Is it just me or do you all think the new Mario Villains from Brothership remind y'all of older rpg Villains.

I've seen people make connections for Zokket and Bleck, same goes for Reclusa and Dimentio.

But extention corps is just a more techy version of the best fitness friends tbh.

Dieter is Ten

Kaley is Ecks

And Beef is Shun

Like sure their personality traits are pretty different, but their appearance is similar, Dieter and Ten are the tall skinny ones, Kaley and Ecks are the short but they float ones, and Beef and Shun are the fat ones.

Based on one of Jellos posts about the changes to the Mario movie that would fit her story, made me think if something.... if Spike were to grab Luigi instead of just throwing a tissue at him. How would Mario react? How would Luigi react? What if Spike said what he said to Mario towards to Luigi.

The hard part would be Spike grabbing Luigi in the first place imo. Mario has really good reflexes, and at the first sign of a threat he always takes care to put Luigi behind him. Spike couldn't even succeed in lobbing a tissue at Lu while Mario was there, good luck actually grabbing the guy.

If he did succeed in grabbing Lu? if he said the things to Luigi that he said to Mario? Public location be darned, Mario's coming in with the steel chair.

In Parkour Civilization, noobs can do a one-block jump for a raw chicken to barely survive day-to-day, or they can attempt a more difficult one-block vertical jump for a piece of raw beef, which gives more saturation (energy) and allows them to attempt levelling up to the Pro Level. Does your blorbo play it safe with the chicken or risk it all for the beef? Do they succeed or fail?

Out of all the things that threw me through a loop in the mario movie, the bros taking their gloves off was the most oddly jarring. I said out loud “they have flesh hAnds!-”

I have played the M&L saga more, but in these games they mention that when Mario goes on adventures alone, Luigi stays and fixes "minor problems", but the Toads never take him seriously, even when he accompanies Mario, for them the hero It's Mario and Luigi is just there. Depending on the comment, Luigi can react with sadness or anger, he wants recognition for his actions. Mario hardly ever intervenes, and if he does it's not with the Toads, I think for him it's a joke between Luigi and Toads

This response is 5 years late, but yeah, it's weird. And I'm playing through Superstar Saga right now (very fun, but the Cackletta fight is definitely something that makes me want to throw things through out of windows aaaaaaagggg) - anyway, the point being that the Beanish people definitely don't react to Luigi the same way, so it's a Toad thing, for sure, and I just need to know the backstory on that.

my biggest beef with the otherwise delightful mario movie was the fact that mario and luigi were absolutely robbed of their cake. they had no ass. especially mario; he was thicc before illuminations got its hands on him lmao

I read the first half of this ask and thought you were talking about the cake Peach usually bakes for them as a thank you in the games, lol.

But as much as I hate to say it, I think making the character models assless was out of self preservation. Thicc Mario Bros in the hands of the animators/storyboard artists that made these???:

King Boo's possessiveness completely passed over Luigi's head as he says " My brother's not ugly!"

Although Mario ever the winged man yells " YOU JUST ADMITTED THAT YOU THINK MY BROTHER IS GOOD LOOKING!"

King boo wasn't embarrassed! He is the king of all ghosts and ghouls he doesn't get embarrassed... And whether if he made Bowser promise that the stayed between them and only them is none of your concern.

How are you enjoying Brothership?

i finished it and it's good! scratches the right itch for M&L players while still expanding on some unique mechanics. Really like that some decisions will affect your route, giving it more replay ability!

and i know i mentioned this before but i do have some beef with everyone suddenly noticing Luigi and getting his name right and even sort of shoving Mario to the side?? like, neat, Luigi's getting due recognition for being clever! but when it happens while he's literally just standing there existing it feels extremely unnatural given his history and it was exaggerated to the point where it just kind of pissed me off 🙃
