the Browns skating James Brown was my favorite performance of the day - really good, really fun ❤️‍🔥 they do the splits on the ice together - the deep curves they’re drawing on the ice the whole time too🔥 they always had skating skills, but they’re skating bigger and with a bit more power. they might have scored higher if they skated later. Pate/Bye got higher PCS then them 👀

there are a lot of Saturday Night Fevers, Car Wash, James Brown. two teams doing Rich Man’s Frug from Sweet Charity - it’s so in Lauriault/LeGac’s wheelhouse that it feels perfect for them

Flores/Desyatov: the Twist, Jungle Boogie, and Great Balls of Fire - one from each decade, i guess? they feel so chaotic lol sometimes it works, like the way they go into the lift - and other times it feels disorganized?

Browns: James Brown Get Up Offa That Thing. awesome- they wore older costumes, as did other teams

Pate/Bye: Le Freak, Car Wash, Shake Your Groove Thing

Neset/Markelov: ABBA - Waterloo, Fernando, Gimme Gimme Gimme

Fabbri/Ayer: Elvis - Jailhouse Rock, Suspicious Minds, Blue Suede Shoes - looking good - they always feel like a broader strokes team to me, primary colors - it’s not what i gravitate to personally, but they skated well

Annabelle Morozov/Jeffrey Chen: also James Brown Get Up Offa That Thing, I Feel Good - they’ve gelled much faster than he did with his previous partners. they had the tough luck of skating just after the Browns, and this program isn’t good by comparison. idk about MIDA choreo 😬

Bashynska/Beaumont: after seeing more of the RDs for this season, it feels like this isn’t doing them any favors

Tkachenko/Kiliakov: Adriano Celentano - Svalutation, Amore no - nobody can say they’re not unique. i’d never heard of this artist, but i guess he was a huge deal and sold 150 million records. it has a different sound from everyone else, and she’s wearing a dress that looks like Mondrian

Larson/Kapran: the other Rich Man’s Frug - this program was fun and had a lot of character, but i’m surprised it scored as high as it did

Lily/Nathan: both songs by The Commodores - Brick House and oof i’m blanking on the other one. i feel like they were underscored a bit - they’re performing bigger, looking good- maybe the song choices aren’t distinctive enough? Pham/Spiridonov: Dirty Dancing - Do You Love Me, Crying, Wipe Out - tailor made to show what they can do while disguising what they don’t do well yet. probably ranked higher than they really skated

Dozzi/Papetti: Tequila and Jump in Line - i loveeee this - what could be a novelty program is an adorable dance program- they calibrated this so well - the choreo, the costumes, and these two 😘

Nosovitskys: Saturday Night Fever - their coach is an ISU tech specialist and they often look kind of frantic because they seem to propel themselves with short choppy strokes. idgi

Fournier/Zhu: Back Street City Lights, Kung Fu Fighting

Alyssa Robinson/Jacob Portz: Saturday Night Fever - they were a tiny bit late for their warmup - came hurrying in with Madi and Adrian - don’t know what happened- they really get into character with this dance style- they, especially him have a sense of cheekiness about it- she had a fall in the MiSt today unfortunately

Roberts/Alis: Rolling Stones - Miss You, Satisfaction - they’ve grown a lot since moving to IAMO

Shilling/Baeten: James Brown - I Feel Good, Super Bad - hello new IAMO team, I wasn’t familiar with them from before- looking forward to more

Ritter/Brykalov: Boney M - Daddy Cool. Fever- good to have them back♥️

If you're only commenting on a fic to ask for an update or worse, to be passive-aggressive about wanting an update, then please do both yourself and the writer a favor and don't comment at all.

Saying things like "Can't wait for the next update!" as part of a comment about how you enjoyed the chapter is one thing, but just going into the comments and being like "Where's the update?" or "You haven't finished writing the next chapter yet?" or something similar is not only rude, but also I ASSURE you it only serves to make the writer anxious about writing at all.

Fic writers are not content creators. We're not robots. We're real people with careers, families, and other irl responsibilities. Writing is something I do in my thirty minutes before I go to bed to wind down from the day. Whatever I want to write that evening is what ends up getting written.

So by making me anxious and putting pressure on me to update a fic, especially in that passive-aggressive way that so many people do, all you've ensured is that when I open up my folder that evening to see what I feel like writing, my eyes will completely skip over that WIP that I got the rude comment on that day because I Feel Bad about it and now I don't want to even look at it.

So please, just follow the golden rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

#i have a few fics that every few months get a comment like this #it really just sets me off from even attempting to go back to them #actually rn I have them yeeted in a different folder because I just get so anxious just looking at their titles #I honestly am close to straight up deleting one of them off ao3 #because every other time I get a notif that someone commented on it #all the comment is is some passive aggressive BS about wanting an update #it makes me just...not want to read any comments on that fic #i really dont mind people gently nudging updates on fics that i'm actively updating #because like i said i have a life outside of this #and sometimes i genuinely don't realize that it's been 5 months since a fic has been updated #but like just don't be passive aggressive about it #fanfiction #ao3 #danny phantom #yes im tagging the phandom i write for because apparently some of u need to read this

#one of my favorite things about ffvii's story is that every tiny event comes with a million new What Ifs.#what if tifa didn't recognize cloud at the train station? what if she chose not to help him and instead just minded her own business?#what if cloud didn't have that sword? would tifa have even noticed him? or would she have assumed that he was just another mako junkie?#what if someone else had found him first? what if someone called public security and shinra came to 'investigate?'#why was cloud in sector 7 anyway? what if he'd been in sector 5 instead? would aerith have discovered him?#was he trying to catch a train up to the shinra building in order to follow the reunion? since jenova's body was up there?#every answer creates a bunch of new questions. the story writes itself in your own head. uuUUAAHHGHH i love this game #ffvii #cloud strife #tifa lockhart #my art <3 #.............what if cloud had stumbled onto the tracks and gotten run over

#didnt mean to do this one in quote unquote colour but it wasnt legible without it so. heres a treat i suppose #isat #isat spoilers #in stars and time #in stars and time fanart #isat fanart #isat loop #isat bonnie #lucabyteart #coughs up a lung. anyway. ramble time as per usual. this is what i was warming up for btw in case it wasnt obvious #besides being another entry in the 'letting bonnie read loop for filth on accident' series. this is mostly self indulgent musings on #headcanons (and i will just use that word here.) ive previously rambled about in other tags and posts #namely: in the scenario that loop integrates into the party as a New Person for quite a while before The Truth Come Out. i feel they have #a decent chance at really scoring a slam dunk in becoming a guardian figure for bonnie? loop's demeanor is already colder and a tiny #bit more level-headed than siffrin's in the way they seem to discuss bonnie with them. namely pointing out that bonnie #never really hated them. it seems to be one thing they're genuinely at peace with? they've seen by now the truth that bonnie #was just scared and upset. and likely now knows that what bonnie wants is to be treated with grown-up respect within reason. plus loop #already scores bonus points with bonnie since they didnt 1. fuck up bad like sif did in act 5 and 2. saved sif in the party's eyes #... but then when it turns out that this clean-slate relationship with a stranger was siffrin being deceitful? must have been odd.#bonnie seems to really dislike being lied to. the question is whether they'd see it that way? would they feel betrayed there?#anyway. this is set after all those emotions are at least settled some. loop able to be more physically affectionate... and yet #still not letting themselves be quite as close as they'd like perhaps. perhaps...#anyway translucent pyjamas because i dont care if you're comforting a crying child you've GOT to SERVE!!!#and also i feel like the party probably wouldn't let loop stay completely naked for that long. especially not post-reveal anyway
