there’s this one comic ae’ve been trying to find that ae’ve only ever seen two pages of, but it’s a pretty unique concept so y’know. you’d know it if you saw it

basically, it’s a sea grunks era comic where the stan twins come across the hand witch again. they strike a deal with her, essentially trading her ford’s hands for a five-fingered pair of hands. ford’s ecstatic at first, talking about how he’s ‘normal’ now and he can go buy gloves now and…he falls silent and looks to stan with just. such a sad expression. and stan’s goes ‘i knew you’d miss ‘em. let’s go get our sixer back!’

in the off chance ae never find it and the comic never went beyond that, it’s still a really interesting concept and ae like the direction they seemed to be going with it and ae think it’s worth sharing with you all regardless ^^

#ae always love when stories don’t go ‘oh no ford hates his hands full stop’ cause. c’mon #it’s so much more in character and has so much more potential if he’s actually extremely attached to them #ae mean think about it-#he seeks out gravity falls because it feels like he belongs there more #he decorates his journals with large gold symbols traced directly from his hands #he had a large paper with his handprint alongside stan’s taped on their childhood bedroom wall #the first thing he does when coming out of the portal is splay his hand over the symbol on the journal before picking it up #he didn’t have to do that. he chose to do it #it’s not something he truly hates. he just hates the treatment he gets for them #(and all that makes mabel’s ‘six fingers! that’s a whole finger friendlier than other handshakes!’ comment so much nicer than it already is #(she’s single-handedly holding up the world and we love her for it)

i practiced my tour eyeshadow again today 💞

#definitely an improvement. got some tape and its such a game changer #no cut crease today but im happy with how it came out!#it does definitely make me *want* a cut crease for the actual look tho. so that's good to know #and it needs to be more purple. its very blue today. but its more of a navy than a purple blue #still pretty though!!#probably matches my features just fine bc navy is a great colour contrast. but yeah!#im having a good time ☺️#it's fun to get to reclaim feeling like a girl in my childhood bedroom where that wasn't encouraged #i was told makeup is a waste of time and other girls who do it are stupid. and while makeup *can* be dangerous in a self-image way #it's really difficult to feel locked out of a certain aspect of girlhood. where everyone else can play but you Cant #and it makes you feel wrong for wanting to try #it isnt the only thing that makes you a girl. it isnt even needed for that #but it *can* be connected to femininity #and it feels a little bit like i'm teaching younger char how to do it 💞#c.text
