Let's talk about something less emotionally devastating.
One of the new ships from this season:
Tumblr media
And sparrow:
Tumblr media
Like I knew from the first lore about these two back in Y1 that they're gay af, but this is literally undeniable. It's as much of a confirmation you can get for two incredibly niche lore-only characters.
For real. "Room for two?" And the specification that Marcus is telling Enoch? And then the sparrow that very much implies that Enoch purchased it for him?
So happy to know these gay people have been in a happy relationship for 8 years.

Hi this is a post where I go crazy over stuff I read on c!george's dsmp wiki page 😁👍
Under the read more because it gets a bit long, this is a very unserious analysis(???) ^_^
Tumblr media Tumblr media
King george I never moved on from you,,,,,, and he also never moved on from his kingship, I didn't get to add something because of the image limit but in a introduction to a new character much much later in the lore, the wiki says he introduced himself as "the king of the dsmp still" like GIRLLLL, and that days after the dethronement he was asked about his feelings on it and he said he didn't care about it...... so what's the truth.... ☹️
Also pig george I'm crying icb that's a thing in the wiki agshshdhjfjf, he's just a little guy
Tumblr media
C!George was so based they silenced him....
Hello, he should've stayed in a team with c!dream since the beginning, they had the same goals hello.... Also underrated lore was politician c!gnf, swag2020 was better prepared than pog2020 but because everyone watched from their povs, george and q were seen as the bad guys. Can we talk about how it was c!george the first one to say the whole thing about wanting the server to be one big happy family, I'm crying
Tumblr media
THIS IS WHAT I WAS SAYING HELLOOOO GEORGE PLEASE LET ME STUDY YOU UNDER THE MICROSCOPE
"George took pride in being king and enjoyed his title" he loved being protected by dream and how he did everything for him, they were both freaks in that arc oh my god.... dorry.
c!george's apathy and carelessness were such great parts of his character I'm so serious. Like on one side he doesn't care about anything so he's going to sleep through every drama, but at the same time he cares about everything so he's going to participate and instigate conflict and he just wants his friends...
Tumblr media
I'm not breathing. Can anyone hear me. Can we talk about this. He wanted to visit. Hello. He impulsively went to visit dream. He was angry c!dream was in prison hello. He wanted to go in so badly he risked it all and broke a block from the prison instead of going in and asking c!sam like normal and then he was banned from ever going in
do you think one of the reasons he later was seen standing in front of the prison but never going in was that ban??? I mean, besides the guilt and pain that brought him thinking about c!dream. Is this why on his last lore stream where he dreams about meeting dream post prison and being confronted about never visiting him and george saying he didn't know he could've asked was because Sam threatened him??
Tumblr media
That whole stream where tubbo, ranboo, foolish and george were gambling with XD for items could be seen as not canon lore but think about how funny it would be, like so many streams XD is in are so random (mainly because dream wanted to goof around the server without pulling his mc character out of pandora but shhh) they all could be taken as dreams from c!george or other characters like c!foolish
C!DNF couple goals being both stuck in prisons (c!dream in pandora, and c!george in a bedrock box). also the dethronement already happened by this point but dreamXD proclaming c!george the king of chaos is making me cry so much, what's up with cc!dream giving george the king title again..... idk im gonna overthink this a lot
Tumblr media
"It was given to George by Dream himself and was George's only highly valuable item." let's take a second to process this- c!george's most valuable item was a non enchanted shield that c!dream gave him, in the image it doesn't show but the shield had the blue brick pattern because it represented the obsidian wall c!dream built around new l'manburg after c!george's house was vandalized. AND IT'S HIS MOST PRECIOUS ITEM HELLOOOOOOOOO, it was the only thing he had left of c!dream and it was his most valuable item over his weapons, beckerson and the netherite armor XD gave him...... ok.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one is really interesting because the relationship tab is not really accurate with the descriptions lenghts so i find really interesting how they made c!dream's description the longest one while c!sapnap's description was like 2 lines long 😭😭
Ok but this description is so sad, "They stuck by each other's side. [...] But as time flew by, they seemed to get more distant." I don't agree that the dethronement was "spontaneous" because c!dream did say that he did it because he cared about c!george and he didn't want him to keep losing his stuff to assasination attempts and because of the danger of being associated to c!dream... plus the other reasons of c!george not staying neutral to the dsmp faction.
It haunts me that they never got to talk to each other once c!dream got in pandora and their relationship was left like that in "bad terms" because of the dethronement but the way they both thought about each other with c!dream wanting gnf to visit him and talk, and c!george dreaming about dream leaving the prison and being a team together again..... idk c!dnf my doomed yaoi..........
Also cgeorge seeing XD as a stand-in for cdream is the funniest thing he misses him so much he dreamt god looks and sounds like his ex imghjhdkjfhdkfhkghk
Tumblr media
"me and the bad bitch i pulled by being whimsy and heartbroken (im scared of him but dont tell him)" -c!george, probably.
again there's stuff i didnt put because of the image limit but reading the wiki was so crazy there was stuff i didnt remember that are now feeding my cgnf brainrot, he's such a silly guy i really like his character :( aaaa feel free to send me asks to talk about him or dsmp lore in general, i probably have bad takes on other stuff but whatever,,, i stay silly

AU lore dump!
In this AU, grim walkers are kinda like a Alterhuman/wolfwalker/werewolf mix. After Hollow Mind ,Hunter runs off into the woods,(goes on all fours!) (edit: he trips like the idiot he is, and shifts then.) and shifts into his wolf form, (which I have dubbed Phantom, hence the name of the AU) and instead of going to hexside, he finds a cave  where he hides out for a while (4/5 weeks), stealing food and blankets, and transforming the cave into his den
While this is happening luz is freaking out,due to no one having glimpsed hunter in weeks. And on top of that, there is a strange wolf( in this AU, Wild Canines are from the demon realm,so not that weird) haunting (see what I did there?) the streets, stealing food and other things. She things it looks familiar, but she cannot place her finger on in. Phantom becomes a celebrity, and befriends luz (I sort of call Phantom and Hunter to separate entities, even tho they’re the same person, System style) then Hunter builds up confidence to reappear, and starts making small appearances, like a ghost (Hahah. maybe one of them should be a bus disappearance thingy) and luz is less scared that he got caught. Finally, hunter appears on the owl houses door step, and gets melded with the owl fam. The time frame for this part of it is 1-2 months. To make it less suspicious that right when he vanished that phantom appeared, and vice versa, he sneaks out at night and makes appearances, and sometimes during the day. He lies that he “is just a fan” of phantom (kinda selfish bro)( to be extra sneaky, he draws phantom [he’s good at drawing] and fakes being a bad lier.) and keeps tabs on his image. Luz starts to get suspicious(“he says he is a fan of phantom, and phantom is a friendly boy, but Hunter never is to bet found when phantom is around and vice versa. Also, phantom appeared right after he went missing, and Hunter never talks about were he was/is during is absence. Also. Fangs, he is crepuscular, he is very defensive of his stuff/friends,his eyes glow, he has strange abilities , he is mostly carnivorous, his hair grows fast, also, they two look smiliar.they have to be the same person!”) and tries to prove her suspicions. This doesn’t go well.
Orrrrrrrr they (hexsquad- hunter) get kidnapped and Hunter saves them using his wolfie powers, but then has to explain why he has them. Only Luz knows till human realm. They are stuck there for a year.
Canon deviations
day of bs is in 10-11 months
Hexsquad is in HR for a year
Labyrinth runners is changed and later
Hunter has enhanced abilities after the first shift
Edge of the world is FAR later than canon
Wild Canines(coyotes, wolves, foxes, hyenas, exc) are from the BI
My HC of him being coy-wolf coping link is changed (wolf therian, both psychologically and spiritually)
Hunter lives with the owl fam after the first part.
Luz is otter-link
Amity is cat-hearted
Lumity is a4a (alterhuman 4 alterhuman)
Belos  is not actively after the owl fam. Also he does not quite learn Hunter has unlocked his wolf form until abt a month or two before the day of unity
Luz still knows that hunter is a grimwalker, but doesn’t know what it is, and there isn’t anything really on them.(she also forgets Abt it cause she’s bad at remembering stuff){as we see in canon}
Hunter goes to hexside, but besides the EEs, no one knows that he was the gg. (IT RHYMES)(He takes the potion track[most fanfics],Beast-keeping[wolfyness] and bard[vocal mess of wolves]bump allows him to use flapjack as an aid.)
   Notes
Hunters style is alterhuman grunge .
Flapjack knew most of the previous Golden Guards. HE DOES NOT CUT HIS HAIR IT LOOKS DUMB. Luz and the hex squad are suffering from adrien agrest syndrome( means they are oblivious) hunter uses he/it/they pronouns.( “hunter here with he/it pronouns and a wish to he/it [hit] Belos”) when hunter has been in his witch form for too long, his chest starts to ache/hurt, and he can be annoyed easier. he has three different forms, witch( canon, but with fluffy hair that looks like a mix of his hair and the hair eda had when she first meet king, sharper and longer teeth, what could be classified as claws, a stronger that the “normal” of smell; sight; bite force, can jump higher, is supernaturally fast and agile ,at least by non-magically enhanced standards, especially high stamina and a alter human grudge style), semi witch ( wolf form teeth, kinda claws, harpy eda hair, wolf form ears and tail, extra sharp smell; eye-site; strong bite force and can jump really freaking high, and is fast, agile, and durable ) and wolf (literally a wolf hunter with enhanced wolf abilities) Hunter has more self-esteem than canon. He’s still kinda a bad boy.
Extra
possible AU Of this AU where Hunter unlocked his wolf form at about 4-5 ish. Belos has used in as an Attack/guard dog. hunters wolf form has a cream collar with a gold emperors coven sigil as the tag, gold cuff thingys on his paws, sharpening his claws. Belos  told him it was a curse, and gives him a tonic to “keep the wolf under control” (this is obviously a lie, this is a domestication potion which is used in feral animals, basically making hunter way more submissive, laid back[when applicable, it sometimes makes him far more aggressive] and more dog like than canon)two variations are possible : Luz knows, changing the plot drastically, and Luz is oblivious, having little to no effect on plot.
great huh!?

Fandom Deep Cuts
Tagged by @drgrlfriend : okay apropos of this post —
tag a writer if you’d like them to share a never-before-seen playlist/moodboard/bit of background lore from one of their fics!
So, I'm going to be talking about Cluster Got Your Back, Bro, which is my Sense8 Avenger's AU. I'll ramble about it for a bit, and then I've got a scene that got cut.
So, when I look back the thing that frustrates me most about this fic is the failure to live up to the diversity of Sense8 itself. Everyone is white, I managed 2 women out of 8, and despite Bruce being in India and Bucky starting out in Afghanistan, everyone is from the USA/Europe/Australia. Given the state of the MCU at the time I wrote it (which was pre-Black Panther or I would definitely have dropped Bruce for T'Challa) I don't know that I could have done much better but it still bugs me. I tried to get a bit more global by making Tony Italian and dumping Thor in Australia rather than Norway, which might have felt more obvious but would have meant I had 3 Americans, 4 Europeans and Bruce, hanging out in India but clearly not Indian. Not that Australia isn't another Western country, but at least it spread out the dots on the map a bit.
And I did really enjoy writing Australian!Thor. He was so much more fun than Norwegian!Thor would have been, imho.
The hardest part of writing it was the timezones. I had a tab open on Time Zone Converter the whole time I was writing it, and kept having to move scenes around so it wasn't weird that various people were awake at the same time. Thank God for Thor's dawn surfing habit and Tony's erratic sleep patterns, but the hardest one was definitely Bruce. He was just never awake when the others are.
He's also the only one who didn't get his own plotline and yes, that is a bit related, but also, I was juggling a lot already and I didn't have anything for him to do. I hinted at him being on the run or whatever, but I never gave him any real backstory. I think it would have all been too much. So, bless him, he's just the guy who sleeps through the plot, occasionally meditates and is only useful when someone gets injured.
Originally, there was going to be an extra epilogue bit set a couple of years later, to show everyone settled into the lives they ended up with, which is what the snippet below the cut is. I accidentally introduced an antagonist though, and it suddenly started feeling like a sequel with a whole new plot arc, so I cut it. I kinda meant to go back at some point, but that never happened (if it had, possibly Bruce would have got some plot of his very own. Possibly not.)
It's a bit long and stops mid-scene, as a warning.
Clint actually really loved being a Stark Industries bodyguard. It meant he got to wear sunglasses and loom behind Tony, looking menacing - which was easy, given their respective heights. He got to carry a weapon everywhere with him which, okay, so it wasn’t his bow, but a gun was okay too, and got him less weird looks, and mostly his job was just watching people, which was easy as shit.
Mostly, though, he liked that it meant he got to work with Bucky.
“All clear here,” said Bucky through the comms that Tony had insisted on buying them, even though they could speak to each other’s minds. Clint glanced over the crowd of assembling reporters to where Bucky was standing by the door, looking hot as hell in his fancy suit as he glared around at the crowd.
“Here too,” said Clint, tearing his eyes away to glance around from his vantage point on the stage. “Tony, are you ready?”
Tony was in the back room, flicking through notecards that Clint knew he’d ignore as soon as he came out in front of the crowd. “Sure, yeah,” he said distractedly. “Hey, is the guy from The New Yorker here?”
Clint had no idea what he looked like, so he just scanned over the crowd as Tony appeared beside him, following his gaze.
“Aha! There he is,” said Tony, pointing at an old guy in the second row. “He wrote an article when I moved to New York about how Stark Industries was overextending itself. I’m going to make him eat his words.”
“Not literally, please,” said Steve. He wasn’t at the press conference, because despite Tony's best wheedling, he’d declined every single job offer from Stark Industries and stayed working for the NYPD. Clint thought he was nuts, because the benefits he and Bucky got were insane. The dental alone was worth turning up every day to hang around with one of his closest friends and his boyfriend, while looking hot in a suit.
And Clint did look hot. Bucky had made sure that he knew that.
“Sure, sure,” said Tony. “All the words eating will be hypothetical.” He straightened his tie, then took a step closer to the door. “Okay, I’m ready. Wish me luck, guys.”
Everyone who was currently awake wished him luck, glancing in on the press conference from wherever they were. Thor was in board shorts, clutching his surfboard as he ran down to meet the first wave of the day, Wanda was curled up on a sofa reading a briefing document and drinking a glass of wine in preparation for the next day’s political mindgames in the Sokovian parliament. Natasha didn’t let them see where she was, which was pretty much standard these days, now she was rising through the ranks of SHIELD.
Bruce was asleep. Tony had tried to persuade him that he needed to stay up for the conference, for moral support, but Bruce had just rolled his eyes and started his usual evening meditation.
Steve was on patrol with Sam, but Clint could see him sitting in an unoccupied chair in the front row, waiting for Tony’s big announcement.
Tony strolled out as if onto a runway, waving both hands at the crowd. “Hey guys!” he said. “Good to see you again. Well, most of you.” He sent the guy from The New Yorker a pointed look. “Now, I know most of you are hoping this is going to be about some awesome new Stark Industries product, because everything we create is incredible, but this is actually going to be even more fun than that.”
His hand went into the pocket his notecards were in for a moment, but when he took it out, it was empty.
This was going to be fun.
“Okay, so it’s probably pretty clear now that I’ll be living in New York semi-permanently for a bit,” said Tony. “Not that I don’t love Roma, of course not, the weather is so much better, not to mention the coffee, although the tourists are about the same. Just, New York has a couple of things in it that I’m enjoying having easy access to.” He gave Steve a wink that made Steve roll his eyes, and then disappear to go back to his patrol.
Tony just turned his grin on the rest of the crowd, unfazed. “Which means I need to start acting like a good neighbour, right? I don’t want to be one of those asshole-type billionaires who don’t pay taxes and pretend a couple of thousand to charity is a big deal. Not that I’m talking about anyone in particular of course, except, wait, yes I totally am, and of course I’m going to name and shame them. Page four of your briefing pack has a full list of billionaires who aren’t pulling their weight when it comes to helping out the rest of the community.”
Clint wondered who had signed off on the briefing pack, and how long it would take Pepper to fire them.
“So, in addition to paying all my taxes like a good boy -my returns are available on request from the PR department- I figure it’s time to get into the philanthropy business properly. So, I’m announcing that I’m setting up the Maria Stark Charitable Foundation, who will be starting off with a fund of a couple of billion, to be divided between projects in New York, for my neighbours, and throughout the world because let’s face it, this is a global community now, we’re all each other’s neighbours.”
Clint scanned over the crowd again, trying to pretend he couldn’t see Bucky rolling his eyes at that one. There was a movement near the back and he zoned in on it, then froze dead.
Trick was standing there, staring straight at him with a malicious smirk on his face.
The cluster were now so close to each other that he didn’t need to say anything, didn’t even need to think it. Just the sudden change in his emotions was enough to make Bucky, Steve, Thor, Natasha and Wanda appear next to him while Bruce startled awake in Mumbai.
“What is it?” asked Bucky.
“That’s Trick,” said Clint, stepping out of his body so he could point.
Bucky’s eyes narrowed. “Right,” he said, and disappeared.
“What the hell is he doing here?” asked Wanda. Clint didn’t have any answers. As far as he was concerned, Trick had disappeared into the night and was never coming back.
Bucky stalked over to Trick and put a heavy hand on his shoulder, doing the sexy badboy glower that usually made Clint melt, but was just making him feel reassured now. It didn’t matter what Trick wanted, he had a kickass boyfriend and the rest of the cluster on his side.
Trick tried to throw Bucky off, but he just tightened his grip and marched him off. Clint wondered if it was possible to love the guy any more than he did right now.
“So, enough about me,” said Tony, wrapping up the speech that he’d somehow managed to continue with despite the drama. “And I know I don’t usually say that, but I figure there’s only so much of the glory I can take right now. Let me introduce you to the person who’ll actually be running the show.”
He was finishing up a lot quicker than he’d been intending to, which Clint had a feeling was because of him, but he was more than okay with that. Tony handed over the podium, gave one last wave, then glanced at Clint and headed backstage.
Clint followed him, and the minute they were out of sight of the crowd, Tony put an arm on his shoulder. “You okay?”
Clint nodded. “Just really want to know what the fuck he thinks he’s doing here.”
“Let’s find out,” said Tony.
Bucky had Trick in the security room, handcuffed to a chair with another security guard outside while Bucky stood against the wall with his arms crossed and just glared at him. In the time it took Clint and Tony to walk down there, Trick went from trying to play the whole thing off as a mistake to trying to threaten him with a lawsuit. Bucky didn’t so much as twitch.
“How are we going to play this?” asked Steve, walking around Trick. “You know I’m not actually going to let you hurt him, right?”
“No hurting,” said Clint. “I’m just going to ask a couple of questions.”
“If I don’t like his answers, there may be some hurting,” said Bucky. Steve just sighed.
Clint paused outside the room to take a breath, and Tony slapped a hand to his shoulder again. “Hey, any time you want, just say the word and I’ll throw the full weight of an outraged billionaire at him,” said Tony.
Clint snorted and shook his head. “Nah, let’s do this the old-fashioned, carnie way.”
“Oh god, please don’t kneecap him,” muttered Steve.
Clint ignored him as he opened the door and went inside.
“...can’t treat me like this,” Trick was saying. “I’ve done nothing wr-” He shut up when he saw Clint, then glanced over his shoulder at Tony and raised an eyebrow.
“You really are playing with the big boys now, huh?” said Trick. “Look, I-”
“Shut up,” said Clint. “What are you doing here?”
Trick shrugged as well as he could in the handcuffs. “Hey, a guy can’t drop in to see an old friend?"
“We’ve never been friends,” said Clint.
Trick faked a heartbroken look, and Clint just rolled his eyes, glancing at Bucky, who was still glowering. “Maybe we should just kneecap him,” he said, mostly to hear Steve’s protest.
“Oh, come on,” said Trick. “It’s not that bad. I’m just here to talk to you.” His eyes flicked to Bucky, then across to Tony. “In private,” he added.
“Anything you want to say to me, you can say in front of them,” said Clint.
Trick’s eyes raised. “Seriously? You want all your dirty secrets out in the open?”
“He wants to blackmail you,” said Natasha.
The idea of Bucky and Tony not knowing everything there was to know about Clint was ridiculous. Clint grinned at Trick, feeling the vicious edge to it. “Nothing secret about it,” he said. “Sorry if you were hoping to have any kind of leverage.”
Trick snarled at him. “Fuck you, Barton,” he said. “Maybe I’ll tell all the press out there that Tony Stark is hiring a guy with a murder conviction, then.”
“He’s not,” said Tony, leaning back against the wall. “Tony Stark is hiring the very best guy for the job, and his past, which may involve some criminal charges, none of which are actually murder, isn’t Tony Stark’s business.”
“Tony Stark is talking about himself in the third person,” noted Wanda, and earned herself a glare.
“Fuck,” muttered Trick, and glared at Clint. “Didn’t think you’d be the type to let some rich dude fuck you in exchange for being pampered, Barton.”
Bucky suddenly moved at that, making Trick as he uncrossed his arms and stepped forward. “Say that again,” he said. “Go on. I dare you.”
Trick stared at him, not nearly scared enough. “Okay, so apparently it’s not just Stark you’re getting on your knees for. I wouldn’t have thought a billionaire was big on sharing.”
Tony let out a long sigh, “Okay, two things. First of all, were you not listening to my speech out there at all? Sharing is exactly what I’m about. And secondly, I don’t know why you think Clint would need to sleep with someone for them to think he’s worth employing and being friends with. He’s incredibly talented, you know.”
Clint felt his ears blush red at the compliment, but he did his best to keep glaring at Trick.
“We need to scare him badly enough to never come back,” said Natasha. She crouched down to stare at Trick. “You should leave Bucky alone with him.”

OH RIGHT IN HYWIYOAYSM since the sdr2 cast didnt actually graduate from HPA technically none of them are ultimates when it comes to like AU lore since HPA still is kinda the big powerhouse of a school with its influence n everything. so Ultimates Vs Normal People is still kinda a factor in this country so the sdr2 cast are officially all just Normal People TM in this AU(this is literally just V3 Lore SDR2 LMAO)
id imagine when junko reached out to them they still could have some sort of motivation over of being in the presence of a Ultimate since junko enrolled before she dropped out so it would stillllll count? like imo id see it as like being approached by someone with huge social status
but like its not a huge revolving factor so hajime wouldn't have such a hard time hanging out with the others(besides has to be somewhat cooperative for his role in the entertainment ensemble anyways)
nagito wouldn't have same view on elitism towards the gap between Normal People and Ultimates but he keeps tabs on HPA like its his morning news rather than it being a huge thing he obsesses over
well hes still a tad bit obsessive over it but not to the extent he is in canon
so he would suck up to junko for her business opportunity offer at first but later detours with the help of the rest of the ensemble also this an au where nagito does in fact have support and friends so he isn't nearly as maladjusted as he is in source he could still out-freak the others but that isn't something to particularly look out for
but there will be a bit of a civil war(as an on-performance act, slightly improvised) between the ensemble with nagito as the lead of one end with twogami at the other and sayaka's idol team roped into the middle of it all bc nagito's team would be on the end that makes looks like they helped with blackmail against sayaka me thinks
as for the others, theyre more normal out of character when they aren't working their part of the act and are amicable despite how they are seen in the public's eye. while sayaka's whole team is in imminent danger RIP
back by my demand of wanting content catered to specifically me its HYWIYOAYSMposting hours AGAIN
Tumblr media
i think sayaka+idol team interacting with the sdr2 cast is so funny but like nagito would take interest in sayaka bc her reason. for being here in the first place is bc of makotos plan and while nagito has never met makoto in this au he does keep tabs on HPA news and rumors bc hes a dedicated HPA fanboy like that so he vaguely knows OF makoto(like he keeps tabs on ppl who just graduated or whatever) and also he can probably sense the hope that sayaka rubbed off from makoto bc of their secret relationship thing going on and while he doesnt have enough info his faith in his luck means all his deductions are correct so yeaj . idk its a bit of a parallel to sayaka's own ability regarding her overpowered intuition psychic thing going on and the showdown between these two might be legendary trust so sayaka finds nagito very creepy tho LMAO but one of her more less well-adjusted idol members with deep rooted complexes mightttttttt fw him a tad bit. to sayaka's dismay rip i gotta expand more on sayaka's team bc i have to make up stuff for the unnamed remaining 2 + decide what kind of ppl Ayaka Haneyama and Satomi Aoba r like nagito would drop hints that he is getting on sayaka’s case longgg b4 junko actually executes the public blackmail reveal on live performance(nagito probably saw it coming but ofc hes not gonna warn sayaka abt this outright bc its gonna happen either way) and that he would offer his support to sayaka in hopes of her achieving and succeeding her mission but like. in his own roundabout way bc it’s fucking nagito what else would you expect from this freak.
also idk i feel like sayaka might get along with chiaki n sonia

hello! I've discovered your works recently & I really love your writing! I've had a lmk scenario stuck in my head and I wanted to see what hc's you'd have for it!☺️ Darling is Isekaied into lmk (their also clueless about any jttw lore) & this catches the attention of Yandere! Macaque, Yandere!Swk, & Regular Mk. After befriending darling, one day some lesser demon tries to hurt darling & they defeat them, but they're worried about what darling might think of them (bc darling isn't used to all the fantasy violence yet) but darling is just like "wow, no one's ever tried to protect me before 😳" & it's just really obvious that darling is a little smitten? It's also revealed that darlings home life before they were Isekaied was actually pretty abusive so that's why they're just swooning at someone actually protecting them?
...
Also have a nice day & remember to stay hydrated! 🤗
*Look at all the Pepsi I've only had over the past few days* No, I don't think I will.
Also thank you for this ask, I am now going to expose how much Isekai Manhwa I read. Over 80 tabs just for manhwa. So this gonna be fun, for me.
The works I have decided to take inspiration from is Korean Novels and Manhwa "How to Get My Husband on My Side" and "Under the Oak Tree". These novels/manhwa deal with subjects like abuse so I do not recommend them lightly to anyone under the age of 18.
Warning, the following content mentions abuse, abusive behavior, showcases unhealthy behavior, and yandere themes such as kidnapping, stalking, torture and murder. Read at your own risk.
Yandere!Wukong
When he sees you for the first time and fall in love with you on sight, his comment is going to be "they look like they are out of this world". The irony.
So he kidnaps you and holds you safely in his home and you are in shock, he is going to think it's from his kidnapping and not you coming from another world.
You - having a history of abuse - know what he is doing isn't okay but he is treating you better then how you were treated in your original world. So you just go into survival mode. Being nice to him like smiling, complimenting him, making him gifts.
It's when with a passing comment from you about your past being abusive does Wukong start realizing your not from his world.
See, he wants to find, torture, and then kill the people who hurt you. So he starts trying to do a background search of you, only to see you are not registered anywhere on any system.
He thinks maybe you are from one of those weird families that are off the radar, or those closed off societies that usually are tied to drug trafficking.
So he starts looking deeper, using a photo of you that he has to find anything of you on security cameras to get a head start. Only to see the first fighting of you was the day he met you, the day you came into this world.
Wukong has no idea what he is meant to do to find these people, you have no connections anywhere. It's as if you just came out of no where.
He is cuddling you one night decides to ask where your from. You answer from another world and he thinks your belittling him.
He decides to go to the big men upstairs.
"Hey guys. I know we ain't buddies but I'm trying to find information of this human, Y/N. I ain't coming up with nothing. Can you help."
Wukong gets sent around heaven all day until he finally gets sent to a god who might be able to help. Only to be told your soul and another soul seemed to have done a swapped.
"Usually we catch these sorts of things. We will send them back don't worry-" "NO! Nope, that's fine! I just wanted to know! K Bye!"
Doesn't know what he is meant to do with this information besides keeping you more locked up. You could go back to your world at any moment and there would be nothing he could do!
It takes him months to let you out of his cave. He holds your hand the whole time and he is only letting you close by to one of his temples so you two can watch some fire works.
Until a demon comes out and tries to kidnap you from Wukong.
Wukong doesn't think. He pulled you back then punches the demon in the face, the start of his attack. He beats them to death.
You watch him the whole time. You should be horrified, but you feel yourself feeling smitten for Wukong
He only stops punching at the corpse when you lightly pull him away from it and tell him they are dead already.
"I'm okay Sunshine, I'm alright."
When he takes you home that night, he is so nervous you'll try to leave him that he almost misses what you tell him.
"I've never had someone protect me like that before, thank you."
You don't outright say it, but both of you know that you don't be trying to go home anytime soon.
He is over the moon you are more than willing to stay with him, though does put up traps around the island so no one can get to you.
He just won you over, he isn't allowing you to be taken from him.
Yandere!Macaque
You've probably been in this new world for a month until he sees you for the first time
Just how you carry yourself, it doesn't seem... right...
Like, your acting human and doing human things but its like you have and haven't done everything your doing and seeing.
He was just so interested in you that before he knew it, he had fallen for you
He had been stalking you for months. He wanted to know everything about you.
And I mean everything.
He finds out from your own journal about you traveling from another world but not wanting to go back because of abusive people.
He can see you are living in bliss, and he is grateful for that. He just makes sure it stays that by making sure no one harms you.
One time, one time he got sloppy. He didn't realize until the demon attack you. They probably just wanted food but up seeing the demon attack you he jumped into action.
He kicked the demon off of you and growled at them. He pulled out his staff and got some good hits in but they soon ran off.
He would've gone after them, until she noticed at the corner of his eye, you staring up at him with big sound eyes. Looking up at him as if he was the night sky it's self.
He felt over whelmed and started moving away. You caught some fabric and said "I've never had someone protect me like that before, thank you."
He felt his heart imploding. "It was nothing."
He pulled away from you and followed after the demon.
His cheeks may have been burning, but he was still going to kill that demon for even thinking about laying a hand on you.
MK
You meet MK a year into your new life.
Your rather smitten the hero of this world would pay attention to you.
Now with MK I think it would take a while for him to confess to you, even more so when he notices you are secretive about your past.
He clearly has feeling for you but he doesn't want to start anything with you just yet.
So when you get attacked, he thinks its a demon attacking one his his less powerful friends to get to him.
He is his joking self as usual when he gets them away from you and helps you up.
"Wow. No one's ever tired to protect me before." "Wait what? Like, never?"
That when you shyly reveal to him back where you came from, people with powers or demons weren't a thing.
So, MK is standing there, thinking you would never see him as a partner and feel rather defected.
"Actually, I'm not even from this world."
At first he thinks you are just comparing the environment you grew up in, until it hits him in the face that you mean it.
"WAIT WHAT?!"
Once you fully explain everything to him, he feels a lot of things. Like he is grateful you told him, trusted it with him, and happy you want to stay, but feel disturbed about your old life and how no one realized you weren't from their world.
He keeps it mostly to himself and I say mostly because he rants to Wukong about it. Like, how did you come to this world?
Anyway so he asks you out a month later. Now that he knows this about you, you understands why you act the way you do.

IT'S THE BOYYYY, MY [deceased ;-;] BOY-
My heart hurts whenever I write about him I'm gonna cry but he's so perfect to me you have no idea
Ok, so, I have written so much on this man because of how overly complicated I made Buster's entire family situation. But I can't. Share. A single. Crumb. Of. It. And it's killing me. Guys, I'm dying. I'm simply gonna perish if I don't write about him. So. I'm gonna headcanon dump, heehee :> [gonna do this with a bunch of other characters once I get art for them going ~_~] [I look at my drafts and weep-]
TD!Charley:
Age: 47 [deceased] Height: 3' 02" [96cm] Male - He/Him Sexuality: Aroace Build: H A T
The name is a headcanon in itself. Charley. He was never given a real canon name for whatever reason.
It just felt like it fit
Oh boy,
Ok, heavy lore time-
TW: Mentions of religious trauma and [briefly] kidnapping
[there's a fluff tab if you're wanting to skip all that]
So for a quick lore-dump, there was a HUGE war between the different animals [mammals, reptiles, and birds being the most prominent groups] that lasted from 1903-1955, before finally cutting off because a bunch of animals had practically gone extinct
Koalas being one of them
And Charley was born in late 1956, right after the war had ended, so yeah. Generational trauma's real rough-
Plus his hometown [all Koalas btw] was extremely religious and controlling over him, and he wasn't even allowed to buy his own clothes until he started to carve out his own life in Calatonia
The only thing they let him do was play music, usually with the idea that he'd be playing for the church band
[which he never did]
He was set up on arranged dates, made to feel like he was wrong for not wanting a relationship, and ridiculed for his desire to have a different life in the city- along with a lot of other things I probably couldn't fit into this post
He has a sister, Holly Moon, who is 4 years younger than him, who was seen as a golden child because she always listened and did everything their parents asked
[Parents being Darrick and Kara, for more TD lore]
He had a horrible family life before sprinting away at age 18 to Calatonia to hopefully make it big
This is where he met animals who weren't Koalas for the first time
Let me reiterate that- first time
[he'd read about other animals and seen what a few of them looked like in pictures, but never the real thing]
He learned the true meaning behind the words his family always spoke
"Make a family, there aren't many of us left"
Yeah, he was the only Koala in Calatonia for a good minute
Which kinda sent him spiraling-
Imaging you growing up in a small gated community, where you're a human around other humans, and then you leave and find out that there aren't any humans left and the rest of the world has been populated by aliens or something
He was very curious at first, which got him into some trouble
He met Harry after almost getting poached/getting ganged up on and almost kidnapped. Harry saved him, took him to calm down at his restaurant for the night, and the two quickly became friends
Ok, fluff time
Meeting Harry for the first time, the thing he offered Charley was a sandwich, which would start Charley's "give sandwich = I care about you" thing
Like his go-to way of making friends after this encounter would be to meet somewhere for sandwiches
It became a comfort food, and an introduction into other flavors besides the basic food groups + eucalyptus
This little quirk got passed down to Buster
Amazing cook
Like, he invented a couple of the recipes on the menu at Harry's Bar [despite having a diet of mostly eucalyptus, which is poisonous]
Even back in his hometown with his limited ingredients, he was fantastic, but after learning that there were other foods, he got a little obsessed
He has a cookbook he put together [which got passed down to Buster, who cannot cook for the life of him lmao]
Harry tried to get him to go to culinary school or something, but Charley always insisted on loving his little bundle of odd jobs in Calatonia [including the carwash, which was his baby]
After coming to Calatonia, making his home in a shady little apartment complex [which he ABSOLUTELY ADORED], getting a job, and finally getting his first-ever paycheck, he immediately went thrifting
Which is where he got his raggedy hat and patchy coat
And learned what a turtleneck was
He taught Buster the art of thrifting too :D
He dresses like he's homeless by choice [mostly]
[money's always tight]
Back to the odd jobs that he got instead of getting a real job- Charley always hated "luxurious" things if that makes sense. Not only did it remind him of home, but he's just a minimalist in general
If he doesn't need it, he won't take it
Modest guy [opposite to his entire family ~_~]
The hat is kinda a symbol of his independence and freedom in a way, so that's a little sweet
He never takes his hat or coat off really, even in the hot summer days in Calatonia
Harry always has to remind him to drink water [woah, Koala moment]
Oh yeah, Koala stuff-
Harry ends up helping out Charley with the complete lack of Eucalyptus products in Calatonia by ordering it in with his usual imported restaurant food, and then just giving it to him
Harry insists on paying for it all, despite Charley's objections
Charley always gives monstrous tips when eating at Harry's to balance things out
He's actually pretty tall for a Koala
He made good friends with all of the waiters and staff and musicians at Harry's, and was always there for the music nights where Harry'd get someone to play atmospheric stuff on stage
You see this in the first movie
Charley's actually really great on the guitar, and has a very nice voice [I don't have a voice claim yet ;-;;;;;] so he was eventually given the offer to try playing in front of a crowd at Harry's. Which he took
[And Harry made him take money for it, of course]
Had no intention to have kids, but ended up taking in Buster due to family drama and strange circumstances [later explained in Tone Deaf] [also why they have different funky patterns btw! :DDD]
Please, it's so complicated-
He quickly fell in love with the idea of show business after seeing some street performers, and eventually got over his discomfort with doing illegal things [the idea of it being a sin really had him in a chokehold for a while-] and grew into his true personality of "very chill and very shady charlatan" after a few years away from his hometown
Actually, it was his urge to steal a ticket to see a show at the theater that drove him to get over it all
Learned how to pick locks and pockets to scrounge around enough money to get by
Charley and Harry were best friends. Practically brothers
To the point of Harry being called "uncle Harry" by young Buster
Charley was the best man at Harry's wedding to his Panda wife, Claire. Buster was given the honor of being both the flower boy and ring bearer lmao [he pulled it off]
Claire definitely mothered both Charley and Buster quite a bit
Back to Charley living in the apartment complex, he made good friends with an old Lizard who lived next door-
Yeah, Miss Crawley [Irene Crawley]
After Harry realized that Buster was an absolute demon child, Charley tried asking her to babysit instead
She must've had the magic touch or something, because he was perfectly behaved with her
Harry was speechless
Buster was absolutely a problem child, and Charley would frequently get calls from school about him [especially in elementary]
[half of the trouble he got into was due to bullies, but this ain't about him 🤭]
Charley taught Buster how to commit crime, and play guitar
And when he got older, the two would duet together at Harry's
[I'm crying it's so sweet]
Crawley would always bring homemade candies around to give to Buster when she came over to visit with Charley, specifically Turkish Delight
She eventually taught him [with lots of hand-holding] how to make the candy himself. If left alone, he'd just set things on fire and eat the chocolate chips plain though :D
She lost her lover in the war, and even before that, struggled with infertility problems [they were different species- working with the idea of a Gila Monster] so she never had any of the children she had wanted before the war basically ruined her life
She adored that child and never accepted pay
[she was paid by the government anyway since she was a war vet]
All of the money that Charley would slip into her pocket, she'd either secretly give right back, or spend it all on Buster
She was like a mother to him
Still is
She offered to help with the theater after Charley realized that the place didn't just come with staff
Charley and Buster's bond was basically unbreakable
Charley would always stand up to the school system whenever they treated Buster unjustly
[Trust me, there was a lot of prejudice against Koalas and other endangered species, no matter how small or harmless they seemed. People fear what they don't know, and to say Koalas are an oddity would be an understatement-]
[Like even irl, they're Marsupials, sure- but they're so different that they've been given a classification all to themselves called Phascolarctidae. They're so alone in the animal kingdom, it's not even funny. Their closest "relative" is the Wombat, and even then barely]
[Give me another animal that's even remotely similar to Koalas appearance-wise. Their facial structure, the double-thumbs, massive ears, the fact that they can only eat one thing, and it's poisonous [catch me writing Buster poisoning someone with eucalyptus >:D]- yeah, they're super interesting to work with. And of course, I give them hardships for it ~_~]
[Everyone that saw Buster and Charley just immediately knew they were endangered just because of how alien they looked]
["freaks"]
[They just rolled with it]
[Well, Buster was always bothered by it, but Charley was always there to tell him that it should be something to be proud of. Didn't always work all the way]
[I'll talk about Buster later, don't you worry]
[Ok enough with the gushing about Koala facts in brackets-]
Buster would also stand up for Charley during family gatherings [which they eventually just stopped going to entirely] because Charley would just freeze up and not say anything whenever people started fighting with him
✨trauma✨
The two protected each other is my point pretty much
Ok, for a rough timeline:
[1903 - 1955] - Great War [1956] - Charley was born [1960] - Holly was born [1974] - Charley ran away to Calatonia [1980] - Buster was born [1988] - Charley took Buster in [1990] - Harry meets Claire [1994] - Harry and Claire get married [1997] - Theater was sold to Charley and quickly opened [2003] - Charley is killed
It's fucking tragic how he dies
Like, him and Buster were literally in the middle of planning the show when Buster got the call
Late too
He couldn't get to the landline at first because he was busy with set design, and actually saw it a LOT later, which- yeah. Cue horrific amounts of stress as he bikes as fast as he can to the ER
"Where's dad!??" he's in the hospital bucko
Why must I kill all the characters I love-
Charley'd just gone out to get some supplies from like, home depot or something, and then yeah. Dead
Buster could never finish the show, so it sits collecting dust in the attic now
Grief made him unable to write much, which is how he eventually went into debt too
The whole thing with them is absolutely tragic, oh boy-
Can't wait to draw the funeral scene
Ok, so I keep forgetting what's been posted and what's still a draft, so sorry if something just- absolutely jumps out of nowhere here. I think I've mentioned the war before? And Poachers- I hope I at least mentioned Poachers-
Well, if you didn't know before, you do now ''':D
Thanks for reading

request: somewhat * these are the 3rd/extra endings to: ‘do you love me?’ p1 / p2
beta’d: yes but i hate it and changed it five times.
a/u: this is a cluster fuck and was written at 3am. do not lore grill me. yes, y/n is.. let’s just use the word clairvoyant, of sorts. * banners do not indicate age or timeline.
Tumblr media
Sighing deeply, you pulled your bag tighter over your shoulder and pursed your lips, beyond what the word "annoyed" could even cover. No one could seem to locate your boyfriend and the fact Sanzu wasn't present either did your mental state no good; how could no one know where they went?
'We don't keep tabs on each other like children.'
Hearing Rindou's answer, you wanted nothing but to stab something through your temple. 'Why are you answering Ran's phone? If I wanted your attitude, I would have called you.'
You could hear the dissatisfied sound on the other end before shuffling sounds. Finally, a small hum sounded, somewhat signaling you to go ahead and talk.
'Since you don't 'keep tabs like children'.. How about you keep tabs like reasonable adults, in a fucking criminal organization, on the man you call boss?'
'In our defense, he doesn't tell us everything,' Ran began, doing his best to word himself properly, 'I'm sure both of them are fine. Do you honestly think Sanzu would let something happen to him?'
You frowned at the idea of a possibly dangerous situation but he had a point, no one was more obsessed protective of said boss. 'Something just.. it doesn't feel right, Ran,' you mumbled, looking around to figure out where you were.
'You worry about him too much.'
Eyebrows drawing together, you shook your head despite knowing he couldn't see. 'You don't understand.. I've got good reason to worry.' It wasn't like you could actually explain it to him, not when you could barely explain to yourself, the memories.. or.. dreams, you had. Brushing the thought aside, you just deflated. 'Just.. let me know if you hear anything, okay?'
'Of course, of course. Anything for the sweetheart,' he cooed, throwing in the little tease as if he'd simply pass without adding it to every conversation you had.
'You're such an as--' your sentence got cut off by the sound of a gasp and a few other exclamations and you looked over to see what the commotion was about. Eventually your gaze went up and your phone hit the concrete; the last thing Ran heard on the other end was the sound of you screaming, voice cracked and all he could make out was the name 'Mikey'.
Tumblr media
'You look exhausted.'
Laughing softly, you nudged the raven walking beside you. 'You're annoying.. I am, though. It's been such a long day!' You were being a little overdramatic towards the end, offering up a smile, 'I'm happy for them.. they belong together, you know? You can just see it.'
Looking over to you, he stepped closer to wrap an arm around your waist. 'What about us?'
Thinking to yourself, you couldn't help the deep sigh that sounded, leaning into his familiar frame. Considering the things you knew, you were more than positive that just like Hina and Takemichi, Mikey and yourself weren't falling apart anytime soon. 'I think.. there's nothing in this world could tear us apart.'
Showing a toothy smile at the words, Mikey tipped his head to press a kiss against your crown. 'I think you're right.'
The walk home from that point was filled with little comments, sweet nothings and some teasing, the usual way things went when the world was content. You'd never been more happy to return home and push your shoes off, wanting nothing more than to shed the uncomfortable dress you'd let Yuzuha talk you into.
Roaming from room to room and getting ready to step in the shower, you were collecting towels from the dryer when you heard the latter's voice.
'Hey, sunshine.. What are these?'
You thought for a second on what he could be talking about but instead of talking to yourself, you tossed the towels on the bed and made your way to the spare room. 'What?' you called, slowly coming up to the doorframe.
Your bright demeanor dulled a little, a frown settling on your features when you realized just what he'd found. In Mikey's hand was a canvas, one you'd finished and he hadn't failed to gesture to the few others. 'What.. are these..?'
The lack of malice in his tone said it wasn't something you needed to tread lightly with but how were you supposed to explain them? Reaching to take the canvas from his hands, you let your fingers trace the outline you'd done of his short, white hair. 'Uhm.. this is, uh..' you were having trouble finding the words, that annoying burning sensation at your waterline.
'It's me,' he pointed out as if it would ease your anxiety, 'but.. how.. why?'
'It's when I lost you,' you finally answered before something clicked in your head, looking up from the painting to him, 'Wait, no.. that was real?'
Mikey seemed to be just as confused as you at the comment and took the painting from you, carefully settling it back on the floor. 'Real?' He wasn't sure how to ask what he was thinking as he took your hands, honestly just trying to find some type of answers.
'I, I thought.. they were dreams or some weird hallucinations or just.. just something I made up in my head.. I thought I was crazy!' You could feel the way your heartbeat picked up and the way his hold tightened slightly on your hands, grounding you just a bit. 'I just.. it started years ago.. it felt like time kept changing.'
'Time was changing,' he mumbled, his own eyes becoming a little glossy as he released your hands in favor of cupping your cheeks, 'you stayed through all of it..' Mikey wasn't happy about the things he'd done or the person he'd become on multiple occasions but the idea you'd seen every version of him and stayed really did something to him.
'Of course I did.."nothing". remember..?'
'Nothing.' Pressing his forehead to yours, he closed his eyes and moved to wrap his arms around you. 'I remember what you asked me, you know.'
Relaxing against him, you hummed softly. 'I've asked you a lot of things over the years.'
'You asked if I loved you.'
Blinking a few times, you found him looking back at you this time and chuckled softly. 'I did, didn't I..?'
'The answer disappointed you,' he added, giving you a knowing look and you couldn't really deny it. You had wanted nothing more than for a simple 'yes' if nothing else but you understood, at the time, why he couldn't do that.
Mikey nudged your nose with his own before planting a light kiss to your lips. 'I do. I love you more than absolutely anything.'
Feeling yourself brighten up, you bit your lip to hold back the wide smile that wanted to form. 'Does.. that mean it's our turn next?' you asked, referring to the wedding earlier in the day, playing with the buttons on his shirt.
'Maybe?'

A Night In Las Vegas
requested by this anon: “I had the BEST idea: CC!Quackity came up with the idea of his Las Nevadas character arc after going to Las Vegas and meeting Reader there. Maybe one night the reader decides to go and twitch and finds quackity doing a lore stream and the reader is like: no way, it’s the guy I met in Vegas.”
{I love this concept, sorry it took so long for me to get out}
Quackity x reader
trigger warnings: some swears
premise: after getting ditched by your friends on the last night of your long weekend in vegas you run into a very interesting guy who doesn’t hesitate to befriend you. But what happens months later when he still seems to be running circles in your mind?
{covid don’t exist here, no sir}
{for the sake of the story, readers favorite color is blue, if its not, either pretend it is, or get over it}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10:34pm
“You can’t just- you can’t kick me out!” You yelled.
Your bestfriend laughed, “Just find somewhere to go for a few hours! Me and Hunter want alone time!”
“A few fucking hours!?! Seriously?!” But your duffle bag had already been thrown at your feet, and the hotel door room was swinging closed, muffled giggles coming from inside.
Groaning, you picked up your bag, where were you supposed to go now?
“Not that I was like- listening in or anything- but damn that sucks.”
You jumped turning to see a man with black hair sticking out of his beanie standing in front of the door diagonal from yours.
“Uh- yeah. Last night in Vegas and I get ditched for a random hook up,” You scoffed, “I should’ve known it would happen.”
“That’s not cool, uh- I’m Alex.” He stepped forward, offering his hand.
Somewhat reluctantly, you shook his hand, “(y/n).”
He nodded, “I was going to head out for a late night wander, find something to do-, preferably away from all the hookups that seem to be happing around us right now. If you want to come.”
You glanced around, “Seriously?”
“Oh- god that did sound kinda creepy didn’t it,” Alex scrubbed a hand over his face, “Sorry- I- you can just forget about this then-”
“No! I mean- You don’t seem like a rapist or anything. I’ll come with.”
He grinned, “Poggers, you can, leave that, in my room, if you want. Just seems like a pain to lug around everywhere.”
You bit your lip, “Leaving my belongings in a strangers room while I go with said stranger to find something interesting to do, sure- why not?”
~~
10:57pm
Somehow, you found yourself wandering out of the hotel lobby, and onto the crowded streets along side Alex.
“So.... whats your favorite color?” He asked as you walked.
You laughed, “What?”
“We’re like, total strangers- it was a question, to get to know you.” He tucked his hands into his pockets.
“Oh, well-” before you could finish your sentence, there was a large amount of gasps and yells from the crowd in front of you.
“What’s going on?” Alex asked quietly.
You craned your neck to look over the crowd, gasping, “The water show! With the fountains outside of Caesar’s Palace!” You grabbed his hand, tugging him with you to push through the crowd, “This was the whole reason I agreed to this trip- but we never got to it!”
You shoved your way through the crowd until you got to the front, pressing against the barrier to watch the fountain display.
“Holy shit.” You heard him mutter from beside you.
You grinned, “It’s impressive right?”
“Imagine the coding it would take to get those things to stay on time.”
~~
11:27pm
After the show had ended, you had kept wandering for a while, up the strip, asking various questions back and forth.
You had found out that he was a Minecraft youtuber and a law student, though you’d had to admit, you weren’t too knowledgeable on either that subject.
Now you were both staring up at the Dave and Busters sign, “This is a good idea right?”
He nodded, “Definitely. Come on, I’d bet I could beat you at skee ball!”
Laughing, you followed him into the building, and up the stairs toward the arcade entrance, “Your on!”
After buying the credit cards for access to the games, you grabbed his hand, dragging him over to the skee ball lanes.
“Lets go!” He shouted, a few minutes later, upon realizing your score was a total of 10 points behind his, “I’m popping off!”
You laughed, “Okay, what game’s next?”
Nearly an hour later, you had both run out of credits, and laughing, made you way up to the prize area.
“Do you think its possible to compile our tickets?” He asked.
“Why?”
You followed his pointing finger to the large stuffed dragons sitting on one shelf.
“We need him.” You said immediately.
After picking out a bright red dragon, you began to argue over the name as you made your way to the counter.
“What about Carl?” You suggested.
He shook his head, “I have a friend named Karl.”
“How ‘bout........ Phil?”
“I also know a Phil.”
“Hmmmm, what about Sebastian?”
“He doesn’t look like a Sebastian!”
You frowned, “Well do you have any ideas then?”
Alex thought for a moment, “Albert.”
You looked down at the dragon, “Albert it is.”
At the counter Alex convinced the reluctant worker to allow you to use both the cards credit totals, and then you went happily on your way out of the building, stopping to take a picture of Albert in front of the sign, which Alex posted to twitter with the comment of, “Look at our son!”
You’d staid mostly out of frame, but he managed to get about half of your side, since you were the one holding Albert.
“Do you think any pf the buffets are still open?” Alex asked.
“I hope so, I’m starving.” You giggled.
~~ 12:06am
The buffet was somewhat deserted, and you and Alex had grabbed seats in one of the corners after getting plates full of food.
Albert sat on the table between you as you talked.
“So it’s roleplay- but in Minecraft?” You asked, barley holding back a laugh.
He nodded, chuckling, “It sounds stupid, I know, but it’s like- huge. Especially since technically I’m getting back into the main lore now, with the whole project: vegas thing.”
“Project Vegas?” You asked.
He nodded again, “My character, he’s been through almost everything that's happened, and everything always ends to blow up in his face, literally sometimes. He’s built contries from the ground up- as stupid as that sounds- but they always fail, but this one won’t fail.
“I’m partnering with another guy on the server to set up a whole economy, he’s making a bank, and I’m making- well I’m making my own Vegas.”
You took a sip of your drink, “What’s it going to be called?”
“I haven’t figured it out yet,” He admitted, “I wanted to just call it Las Vegas but the names already taken.”
With a chuckle you shifted in your seat, “What about....- what about Las Nevada's?”
He laughed, “I like that.”
“Tell me more about this server then, I still don’t understand the story.”
With another chuckle he launched into the story, “Well, it all started when this guy called Wilbur Soot decided he wanted to start a nation....”
~~ 3:18am
“Blue.”
You were back at the hotel now, still with Quackity, sitting out on the balcony of his room. Some how, you had ended up having some slightly deep talk about life and death and a million other things before lapsing into silence, simply watching the blinking lights of the city.
“What?” He asked softly.
“You asked me my favorite color, ten minutes after we met. It’s blue- that's my favorite color.” You shivered against a cold breeze.
Alex shifted minutely closer, “Why?”
You shrugged, “It can be so many things. Deep and dark and mysterious but also light like the summer sky and filled with hope. There’s a million shades from happiness to anger, and to everyone it could mean something else.”
“I like that.” He said quietly.
~~
7:04am
You yawned, rubbing sleep out of your eyes as the car drew closer to the airport.
Alex tapped on the steering wheel in time with the music, quietly humming along.
“Oh, I see my friend, they actually waited for me.” You said as the car pulled up to the curb.
“How considerate.” He chuckled, climbing out of the car.
You followed suit, retrieving your duffle bag from the back seat.
“Well, it was cool knowing you Alex.” You said.
“Likewise.”
Before you started to walk away you remembered, and quickly turned back to where he was standing, pulling Albert out of your bag, “Here, he’s yours. You spent more tickets on him than I did.”
He shook his head, “Keep him. I give you full custody of our son.”
“Oh- okay... bye then.”
You barley made it a few steps before he was quickly catching up to you, grabbing your arm and spinning you to press his lips on yours.
“Good luck with your shitty friends.” He breathed, before hurrying back to his car, leaving you flustered and running to catch up to your friend.
~~
One and A Half Months later
It had been over a month since the Vegas trip, but you still hadn’t gotten Alex out of your head.
You had clicked, on some level, and the late night conversation you had shared seemed to keep you thinking about him.
Now, you scrolled aimlessly through twitter, checking the trending tags until you came across one called “LAS NEVADAS”
Now that piqued your interest, and clicking on it, you found posts of people live tweeting an event- no a live stream. And not just any live stream- a Minecraft stream.
Quickly you opened a new tab, pulling up twitch as fast as you could.
What was the name of his channel? Oh god why did you forget?
Returning to twitter you searched until you found a link, following it to a new twitch tab.
And there he was.
The boy who had been doing laps around your mind was actually there, talking to another character.
“Look Sam, you and me, we could control everything. I need the bank to help fund Las Nevada’s, we can be partners.”
You sat, watching the stream, enthralled.
Once it had ended, you still could hardly believe you found him, quickly following another link back to his twitter and opening a direct message.
Y/n: Um, this is awkward, idk if you remeber this, but we met in vegas, about a month ago, and I had no idea how to find you until the stream today
quackityHQ: uh, hi?
qusckityHQ: proof?
Quickly you sent him the picture you had taken of him with Albert,
y/n: uhhh, bam, proof?
y/n: our son is sitting on my head board right now
quackityHQ: holy shit

one more bsc hot take for the evening:
i like shadow and infinite together because they fucking vibe man, like. imagine if shadow had not been infinite's 13th reason, here are their common grounds:
- lost their (found) family members because they failed to save them
- felt empty, bored, purposeless
- like to be alone, keep to themselves
- morally grey: sometimes they're good, but the means by which they do good acts will never be acceptable (mercenary, ULF who uses brunt force to finish the job quickly)
- tried to take over the world
- got manipulated and weaponized by eggman and discarded when they weren't of use
- feel like failures, compensate with power
- suck at emotional vulnerability
- weapons of mass destruction
sounds good so far, right? here are some differences:
- shadow didn't have a choice as an experiment, infinite was manipulated into doing it but still somewhat consented but he started out ordinary and made himself after failure.
- shadow had the cast reach out: amy spoke to him, sonic engaged with him in a friendly-rivalry matter, rouge kept tabs on him the whole time. everyone in forces pointed out that infinite was alone and friendless but did nothing about it besides making jokes or saying "oh that's sad lol anyways"
- infinite likes to be independent based on status (which is why he works for eggman and submits to being ordered around: he's independent because he's special and powerful, not by being alone). shadow likes to be independent because he was created to obey and has a tendency to be manipulated (by older male figures especially, probably because he was made by black doom and gerald) so doing whatever he wants is super liberating
- infinite wants praise and affirmations for what he does, shadow just wants to not fuck up or start shit because it seems like every formative moment in his life killed people
and many other things i could touch on. my reasoning for them being pals?
- infinite doesn't give a shit what he does as long as he's doing it well and being praised, so working with shadow would be entertaining (morally ambiguous and sporadic)
- shadow wouldn't have someone trying to control him: infinite might bitch and complain, but has reached the point where he knows shadow can't be outmatched so there's no sense in fighting him. infinite would work with him and not make it a sappy "power of teamwork and friendship!!!" adventure because infinite doesn't want that either
- infinite has nothing to lose besides his pride, shadow has nothing to lose besides his freedom from organized groups trying to use him (GUN, eggman empire, the resistance, black arms, team dark at times, etc...). they can do whatever the fuck they want together and not be expected to open up at one another's mercy or some shit
- no moral lectures. they've both killed people and are fine with violence and selfishness, so there's no judgement or reformation: net 0 moral growth
TLDR: i ship them because unlike most of the sonic cast, infinite doesn't challenge or hinder shadow's lifestyle: doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants, with no mandated affection or positivity.
do i like making them angsty? yes, because their similarities draw them together but their differences are so fundamental that it creates rifts, fights, and wavering forgiveness between the two which is much more dynamic and passionate than people give it credit for. all those hot but traumatizing villain vs hero prompts you reblog as inspo? the dramatic "hero made the villain" arcs y'all eat up? it's RIGHT. THERE. IN CANON. TAKE IT. YOU HAVE TWO CANON ANGSTY CHARACTERS, WITH ONE'S LORE BEING DEPENDENT ON THE OTHER'S, BAIT BAIT BAIT.
do i also like making infinite a bitchy, trophy wife, sugar baby, gold digger, persistent nuisance that shadow essentially pays to keep out of trouble? yes, because one of infinite's only personality traits is wanting money and attention so it's easy (and hilarious) to pimp him out a bit. this ship can be silly!
above all else, do i like making them friends, soulmates even? which aren't inherently romantic btw, i mean "you understand me without me having to explain myself, thank you for being the same way" type of shit. YES. MORE OF THIS.

So I was on Quora the other day, and someone speculated that insecurity was at the root of Anakin's arrogance and apparent cockiness. I thought this through and it makes so much sense. He felt insecure in his place as a Jedi and had this constant need to prove himself. What's your take?
Personally, I’ve never seen Anakin as arrogant. I think he was *perceived* as arrogant by the people around him but, internally, Anakin was also driven by insecurity (not egotism).
Because he was so insecure in a place where he knew he wasn’t accepted as he was, he overcompensated. It’s a very common behavior: I’ll try harder to prove myself. And because he was so powerful, his attempt to prove himself worthy was viewed as an attempt to show off.
The Jedi Council didn’t want me, either. Being the Chosen One didn’t count for anything. Master Yoda wouldn’t train me, or Windu. Every member of the Jedi Council had had something more pressing to do than help him work out what this terrible, galaxy-changing power of his meant, and how he should live in its shadow. He still wasn’t sure. Anakin recalled standing there in that grand, polished Jedi Council Chamber, surrounded by what felt like fear, and disdain, and bewilderment—who were those Masters to feel bewildered, that the only person there who cared if he lived or died was Master Qui-Gon Jinn. And they stopped him training the Chosen One. Qui-Gon hadn’t cared what the Jedi Council said. He’d trained him anyway, a Padawan in all but name. Why am I thinking of all this now? Haven’t I put it behind me? Haven’t I had enough bad memories since then to take their place? Haven’t I vindicated Master Qui-Gon? [Karen Traviss. The Clone Wars]
Anakin enjoyed praise from Obi-Wan, but often became sullen when he was reprimanded. Obi-Wan assured him that he himself had been frequently reminded by Qui-Gon to be more mindful of the Force, but somehow even the slightest criticism managed to leave Anakin feeling stung. First they tell me to do my best, then they tell me I’ve gone too far! ANAKIN SKYWALKER IN THE RISE AND FALL OF DARTH VADER BY RYDER WINDHAM
Because Anakin had not been trained since infancy at the Temple like nearly all other Padawans, various Jedi Masters accepted the fact that he lacked the discipline of his fellow students. They were less accepting, however, of his arrogant behavior when he demonstrated his abilities. I’m more powerful with the Force than some of my instructors, Anakin thought, and they know it! ANAKIN SKYWALKER IN THE RISE AND FALL OF DARTH VADER BY RYDER WINDHAM
Despite Anakin’s desire to distance himself from the slave he had once been, he was unable, or unwilling, to shed the other aspects that had defined him on Tatooine. He still dreamed of glory, still craved adventure, and never lost his appetite for high-speed thrills and the desire to prove himself in competition. THE RISE AND FALL OF DARTH VADER BY RYDER WINDHAM
What evidence to we truly have that Anakin was arrogance beyond people calling him that? And considering most of his peers and superiors didn’t take much time to get to truly know him, I’d say their option can be considered biased:
Anakin was liked by the other students, but he had no close friends. He was not loved. Obi-Wan told himself that Anakin’s gifts naturally set him apart. But in his heart, he grieved for Anakin’s loneliness. JUDE WATSON [JEDI QUEST: THE WAY OF THE APPRENTICE]
Just when Anakin thought he’d passed that elusive finishing line that said adult, experienced, seen it all, he realized he was still twenty, Jedi or not, and the wounded boy in him still rose to the surface—provoked into angry violence, scared of abandonment, and still in need of approval. KAREN TRAVISS [STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS NOVELIZATION]
[Obi-Wan] knew, glancing at his Padawan’s eager face, that Anakin meant well from the bottom of his heart. If Obi-Wan saw a shadow on that heart, he knew it would pain his Padawan to know it. In many ways, Anakin was still a boy. A wounded, loving, anxious boy with great gifts he did not fully understand. Yet he was also a young man, close to maturity, who could do great harm. To others, yes. To himself, most of all JUDE WATSON [JEDI QUEST: THE SCHOOL OF FEAR]
“I just…” Anakin stopped. He took a ragged breath. “I thought you would be proud of me.” I am proud of you. Obi-Wan wanted to say the words. They were true. He was proud of so much in Anakin. But now was not the time to tell him that. Or was it? JUDE WATSON [JEDI QUEST: THE SCHOOL OF FEAR]
Fixing broken machines was like a meditation. Fixing broken machines was an antidote to every pain, every loss, every fear, every defeat. Fixing broken machines kept him from going mad. CLONE WARS GAMBIT: STEALTH
This doesn’t sound like some who thinks that highly of himself.
“Master…,” he said hesitantly, “I know I’ve… disappointed you in these past few days. I have been arrogant. I have… not been very appreciative of your training, and what’s worse, of your friendship. I offer no excuse, Master. My frustration with the Council… I know that none of it is your fault, and I apologize. For all of it. Your friendship means everything to me.”
Interestingly enough, Obi-wan says it best:
You are very observant, Ferus, but you must accept that I know him better than you,” Obi-Wan said carefully. “Anakin can be arrogant. I know that. But he is also learning and growing. He is respectful of his great power. He does not abuse it. He is younger than you, but he has seen much injustice, many terrible things. I do not think it so wrong that he wants to change things. You must understand that it isn’t ambition that drives him. It is compassion. OBI-WAN KENOBI IN STAR WARS – JEDI QUEST: THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD BY JUDE WATSON
Yes. Anakin can act arrogantly. We all can. It’s part of being human and flawed. but that doesn’t mean that was ALL Anakin was. More often than not, Anakin was motivated by fear, love, kindess and, yes, even hate.
Taking them, she looked up at him and shook her head, even though it still ached. “It’s odd. You’re nothing like I expected.” “Why?” he said, perching on the edge of the nearby chair. “What did you expect?” “I don’t know,” she said, floundering. “I can’t say I’ve ever given the Jedi much thought. I mean, not as individuals. I never expected to meet one—let alone two. I don’t tend to go places where your skills are needed. But—well—you’re gentle.” That made him smile. “As opposed to what?” She swallowed the pain-tabs, washing them down with a mouthful of water. “Oh. You know. The HoloNet news—it portrays as you as this—this—heroic warrior. Larger than life. Charging into battle, lightsaber flashing. Scourge of the Separatists. That kind of thing.” She shrugged. [Karen Miller. Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth]
Because of Hayden’s Anakin being do disliked and, of course, because of the TCW wonky characterization everyday we are seeing more and more people embracing the idea of arrogant idiot Anakin. even if such characterization is not supported by the movies, the lore and basic common sense.
People use Obi-wan’s words in AOTC against Anakin but the truth is, as shown above, Obi-wan himself later recognizes that Anakin is not arrogant (even if he sometimes act that away). Besides, using AOTC to show Anakin’s arrogance doesn’t make much sense because of Hayden’s acting. Anakin doesn’t act like some arrogant prick for most of the movie. if anything, AOTC is a great of example of Anakin’s submissive and insecure behavior.
At last, let’s not forget that the same people calling Anakin arrogant were also facing the same criticism:
“But he still has much to learn, Master,” Obi-Wan explained. “His skills have made him … well, arrogant.” “Yes, yes,” Yoda agreed. “It’s a flaw more and more common among Jedi. Too sure of themselves, they are. Even the older, more experienced Jedi.” [R.A. Salvatore. Attack of the Clones]
People seem to forget that Anakin was in his early 20s when he ‘died’. Show me a teenager or a young adult who’ve never acted arrogantly and i’ll show you a liar. So why is Anakin the only one getting shit for that?
So, yeah, i agree. Anakin wasn’t motivated by arrogance. He was motivated by fear and insecurity, byproducts of his childhood trauma and years of grooming and emotional neglect.

Iron Lord Saladin Forge
Season of the Lost dropped some major lore about Saladin and I love every piece of it so I will make a huge post detailing stuff about and what's important.
The lore is on Iron Banner armour which you can see in-game when you go to the armour section. The lore is the same on each class so it doesn't matter which one you read. It's in the order of how armour is set, so helmet -> arm piece -> chest piece -> leg piece -> class item. There's some extras on Iron banner weapons that I'll add as well.
The rest under the cut due to length and also spoilers!
I'll link to the Hunter gear because I'm a dirty Hunter main and I read it from there and that's what I have open because I couldn't remember the names for other two classes, but the lore is the same on all of them. The set is called Iron Forerunner.
We haven't really had any substantial Saladin lore in D2 besides few lore pieces from Chosen and Splicer. Not nearly enough I think, especially since he wasn't properly introduced in D2 at all and it was kinda assumed that everyone would know about him from the Rise of Iron expansion in D1. He had plenty of voice lines, but with no real context. His voice lines in Season of the Chosen were interesting, but also made a lot of people think he's a bad person and a warmongering coward who sat on his butt during the Red War and was then preaching action for action's sake.
The situation is obviously more complex, but I've always said that it's Bungie fault for not explaining more about him prior to his involvement in the Season of the Chosen. Well, now we got some really interesting information at last!
Anyway, helmet first!
Flavour text:
"Some know the legend. We threw ourselves on the blades of tyranny so others may live free." —Lord Saladin
This is referencing the Iron Lords' fight against the Warlords in the Dark Age. Saladin is heavily influenced by his time in the Dark Age. It seems like some really old Guardians never get over the trauma of living through that (Drifter is another example). Side note: this could also be referencing the battle against SIVA since Rasputin is also known as "The Tyrant." It's not fully relevant tho, as Saladin was equally affected by both periods in his life.
This first entry details something we don't really think about when it comes to Guardians: death. It's a temporary thing with them so it doesn't really matter. But Saladin recounts how he remembers his deaths and how each one felt. Despite the fact that he will be brought back, the pain and struggle of dying are very real. There is also the associated trauma of the realisation that you will go through this over and over and over:
He laughed when his Ghost reassembled him. Then, he cried.
It's not something mentioned often, and definitely wasn't a point raised with Saladin. It gives some context to how seriously he takes combat, training and the lives of his fellow Guardians.
Saladin remembers the day he stopped counting deaths. "Something about you is different," Jolder had said, and put her hand on his.
This explains that his worldview of the role of Lightbearers changed the moment he was invited to become an Iron Lord. It's also important to remember that he loved Lady Jolder very much (in whichever way you want to interpret it) and that watching her make the choice to die a final death has had a heavy impact on him.
Saladin remembers all this and more when he looks at the Crow. He feels rage form a hot pit in his belly when Osiris tells him about the young Lightbearer's suffering at the hands of his fellow Guardians. Osiris asks him if he can keep a secret.
"I don't like secrets," Saladin says, and that's the end of it.
Saladin doesn't really say this during Chosen and his interactions with Crow, but it's evident from this that he cares deeply about the young Light who suffered in ways Saladin only remembers people suffering during the Dark Age. It's also important to note that the Osiris he speaks to here is Savathun. Saladin seems to be uniquely unaffected by Savathun's schemes. This will repeat itself again later.
Second, arms piece.
Flavour text:
"Some know the legend. We were forged in the fires of a burning world." —Lord Saladin
Same thing as before. Referencing the post-Collapse Dark Age. The lore tab details a really tragic story of the Iron Lords burying bodies, including the implication of Saladin burying the body of a child. He recalls that these people were victims of Fallen Raiders.
"It's a vicious circle," Efrideet had said as she tied off a funeral shroud with great care. Saladin remembers the bundle being very small. "One day, I'm going to break it."
Saladin remembers how easily the body fit in his arms, how light it felt as he laid it in the grave. He remembers, with shame, pretending not to hear Efrideet's words so he wouldn't need to respond to them.
He remembers not having anything kind to say.
He obviously regrets not having a stronger stance on this in the past. Where Efrideet seems to have always been keen on ending the cycle of violence, he clearly thought differently and is now ashamed of it. This transitions into more about his relation to Crow:
Saladin remembers all this and more whenever the Crow talks back to him. Sometimes, he bites down on the inside of his cheek. Sometimes, he looks up to find his Ghost focused on him with a knowing look.
He doesn't say anything to his Ghost either.
Because Crow was saying things that reminded him of Efrideet. Breaking the cycles of violence, extending a friendly hand, not treating everyone like an enemy. It's evident that this turmoil is still inside of him as someone who spent most of his time fighting for survival, only to be told by those younger than him that there's a way out of that war. It's a very common struggle of people dealing with trauma and specifically PTSD to not be able to imagine and/or live in a world of peace and to outright reject the possibility of peace ever existing. Saladin is very clearly dealing with that and here, we see it from his own POV: despite sometimes being harsh to Crow, there were times when he chose to say nothing because deep down he knows that Crow is right. Accepting that is a long process though.
Third, chest piece.
Flavour text:
"Some know the legend. We rose from the ashes of a dying world to save humanity from itself." —Lord Saladin
Same again, but this is an interesting way to phrase it. He's talking about humanity being a danger to itself, not about any external threat. Ultimately, the Traveler's gift was the first thing that harmed humanity post-Collapse, despite later being the thing that saved it.
This leads into Saladin's thoughts on the Red War, something we've been sorely missing for a very long time.
Saladin remembers losing his connection to the Light. He remembers thinking that the Traveler must have discovered his most secret doubts; the darkest thoughts he shared with no one—not even his Ghost. He remembers the strange sense of relief that had washed over him until his radio crackled to life just moments later.
His deepest secret? Probably that Light is a burden. When he lost the connection to the Light, he specifically thought it had only happened to him and then felt relief. Freedom from the eternal war he has to keep waging. I'm sure he feels incredible shame for thinking it would be better to just lose the Light and die a final death, but alas, he is bound by duty. Especially a Titan's duty.
He stands there thinking about it for a while before finally deciding to embrace that duty. And now we know what he was doing during the Red War:
"Saladin," his Ghost said again, and Saladin remembers moving. He remembers clutching his radio and rallying survivors—those strong enough to make the journey—to the Iron Temple.
It's been abbreviated as him "sitting out" the Red War because he didn't fight. Of course it was strange that the last remaining active Iron Lord did not show up to the City to fight alongside all the others, both Guardians and ordinary humans. That Lord Saladin, someone who endured so many hardships and fought so many battles since the Dark Age, hasn't come to help humanity in its time of greatest need.
But now this hits different. He didn't fight, yes. He couldn't. Losing the Light wasn't just something that made him scared (like all Lightbearers): it was something that made him scared of how he might actually enjoy dying a glorious final death. To end the trauma and the memories of all the horrors he's been through. So instead of throwing himself into a reckless death, he chose to stay in the Iron Temple and protect survivors.
So yeah, he didn't fight, but he did something equally important. The Iron Temple is an extremely well protected fortress that's very difficult to reach and breach, so any survivor he gathered was perfectly safe there until the Red War ended. Sometimes "sitting out" is more noble than fighting.
Saladin remembers all this and more whenever the Crow challenges him on his cowardice during the Red War. He wants to break the young Guardian's back to teach him a lesson about what it's like to feel helpless, but something stops him.
He remembers hearing stories about the Crow's life on the Shore before he arrived at the Tower, and does not raise a hand against him.
The lore entry ends with telling us that Saladin was clearly very agitated about Crow's teasing. But in the end, he remembered what Crow has been through and realised that Crow already knows what it's like to feel helpless. He did not need a reminder and Saladin decided to take the teasing without a response. It truly frames some of those voice lines in a different light, knowing this background.
Fourth, leg piece!
Flavour text:
"Some know the legend. We crossed a burning world with sword in hand, bringing justice and blood." —Lord Saladin
Once more, we are told that Saladin was mostly forged (eheh) through his experience in the Dark Age.
The lore page details a bittersweet memory Saladin has of him with his fellow Iron Lords and friends enjoying some good time over a meal and song.
He remembers Radegast asking him to sing the song taught to them by the people of the blacksmith's village, but agreeing only when Jolder and Perun promised to join in. Their voices rose like wolves in the night and were so raw by morning that none of them could speak.
This is honestly heartbreaking. Saladin being this happy and free to sing and enjoy himself: compared to how he is now. But even with that, he has retained the need to do it again sometimes, if he ever finds people to be comfortable around.
Saladin remembers all this and more when Zavala tells him Amanda has taken the Crow out to drink in the City's streets. He wonders what song they'll sing, if it's anything like the one he's heard everyone humming lately—even though he hasn't tried it himself.
I love how he projects his past joy onto the two young people and wonders if they'll do the same as he did once. Here we also get another hint about Saladin apparently not being affected by Savathun's viral chant. It might be a point relevant in the future.
Finally, class item!
Flavour text:
"Some know the legend. We crushed the Warlords beneath our heel so that they may never rise again." —Lord Saladin
Nothing new here. Just Saladin recounting how hard they went against the Warlords.
The rest is a very poignant lore page that details the relationship between Saladin and Zavala. Zavala studied under Saladin who was his mentor and it's been repeated often that Saladin has retained a "soft spot" for him.
Saladin remembers the first time he met Zavala. He remembers thinking that the Awoken had regal bearing like the stags he once hunted on the Steppes. His shoulders were broad, and his chin held high. When he moved, he did so with the strength and purposeful deliberation of someone with the power to determine his own place in the world.
"You'll never have a son," his Ghost had said, "but it isn't too late for you to take an apprentice."
I love when non-Awoken describe Awoken, there's always something ethereal about it. But I'm mostly putting this part here because of what Saladin's Ghost says.
First, I am incredibly soft for older Guardians adopting younger ones as kids and teaching them. Easily my favourite dynamic ever. Saladin seeing Zavala as a son makes me cry a thousand tears.
And second, is this finally a full confirmation that Guardians cannot bear children? It's kind of a strange place to put it, but it seems to be the implication. It makes sense they wouldn't be able to, but it's also nice to have some direct lore information about it in case it pops up as a question. I'm sorry if this ruins anyone's fics.
Saladin remembers their sparring matches. He remembers how Zavala always got back on his feet, no matter how many times Saladin put him down. He remembers refusing to offer the younger Lightbearer a hand up. Until the day Zavala finally bested him in combat.
He remembers lying flat on his back, left shoulder dislocated and ribs shattered, a strange pressure on his chest that made it difficult to breathe.
"Finish it," Saladin had commanded because that was the way of things. His Ghost would revive him.
Saying nothing, Zavala hauled him to his feet instead.
I love how this is placed at the end, paralleling the beginning of Saladin remembering his deaths and the pain of dying. But instead of "finishing it," Zavala pulls him back up. It's definitely something Saladin hasn't experienced before, especially not before becoming an Iron Lord, when all of his deaths were just gruesome ends to a struggle. Then seconds after, he'd be back up. He took the revival for granted, until Zavala offered him the alternative. Again, an interesting perspective about something we don't usually think about much. I do wonder how Saladin healed afterwards though.
Saladin remembers all this and more when his former apprentice calls him into his office and tells him about the face behind the Crow's mask. Zavala says he knows that Saladin doesn't like secrets; that it's unfair to ask him to keep one of this magnitude, but there will come a time when the Crow needs someone—the way Zavala needed Saladin.
"You never needed anyone," Saladin insists.
Zavala only smiles.
This page ends with the two bonding again. Despite their differences and disagreements, there's mutual respect between the mentor and the apprentice. The father and the son.
And Saladin thinks Zavala never needed him, but that is obviously not true and Zavala tells him so. He also tells him that Crow, and implied Guardians like him, will need the same guidance.
It gives us a full circle back to Saladin's musings about his purpose as a Guardian and Lightbearer. He may have doubted his place in the world before, but seeing as he's still here with us and actively participating and helping; training us through Iron Banner, helping with the Eliksni, refusing to side against the Vanguard despite the difference in opinion, now serving as Zavala's ambassador for the Cabal and easily bonding with someone he would've considered an enemy not long ago...
I think Saladin knows his place. He's one of the strongest Lightbearers and most principled among them. He is not swayed by lies and deceptions, he does not abide by them and speaks plainly. He has deeply rooted beliefs in justice and he will not compromise himself, even if it means conceding his position to make peace with a former enemy when that enemy proves their worth, honesty and good intentions to him.
He is a Guardian.
He is an Iron Lord.

6.2k | cavalry captain!jeonghan x gn pyro!reader, genshin impact au, fluff, adventure, drinking, so much flirting, mentions of trauma, honestly this is the sweetest i'm ever gonna write jeonghan
happy inazuma release day!!! it's your local kaeya trash, because i predictably fall for gay bastards that lie straight to my face (example: jeonghan), and i'm here to give you a fic i wrote AGES ago and just polished up a bit to celebrate the release of what is likely going to be my FAVORITE region in genshin impact. i'm japanese so 😅 i have a soft spot. if there's any other gaymer carats out there, enjoy this one. if not, sorry! you can actually probably still read this and understand it for the most part, though you might miss a bit of context of the landscape and the lore.
ps. go tell @babiemingoo that wonwoo xinqiu 🤭
~
your work with the adventurer's guild was always efficient. you received your commissions, you carried them out, then returned for your reward, usually before the sun had even peaked. the rest of your day was generally spent either basking in the eternal sun of mondstadt, feeding cats in inazuma, or enjoying a hard earned meal in liyue, depending on where you decided to stay that week, finding board and paying for it with the commission you had earned that day. your tendency to wander came less from choice and more from nature - you could call yourself a nomad, but generally, you just got bored, and preferred seeing everything teyvat had to offer rather than settling in one place. adventuring was simply what you were meant to do, your mother had told you at a young age.
she, too, had wandered for most of her youth, and didn't stop just because you had come into her life. you remembered getting scooped up because you had wandered off a bit too close to the railing at wangshu inn as a toddler, playing with dogs at the docks of liyue harbor. you remembered the ludi harpastum and the first time you had ever had a sweet honey roast, and the way it made your eyes grow ten times in size before you dug in for more.
when your vision was bestowed upon you, you already knew how to use a sword. it was important, your mother told you, that you knew how to protect yourself. she had a vision as well, younger even than you had, and you had come to recognize the static in the air as a sign that she was angry - whether it was because of an altercation with someone on your journey or because you had secretly eaten the last hashbrown without consulting her first.
she used her vision and a sturdy blade she had owned since before you were born to protect the two of you on the road, but when she felt you were old enough, she taught you how to weild. a two handed weapon that was far too big for you when you were only fourteen, but when your reckless abandon got paired with a spark, you suddenly became far more dangerous than even your own mother. she scolded you for nearly starting a forest fire when you tried to pair the two skills for the first time after receiving your vision, and you both agreed that training was a beach activity from then on.
your mother settled eventually, after you were old and skilled enough to take on the road alone, pulling the many favors she had gathered in her travels to build a home in a small neighborhood south of liyue harbor, nestled in the foothills of mount tianheng, where you visited as often as your wandering allowed.
you had become much better with your vision. more careful but just as hot. quick to scan situations and strategize in the moment, hardly taking a second before jumping into action, slaying hilichurls like you were getting paid. well, you were, you supposed, but you had been doing this long before you had discovered the benefit of joining the guild. you were good at it. you were built for adventure, but revelled in leisure. there was good reason you were able to take afternoons off, and you milked every last second of it.
"you're back in town?"
you grinned, leaning your sword against the wall and dropping your bag off your shoulders before settling at the bar. "for now."
rubin often served you alcohol - when you were in mondstadt, at least, however often that may be - but never questioned you deeply. he would ask how your travels were, and listen to your stories from regions beyond his knowledge, of the cultures that he had only heard of from people like you. he enjoyed them just about as much as any, if not a little more, purely because your tenacious personality brought something more to the table. he wondered, though, how long you intended to keep living day by day, sleeping in different beds every week.
"what's wrong with sleeping in different beds?" you teased, laughing into your wine glass. "if i didn't know any better, i'd think you were shaming me, rube."
rubin simply laughed, knowing your tone by now. "i just wonder if you ever intend on digging in your roots, or if you'll continue travelling forever."
"if i dig roots, you may never see me again. is that what you want?"
"what," he said. "you don't like mondstadt?"
"i love monstadt," you assured him. "but i also love inazuma. and my mother is in liyue, though she might be upset with me if i try to settle too close to her. perhaps natlan would suit me more?" you shrugged finally, the door behind you opening as you finished with "i suppose i'll settle when i've found a reason to love one place more than the rest."
rubin shook his head, a chuckle falling from his lips. "a wanderer through and through." his attention was quickly drawn to the man entering the bar. "ah, captain! the usual?"
"please," the decorated man said, quickly taking a seat beside you despite the rest of the bar being available. "would you like another, wanderer?"
you eyed him cautiously, studying what you could see if his face around the black eyepatch, gaze skimming down his elaborate clothing before looking down at your emptied drink. "sure."
"another for your wandering friend, rubin, on my tab, please." your brain swirled, considering the brief information you had been given and wondered how you had never managed to meet this regular during your past visits. "are you just drinking dandelion wine, or something more fun?"
"more fun?" you asked. "what are you drinking, then?"
"well, a death after noon, of course," he stated. "don't tell me you haven't had one."
you blinked at him. "i haven't."
you turned towards rubin when he laughed at the back and forth. "shall i make two, then?"
"definitely," your new drinking buddy said, then gestured to you. "you trust my taste, right?"
you said nothing, but he accepted your silent smile as an agreeance. "captain," you said finally, thinking of how rubin had addressed him. "of?"
the man turned towards you, his elbow planted on the bar and his cheek on a fist. despite his get up, he had a playful smirk across his lips. "you mean, my reputation doesn't precede me? you really are a wanderer. everyone in mondstadt knows my name."
"everyone but me," you corrected. "as i'm currently in mondstadt."
his teeth shone behind his smirking lips before he sat up straight. "well, allow me to introduce myself." he saluted, his arm extending from his side at an angle - a salute you recognized from the guards around the city. "i am jeonghan, the cavalry captain of the knights of favonius."
"ah, the knights," you smiled briefly, before letting your eyes wander as you thought, crossing your arms over the bar. "i don't see much of a cavalry in the city, though."
he let out an amused exhale. "so i have a bit more free time these days."
"i'm sure the acting grand master is jealous of all your free time," you teased. "poor guy, looks like he's staving off a panic attack every time i see him. you should probably help him more."
"so," he sighed, leaning against the bar again. "you know of the acting grand master but not me?"
"jihoon?" you asked. "of course i know of him. he's all anyone ever talks about around here."
jeonghan nodded once, thanking rubin when he placed two drinks before you. "people talk about me, also, you know."
your lips stuck out in a pout. "jeonghan, you said? doesn't ring a bell."
he rolled his eyes and picked up his drink, holding it out for you to cheers against. you giggled, clinking your glass against his before taking a sip. the golden liquid was sweet, but not like the dandelion wine you had grown to love in this region. it had more depth, a subtle bitterness to it, and a refreshing bubble. you stared after the glass when it left your lips, then looked over to find jeonghan grinning at you.
"i see why it's your usual," you said, taking another sip before placing the glass on the bar. "i could drink too many."
"will you?" he asked.
"not tonight," you replied coolly. "i haven't asked sana to put me up at the guild yet, and if i get there too late, i'll get a cot instead of a bed. unless rubin finally wants to come clean about something?"
the bartender laughed. "how many times do i have to tell you? we don't even have rooms to board."
you squinted at him. "i know there's something upstairs. i'll learn your secrets one day, rube."
"i wouldn't be a very good bartender if i didn't know how to keep them."
"so you're in the guild?" jeonghan asked as rubin attended to another patron. "an adventuring wanderer."
you smiled vaguely at him. "i am. i have to pay for my travels somehow."
he shrugged. "there's other ways to make money. probably more profitable, too."
you eyed his teasing smirk. "i'm not sure i know what you're implying."
"as a captain of the knights of favonius, i assure you, i'm implying nothing at all," he said, exhaling sharply and adjusting on his stool. he leaned over towards you before speaking in a quieter tone. "but as jeonghan, i think you know exactly what i'm implying."
you only laughed, recognizing the thinly veiled attempt to worm a secret out of you. "i outgrew those means a long time ago. besides, when mora gets tight, i can always board up with my mother. i like liyue enough."
jeonghan studied you as you drank again. "liyue's home, is it?'
"for her, yes," you said, looking over to him, but you found yourself looking away again when his steely blue gaze met yours. you thought carefully about how much of yourself you were willing to reveal to this stranger, especially considering how important he was in the rule of the city. "she was a wanderer, too, and ended up falling in love with liyue harbor."
jeonghan made note of the way your face softened as you spoke about your mother. "and what about you?"
you met his intent look again, thinking about how his covered eye somehow made him even more intimidating. perhaps that was its purpose. "what about me?"
"what have you fallen in love with?"
a smile crept onto your lips as you processed his question. "oh, archons, what have i not fallen in love with? the smell of the open ocean in inazuma, the breathtaking temples in sumeru - have you ever been to waterfall city?"
jeonghan merely shook his head at you, the corners of his mouth turning upwards as he put his cheek on a fist again, leaning against the bar. "beautiful?"
you exhaled, eyes wide as you thought of the towering falls and the light mist that covered the city, trying to come up with an apt description. "humbling. there's nothing like it."
he watched your expression, head tilting further. "what a wonderful way to describe a place. tell me more."
your gaze went to him, then away briefly, feeling suddenly shy as you noticed his look. "about waterfall city?"
he shrugged a fur covered shoulder, shaking his head lightly. "about anywhere. describe your world, wanderer. i'd like to hear whatever you have to say."
you wondered if the heat that ran through you was because of the alcohol or the man, but you just took another drink and cleared your throat lightly, thinking of more places you had discovered in your travels. you thought of qingce village, one of your favorite places to visit, because the people are kind and welcoming and the fields are so beautiful. you told him about a tea shop owned by an old man - he insisted you call him pops so fiercely that you weren't even sure you had caught his given name - and it was probably the most relaxing cup of tea you ever had.
"it's been a while since i've gone," you sighed. "i think i'm overdue for a chat with pops and his tea."
jeonghan was smiling when you looked at him again. "the tea in liyue is unmatched," he said, reaching for his drink. before taking another sip, he gestured for you to continue.
so you did. you told him about sakura pond, about celestia city, about the volcanic black beaches. you told him liyue had your favorite people, but inazuma had your favorite food. he clicked his tongue at you.
"what about mondstadt? do we have one of your favorites?"
you smiled, genuinely. "sunsets. the night sky is different here than it is anywhere else. i think mondstadt is the closest we can get to the stars without joining the archons."
jeonghan studied you briefly, his blue eye flicking over your face as you finished your drink. "i think that's an apt observation. it seems your eyes are always wide."
"i travel for the views," you exhaled. "i don't plan on missing any."
he thought a second. "have you been to starsnatch cliff?"
your eyes lit up. "not in years," you said, in complete shock that you could have forgotten such a place. you pushed from the bar slightly, turning towards him, and he noticed the flash of a red gem strapped to your right thigh for the first time. "my mother took me there when i was a kid, but i haven't gone since."
"it never gets old," he said, sipping at the end of his drink. "i've yet to see that view and not be in awe."
"i'll go before i leave mondstadt again," you decided.
he looked to you. "when will that be?"
you sighed. "not sure, yet."
he just chuckled. "would you like another drink?"
"oh, no," you said, standing and stretching your spine. "i should make my leave. i don't like sleeping on cots. i just came by to let my ol' pal rube know i was in town again."
jeonghan watched you pull your pack onto your back, grabbing the handle of your sheathed claymore from where it was leaning against the wall next to the bar. "perhaps i'll see you again tomorrow?"
you looked at him, a vague smile on your lips as you strapped your sword back on. "perhaps you will, captain."
"jeonghan," he corrected. "but i don't believe you ever shared your name?"
"that was by design, captain," you said, and he swore he caught a glint in your eye as you bid rubin a farewell and stepped out of the angel's share.
jeonghan spun back around on his stool, immediately looking to rubin. "do you know their name?"
"no, sir," he said, looking at the closed door. "they've never said."
jeonghan's gaze went to the empty glass you had left behind, thinking about your stories, your sword, and the signifier of your vision on your thigh. "fascinating."
you got lucky - sana had a private room for you, and said you were welcome to rent it for your stay. she said not many people were travelling to mondstadt these days, and that more often than not, the adventurer's barracks in headquarters went unused. ever since the fatui had holed up in the grand goth hotel, it had been harder for you to make extended stays in mondstadt, but it seemed that something was telling you to stick around longer than usual. you laid on the hard mattress - a feeling that was more comforting than most, thanks to your continuous travels - and thought of the charming captain that had made a night of questioning you. you wondered if he really had any interest in anything you had to say, or if he had been hoping for details about something pertinent to an investigation.
you packed a lighter bag in the morning, only bringing along the essentials as you set out for your commissions for the day. that afternoon, you wandered around mondstadt and asked questions. questions about the simultaneously well-discussed and mysterious cavalry captain that had listened to your tales of travel, and answers came easier than expected, though they didn't contain all the details you were looking for. that night, you waited up at the angel's share to brag about your newfound knowledge to the captain that never showed, and you did your best to not let that hurt your ego.
the next day, you made a detour on your way back to the city after completing your commissions, stopping by springvale to enjoy a well deserved lunch and catch up with some locals. you sat in the grass with a skewer of grilled meat, watching the windmills of mondstadt steadily spin in the distance as time passed, thinking about how rubin had asked you if you didn't like it here.
you did, you decided. mondstadt felt different than anywhere else you had been. untouched, almost. wilder. freer. despite being born in inazuma, your first memories being in celestia, or your mother being in liyue, mondstadt felt comfortable. felt like a home. you wondered to yourself what that might mean.
sana greeted you happily when you returned much later than you normally did. she told you to go ahead to the guild and come back, filing away your reports and retrieving your rewards. you dropped off your things in your rented room, quickly, practically galloping back down the steps towards the entrance of the city to continue your conversation with the adventurer guilds' mighty receptionist without your sword weighing you down. you crossed your arms on the counter, comfortably lounging as you chatted with her, having always enjoyed her conversations more than most. like rubin, she was a reason mondstadt always felt comfortable.
"fancy meeting you here," an all too familiar voice said, and you pulled your eyes from sana to find jeonghan leaning his side against the counter next to you.
"good evening, cavalry captain!" sana chirped, placing your reward - your room free already removed - on the counter and bowing politely. "can i help you with anything today?"
his icy gaze flickered from your lightly curved lips towards sana. "oh, no, my dear. i'm just coming back from an investigation near springvale"
"interesting," you said, eyeing him. "i was just there and didn't see you."
"i wouldn't be very good at my job if you did, wanderer," he grinned. "knight business, you wouldn't understand. got the assignment yesterday."
"ah," you shifted to your side to face him, making him eye the vision on your thigh. "is that why you never showed? rubin was worried."
he looked you up and down. "rubin was, huh?"
you rolled your eyes and adjusted your posture to face away from his smirk. sana looked between the two of you twice before clearing her throat as quietly as possible, making jeonghan let out a chuckle before he directed his attention to the guild's receptionist.
"how goes holding the post, sana?"
she looked almost frightened when the attention was directed back to her. "good, captain! in fact, one of our most capable adventurers-" she gestured to you, "-just returned from taking care of some of our more difficult commissions - no one else would take them."
jeonghan looked at you. "why did sana have to tell your secret?"
your eyebrows quirked upwards. "what secret?"
"that you're good at this. shouldn't you be bragging?"
a chuckle spilled from your lips, and jeonghan watched you as you looked away. "i'm not the bragging type."
he studied you a moment. "what type are you, then?"
you considered the question, wondering exactly how to answer. what type were you? if not a teller, than surely you must be a shower, but that didn't seem right either. you exhaled. "the quiet type. see you later, sana."
he laughed, pushing off the counter as you tucked your mora into your waist bag, wishing sana a good evening and following you towards the fountain. "you sure talk a lot for being the quiet type."
a smirk landed itself on your lips as he fell into step beside you. "maybe private is a better description."
"that one i can see," jeonghan said, looking over to you. he thought of how you had spent nearly an hour telling him about the best views in teyvat, yet he still didn't know the most basic information about you. "do you share your name with anyone?"
you thought. "my mother."
he scoffed. "anyone else?"
you looked to the sky. "rubin."
"wrong," he retorted. "he doesn't know your name, either."
you laughed, looking over to him as you came up to the fountain, spinning and sitting back on the ledge. "you asked?"
"of course i asked," he said, planting one foot on the ledge beside you and placing his arms on his knee. "i asked other people, too. almost everyone knows you, but they don't know anything about you. bits and pieces, but never the full picture."
you just smiled up at him from your relaxed posture on the concrete. "what's wrong with a little intrigue?"
he just smiled back at you. "nothing. i tend to keep a bit myself. did you know there's a large number of people in this city that were shocked when i said you wield a claymore?"
you hummed, dipping the tips of your fingers into the fountain. "did you know there's a large number of people in this city that consider you the most eligible bachelor in not only mondstadt, but in all of teyvat?"
his lips parted slightly as you spoke. "so you snooped, too."
"i was bored yesterday. it wasn't hard," you exhaled. you flicked a drop of water towards his foot. "jeonghan yoon, the cavalry captain of the knights of favonius since he was only nineteen. who loves wine and whose adopted brother runs the biggest winery in teyvat, yet they're hardly ever seen speaking. who comes from a far off land on a different continent, but has come to love mondstadt like it was his home. who wears an eyepatch but has never told anyone why."
he chuckled at the assessment and pulled his foot off the ledge to sit beside you. "so when do i get to learn about you?"
"i told you about me yesterday," you said.
"you told me about teyvat," he corrected. "and while i was able to infer some things about your character, i still know close to nothing about you."
you thought for a moment, realizing no one had ever noticed how little you truly shared despite always being willing to tell stories. "sometimes it feels like i am teyvat. it's hard to think of things that are just about me."
"you could start with that vision," he said, nodding at the strap across your thigh. you looked down at it, exhaling.
"what's there to tell? you know what it means, and that's more teyvat than me, too."
he leaned back on a hand, looking you up and down in curiosity. "how old were you."
you chewed your cheek. "fourteen. you?"
his lip quirked upwards. "sixteen."
you bumped his shoulder with yours playfully. "beat you."
he laughed. "how'd it happen?"
you paused. "you go first."
he just chuckled and looked away, watching a dog wander past the general store. "another day, then."
"no fun," you sighed, brushing your hands together as you leaned forward. "what about the eyepatch?"
he met your eyes, mouth slanted in a smirk. "another day."
you clicked your tongue. "if you wanna learn about me, you have to be willing to give up some details, too. i value a fair trade."
"then stop asking questions that you know i won't share the answer to." jeonghan noticed the color of the sky, then suddenly pulled a pocket watch out, checking it quickly to confirm that there was enough time and stood. "come with me?"
you stared up at him. "where?"
he grinned, extending a hand to help you to your feet. "you said mondstadt's sunsets were your favorite, correct?"
you generally weren't prone to following mysterious men into back corridors, but jeonghan easily convinced you with no words at all that sneaking around the sight line of the acting grand master was completely normal behavior, sushing you with a grin as you giggled, taking refuge around a corner after the two of you made it up to the second floor of the favonius headquarters. he tugged your hand with his, pulling you into a steep maintenance staircase behind a door.
"this feels like it's against some rules," you said, climbing the stairs behind him.
"nonsense," he said, looking back at you and grinning. "are you suggesting that a knight of favonius would break rules just to impress a mysterious traveler?"
you laughed quietly, wondering if he really meant that he wanted to impress you. "not most, but maybe this one."
he only thought for a split second. "if anyone asks, we're on official knight business."
he opened the door and you found the sky again, beginning to glow orange as the edge of the sun began to hide behind the cliffs. you stared in awe at the way the few fluffy clouds reflected pink and gold, then readjusted your focus when jeonghan spoke again.
"i hope you aren't afraid of heights," he said, walking over to the parapets that surrounded you. "the best view requires a bit of a climb."
you looked up at the tower, and while it wasn't much higher than where you stood, you also recognized that you were well above most of mondstadt already. "you climb up there?"
he paused, studying you. "we don't have to, we can just sit on a merlon-"
"no, we can climb," you said, walking over to where he was and eyeing the small gap between the parapet and the adjacent roof. "hop over?"
he laughed, stepping over the gap and holding a hand out for you. "watch your step."
and though you didn't need it, you accepted the hand anyways, and it stayed on yours as you walked over the roof to the tower, as if making sure you didn't misstep several stories in the air.
"would you like to go first?" he asked. "i'll catch you if you fall."
you rolled your eyes at him, dropping your hand from his grip. "you go first. i want to see where the handholds are."
he just grinned at you. "very well," he said, tugging on the wrists of his fingerless gloves to make sure they were taught against his skin before taking hold of a brick. you watched him as he took foothold after foothold, and he resisted the urge to show off by speedily scaling the wall in favor of making sure you had the chance to see where he gripped. when he reached the opening in the tower, he pulled himself up and spun around, exhaling with a grin as he seated himself at the ledge with his legs dangling above you.
"your turn."
you adjusted your waist bag as you sighed in amused annoyance, spinning it to be behind you and out of your hips' way to climb the wall. it wasn't much - a couple meters, maybe - and you had definitely climbed further, but jeonghan's presence made you slightly nervous. that nervousness, however, just fueled you to prove yourself.
you scaled the wall easily, making jeonghan whistle and jokingly call you some kind of adventurer, and your only hesitation came when his hand was in your face. despite your initial inclination to ignore it, you put your left hand in his, allowing him to help you pull yourself up on the ledge and sit beside him.
"impressive," he commented.
you laughed, brushing off your hands. "you, too."
"c'mon," he said, gesturing his head over his shoulder before making moves to stand. "the view's on the other side."
you sighed, looking over the view of mondstadt shrouded in golden light as he stood and walked to the other ledge. "never a moment of rest with you."
"if you want to miss the sunset, be my guest."
you leaned back on your hands and laughed, pulling your gaze away from the city to look at where jeonghan had seated himself on the other end of the tower, and subsequently the view of the rolling hills beyond him that were glowing golden in the evening sun. you blinked for a second, realizing you hadn't seen the sunset the night before, and quickly got to your feet to join him before you missed this one, too.
he gave you a soft smile when you sat beside him, and you briefly wondered how many he had in his repertoire. the wind was stronger higher, whipping gently through his hair and alleviating any uncomfortable warmth you may have had from exerting yourself on the way up. you watched the dregs of sunlight skip across the grassy hills and the sky turn deep orange and bright pink, feet swinging lightly over the edge of the tower.
"i was fighting with my brother," he said suddenly, causing you to look at him with a start before you realized he was telling you about his vision. there was a slight smile on his face as he looked out on the fields. "hyungwon. it was bad. he already had his - he's a pyro, like you - and we were both young and stupid and just lost our dad. we were sword fighting and it came to me when i needed it. it probably saved my life, honestly."
you blinked at him. "you think he would have killed you?'
he exhaled, leaning back on his hands. "i think if the roles had been reversed, i would have tried to kill him, too. i'm grateful it didn't go that way, though." he coughed abruptly, clearing his throat. "we're on speaking terms, and i do love him as a brother, but i generally avoid him."
you let that thought ruminate as you watched the sun sink, halfway beyond the horizon. "my father was in a gang in inazuma, but my mom ran away when she found out she was pregnant. didn't want to raise a kid in that world, i guess? we ran into him when i got older and he wasn't very understanding." you paused, remembering the detail too well. "they were going to take her vision. that's what they did to traitors. probably take me, too. they weren't expecting me to start setting fires."
jeonghan's gaze was on you as yours was on the horizon. "just a couple of survivors."
you looked over at him, a smirk on your lips. "a couple?"
he laughed waving at your implication, thinking he would have said the same thing in an attempt to fluster you just as you were to him. "like, more than one and less than four."
you only laughed back. "fortune favors the weak, i suppose. the archons saw we needed help and extended a fig branch."
"is that what it was?" he asked, a laugh on his lips. "we were both fighting people. that's hardly an offer of peace."
"look for the deeper meaning, jeonghan. we were fighting for our lives," you pointed out, and he realized it was the first time you had addressed him by his name rather than his title. "i was fighting for family. for freedom. is that not the greatest pursuit of peace?"
he watched you as you pulled your knees to your chest, putting your feet on the edge of the stonework surface you sat on. he studied the way the golden rays lit your skin and made your eyes sparkle. "i suppose so."
you paused in that moment for a long while, and jeonghan allowed the comfortable silence as the two of you watched the sun disappear beyond the cliffs of mondstadt. the sky was turning a deep shade of purple when you told him your name, and jeonghan thought that it was quite possibly the best news he had ever received, but he kept that joy to himself as he confirmed your name, and you rolled your eyes.
"are you gonna answer my other question now?"
he scoffed. "about the eyepatch? is it really that interesting?"
"not any more interesting than my name," you retorted.
"completely untrue," jeonghan insisted. "i've never been so excited to be told a secret, and i get told a lot of secrets."
you eyed his smile warily. "my name may be unknown, but it's no secret."
he sighed and shook his head lightly. "you really wanna know the reason i wear it? it's probably not as dramatic as you're hoping."
"yet you hide it?"
he laughed. "what's wrong with a little intrigue?"
you looked away, recognizing the parrot of your own words. "whatever you say, captain."
"no!" he whined and grabbed your arm, making you start and look at him with big eyes. "you just started calling me jeonghan, don't go back to captain."
you stared at him, only breaking to laugh, dropping your legs over the edge again. "you won't show me what's under the eyepatch, so i thought we weren't on first name basis."
his hand on your bicep was warm and gentle, but his gaze was piercing as he thought it over for a bit longer. you did your best to hold it, but you felt yourself shrinking when he quietly muttered, "go on, then."
it took you a second to register what he meant, and you reached out slowly, fingers hesitating before they brushed upon his cheekbone. jeonghan closed his eyes, resigning to your touch as you gently lifted the eyepatch. his eyes opened again, slowly, and you thought your heart might have skipped a beat.
"like chocolate," you commented, and a smile spread across his lips.
"that's the kindest reaction i've gotten."
your fingers fell upon his temple, brushing down gently as you inspected his singular brown eye. "since birth?"
he nodded, his eyes flicking down to your lips briefly before he spoke. "heterochromia. it's a characteristic of my family."
you studied his face. "not the one here?"
he sighed. "not the one here."
the icy blue of jeonghan's eye had always struck something in you. it made him mysterious. commanding. it felt like he saw more than you despite having one eye covered. but now, you felt warm. you felt his gentleness. there was comfort hidden away behind that black patch, and you told him that you understood why the cavalry captain had chosen to hide the eye he did.
but to you, he was willing to show anything that would keep you around longer, he said.
"why me?" you asked, studying his expression when he looked away. the sun had retreated behind the hills, leaving the sky a deep blue.
jeonghan didn't respond right away, and you wondered if he himself even knew the answer. "we're birds of a feather, you and i."
you looked out to the view again, watching the subtle movements of the wild hills. "did you travel much before you came here?"
"it was all i knew," he told you. "i was thirteen when my father left me here."
your neck snapped, your eyes on his profile when he leaned back on his hands. "left you?"
he almost laughed, a smile on his lips when his eyes met yours. "i was slowing him down, i suppose. hyungwon's father found me and took me in."
"so you stayed?"
"i didn't always want to," he assured you. "i had the itch to leave for years. as soon as i was able, i always told myself." he paused, eyes dropping. "then father died. then hyungwon turned down his position with the knights. and i was their second choice."
you pursed your lips. "you stayed for a job."
he laughed. "it's not that simple."
you smiled at him, enjoying the warmth of his eyes on yours as the sky cooled. "are you sure we're birds of a feather?"
"listen," he said, getting off his hands and brushing them off on his thighs. "i accepted the job so that i could set the story straight. i didn't want to run from the people that believed that hyungwon tried to kill me to avenge our father."
you studied him. "i'm sorry."
"don't be," he said, nudging your shoulder. "i was still planning on leaving, but then i fell in love."
you looked away, trying to sort out the way your stomach flipped. "are they still around?"
"not with a person," he laughed, then nodded towards the now dark hills. "with the views. besides, i get free reign whenever i leave for missions. i have fun adventuring, and come home to the best sunsets in teyvat. there are worse places to call home."
your eyes scanned the horizon, remembering the brilliant rays of sun you had just seen skip across it. "that is tempting."
"how tempting?" he asked.
you thought on that for a moment. "almost as much as a death after noon right now."
jeonghan laughed, slightly proud that he had hooked you on his favorite drink. "shall we go see rubin, then?"
you hummed, smiling at the captain. "as long as i don't have to sit alone again."
"that's a promise," he told you as he stood, holding out a hand that you took without hesitation, though he withheld his intention to make sure you were never alone again.

So thanks to a mobile app called 5D Planner I was able to make and finally finish a mock-up of Madotsuki’s family house post-game (AKA when her family hastily moves away from the apartment her canon bedroom comes from.)
Keep in mind that the app although very customizable still has a couple limitations so nothing you see here is 100% set in stone, but very close, hence why it’s a mock-up.
Now for some good Lore(TM)
This house is a little apart from the other houses in its neighborhood. Imagine you seeing it through your own house’s window a tad far away, with some stray trees and/or posts in the way. You can see the house but not quite what happens in it. That was one of the factors Madotsuki’s parents chose it; Reeling from the mob-mentality of their previous location, they were now understandably paranoid in general, and were aiming for a safe place that could provide them privacy.
The house was meant for large families, hence why there’s so many bedrooms. However, since it’s only Madotsuki and her parents, only two rooms get taken. The rest become guest rooms.
The house was rather cheap despite its size. That’s because it wasn’t in a very good shape, which devalued the property. After buying it, the family worked on fixing its problems and refurbishing it, and even adding taller fencing around the property (front yard fencing stands at around 165 cm / 5′5′’ ft, while backyard fencing stands at a whooping 250 cm / 8′2′’ ft.)
Now for some segmented stuff pointing out things in each room/area:
OUTSIDE/EXTERIOR
Front Yard:
It’s clean and kept rather simple. The ground is covered in short trimmed grass save for some patches of grass and flowers here and there, save for the garage’s pathway to the outside gate door, which is paved with cobblestone.
The tree has a single swing toy attached to one of its thicker branches where Madotsuki can play.
Off to a corner of the front yard, there’s a mini-harvesting spot, usually kept by Madotsuki. It’s a small spot for gardening mostly some herbs and grains, which the family uses for homemade tea or other foods when convenient, as well where Madotsuki sometimes picks material to make incense or custom candles.
The area covered by 2 of the 3 balconies is a good spot to just put a recliner down at and sit on when it’s raining.
Balconies:
There are three: One linked to Madotsuki’s room, one to the red guest room, and one to the 2nd floor living room/space.
There aren’t a lot to say about them beyond the pictures, they’re very straightforward. Except only that Madotsuki keeps potted plants on hers, which she tends to like the mini-garden at the front yard.
Backyard:
Now this is where the fun stuff is!
There’s a lot of possibilities and space for recreational activities. Great to host a backyard BBQ party for a large family, as again, that’s what the house was originally meant for.
Besides two more trees and there being patches of grass and flowers over short trimmed grass here as well, it’s furnished mostly with content for leisure and relaxation, such as the seats and table on the covered little area (beneath the green guest room,) the space under the sun with an artificial shade and even a round pool to chill or play in.
There’s also some things (small tables, griller) that are kept in a corner until they are put to use.
There is a small space where the family can hang wet clothes.
More closer to the fencing, there are some kiddie content: A small slider, a singset with two swings, and a play house.
The interior of the playhouse, although not pictured in the images, is furnished in a very similar fashion to the corner under the staircase on the first floor, making it another “comfort corner” of sorts.
1ST FLOOR
Living Room:
The highlight of the living room is, ironically, one of the most unassuming spots in houses, that being the space under the staircase. It’s put together to be a “comfort corner,” with several pillows and cushions, covers and soft toys. Also comes with a small shelf and a child chair. It’s mildly covered by a few fairylights, acting like a semi-curtain.
The rest of the living room is cozy, but not exactly remarkable.
Kitchen / Dining Room:
Some scented candles and a small radio are kept by the dining part of the room.
There’s not much else to say about the kitchen area, it’s pretty straightforward. Save for the door that can lead to the backyard.
Bathroom / Laundry Room:
A bathroom with space to do the laundry as well.
While there’s a drying machine next to the washing machine, sometimes they still have to hang clothes outside on the backyard, especially the thicker ones.
No bathtub. Just a shower box.
Guest Room (Orange:)
The only bedroom or guest room located on the 1st floor.
A small but quaint and cozily arranged room, predominated with orange colors.
Garage / “Workshop:”
Honestly the most unexciting and somewhat cluttered space in the house.
Constantly gets changed around.
Kinda gets used as a makeshift storage room (and later workshop as teenager Madotsuki after her parents move back to their hometown doesn’t have a car of her own so she just makes the garage actually useful, turning it into the designated space where she works on tinkering and crafts and whatnot, so she doesn’t risk making a mess in another room.)
The only thing that usually stays unchanged is the small gym-like corner, with a treadmill, stationary bicycle and bench press. Yes everybody in the family uses those regularly to exercise. Yes even Madotsuki (although her parents didn’t allow her to use the bench press until she was older enough.)
2ND FLOOR
Living Room / Space:
The “cloth-covered table” between the two couches is actually supposed to be a kotatsu, but sadly the app had no kotatsu model, so I had to make-do with random things (square table cloth and noodle pillows.) It’s arranged as one of the most comfortable spots in the house, and helps keeping one warm during the colder periods (not that the rest of the house doesn’t, almost all rooms have at least one radiator.)
The slightly apart space next to the bathroom is a quaint corner well-suited for hosting tea-time.
Scented candles and music players are located nearby the kotatsu and tea table, to help create a relaxing experience when one’s in either.
Has a wide window-door that takes to a balcony.
Doorways to many bedrooms.
Bathroom:
Not much room for laundry, unlike the 1st floor’s bathroom.
Instead of a shower box like the 1st floor’s bathroom, there’s a bathtub.
Yes, that’s a yellow rubber ducky on the edge of the bathtub.
Master / Parent Bathroom:
The bedroom Madotsuki’s parents sleep at, making it the only bedroom with a couple-sized bed.
Generally lavender-colored.
Comes with a built in closet space on the side.
Madotsuki’s Bedroom:
Arranged in a way very similar to her room in their previous house, but not to a T.
Pinks and plums, but not too strict on the color-coding.
She gets to have fairylights above her bed area and a little next to her decor shelf because I said so.
Has a flower vase of white lilies next to the bookcase and the door.
The round object on a small cushion on the corner of her desk is a crystal ball.
A lot of the objects in the decor shelf are things like gemstones and crystals, supposed to be like her makeshift “witch altair.”
Yep, she still has her old-school pink game console, and retro TV to play it on.
Has a balcony, just like her previous bedroom did.
Guest Rooms:
Unlike the 1st floor which has only one guest room (orange,) 2nd floor has 4. (yellow, red, green and blue.) All of them arranged cozily.
Each guest room is visibly color-coded. The family arranged them so as a way to more easily identify them in conversations (I.E.: “Can you take the guest room’s bedsheets to the laundry?” “Which room?” “The blue one.” “Oh, sure.”)
Putting aside the colors, they’re all widely similar to one another even sporting similar furniture, with only minor differences in the furniture arrangement, and window(s) placement.
The red guest room is the only guest room with a balcony.

Tommy Lore Recap (April 29)
YES FUCK YES THIS WAS SO GOOD I AM SO HAPPY
Tommy (Breaking Into the Prison to Kill Dream):
Opens black screen white text "today, dream dies". Playing doctor who music (I Am The Doctor by Murray Gold I beleive)
Tommy meets Tubbo Ranboo and Ghostbur in the tower to discuss the plan. None of them are wearing armour (except ghostburs boots).
Ghostbur will go in and Tommy will follow Sam invisibly until they get to the cell where he will kill Dream with the Axe of Peace.
They coach Ghostbur on how to lie to Sam so that he doesn't find out that Tommy is there
"You promise that they're not gonna try to revive Wilbur"-Ghostbur
Tommy keeps asking Tubbo if the plan seems good, and if he has a backup plan. (Totem is the backup plan)
Friend has been moved from where Ranboo put him to beside the tower.
Tommy tells Ghostbur to put all his stuff in a chest and to being Friend to the prison.
Tommy hugs Ranboo and Tommy.
Tommy talks to Ghostbur about how nervous he is before drinking the invis and going to the prison.
They leave friend on the nether side of the protal.
They go through the prison book stuff.
Everything is fine until tommy takes the Axe out to kill dream and Sam sees him
He forces tommy to come back but Ghostbur gets stuck with Dream.
"I'll revive him if you don't let me out"- Dream
Tommy begs Sam to send him over to help Ghostbur but he won't
Dream disappears, logs out then logs back in.
Dream continues to threaten to bring Wilbur back.
Dream kills Ghostbur and Wilbur logs out.
"What have you done Tommy"- Sam
"We're leaving and you're never coming back"- Sam
"You know what Sam you're corrupt"- Tommy
They leave the prison, arguing the whole way, blaming each other, Tommy keeps asking where Ghostbur/Wilbur are.
Sam blames Tommy for all the security problems that have come up.
"Tommyinnit, let me make something clear to you, you are never allowed in this prison again. If I even see you on the grounds of this prison I will take your last canon life and hunt the ghost that remains"- Sam
Tommy takes the lead and cod from Ghostburs chest and brings Friend back through where he meets Tubbo and Ranboo.
He tells Tubbo and Ranboo that "Wilburs back" (even though he has no proof and Wilbur is still logged out)
Wilbur joins the game. When Tommy tabs to check who's on the server you can see Wilbur now has a white streak in his hair.
"Like the Wilbur, like your friend?"- Ranboo
"We are not fucking friends Ranboo"- Tommy
"Everytime I thought he changed, but Wilbur never changes"- Tommy
Tommy deduces that if Wilbur is back he would be in L'manberg, Tommy gets armour from Tubbo and the 3 of them start making their way to L'manberg.
Tommy's tells Ranboo and Tubbo to stay back when they get to him.
They make their way over to the revival area.
Where Wilbur is standing.
"Oh. Hello again."- Wilbur
Wilbur asks if this is real, saying he feels numb.
Tomy tries to drop Wilbur some blue, but he refuses to take it.
Wilbur thinks he is the one who blew it up.
"I have spent 13 and a half years!!!"-Wilbur (referring to the time he has been in the afterlife)
Tommy tries to tell Wilbur that it was Dream and Techno who did this but Wilbur is busy freaking out over being alive.
Wilbur keeps running away from the blue.
"I guess everyone has their own personal limbo. My personal limbo was a train platform"- Wilbur (for Tommy it was just void). (YOUR CITY GAVE ME ASTHMA)
"The last thing I saw was a train pulling in. Two people on it. A desaturated man who looked just like me, his face was steaming with tears. You know who was conducting the train...it was Dream. My hero!"- Wilbur
"I know so much about you Ranboo"- Wilbur (reveals that he is getting Ghostburs memories back)
Wilbur leaves, saying that he has things to do, things to plan.
"The hell did you do"- Ranboo

A character analysation of IdV’s Bloody Queen
Bloody Queen AKA Mary is a hunter in the mobile/PC game Identity V. She is personally my favorite hunter because she is easy to learn but hard to master. Her backstory is something that has always interested me though, so i decided to compile my thoughts onto this one post.
Something i appreciate about IdV’s character roster is that some of them are based off of historical characters, and interesting ones at that. So expect a lot of history lessons and references that should be explained in order to understand a character fully (especially with Mary considering how there isn’t a lot shown about her backstory through promotional content, and im talking about stuff like the official website here).
With that in mind, let’s just get into it.
There is not a lot we know about Mary other than the fact that she is inspired from a mix of stories, those being about a French queen named Marie Antoinette and Bloody Mary. These two are used in seperate ways, Marie Antoinette’s story being used as heavy inspiration for Mary’s backstory and lore, while Bloody Mary is a visual/gameplay inspiration.
Mary’s description on her info page and on the official idv website is
Tumblr media
This is strange because it really tells little to nothing about Mary besides her being aware that the position of a queen means a lot of vulnerability. It also strikes me as weird because every other hunter has a fleshed out backstory being written under this tab. (With the exception of Guard 26)
So overall, the ground to work on is pretty small, we dont have a lot of info revealed to us, and therefore leaves her to be a character who loses a lot of potential on a writing stance.
Intro Video
Mary does have an introduction video, though, which explains the base of what happened to her Pre-manor.
The video explains how Mary was the queen of a country that had a bad financial crisis which was so bad people couldn’t afford food (if we are sticking fully to the Marie Antoinette inspo, this was in the 1790′s) and the public felt as if Mary didn’t care enough to help her people, the citizens voted her to be beheaded under a guillotine. Truth be told, Mary was actually trying to help her citizens by giving them cake.
We have probably the most lore information about Mary from her deduction descriptions, which explain her career as a queen more in detail, about struggles she had and her situation in general.
Deductions
(Credits to u/mawile94 on Reddit for the images)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first conclusion is clearly telling us that the king Mary married had a problematic family, and the king’s family probably only looked at Mary as someone who will keep the family’s name up, someone who will have a child with the king. (Also, dont get confused: Maria Theresia is Mary’s mother’s name, not her actual name.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary used to spend a lot of time away from the palace in Petit Trianon, which is a manor located in Versailles. The secret letter tells us that Mary was egoistic, naive, and was kind of a glutton. The letter mentions how rumors are powerful, and are going to spread really fast once word comes out about the “incompetence” and lacking abilities witihin the royal family, which will eventually be Mary’s demise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Princess Lamballe is once again a historical recreation of actual Priness Lamballe, a part of the Savoy House (Western EU country). In real life, Lamballe was actually the confidante (someone who you would discuss private matters with as a royal) of Marie Antoinette after her 1 year old marriage came to an end. IRL, Princess Lambelle dies along Marie Antoinette’s side as she gets killed in the French Revolution.
The shameful secret can really only be assumed to mean that Lamballe was actually Mary’s secret affair, especially looking at how all evidence suggests that the actual royal family Mary is connected to seems to be a mess. Mary is kind of confirmed to be wlw from this deduction which is fucking cool, but this rumor mightve been what also caused Mary to be beheaded. (But, IRL, the king Artois considered Marie to be physicially unattractive or even smart enough for him, in contrary to him, where he apparently was attractive. He did end up making up with quite a number of mistresses. But let’s not get into a conversation about how unhealthy or toxic royal relationships were in the 1700′s)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is obviously saying Lamballe is being replaced by the Yolande (Countess of Polignac) as her confidante. IRL, this happens because the Countess of Pilognac and Lamballe start having quarrels against each other, in which they try to win over the queen’s heart, and over time Marie ends up preferring Yolande’s company. But Lamballe feels as if Yolande was a bad influence on the queen, yet she could do nothing about it. The friendship between Lamballe and Marie remained regardless, and she constantly admired Lamballe’s loyalty toward her.  "She is the only woman I know who never bears a grudge; neither hatred nor jealousy is to be found in her."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary finally has a child, and it is a girl. Here we see the reinforcement of Lamballe’s loyalty, but with this conclusion also being titled as a rumor, it is also telling that this is one of many reasons people will start getting suspicious of Mary’s possible affairs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This conclusion only leads me to believe that one of the several reasons why Mary was treated the way she was by the public was because of jealousy towards her life and the things she achieved at a young age. The description of the people who are spreading the rumors are bitter, sour people who take joy out of seeing the bad in successful people. Here is where it all goes downhill (as evident by the subtitle under the deduction title.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We will once again need a little bit of a history lesson for this one:
Koblenz, first of all is a city in Germany. The reason why the French would ever think of even setting up anything in Germany was because of the French Immigrants, and the reason why the Germans were cool about this was because the archbishop-elector (one of the chiep bishop electors) was the uncle of Louis XVI-a persecuted king of France. Along with the refugees that entered the city, two of them was Louis XVI’s brothers: The Count of Provence and the Count of Artois. them, along with Louis XVI’s cousin, Prince Louis Joseph formed an army of aristocrats who would seek to fight for the Ancien Regimé (The name of the political and social system that was popular in France at the time.) In the meantime back in France, the Royal Family gave in and decided to adopt the  Constitutional Monarchy, which was very modern at the time. This deduction description just basically explains that this is where Mary and the royal family fucks up, i just thought it would be interesting to know what they actually meant by what they wrote.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yolande has left behind the Royal Family and made a run to escape the country. If you’re wondering, at the start of the revolution Princess Lamballe was actually in Switzerland, but as soon as she got notified of the situation she revisited the royal family to aid them, and reassumed her position.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This letter in particular is pretty cut-and-clear: the intention of the revolutionists was to smudge the royal family’s name in the dirt once and for all. What real-life anti-monarchist propaganda would consist of at the time was promiscuous imagery of Lamballe and the queen as lovers to further “besmirch” the queen’s reputation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is just obviously hinting at the aftermath of the French Revolutions and also telling us the present (at the time the letter was written). Mary gets executed by the Guillotine, and-well we all know how the rest of the story goes.
Overall, Mary’s deduction story is just a short summarization of what actually happened before and during the French Revolution: it even added the details of how actually sketchy and corrupt the royal family within was, not just the dissatisfaction of the public. As a summary of what this meant for Mary, as the Hunter, she feels pure bitterness, and anger towards the citizens for the way they treated her and the people around her. And as we can see, there was no reference towards Bloody Mary what-so-ever, and the reason why that is is because according to the Chinese version of IdV (which is what the original game’s region/language is) Her name actually would translate to “Madame Red”, not Bloody Queen. I think it was just the translators having fun with words, and since her design is very similar to that of what a person would think Bloody Mary looks like, i guess it made sense to them lol
But regardless, we’ll still take a look at Mary’s design.
Tumblr media
Mary’s design is simple compared to other hunter designs in IdV. A simple, ball gown which was originally white, but turned red due to Mary’s beheading, pools of blood dropped all over her body. Mary also used to have long hair, but assumed by the very broken looking locks of hair, her hair probably was cut down by the guillotine. Eagle-eyed people will also take notice to her neck, which is stitched back onto the rest of her body, which the designers wanted to include really bad since its prevalent even in concept sketches as well:
Tumblr media
Mary’s gameplay design is based solely on mythologies about Bloody Mary, however, which makes things kind of confusing, but i guess thats what idv excels at the most lol
anyway, you’ve reached the end! if you have read this far, thank you so much, i put so much effort and research into this and i hope people will make good use of it. I also hope i made you more interested in playing mary and/or the French Revolution, lol  but thank you for reading this!!
