i love the stereotype of punk just being purely scary and insane. like ya theres definitely some odd balls here (love u guys) (most of u) but im literally making myself a belt bag from an old pair of jeans!!!!! im over here doing arts and crafts for the sake of the environment.

fuck capitalism i wanna sew a bag. that i can attach to my belt. with loops. a belt bag. for my little things. fuck you!!!!! ill go listen to my political loud music too!!!!!!!

Quick zipper sleeves vest update-

Put on the back patch from my old vest and I’ve started mocking up the smaller patches and placing pins so it’s not totally empty.

Also thrifted a belt which I turned into a spiked cuff:

There are two ends with o-rings on them left so I’m thinking of placing them along the shoulder seams like this for decoration:

I have lots of patches I wanna get on here but figuring out the layout is tricky! Anyways that’s where things are at

Question about diexie dai (belt)

I received the following question from @aarghc about diexie dai. As I'm not familiar with belt construction, perhaps some other readers might be able to provide insights?:

I'm trying to understand the structure of 蹀躞带 dié xiè dai belts. There are many pictures where the hanging straps are clearly one layer, but here (https://fuckyeahchinesefashion.tumblr.com/post/664758617722994688/%E8%B9%80%E8%BA%9E%E5%B8%A6-di%C3%A9-xi%C3%A8-dai-by-cromartie) and other places where you see them hanging pouches from the belt, the hanging straps are 2 layered. From a modern construction perspective it would make sense for there to be snaps on the hanging straps to attach to the pouches but if not, then it looks like it's just friction holding the pouches to the belts? That's now how I'd like to secure my wallet. 8-) Might you or your readers have any insights on Chinese utility belt construction? 8-)

I made a belt pouch from old jeans and scrap fabric today c: very much inspired by @coveredinredpaint bc the second I saw their pouch (in this post) I was so motivated to make my own 🦇

Finished (almost) another scrap pouch! This time for myself 💅 took it out for a spin today while going on a nice nature walk 🍃

The patch is an mcr lyric "You look like somebody i used to love !!" from Vampire Money 🖤

im gonna add some buttons im making out of bottle caps and then add one more attachment to the belt so it can be a full beltloop pouch! Right now it can attach to one belt loop and swings around a lot. 🐟

Also heres the nature I looked at today. which does look a little danger days with the wires and sunsets and stuff 🧚‍♂️

Anyways, before the new year I drew a concept for a utility belt I wanted to make out of an army coat, and today I've pinned together all the components. Already had the wallet looking thingie and the lighter fabric pouch with the thigh strap.

It's that time of year when all the budget-conscious goth babes (and all alternative honeys) are out, restocking on clothing, accessories, make-up and decor items, for a fraction of the price.

It's not our fault 🙃

Those are usually too expensive or impossible to find, during the rest of the year.

But don't feel guilty to treat yourself occasionally, if it gives you the tiniest amount of joy, during these harsh times*.

It's more impactful than donating to large international organizations, where contributions may not be used as intended and everything ends up in a landfill.

*This also applies to food because "money spent on food and clothing is always money well spent" - just like my grandpa used to say.

Again, just make sure to be thoughtful, always prioritize sustainability, and when it comes to food - eat whatever, whenever you want/can. Just be aware and don't make it a rule and always try to find healthy and cheaper food alternatives.

I made studded cuffs!

I had an old Hot Topic belt that didn’t fit me anymore (is it just me or is the sizing there kinda funky?? BAD funky) and I cut it up into these!

I don’t have snaps, nor did I want to buy any (fuck Amazon and the Micheals that’s 30 minutes away from me!!), so I just used good ol’ fashioned hot glue. It was……….an experience. If you’re thinking of doing the same, glue the ENDS of the cut out segments together, and cut off enough to wiggle your wrist outta them!!

Super fun experience, totally recommend if you’re cheap
