i’m so sick of going on tik tok and seeing everyone fan casting *enter random pretty white actress* as ellie.
listen to me when I say this- the hbo show is an ADAPTATION. that does not equal having to be the copy and paste of the video game. if you want game ellie, play the fucking game or watch the gameplay on youtube.
bella ramsey does an AMAZING job as ellie. as a person who’s put hours and hours into the game, I truly believe bella captures ellie’s heart and intentions. they do an incredible job portraying a character who’s very complex and grows up in front of your eyes. just because this person does not “”look like ellie””” does not mean you get to bully them. I think bella resembles ashley johnson (the actress who they inspired ellie off of) and while they may not be a spitting image of ellie, they do an incredible job by acting exactly like ellie. the mannerisms. the facial expressions. hell even their voice! they aren’t even american and they capture the essence of ellie’s voice.
while they other actresses who have been fan casted are great actors, it doesn’t mean they can do all of those things. and if they can- cool, it doesn’t matter. bella has the role and they will continue to be ellie.
bullying someone for their looks is so beyond shallow and disrespectful. bring me one other good reason those actors deserve to be ellie over bella- without being related to looks.
i’m just so fucking sick of the tik toks. i’m sick of the hatred for bella. they deserve so much better.
#tw a rant#bella ramsey#they deserve better#tlou#that last of us hbo#the last of us#ellie williams#I had to get this off my chest#I could say more but it’ll get me in trouble

Co-Stars pt.8
Callum Turner X Actress! Reader
Summary: A bad joke is made about Y/n and Callum won't stand for it.
Warning: Joe Koy/ Swearing/ use of Y/n/ mention of being naked
Word count: 1.1k
Yn's outfit:

Award season was going well, she won an Emmy and now she was nominated for a Golden Globes for Best Performance by a Female Action in a Drama series. Unlike the Emmy’s, she was now nominated as if she was a main character, and it was amazing. The cast walked on the red carpet, again, getting yelled at by photographers. ‘’Good luck tonight, Y/n, I hope you win!’’ one yelled. It made the woman smile. ‘’Boys how does it feel to work with this amazing woman’’ without saying a word, they all start to kneel, to pay their respect to her. ‘’Oh my god’’ Y/n laughs. She takes a pose for the photographers and the boys get up. ‘’I love you guys’’ she says to her co-stars.
They didn’t know who the presenter was, so Y/n had to google him, but at the same time, Florence Pugh came to the table and asked for a photo with her. Her phone was towards the camera, her google research was exposed. But the ceremony started, Y/n was nervous, she was against really good actress, like Emma Stone and Bella Ramsey. ‘’Now Master of the Air was amazing! But I didn’t get why each time we saw Y/n on screen, we saw her naked, I mean, was the only purpose of her character, being naked? You’re playing in a series about WW2, not Sex Education’’ that was supposed to be a joke, but no one laughed. Y/n was looking at the presenter with a death stare before taking a sip of his drink. Joe nervously laughed. ‘’Sorry about that’’ he continued his speech but when he ‘apologized’ the camera went on Y/n and Callum. ‘’You better be sorry, asshole’’ Callum mumbled. He hid his mouth when he insulted him, but he didn’t understand why he thought making this joke was supposed to be fun. ‘’He clearly didn’t watch the hole show’’ Austin said to Y/n, which made her smile.
‘’And the winner is…’’ her heart was going to burst out of her chest. ‘’Y/n Y/l/n for her role in Master of the Air’’ She got up her chair, kissed Callum, hugged Austin and Antony, took off her shoes and made her way to the stage. She hugged Meryl Streep, she was presenting the award, when Y/n got to Joe, she didn’t hug him. She took the statue and came closer to the mic. ‘’Oh my god, wow, thank you so much. That’s amazing!’’ her voice cracked from the emotions. The crowd cheered for her. ‘’This series means so much to me, my wonderful co-stars, I love you so much. I don’t want to say the same thing as my other speech, because I did more than being naked in every scene, so I won awards, and people actually know who I am.’’ The crowd laughed at the comeback for the woman. Joe faked laugh and looked at the ground. ‘’To all the people out there, that are scared to pursue their dreams, don’t give up. You can do it, dreams come true! I got men kneeling for me, I won awards, and I got made fun of on national television! Thank you and good night!’’ she said, making the crowd laugh again. Callum was so proud of his girl; she stood up for herself and she did it the funniest way possible.
‘’The Golden Globe for the best drama Television Series goes to…’’ Drew Barrymore opened the envelope, the cast all held hands, silently praying. ‘’Master of the Air!’’ she exclaimed, stomping around in excitement. The cast got up, followed by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman. When they all got on stage, the trophy was handed to Gary. Callum and Y/n held hands; it was special to be on stage together. ‘’Wow! Thank you so much, this is amazing! This T.V show is, I think, really important to understand history and its darker parts. I’m going to stop talking or I’ll take all the time’’ Gary laughed. The mic was given to Tom Hanks. ‘’Like Gary said, this series is the third, we did Band of Brothers and The Pacific, but Master of the Air is the last and to see it getting so much recognition fills my heart with joy’’ he said, tears in his eyes. Steven stepped forward to talk. ‘’Thank you to everyone that made this project happen, to our beautiful cast, thank you for accepting to follow our crazy idea, love you all’’ he blew kiss to us. Austin stepped forward. ‘’Thank you so much. This type of series, uh, I think, needs to be done so the next generation can understand what really went down. Thank you so much!’’ Y/n smiled; Callum stepped forward. ‘’And finally, thank you to everyone that really watched the show and saw that Y/n wasn’t always naked!’’ that made the cast laugh. A Y/n face palmed, but she was happy to see that the joke wasn’t forgotten and that the guys didn’t like it. ‘’Yeah! Y/n is amazing!’’ Barry quickly said. The woman laughed as they all left stage. Backstage, they all hugged, even the directors joined in. ‘’I’m so proud of all of you.’’ Tom Hanks said.
‘’So, Y/n, a picture came out, can you explain what you were googling’’ the journalist asked, making the woman laugh. ‘’Uh, I didn’t know who Joe Koy was, so I looked him up’’ she simply said. ‘’About the joke he made, your co-stars became protective, what does it mean for you?’’ she was tired of this question, each interview station, they asked that question. ‘’Personally, I thought it was low, I mean, it wasn’t the fact that she was naked that made her win an Emmy and a Golden Globe, so yeah. But I think he learned his lesson’’ Callum answered. Y/n smiled and leaned her head against him. ‘’Thank you, good night’’ the journalist said. They could finally leave this place. Y/n has her statue in her hand, it was really beautiful. ‘’It’s going to fit perfectly beside my Emmy award’’ she said in the limousine. Making her co-star giggle. ‘’Like we told you before, we got your back, we weren’t going to let him disrespect you like that’’ Anthony said. Y/n thanked him as they made their way to the after party.

TLOU s2 first look (in video form) came out, and HOLY FUCK IT’S INCREDIBLE!! But you guys know me… you know how I am… let’s analyze this sucker.
Spoiler for tlou part 2
Other than the amazing dialogue and acting here, this scene thrills me because now we know we get at least a little more time with Joel. Thanks, Craig❤️
I’ve seen people say it could be therapy, which I love, but it’s also possible it could just be a normal conversation. Either way, I can’t wait!

Onto the next shot!

The “the tattoo looks bad!” People are sweating lol This looks AMAZING!! The scarring makeup is so well done! But ALSO did someone say shallow depth of field?? No?? Okay we’ll screw me I guess. Also, IT’S THE MOTH AGHHHHHH

Beutiful recreated shot. The shallow depth of field is gorgeous, and the lights… it’s just beutiful!

First thing’s first…
👏BELLA👏FUCKING👏RAMSEY👏 …holy shit.
It’s possible that the person holding onto Ellie’s shoulder is Maria, since if you turn your brightness up you can kinda see her side-shave hairstyle.

I have two theories for this: 1, this is right after the chemical burn? Or 2, this is after Joel dies? I could be totally wrong, though.

The guy in the background doesn’t look familiar to me, and none of the main cast have beards like that. I think he’s a new character, probably just a small role as a doctor.
ALSO DID SOMEONE SAY SHALLOW DEPTH OF—

This is definitely Jackson. You can see that the gates are the same as Jackson’s from ep 6.

And I’m fairly sure that it’s an infected horde, since none of them seem to have guns or weapons.

FUCK YES. LET’S FUCKING GO.
(No analysis here. Just hype.)

Definetly Seraphites, probably from the iconic forest scene. Looks great, love the lighting here.

First look at Dina!! Woo!!

Ellie has an assault rifle, and I think she might be on some rafters here, judging by the metal and because she’s definitely above ground level.

Gorgeous landscape shot, probably around the Jackson area.

JEFRREY WRIGHT RAHHHHHHHHH I don’t believe there’s a fight in the kitchen with Isaac in tlou part 2 (correct me if I’m wrong, but I definitely don’t think so?). He could be fighting Ellie here, which would probably be triggering for her (bad memories of guys fighting her in kitchens)

Firstly, KAITLYN LOOKS SO GOOD WOOHOO!!! Secondly, awesome recreated shot.

Not 100% sure, but could this be Tommy and Ellie? The first person looks like Tommy, with the longer dark hair and jacket. And the second person has the same color jacket that Ellie was wearing in the first look, and seems smaller than Tommy, which would also line up.

Awesome shot! I bet this is in the tunnels, especially since the shot after you see an infected slam against the doors.
Anyway, those are all my observations for now! This was the best 20 seconds of my day, and I’m so UNBELIEVABLY hyped!!

word count ✦ 2,202
authors note ✦ hope y’all enjoy appreciate everyone one of you ilyyyyyy
masterlist
Feedback & Reblogs are helpful and extremely appreciated ♡
“Why don’t you just move in with me?” You suggest, a thought you’ve had for several months now just now finally making it out into existence. Bella had been fretting over how tiring all the travel has become.
“What?” Bella asks.
“Well we’ve been dating for two years and you’re always here anyways so..” Your voice trails off thinking you’ve said too much.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah I mean there’s not much room but we’ll figure it out. We can move my stream set up into the guest bedroom.” Bella doesn’t respond fast enough causing you to panic. Before you can ramble some more or even worse take it back she responds.
“Yes.” Bella says nodding her head.
“Yes? Like yes you want move in with me?”
“Yes.” She grins softly realizing what she’s just agreed to. Bella closes the distance between you two throwing her arms around your waist. Hugging you, slightly elevating you from the ground emitting laughter from you.
“How wicked? I get to live in LA with my beatuiful streamer girlfriend?”
—
Bella was the first to make a move two years ago. After finding out they got the role of Ellie in The Last of Us tv adaptation they poorly attempted to play the game. After failing the first part several times they opened YouTube. Your video of you playing the original game long ago is the first one.
Their attraction to you is immediate. Binging your videos lead to a follow on instagram. No idea who Bella Ramsey was but you followed back anyways seeing they were verified. Finding them attractive and your beliefs aligning with theirs so proudly displayed on their profile. Bella is silent with their crush on you until one fateful day.
An interview after Bella’s announced to play Ellie:
“Fans are so excited to see this iconic game come to life on television. Did you know anything about the game before your audition?”
“I knew of it. Like I had heard about it before but I never played it myself.” Bella responds to the interviewer.
“Have you played it yet?”
“No. I tried to but I’m not really a gamer. I played the first twenty minutes before giving up and watching gameplay.”
“Gameplay?”
“Yeah uh this girl on YouTube. Her name is Y/N. Shout out to her cause I watched her play the game. She’s a twitch streamer. She was so good at the game and she’s really…” Bella’s stops talking mid sentence as they realize they’ve said too much.
—
It’s an late night as you live stream. Just chatting with viewers before you hop into the lobby when your feed gets flooded with comments about Bella talking about you.
“Bella Ramsey? Sounds familiar. What did they say?” Your busy scrolling through chat and racking your brain trying to connect the dots.
“It’s Ellie Williams in the tv adaptation.” You say out loud reading a chat. One of your mods sends you the link so you can react to it live on your stream.
“Should I watch it? Everyone’s saying yes. Okay I will react to it.” The link opens up to a YouTube video of a zoom meeting type interview. As the video plays you recognize the short haired brunette as the random famous person that followed you on instagram months ago.
“There’s no way. I didn’t know they were playing Ellie.” You smile watching your screen not paying much attention to chat. It gets to the point where Bella mentions watching gameplay instead of actually playing the game.
“Yeah uh this girl on YouTube. Her name is Y/N.” Bella says in the video.
“That’s me!” You shout, pausing the video. Pressing play when you’re done freaking out.
“Yeah uh this girl on YouTube. Her name is Y/N. Shout out to her cause I watched her play the game. She’s a twitch streamer. She was so good at the game and she’s really…” Bella doesn’t finish their sentence, eyes go wide and their the one to quickly change the subject.
“And really what? What am I Bella?” You pause reading chat. People letting you know all the things you are.
“User2643556 says I’m beautiful, sexy, and amazing. Am I Bella?” You tease, your tone innocent yet flirty.
“Oh what about this Justin says I’m a stupid wanna be gamer. Plus a few other bad words I won’t be reading.” You laugh, watching as your mod kicks them.
“But seriously Bella! And what? What am I? I must know.”
The next day you wake and first thing you do is check your phone, a daily morning ritual. The first notification is from an instagram dm from a verified account, you have to rub the sleep out of your eyes just too make sure your reading it correctly.
Bella: I was gonna say cute but beautiful sexy and amazing works too xx
After your done freaking out you respond with a thank you and a winking emoji. To your surprise Bella continues to message you, you two communicate for a week over instagram dm before Bella gives you their number. The conversation usually flirty filled with getting to know each other. Empty promises to meet in the near future.
—
A handful of die hard The Last of Us fans who all had fairly large followings were invited to the premiere. You being one of them, which came to you as a surprise because you had played the game but there were far more bigger fans out there. You were excited for the opportunity nonetheless. A large part of you more excited at the chance to see Bella.
“We’re so glad you could make it.” The shows social media manager, Victoria who had initially invited you says.
“Thanks for inviting me.”
“Don’t thank me, thank Bella they were adamant on you being here.”
“Oh okay, will do.” You smile, ignoring the fact that if it wasn’t for Bella you wouldn’t be here. Anxiety growing at the thought that Bella wanted you here. How at any moment you’d finally meet her.
After the viewing of the the pilot you are sat with the rest of the influencers invited in the panel room. Cheers notify you that the stars of the show arrived, Bella and Pedro. Your watching Bella as people converse with them. They’re not paying much attention eyes are wondering around the room hopefully looking for you, you think. Smiling ear to ear as they make eye contact with you. Bella had wanted to greet you on the spot but they weren’t aloud to veer from the schedule.
The cast make their way to the stage. Craig and Neil are the first to speak. Thanking everyone for coming and supporting the whole project. Then the cast are asked questions. Too enamored with Bella you don’t touch your food, too nervous to eat. They often sneak a look towards you smiling when they catch your attention.
To your disappointment you don’t get a chance to see Bella. She’s rushed to her table where she eats with the main cast. Then when it’s over she’s guided to somewhere behind the scenes your not aloud. You wait longer than you should have before deciding to book an Uber to take you home.
Your stood outside the building waiting for your Uber, sulking in your own sadness. The night not going how you imagined at all.
“Uber for Y/N?” Your driver speaks breaking your thoughts.
“Yeah sorry.” You walk towards the car ready to just go home and crawl into bed. Before you can open the door your phone vibrates, it’s Bella.
“Where are you?” Bella says as soon as you pick up.
“I’m getting in a Uber right now.”
“Why?”
“Because it’s over. I’m going home.” You hear heavy footsteps, looking back you see Bella running towards you phone up to her ear.
“Then I’m coming with you.” Bella says into the phone only a few feet away from you.
“Are you inviting yourself over?” You laugh.
“Oh fuck I didn’t mean to come off like that I just didn’t want to-“ Bella hangs up on you, now talking to you instead.
“Can’t believe you’d hang up on me.” You cut them off, laughing at the fact that the two of you were conversing over phone while stood so close.
“I feel like a real dick head. I tried so hard to get away from tonight’s responsibilities but they wouldn’t let me. You have no idea how badly I wanted to get away from it all and be with you tonight. I want to make it up to you.” Your cute moment gets interrupted by the Uber driver telling you he’s going to leave if you don’t get in already. When you go to open the door Bella assumes the worst.
“You coming?” You ask, returning the smile to Bella’s face as she climbs in with you. The drive to your place is filled with apologies and sneaking glances at each other. Bella doesn’t leave your apartment till the next morning, up till 4 am just talking. Feelings grow and laughter is shared. Bella is the one to kiss you before they leave making plans to meet again.
—
Bella moving in has been great. It’s only been a week but waking up and going to sleep next to the person you love every night is better than you could of possibly imagined.
You stream five days a week, leaving the weekend for yourself and Bella now. Originally your set up is in your bedroom, using your bed as your backdrop. Moving into the guest bedroom has been great. Creating a whole new look for your stream and having a lot more space. The other half of the room filled with Bella’s miscellaneous boxes.
Bella has yet to get used to your work schedule. Normally when they visited you’d take a break from streaming or do it while they were off working. Now that you live together, you had to work. So often Bella would interrupt unknowingly. Apologizing quietly as they walked back out of the room. Your chat taking quick notice of your smile and lovingly stare as you told Bella it’s okay, wondering who it could possibly be.
—
“Can you hear me?” Bella asks turning on her instagram live.
“Uhh yes it is I see your comments now.” Bella gets comfortable, reading comments out loud. Shouting out people as they asked.
“Ok the whole reason for this live. I just wanted to give some life updates. First I uhh moved to California.” She admits reading chat for a moment before responding.
bellaramzeee13: I thought you hated la
ramseyfantlou: NO Bella’s gonna change ):
thelastofbella: the uk will misss you
“I promise I’m not going to change. Some things just happened and I decide it’s best for me to live out here. Ya know? Closer to opportunities and other things… anyway thought I’d come on here and unpack with everyone.” Bella stands up from where they’re sat thinking your out for the day with your friends. Heading into your steaming room, switching the camera to the back camera ready to show the giant pile of boxes.
“This is where all my stuff is,” Bella is going on not realizing your sat in your desk live as well.
“What’re you doing?” You ask startling her so her phone lands on your just long enough for people to realize it’s you. Bella’s quick to stuff her phone in her pocket live still going.
“I’m sorry I thought you were with your friends already.” Bella’s panic has your worried.
“It’s okay that’s not till later. I’ll be right back guys.” You say to your chat switching to your I’ll be right back screen. You follow Bella out of the room into the living room.
“I was on instagram live.”
“Did you show me?” You ask.
“I dunno.” Bella pulls their phone out it now on the front facing camera, you laugh seeing your reflection on insgram live.
“Bella it’s too late your still live.” Your laughing harder than before. Bella’s worried faced fills the live and your laughter in the background.
bellsram01: YOUR DATING HER???!!
sarabeez: NO WAY
elliewilliams22627: wait why do I kinda ship it
justbellaaaaa: bella I think I actually want your girlfriend more
“Should I get off?” Bella asks you.
“If you don’t want to. It’s okay.” Bella sets their phone down using some clutter on the kitchen counter to created a diy tripod.
“Guess it’s out,” Bella laughs. You move into frame, leaning closer to read more comments. Laughing at all the funny ones, reading them out loud. Answering a few questions about your relationship.
“Well I got to go attend to my steam I was so rudely interrupted.” You sigh dramatically.
“If y’all want more of me I’m on twitch right now.” You smile for the camera.
“Are you trying to steal my viewers?” Bella looks at you shocked.
“Absolutely yes babe.” You tease, before planting a small kiss on their cheek before leaving bella alone in the kitchen. Bella reads more chat as everyone freaks the fuck out.
“I guess you all know the real reason why I moved to the states.”

Pedro Pascal looks nothing like Joel either. Facial hair is all wrong. They don't even resemble each other, but nobody says anything about that. All they want to talk about is how Bella is the one who doesn't look like their character.
Bella Ramsey looks equally nothing like their character the way Pascal looks nothing like his. I mean, he can't even grow enough of a beard for the role. But everyone's willing to give him more grace. Hmmmm....interesting.
Don't come at me with "but he acted better" as if the quality of the acting was ever a metric with which you judged these performances. Ever since the very first image we ever saw of Bella as Ellie, this person has been absolutely dragged through the mud at every single turn and nothing they ever do is right.
Of course, if you genuinely had an issue with Bella's performance, that's one thing. Whether or not a performance is convincing is subjective. But we all know that's not what's going on here. We all know it. The outrage when Bella was cast had nothing to do with whether or not they would be able to give a good performance.
I'm not even saying appearance isn't important at all. If you can get someone who's a good actor and who looks like the character, that's great. Be lucky. I'm just saying that it doesn't automatically ruin everything if they don't look like the character.
You could never escape it. How Bella Ramsey brutally murdered Ellie Williams with their very existence and how the world is coming to an end because HBO has decided to cast Ramsey in the role. The sheer amount of mockery was insane.
But sure. It was because they were concerned about the acting. Yeah, okay. Sure.
How is anyone supposed to believe this person is being judged for their performance when thousands upon thousands of fans are mocking them for their appearance?
Imagine if you were Bella. Wait, no, the haters aren't capable of empathy. Scratch that.
"It's like if Tom Holland was cast to play Arthur Morgan." How exactly? Hyperbole doesn't strengthen your argument because the difference between Tom Holland and Arthur Morgan is exponentially larger than the differences between Bella and Ellie. Arthur has to be big and rugged. Ellie just has to be a teenaged girl.
It is and always has been about Bella's appearance. If you replaced Bella with a more conventionally attractive actress, like say, every single person who was fan cast for the role, then there would be no issue.
Every single fan cast was only made for whoever looked like Ellie. Nobody considered whether or not they'd even be capable actresses because it was never about that.
So yeah, sorry if I don't believe you when you complain about Bella being a bad choice for the role because they're not a good actor.
Yeah I may or may not like Bella's performance but nobody deserves to be bullied for not looking like a supermodel.

Let's talk about The Last of Us season 2
The fandom is a mess, there's like two factions.
One that even though they may have liked Bella Ramsey in the first season, they think she is unfit to play Ellie in part2. And the other one were they don't accept the first one opinion, thinking it's all about Bella appearance and all.
First of all, let's talk about casting. I'm not an expert but I'm a movie fan so I know some things.
1. Yes, casting is more than just looks. It's about the ability of the actor to match the concept of the character, and in cases of adaptation, the concept they are trying to adapt. Their version of the character, not always the copy of the source material.
Also, part I Ellie was a teenager, so they needed an actress who could pass as one. And an actress who had good chemistry with the actor they chose to be Joel.
2. And another important thing that is often ignored is that if the actor worked with the production before (the channel, the showrunner…) and they like their work and how they behave on set and stuff like this, it can help them get casted. That's why Leo DiCaprio is always doing Scorsese movies, not only because he is a good actor but because the director likes him.
And that's why Melissa Barrera is out of the Scream franchise, because she goes against the views of the production that makes them. Even though she is a good and charismatic actress.
So, with all that be said, looks, chemistry, acting skills… if the production doesn't like the actor for whatever reason, he/her is out.
So yes, there's a lot of things going on with casting than just looks and acting kills.
3. I've seen some comments that Kaitlyn Dever, Maisie Williams and others auditioned for Ellie and lost to Bella. But I honestly don't know that. What I know is that back in 2013/2014 when there were rumors about the game being adapted to a movie, those names were fanfavs at the time to play the role. But when they started the pre-production of the show, I don't know if these actresses get to actually audition. I think they were considered but got cut out because they were “too old” to play p1 Ellie while Bella looked like a teenager. (Even tho Kaitlyn can pass as teenager, c’mon)
Anyway. It's season 2, adapting the second game and everyone who gets extremely triggered abt the criticism Bella’s casting is receiving (mostly for still looks like a teenager even though she is 21y), I can only think that y'all didn't play the game. Part 2 Ellie is a menace, like a wild animal, like Joel was before he met her - and even though she looks young (she is 19y after all), she doesn't look still 14y like Bella does. So yeah, Bella will have a difficult job to carry this one.
4. “And what about Abby and Dina”
Like I've said before, I don't like Kaitlyn as Abby cuz I wanted my tall buff woman on screen but I'm holding to the fact that she is an excellent actress (maybe the best after Pedro). And I'm curious to see how they will do her arc bc being buff is literally a part of Abby construction and development, and not only a game mechanic.
And also didn't like Isabela Merced as Dina. But after I've seen some scenes in Alien, I've got the vision. Still is not my fav choice, for Dina I honestly don't have another name in mind for the role.
I think if they had made a better characterization on it would be great. But It's like Dina - after weeks on the road with Ellie - manages to have her hair done…in the mf apocalypse, like c’mon. This breaks immersion.

kinda sad to see the bella ramsey slander gang... they made them look younger in the first season so why is it unfathomable that they can make them look older in the second? besides, it doesn't matter if ellie has a baby face, cause her looks aren't integral to the story! i have no doubt in bella's skills as an actor and her ability to convey the emotional turmoil ellie goes through in part two. i understand the disappointment with kaitlyn dever as abby, but are we seriously gonna underestimate bella AGAIN because of their looks? they've proved themself fit for the role repeatedly and i don't doubt they'll be able to nail the darker themes of older ellie.
however, it sucks they're part of a blatantly zionist production. neil yuckmann, the newer cast members, THE GAME ITSELF are all zionist. good talent (bella and pedro) wasted in my opinion. i love tlou and it's always gonna hold a special place in my heart but the pro-israel narrative of part two is disturbing and can disrespectfully fuck itself. please don't hype up season two. neil shitshow already gets enough money as it is.
(DISCLAIMER: this is not an attack to anyone disappointed with the casting for season two, i feel the exact same! i don't agree with the bella slander, though. i still respect all of your opinions, of course.)
#ellie williams#the last of us 2#the last of us season 2#bella ramsey#tlou2#tlou season 2#the last of us#the last of us hbo#tlou hbo#pedro pascal#kaitlyn dever#free palestine#confused as to why people are still doubting bella?#if you cant envision them as ellie simply because they look “too young” that's kinda silly#bella is an ADULT and a talented one at that

My review of Hilda season 3
A proper review. One without spoilers. I've been thinking about making this today. I'm still going to not tweet or post a lot; I want to keep my word on that. I'd rather retweet some important stuff. But I want to make a review on the entire season and give out more reasonable thoughts.
Yesterday, after two years of waiting. The third and final season of Hilda finally premiered on Netflix. And I have some stuff to say about this final season. Including as someone who's been following this show for five years.
I'm going to be honest, despite this final season only being shortened to 8 episodes. With 7 regular ones to the finale being legit movie length in a way. And whatever issues I and others may have with it. The final season of Hilda delivers an emotional final chapter for this show. Including this time, focusing more on Hilda's family which also introduces a new character by the name of Great Aunt Astrid.
And what makes this season interesting is that compared to the other seasons and the movie. This is not based upon any books. This is all new territory that surely still surprise a lot of people.
I want to admit something. And again, I am not trying to spoil anything huge. But considering the season is shortened. I was hoping that certain characters would get expanded upon or well, we get to see them one last time before the show ends. Mainly where they are now after the events of The Mountain King. I'm talking about characters like Erik Ahlberg, the Bellkeeper, the Marra and some others.
It's disappointing we don't see more of them. But to be honest, in exchange for that, we get a final season focuses more on the two characters I consider the heart of the show. And that's Hilda and Johanna, who is also possibly in her biggest role in the show yet considering she gets a lot more focus this time around. And to be honest, with how the story goes throughout the season. I actually prefer that much more than whatever else.
Would I have liked it if they did 13 episodes again? I wouldn't mind. But I still loved what we got. And honestly, I think some people are merely disappointed that this season, we get answers to some things to stuff people didn't want answered. But to me, I try to keep my expectations in check, and I rather see what the writers want to showcase to us. And honestly, the fans like me can explore some "Loose ends" in our own stories. And to be honest, it's not like this stuff is eating away at us. The Mountain King felt like a fitting closure to the show. But I'm so glad season 3 exists because of what it decides to explore and ending the show on such a beautiful note.
All the actors do a fantastic job as always. Such as Bella Ramsey, Daisy Haggard and everyone else. Especially with the time skip they decided to do. Having these characters grow up a little bit to me is a good decision. To showcase these characters are still growing. Yes, I'm one of the people who didn't mind Hilda growing a few more inches.
The show still has its very funny moments. But what was surprising about season 3 is how well...this is possibly the darkest the show has gotten. And somehow the scariest. Which may sound really stupid. But I swear to God as the show goes on. With the unraveling mystery about these "Two hooded" figures. There are times I legit worried for these characters.
I even felt like there was a contrast in tone between chapters 1 and 2. With chapter 1 feeling like a fantastical return to this world I've loved watching. And chapter 2 I swear, I feel like I'm watching something akin to Silent Hill. Which sounds like a very stupid comparison. And then there's chapter 6 where I am scared for these characters I have cared about for so long. It really says a lot even in a show like this, and the fact this isn't based upon any existing material. It gives you a feeling when you've grown attach to these characters and seeing them in some of these situations. Whether harmless or not.
I swear, I felt uneasy during certain moments. Because I now understand a certain friend of mine and whoever else. I just felt even more genuinely worried for these characters. In fact, there is a scene that I told my best friend RySenkari, "I HATE THAT F***IN SCENE!" not because it was bad or anything. But because let's say my...the show really tugged at my heartstrings or something. Because there was no way they were going to do that, you don't do that to me.
In a funny yet sick way of looking at it. I think I went through my "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good." moment because again, I hate that scene in the finale.
Yet that also grows into how far these characters have grown since the first season. How much they have changed since we first met them. And it's a beautiful thing when see them succeed.
The soundtrack by I think it's still Ryan Carlson is still powerful as always. That I want this soundtrack to be released on YT and Amazon Music soon. It's likely the best the score for this show has ever been. Also, the main theme by Grimes is beautiful as always.
Also, I've been wondering about changing my header/background images again. The ones you see on my Tumblr and Twitter accounts. I'll even do the same for my PlayStation profile's background.
The animation is fantastic as always. The scenery is beautiful as always. I feel like I have nothing else much to say. But it's merely me just loving this season. Yet compared to the earlier ones, I feel...hesitant to rewatch it. Again, this may sound stupid. This is the tensest the show has been. And the writers somehow made this more intense than some things they pulled in season 2 and The Mountain King. Those mad geniuses. And this is a show that's geared towards kid but everyone in general. That speaks volumes of how good the writers are.
And while there were some reveals that I feel little bothered by. But I still liked what they delivered. Again, that finale...that finale is something.
Again, despite it being only 8 episodes. Season 3 is pretty an emotional final journey for the fans of this show. A humorous, yet pretty scary at times adventure that pretty much makes you cry over these characters if you've become attached to them. It had that effect on that. I talked about my reaction. I'll admit, I do think maybe my...Autism might've had an effect of how I reacted. It likely did, but I'm not going to bring that up again. It's something I just wanted to mention.
I'm wondering if I should say anything else. But I want to be done with this review. I don't think I have nothing else to add other than the fact if you've haven't watched Hilda yet. I highly recommend watching seasons 1, 2, The Mountain King and season 3 right now. If you have time that is. December is the perfect time to watch this show. I talked about how this show feels kind of perfect to watch it during this time of year. I assure you; you will not be disappointed. And hopefully, if you've read my reaction to season 3, you'll understand how I felt.
And especially with how stressful the last few weeks have been. Watching Hilda again is always a great thing. I'm still not leaving this fandom. I will always love this show. But right now, I'm going to take it easy a bit. I'm not going to post a lot, make any manips and whatever else. I'm going to try to relax a bit. It's weird this time around I have a job now in the morning and I couldn't or well...I didn't want to lay in bed after I finished the show. I stood up all night after finishing it. Luckily, I took a 5-hour nap before that.
Again, thank you Luke Pearson and everyone who has worked on bringing this beautiful show to life. I'll never forget this. I'm always going to cherish what you all made. You made me and others so happy with what you've made.

Daniel Kaluuya, Stephanie Hsu, Bella Ramsey, Sophie Nelisse
daniel kaluuya does NOT need me he knows what the FUCK he's doing!!! even so. i think he would ASTONISHHHH in an adaptation of like, othello or something. like he's got the absolute dramatic CHOPS to pull off an incredible stage-to-screen performance and i think with the right direction we could go with a less stylised adaptation than the joel coen macbeth/baz romeo + jules but still end up in a veryyy sexy place with an othello written WITH him in mind. i think we need like.... pedro is too It Girl for iago right now and suuueeee me but i dont think he could pull it off ddl would be perrfffeect i hate his 'retired' ass!!! idk who his iago is but i think kaluuya IS othello and this needs to be made. but keep mr brannagh far away from it!
steph hsu is a GODDD of comedy and i'd love to see her get to make the kind of absurdist-leaning kind of thing she's spoken about loving and being passionate about (listen to her las culch ep for more detail) HOWEVERRRR if we're here to make Art that Makes Money (which if we're playing producer we Are).... i think i'd like to see her play a scammer/criminal of some description... not to the stress levels of good time and not quite with the stakes of say breaking bad or whatever... but like a low-level fraudster or something whose life is unravelling around her... i think she's SO good at winning audiences' sympathy that like. say we're trying to get her some Awards i think she's gotta play a villain!!! and she's not the romcom easy job type of person nor do i see her as a romance drama or Simple Life Drama actor. maybe she's just a small time dealer or launderer and shit hits the FANNNN. she gets betrayed. OOOOOH boy she would do betrayed so well. anyways
bella ramsey should take a break from acting!!!! child/youth stardom scares me!!!! they should not have been doing this kind of work so young take a break!!! game of thrones when they were THIRTEEN??? CMON. go on holiday with your friends go to uni drop out have fun figure out your life!!!!
ok sophie is not that much older howeverrrrr she's got a healthy relationship to her career and her roles and hasnt been in anything scarily high profile the same way bella has so. i think we can have fun here. i think revisiting period pieces as an adult would be interesting... she's clearly very into the action type stuff but i think she's also too talented to get anything out of a Big Flick and there are no interesting/fun action franchises she'd be suited to right now.... she's too Normal to be useful in a comedy... ACTUALLY i think. i think we make her a Horror Girl. i think we give her a VVitch with more action. like a haunted/devilish 18th century Pastoral Horror but she actually gets to like impale people with a pitchfork or something. that could be fun

I tried to find video for the segment of Jonathan Ross Show featuring Bella Ramsey – but without success. So this is from an article about their appearance.
Game Of Thrones star Bella Ramsey has said they used to “cringe” watching themselves on the hit TV show and was unable to view it again until recently. The actor, 21, also known for their role as Ellie in The Last Of Us, rose to fame portraying Lyanna Mormont in the fantasy HBO series. Speaking on ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show, Ramsey said: “I’m only at a point now I can watch it (Game Of Thrones). “It made me cringe a bit. I found it so bizarre it was me. You do get used to it.” Ramsey also spoke about the stunts they have done as an actor, hinting that there will be more in the upcoming season of The Last Of Us. Ramsey said: “Second season’s a lot more (of that). It’s really fun. I have got hurt. “I got hit in the eye by a dying clicker (a zombie-like creature in the third stage of being infected) and I got a black eye. “Second season I got a proper bust lip (from another fight scene). I love it. I really love it. I’m very good at getting injured just enough that I can keep working and not stop. “Horse riding I learnt for Game Of Thrones. They gave me way too much training for that. But I did train again for this season. There’s boxing, some Brazilian jiu jitsu – you can be small and take someone down.”

If you endured the emotional rollercoaster that was season 1 of The Last of Us, then you certainly know what we mean when we say it’s time to start preparing for season 2. With the first official teaser having recently dropped, fans of the show are anxiously anticipating the series’ 2025 return. The debut season brought angst, heartbreak, and a new appreciation for Linda Ronstadt’s “Long Long Time” that we never could have predicted. As viewers anticipate the arrival of season 2, here’s everything we know about the HBO hit’s return, premiering on April 13 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and streaming on Max. Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us, 2025Liane Hentscher/HBO What was ‘The Last of Us’ season 1 about? HBO took on this post-apocalyptic drama series based on the video game of the same name. The hit show begins right as a dangerous fungal infection starts rapidly spreading, and jumps ahead twenty years after the scene is set. Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, is hardened by the early days of the outbreak, as his daughter was killed while they were attempting to flee from the chaos. Now living in a quarantine zone and working as a smuggler, he is enlisted to bring a young girl named Ellie (Bella Ramsey) to a hospital in which they can use her to find a cure, as she is immune—but their journey is far from easy. The story is thrilling and kept us on the edge of our seats while being simultaneously heartbreaking. Both Pascal and Ramsey’s performances in the series have been widely celebrated, with each of them receiving Emmy Award nominations for their roles. Now, with season 2 on the way, we can only imagine what’s in store. Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, The Last of Us, 2023Liane Hentscher/HBO What will ‘The Last of Us’ season 2 be about? It’s been confirmed that season 2 of the series will stick to the storyline laid out in the video game, and with that in mind, fans can expect to experience a range of emotions. Perhaps you’ve played the game and know the story for yourself, but if you’re lucky enough to be in the dark, anticipate an emotional rollercoaster. The second season will jump five years ahead of the events that took place in season 1. “Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind,” said a statement from HBO. Who will be in ‘The Last of Us’ season 2 cast? In addition to familiar faces like Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, viewers can expect to see a few new yet familiar faces joining the cast this season. Kaitlyn Dever will be taking on the role of Abby, Young Manzino will be playing Jesse and Isabela Merced will take on Dina. Additionally, none other than Catherine O’Hara will also be joining. Viewers can also expect to see Ariela Barer playing the part of Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord bringing to life Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny and Jeffrey Wright playing Isaac. Danny Ramirez, Tati Gabrielle, Ariela Barer, Kaitlyn Dever and Spencer Lord, The Last of Us, 2025Liane Hentscher/HBO “I have an odd relationship with Pedro’s character,” Catherine O’Hara told Entertainment Weekly of her character. “You don’t quite know why she’s got…well, she’s got this edge to her, but it makes for some weird, good dark comedy, I think. So it’s there. I never want to deny the gift of humor.” When is ‘The Last of Us’ season 2 coming out? It was recently confirmed that the season would be premiering on April 13 at 9 p.m. EST. You can catch the premiere on HBO or streaming on Max at the same time. It will consist of seven episodes in total. ‘The Last of Us’ season 2 trailers and teasers In a haunting teaser for the second season set against the soundtrack of Pearl Jam’s “Future Days,” we hear as O’Hara’s character states, “You can’t heal something unless you’re brave enough to say it out loud. Say the thing you’re afraid to say. Say it out loud no matter what it is, no matter how bad. What did you do?” The teaser also gave us a glimpse at Kaitlyn Dever’s appearance in the series, as well as the ever-present threat of the undead. In another teaser that announced the arrival of the show in April, we get an even deeper look at the threats in store for the second season. “It doesn’t matter if you have a code like me. There are just some things everyone agrees are just wrong,” we hear Kaitlyn Dever’s character of Abby say. What have the showrunners said about ‘The Last of Us’ season 2? Looking ahead, die-hard fans of the video game in which the series was based off of are curious as to how closely the show will stick to the plot of the game. However, creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann assure fans that when it comes to the tiny details, none of their concerns go ignored. “I think there is still this anxiety, like, this constant drumbeat of anxiety. All I can say to people is: I have so much anxiety myself, about doing a good job on this,” Mazin told Variety in March 2023. “Just know, I am also very anxious. If you’re anxious about something, I’m probably anxious about it, which means we’re talking about it and thinking about it. We will present things, but it will be different, just as this season was different,” Mazin continued. “Sometimes it will be different radically, and sometimes it will be barely different at all, but it’s going to be different. It will be its own thing. It won’t be exactly like the game. It will be the show that Neil and I want to make.” Bella Ramsey and Isabela Merced, The Last of Us, 2025Liane Hentscher/HBO Something else the duo touched on regarding season 2 was the presence of the infected creatures, which they assured fans will be more prominent as opposed to the first season, which focused heavily on creating and building the relationships on the screen. Mazin also touched on what’s ahead in season 2 to Esquire, saying, “This should be fairly obvious to anyone by now, but I don’t fear killing characters.” He continued, “But the important thing to note is that neither Neil nor I feel constrained by the source material,” referring to the plot of the game. What has the cast said about ‘The Last of Us’ season 2? As for the faces bringing this series to life, the actors and actresses set for season 2 have shared their excitement, including newcomer Isabela Merced, who will play the role of Dina. “I’m so excited for people to see my chemistry with Bella,” she told Collider. “Bella and I have so much chemistry. From the first day, it was there. There’s no work to be done. I really respect Bella. I just saw Catherine Called Birdy and Bella has such range and just an honesty about their work. I’m learning so much. I’m very honored to be here.” Before filming for season 2 kicked off, Pascal also touched on what he’s excited for in terms of what was to come. Liane Hentscher/HBO Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, The Last of Us, 2023 “I’m really excited that there’s a likelihood that the dynamic between the two of them has really changed and that the texture of that is something that goes even further in the playing,” he told Deadline in June 2023. Kaitlyn Dever also spoke with Variety about the pressures of stepping into such a highly-regarded series, saying, “Being a part of such a big and very, very loved franchise, it is something that I haven’t ever done before, and I’m learning every day just how to move forward in this new world that is the Last of Us fandom. I think it is always hard stepping into that, especially because it’s already had its [first] season and I’m the newbie to the world. But I think that I’m almost treating it and approaching it like I do with everything, which is just wanting to come at it with authenticity and honesty and trying to be as organic as I can when approaching the role and bringing my own sort of energy to it, if that makes sense. I want to do the character justice, and I hope that people enjoy what I do with that.” See the all-new ‘The Last of Us’ season 2 promo posters!
