

despite kageyama feeling embarrassed after admitting his envy towards the plush, he is just glad he has finally got your attention and he gets to feel your warmth again.

Carapaces!!!!

RC / Raptorial Clerk: RC is one of the archivist on Prospit who deals with mainly Prospit's history and keeping things neat and tidy (just in case if it's needed then carapaces can go to him and retrieve that information) there's other archivists for different sections of society like political, economical, etc. When Midnight City happens / fall of the kingdoms he ends up being a librarian teehee

his origins: and due to his specialties being historical archiving, he's in the same department or area as HK and the two are actually hatch friends!!! YAYYYYY!!!! (they are both smiling)

HN / Harbinger Newel: Newel is just the sort of look the outpost tower he's situated at looks like as seen in the small doodle. He just blows his clarinet looking instrument (i giggle since he choses to play the actual clarinet in CMS) when there's some arrival. There's a certain tune he plays depending on what it is. Enemies/Derse army or Prospit army / workers.

WN / Willowy Notary: She's basically some note taker for court records and such. The cloth covering her eyes is a form of "judgement solely based on the case itself" rather than having any bias (that and I wanna continue her lil "no eyes can be seen" thing going on :D. So like she sits in the court room (grinning so wide when i get to share their architecture and infrastructure) and notates what happens and is being said so that if the case needs to be continued/looked at later to come up with the "right" decision they have a reference. Or if there's important documents being signed and such, she's a witness. (like whatever actual notaries do)

MG / Monoceros Goliath: I thought I was gonna be so smart with the first word, tried searching up for a word to describe a horned animal or synonyms for rhinos (cuz haha helmet rhino beetle) but i got no answer(s) and the ones I did related mainly to constellations. Monoceros mainly just being some Greek word for a legendary animal with a horn so like a unicorn. Weeps guys I'm not cut out for elaborate names.

Also she's (so far) a pawn mainly or somewhere near being a rook but not quite there hence being goliath as she's pretty strong/big for a pawn yay. oh yes and she's well aware of innocent lives (aka farmers or pawns that aren't in either army) and so she'll send out a warning or make it known so said carapaces can evacuate/gtfo (both for Prospit and Derse). Like she wants to make it fair and also avoid unnecessary bloodshed. Or something like that cuz overthinking on it makes me think it sounds silly and odd.

Her armor does have some little pearl-like beads cuz why not :) and- and- and it's supposed to be like constellations with the metal engravings (that im too simple minded to give detail to)

SH / Splendorous Headhunter: Basically she goes out and recruits or finds Dersites (who don't already have a job) some role in society that benefits both the community and themselves. Like she's not just going to randomly assign them jobs but try to understand the individual and go suggest jobs. Cuz like, there's of course other Dersites in this similar role (as her) that don't care. But to SH she thinks of it like "why would I make someone miserable, it makes no sense to force someone to do a job they dislike cuz work won't get done at an efficient rate" that and so there's no strikes-

Midnight Madona teehe i love Powerwolf so much oaugh my goodness (so much so i would've done gone gatekeep em but then i realized. that's corny. and this sorta genre??? is corny on its own in the best way possible, to me :)). but yes im just adding this here because i kept listening to it when drawing this mf

Midnight Madona (Orchestral Version) also the orchestral version fucking ROCKS (and all the other songs they do orchestral versions of) and is what I like to imagine Derse's choir would sound like (the tone or feeling more than the words teehee and of course not with a big ass orchestra track behind ok you know what I MEAN) like do to around the same time stamp as the version above gehehee

I also already kinda explained his whole deal in a previous post. here be CC. But basically, he's more of a figure for individuals to look to either for help or a sense of "oh so this is what we should be doing for our society". So yeah, he's like, the royal family lol, no real political power as he's a lower status bishop. Like, he's a Bishop for the individuals, to ensure they fall in line and yadda yadda support the community and all. Kinda like, a pastor lol

KH / Kinetoscopic Hallucinator: Due to Derse being, ya know, Derse, connections with these fuckassers (horrorterrors) is prone to happen. As we've seen with players and even Feferi having gigglybob and yay yadda Derse Void dreamers yadda. Basically he gets to listen to all the wonderful stories of the past these eldritch beings share with him. Whereas Prospit gets those lil clouds from Skaia to hint at the future. So, he takes the words and stories from horrorterrors as signs of "precautions" or warnings of what may happen in the future. A sort of doomsday gig going on.

Teehe. He still gets to deal with trying to predict Derse's future but that's a bit hard on him so he turns to memorializing Derse's past, and the Horrorterrors give him information that can precede Derse or even what was missed from its history. But it's mainly just them messing with him going "oooh Derse is doomed in the foreseen future! OoooOoooh" and he goes "aight bet" then boom red miles upon ye. Oh and the kinetoscopic thing is just the fact he has his own lil kinetoscope where he enjoys (the process not the actual fact he needs to listen to them) trying to figure out what the Horrorterrors tell him and depicts it as short stories and then draws frames for a lil animation. He just replays them only to get a sense of dread lol. Later on just outcasts himself in his tower to deal with the horrorbobs instead of looking like a loon in front of everyone, possibly to Derse's moon because ahA obvious motifs! of like, the horrorbobs keeping him chained down and yeahhh

It's basically the medium or locations for Sburb/Sgrub but at the moment I'm more focused on Carapace + etc instead of trolls and humans. I ain't no physic astronomer or something so I'll go back and change things up if it's needed but like, I can bs some stuff right??? yeaaahhhhh.

The idea is like I know it's made for the game but what if no game??? It still very much takes after the set up for the medium with Sgrub but woe upon yet.

The locations of Prospit and Derse is why HK (Historiographic Knitter) and KH (Kinetoscopic Hallucinator) are able to look into the future/past. Due to the locations of their respected planets

HK being on Prospit can receive snippets of the future but it's all randomized so it's like she needs to put it all together, or just write down what she sees. She uses these to make stories or piece them together then create textiles for them along with the stories recorded of the past

KH being on Derse, yeah you read his gig.

Skaia: Trying to deal with what the point of Skaia is for both sides. I think I'll go with it's just been so embedded in both societies to either protect or destroy it that carapaces at this point just need to continue what their ancestors had fought for. Honestly, I'm just going to go with Jack Noir doing his red miles thing and destroying Prospit and Derse then killing (almost) all soldiers and the Kings on the battlefield leaving Skaia dormant. (But then whYYyy would he do that in this context)

Midlay: Basically this version's planet of where exiles go and where Midnight City will soon be made.

The Veil: just asteroids to make traveling to and from Prospit and Derse to be dangerous-ish so it's not like carapaces can just go to the opposing planet and cause chaos. If it's really needed then there's only a handful of carapaces suited for that job.

Dream Bubbles: I know it's thanks to Feferi that they're a thing, so they're not a part of this actual universe, BUT I thought they were just cool to include where I think they'd go.

In terms of like biology/features of carapaces:

I'm going with Carapaces either being like RC where they got them bug-wuggy/crusty marine life features or like HK with a more chess-come-to-life sort of look, thinking it might just be from the cloning? or however these freaks are made getting fucked over with the system or something, just cuz it could be like "oh it derives from chess pieces but also some bug-crustaceans-alien thing" and sometimes the bug-crustacean just wins. It's totally not so I can shit and giggle with other designs and stuff, what??? no. And then of course carapces can have spawn of their own, but lay eggs yadda yadda and so some of these features can get passed down and such. It's just cloning is used in both kingdoms to ensure there's a steady flow of carapaces to work on the planets or get thrown into battle and yeah.

NOTE AS OF NOW: I just copied and pasted information i had saved on them all and so I will most likely go back and fix things up, or make a new post if it's anything major like "Oh I'm changing this character up" but yeAH

I just wanna know, what other fandoms do you like other then Kirby?

Oh thanks for asking!! In terms of fandoms I’m really just active here in the Kirby world right now. And it’s been just lovely. But in terms of other things I like, I have lots :D

Is this a good excuse to show off my figure and pin collection and talk about the other stuff I like? I’m going to take it. If that’s something interesting to you I’ll throw it under the cut here. :D

(I’ve redacted some pins from my personal life that are not fandom relevant) but here’s my little pin tapestry! It’s a work in progress but I love collecting pins!! It’s not the best photo but if anyone genuinely wants to see an individual pin or charm up close just ask :P

So just from this tapestry, I’ve got Kirby of course. And Kingdom Hearts as I’ve mentioned before. But I also play Genshin (as a Childe main hehe), love me some Star Wars (I need to watch the second season of Bad Batch I am just nervous for these characters lol), Jojo, Animal Crossing (Stitches is my favorite villager! Who’s yours?), SpongeBob (I am capable of an entire conversation made up of old SpongeBob quotes), Game Grumps/Starbomb, and up there near the top right is an Ava’s Demon pin from its first Kickstarter, and uhhh -coughing- a Homestuck pin from like 2013 -cough- I took the classpect quiz back then and I was a Mage of Breath plus John is my favorite character

Oh- and along the bottom it’s hard to see but I also really like Steven Universe, Undertale, Our Flag Means Death, Good Omens (not pictured but I hope to own some merch soon), and Breath of the Wild (haven’t gotten to the rest of the series yet but I’m interested in it!)

Here’s some more Kingdom Hearts and also Monsters Inc which I LOVE SO MUCH! Monsters University is my favorite Pixar movie, it’s very sentimental to me. Can’t believe I get to live in a world where Sora meets Mike and Sulley <3

Finally just another little display. I’ve collected Sorcerer Mickey stuff for a long time. Fantasia had a big impact on me when I watched it as a kid. And also a little lone Mami Tomoe figure who is my favorite from Madoka Magica , and was the first anime I ever watched. (One heck of an intro to the anime scene right??? Lol)

And finally there’s other stuff I’m really into that aren’t pictured like Pokémon and Fnaf and probably lots of others. I do love me some Pokémon tho. Dragonite is my favorite!!!!!! :D

Okay, so keep in mind that this is coming from someone who never watched Transformers Prime all the way through and knows about this guy a lot through osmosis.

That said, I do think that there's something so interesting and compelling about the basics of Predaking's background that could act as a catalyst to have all sorts of contemplations on everything from the nature of mass extinction to the destructive and self-destructive consequences of warfare, capitalism, and imperialism.

Like, just the fact that Predaking's a clone from the species of cybertronians that went extinct long before TFP's timeline and who was created to be a weapon of war already means that this guy's existence is ripe with all kinds of horrors. And of course all of that is exacerbated by the other cybertronians mostly treating him like a dumb dangerous animal at best or as someone to kill off once he presents a potential threat at worst. Plus there's some really juicy glimpses into how he really wants a family and was really looking forward to more predacons being brought into existence up until both Autobots and Decepticons decided should all be blown up instead. With all of this going on, and with basically everyone else treating him so horribly no matter how intelligent he is and no matter how much he expresses his loyalty to Megatron in both words and deeds (until he realizes how completely he was betrayed) you can understand why he's so angry and such a violent bastard for a good chunk of the series. And he's a big guy, but he's also so young! And from the moment he emerged from a tube you had the closest beings he had to guardians telling him to go kill other guys and not caring about him beyond that! He literally had to teach himself how to read!

Not to mention that in addition to these things about Predaking as an individual, the thing about the extinction of the predacons, like that of our own dinosaurs, is that it was brought on by a completely indifferent cosmic event. I know the main focus of Transformers as a series is on how the Autobot-Decepticon war messed up Cybertron, but tbh I really like the addition of reminders that the universe itself can and will kill you too. Definitely adds another layer to the fucked up nature of warfare; like when you have so much working against you on the cosmic and natural scale, it does show warfare to be incredibly stupid.

I know it's nowhere near canon, but that is one of the reasons why it's my headcanon that Shockwave decided that it would be a logical step to try his hand at bringing back the predacons partially to be weapons of war but mainly because he concluded that restoring their species would be an important step in helping Cybertron recover. I mean, as carnivorous as the predacons were at least THEY never destroyed the biosphere lol.

(tbh I do also like the idea that Predaking comes to develop something of a superiority complex over other cybertronians, at least for awhile, not because of his strength but because of the fact that it was the transformers and not the predacons who deliberately destroyed their home planet).

So yeah, I know that in the show Preaking and the other predacons get all kinds of shit from both Autobots and Decepticons for being violent and savage, but when such statements are coming from bots who quite literally decimated their entire biosphere there's a LOT you could do with pointing out how hollow such accusations ring. It's a very poor predator that destroys the basis of its diet, after all, and I do think there's a really interesting and timely critique you could make on our own globalized civilization as it currently stands by simply noting that for as much as there's been and still is a constant sneering at animals and even many groups of humans for being "dumb" and "uncivilized," the true horror and stupidity lies in having made a civilization and waging never-ending warfare that is literally destroying the basic elements of survival. As such, to me Predaking seems like an great character through to which to both explore a lot of different horrors, but also to offer an alternative ideology to the whole Autobot-Decepticon thing in terms of being like "frag you and your omnicidal drama I want a planet that can give me and mine a good meal every day forever."

Lichen and Moss ~ Blog 9

As we near the end of the semester in this course, I can say with certainty that I am a Nature interpreter, and that interpretation is all around us. It works to enrich our daily lives and serves as a motivator when we may least expect it. In our textbook reading for this week, one story struck me. A father and his son were visiting Gunnison National Park, but the boy was eager to leave the trail. One man noticed the pair and offered to take them to a spot where they could see a bighorn ram. The son was in awe, and now he was refusing to leave the trail as he was memorized by the animal. Honestly, if I saw one in real life too, I would also be memorized. This moment in the boy’s life was probably a stepping stool in his future with nature. It shows that unexpected experiences can change one’s life.

For this week's blog, we were asked to write about the most amazing thing we know about nature. Recently I started watching this documentary on Netflix called “Life on Our Planet”. I haven't watched a Nature series in a while, but I thought why not? This series is like no other I’ve ever watched, and I highly recommend anyone who has Netflix to check it out! It recounts the evolution of our planet and all the stages of life and hostility on Earth.

Before the age of the dinosaurs, our planet was completely desolate and inhospitable. According to the documentary, it almost resembled the moon, covered in dead volcanoes and craters. I know for me it's hard to imagine our world like that, but it's also immensely fascinating that it used to be like that. However, even before this, life underwater had thrived for more than a billion years. From this emerged lichen, a curious life-form that is neither a plant nor an animal. Almost like fungi, and they are a combination of fungi and algae. Lichen spread rapidly over our planet and worked to break apart and infiltrate rocks that covered the land. Producing soil, and I’m sure we’re all familiar with the life-bearing properties of this medium.

From this first development of soil, came moss; which ruled and carpeted the planet for 40 million years!! This brought forth the evolution of plants that had lignin, which strengthens the cell walls of plants, allowing them to grow upwards. Trees and all different types of plants start shooting up, growing closer to the sky to get the best access to sunlight. Trees are the tallest living organisms on our planet, and this green evolution made the land hospitable to animals, insects, and all different types of creatures.

It’s honestly crazy to think that lichen and moss gave rise to all the greenery we see on our planet. Now when we look at plants, we know that their beginning was simple yet so profound that it changed the face of the Earth. I find that simply amazing, and I stumbled upon this finding because I wanted to watch a new documentary on Netflix. There’s beauty in the small things in life, quite literally.

TODAY’S EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Koku you amethyst time!!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 And it’s apparently the moment that the show’s staff have been waiting for just as eagerly as I have because it’s the best looking episode not just of this season but maybe… of the entire series since its inception…????!! I genuinely can’t think of another one that has Multiple dedicated cuts of detailed action in a row like the sequence from kyou kai snapping on the mountain road to the encounter between shin and kyou kai + rai do and koku’ou at kan ki’s camp, and certainly not one anywhere near as good looking, it’s such a treat…!!!!!!!

[quick aside, before I forget I want to add that rai do is addressing shin as ‘obocchan’ in the last cap above :DDD truly the gift that keeps on giving]

And anyways that’s without even touching on how good this sequence would be regardless of looks because it’s still Amethyst Plot time 🥰❤️💞❣️💓💍💘 Bi hei giving in to peer pressure in just the kind of moment of weakness that you can’t actually detest him for (of course you would want to believe him when he tells you it wasn’t a civilian village..), kyou kai absolutely fucking snapping, the cool head ten maintains between trying to hold shin back and immediately pivoting the hi shin unit to a defensive formation for the real possibility that shin and kyou kai actually start pvp against the kan ki army , and of course shin and kan ki putting their cards on the table :)))))

^ my favourite panel of him ever now animated!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 and my favourite moment in the exchange between them, shin’s is still yet to come (I think all his talk in this week’s episode about kan ki not being equipped to handle sei’s dream of unification *is* sweet and sincere but it’s also dumb and that’s why kan ki is able to refute him so easily; the point that really matters and where his moral stance becomes unassailable, for me, is in the fact that it’s all for hyou’s sake. there’s no counter-argument about what you may or may not be turning a blind eye to there, it’s the mandate made absolute and incorruptible instead…) but this is maybe my favourite line of kan ki’s ever… he’s just following through on the promise he made you; these are the rules you agreed to play by! 🥰🥰🥰 i don’t even need to go into the premium emycore aspect of ever part of this sequence lol, the indulgence of it all…

also I was pleasantly surprised to see that they preserved just about all all of the gore from the scenes covered in this week’s scenes; there are some minor changes (the zhao soldiers kan ki is having the saki clan interrogate early in the episode are shown a little less mutilated than they are in the manga, and there’s no nudity) but they really are minor which bodes pretty well for the saki clan artworks coming up soon :~) I think there’s a chance we might not see that scene until the week after next since next episode’s primary focus will of course be Bi Hei And The Hi Shin Unit as per the ep title, but i’m so curious to see what they do with it since the anime has *always* omitted saki and saki-adjacent activities in the past. but I won’t get ahead of myself when we still have all of bi hei’s crisis to savour first :D

also, in shin’s speech telling kan ki off, we got a little additional visual of ran dou from sanyou campaign! always on the lookout for scenes from s1-2 appearing in flashback in the current art style <3

and i really had forgotten what he looked like lol even though this is another scene I absolutely adore for similar reasons to the one in the camp in this episode - though there’s no mou ten around to step in and defend shin this time, of course… :)

2 This is a fic my friend is writing for a collage class (I'll maybe send a doc if I get permission and you want to read) but it's basically Horace and Dana bonding with Horace being the first guy to not stare lustful at Dana or harm her in anyway while she's not scared of his appearance so the two find some sort of ground to step on and open up together. She said she's trying to write it in a way that Horace will wonder if he would ever had a life with her in it if they were alive (cause we argue what years these two are from cause there's literally NO HINT in clothes/items that help unlike the others)

3 As promised I want to a somewhat happy ask, What are you headcanons of the ghost being "imaginary friends" for some kid? It's a known fact for children to have friends no one else sees as well as it known a chance is the friend is actually a spirit or ghoul. I like to picture George was the most happy to be a little kid's friend since he was a dad before death

As for the times Dana and Horace lived, I THINK there were newspaper clippings in Damon’s shop that hinted or even gave dates, if that helps. I’m almost certain Dana died in the mid-late 90s, making her the second newest ghost after Jean. I always imagined Horace dying earlier, but not by too far. The scrapyard shut down at his death, right? I think…!? What was left of the car models could date him if so, and if identified, but I’m not a car person. 😂

Now see, THIS is adorable. I’m sure George would be a great imaginary friend to a kid, and one that would freak the parents out every time the child referenced him. He’d certainly be the best at the job, too, because…

Billy: He’d be a bossy jerk. Imaginary friend? More like imaginary bully, making them do what he wants and play exactly how he plays all the time. (Cowboys and Indians, of course.) He’d criticize them and do things the kid would get in trouble for constantly. Good luck to them trying to explain their imaginary friend did it… :/

Jimmy: I think he’d be uncomfortable. He doesn’t hate kids, he just doesn’t understand them and thinks they can be kind of irritating. He doesn’t enjoy explaining everything while they ask, “Why, why, why?” over and over. Like, “Why do you roll your head around instead of wearing it?” and he’d be like, “Jeez…”

Susan: She likes kids! Remember her with Bobby? Her favourite game to play with kids is see if she can startle them into tears. It’s great fun (for her). Evidently she’s not very responsible.

Royce: Royce doesn’t want to babysit, and that’s all that’s coming to me right now. Maybe somehow he could warm up to them, however, and treat them like a little brother or sister? (Sometimes I headcanon he had one, but I’ll save that explanation for another day because I did get an ask about it.)

Dana: No tender feelings towards the little gremlin at all; she just wants everyone to leave her the heck alone and stop staring. Frankly, the kid would be in some danger potentially.

Margaret and Harold: They don’t want to hang out near kids, either. Margaret only loves and has time for her son, and Harold would get outrageously jealous anyway.

Ryan: Oh gosh, he’s so unpredictable even to himself. There’s no way in hell he’d be comfortable around a child, but I’m in love with the idea of him gritting his teeth through it and then secretly growing fond. I think there would have to be a certain degree of himself he sees in them in order to be curious and connect; Ryan’s one to seek out familiarity.

Day -2

Dear Diary,

I know what you're thinking.

Why start at -2? Why not start at 0 or 1?

Well it's simple, really. I made this blog 3 days before my first day at work, so 'Day 1' is the beginning of actually working there. When you think of diaries you don't normally think of negatives but hey-ho, that's the way I've done it and it's sticking.

Anyways! Since you've come this far (or you've spotted it early, lucky you), I'll use it as an opportunity to talk about what's led up to me getting a job, and a bit about me.

I've grown up in an unusual and rural way, living mostly on farms. And granted it's been nice, after all growing up around animals is a genuinely pleasant way of life and helps you understand a surprising a lot about the world quickly. But, you do have to sacrifice some amenities that seem standard, like privacy beyond your house during the day (with farm 1) and toilet plumbing (with farm 2), but it's whatevs.

Few years ago I started the journey to University. Had to make an application for it as part of college's scheme to get students into universities, so I picked one close and went through the courses alphabetically til I found one interesting. Stopped at Archaeology, never made it to B.

And during that first year, things were tough but I ended up making some of the best friends of my life there. Through it, I felt alright in the end, though admittedly I didn't really care much about the education side.

Then second year came about, and I won't lie it began a bit rocky. I moved in with my housemates (the friends I made last year) and turns out, people who live in normal conditions and people who live on farms clash a little over ways of life (that and over the summer I got an OCD diagnosis, yay). But, after a bit, things slowly stabilised; there were arguments and the like but in the end we made it through.

I was also struggling a lot with assignments. Couldn't focus, couldn't deliver assignments to any personally-decent quality, all in all just became a struggle after another. Wasn't really feeling it for University, but I also didn't want to leave my friends, so I was stuck in a bit of a dilemma.

TW: Animal Death

Then, near the very start of 2024, my Border Collie Alfie passed away. I'd grown up with him, literally, for the past 18~ years. Saw him from rescue pup when we got him to his sundown years, and I'm glad he lived a long and happy life. But when he did pass, it hit me like a truck. I'd never had a close death before, and I didn't know how to cope. So much had changed, and I felt it was the right time to really change things, so I began the process of withdrawing from university.

Initially, I didn't want to do anything at all and just wanted to stop one difficulty. For about a month, I was idly looking for jobs, but nothing serious. Then I partially reignited a desire to go back to University, this time in a different part of the country, but that's fizzled out. However during that reignition, I put in more effort to get a job, and...

...Well, I ended up here. Ended up getting 2 job offers in 1 day, and I took them both! One's seasonal (aka not this one), and the other's hopefully one that'll evolve into something full time (after all this is entry -2, I haven't been to work yet!). Pirating TOH... And Amphibia?

Disney further shot themselves in the foot with their homophobia when it comes to TOH, because I’m pretty sure this is gonna affect the amount of official ratings they get.

After all, people now feel inclined to pirate the remaining episodes, because they don’t want money going to Disney thanks to its bigotry. Part of the reason people would want to support the show is in hopes of a prequel or spinoff, but again; With Dana having self-professed moral quandaries with the company, TOH not fitting the brand for being serialized, and probably also for being queer if recent news is any indication...

Again, we probably won’t get anymore TOH content after this. Even the hopes of a Young Eda prequel isn’t looking great, because such a story would HAVE to involve Raine as a main cast member and love interest; Raine, who is NB and trans, in opposition to the politicians and bill that Disney has funded. Unless the writers get around this by having Raine be an egg for most of the show and thus passably cis, only realizing their NB identity near the end (which that self-discovery WOULD be neat to see, albeit not under this type of restrictive context), a Young Eda show doesn’t seem likely.

Which is a shame of course; But also, the Season 3 movies are also into production. It’d be a waste of money NOT to finish and release them regardless, plus Disney will still get some views from TOH’s new episodes, even if they might be less than usual... Regardless, if the end of the show is a given, supporting the show would only support Disney, and/or a spin-off. And since the latter doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen because of the company’s bigotry... Then people have no reason to support Disney; They have reason not to even, which leads to pirating.

This means Disney gets less views and suffers! So not only is their treatment of TOH disheartening, their bigotry and the show’s late status in production is just incentivizing people not to officially support it; Because it doesn’t seem like we’ll get anything from it, and will instead be supporting a company we hate. If there was at least something we got out of this, like more content, people might be more willing to overlook the bigotry to fork over the views, especially if the content is queer.

But there’s nothing for us; Only reasons to pirate. And that’s all Disney’s fault as far as I’m concerned... Now naturally, a part of me still wants TOH to go down with great numbers, because who knows? Maybe the idea of a spinoff isn’t totally off the table, especially if the ratings are great and if public scrutiny convinces Chapek to save face by green lighting a new TOH show; Just to show Disney is NOT homophobic, and keep us watching! Plus, more money could mean more budget, which leads to a more polished and finished product in Season 3; Even if it’s gonna be finished regardless, we’d want it to be the best that it could be, right? And we’d want the crew to be paid well... Or is that not how it works; More ratings and money doesn’t necessarily mean better wages for the workers who actually made the show, if any?

Regardless, Disney really only has themselves to blame for any sabotage and shortcomings. Coming from someone who’s also a fan of Amphibia, THIS batch is the last one, and Matt Braly hasn’t discussed the idea of spinoffs as far as I’m concerned. It’s basically done and animated, and Matt said Disney needed ratings ASAP, hence why they’re airing Amphibia with TOH starting next week. Maybe that’s just what they told him to justify getting Amphibia and TOH, story-driven shows, out of the way ASAP...

But if Disney really is hoping and banking on views out of desperation, a part of me is tempted to say don’t give them that. Support TOH officially perhaps (to prove queer rep as financially viable), but definitely pirate Amphibia’s last episodes for spite. Unlike TOH, Amphibia doesn’t have any content after this batch that is still in production after all. So this could be our way of sticking it to Disney; Plus we’ve at least still got Thai rep in The Ghost and Molly McGee, which Disney is definitely pouring its money and hopes into.

With Raya, Shang-Chi, and Turning Red, I doubt Disney is going to pause on Asian-starring projects if Amphibia’s last batch doesn’t get good ratings; So Asian rep won’t suffer for it, I presume. So then... Why not stick it to Disney, who has already done Amphibia so dirty as well, and then has the audacity to demand more money from its ratings? Perhaps us queer and/or ally Amphibia fans, who at least have our full run and nothing to lose (if Matt’s chosen lack of a trailer is any indication), can show solidarity and support to TOH’s treatment by making this statement? Pirate Amphibia as a protest to Disney’s bigotry in general, when they make Asian rep but cut back on queer people; Because you can’t just choose one Disney, it has to be both! Queer Asians can definitely confirm that.

Maybe there’s someone who can illustrate why this would be an ultimately risky and costly move, but otherwise... Yeah, I’m not really sure if I want to be supporting Disney after this. I’m not sure if the creators of these shows even want or need us to at this point, is all I’m saying; So maybe we could stick it to Chapek by pirating. What do you guys think, is it worth the risk or not? Would this hurt the actual creators of the show too much, or even at all; At least, not enough to justify supporting Disney? Ofc I don’t want things to reflect badly on the creators either, and obviously Disney would realize WHY ratings are low (as a protest to their bigotry not people being disinterested), but might still use that as an excuse to claim these shows and their rep aren’t profitable.
