Gorgug is at 6 barbarian berserker/ 6 artificer battlesmith- I do wonder if Gorgug was already leveled up before doing their downtime rolls or not. Because if he didn't he'd have a +8 instead of a +4 since he would get expertise in tinkerers tools at 6 artificer. (I might have made a mistake with this one, I thought I saw his card with 6 barbarian 6 artificier, but the wiki says he didn't level up and it might have been my imagination. his card might not have shown up since I assume he leveled up with his friends but he did all his downtime stuff last ep so it might not have appeared this ep)

Fabian is also a 6/6 with his multiclass being a 6 battlemaster fighter/ 6 sword bard. The level he took in bard doesn't give him much unfortunately as he already had multiattack as a fighter, but he does have an extra 3rd level spell slot to boost his damage with Fandrangore.

Fig took her first 2 levels in paladin using one of her warlock levels becoming an 1 warlock/9 bard/ 2 paladin. It's a bold move, since she no longer has access to her eldritch invocations, but to be honest, outside of hexblade's curse and hex warrior I don't think she's really used her warlock class that much it mgiht have been for the best. the big thing 2 levels in paladin gives her access to paladin spells and the ability to smite which she has a lot of bard spells to let her keep smiting.

Kristen, Adaine, and Riz all kept chugging along in their main classes. It wasn't the most exciting level up, not much new stuff, but they all got a new ability score upgrade/new feat. Kristen boosted her wisdom I believe, Adaine boosted her intelligence giving them both a full 20, the highest their scores can go without items or augments. I think Riz boosted his int too, but I can't tell since he was already pretty smart, but I think he only had a 16 before this level up, can't recall since I don't remember his card this session or the last, but his dex was already 20 and I'm not sure if he already had the alert feat or not.

Not the most exciting level ups to be honest, but sometimes that's how leveling up is in dnd. Sometimes all you do is go up in classes and ability scores instead of getting new features.

This anime season was the first season in a while I followed several series and finished them.

My general thoughts:

Chainsaw Man Season 1 – Entertaining action/horror. Cast with strong base personalities, interesting focus on craftmanship of moments and letting moments sit.

Pop Team Epic Season 2 – Extremely entertaining comedy. The series continues its streak of understanding shitposting and what makes it fun.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 – Fantastic finale to a fantastic series. The highlight of this season was concluding all character arcs in a satisfying manner. I also think it's one of the rare cases where, when looking at the series as a whole, I don't have any points I view as bad.

Most of my favourites at least have either a streak of episodes or an arc I dislike or don't care for as much as other material, but Mob Psycho doesn't have any kind material like that to me.

I initially wasn't as emotionally invested, but I never once thought the series was bad. In fact, I think the series doesn't actually have a single episode I think that's just bad. Which is very impressive to me.

To Your Eternity Season 2 – This is the only series this season I fell behind on.

It's very similar to my experience with the new Berserk anime or as a more recent example, the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer anime.

Production almost never gets in the way of me enjoying a story; the entire thing can be a slideshow if it has strong writing backing it, but the overall direction for season 2 of To Your Eternity made it so difficult to enjoy it.

The episodes don't let any quiet moments sit or action scenes play out properly and moving from scene to scene is stilted because the episodes just keep going in the same pace regardless of content and as a result of that, none of it is nuanced, when in comparison, if you look at the script, it clearly is supposed to be.

The series continues to explore some great ideas, so I'm planning to eventually watch it all (and if it is just that poorly made, at least catch up with the manga because in this case I can really tell the source is so much better than how any of the adaption makes it seem – I really feel like if there is one series that needs a remake in 10 years from now on, it's absolutely this one). 2/3rds or so of the first season were fantastic and ep 20 was a great finale for season 1, but season 2 has been really struggling for these 7 or so episodes I was able to watch before stopping.

This is literally the best anon I've had in my life thank you ok let's get cancelled:

1. El Pollo. Sergio, Posho, What can I say, hes my boyfriend, my king, my poor little meow meow with a berserk button and a questionable taste in friendships. Honestly hes the absolute heart of the show gluing everyone together. King of tragic romances- also very much the mean streets trope of 'sleeping with your best friends cousin because you're secretly in love with your screw up best boy friend'. Just such a tragic character because you want him to get out so badly and the ONE friend he has who isnt a criminal insists on dragging him back in. The way Ricardo treated him like shit and he STILL didnt mind being stabbed for him. So intelligent throughout the whole show and makes you so frustrated because he could have gotten somewhere. Truly the most tragic character as he sees where everything is going and is powerless to stop it. The faith he has in his friends is heartbreaking.Also 2000's Diego Alonso is probably the most beautiful man in the world so I'm biased but Clara was absolutely insane to chose that other guy with actual life prospects and stuff I would have proposed to Pollo the second he offered me the cigarette.

2. Ricardo. On god I hate this little cunt SO much and still at the end of the day hes the sacrificial lamb. Normalize 3 years of studying medicine and still being a fucking idiot who thinks you can get AIDS from cocaine. Too short to hold all the anger and fear in his body but truly truly just a little shit. The bratty girlfriend who makes you bring her to the party and then immediately starts bitching that she wants to go home.Truly a summation of what it feels like to be in your early 20s with absolutely no fucking clue with what you want to do. Babygirl. A boy of contradictions. The worst friend in the world with the fattest ass in buenos aires. The origin of "why are you as a man obsessed with other men ". SO good with kids I almost cried all the way through ep 4. Smacking a guy on the back of a head and stealing a chicken funniest shit in the world that scene made me cry with laughter the first time I saw it. Okupas drinking game- take a shot everytime this kid makes the worst decision possible in the situation. Fellow pokemon and mahler enjoyer. Also I have a whole essay on how like 70% of his actions post episode 4 can absolutely be put down to trauma but that's for another time. I want to hate him so much but I can't. Would love to have seen more about his and pollos history. Love how they styled him to always look like a little kid trying to look tough and it WORKS. He is cringe he is fail and yet he is my son that I feel a need to protect.

3. Chiqi. BEST BOY BEST BOY. Yes he wants to buy drugs yes he wants to know what's in the kinder egg hes a man of many interests. "Lobotimia....... electroshock..." Sound of the summer. I wish I was chiqi like hes literally the best friend. Like yeah he had some level of responsibility for some of the shit that went down but still. Friend shaped, in ep 4 when he gives ricardo that big hug I've never wanted to do that tik tok project into a universe thing more. Also that time he almost beat the shit out of Walter was really funny.

4. Negro Pablo. I KNOW hes horrific but god what a fucking character. No idea what's going on in his head he literally looks like a 12 year old in his little kit but still actually manages to be terrifying. Another character, probably maybe the 4th so far in the show, where you're like "oh that's a guy repressing gay feelings". Idk hes just fucking such good fun to watch. Dante mastropierro should have worked way more after this its I'm so upset he didnt becausevhes fantastic.

5. Claudio Rissi Van Driver. Idk I always keep coming back to episode 5 and hes at least 50% of the reason. Just such a real character but also so necessary after ep 4. "In the dock you dont leave people like this" Yes hes fundamental in Ricardos downfall by giving him the advice and helping him get back at pablo but also the way he helped the boys was just idk man. He kinda sums up what's great about the show for me. Theres something about this older presence with an unconditional care for the boys that you dont get with any other character. Also he was sexy.

Honorable mentions also go to Sofía, Peralta and Clara who are great characters. Walter is not on here because although hes funny this is a Walter slander blog.

Today’s Normal Navi also came from Stream Ep. 32, as a Navi in the past cyberworld, when Rockman was sent back in time 20 years. This Navi had gone berserk, and had Shademan’s bite mark in it’s neck, too. It attacked with a wrench, which Rockman was good at avoiding, due to his dodgeball background. Because as we all know, if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball...

However, after restraining the Navi, it’s bite mark began to glow, it deleted itself, and it’s dark aura went into Rockman’s bite mark: 

Barrel mentioned it’s Z crest logo (which is really hard to see on this sheet) was that of the Zephyram Company, a business that produced Net Navis. There, we saw the younger version of Enzan’s dad, seemingly in charge of the place. Not sure if that means it was really IPC in it’s infancy, or a totally different business.

okay, enough 01 for today! so these are today’s impressions:

the good

this scene between fuwa and aruto was very good and i wish there were more scenes like that. everything is much more realistic when the characters do have an impact on one another. not only humagears learn from humans - humans also learn from other humans.

isn’t a bit too early to get yet another power up? anyway, i like aruto’s new suit very much. one of the best suits in the show so far

it was cute to see the humagears from previous episodes again

the meh

the trial was... very boring. i won’t put it under the bad category bc i appreciate that at least the bad human wasn’t the lawyer the humagear was competing against

fuwa’s character development is right there. he’s still wary of working alongside humagears, but in the end he did it and that’s what matters. i wish aruto’s own stance about humagears changed a little bit? it’s about time we get some sort of development from our mc. as i said in other post, aruto’s feelings are basically the same as yua’s but sugarcoated (”humagears are tools” and “humagears are good because they make us happy” are basically the same thing). it’d be nice if he acknowledged that humagears deserve to be respected because they exist, regardless of whether they’re useful to humans or not

i still feel like the characters are walking ideals rather than actual people. i’m midway through the show and i don’t feel i really know aruto other than a couple of very shallow details, and some rando-of-the-week characters are much more fleshed out than yua. izu is just... there (although fortunately she did play an important role in ep 24). the most solid character so far is fuwa, hands down.

dear god, izu and yua barely have lines at all. valkyrie has transformed ONCE in these eps. it doesn’t sit well with me that the two major female characters are basically servants to men. i know it’s at least temporary in yua’s case, but i’m not so sure about izu. i really wish she had meaningful interactions with anyone other than aruto and developed dreams, ambitions and hobbies other than being aruto’s secretary. go befriend shesta or something!

while i like the suit, i feel a bit indifferent toward aruto going berserk? i didn’t find the execution particularly interesting. however, i dislike that he didn’t do anything to overcome this hurdle. while i understand that his kindness was indirectly a big factor, i wish he was allowed to play an active role in his own growth as a rider!

the wedding episodes... that woman’s childhood friend was creepy and yet we’re meant to find this romantic somehow? and they end up getting married??

KR Zero One ep29: The ep where Fuwa was the protagonist... in fact i feel Fuwa is the true protagonist. XD Aruto fails as main character in many ways, but anyways, that’s just my feeling. Now that finally, after 15/20 eps the plot is moving may be... just may be Aruto could do something good and worth and reclaim his main Rider position.. and for not annoy anyone with my CRITIC about this show...

We left with a defeated Aruto, because his humangear went berserk at his own will and began to insult people, but yeah... for Aruto humans are meanies. Of course Gai took advantage of that situation in the most treacherous way as he always does.

And Fuwa got controled by Gai thanks to the brain chip... really i wish they could have showed a small flashback of how and when they intalled him the chip. Dear lazy Zero One writer... flashbacks are good, please... use them.

Probably Naki will only appear in the special of the Bluray box. I really hope dont because will be another wasted character.

In this case...both are to blame. But yeah... for Aruto the bad one is humanity.

And instead of apologize and use technology for broadcast to all homes an speech that can reach human hearts... what Aruto does is...

... being pitiful. It’s not that Aruto speech is wrong or bad... in fact he have a point but feels like empty words. I feel Zero One want to pick the problem of machines stealing human work... in a very wrong way! XD And here we can clearly see that Izu is just a cute robot. She don’t have any dialogue, she is just there... being cute and being a victim the most dramatic way. And this don’t help, just makes feel Aruto more lonely than he already is.

And Fuwa just observing in the back... is... worse!! XD I mean... why he is not helping them? It’s not his duty? come on... he had already say it, he do what he want. This was a golden opportuny for show friendship, cute interaction. But no. I mean even Geiz and Sougo had A LOT more interaction, more dialogue than these two in 29 eps. And you know Zio is really BAD WRITTEN was awful, but the characters speaked to each other, interacted to each other, it was... good, characters were good. Here in Zero One... they are superficial, their only treat are their good looks, and even i admit Horobi and Jin, i like them more for the looks than anything else, they are good looking characters. Sorry, if you not agree with me, but that is what i feel.

Gai have a not healthy impulse to control tools! Wonder... why?! Probably we will never know.

Aruto... the only human employees you have are those two... any others are humangears and you don’t pay them any cent. Either way i guess Aruto is more concerned about the destiny of the humangears... wish... he really had a counter plan for that.

Is my head canon that every time Horobi want to say because he love or like, he says it’s the ark will. XD

I feel that is a big shame to know Naki only in the special of the Bluray box.

I know this was a dramatic scene... but... i laughted so hard... i mean... Horobi and Jin are in background watching Fuwa scream!! XD

It’s the first time i heard Humangear have souls! That is the singulaty point? But how can you program that? How even Humangears are made? By the magic of a satelite? I mean even Roidmudes in Drive have a good reason for them to feel human. For much that i didn’t like Drive... i have to admit that is way better than Zero One.

Izu for god sake... you are a Humangear... wish she could defend for herself instead of being the excuse for characters to showoff. There are other ways better to show off than use a damsel in distress, worst a ROBOT damsel in distress. But that could have been a lot of thought for our dear LAZY writer right?

THIS, this was good... so good, finally!! Finally some character grow!! I want to cry!! Fuwa, by his own will controlled the chip and transform. That’s so main character! TTvTT

That was romantic?! X,D Ok no, but... ahhh the ship!! Guess i ship Fuwa and Yua too!! X//D This too was too main character. I mean Fuwa was trying to take back Yua. He was speaking to her. Something that Aruto never did. In fact... with who Aruto speaks? XD And the fight was... so good. Screencaps will not do justice... so i skip it.

Again... Aruto didn’t say a thing... like some stranger. Excuse me... but i can’t... i can’t like Aruto and Izu like this... i can’t... i know everyone LOVES THEM... but... i can’t (goes to cry in a corner).

Yua... girl... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?! How many siblings you have that depends on your salary?

Oh yeah... the only dialogue of Aruto... and Izu... 0 dialogue... It must be easy to Noah to memorize all Izu dialogues. XD

So... it was true that Aruto lived on Hiden office?! He will return to live on the streets?! Let’s find out in the next chapter. XD

Transformers Cyberverse season 3  Eps 1-20 plot breakdown (MAJOR SPOILERS!!!)

So I have just managed to watch eps 1-20 of season three of cyberverse.  They are airing in rapid fire in the UK and getting uploaded to a few places on line.  Anyway, here is a rundown of the storyline and plot of the season so far.  

Major spoilers ahead so turn back now if you don’t want to it ruined

 So, first off the season has multiple arks and does periodic time skips to get from one to the next. It is also my opinion that this is by far the best season of the series and when you watch it you will understand.

The four part opening arc has the return of the autobots to cybertron.  The first ep mostly follows chromia and perceptor, who becomes blind, escaping prison but mostly sets up the following events. The ark returns but is destroyed by the cons, but the autobots called it and escaped.  Here we come to meat of it, a full on clash between autobots and decepticons.  

I feel whole heartedly that the “battle of cybertron” may be the biggest and most hardcore and intense on-screen battle in transformers history. It even puts the battle of autoboot city to shame in my book. It wasn't just teams or forces clashing but 2 whole armies going at it full force for three episodes. There was death, consequences, highlights for main characters but plenty of screen time for the generics. It was a real war like I don't think Hasbro has given us before. This was definitely a highlight of the series and has really elevated it in my view.

Anyway in the end, wheeljack destroys vector sigma to thwart megatron and the allspark is restored to the core. To spite optimus, megatron makes shockwave destroy the allspark.  Shockwave extracts his spark and enters the allspark and poisons it from within. Cheetor is forced to sarcrice himself to do the same and restore the all spark.  Weith that the autobots win the war.

In these eps we do have many new characters intros and a few deaths.  We are introduced to whirl, kup, skywarp(a female now), alphastrike(a renamed strika), dead end, repugnus(there are a bunch of him).i might be missing a few. For deaths we of course have shockwave and cheetor, but here is also prowl who takes a shot meant for optimus(it doesn’t seem serious in the moment but he never shows up again, so yeah).  We also have bludgeon, though not dead, finally getting justice for killing slipstream by being sent to Unspace.

We also have one other death of note; drift.  He reveals that rather than a con who became an autobot, he has been a loyal decepticon mole the whole time. He hunts down the scout team with the allspark and duels with hot rod before both sink to their deaths in some corrupted energon muck. Hot rod would later escape but no such luck for drift.  I actually hated this turn for him because it goes against everything the character has always been based on;  Just bad writing.

 So, by ep 4 we are thrown headlong into the new story line with no reveal how we have reached this point. The quintessons have invaded and conquered the planet, imprisoning all the transformers in a virtual reality of a constantly replaying parade.  So yeah, there are heavy, heavy, heavy allusions and straight lifts from the plot of the matrix movies.  It’s all a pretty fun ride though.  There is also a beast machines vibe as well.

The only free bots are perceptor, hot rod and clobber(who I love now), who hide and sneak into the simulation to try to rouse their comrades.  Their resistance is eventually joined by soundwave(who attempts to take command), dead end and whirl. They also meet up with maccadam, whose bar is strangely invisible to the quintesson scanners. We learn this is because the bar is part of the larger form of Iaconus, a berserker war titan in stasis below ground.  The team eventually meet the quintesson judge in charge, the quintesson scientist and free all the imprisoned bots.

We also learn that the quints are interdimensional beings that judge universes and destroy those they deem unworthy.  A full on rebellion forms to fight the quints and their forces.  A long, hard battle but it is won, though rather than see the fight through, megatron ditches to explore the multiverse. It is then that a worse threat is revealed; each universe has a new quintesson judge born from creatures of that universe.  The new judge is revealed to be a converted starscream, who told the quints about cybertron, along with two other aliens who form his other heads(one wants to probe everybody and the other wants to eat them). He surprisingly brings the transformers low before we get a titan battle between iaconus and a mind controlled croaton.

The day is eventually won by a returned megatron, looking worn and badass(double fusion cannon, missing eye) from his dimensional hijinks(and has his own matrix of leadership). The new judge is seemingly destroyed by he and optimus and maccadam dies during the titans battle(which he apparently foresaw and embraced). An uneasy peace is reached, half the planet to each faction and war if it is breached.  

The remaining few eps, which again isn’t the end of the series, just what has been released yet, is a mixed bag. There is an ongoing search for the scattered fragments of windblades mind, which was splintered by her freeing croaton from starscream. The autobots are trying to rebuild their side of the planet while the decepticons half is like a slum.  We also get hints that megatron is on the watch for something ominous he encountered in his travels.  We get two new characters; thunderhowl, a BW silverbolt type knight of old who swears himself to the autobots. There is also Wildwheel, a gunslinger who has an intense grudge against optimus and seems to look to join the cons.  He is cowboy themed because he was one of the autobots who fell from the ark as it crashed and awoke in the wild west and blames optimus for his being forgotten.

a special note is that in these eps, clobber has switched to the autoboots, which I just love because of how awesome her and hot rod were as partners in the whole quintesson arc. aside from the quintessons themselves that was my favorite aspect of that storyline. I also kinda ship them now, no regrets :) 

So yeah, that’s the basic story so far and its pretty damn fun and can’t wait to see where else it heads. 

for the rest of the season, based on the episode descriptions, there is more windblade searching, territory clashes between the factions and the ultimate threat of a being called The Other(probs who megs was looking out for and I hope to be unicron)
