First of all, I’m ethnically Chinese, which means my great grandparents originally came from china. I was not born on the mainland, nor was my parents, nor was my grandparents. And where I am currently living, consumption of dog meat is illegal. Even in China, the amount of dog meat consumption is drastically decreasing.

That is an old, outdated, stereotypical, insulting way to refer to Chinese people. Not only that!

You also might refer to people from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Ghana, Laos, Vietnam, Nigeria and Switzerland. Unless you’re saying I’m from all of those countries, your statements makes no fucking sense.

I’ll wrap it up, in the end, I may laugh, joke around, make fun of such comments, but I draw the line when it could potentially hurt bigger groups of people.

Some of the House committees have 2 websites: 1 run by the majority party and 1 run by the minority party. Generally they’re pretty similar, giving information on who’s on different subcommittees and what they’re in charge of. Some of them are a bit petty, and include links to that party’s member’s official websites but not to the websites of the opposition. Which is silly but ultimately harmless since you can google these people and find the websites that way.

I have barely spent 2 minutes of the websites for the Judiciary Committee and they are so fucking biased against each other. The majority party run site is much much worse about it than the democrat run one, but they’re both much more blatant than any of the rest of them from what I can tell. Granted that might change as some of the rest of the committees get new interns to update their websites, but for now this is the most painful one.

I’m a little disappointed in the Yashahime manga’s portrayal of Rin. She was always a little silly, but it was in equal measure with her dignity and polite nature. I so want to see more of her and her relationship with her girls and Sesshomaru.

However, I love that it showed Sesshomaru’s mother talking to her alone (even if she goes goofy over tempura immediately after telling them this). There are hints of such depth that deserve to be explored but I don’t feel like she’s being fully appreciated.

She was never this silly in the face of serious problems even as a child.
