I will support any Actor who is going to play the role of Sophie Beckett. Unconditionallly.

But I just have one request.

Do you see how the first kisses of each couples in Bridgerton drama series tend to be really passionate and hot from the beginning? It’s very heated, very dramatic. Very Romantic.

I loved every scene.

But for Sophie and Benedict, I really REALLY want their first kiss to be gentle and sweet, a soft, tender kiss.

Both in the terrace scene and the lake scene.

This is the only thing I wish for.

Maybe I’m wrong.

My theory (that I've literally just manifested)

This is a flashback of Mariner and Boimler from the Alternate Universe we saw from 05x01.

The Titan uniform and short hair on Boimler, is this set immediately after the Transporter Incident when Brad is sent back to the Cerritos?

Mariner having her sleeves rolled down makes me think this is definitely Captain Becky Freeman when she wasn't AS stern and ruthless.

Did something happen to their Bradward, which Becky feels immensely guilty about?

Did their Brad die because of Becky, which makes her the angry, fear mongering captain we've seen ? Is Bearded Boimler actually their William??

You know what else upsets me? I’m in season 6 of SG-1 so I just watched the episode where Daniel ascended. And I understand that his being written out had a reason and also the way they did it I don’t feel like it was undermined when he does eventually return so like yes I miss him but not angry about it(also it helps that I really like Jonas but anyway not the point I’m making right now). But while they think he’s dying, each of the team members gets a moment with him to say how much they love him and how much he means to them. And then even though he hasn’t actually died, we see them mourn him even going into season 6. And I understand the situations were different but I feel like Carson really didn’t get the memorialization he deserved. Like sure we get to see Elizabeth say some nice words at his memorial and then there’s the end moment with Rodney but then it’s just kind of…over. And don’t even get me started on how angry clone Carson makes me. Like ‘oh here’s your beloved doctor back sort of but not really.’ I am honestly so heated over this.

... and the association of Vic with Beckett...

There's this thing about associating a woman with a man. Whatever happens, there is like a transference of hate to the woman and love to the man.

Men already get less hate doing something worse than women and more love when doing something minimally decent. The way the narratives are framed on the show don't help.

The choice to - make Maya give Beckett the bottle shifted the blame to her, absolving him. Somehow to some, she became the worst person on the show and whatever she did was her personal unique moral failings. Beckett's long list of poor choices made throughout his captaincy that endangered himself, his team n civilians... The resolution was merely his voluntary stint at rehab. Oh and quietly demoted. No mention of his wrongdoings again. Everyone's just fine with him already. Just like how they accepted his bad behavior right from the start.

The choice to - make Vic to not notice maya's distress and say those words about her, a longtime friend and teammate while being hyper aware of Beckett's state and being especially empathetic towards him.

I hope the speculation isn't true. It'll be a disservice to Vic as a character. It's the use of a well-liked female character to redeem a disliked male character.

On a show where already

... the men don't really need to work on themselves - the characters around them simply lower their standards to accommodate.

... toxic masculinity is conflated with addiction/ mental health issues,

... the men's addiction and wrongdoings - related or not to the addiction, are systemic issues - of the healthcare system failing Sullivan or an inter-generational alcohol problem trapping Beckett

I'm all for the empathy for the struggle with addiction n underlying issues but against using them as excuses to not hold people accountable for bad behavior.

Benedict Bridgerton could be a terrible person in the beginning of the AOFAG. Tries to fuck a girl and loses his mind when she rejects him. Absolute dickhead.

But this dialogue is so beautiful.

It’s actually the most beautiful, most sweetest, most caring, most considerate thing you could ever say.

Especially to a girl who had been abused all her life.

To a girl who never had a place in Society.

To a girl who had been rejected for her mere existence.

Most love confessions, or iconic lines in the Bridgerton series are placed after episodes 5, near the climax or the end of the season. Most characters need time to acknowledge their own emotions or feeling towards the other to burst into a verse.

But this iconic dialogue comes up early in the story.

Very very very early in their relationship.

Far before he realizes that he’s in love with Sophie.

When he had only known her for a few days, Benedict unconsciously understands Sophie’s deepest insecurities, and reaches out to help her.

Another iconic dialogue in AOFAG;

“Be mine right now. Be mine forever. I’ll give you anything you want. All I want in return is you.”

Very Sexy. Very Romantic. Loving all of this.

But incredibly possessive.

But in the next chapter, he saids “Let me be your Anchor.” ?!?!

God, the duality of Benedict Bridgerton….
