Anyway, the name of the game when it comes to Jason Todd is gaslight gatekeep girlboss, because there is no way in hell some of these bitches rly think he's as bad as they say he is. Especially when you compare his shenanigans to the shenanigans of characters like Bruce or even Tim.
Yes, he kills people. Yes, he can be pretty uncaring about the collateral of his plqns.

As for the Helena stans and their beef with Jason, idk what to tell ya, mate. Well, other than it's madness, of course!!
There's definitely a convo to be had about male characters getting more space to be complex than female characters, but that's not what's going here. What's going on here is a treasure trove of fandom feminists have decided that Jason has far too many ~feminine~ traits and that he doesn't deserve to have the support he has within the fandom. Why they’ve come to this conclusion is so inane and idiotic, I refuse to dignify it with a response, but it’s that type of shit why I rly want us to go back to the days of decentralized fandom spaces. Spaces where mods actually had the power to cull and reject nonsense, before it started to spread like a virus. It wasn’t perfect (it bred an air of smug exclusivity that stank of unwashed ass), but it’s better than having to deal with assholes spreading liberal nonsense like”Jason Todd is a cop cause he kills and uses guns”.
As if cops are only dangerous because of the extra judicial killings and the apparatus most associated with them 😒😒😒
Anyway, I would bet money that most of those so called Helena stans don't even care about her like that as a character; they just hate Jason.
Which kinda sucks, cause I find Hintress - like all the Gotham vigilantes - to be fascinating characters. But my want to actually pursue any new info on her has been dead on arrival, because her stans are fucking assholes.
Bottom line, Jason’s story resonates with a lot of people. If you don’t get it or can’t bring yourself to understand, then like… Don’t. You don’t have to. The world would be so much better off if people learned that sometimes… the media you consume is just as personal as it what it says about you publicly.

Why is everyone acting like this race is Daniel’s farewell? They are really pissing me off, I can’t enjoy any session because everyone has horrible takes on him,even when Bayer confirmed this won’t be the last race.
Simply put, because it generates attention and clicks. It’s for this same reason that that RBR news account posted about Helmut’s comments on Ralf Schumacher acting like Red Bull’s ‘press spokesperson’ but not Bayer’s interview confirming this is not Daniel’s last race.

its kind of funny that ppl are talking like Literally Everyone is Actually saying or implying they would rather have the ice king than simon that. seems like an exaggeration. the only people who say anything of the sort are astrid, who wasn’t even born yet while simon was still ice king and just thinks of him as “cool wizard” and “wrote some fun books”, and fionna & cake, who have seen approximately 10 seconds of ice king in a moment where he’s not doing particularly bad, and who have only interacted with simon at literally the lowest point of his entire life so far. what finn & tv say in ep2 reads as them hearing the conversation and assuming its more along the lines of “simon being embarrassed by work he thinks is bad” than “simon trying to avoid this thing because it is associated with a traumatic part of his life”. and prismo is just like. a little peeved that he can’t access or control his own creation anymore. Like, the Points people are generally trying to make when they bring this up are not without merit, and you could say that’s the message simon got from the last couple of days but. unless i forgot something there is absolutely 0 indication of any person who met ice king saying anything that remotely actually implies they enjoyed having ice king around more than simon. we just have a handful of people saying they happen to like One Thing ice king did. the people of ooo did not undergo a wave of selective amnesia about the ice king

#okay i’m gonna try to keep this short and sweet. 30 tag maximum you are my nemesis lol#my main issue here is not necessarily that the karaoke and other bach party scenes have likely been cut#it’s more that they’re clearly buddie baiting for engagement#journalists were watching the episode as early as saturday. which means the ep was ready by at least this time last week#so they knew that the scenes had been cut. and they chose to continue including it in promotion and interviews#i KNOW that logically the reason they chose those scenes to cut was because they’re less important. and we’d already seen them#they technically already gave us the clips in the promo videos. right? so bye bye#but that’s bullshit. sorry#they used buddie best friendism content as a way to promote the ep and increase hype#and then they just pull it out from under us the day before it airs#this is a madney episode. madney are getting married. buddie having fun is not the most important thing here. i get it#so why did they not promote something else? you’re telling me there was NOTHING ELSE they could’ve used?#nothing else from the episode that was free of big spoilers? at all???#it’s madney’s episode but they chose to promote one clip of buddie talking to maddie. one of chim crawling. and the bach party stuff#they must know that people would focus on the bach party. buddie is beloved buck and eddie are beloved#what were they expecting??#they used buddie as a pairing as bait. not queer bait and not even ship bait i suppose as there was nothing ‘shippy’ shown#but they baited buddie content. that’s literally what’s happened#i would be more understanding if this wasn’t a regular occurrence. it’s normal sure. shows do this all the time with fan faves#but also it is a false reflection of the episode. even journalists are saying the episode is not what they expected from the promo#it honestly feels like they’ve made fools of us. maybe the episode will air and it’ll be better than expected#but i don’t have much hope not much hope for buddie. not much hope for madney getting what they deserve. I think the worst part about rpg manwha/mangas is that they never fully commit to the gimmick.
#this is especially egregious in player manwha and isekai manga#all these bullshit stat screens that never actually matter because mc accidentally killed some big stupid monster 3 minutes into having a#system.#a slightly more aggravating variant is just cherry picking the skill system and mob drop mechanics#they say it’s like rpgs in story but they’re actually just playing dnd with less steps#in quite literally less steps because the leveling system or either completely broken or just missing#my player manwha enjoy sister looked at me crazy for wanting an rpg manga/manwha where the mc realistically worked to get strong#*enjoyer#or maybe I should just boot up dragon quest instead of expecting trash filled genres like player manwhas and isekais to commit to anything#there’s some good ones out there but they’re usually forced to live next to brain melting slop#these niggas need to get on the grind is what I’m trying to say#rant

sometimes I wonder if I should take a gender studies class just so I can bitch every day about how an imaginary boyfriend is often seen as a requirement for a woman to feel safe enough to have fun at a club, or the idea that an imaginary person with a fake “claim” over me has more influence over predatory men than my own voice saying “No, I’m not interested, get lost”

I’m angry#im tired of living in fear of morons#I’m tired of not being able to go out on a Tuesday night and just walk the town with my friends#specifically my femme friends#we should be at the club!! instead we’re trying to make sure the group is like a school of fish so we’re less of a target#and like. When you don’t like a book that much, but not enough to abandon, or skim through it, because it’s still mildly interesting; so you binge-read chapter after chapter so you can finish it as quickly as possible without sacrificing your comprehension. But as you’re doing this, the plot thickens, and you actually start enjoying yourself.
#The Rebuilt Man (AKA: the book I should have been able to finish a month ago because of how tiny it is sksjsjsksksn)#The plot has really picked up ngl#I hate that Beechcroft has to randomly mention everyone’s weight at all times like a fucking maniac (even when it’s completely unnecessary)#and if the character is anything larger than rail-thin; he does so in a disparaging way#Just ick… please seek help for your body image issues and don’t project them onto literally every character in your book#There have also been a couple of “breasted boobily” moments; but they’re not that bad… kinda funny#Like consistently mentioning the sweat breaking out BETWEEN and ON TOP OF Lori’s breasts… I mean… underboob sweat is a thing#but between and on top of the breasts of someone described as “willowy?” (read: not much chest tissue) I don’t think so#or maybe I don’t sweat as much as a normal person and my view is skewed idk… still seems like bullshit to me#And in a couple of instances it’s stress sweat; which would be under the armpits… but she’s too pretty to be gross#(SARCASM)#Prettykin’s parts are entertaining to read (he’s a hitman)#The whump of the MC is pretty good and lasts throughout in short bursts#It also gets… spicy#There is definitely some fan service ssjdnsnsnsjsnsn

#like obvs if they literally can’t speak for themselves but even if they’re only like five or six they’re voice matters#and yes if there’s like definitive proof that the parent they choose is hurting them/an unfit parent that sucks#but kids are also so much smarter than people give them credit for#i’m so pissed off rn bc my brother is getting divorced and his ex is a manipulative bitch that has such control over him#she’s convinced him to go 50/50 with her having placement and it’s such BULLSHIT because shes an awful mother#she’s put hands on her kid before and she lives with her parents who are constantly yelling at him#not to mention she has two other kids shes fucked up and one doesn’t even talk to her#and my brother isn’t the best dad but he’s way better when she’s not around#and he also lives with us rn so the kid at least has me and my parents who care and have patience with him#and it’s just pissing me off bc everytime my nephew leaves here he throws a fit bc he doesn’t wanna fucking see his mom#and he’s just allowing her to make the fucking decisions. he’s not standing up for his kid at all#and it’s not like i don’t have sympathy for the fact that she’s clearly manipulating him but#BUT SHE HAD HIM ADMITTED LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING HES SINGING HER PRAISES#i’m just so pissed. i want better for my nephew#he deserves so much better than this#liz rambles

Fucking wild day at work today like what the fuck
#like it wasn’t all that wild until literally the last two minutes of my shift when I walked outside looking for one of the shift managers#because my GM was on a conference call and the other two shift managers that were there plus another one who had just like stopped by were#all nowhere to be seen#any fucking way….. I walked outside because I knew that the one that stopped by was out there talking to the one that opened this morning#and I walk out there like who is in charge right now and they were like idk and then I started to be like oh well I just needed some#questions answered about stuff before I leave (which I ended up saying fuck it and not asking or saying anything about those things)#but then!!!! (also keep in mind these two shift managers are my closest work friends and the one has been working with me since day 1 over 4#years ago and the other has been around for the past like 2.5 years probably?? but like we worked together every day pretty much)#anyway I say that about having questions and start to tell them and they’re like well it doesn’t matter#or it didn’t matter to the one or something like that BECAUSE SHE IUST GOT FUCKING FIRED#AND I SWESR TO GOd I WAS LIKE DID I HUST MISHEAR THAT WHAT THE FUCJ DO YOU MEAN YOU JUST GOT FIRED#FOR WHAT?!? what could she possibly have done?#and it’s some big long bullshit and I just can’t believe it#so I stood out there for another few minutes on the clock not paying any attention to wtf is going on in the store because literally what#the hell but eventually I was like I’m just gonna walk in and clock out#but we still didn’t know who was in charge and then like 3 of us were leaving but no one new had come in yet so I just had to interrupt the#GM on his call (with our district manager sitting beside him) to be like can I leave? and then I just clocked out and went and stood outside#for like 45 minutes with my friends talking about the absolutely bullshittiness of the entire situation#like I can’t believe it#and I’m sure that she can’t believe it either#it was literally out of nowhere#our GM didn’t even know about it until after she’d been fired like it came from higher up in corporate and I just…. I hate this for her#but at the same time and she said this too that she was comfortable here (same) and if she wasn’t fired she probably wouldn’t have quit for#a long long time and like… same here#but if the other shift manager that I’m friends with quits she better tell me first and we’ll put our two weeks in together#I’m not fucking staying when everyone I like working with is Gina#because days they’re not there o fucking hate it#we went from having a good core group of people every day to it just being the three of us and now it’s just the two of us#plus like another 3/4 people that I usually love working with#though one of them irritates me a lot too but she’s been there since the start for me too (and she’s also on the brink of quitting)
